Dear uhaul, I seldom make any reviews but. The customer service here is horrible. seems like its just one person named REBECCA and she is labeled as the owner?I felt really bad for her . I had to wait for her facing in the computer for so long with a bad face.. no remorse on any customer coversation.. very rude that me and my wife had to just leave and tell her have a great day and we will bring our business somewhere alse.. she replied “you too” and that thats the only time when she opened her mouth. Meaning shes ok for us leaving without giving giving her business..i would like to ask her if she lost a million dollars or she had a bad day but i figured it wouldnt be necessary.I just read the reviews and realized thats its her personality everyday..I will try to contact the main UHAUL main office about this because this is my neighborhood and .. if she doesnt care about her business , she can bring her business somewhere else.. she gives bad reputation to a very good neighborhood.. im pretty sure there is a standard required to maintain a franchize.. and definitely not to maintain a bad customer service..
There should be an option of zero stars. Made a reservation weeks ago to move my household, when I walk into the place to get my truck Im told they dont have any trucks! What exactly is a reservation for. There was another person there with the same problem so mine wasnt an isolated incident. Apparently U-Haul just takes reservations with no intention of filling them. So they completely fail at literally the only thing they are supposed to do. Completely and totally useless.
Customer service was mostly fine. Truck we rented was old. Very loud, no cruise control, heavy vibrations through had pedal. Only issue is they didnt credit me for unused blankets like they said they would. Also for $1.99 per mile you really shouldnt have to fill up the gas tank before returning.
Never had trouble with uhaul not even once. The uhaul on 251-37 Jericho turnpike was very unprofessional, attitude from the employee working on 1/17/2021 was completely unnecessary there was no need to be disrespectful for no reason ;I’m not sure if she was having a bad day but I won’t be using uhual any longer. Cubesmart was able to take care of my storage needs unfortunately, Nonetheless uhual is a great company and I hope the customer service is worked on.
I’m never one to write a review or even complain about customer service however I had the worst experience at this uhaul. My friends and I were there a week earlier buying boxes for the imminent move. While there, we inquired about renting a van and the employee insisted a reservation was not necessary. We pushed to make the reservation to be on the safe side but she insisted we could come back a week later and it would be fine. Well wouldn’t you know, I walked in a week later for the same woman to inform me (while huffing and puffing and eye rolling aka just too much attitude for me to handle) they have nothing to offer me if I didn’t have a reservation. I tried to tell her that I followed her advice and didn’t make one. Fast forward, she acts like she’s doing me favor and says yeah, I’ll give you a van even though I’m probably not supposed to. We’re going through the process of the rental and I ask for the utility dolly 3 times-she still forgets to add it to the bill. I remind her again and she adds it and my total changes-fine. She told us the van was in Row A, van was in Row C. We pull off and head home to pack up the van only to find the dolly not in the truck. Had to turn around and go back in to ask for the dolly only to get another bout of attitude and the manger telling us they might not have one. I was totally unhappy with my experience at this particular uhaul- the staff was rude, not attentive and just had no idea what was going on but lesson learned-I will be making reservation in the future just in case.
It was great until I returned with the truck and was sitting in it waiting for my sis to come pick me up becauae my mask was in my car. The general manager rudely announced that I was freaking her out looking at her. In facr, I was texting on my phone and she definitely DID NOT warrant my attention. She could use additional customer service training.
U haul is the most convenient way for moving. But I didnt get a positive impression from the people at this store during my last visit. I went to rent a truck after work and needed to pickup something from a store asap. But the lady was super busy talking to her friend and made us wait.
