Truedan is one of our favorite brown sugar bubble milk tea brands originated from Taiwan. We were so excited that they opened here in NYC.We planned to visit few months ago but not until last week due to COVID-19. The decor is simple, cozy and artsy especially their logo, Truedan, which in Chinese is designed with calligraphy. Their staff was friendly and welcoming.The options on the menu were limited compared to Taiwan. We had their signature brown sugar bubble milk with reasonable price $5.75.It was decent and creamy but not as great as the one we had in Taiwan which was kind of disappointing. We will still recommend friends to try it.
The best bubble tea Ive ever had! Walked in off the street knowing nothing about this place and couldnt have been happier with my brown sugar pearl milk tea. Will be back!

Truly delicious drink! I couldn’t stop drinking! People were staring and asking where I got it from. Would recommend 10/10. Get the Thai milk tea! It’s the best, in my opinion.
This place is so underrated it’s so worth the 50 minute train ride!! I got the milk and cream boba and it’s A1 . You can choose the milk and ice percentage which is good because some boba places be violating with they sugar like alright diabetes. But yes this place fire and worth every penny!

My hot fresh taro and milk with boba was outstanding. Partner’s brown sugar milk tea with boba, taro, and coco jelly was a lot but he added a lot so one would expect it to be so.
Extremely fast service, cant recommend the Thai tea latte and its variants enough. They also have a rewards card that can be redeemed for extra toppings or drinks.
The passionfruit green tea with coco jelly is really good. I got it at 30% sugar and it was a nice sugar level. There was no line and the lady made our drink very fast. The cup size was really big and worth the price.
What lacks in tea they made up in the soft, smooth boba. However it’s not enough to complete the package for a $6 drink. I enjoyed my experience but unlikely to try again unless all the tea shop in the world are suddenly closed and someone gave me 6 bucks.

This is one of my favorite bubble tea shop in Taiwan.Im so glad they finally open in NY!I was pass by and saw they open so of course I went in and get some. Due to covid19 not many customer there.I got capped brown sugar milk pearl and pudding brown sugar pearl. The pearl is very soft and chewy. But I didnt taste too much brown sugar flavor. So I more like Im drinking pearl with milk. And the pudding one taste about the same. Pudding is on softer side. I wish they can have stronger brown sugar taste on their drink

Tried the Ceylon green tea but didnt really enjoy the flavor. They also only sell large sizes for most drinks

Had their Lemon Jasmine Green tea with 30% sugar and ice. Really refreshing and it was not sweet at all. You can definitely taste the lemon (as the pulp is on the bottom) and the jasmine tea.With many of the bubble tea spots area, I would recommend this area for their fruit teas. Also, their aesthetic interior is very modern and clean.

2022-03-06A nice little bubble tea shop. There is standing room at a counter only. The service is friendly. The bubble tea is well made and tasted delicious. The price is fair. The shop was clean and tidy.

2022-05-18This place is probably one of the best boba places in NYC, I got their brown sugar capped milk tea and it was so creamy and perfect! The boba was chewy but not too soft or hard. Please please please open up some locations in Brooklyn! It’s amazing. The staff were nice too. 100% recommend

2021-09-20This place is really really bad... Ordered the Thai Brown Sugar Pearl Milk Tea drink and it is by far the worst Thai tea and Brown Sugar drink Ive had. Weirdly enough, it doesnt taste like either Thai tea or Brown Sugar Pearl. Its just sickly sweet! Their bubbles were pretty good though, but not enough to cover how dismal the drink is itself.

2021-09-23For any non-boba aficionados - you can usually tell if a boba place is good by seeing if your boba is still warm/hot even while it’s been in your cold drink (especially if the place is about to close like our situation)…this place had that. The lemon chrysantheum tea was a great level of sweetness despite me not adjusting it, and I always appreciate places that let you adjust your ice level (I always get the lowest because more value lol). Worth a visit.

2022-06-13Delicious bubble tea, their tapioca tasted mildly sweet due to the brown sugar and was soft & chewy. Extremely fast service. No seating however, only countertops to stand at.

2022-08-03Great milk tea. Not too many options but for what they have, the flavor is there. They do have dairy alternatives and surprisingly doesnt upcharge (unlike everybody else). The only real downfall is how long it took for them to make it, but it seems like they make every drink from scratch (both premade).

2020-12-29One of my favorite bubble tea shops from Taiwan, not as good here but good to try. The brown sugar bubble milk is a bit too sweet since you can’t change the sugar level.

2020-11-09One of my favorite bubble tea places in Taiwan and I cant believe they have one in NYC too!!! Def get their Thai tea with brown sugar boba you wont not be disappointed, however they are pre-sweetened tea so 50% sugar is suggested. 10/10 would recommend💕

2020-09-29I ordered a brown sugar thai tea and hot jasmine tea. I was surprise they have jasmine tea because not many bubble tea stores carry it (usually just green tea). The Thai tea drink was not bad, but the bubbles were way too sweet for me. Still interesting as I never had a brown sugar combo with thai tea. Yayas did not have hot drinks during late September; hence, I went next door. Service was good. The lady in the front was nice. Ill definitely come back especially for the jasmine tea.
