We stayed in the old trailer park side which was not great. Lots of random asphalt and concrete pads with BIG drop offs. The bathrooms were gorgeous and very clean, so big plus there. While very nice, the folks at the main desk/store seemed unorganized and not super knowledgable on their own offerings. The tube ride was especially chaotic, but it was AMAZING, so it was worth the effort. The heated saltwater pool is open until 10pm, which was unusual and super great for after dinner swimming. The pluses outweighed the minuses though, so we will be back!
This is hands down the nicest campground I have been to. Very large, full hook up sites each with a concrete patio for your camper. The bathrooms are the cleanest Ive been in. The pool was heated and well lit for evening swimming. There is a nice playground and amenities for the kids. The driving range was well kept. There is a nice pond near the river for the kids to catch sunfish etc. On top of all of that Kevin and his crew could not have been more accommodating. We booked two sites late in the season and as such, could not find adjoining sites. There were a couple cancelations and Kevin called me while we were on our way to the campground to let me know he had switched us so that we could camp next to our other party. If it were closer to my home, I would book a seasonal site there in a heartbeat. I will however definitely return for another great weekend at this amazing camoground!
Totally recommend this campground! Friendly Family atmosphere. The salt water pool is a huge hit with the kids open 10am-10pm, even if it’s chilly out the pool is heated to bath water temps. We stayed in one of the newer Family Cabins, plenty of space for 7 of us, kitchen, ac/heat, Flat screen TV. Several playgrounds and areas for kids to ride bikes and run around. The check in center has a store with anything you might have forget, and a full menu of hot prepared foods, ice cream, slushees, and coffee.
Amazing weekendBeautiful view..booked the same site next year already, backed up against the horse pasture.Kind, friendly campers and neighbors!Amazing, helpful staffPool was clean and beautiful ..kids especially enjoyed night swimming!!Ice cream and pizza was a bonusDogs liked running around in the dog parkLaundry mat was clean and super helpful for drying towels and suits !!See you Fourth of July 2022🇺🇲
Quality camping resort with unique features. Great views, roomy and level sites with concrete patios. Plenty of trees but not enough to ruin sunny days. Cabins available. Heated and lighted pool thats open late. Pavilions for group events. Driving range with ball vending machine and used clubs to borrow. River access to the east, for fishing or tubing. Nice general store that also sells finger foods, pizza, and ice cream. Dog friendly.
Been coming here for years! Last 2 visits this season were not pleasant. Septic over flow...yuck! Cost of fire wood...then we see him collecting all the unused wood to resell yet again! Smh....they get it from down the road for 5.00 a truck full and charge an arm n leg for a small load bucket! Quality is failing as they are trying to expand! Got scolded for booking online with camp spot apparently they get charged a 10% fee.. how did we know this?? We booked on off their website! Then we had reservation for a golf cart for the weekend...then owner tried to take it away after a day saying it shows we only had it 1 night..huh why would we book it for a weekend and only use it for 1 night again bad management! 16yr olds running the store. Clueless what they are doing. I use to rave of this place now Im unsure...as they get bigger so do their egos!!
The owner is putting a lot into this park, we really enjoy it. This is a former mobile home park, the sites are large but the electric pedastal quite a distance behind the sites, my standard 50 amp cord which comes out of the side of my camper wouldnt reach. If your cord comes out the rear of your camper you may be okay but I suggest bringing an extension cord. 50 feet total will work, the same goes for the water hose. Other than that, Im sure you wont be disappointed at this campground.
We just came back from a 4 night stay and loved it there , nice flat sites all have full hook ups, paved roads , camp store , menu ( we didnt utilize but it was there) and a pretty path to the river for tubing and fishing. The only thing we found that was kind of a con were the golf carts that were being used were being driven around by underaged children, at one point two of them were driving side by side on the road racing one another, park owners really need to get a handle on that but other than that we loved it and will be back.
