They try.They are supposed to open at seven...and they do...but they first have to clean your truck because it most likely came in overnight.My advice...GET THERE EARLY!Also, they do not have the extra large trucks on hand. Most of the time twenty feet is their limit.UPDATE... Still the same.
Everything was good. Please excuse me I do not know the young lady name that helped us but she had cute braids she was by herself at the register and she was taking care of 2 customers at the same time and she was very good at it. We bought the uhaul back before time handed in the key and left. Everything went smooth I will use this location if need be.
My money was stolen; they charged me twice and when I called the main office I was put on hold for more than 1 h 15 mn . I sent a message to them and after four days a lady called to inform me for the first time that the second charge was for some damage on the passenger side. Im a senior citizen and it is terrible. N. B. The van was thoroughly inspected when I brought it back .
Great facility. Staff is always quick to help. Gas station right next door so you never have to pay premium pricing for them to fill it up . They offer storage and a wide array of trucks. Mostly vans and small cargo trucks. If you want the 26ft truck make sure that you call ahead and book !
Horrible customer service! Rep behind the counter barely wanted to do her job, very short with responses, offered no options in terms of renting a storage unit. Overall just not pleasant! I own serval businesses and she is everything we train our associates not to be! I ended up renting a cargo van but decided not to rent the unit due to poor service. If there was somewhere else to rent the van they wouldn’t have got my money at all thumbs down!
My experience was shallow,the first rep I dealt with was very kind.but then in the mix of moving I get an alert stating my account has been withdrawn.after paying in cash,this shouldnt have been happening. I bring the truck back and CLEOPATRA has one of the nastiest attitude u could encounter in the world. She asked me did I check the TRUCK BEFORE U LEFT,I said no,didnt think to. She replied well,YOUR RESPONSIBLE FOR.THE DAMAGE,I WAS LIKE OMG,WHAT DAMAGE?. Then she considered MY GLASSES and a black plastic bag GARBAGE😶🙄,instead of saying your reading glasses are I the back. I then proceed to tell her there was nothing wrong with the truck when I left it, it could have been hit or it was there....I DIDNT REALIZE.IS THERE ANY WAY I CAN DISPUTE OR COME TO A PLAN.....SHE LAUGHED AND SAID VERY NASTY....NO,AND IM NOTING IT! SO IF U DONT PAY BY NEXT WEEK WELL SEE U IN COURT🤔🤐. I stayed calm. I left knowing what ever she was talking about wasnt my fault,but according to her,I MUST PAY. I GOT ONE BLOCK AWAY AND MY PHONE GOES OFF AGAIN,ONCE AGAIN,SHE HAS PLACED UNAUNAUTHORIZED WITHDRAWL ON MY CARD.MIND U,SHE NEVER SEEN NOR ASK FOR THIS CARD SHE KEEPS CHARGING.I CALLED AND EXPLAINED,U ARE BEING FRAUDULENT,THAT IS CONSIDERED A FELONY,AND I WILL REPORT HER.....#MYMONEYWASPUTBACKBUT THE BANK HAD already charged me.I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone that may be on a budgett,or last resort because they will ABUSE YOU AND THERE AUTHORITY AS THE ONE BEHIND THE COMPUTERS. DONT GIVE THEM YOUR REAL INFO,CAUSE IT SEEMS SOME WORKERS DOUBLE DIP. I DONT HAVE 150$ ON A GOOD DAY,WHY WOULD I DO SOMETHING TO PUT THAT ON DEBT FOR.ME WOTH 5 children. Bought and paid for some (not a lot) of moving supplies online on a Friday afternoon for an early Sunday pickup. Came early afternoon on Sunday and nothing was ready. Had to help pull the order myself to get it ready to go after waiting and waitingHad tried to call in the morning after they opened but no answer. They couldn’t care less.Waste of time and horrific and Aggravating experience- like the other times I’ve come here. Next time I’ll travel a little further to a different location.
I would give 0 stars but it wont let me. This location has had horrible customer service the entire time I have had a unit there, the facilities are always filthy, and there are very likely people living in the facility. Since the property is so disgusting they have a rat problem which let to my unit having rats run through it and damage my property. Their insurance company will not pay out for damages and have never responded to any communications after filing a claim. To top it all off they have raised their rates 2 times in 2018 while not improving any aspect of their facility. I do not recommend using this location if your property has any value.
First off I want to start by saying that this is my first time writing a review. I had to do this because this place is just disgusting & unbelievable. I had my belongings in storage for a few Months. I finally took them out just to realize that they had so much Rat droppings everywhere. I had no other choice but to leave my couch & bed because it was to disgusting. This place is not cheap $200 a Month to keep my stuff safe & I couldnt even take it with me. I filed a claim & they are telling me that they are not responsible. Please go somewhere else to keep your belongings safe & clean.
