uBreakiFix in other cities:
If i could rate this joke of an establishment zero stars I would, but I was forced to vote atleast one to even make a review.I recommend that NO ONE use this place. From the minute I walked in it the employees were unprofessional and had zero compassion. They were misleading and gave false information just so they wouldnt have to deal with me ( a paying customer) any longer. After 7 hours of waiting after being told 3 different times to come and pick up my phone they gave me my phone with a huge scratch on it and just shrugged their shoulders like it was not their problem. This phone is being traded in and now they wont accept it because it was given back to me by them damaged. I have never had a place treat a customer so badly and unprofessional in my life. Please if you want to be treated with common courtesy avoid this place at all cost.
I brought in my phone because it was not charging . The tech was honest and friendly . Instead of telling me that an expensive repair was needed , he took the phone into the back and cleaned out debris from the area around the charge port .It works now . I have also used their services in the past to repair my computers . This is the place to go for professional help with electronic repairs !
Really great experience replacing two cracked iPhone screens. Camera on one didn’t work and we have asked to replace it. They were honest and told us a wire had simply come loose and connected it at no additional charge. So with two new screens and some new screen protectors, we are very happy customers. And all was completed in less than 2 hours. Highly recommend!!!
The touchpad on my MacBook Air suddenly stopped working 24 hours before I was due to be on a flight. I stopped in here and they looked at it right away. Asked me to leave it and had it up and running for me with plenty of time to catch my flight. The staff was friendly and the location clean and organized. I highly recommend them.
I went in to get a new screen protector, which, about a year ago, cost me $20. This time it was free if I wrote a good google review, so here it is. Took about 5 minutes and the guys were pleasant and very efficient. I’d go back in a heartbeat for service on any of my devices.
EDIT: as the owner requested I reached out to the customer service line and have been in queue for over 15 minutes with 1 caller ahead of me. Seriously considering bringing this down to 1 star the longer I wait. Now at 20. Avoid this Business.2 stars at best. Broke my screen and needed a replacement. I live in NYC and came to this store as their repair price was significantly less than that of other ubreakifix stores in NYC.Been in the store 5 times for the same repair. The first was my decision not to repair so really could be 4 that I will put as stores problem.Second visit I was told there were no parts and to wait 3-5 business days for the part to come in. 3 days later I call to find out if the part is in and I was told yes.The next day, my third visit, I come in and I am told that the part is actually not in. I leave frustrated and go home to NYC. I get a call 3 hours later that they made a mistake and the part is in stock in the guys hand. Seriously.Fourth visit I come in again from NYC and they can finally repair the phone. The reason this review has 2 stars is that the gentleman who took care of me accepted giving me a 10% discount for my troubles. Now a week later. My screen is lifting and now after my FIFTH visit to this store I am told I need to leave the phone and they will need to get to it later in the day.Absolute waste of my time and money. How could they not at least check something out that they did a poor job repairing and give me a time frame. They just told me to leave it and that they will get to it.Now Ive wasted gas, money, and time on a poor quality repair that wasnt even done correctly. Never returning to this location and will be recommending people AVOID.
I spent over 6.5 hours total, on hold time, chat etc. The addition site kept shunting me to Verizon tecc support. These guys are great! They fixed multiple probs like silent phone ring no notification on text messages and loud dings for every email, including spam. Highly recommended
Booked an appointment on their site a full week ahead. When I arrived for it, was told they didnt have the part. When I asked why they didnt order it, since I booked the appointment a week ahead, was told someone should have called me to say I would need to come in to put in a work order so they could have ordered the part. Which seem foolish if they tout same day repair. No one called me during the whole week before my appointment and if that wasnt bad enough, ask I left the store because they didnt have the part needed to fix my phone, the same person who I was talking to in the store called me a few minutes after I left to. Ask if I was still coming in. And to let me know they didnt have the part. So a whole week go back and you call me 30 minutes after my appointment time to let me know you dont have the part! This location seriously needs to get their stuff together.
