Worse place to rent a u-haul the agent says one thing and put another on paper I have rented uhaul from different locations like park slope, Atlantic location and another on Washington ...never yet my charges racked up the way it did on this location they charge me for CWD and They charge me for two days and I only had the uhaul for one day I brought it back way before the time and still got charge for two days .....never again its always best to just rent at the actual uhaul places instead of going to these uhaul neighborhood dealers to avoid problems like these
1. Super long line is a crowded gas station practically gave me an anxiety attack. People who wanted to buy a candy bar or pay for gas had to wait 15-20 min behind me while dude took his sweet time filling out redundant paperwork I already submitted over the phone when I booked it.2. Was there twice. First time they were rude and abrasive second time the a different guy was nice and helpful. Depends on when you go and who you get I guess.3. Trailer was missing electrical light extension cable. Had to wait in line all over again to ask him to hunt one down. I had no clue what I was doing and was given no help.4. No instructions were provided at all. Didn’t walk me out back, didn’t show me how to do a single thing the first time. Second time the guy came outside and helped.5. Was quoted $30 or less for the 2” ball mount from 1800-Go-Uhaul and was charged $54 for it in the gas station!! (bait and switch scam)6. Nowhere to drop it off when I returned it, the rear of gas station was full.How Uhaul has become a couple of lazy gas station clerks that squeeze in a quick sale between a flood of people who need gas is absurd. They couldn’t give me customer service even if they wanted to, they are slammed with running a bustling Brooklyn gas station! This is NO WAY TO DO REAL BUSINESS!!!! Wont use U-Haul again thats for sure
In an emergency need of a Van for an event this place was right on time. The guy at the counter was very helpful. I will definitely use them again before going anywhere else. They came through in the clutch.
Worst rental experience I’ve had.U-Haul’s self-service app has issues, in-store representatives couldn’t help, and by the time I got through to U-Haul’s customer service reps, another customer was able to rent and drive away with my reserved vehicle.
Don’t rent a U-Haul from here. They accused me of making two scratches on my van that were there prior to me renting. Claimed to have photos of what it looked like before I rented but when I asked to see he couldn’t find them and avoided bringing it up again. Also tried to claim I was late when I spent the last 10 minutes outside talking to them about the scratches. Regardless of this, he proceeded to charge my card the max deductible for insurance ($150) on top of the cost of renting for the day and continued to argue with me until I decided to leave the store and call U-Haul. U-Haul refunded me by Tues (rented on Sat) but I will never rent from this location again...
I hope this is a corporate run business as soon as I figure out how to tell the corporate managers or the franchise partners I will be explaining how I was treated Horrible In this establishment I was told After asking for help That the system wasnt taking any more customers But I was standing there for 15 minutes Prior to the closing window Then the store clerk got aggravated and told me to get out His store such great 👍 🙄 customer service skills NEVER SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE
If you have a uhaul reserved dropoff at this location do not listen to the manager or any employee at this location. They will try to get you to drop it off somewhere else because they cant manage their own business. Dont let them waste youre time.
After I returned all of my equipment and received a signed contract from the U-Haul agent stating that I returned all of the equipment, the U-Haul agent called me to accuse me of not returning a dolly and threatened to charge me for it. I contacted U-Haul and they assured me that I would not be charged and I have not been. At least U-Haul corporate customer service is decent.Im not sure if this location is 1) very disorganized and cant tell what was returned or what wasnt or 2) tries to scam female customers into paying for things they already returned. Either way, I would not recommend this place.
I wish I could give no stars!!! This place was horrible... reserved truck and when we arrived to pick it up, they rented to someone else!!!
I wish I could give 0 stars, they charged my friend $150 for a dent he did not cause. When he brought evidence photos they called the police!

2022-06-16He over charged the rental, I was having personal issues and I was talking on the phone, he was listening my conversation and laughing. He doesn’t mind his own business. He is not profissional at all. Avoid this place. I had to call the corporate to fix my charge.

2021-08-18Location was closed when truck was returned but the next day they charged my card over $200 because they said there wasnt no gas and the truck has a seed shell in it. Good thing the gas station has cameras and my card show the purchase.... Overall they will scam you make sure to take pictures or videos or have some proof that you filled up the tank that isnt once you receive it

2021-08-17If I could give this UHaul zero stars, I would. Please choose another UHaul vendor. They do not inspect the vehicle at dropoff and become combative when you mention an error to them.I returned a UHaul rental Monday afternoon and did not receive an email confirmation until the following morning, which is totally unacceptable.The staff is incredibly unprofessional and do not offer paper contracts. I’m usually okay with paperless, but it needs to be timely and accurate and not when they feel like generating a contract. They also tell you one thing and do another, and when you attempt to notify the corporate office, the situation is still not rectified.Essentially, this place is a laughing joke. Don’t waste your time or money.Renting a UHaul from them was an unnecessary headache. Renter beware and stay clear of them.

2021-08-16I rented a uhual and an auto transport to tow my vehicle from NYC to Buffalo. On the way to pick up my vehicle, the auto bed disconnected from uhual on the highway almost causing a mass pile up and endangering multiple lives.Sparks were flying from the auto bed and I had to pull over off the highway and physically mount the auto bed myself to the uhual. I called emergency roadside assistance for help and they said they would arrive in two hours. They ended up arriving in 5 hours. I missed a whole day of work and had to deal with the stress and aggravation of having to handle this situation.When I attempted to seek compensation for my time and a refund, the manager from the Brooklyn branch Candace began yelling at me on the phone saying it wasnt her fault and I cant receive any compensation for this.This by far has been the most terrifying and unprofessional experience Ive ever endured and would like to be refunded.

2021-03-02Very UNprofessional scammers. They over charged me with micellaneous & rediculous fees and caught an attitude when i requested a manager which according to them their manager is very busy with no phone so they were not able to contact him thus neither couldn i. They also said the manager would be there in the morning but didnt know the time. This place wont ever get my money again. I do NOT recommend going to Mr. Singh or any affiliate U haul service thats managed under 1610 Bushwick ave, Bklyn Uhaul. They offerred no explanation for the added fees except that it was automatically generated at no fault of their own. Im so upset. I will be reporting them!

2020-09-19I hate giving bad reviews but one horrible customer service agent ruined it for all of them. I went in person to make a reservation for a van and was turned away to make reservation online. I went home and made reservation. Returned to the physical location to find out the vehicle I reserved was not there 😡. The man behind the counter was very rude and combative and almost sparked a physical altercation. I was then given a substitute which was way larger than what I originally needed. If not for the actual convenience of the pickup / drop off location i would have went somewhere else. I will never use them again. I only put one star because that is exactly the lowest i can rate them. It should be empty space where the stars would be. I definitely give them 5 angry faces because of my experience.🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

2017-08-08I had zero problems getting my rental or returning it after hours. Van was clean, ran great, and had good tires. Pricing was explained fully and I was charged exactly what I expected. Good experience. Will return the next time I need a larger vehicle than my own for a day.