Cleopatra does a terrible job and should be fired. She lies and i caught her in her lie and she told me I have to lave the store. Worst coustmer service ever. (I hope her boss sees this). It always takes minimum an hour to rent a truck. BEAWARE WORKERS DONT WEAR MASKS.
DONT GO HERE! If I could give negative stars I would. I reserved and paid for merchandise online prior to visiting the location. When I got there to pick up my products (already paid for), the rep told me that they didnt have my order in their system. I showed him the confirmation email, he called his manager, and he told me..they probably shipped it to another location. (5 seconds of silence)...Me: So what am I supposed to do? Ive already paid and booked this for pick up here....He had no answer for me and told me if I wanted to I could call his manager back and speak to her myself but she would tell me the same thing....that they will not give me the merchandise. Me: So am I supposed to drive around to all of the u-hauls in the tri-state area until i find the one that has my merchandise? His response..i dont know what to tell you...Needless to say after being treated that way he and I had somewhat of a heated exchange of words. I called his manager and she firmly told me that she would not release any merchandise and I should take it up with the head office. No one tried to even make a call, or apologize for any inconvenience...They simply didnt care.
Cleopatra was so helpful! She showed me where everything was, quoted me a couple prices in trailers, and was extremely patient and nice while I was asking a bunch of questions. She also even offered me some free used boxes for my move! I shop a lot in this area and this is by far the best service I’ve received here! Thank you cleopatra for taking your time and really helping me. Moving is stressful and it’s nice to be welcomed to U-Haul by a friendly face.
Ive used this U-Haul more than once and I have yet found an issue. The staff is friendly, equipment is up to par. Just make sure you point out any dents in trucks you are taking with you , they normaly out a sticker where the dents are so that they know its not new damage to the vehicle but better safe that sorry. Other than that Ive had a great experience with this U-Haul truck service for many years.
Prepare for hidden fees and to get the run around. They continued to charge our account for fees that they could not explain. They said to call Uhaul, the customer service reps over the phone transferred us for 2 hours and 32 minutes until we finally spoke with someone who still didnt know why we were charged. When we were charged, no emails were sent, but they simply take it from your credit card. The phone rep said that there would be no further charges. Literally 2 days later, the card was charged again and Uhaul said to call the Inwood location. We then were put on hold for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Do yourself a huge favor and DO NOT USE THIS UHAUL. RENTER BEWARE. :(
Cleopatra Jones & the staff are extremely nice and polite at DISCRIMINATING. They have unfair late fee policies. The bill due date and late fee are accessed the same day. There is NO OTHER WAY AROUND THIS BEHAVIOR BUT TO TAKE INWOOD UHAUL & STORAGE TO SMALL CLAIM COURT TO SUE.DONT RENT FROM THEM

2022-06-16I use uhaul all the time. The experience is always pleasant. I wish the process of renting was a little easier (you have to take pictures of your license instead of them scanning it in for you.)Response to owner:Yes of course you could but the systemat the desk should have a way of scanning the license so you dont have to use your phone.Overall your great

2022-07-13Found the truck I needed in a flash. I didnt stay there more than 20 minutes. Fast and efficientThat place had plenty of free parking too.

2022-03-09Employees were very difficult to deal with, added costs and trucks were extremely high mileage and bad handling.Youll get a truck, but we will recommend you go elsewhere.Theres a penske nearby , was just so much more pleasant

2021-07-03Great staff, had what I needed. Only issue was the trailer was not cleaned and smelled like animal urine. I had to have the trailer cleaned and hosed down before I could take it, which they did do, but caused some delays in leaving. Other than that, good experience.

2020-11-11Worse storage unit place ever. There is always an issue at this place. Customer service is the worse. No one is helpful. They constantly have an excuse to not provide info. Storage place itself is disgusting filled with rats and crackheads. All the services they are suppose to provide you with they don’t here and they are super rude when you ask a simple question. Worse place with the worse workers in the world I ever had to deal with. Never again.