I had my screen repaired on April 3rd as it was cracked. Today April 14, the new screen put on by UBREAK I FIX MT KISCO stopped working. I dont usually like to leave any negative feedback, but the service they provided to my wife and myself today was beyond poor quality. They were having us making an additional claim with Asurion in where i would of had to pay again(and of course they were looking to get paid too). They were not willing to assist us in getting a hold of Asurion or even taking a look at the phone. Manager by the name of Jake was unprofessional. Owner of the location John G was also telling Jake to have us call Asurion, however when i started asking for Corporate information, John mentioned to Jake for us to go back in a second time so they could see what was going on with the phone. My wife arrived and yet they were still having her call Asurion without even taking a look at the phone. My wife finally was able to get a hold of Asurion, placed a ticket and by explaining what happened. The rep told my wife to leave the store as we were getting no where. Customer service goes a long way, the fact that the business owner couldnt even take 10-15 minutes to see what was going on or even the manager makes everything worse. it was a faulty screen replacement, and it had nothing to do with Asurion. Overall poor experience.
The guy that was assisting me was more eager to get me out then to help me. Was huffing and puffing as soon as I came in. Told him my p4 keeps turning off and wont turn on sometimes and he turned it on for 10 seconds and tried to get smart like the problem was magically fixed. Didnt even spend a full 5 minutes with my ps4.Drove 15 miles for nonsense. Dont see myself coming here again
I have to edit my review after lets call it a less than stellar preformance.Made my samsung care appointment, then showed up at the time they said 10-12. I had to wait outside for close to an hour because of their 2 person covid rules and a difficult customer inside. Finally get in and the person helping takes all my info, then has to redo everything when I said for the second time it was samsung care. Was assured that I didnt have to pay anything out of pocket. Now when I go the next say they have no record of my insurance claim and I have to pay 325 dollars to get it back. Since there is a claim I have to spend my day on the phone calling everyone to get my money back. Im not sure how difficult it is to process a claim and obviously I dont do it everyday, but come on guys whats the point of phone insurance if I have to lay out the cash because of the incompetence of the clerk. I look forward to hearing back about how to get my money refunded because my other times using your store were completely good experiences.
I have had to come here twice for issues with my phone and have been very happy with the service both times. People are friendly, I havent had to wait very long, and both times they have diagnosed and fixed the problem which, turned out to be easy and did not charge me for their advice. I would recommend them.
While they ultimately gave me back my phone, it worked only because I insisted the issue was somehow with the phone itself, not the carrier (Visible). The manager was kind enough to humor me and we tried his Verizon sim card, which worked, and when I reinserted my Visible sim card, low and behold, it worked. They originally charged me $200 plus, for a new screen and digitizer, which was refunded completely when it didnt change the fact that I had no network connection after working on it for a week. A good crew, not great, but honest.
I had my Galaxy Note screen repaired here yesterday. They did a nice job on my phone. A very professional group of people. I was impressed with how they handled other customers as I was waiting for mine to complete. Very good customer service skills. I recommend this certified Samsung repair shop. Also of note - they were nearly $200 less than the non certified repair shops I called.
Excellent fast, reasonably priced and local. very capable tech checked all functions of the phone and said that it would be ready in an hour and a half. I was called on home phone in one hour that the phone was ready. Three month Guarantee and speed make the possibility of attempting a Do It Yourself repair unreasonable. Sending for parts and/ or sending your phone in the mail for fast return cant compare with having uBreakiFix do it all in about an hour. If I knew that they were this good I would not have waited several months with a taped screen before getting it fixed.
My wifes screen cracked - it takes three visits over three weeks to get it fixed and in the end, they cant print a receipt. Not impressed AGAIN. Here are the details - I made an appointment online, and showed up 12/26. We dont have that part. Well have to order it. How can I go through _ALL_ the details about my problem only to have the store not have parts. A tech store that cant connect inventory with appointments?! OK, fine, order parts. Wait two weeks, no call back. I call them and find that they have the order but dont know where the parts are. Well call you back. Days later, I call them. Ahh... I dont know. Let me check. Put on hold for 25 min, ending with me hanging up. Start looking for alternatives. A few days later, they call. Oh, we have the part, but somehow your work order has been cancelled. If you come in soon, well fix it. I go in the next day (inconvenient but they said, soon), drop off the phone. I go back the next day, pick it up. I pay, but they cant print the receipt. I wait for 15 min. Nope, cant do it. The end. Im happy that the phone is fixed, but the appointment system and the (lack of) communication leaves me pretty certain Im looking for somewhere else next time.Made an appointment online to replace battery. Appointment was confirmed. Arrived and was told, We dont do that anymore. Sorry, we would have cancelled your appointment but yesterday was a holiday, so they probably called but no one was here. Apparently none of the uBreakiFix stores do this battery locally, even though its advertised on the website and nothing stops you from making an appointment to have the battery replaced AT THAT STORE. Oh, thats a national thing. But we dont do it. Definitely not impressed.
