Placed an Internet order for a Denon turntable with their upgraded needle package. The needle was installed by them into the head. Price was great for the package, arrived promptly and with secure packaging and super happy with the new turntable - sounds great and Im so pleased I upgraded the needle. Funny thing was - I live right near their store and didnt make the connection until my girlfriend pointed it out. Would use them again for all the right reasons.

Took a trip out to NY and Turntable’s store front was an absolute must on my todo list. I picked up a few opened albums and upon ringing up, was offered new sealed options and the associate was even more picky than I when it came to a crinkled corner on one, she offered to grab a new one. I shopped around and got helped with some turntable accessories also, being told they would work with my model. I flew back to Salt Lake and turns out, the parts didn’t work.After a short phone conversation and my info being taken I was emailed almost immediately with exchange information.I was treated very fairly and quickly, and couldn’t be happier with the outcome!Turntable Lab, you are the reason vinyl is coming back in a big way.Your selection is outstanding and customer service is the best around.Keep being amazing.
Outstanding! Went in to check the place out, ended up purchasing two albums. Nice selection of Hip Hop, R&B and Reggae. Not to mention turntables and such. I will definitely visit when Im in the mood to add to my vinyl collection.
Bought a great set up from TTL. Unfortunately 2-3 months in the motor to the record player broke. It’s been over two weeks of emailing without anyone calling or resolving the issue after spending a decent amount of money on the turntable. Disappointed in their customer service to say the least. Would not recommend dealing with them.

Good selection of vinyls as well as all the equipment you might need to enjoy it. I was there on a weekend and the place was crowded which made me very happy. Always glad seeing small business prosper.
I ordered a pre-amp from this company online and the power cord stopped working within 3 weeks. When I reached out to them they said it wasn’t their issue and that I should buy another power source able from another vendor and then did some research online about this company and it looks like I’m the not first person who has had weird interactions with them. Some people even claim that it is a fraudulent online retailer. Don’t know what’s up, but totally whack when you drop $100 on equipment that doesn’t even work and they won’t be offer you even store credit. DO NOT SUPPORT THESE PEOPLE.
Always on point. New store is gorgeous. Parking is not too bad now. Selection is always one of the best in Manhattan as far as hip hop goes. Cant honestly speak about other genres since I havent bought any other at that store. Ive bought MANY classics off the shelf that I have t seen anywhere else except online. Staff is super friendly. They try and help best they can. I give the place 5 stars. I def dig all around Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens and Long Island. This is in my top 5.
The experience here was dope, nice cool selection of vinyl and gear for the DJ or audiophile/ turntable user. Customer service was great, staff seemed to be very knowledgeable and helpful. I’d definitely shop here again.
My main reason for visiting was to browse and purchase records, therefore, I am cannot comment on turntables and other peripherals though the range looked extensive and well presented.As for the records, genres clearly marked and marked at affordable prices (averaging between $17.95 to $19.95). The bargain/second hand section although small is definitely worth taking a look at. I was given a discount due to the volume of records I was purchasing (expect the ones from the bargain section but cannot complain given the two I was purchasing were $10 each ). You can also listen to records before purchasing though for sealed items you will need to ask the staff first.Staff appear friendly though I would have liked some more interaction which would have made the shopping experience more wholesome. I recall one member of staff who was checking records back and forth on the shop floor and could not help but feel I was getting in his way!Minor quibble aside, I would certainly visit again.
Nice selection, pretty cool staff,1/3 was a bit indifferent...🤷♂️I was shopping for my sixteen-year-old so there was a ton of stuff that I would have been able to rock out to. Rock classic, HiP HoP and ton of 45s, but as far as her musical tastes which is indie pop, the choices were limited. Lots of artist merch and high end equipment.
I havent made it to their store, but ordering a new turntable through their online store worked out great! Fast shipping through FedEx and Im delightfully spinning as I type this review. The only improvement I would suggest is that they give their online consumers a heads up email when something has shipped.
The selection can be a bit pricey, but nevertheless its a cool spot to check out. Plus some of the staff members are really good DJs (check out their Groundwire DJ sets, theyre worth it!).Also, the in-store live stream DJ sets by numerous talents are great as well.
Ordered a limited vinyl, they sent the wrong product and by the time I received the wrong one in the mail they were sold out of the one I wanted. According to customer service this happened on a pretty large scale to their customers. Just sloppy af.
Best place for your turntable set up!Great blogs and products offered online & in-store and the guys at the brick and mortar are so helpful. We have a Pro Ject Debut Carbon that we want to convert to a minimalist set up from the old school set up it has now and they have been so helpful.They show you what the options and work-arounds are, let you listen to the equipment and are so super nice during it all.Oh, they also have a really good selection of vinyl to go with your shiny new red turntable with acrylic plate!
Very knowledgeable, polite and helpful staff. the products offered are good quality, some of them a bit pricey and yet if youre ready to spend few extra bucks, thats the place to go. their records collection is pretty good too!
Great experience at Turntable Lab, would strongly recommend. Super patient, took time to explain a lot of the basics as we got out first record player and speakers, and came in well under the budget I gave her. Will certainly be back.
Just been to NYC and wished I knew TTableLab were on the doorstep as wouldve loved to see the store. Ordered Gorillaz Demon Days LP from the UK (always wanted this on vinyl!) and it arrived in super speedy time. Had contact with these guys a couple of times and seen exemplary service each time. Will have no hesitation ordering from you again in future - superb record shop, hope you continue to thrive on such excellent service 🤩
Great selection mostly new vinyl. Not a HUGE selection, but decent. The store itself, the vibe and the staff, make up for it. Youre always bound to find something cool here.
A vinyl junkies heaven. Amazing and varied selection of new, used, classic and rare vinyl across genres. I will have to come back and check out the gear here too. Dont let the name fool you - turntables and so much more.
Everybody is so helpful and friendly here. We stopped in to get our first real turntable after suffering with a Crosley for years. They helped us find one within our price range that had a built-in pre-amp and fit our decor at home. I make sure to come back here for my records to continue supporting the business.