Absolutely disrespectful customer service. My father frequently rents trucks with Uhaul and this is the first time he’s experienced this kind of treatment. He came in on a Thursday and a woman at the counter not wearing a mask rudely told him he needs to get out and get his mask and come back, after he questioned her about why she wasn’t wearing a mask she got even more rude. He stepped out to get his mask from the car and came back to the store with his maskon at this point. The woman at the counter still not wearing her mask standing there, then the manager (not wearing a mask) comes out and starts giving him a hard time about where he had his car parked and told him he needs to get back out and repark it.. meanwhile this wasn’t the first time he’d parked the car there but this is the first time they are telling him he can’t park there meaning they only follow rules depending on their mood. The manager tells him he’s not getting a car and that’s that. My father goes back out reparks his car, comes back with his mask on takes a seat and at this point is being ignored for over 30 min until they decided to deal with him.This place needs to get it together and get your rules and regulations in order. Stop disrespecting your customers and learn how to communicate. This is business and we have no problem taking it elsewhere.
Although I reserved it for sat at 9 IN PERSON the store didn’t open until 10 delaying me. Once I was there at 10, it needed to be “cleaned” which the girl was dancing and messing around outside which took an extra hour. I just donated two hours to uhaul. A bunch of inept employees. This place is run like a joke.
Terrible customer service. The gentleman that was helping me was very nice but had a few questions. No big deal but the manager was very unprofessional and rude. Constantly sighing and rolling her eyes with a very poor attitude. Will definitely not be going back to this location.
Called Uhaul and was promised a 15 feet truck to pick up in 45 minutes. I paid and then got a call that the truck is not available. an hour later a collage point office called me that he has a truck ready. the problem is they are 15 miles further. Uhaul charge $2 a mile that will ad $60 to the deal. I asked him if I can get the milage that I paid for from Bellrose. He said no. They work like hustler. shame on them.
Used this location for a recent move. Lots of clean trucks available to rent. Returns are easy and hassle free. Store is well stocked, and customer service is outstanding. There are also indoor (some climate controlled) and outdoor storage units for rent. Note that to store your stuff in the rooftop/outdoor units, youll need back up a long, curving ramp (since there is nowhere to turn around at the top), and youll have to offload at the automated gate and roll your belongings to the storage unit. Just be warned that its not an easy, drive-up location, but its not as bad as it actually seems. Storage access is limited to 5am to 10pm unless you pay extra for 24-hour access.
They originally open at 7am but they told us to come at 6-6:30am to install trailer and we arrived there around 6:20 but the store was not opened. The manager came around 6:40 and went into the store and locked the door. He made us stand up outside for another 20min (He is the person who told us to come in at 6am). We knocked the door and scream that you told us to come in early. He answered with a gesture which was very rude. They lie and customer service extremely NO GOOD!!!!!!
The manager, Mari Edwards is VERY NASTY to customers. I am a business owner who took two of my employees to get a truck for their move...not only did she take the person behind us first after a lengthy wait refused us the rental (and left it open so we can be charged for no show)because too many ppl were speaking to her at the same time and she didnt like that i told her i will be filing a complaint because i was dissatisfied with her service. it was very upsetting because it was near closing time and we had to scramble to find another uhaul location...there is a 800 number to the corporate office that i called and opened a complaint to. Hope they take a look at the camera to see how this woman is treating paying customers. I am also filing a report to the BBB and consumer affairs...I have NEVER been treated so bad as a customer before in my life!
Called number listed under this listing to confirm they sell or fill propane. It seems the number is a general corporate number because she asked me for the location. Confirmed it was the same one and was advised they offer propane 2 or 3 different ways. Got there and after waiting a while for someone to show up in the empty storefront, found out they do not offer propane.
The lady that worked there on 09/23/2017 has an attitude problem. I have been renting here for years with no issue. This B;Tch needs to be fired or this place will go out of business. Went to rent a truck in the morning and we were looking at some of the boxes they sell. She snatch the box and says we sell by case. Ignoring that incident we wait in line, she then takes the customer that was behind us. Still kept cool, moved on. Next she calls us and immediately says if you want to rent anything you must first remove your car from our parking lot. I ask my brother to move it and I continued to proceed with the rental. Then she says what you moving? I told her were moving some boxes and 1 tire. She say you cant load a tire on the van, it will damage it and told me to leave. This is my last time going there. I have rented from here multiple times with great service. Never seen this b;tch before and never going back.