My husband brought in my phone around 11am to have the back glass repaired. They told him it would take 3-4 hours max, so he got there at 4pm. At 5pm, I called and complain, because my husband will do nothing but wait (yeah, hes that way). Apparently, when they put the phone back together, they broke the sensor and it wasnt working. So I complained some more. Finally at 5:30, my husband was handed back the phone. If I hadnt called, my husband would be there until they closed waiting for the phone. Never again!
I called several local repair shops to get quotes to replace 1 glass camera lense on the back of my IPhone 11 Pro Max since mine had a tiny chip. I find it absolutely absurd that for a part that cost no more than $5 and takes less then 10 minutes to repair, I was quoted $100!!! The average cost of this repair ranges from $25-$35. What greed, I’ll take my business elsewhere.
I had a sign on problem on my Samsung tablet. It would not recognize my password. I called Samsung support and they could not fix my problem, so they said I could bring it here for warranty repairs. They looked at the tablet for awhile, then told me that at this time they could not repair it since the battery charge was at 90%, I would need to bring it back at 0%. After this I went back home and did Google searches for my problem. I found if you hold the power and volume down buttons at the same time it would reboot. This worked for me and the tablet has been fine since. Why didnt Samsung support and these people know this, to fix my problem?
They were able to fix my very broken phone in under an hour, and I was able to get both a pedicure and some lunch during that time. When I got back to the store, I saw that they had not scratched the phone at all, and they also had put the glass on very tight. I would gladly use their services again. Plus, I get 10% off for writing this Google review! :)
These guys provided excellent, Grade A, top-choice service from the moment I walked in the door, to the moment I picked up my phone. They were extremely knowledgeable, friendly, helpful, and fast. Compared to other fix-it companies, their price is very fair, especially when you consider the quality and efficiency of their work. These guys restored my phone (iPhone 6) to brand new after I had absolutely demolished the screen on a boozed-up Halloween adventure. The store itself is very clean and sheik, and it has somewhat of a futuristic spaceship feel, which is obviously a good thing. Perhaps the most impressive thing about this place was that they were playing The Wonder Years reruns on their in-store television. Clearly these guys know what quality entertainment is. Grab yourself a sandwich and a soft drink, and go get your phone fixed while you enjoy all the pleasures of Kevin Arnold and friends.
Leaving your iPhone on top of your car when you leave the house only to find it later in the middle of your street smashed is not a pleasant way to start the day. But... these guys fixed the problem and... very quickly! Great experience! These guys are incredibly professional and efficient. Also side note, after the repair, I also bought a glass cover protector for the phone screen and it was WAY cheaper here than the last one I bought at Verizon.
My iPhone 4s sleep/wake button broke and I wanted to get it repaired rather than upgrade my phone. I found these guys through a Google search and since the reviews were positive I decided to give them a try. They checked me in, ran my phone through some diagnostics, and told me to stop back in about 90 minutes. When I arrived back at the shop Ray came to greet me with my repaired phone in-hand. These guys did a great job. My phone is working like new again. Clean waiting room, quality work, and affordable repair rates.
This place was fantastic. I needed the glass replaced on my iPad. I stopped in to get an estimate and was quoted a reasonable price and told the work could be completed in 3-4 hours, same day service. I told them that I had to make a train back to NYC in two hours. They said they would give it a try but couldnt promise. They expedited everything, called me to alert me that it was ready with time to spare and did an excellent . I cant recommend this place more!
Had a new Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus phone and the screen just randomly turned black and white. I spent hours on the phone with Samsung and got absolutely no where. They implied that I had dropped or got my phone wet. After no satisfaction, they recommended that I bring it to their authorized service store UBreakiFix in Mount Kisco. The store was very nice and clean in appearance, and the associate spent less than 5 minutes, and was able to fix my phone and restore my settings that I already had. So happy that I went here. Samsung did a hard reset that didnt work, and wiped out everything I had in my phone.