Not shopping here again. I bought a pair of Audioengine A2+ speakers at Turntable Lab 5 years ago; haven’t used my turntable much; went to use it again this week & the speakers would not work. Went to Turnable Lab - new location! - to ask for help, & they had no help to offer. Would not look at the speakers, which I had brought along. No interest in helping out their customer. “Call Audioengine,” they said, but did not have even a phone # to offer. Terrible service, can’t back the products they sell, want only to make the sale, and after that, you’re on your own. Terrible customer relations.
This place....great for turntables, DJ accessories, vinyl, listening stations. Service is great and location is good for social too! Every time I go I dream of becoming a world star DJcustomer for 10yrs.
Been a fan of the online store for years. First time seeing the physical storefront in person. And I got to say that it was all I had envisioned and more. Shopping online you get recommendations from the staff, and same goes for here. Except you can ask the questions. The staff was super helpful and so nice. Will definitely make this my go to record spot every time Im in town!
A steady standby and a record haleaven for those obsessed. These guys and girls have brought their once tiny shop in the depths of the east village over to E 10th street where limited edition runs, new releases and record players mash up for one of the best shops I’ve ever been to! Service is amazing and hey have their own line of clothing and bags to boot! So happy their in the hood - the new revamped space is minimalist and modern and also carries Dj equipment and stereo frippery!

Just purchased an Ortofon 2m Cartridge mounted on an SH-4 headshell. I made a mistake in purchasing the headshell. I have a tangential tonearm on my Denon DP300F. Having never mounted a cartridge I reached out for help. I received none. When I got home to do the job, I reached out again and nothing but an auto reply email. The product arrived in perfect condition. However, you are on your own if you have any questions. Customer service is non-existent.
Scammed on a special edition green wax Lp copy at inflated price... received standard black wax edition. Refused to return or refund. TTL, this was the last time I shop here.
Pretentious as hell. Just the way I like it. Very expensive in the technology department, but thats just because they carry high-end stuff. The record selection includes a lot of fringe stuff. If youre looking for your standard old rock used records this isnt the place to go, but good prices and selection in general for new items.
Ordered online 2 weeks ago, order still unfulfilled. Customer care staff member over email is quite useless, does not answer questions, copy/pastes links from FAQs, the information which does not work in their favor. Zero support, shopping user experience is the worst yet. Not even sure if its worth the time to file an official complaint
Very disappointed with my second interaction (the first was to buy a phono amp online) - I called looking for advice from the knowledgeable staff. I told the phone answerer guy I want help with a new table and would pay for their consultation and solution. I made it clear nothing was broken, I just am not satisfied with the sound. The phone guys response was to tell me he had a lot of cartridges. I can show you the specs and you can buy one. Not helpful in the least. Very disappointing, in fact, from a store calling itself the Turntable Lab. I didnt bother mentioning I bought the phono preamp from them, as he clearly has no interest in helping me get better sound from my table. Im only bothering to post this in the hope that he is the anomaly and someone at Turntable Lab who believes in customer service will see this and reply so I can get the help and sound Im looking for. Otherwise, I cant see a reason not to return the phono preamp and go to another store. Fortunately, there is a selection of conventional stereo shops and other turntable focused shops who might actually want my money.
Great shop if you want it here and now. Easy to find records, good selection and a nice choice of tee-shirts. Staff could be a bit more friendly tho.
Staff was about as joyful and pleasant to share a room with as a socially retarded high school student and about as knowledgable as a pretentious teenage girl that read an Ayn Rand book for the first time in her life. I would not visit the turntable lab for practical advice on anything related to vinyl if it were the last record store in the city. I suggest you pick out your records and leave, the people here are complete snobs.