2021 was the first time camping at Trout Run. Well… it won’t be our last!!!!! Nice big sites and many things to do even when it was raining and cold. This memorial weekend will be one we won’t forget! So much fun! The owner and management were very busy and accommodating and we were glad to be apart of their first holiday weekend of 2021!
Cabin was very clean. Enough space between the cabins, each had their own picnic table and firepit. The pool and playground are perfect for the kids. Great little getaway weekend spot! I would suggest changing the variety of drinks in the fridge in the mini store, and some flavorful coffee creamers for the morning. We will be back!
Great campsite for exploring nature and keeping the kids entertained! Swimming pool is wonderful and always delightfully warm. Creek and swimming area offer so many adventures and so many opportunities to connect with nature! Campsites for campers are huge and super easy to pull into. Wonderful family adventures were had by all!
Was really looking forward to camping here. We usually camp at KOA’s, but all were booked. We stayed in a new family cabin… they are nice large cabins, but not like the pics posted on the website. Porch is not screened in and the insides are not fully furnished as the pics show. When we arrived , we were told our cabin was ready and handed the keys. The cabin was close to the front and was not the cabin we had booked online months ago. Cabin was dirty and had not been cleaned since previous people checked out before us. Gross. A very nice worker approached us letting us know he hadn’t cleaned the cabin yet and they shouldn’t of let us check in. He stopped what he was doing and cleaned for us. When bringing our concerns up to the girls at check in, their only answer was that we could get a refund and leave. They didn’t care we were sent to a dirty cabin and that it wasn’t even the cabin we booked. They called the owner and he also did nothing for us. While we made the best of our stay and had fun with our family, we will not return and will stick with KOA. There’s not much to do here, the pool was dirty and disgustingly warm with it being heated and 85 degrees outside. The traffic noice from the main road was constant and at night, no security. KOA does it right! Thanks for the memories Trout Run, but you could learn a few things from KOA!
We just finished up our vacation with our two children & dog. Great campsite! We stayed in the Deluxe cabin, our kids loved sleeping in the loft areas. We appreciate that it was pet friendly as we have a large German Shepard. The camp store had everything we may have forgotten (camp chairs!) It is also close to town for anything else (DG & other grocery stores) Kids loved the pool and enjoyed walking the dog around the campground.
First time here. Booked way in advance. Full hookup site. Positive a pool for kids. Fishing for husband down the road. Biggest negative was our site was next to the road, so my view and sounds all weekend were cars. Convenient snacks for the kids with good hours for store and pool.
We just got home from our first weekend at Trout Run Campground, it was absolutely amazing. We had such an amazing experience. The staff was amazing and very helpful. First Responders weekend was absolutely perfect and a great show of appreciate for all that they do for our community’s. We will definitely be coming back next year.
Love this place ,, please know that my family and I have been to at least 70 different camp sites through out the years.. they are doing a lot of work on the property ( not disturbing any of the campers) and you can tell that the owners love this place and by the time theyre done itll be even more beautiful. Love the river , pool , driving range and all the clean facilitys. Not alot of shaded sites so pick wisely, but a very fun place.
Great campground, big sites, lots of grass. Nice heated pool that is open 9am-10pm! Access to the river. New campground but talked to the owner and he has great plans for it! Hook ups can be difficult to connect to at times but they are workable. We will definitely be coming back!
Nice, quiet atmosphere. When they put on an event.....THEY PUT ON AN EVENT!!!!!!! You can clearly see the owners pour their heart and soul into their campground. Nice heated inground pool, events for children, VERY spacious sites, reasonably priced, and friendly staff. Theres a creek in the back for fishing, tubing, exploring, with shuttle service as well. Pet friendly, kid friendly....overall GREAT place. One of the cleanest and nicest campgrounds Ive been to!!!!!
Artbyjo touring America as fulltimervers documenting America one town at a time and Rv Park. This is the most unorganized parking lot, the water has such a strong odor, expensive and really no tv channels. Off on again 6 channels. Not to noisy for all the people walking in front, behind and beside the house.