Extremely polite and clear service. The run a diagnostic check on each device brought in to ferret out any problems beyond the broken screen. Their pricing is clear, service is quick (expect a phone call as soon as they are done). The hours are great, too, some nights til 7 and open on Sundays. So far, Ive had wiring fixed on an iPhone that Id given up for dead and a new screen done very quickly on an iPad.
They did replace my screen and I paid 50$ for 1 year warranty. After 5 months screen stop response for touching (around 20% of screen on right side). When I came to replace screen they said their screen perfect and I have problems because new sistem updates coming and this is why my screen not responding:) basically I paid 50$ for nothing. 2 stars because at least my phone was working 5 months. Samsung note 8
This lot is super friendly and helpful! Tightened the screen hinge on my older laptop for free. Giving 3 stars because they accidentally detached the main disk drive from the motherboard while working on the machine. Just kind of wish they test booted it before returning it to me. It took a few hours out of my work day for me to run diagnostics on the software side before I decided to see if any hardware had been compromised. Not a huge deal but I thought it was worth noting and I hope this catches their attention.
I was in the store of Mount Kisco, Westchester County, and I really did not like the quality of service. I looked for this company for the reviews I read but, I left my S9 + cell phone, they said they would call, they never did it, after three hours I went, they repaired the screen but in exchange they damaged the finger print paint, they didnt want to repair it and in the end they agreed, but when I handed the cell phone back I saw, in the back, notable stripped spots in the paint, very poor quality. At least I do not recommend this place to anyone.
I took my Water Damaged iPhone 5S, for a FREE diagnosis, after my phone accidentally fell in a cup of water. I informed the tech that I had an Apple Upgrade available and would not want the phone repaired if the repair cost exceed the upgrade cost. The next day I called the store to inquire about my phone status and I was informed that the phone needed a battery replacement, Cost $99.00. Sure I happily said. and hung up. Not sure if this included labor i immediately called back. This time a different tech Jesse answered. I asked, how much for a battery iPhone 5s Battery replacement? He stated, We have a sale going on $69.99!????? I finally ended up at the store to pick up my repaired Iphone and happily left only to notice my screen was not clearly visible. I didnt make it to my car so I returned. The tech informed me that he noticed the screen was water damaged when he inspected the phone and if I wanted the LCD replaced it would be an additional $129.00 Plus tax. I immediately reminded him that I didnt want the phone fixed if the cost would exceed my upgrade cost and ask if he would use a phone with a bad screen, He stated that his phone has been bad for a year and as long as my phone turned on it was considered functional! When I requested a refund, I was told my battery was discarded already and they would need to remove the newly installed battery and they would Find a battery to put in. Needless to say I wasnt about to trust them with my phone again. Guess Ill be having my phone repaired elsewhere. My recommendation, STAY AWAY from this place and stick to Apple care, PENNY WISE, DOLLAR FOOLISH
I brought a broken screen in to get fixed and was met with a smile and told it would be a decent price taking only an hour. I came back an hour later to be told they need to talk to me because they dont have the right parts in the right color so they havent done anything or called me about it ( for the record not worried about the color). An hour after that Im still waiting for the screen to be repaired. They keep telling me 10 more mins and that theyre just really busy but Im the only one here and the staff keeps walking in and out going to stores in the area. Everybody Ive met in the lobby told me their horror stories from today making me never want to come back again.
Been in there three times for different computer issues. Their response is always exactly the same. They cant fix it there and they would have to send it out. It could then take a couple of weeks and they have no idea of what it would cost. Friends have had similar results . Since I dont know anyone whos ever had anything repaired at this particular location, the obvious question is what is it that do they really do at uBreakiFix.? Thus far its been IBreakandUdoNothing.
Horrible customer service. Called twice to ensure the phone would be done same day since I live so far away and was leaving next day. Even made an appointment online. Called once more before leaving to make the 45m drive and was told the phone would absolutely be done. When I arrived one customer was already frustrated and upset. Close to tears. When it was my turn, I explained I called and the manager said sorry, they cant get it done today. I tried to explain I called and the manager kept talking over me. I asked him to please hear me and he said heres a 10% off coupon, leave your phone and you can pick it up tomorrow. Never again.
I stopped by to get a repair for my iPhone since I felt it was too much to just replace it. I thought it would be a pretty easy and cheap fix, and it was pretty fast. I was appalled that they had the nerve to charge me for $120 for something so quick and easy. $120? Are you kidding me? I could find glass replacements online cheaper than that, plus get my buddy to fix it up for me. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Those scam artists charge out the nose for something your average tech guy could do.
