Its a great place to find used parts but youll want to keep checking the website to see when the car show up because the longer they sit there the more stuff thats going to be gone when you go to look at it. They have an inventory list of the vehicles some with pictures and also the date that they received the car which is very helpful.
Very good junkyard, the best around Utica and Rome area. Its less than an hour from downtown Utica but you can nearly find any car model you need parts for and their website is beautiful and friendly to use and also you can easily check the car model and the in enventory youre after.
Horrible. Dont bother. Junk yard is perfect for this place. It would be like trying to get something to eat off a stripped chicken bone. There is nothing of value left on the stuff in the yard, they need to bring in new stock and crush whats out there. Wilberts is much more organized, the yard is clean, no standing swamps to hurdle. I wont be going back.
Danny is probably the most honest man and fair on all prices. Maybe not so much on tires but, try getting stuff cheaper?... good luck with that! Ive known Dan and Billy a long time and would trust their word on anything . Great service and blue collar prices, thats for me!!!
Descent selection of cars, trucks, SUVs e.t.c. The staff seems to be fairly friendly & knowledgeable. The only downside is that if you dont want to pull the part yourself, then there isnt someone who will do it for you for a small fee! Sometimes there is a guy there {who isnt an employee} that will do it, but you have to hope hes there. It would be nice to be able to call ahead and have the part waiting for you at the counter.
Good stock, pleasant people seem to have a clue. No BS about returns.Do beware the forklift driver on Aug 28 seemed oblivious to customers. He may be driving with care but to me I did not see any caution of looking for people walking around or working on vehicles. If they are going to work that frantically they ought have a spotter.
This is the top salvage yard in the region. The prices are bare bones and they barely charge for core cost. The front office is organized and well operated and the salvage yard has literally every vehicle you can imagine. They have a 30 day guarantee and will keep track of parts for you if you are looking for something specific. If you need cheap parts this is where you start.
Great place for finding used parts that you find and remove yourself with your own tools. Cash only or use the ATM that charges a fee. 30 day exchange for future credit. Parts for some vehicles may not be available always, especially older, 15+ years old. $1 gets you in. Call ahead for vehicle inventory. They cant tell you if a specific part is available.
Edit to original. They have started to clean the yard up still could use some more but big improvement since my original reveiw under this. Not as many little parts all over the yard. The yard could use some work amd clean up. Dead trees rocking and crackaling in the wind as you and work on a car next to it.
Very unprofessional. I called on Thursday to ask about selling my old truck. They said their driver would call on Friday and come tow the truck. I waited all day Friday, and didnt hear from anyone. Called them again Friday afternoon, and they said their driver would call me as soon as he got back. Waited the rest of the day, heard from no one.Called again on Saturday to ask if they would be still be interested in buying the truck. I was again told that their driver would call me as soon as he got back. I waited the rest of the day, and the driver never called me.
Broken glass and excessive metal shards and rust chunks all over the ground. Massive amounts of water everywhere.Unorganized mess of junk with no room between vehicles to navigate the lot. No signage to find your target vehicles. You have to walk up and down every row to find what your looking for.The place is a complete joke of an auto yard. Far better off going to Pick and Pull in Auburn.Avoid at all costs!
I stopped at this place on my only day off. So the yard closes at 2pm on Sunday right, I drive 40miles to make it inside there door at 1:34pm to be told Im 4mins to late and I cannot enter the yard. I explained how Ive traveled , spent Time, and fuel.. I was turned down for being 4mins late... Further more while entering the building I noticed 8-10 people inside the lobby area and not one of them had a mask, including the cashier. Absolutely disgusting and unprofessional on your part, now youve lost a customer..t
I had briefly gone over their website, everything seemed pretty decent with this establishment. I had given them a call to see if they had any Infiniti G35(Brembo Breaks) or G37s. The gentleman on the phone asked what year, I stated any year. He then had asked what year is your car? I said it didnt quite matter as they are all the correct fitment for my rims. The guy on the phone then screamed WHAT YEAR IS YOUR CAR?! I then hung up. Even if they had exactly what I was looking for, at the best price possible, Id pay double to get it from elsewhere.
I played a dollar per person to get in to see a bunch of cars in terrible shape. I was expecting them to have better parts like Pick-n-Pull. (EDIT) I went again to get a headlight which is a 30 second job and was yelled to rudely that I couldnt go in by a bunch of loud and immature workers because it was 5:31 and they cant let people in past 5:30 because they close at 6:00. I will drive to Auburn if u need so much as a bolt next time. I dont support a business that doesnt care about its customers, let alone disrespects them. The only reason this business is successful is because it is the only car parts junkyard in Syracuse. My review is going from 2 stars to 1 star.