This U-Haul location is probably one of the best looking on the exterior that Ive come across. The staff is incredibly helpful and even though I showed up first thing in the morning they will all ready alert and had all the answers. I got my truck in no time and the extra boxes tape and shrink wrap needed. I was in and out in no time flat
HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE !!!! We rented a trailer 24 hour rental 1pm pick up 1pm drop off ... Got to the place due to short staffing I was only able to pull out of the store with the trailer by 2:00pm . Shortly after pulling off I recieved a phone call from a employee who was extremely rude asking me if I could return the trailer earlier than 1pm (even tho I only got the trailer at 2pm) because another family needed it . I explained that I rented th trailer for 24hrs and I pulled off at 20’ so I will be returning it at the time due to me 2pm . She became more hostile and said she was going to review the cameras to confirm my story and when I asked her name she hung up on me. I called the store requested to speak to a manager , his name was Cliff . I started telling him my situation and my complaint , he put me on hold to pull my reservation as he comes back on the phone he asks me “so how early can you return the trailer?” REALLY!!??? I explained I had a 24 hour rental he told me there is no such thing as a 24 hour rental . (A lie) .. Then I said if i return the trailer early will I get rembursed anything he said no. I was so fustrated I said I was coming back to the store to return the trailer and I want my money back and forget the rental . He told me they don’t do refunds... I had to call Uhaul Corporate to file a compliant which in turn they called the same store and resolved this issue. They are rude, no people skills , no respect , horrible horrible customer service . They try to scheme you out of your money and they complete misrepresent Uhaul ! DO NOT USE THIS LOCATION
I️ Wish I️ could give this place 0 stars so it can have a 0 Star or better yet a negative star review like it deserves! The nasty little girl at the counter and the “Gansta” bums that work for this uhaul place are ignorant nasty and rude I️ don’t understand how these people have jobs or better yet represent a major company like uhaul. They are going to lose so much business because of them hiring these thugs who are rude and completely slow and horrible at there jobs! By the way if you come here do not park in the parking lot. There is no sign at all telling you not to and you would think in such a large Parking lot there would be a spot to put your vehicle due to the fact that you drive there to get in and drive there truck but according to these idiots you should just assume you can’t park there and if you do they will give you an even worse attitude and actually start a fight with a nice paying customer and your not allowed to stand in there and look at there boxes either or you will get an attitude/yelled at for touching them .. I’ve been working for a moving company for 9 years so I️ know every and any type of moving equipment there is and there employees who sell it (rip you off btw) have no clue what there talking about when it comes to what you need they should be trained. I️ feel like the person hiring from uhaul drove down into the hood found 3 idiots on the corner and offered them a job. I️ hope one of them reads this and I️ hope more people come here so they can get a lot more 1 star reviews
I dont think Ive ever written a review on Google before, but since I have an overabundance of time from how long Ive been standing here waiting to pick up a trailer that I already self checked-in for, I thought I would take a moment and mention that this location is horribly understaffed by people who visibly appear to not care about their job or customers. If you can rent from another location, youll gain some time back in your life.
Absolutely Disgusting service.First, the Uhaul location that i was supposed to pick up the truck from told me that the truck never came and told me to head on 25 miles out of my way to this place. Then, when i got here the woman at the front desk tells me that I better return the truck by 6pm when my reservation ran till 10 pm. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
Total nightmare. I wish zero stars was an option. I was publicly reprimanded and humiliated by Mara Edwards for being late, after i called her a few times expkaining my lateness and assuring her that i still needed the van. Total psycho. Refused me rental after I paid for van. I was on my way out of the lot, with a cargo van and she jumped in the passenger seat of the moving vehicle and took the keys out of the ignition. She then proceeded to block me from renting a uhaul in any other location, accusing me of racial slurs. Total lie. As well, my credit card has been charged as if i rented the van for 2 days and drove 10 miles. I never made it out of the lot. I will never go back there. I will never rent a uhaul again because of her.I left there with chest pain. Spent the day in the emergency room trying to get my blood pressure down.