Superb repair shop for electronics. I could not get a battery replacement for the worn-out battery in my iPhone SE. Apple store: long hold on phone, hello, 6 week wait, we recommend Best Buy. I phoned three Best Buy stores: all kinds of conditions, out of stock, we dont do that here, we need an authorization and a special shipment of the battery from Apple, 3 -5 week delay, etc., etc. Finally tried UbreakIfix: they had the battery in stock and the job was done in an hour, at the Apple price of $29.95. UbreakIfix is a great store, and by the way this was my FIRST and LAST purchase of an Apple product...if I want to be abused I can turn on the news.
I didnt actually need anything repaired. I needed someone to explain how to use an adaptor Id bought from Apple for an upcoming trip. The staff, particularly David, were very helpful and patient with this Senior. Even helped me find what I should order on Amazon. Very good service and local community folks.
I found the experience of having my phone screen replaced easy with the assistance of the staff at UBreakIFix in Mt. Kisco. They were friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The parts were not in stock but did arrive in the anticipated time window. The work was done in a timely fashion. The price was as quoted. Thanks!
Terrible experience. Brought in a working i touch with a cracked screen. First it took them over a month to get a replacement screen after having to call 3 times to ask when it was coming in. Finally got a call that it was in and I came in a little over a week later to have it fixed. When I got there they told me they closed out the request because it took me so long to come in (a week), after they couldnt get it together in the first place to order it (over a month) ! They told me it would take 4-5 hours to replace the screen, even though originally I was told about an hour, and the other reviews said an hour. They called me the next day to say they could not fix it. I came to pick it up and it was inoperable and the glass was actually completely gouged in the corner. They never said it might not work again, otherwise I would have lived with it. It worked perfectly when I left it with them. The ONLY problem was that the glass was shattered at the bottom, but it still worked fine. They tried to give me a story that when it was dropped it separated the wires behind the glass and would not work. While I explained that I left them a working i Touch and they returned a non working one. It was obvious that someone at their store destroyed it and they were trying to tell me it was my fault and that I can buy a used one online for the same money that it would have been for them to repair it. I said ok, I will pay you the $65 , but give me an I Touch that works. Orlando, I believe the new manager, because whenever I go in there there are new employees ,said I should go and do it myself and tried to argue with me even though he wasnt there a month ago about how long I waited for them to order it in the first place. It is obvious these people have no business sense and hire unprofessional techs to do their work.I would say stay away. Go to Apple.Even though I am in full support of our local businesss , this one is unscrupulous. Stay away!
Three month update: The first time I got moisture on my phone it was immediately ruined. Removing the back panel showed that the phone was improperly repaired. There was no seal around the edge of the back panel. The phone retained NONE of its water resistance AT ALL. Both UbreakIfix and Samsung denied any and all responsibility.Original Review:First off, if anyone at the business is reading this...you should get a clock in your waiting area! People are without their phones and in this day and age we dont know what time it is without them, lol.Anyway...I went to get a screen replaced on my Samsung S7 edge. I chose this location because I called Samsung and they told me that this location was an authorized Samsung repair center. I wanted to make sure that the phone retained its waterproof functionality and I thought this was the best way to do that. Upon arrival they informed me that in order to do the repair they were required by Samsung to do something that might factory reset it. I decided to take a few minutes to make sure that all my files were secure and backed up before proceeding, which was a hassle, but at least they notified me beforehand. After that it was smooth sailing. They got the phone done within the estimated time and the results are like new. I waited in the waiting area where they had comfortable seating, some reading material and a television. There were a bunch of local shops in the area that you can grab a bite to eat while you wait, although I didnt. I have had screens replaced in the past and there were bright spots on it, or the screen didnt pick up my finger well after the update or in one case holding the phone up to my face during a call would result in buttons being pressed. This install has none of those problems so I really cant say enough about the workmanship or quality of parts used. The only reason I am giving them 4 instead of 5 stars is that the install after taxes was $300!! This might not be an entirely fair deduction because I think it is more due to the design of the S7 edge than anything else. The pricing for replacing the screen on this phone is pretty high at any service center that I looked (even more expensive than newer Samsung phones).