Most of the cars are stripped and the yard is completely cluttered. Its almost impossible to get out of there without tripping over something. They dont have a person managing the yard taking care of it. Plan on going there in the winter? Forget It! The snow hides the parts on the ground and chances are you will hurt yourself. This junk yard is nothing like Wilberts or the Pick and Pull in Auburn. Its just a chaotic mess!
The workers there do what is required, but the place NEEDS CRUSHED STONE BADLY. there is as much water there as there is ground. I go in and take a quick look because I have 4 cars and when I see water in the walkway I dont even bother looking there. UPULL IS LOSING MONEY OVER THIS.
Boughten a few things here. Theyve got a pretty decent selection, but I have to laugh when theres not even a radio knob left on the vehicle and its still sitting in the yard. Some things are good deals, others not so much IMO. Only car tires are $5....other tires are $10, or more. Learned that a while ago and If a tire needs to be dismounted from a rim you will pay for that too. Also, make sure your items are marked by them. I had to make a return once that wasnt marked by them properly and it wasnt a pretty discussion amongst us since they thought I was trying to scam them. It all worked out, but they definitely dont bargain, or haggle on prices. Im sure theyre making good bank at $1/person to enter the yard too.
Front desk lady couldnt help us with what they might have or not in yard (bummer). She did tell us how many cars like ours were out there though. We wasted over two hours searching for something they didnt even have....mechanical staff was very helpful with other questions about my car though. Stood their ground on the rules (definitely a plus). Very friendly.
First, dont ask for a quote on the website youll never hear back from them. They know the website doesnt work, and basically dont care. I emailed them through it several times, nothing. Brought it up to the owner/guy who seemed in charge; he knows it doesnt work... no more. Guess its too much work to take it down or tell people theyre wasting their time using it. They really dont want your car anyway unless its scrap metal anyway, go somewhere else if youre looking to actually sell a car for more than $100 to $200.Next, counter staff are a mix of somewhat helpful folks and absolute thieves. Theres absolutely zero professionalism at all. The fat old guy is a total theif. They advertise a complete engine or transmission then nickle and dime you over every part on it. BTW youll need the converter with the tranny if you buy the BS warranty, make sure you dont go to the fat old guy tho, hell charge you separately for the converter. Every other nut, bolt, and wire on there as well. He has his own special definition of complete transmission. Also, the yard closes half an hour before the close of business. So if fat old guy is working that means 5:25 and it wont matter that you need a part that takes 5 minutes to obtain, hes already checked out and the register is closed. His bucket of @#$%s is completely empty. He should find a new job, hopefully not dealing with people or animals.Hands down absolutely awful customer service, this place is my new last resort, theres better more professional places around town to go that are worth traveling to. Places that will treat you like they value your business, and not tell you one price on the price list but charge you another. A&P, Central, Pick N Pull.
Worst place i have ever dealed with. has worst customer service. they refused to give a refund after i payed to have them pull a motor after they pulled the wrong one.i drove down to pick up 2 weeks after paying and them saying it was done they tried giving me wrong motor before i realized that the motor i bought was still in the truck in the yard. almost none of them even know what they are doing the owner was the rudest of all. then they were rude to my wife when she went in to get money back due to me at work and then kept 100 saying i still have to pay labor for their mess up. the yard is horrible and they are cons dont go
Horrible experience, The people are rude, I actually got yelled for pulling an engine from the top of the vehicle and not dropping it out the bottom! It was probably the easiest lift he had in the last year.... grumpy old man. The engine was bad....Would not honor the 30 day warranty, no refund, no store credit, just I should have known it was bad. The place is scum hole! Save yourself the time and aggravation and just go to the other place.
Went to get a Chevy tranny today and the girl at the computer didnt know how to look it up, went out in yard found one in a van and it was sitting on ground , no tires on it and not blocked up. Went in to see if they could lift it up with loader and block it up and their reply was come back Tuesday! I drove from Watertown so we went to vinces upick upull pull and got a tranny there no problem. Great customer service at Vinces ,
DONT WASTE YOUR TIME there are some imature workers there that shouldnt be working anywhere but picking trash of the roads. i cant stand how they talk to people and how rude they are if you ask them a question. the prices are not so good unless the parts are good which most are not. i would say its a redneck junk yard
The entire yard is so unorganized its hard to find anything other U-Pull U-Save places genuinely have a sense of organization big vehicles and back smaller ones up front this place has none of those though the staff may be doing their best with what limited inventory they have itd be nice to try to cross from one section to the other without having to walk around a dilapidated vehicle in the center of the walkway.
The junk yard makes no sense the rows start at 36 go to 70 but then in the back corner start at 27. Also I called ahead and they said they have the part go their and they could cross over the part right the guy was an ass at the front desk I have been in junk yards alot this place sucks.