On 6/24 A friend I was helping to move rented a 15 foot box truck from this location. I picked up the truck and looked it over. I took pictures of the truck on all sides. So as not to have any surprises when I turned it back in by 2pm the same day. I made sure to triple check the odometer reading as well.(Two weeks earlier I rented a pickup from another location and the odometer was off by 30 miles.So its a great idea for you to make sure the paper really matches the odometer. After some discussion with the owner of this location we worked out the mistake.)Thinking I covered myself on anything fishy they could throw at me I left, picked up my friend and we floor loaded her belongings, drove to her new location, unloaded her belongings, drove to a gas station to gas up, and drove around the block to turn in the vehicle. A young man came over and had me do a bunch of blinker tests, brake light tests, turn on the head lights please he also checked the odometer, looked all around for any damage, he opened the back of the truck and looked all around in there. We agreed that I was 7 miles over the predicted mileage. He told me the adjusted price. I agreed and signed the hand held computer and left.Later I found out from my friend they charged her for a dolly fee uhhmmm we never used a dolly. My friend called the location and they said something about a green zip tie was broken. Which means we used the equipment. Hmmmn I guess now I have to take close up pictures of the unbroken green zipties on thedolly (actually its a handtruck) they have strapped to the wall, and pads in a bag strapped to the wall. So I dont get the surprise bogus charge.After calls to the location and getting nowhere. My friend called Uhaul customer service a few times and filed a claim the refund for the bogus use of equipment charge was issued.I would use this location again. But all I can say is you really need to take pictures of everything you never know when it will help you. In this instance I didnt take enough pictures. Live and learn right.
If you go there for supplies, dont believe they will take them back. This is a sales ruse they use to convince you to over-buy. They do not take the stuff back. I felt like a fool for having believed them. If you make a big enough stink, they will give you a VIP pass, which it seems you can save for a discount on future supplies. Who would ever go there again after falling for their nonsense. Anyone who does deserves to be cheated: Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.
I reserved a pick up truck through call center. When I was there on time to pick the vehicle, they made me wait and I went out to see whats going on and there were trying to clean the vehicle. I wrote trying because they gave me a vehicle with deep mud marks with stains on driver seat , the whole cargo section with mud and huge stains on passenger seat. The reaction of the owner/general manager was so rude when I asked him how they can give or reserve any customer a vehicle like this.Because of rude and careless attitude of owner I left there.As this was the last pick up truck he made me loose at least 2 hours to find from some place else and attitude made me feel so down all day long.
Will give 0 stars if i could worst haul ever i rent haul from everywhere this is the worst customer service i ever had, just so you know i rent a lot so Im paying for this and all i get is dont come back go to other places also discriminating me calling me names and very unprofessional also very racist the worst the names of the employes are NYA PORTER AND ERINNA EVERETT THE WORST GENERAL MANAGER WITH THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. I WOULD LIKE THE DISTRCI MANAGER TO CONTACT BECUASE I WOULD LIKE MY COMPANY TO KEEP DOING BUSINESS WITH UHAUL BUT NOT WITH THOSSE EMPLOYEES.