Decent but medium-sized selection, fun record store day events, and a great place to view turntables before purchasing. Ive spent way, way too much money here, and proudly wore my TTL black tote throughout the city.So it was jarring when the staff lifted my TTL RSD tote with my laptop off my shoulder, without asking, and giving me a tag to pick it up later. I looked around, and every other shopper still had their tote or backpack. Id been singled out! Nothing leaves a worse taste in my mouth than being targeted for suspected theft, especially after having been a repeat customer. I go to a record store as much for recommendations and good vibes than anything else, and TTL is no longer that place.
Horrendously slow shipping. Like weeks....it’s 2019 shipping should take 4 days max anywhere in the country. Period. I could have ordered my item from amazon 10 times over and it still hasn’t shipped from TTL. Very disappointed.

Grimy hustlers told me they’d fix my pop-up light in their shop when I called. I brought my 1200 all the way in from Long Island, only to get told they don’t do any service like that there. They did nothing to make up for misleading me to come all the way there.Unprofessional shop. Don’t give them your money.
I bought a record player/speakers and had issues with the sound. I went back to the shop to get some guidance and when I continued to struggle, Ivan offered to stop by my place and take a look. Within 5 minutes, he fixed everything. I couldnt be happier with the result.
The Manhattan store is closed. Please consider before trekking into the city, because I saw nothing about this while planning my trip. Disappointed.
This is where you go for high end or designer record gear. The staff is world class in knowledge and the products are top of the line. Less of a fun place to dig for old records and more like a pristine museum of turntablism

It took more than 8 months to deliver a pre-sale extending the date every two months, customer service is terrible, do not answer emails and it is very difficult to communicate with them.

I went to buy some accessories for vinyls: barbed cleaner, antistatic vinyl brush and I found it. Its not that they have a lot of variety but its fine. The turntables they sell are good basic. The most sophisticated is Clearaudios basic model, which is very good. For those looking to buy something decent without spending a lot, it seems good. The variety of vinyl is reduced, they are all new but they have interesting things that are worth reviewing.
I traveled 10,000 km. To buy capsules and the generous catalog offered online. I had NOTHING. In addition, the employee seemed more interested in seeing the fret to the girl who was checking the punts than in giving me a ball. A disappointment of the size of the route from Buenos Aires to NYC !!!

2019-05-29I tend to come for their selection of deep house music. I truly love this place they possess a knowledgeable staff. They have the gambit of genres. They have a good selection of vinyl whether rarities, reprints or new. They approach The late producer Jdilla. That within itself is respect. The pics are from a 2016 visit, Ive been back sooner tho. I just purchased better turntables recently. I wish I had them than. I wouldve got that stark reality vinyl. A great place. I think Ill go 2morro

2020-01-16This place is your discogs want list manifested, such a nicely curated collection. and they have tons of vinyl accoutrements, speakers / players / headphones, & cool little audio synths and gadgets too. not super crate diggy as its mostly new releases, but still 100% worth a stop if not for music then to beef up your setup

2020-05-07Excellent company. I have placed a number of orders with Turntable Lab and have had nothing but the best experience. I have had to contact customer service a couple of times due to my own error and they were so very helpful. They made sure my order was correct. Records are well packed and arrive quickly. They have an excellent selection and Im always happy with my orders.

They respond very quickly to emails, and the rep that helped me out (Aidan I believe) was really kind and helped resolve all my questions. 2020-09-13I couldn’t be happier with my purchase. Shoutout to Sam for easing my indecisive mind. While the turntable and speakers are great, it’s their zine they throw in, Quarantine Times, that is the cherry on top of my new sonic sundae. It’s a lot of fun and gives the personal touch that’s so needed and missed these days. And it comes in an excellent folder to keepall your instructions and receipts in one place. Nice touch. Get your gear from TTL. You won’t be disappointed.

2020-02-08Im so happy with Turntable Lab right now. I ordered 2 things from them recently, and one was a record, which was perfect. The other was a shirt as a gift for someone. I got the wrong size in the mail, so I decided to return it. The process was really easy as long as you look up how they want you to do it. I returned it with my own label so I wouldnt be charged a fee for using their shipping label. But I was still charged the little fee, which means my refund is reduced by a bit. I sent a message asking about this and explained what had happened. It took a couple of days, but I have just gotten a response and the rest of my refund. Ashley Parrill, the head of customer service helped me out with that. Thank you! I will definitely order from this store again. :) Great customer service goes a long way, and you have it!