Outstanding! I was on vacation on Nantucket when my IPhone died suddenly. I was phoneless - the rental house I was in had long distance service blocked. I was able to send my phone to uBreakiFix via UPS. It was amazing. They were able to diagnose and fix the problem, and I got my phone back in two days, working great. This is a really valuable resource. I dont know what I would have done without them.
These guys are fantastic. I dropped off my damaged iPod and expected for it to be finished the next day. A rep contacted me within two hours and informed me that my repaired glass on my iPad was completed and ready for pickup. The customer service at this place is great.
I brought one of my iphone 4s in (around 4:35 pm) for repair on the home button, power button and camera (yes a mess). When entering the store, its simple neat and inviting. Although no one was at the counter upon opening the door, I was immediately greeted politely and with a smile before 4 steps in. I explained my issue to Alex (name on my receipt), he advised that the camera may take some extra time. I got my quote and for each additional repair being done to my device it got a discount. I wont discuss rates and discounts cause it may differ upon region. I will say that, outside of a close friend or doing it yourself, they are very reasonably priced.I was contacted that evening around 6:30 to be informed they had completed the repair. I picked it up today (following day) from Raymond (name on payment receipt, one for drop off and one for payment). Their service and work was/is quality.I made a joke when dropping it off, to repair it with love, cause its love that makes mothers home cooking taste so good. Guess he heard my joke, cause he commented as I was departing that, he fixed it with love.I am pretty tech savvy, but didnt want to deal with ordering the parts (hoping for good parts) and install. I can honestly say, the service provided by this UBIF Crew was worth me taking the time to write my experience there, and I would return for service and recommend them. This is my personal opinion based on my experience. Yours may differ. I heard about them from my friend in another state. Surprised one was in my area. If the service was poor trust me I would have noted it, cause I can be a bit critical. Thank You!
This place have the worst customer service ever, the cashier guy had no idea how to load the cellphone into the computer and even worst how to turn his own laptop. I went there because of the price online and he said that that was wrong it was 60$ more around 350 compaired of the 290 online. Leave it or take it in other words with a very arrogant attitude, who the hell he think he is the freaking owner? Then he called his chubby manager and same thing arrogant as hell. Never go to that place, horrible and expensive.
Incredibly easy & fast repair of cracked screen with no LCD display!! Within a 1/2 hr., the phone was fixed. Price was reasonable and comes with a 90 day warranty against defects or poor workmanship (not an issue!!) Jesse was very friendly and was a pleasure to do business with him.
Stopped in to uBreakiFix in Mount Kisco yesterday, with two broken 4S iPhones. One they were able to repair for us while we waited, and the second, which had a cracked screen and broken on/off button - will be ready in a couple of days. This store offers excellent customer service. Our options to repair and associated costs were very clearly outlined. They also completed a quick diagnostic checklist on both phones, to be sure the other features were operating properly. I highly recommend uBreakiFix. We saved a lot of money by opting to repair the two phones we owned versus purchasing one of the newer models. The Apple store in White Plains (which we went to first) suggested buying an iPhone 5 or 6, telling us that it wasnt worth it to repair either of the 4s we owned. (They said they didnt even stock parts on the 4s any longer.) Needless to say, Im grateful to uBreakiFix for providing the solutions we were looking for. No need to mail your broken phone or iPad to a distant location for repair... Stop in to see these guys first. Im confident youll be very glad you did - theyre great!
Poor quality. I brought my phone to be fixed for just a cracked screen and left with pandoras box. I have been in twice now for repairs in less than 2 weeks, 1)for the original fix 2) to fix the LCD because it broke under the glass somehow so that was warranteed but still having battery issues with the phone cutting out at 20% battery and the new replacement LCD is defective and they offer a reduced cost to bring it back in to be fixed or give a refund after wrecking my iphone 7, Go at your own risk.
I tried out uBreakiFix for the first time. They were great. They were knowledgeable on my iPad and they were able to fixed the problem. It even turned out to be less money than they originally thought which I thought was very honest of them to tell me. I appreciated that very much. I would definitely recommend them to others and I would use them again in the future.