2022-05-23Front staff is polite and helpful. Always have a great selection of vehicles, and always getting more. Well ran salvage yard, prices are beyond reasonable. Unlike many other yard in cny u-pull keeps a good inventory of light trucks and some medium duty truck which other yards seem to shy away from. Well worth the drive.

2022-05-30Honestly I won hundred percent agree this is a great pick and pull place! Honestly I would never go to any other pick and pull the website is amazing and I get text messages when vehicles that I’m looking for come in! The people that work here are really really really nice and helpful if you ask them or Pardeza look it up and give you a sheet with a part on it! Very well laid out and have a lot variety of vehicles. They have wheelbarrels that you can take in with you to take stuff out. I don’t know if I’ve ever come back without a part that I was looking for and also it’s a great location! And I would say all the parts are super reasonably price because my brother and I went there and got two bucket seats for our minivan and they were only $15 apiece!

2022-06-09The con is always on here, from deceptive descriptions and pricing to outright charging more then the current price sheet, which is illegal in NY but the DA isnt going to do anything about that, us loosers who go to these places are not going to vote for them and the owner of the yard knows that. He is free and clear to hustle without fear. Part of the problem is you dont find out youre going to get conned untill you get to the counter. You already spent a bunch of your time pulling the part, you want it or not? There are other yards , this one should be your last resort.

2021-11-16Yes in deed pick and pull, well its dirty its big and you must add messy. All that being said if you dont mind the description i just stated above. And you dont mind getting a little dirty it is about far one of the best places to go to save money on car repairs. They have it all and they are up with the times, you check in at the front counter you pay a modest fee of $2.00 bucks. Inform them of what your looking for, they will mark all the areas you can find your items and give you a lists of where to go. They will also let you use a wheel barrel if needed. That place is now on organizational lock down and they have a magic key to help you find what you want.

2021-06-28Decent junkyard. Always have a pleasant time with the person at check-in. No power-tool rule is obnoxious when you need something that would be easier to get with a good old 20v, but it is understandable. They need to put in stone so bad. Rain water sits in puddles which is unavoidable, so bring boots! Selection is always pretty good and prices are unbeatable. Sold my junk truck to them in 2015 and gave me a decent price and picked it up locally as well.

2020-12-14Dont waste you time. lazy and unprofessional staff. Woman in check out seemed to be sick and wasnt wearing a mask. Instead doing her job, she was talking to another staff. She doesnt know how to work with customers. It looks like a cashiers job is too difficult for her. Also I was told on a phone that a vehicle that I needed was in yard, row 65, I spent 2 hours driving to find out that row 65 is empty.