The best place, people and gorgeous sites. Staff was very accommodating and so friendly and nice to talk to. The huge pool is beautiful and heated. They are open till end of Oct. They have great bands that play on lots of weekends, there is river access to Geneseo river. They will organize float trips, put you in and bring you back. Train rides for young kids and tractors rides for all ages. The coolest golf carts we have ever seen!!! We had a blast!! Also big playground and lots of big swings for grown ups too! Cannot say enough about this Trout Run Camp Resort in Wellsville, NY, we love it and we are going back!!!!
This campground has nice facilities that are well-maintained. Most sites are sunny or lightly shaded in a large, grassy field, but there are a couple of 3-wall lean-tos isolated in the back near the river if you want to get away from it all with some almost-primitive camping.
Nice place camp sites are large. Pool little cooler then in past but still nice. Large river frontage. They have golf cart rentals. Personally not fan with the people driving all time making hot laps but to each there own. Staff including owner super nice and helpful.
We were unsure of the place when we first pulled up because it was a little small. But! It turned out to be a beautiful campground with a lovely river to fish and kayak in. It was too cold to use the heated pull (we are from Florida), didn’t want to freeze once outside. The staff were so pleasant. Felisha helps run the front desk and she was very sweet and accommodating. She came over to our site just to chat and see how we were doing. We got to meet with the owner who was kind as well. I recommend this site to anyone passing through the Wellsville area.
What a great place for a family vacation. The owner is very friendly, and is invested in the park. Nice saltwater pool for cooling off, bounce houses, wagon rides, playgrounds, driving range, corn hole tournaments, etc keeps everyone busy. Very spacious. Trails to walk, rustic camping available. We didnt get to tube the river this time, but we are already booked for next year.
I stayed here this previous summer, and it was terrible. We rented golf carts, and a regular said we were going to fast (which the golf carts didnt go over 10 mph) so we got them taken away. And while I was walking to the restroom talking to my friends about the situation with the golf cart, the customer who complained started screaming at me calling me names, and the owners did absolutely nothing.
We stayed at Trout Run for 2 weeks in August 2017. The park has large spaces and is fairly level, with paved roads and speed bumps to keep traffic moving safely for kids and bikers. The owners are very nice and attentive, taking time to make sure that we got a satellite friendly spot that we could pull into with our dolly and toad. The camp is a project under construction, with a new salt water pool and work being done on the roads and utilities. The camp has a driving range, laundry, a large pavilion, and playground areas. There is a nice camp store with Perrys ice cream. Most sites have some trees and concrete patios with picnic tables. The camp was a former trailer park, and some of the utilities are on the wrong side and/or located some distance away from some sites. They are all workable, though. The owners will work with you to make sure you have what you need, including providing additional lengths of PVC for sewer connections. The owner is in the process of making changes to the park and is very attentive to feedback.Other than some units in the laundry being out of order, the park was very well maintained and is quiet. The city of Wellsville is nearby with restaurants and other attractions. It is a perfect place for full timers and is affordable and worth it. We will definitely be returning.
We attended the annual Regatta and had a riot! The owners of the campground are amazing. They made the whole weekend a ton of fun! We had the Regatta, an amazing BBQ, a band, A huge community bonfire and music at night. Not to mention the pool was cranked up to 95 degrees! We are going to already book for next year. Thanks, The Stover’s
Its a nice park for RVs..Kevin is getting it changed over from a mobile home park to an RV Resort! It takes time I Know! But the people here are so friendly and helpful. Its Really a nice park for RVs.. It has nothing to do but get better! Again its really a nice place for an RV..and the people that surrounds you are the greatest! And the sites are all huge! Most are all 50 ft.wide by 100 ft. deep!..plus its quiet at night! Thats Huge! Thanks Kevin and all your staff! Stevie Dick..lot 84!
