I went to work out at this gym today for a free class. I was scheduled for a 9AM class. The gym doesn’t open until 9AM. Whoever opened the gym this morning was very rude and not inviting at all. I told him what I was there for and he automatically asked if I had a mask, MIND YOU HE DIDNT HAVE HIS ON. We got upstairs and he proceeded to tell me I was a early and that the class didn’t start until 9:30AM. He didn’t invite me inside the gym, he walked in and left me in the staircase with no other conversation after. Being that it is a free class you would think he would give me some more information on what would be going on and having to sign papers that indicated that it would be my first time & I am aware of COVID... etc etc. He was just very rude and dismissive all around, I didn’t even stay, I just left and went home. That is not somewhere I would ever go again.

This place is okay. Tried the classes here a year ago before the pandemic. Did the jit jitsu class-no gi with the instructor Max Barnhart. Knowledgeable about his jitjitsu but very rude. Yells at the students in the class and that shouldnt be allowed. Im looking for someone to tutor me, not barrage me.... Maybe he should lose some weight. Thatll probably help him from not being rude.

Ive been attending this gym since it opened last year. I love the classes, the staff, the facility, and most importantly, the energy! The trainers are friendly and really try to cater the class to the requests and needs of each student, depending on the class size. I persuaded several of my friends and neighbors to join and Ive made some great new friends. Regardless of your age or fitness level, I urge you try UFC. I know some people, especially ladies, may be put off by the idea of boxing, but its a great workout! Its a non-contact sport. Youre only competing against yourself. Hitting the bag is great stress relief and will kick your butt into shape!

Moved out of Brooklyn in May and they would not let me cancel my membership unless I do it in person- a simple rule. Its 2017, and they required cancellation in person? A scam. Offered to cancel by fax or email- denied.Emailed multiple times without response. Now they tell me those emails addresses are only outgoing so they dont read them. However, nowhere in their email does it says do not reply or any warning whatsoever. They have collection agencies calling and wont cancel my membership unless I pay three months worth of fees to a gym I did not go and was actively trying to cancel it.Please do not support these bullies.

Its true what the other reviews say. They will not let you cancel your membership and that BUM Alex (the owner) is very unprofessional! The only way to cancel your membership with them is to cancel the card they charge and get a new one...EXTREMELY INCONVENIENT!!!

The gym was close to my home.I just didnt love how the gym was run, when I signed up they told me they would have JuiJitsu classes (and that they would be open months earlier) both of which were not true. But the gym was close to my house.I signed up online for a month to month membership and then waited for months for the gym to open, on my first day I said I am freelance and it is common for me to go out of town for a week, or month, or longer how hard is it to put a membership on hold, they told me that I couldnt put it on hold for a week but I could put a hold for a month it is no problem just let us know when. It will cost 25 dollars a month. That is somewhat inline with my other gym experiences (but at my old gym I could put it on hold for a as long as I want for 20 dollars.)About two months into my membership I injure my wrist (unrelated to the gym), I go in and put my membership on hold, I was annoyed because while doing that they tried to talk me into staying at the gym and exercise with a wrist that I just got an x-ray on... I didnt like that pushy mentality, training injured isnt good for anyone. When the month was about up I ended up taking a job out of the country for 2 plus weeks and that lead into my vacation and in the end I was gone all summer I sent emails to put me on hold for longer with no responses. I hoped I could clear it up once I got into town. During this time my credit card number was stolen and I changed out my card, because of this my monthly bill was not paid. This is the first time UFC gym reached out. I wrote to them I am out of town i asked you to put my membership on hold for longer instead you billed me for the month I was hoping to clear it up when I get back in the country but can you do something for me via email. I get no response but a week later the same email, this time I write a more strongly worded email and I get a response that I need to go into the gym.At this point I am annoyed because the gym has billed me for 2 months of which I havent used, they never called to check in on my injury or see why I havent attended they just reach out when billing goes bad. As someone who worked in a gym, I used to reach out to my customers, hey we want to see you in the gym, miss you etc are you okay do you need help at the facility etc etc. I am not asking to be babied I just hate the double standard. In the end I got to the gym in October I missed June (because of the injury), July, August, September. I spoke with the guy who runs the gym who is nice, but he didnt seem to really care about my problems. In the end I ended the membership. I will go to a real BJJ gym and just have to travel farther to get there. I was one of the first 10 people to sign up at the gym I hoped they would have a more community feel, I want them to succeed but I want them to put more care into the students there, trying to get people to work out injured, not checking in on someone who missed months is not a good precedent. I wanted the community I had at other gyms martial arts gyms or not but I didnt get that sense at all and didnt really love the gym.In the end they wanted to take me to collections for the 2 months I didnt pay, so in order to cancel my Month to Month I had to pay 100 dollars and he said he would wipe the 2 months (of the 4) I didnt use the gym off my credit due. I would fight it but honestly I will just wash my hands of it. If I want to cardio kickbox I will go to CKO, if I want to do BJJ I will go to RGFA.TLDR:They charged me for months I didnt use. They started finally to do BJJ classes (only nogi) but it is 3 days a week and only at 8pm. The hours arent reliable. When I was there there were multiple times teachers didnt show up in time for class. There is no parking in the lots nearby. The class selection isnt great. I also dont love the layout when you work out not during class time it is too quiet there.Pros:The gym is very clean. The equipment is brand new.The kickboxing classes will kick your ass. (in a good way)Cons:Everything I wrote above :)

All of classes with coach WADE BELFON are awesome. If you want to have motivating workout with elevating positive charge, you should definitely come to this classes if you want to see and feel real results. He is very helpful, knowledgeable and dedicated instructor. Always willing to share his knowledge regarding (diet, exercises, healthy lifestyle and etc.,). During workout hes guiding each and every member through the whole process and every week he invents new exercises. P.S. If you want to go 0 to 100 real quick book his private lessons.

I ve been a member for a little over a year now. I couldnt be more happy with this gym choice.I like that they have classes in the morning, afternoon and evening. Not like orher gyms with mostly evening classes.I go there 4-5 times a week and everytimeI leave drenched with sweat.Other things that keeps me there are: 1.all fittnes levels are welcome. 2. relaxed, nojudgement atmosphere.

It used to be a good place for kids but not anymore. I’m glad that the memberships of my kids ended. I also try to cancel my membership 4 months ago but they give s hard time with the process. I explained that I wanted to cancel because I don’t pay to exercise my kids I am paying for training but they don’t care. They don’t have any curriculum and they do the same everyday.