2021-07-27Yesterday, my sister was scheduled to drop off her Uhaul box truck and trailer as well as use Uhaul’s storage unit to store some things in the interim of her moving into a new apartment. To say that the total experience was a nightmare is nothing short of the truth.The day prior, she was told she could gain access to the storage unit after-hours with her card and/or code, none of which worked. So she/we were all left off-schedule thinking we’d be able to move our things from the truck to the storage unit that night until the card and code didn’t work. We left the truck and trailer in the lot and came first thing the next morning. No phone call we made helped us get in at all.Fast forward to that morning, yesterday, and we were told that the system needed to be reset for our cards to work (the “system” was reset, and still nothing worked). With barely an explanation as to why we were left stranded the night before. Now we had to unload our truck and put items into our storage unit. The first storage unit hallway was so absurdly thin we couldn’t fit out couch into it (the unit itself would fit it with plenty room to spare, but the hallway wouldn’t accommodate the item). So we had to move storage units. My sister had to purchase a lock for the unit. The key broke inside of the lock the first time it was put in. It was AFTER the lock was purchased (at the facility itself) that we were told it was the wrong lock to purchase because it’s not as easy to clip if it needs to be. The storage unit was free, but only free AFTER we asked about the posted inside of the truck we rented — implying that we’d have been charged if we hadn’t mentioned it!Now, the storage units and facility themselves. I’ve never seen such a poorly constructed, managed, and maintained facility. Wood coming out of places it shouldn’t, nails coming out of beams within the unit. Once inside the storage unit, there’s a LARGE portion below the ceiling where you can literally CLIMB from unit to unit, WITHOUT A LOCK, and look at/take anyone’s things that you want! Outside of the unit, above the door, there is CHICKEN WIRE and an extremely sizable/laughable gap that anyone with a pair of pliers and a step ladder could use to rummage through your things. This place is the opposite of secure. And I can’t even begin to get started on the dozens of roaches (alive and dead) hanging around the floors.The experience was utterly abysmal and disgusting. Not only is the facility unpleasant, but it is unsafe in every sense of the word. Your items are unsafe, your health is unsafe. And not a single inkling of compensation was offered to my sister. I would never recommend this place to anyone, and something needs to be done! I attached photos of the facility.

2022-03-22These people are crooks. They took my trailer back on Thursday, come that Tuesday I received a phone call asking when I was going to return the trailer. Ridiculous. Trying to get more money out of people.

2021-11-02I came here to drop off a truck I rented. The staff were very friendly, very efficient and the process was simple. I left the truck in the desired lane with the keys in the cab. They took care of everything else. This facility has a big lot and there are also storage facilities here. You can also get boxes and other packing supplies. I recommend this place for your truck rental and moving needs

2021-11-29Negative 10 stars. I’m not even going to waste my energy explain how terrible our experience was from start to finish. From the first bill we didn’t receive in the mail which then caused us to have a late fee, to canceling our reservation when we were done with our storage unit, and driving up the “drive up” ramp backwards 80 times (most ridiculously designed ramp ever) DO NOT USE THIS LOCATION. Or honestly, don’t even use u-haul. When you call the main number they tell you one thing, then you speak with someone at the individual location they tell you something totally different. Please do not use this location. You’ll thank me later!!!!

2021-11-06Customer service is mediocre here,no clarification to any rental availability. The customer service reps have no clue on how to explain their process of reserving a vehicle out to someone, nor do they follow on with online reservations. Don’t waste your time putting in a application online for a vehicle, you’re going to lose it someone else some how with no reasonable explanation. They need a on the phone reservation and you’ll be placed on a waiting list to see if anyone cancels, any day from the date you need a vehicle to 3 days. Please reserve your time somewhere else.

2021-08-23We came to U-Haul To pick up a trailer. After the Sales Lady had assessed our reservation, saying we had made a mistake. She took the liberty to help set up a new order and make sure we are set on our order. Shout out to Cory for helping us. She took a lot of patience for us and others that were there. Great Employee of the year!!!

2021-09-23Very unprofessional.Made a 5 day reservation a week in advance and received a confirmation email. 1 hour before my pickup time, the lady here called me to tell me that they cant rent it for more than 24 hours and that Id have to return it within 24 hours. She was rude and not apologetic. Very bad customer service.