Spacious campsites! The pool is warm and open into the evening. The wooded view around the campgrounds is just breathtaking. You have access to the Genessee River for tubing, kayaking, and wading. Owner can be forgetful at times tho... Be sure to get your site number in writing or anything else agreed upon in writing...
Sites close to level and are fairly large. My only objection is rules regarding dogs running loose or being outside with no supervision is not followed by all. Last time we were there, my small dog was on leash, sitting in front of me when a large dog from next site over broke his tether and attacked him. Fortunately, a friend scared the dog off but not before my dog was injured and required a trip to the vets and a few stitches on his chest. Owner of the dog, apologised and left with the dog. When the park owner came by I told him that it wasnt that dog that I was worried about but 2 large dogs across the road who were left tied outside all day while the people left the campground. I had watched the dogs lunge at people walking by them numerous times and I was afraid to walk that way with or without my own dog. He was very indignant and said that the people were regular customers of his and he had never had any one else complain. When we left 2 days later, I noticed that I was charged full price even though I had reserved the site using my Good Sam membership. The next time we called about a reservation, the owner never called back. We found another campground with sites just as nice, and who accepted the Good Sam discount.
Needs work. Its a nice level campground with blacktop roads and lots of grass. Its an old mobile home park that is now camping. My experience, hard to find my spot because they are not numbered. Had to park on 2 cement tracks just wide enough for tires. Couldnt use leveling jacks because of it. Electrical connection box was SCARY with wires exposed. Sewer connection was plugged. Dump stations are usually always on the drivers side when leaving the park. This one is on drivers side when coming into the park so you have to drive around to get it on drivers side. And there is no water faucet to hook a hose to so you can rinse the tank.
Its right off the highway so not very woodsy. We had a spot at the back of the park which was nice, but also on the opposite of the one bathroom. Theres another bathouse in the works but porta potties in the meantime would be nice. Clean park. Nice pool. Friendly staff. Activities every weekend.
Great customer service. Last minute booking on Lodge 2. Futon needs to be cleaned! Shower is very outdated. Kitchen had access door to hot water heater that house for all three lodge so lots of noise even when we were not using water. Walls thin, could hear lodge three which they were up well before 6am everyday. Pool was great, but pool lights were not turned on so even though pool open til 10pm it was pitch black. Wood sold had been left out in rain, so .50 cents a piece only drained my pocket and caused lots of smoke. I would come back but not stay in lodge, rather stay in our tent.
Was put in the new section, which because of the lack of spring weather made the area not ready for the holiday weekend. We made the best of it, had fun. In 3 to 5 years it will be really nice. If you want to come make sure to request the original campground area in the near future
As its currently 86 degrees and sunny I have to say this campsite is as good as they get. Very relaxed environment and very well maintained, couldnt be any happier with my stay. Bonus, located only a few minutes from downtown wellsville time to grab some famous texas hot.
We enjoyed Trout Run. We stayed at the end of the season and nearly had the place to ourselves. We had trouble with our RV, and the owner really went over the top in getting us on the road again. He lent tools and his time/effort at no cost.Trout Run is being converted from a mobile home park to a campground. It needs some work, but the owner is making a lot of positive changes. We will return.
Quite, clean campground nestled in the hills of New Yorks Southern Tier region. The nearest town is Wellsville, which has a couple of nice resturants and a couple of grocery stores. The campground was formerly a mobile home park which the owner has been renovating the past couple of years. The campground has access to the Genesee River, but there are no riverside sites. The sites are spacious with full hook ups. There is room for big rigs and space between sites for slide outs. Most sites have partial shade and a small concete pad. You may need to park your rig in on the grass or on gravel in order to reach the connections to the utilities which are located at the farthest end of the back-in sites. The owner/staff will bend over backwards to find you a site to meet your needs. They will also provide lengths of PVC pipe to connect your sewer hose to their sewer port, if needed. The campground just installed a saltwater pool this year. The pool has clear water and is well maintained. The pool is not currently heated, but feels great on a hot day. There are also a couple of playground areas and basketball goal. Family activities are often planned on weekends during the summer. They also have kayaks for rent and inner rubes avaliable for fun on the river! The bathrooms and showers are clean and maintained. There is a small C-store which has propane and basic necessities. The customer service is friendly and attentive to your requests. They want you to be comfortable and enjoy your stay. The current rate for a full hook-up site is $30 per night and I believe they also offer a discount for month-long stays. They also are members of Good Sams and Passport America. Trout Run also has a small log cabin and building with small efficiencies available. The reason I didnt give this establishment a 5 star is the location of the sewer connection, which is sometimes 30 to 40 feet from the concete pad, and the trees need to be trimmed on most sites. But, you cant beat the price of site, which is very reasonable especially if you are a Passport America or Good Sams member. We have stayed here twice while visiting family and friends in the area and we will stay here again when we are in this area.