My father took my mothers Lenovo tablet in to repair an issue with a loose connection in the micro-usb port, as it was not charging unless held at a specific angle. They quoted us $99.99 for the replacement micro-usb port and for soldering, which they had to take to a facility 40 minutes away to do. We were told the part would take about a week to arrive, and the only person that could do the soldering would only be in after Friday (we brought the tablet in on Sunday). Received a call on Saturday that they did not replace the part, but instead fixed the current micro-usb port and would charge us $50 instead. They also told us that the tablet would no longer charge when on, only when the tablet was off. Lo and behold, the same issue was there when we got it back, and it did charge when on, but only when the usb cord was held at a specific angle as before.Long story short, we spent a week and $50 for them to not fix the problem that we brought it in for. Also, $99.99 for a replacement micro-usb port and soldering? A part that costs less than $5 and soldering that a high school tech class can perform. Save your time and money and go somewhere more competent that doesnt try to rip you off.UPDATE 4/22/17:uBreakiFix contacted us after this review and offered to perform the repair for free. It took them over 3 weeks, during which we had to call for updates since they did not notify us of the progress, and they were still unable to perform the repair and now there is damage to the motherboard, so it is unlikely we will be able to get it repaired elsewhere. For those with similar electronic issues, you may have to pay upwards of $100 and wait 3+ weeks for them to damage your device further.Stay far away and go anywhere else than this incompetent chain of stores.
AVOID at all cost. We should have listened to all the 1 star reviews. Took phone in for repair, paid $200 and 3 days later it’s not working. Won’t honor the warranty. Customer service is a joke. This place won’t last long. Go to Apple - same price and a real company.
The night before my daughter was scheduled to drive 4 1/2 hours back to college, she dropped her phone. Although it was in a very expensive case, it was badly damaged. Not only was she expecting to rely on the GPS. but I did not want her to make the drive without a reliable phone.I found UbreakItIFix in Mt. Kisco, when I googled same day phone repair. I thought it sounded too good to be true, but we had nothing to lose to try. My daughter showed up and Elliott was extremely courteous and helpful. Her phone was fixed in an hour and for a reasonable price. How refreshing that the company actually lived up to its advertising. Accidents happen it is great to know this place is here!
The guys here at UBreakItIFixIt are not only extremely knowledgeable but insanely customer friendly. We came In with 2 laptops (a Dell and and chromebook), a headphone jack had broken off into the port of the Dell, Ray took it in the back for all of 2 minutes and got it out, free of charge. The chromebook screen was cracked, we had ordered a new part ourselves but it came broken, they are now ordering a new part and repairing it for $100 which is very reasonable. Theyre also doing a free evaluation of a broken iPhone and soon a couple of Android phones. They will also be doing a free evaluation for another laptop that blue screens (which has been fixed multiple times by others) These guys are phenomenal at what they do and are very modest with the price. Will definitely be coming back. You guys are the bees knees
As I was asking around for where to get my shattered phone case fixed all my co-workers were telling me how expensive and annoying the whole process was. I went to UBreakiFix and they immediately took my phone with no hassel and it was fixed within a timely manner and looked brand new! Couldnt have been happier and would HIGHLY recommend this place!
Dropped of my laptop. Gave me no call backs, took half a week to do diagnostics and then when they finished ordered parts to without consulting me first. Called them multiple times to find out all this information. Then they gave me a date in which it would be done and it took an extra few days after that.No communication and they just started doing repairs without consulting me on price of the time span in which it would take.
About 2 weeks ago I placed a console into the store and they told me it would take about a week to be fixed and would cost $99.99. It has been 2 weeks and they still say it is going to take a few more days. I am frustrated because they rarely give me updates on what is going on and they keep pushing the date back on when I am going to be getting it back.
After being directed to go to this store by Samsung, I drove an hour (one way) only to be told he could not help me and told me I should have mailed it to Samsung. Also.... I tried calling the store for 2 days prior to driving there to speak to someone and left voice-mail messages and never got a call back.
Welcome to Westchester, guys! A MUCH needed resource for Mount Kisco and a waaay better use of real estate than yet another bank. The store is clean and modern. The personnel are friendly, knowledgeable and very courteous. I so appreciate that they kept me updated by phone as to my jobs progress.Thank you and I will highly recommend uBreakiFix to all of my Mount Kisco neightbors!
The only thing I did wrong after bricking my laptop was not going to UBIF immediately. Raymond knew exactly what to do and got me running again within 24-hours. The time I spent getting myself aggravated far outweighed the (very!) reasonable fee I paid for a fresh machine. Thanks guys!