We were in town to help with my sick grandma for several weeks in August. There wasnt enough room at her house so we brought our camper and camped at Trout Run. The owner, kevin, was fantastic and very accommodating. When we told he while we were in the are and that wed be going back and forth from Syracuse, he let us leave our camper at the park and only charged us for the nights we stayed in it. Campgrounds has a great salt-water swimming pool and bounce houses on the weekends for the kids. Thanks again kevin for your help and kindness during this difficult time.
Awesome place to set up RV ... Kevin the owner is great person does anything to help ... Grounds are very well kept and plenty of weekend activities for adults and children !! Close to the river so a very good dog walking activity!!! Especially with my new puppy , she gets to run off all that energy

2022-06-19This was our first season with our camper as well as our first stay with it and I’m so glad we chose Trout Run! Everyone at the front desk/store was friendly and helpful! Check-in/check-out was super easy. Our site was quiet with friendly neighbors and close to the horse pasture. We really enjoyed the heated pool even though it wasn’t the best weather out. Our dogs enjoyed the dog park where they could run after being tied up most of the day. Unfortunately there weren’t any golf carts available to rent but that would’ve made it easier to explore the campground- I will remember this next time when booking as you can reserve one when you book your site online. They will also deliver firewood to your campsite which was convenient. There are a few stores in the little town (Dollar General, grocery stores) but they do have things you may need at the store. We went a few times for ice cream! We had a really great time and are looking forward to coming back again soon!

2022-06-03This place was amazing! Heated saltwater pool open 10 to 10, Obviously the best part! I seen many comments saying the staff seemed confused, it was quite obvious they are younger people doing this as a first job.Wasnt too bad, just need patience. Everyone starts somewhere. They were super friendly and tried to be helpful none the less. They were super great on keeping their grounds maintained and clean as well. Bathrooms and shower houses were very clean! Definitely recommend!

2022-04-22My family came here for the first weekend the campground opened for the first time and stayed in the brand new beautiful renovated lodge. We all loved the 90°saltwater outdoor pool. The mining was a very cool activity for kids into fossils/gemstones/etc. The splashpad and playground were not finished yet but we will definitely be back to enjoy those amenities too! All the lodges are super cute and reasonable. Pets are allowed! Kids had a blast riding their scooters/bikes around! There is a trail out back to go hiking and explore the river and pond. Staff was super friendly and going above expectations to make sure we enjoyed our stay. My family had a wonderful stay!

2022-07-01A total rip off if you get ice cream and food. Portions are very small and a medium ice cream is about 2 inches off the top of cone .the old man turned on the ice cream machine and waited about 10 mins. He made the ice cream so small and cone almost 4 dollars .Terrible way to run a business. I visited on June 25th and 26th

2021-08-07By far the best campsite I have ever been to the staff is amazing. Definitely bring your dog they have so many activities for you and your animals to enjoy. The golf carts are absolutely amazing. I feel like the staff really cares about their Guests, I stayed at a KOA a few weeks ago and had a horrible experience these guys have made my decision of purchasing a camper very enjoyable. have a another reservation next week Can’t wait! I would give six stars if I could.