2022-06-24I dropped my phone off with them earlier today. It was $170 to fix it. Not too expensive. They fixed my screen within two hours. Exceptional customer service. If needed, I will definitely be coming back. 100% recommend to anyone.

2022-06-27If I could give 0 stars I would. My iPhone was shattered, so I brought it here to be fixed about a month ago. When I dropped it off, I was told it would be ready within 2 hours. I wasnt able to pick up my phone until nearly 5 hours later. At the time that didnt bother me, but because I am now writing a bad review I figured I would add in that they dont communicate well regarding pick up times. I paid $280 dollars to have my screen repaired. I immediately placed a screen protector and case on my phone. In the last week, my screen began making a clicking noise as if there was an air bubble underneath causing pressure. Today I noticed that my phone screen has now shattered again without being dropped in the exact spot that has been clicking. I called UbreakIfix to inform them and they stated there is nothing they can do besides charge me another $280 dollars to have it repaired again. This is absolutely absurd - if I had brought my phone in two days prior to address the clicking issue, they would have been able to accommodate it. But because the clicking caused physical damage to the phone, they want your money again to fix it.Save your time and your wallet and have it done the correct way at an Apple store.

2021-12-16More like uBreakiBreak...I brought my Pixel 2 into ubreakifix because it was having difficulty turning on and staying on. After the diagnostic check, I received a call saying that both the battery and the screen needed to be replaced at a cost of $280. I was surprised that the screen needed to be replaced as it was fine when I dropped it off. This was also more than I was willing to spend, so I told them not to complete the work and that I would pick up my phone from them. When I picked up my phone, I was shocked to find that my screen had been cracked down the middle and that I could lift the screen up with a fingernail. When I inquired about the new screen damage, I was informed that the technician, Jakes A., had damaged the screen himself while performing the diagnostic check. I asked why the customer would have to pay for the damage incurred during the diagnostic check, to which he responded that this was company policy. If they cause more damage to your phone during this process, the cost to fix that damage falls on the customer. I expressed my frustration as now my phone is in much worse shape than it was when I dropped it off. He told me that he should have informed me when I dropped my phone off that any new damage would be on me, but he didnt do that. I was also frustrated that I wasnt informed of the new damage when I was contacted with the repair quote. No one thought to call me to explain what happened with the screen - I had to find that out on my own when I picked it up. He apologized, which I appreciated, but I am now the owner of a phone that needs more work to fix than it did when I dropped it off.Be careful potential customers - the cost falls on YOU if they damage your phone during the repair process.

2022-04-02Highly highly recommend this place if you’re ever in a pinch and need your phone fixed - I dropped my phone yesterday and was worried I would have to give it up for a few days for it to be repaired. Jake went out of his way to fix my phone within 2 hours (and perfectly put on a new screen protector for me). Seriously, this place/Jake is awesome!!!

2022-04-06I never write reviews as customer service in todays day and age has gone the way of the dinosaur but my experience with this store and its staff was so positive that I am taking the time out of my busy schedule to out the preverbial pen to paper. From start to finish it was evident that ubreakifix is a cut above the rest in a texh industry that usually is churn and burn. From the moment verizon opened my claim at the Mt. Kisco location it was almost instantaneous that I received a personal confirmation phonr call from the manager Jake. We briefly discussed my issue and he confirmed the parts needed were in stock. A realistic time frame of up to 4 hours was given for my repair and they blew that out of the water. The entire process took approximately 2 hours to which I am very grateful for. In only the twenty minutes I spent in the physical location Jake and the other employee (whos name I regret I do not remeber) gave excellent customer service to everyone that came into the store. What a breath of fresh air this experience was and as a business owner myself would highly reccomend their services to anyone in a technological quandry.

2022-03-19The two young men in this facility were friendly and professional. They were well informed about their craft. More importantly what made the experience most pleasurable was the classic r&b that was played while I waited.

2022-04-17I tried to get my Samsung phone fixed at their Mt. Kisco location. While they were unable to fix it and I had to send the phone into Samsung, that wasnt the issue. The problem was they knew my phone was still under warranty and they are contracted to fix such phones for free. They tried to tell me the problem with my phone wasnt covered so they could get some money out of me. The tech backed down when I told him to forget it. Beware.
