UHS Primary Care - Binghamton in other cities:
I am a first time patient at UHS and the two times I’ve had an appointment with the providers there have both been very terrible. The first time I went, I was going through a difficult time with my mental health and the doctor I had didn’t care enough to access the situation. He brought in another doctor, who talk at me instead of listening to what I actually had to say and put my mental health at an even more compromised position. It wasn’t until I filed a complaint about the doctors behavior that they even apologized to me and even then they tried to make it seem las though it was a mutual misunderstanding when it was just them not taking me seriously as a patient. The second time, I was meant to have an on-call appointment since everything is remote now and when I called the provider to ask why I never received anything I was automatically met with attitude, despite me being polite and respectful when speaking. I even checked my call log and my voicemail before I even called the provider to make sure I didn’t miss anything and nothing was there. And when I didn’t want to reschedule due to her attitude she hung up with a VERY condescending note. I am never going back here again, as a black women, I am undermined a lot when it comes to my care and that often leads to more dangerous positions for me and I am NOT willing to put up with such recklessness from a freakin’ hospital.
If I could give no stars I would. Altif Muneeb, a RESIDENT in the primary care disregarded the entire reason I showed up and sent me to CPEP on an psychiatric hold. I simply wanted a med change but he was fixated on past mental illness things. I spent 14 hours in a ER waiting room to be seen by CPEP. CPEP is understaffed, overfilled, and abused. I will say this: Do not go to UHS for mental illness issues, they are not prepared and they dont listen to whats really wrong, they just throw you into the cogs of the machine and leave you to your devices. A terrible, terrible experience and one that is a common occurrence for those who have a mental illness and try to receive help here in Binghamton and choose UHS.
This is the first practice Ive ever visited since having to leave my pediatricians office, and I was really nervous about establishing with a new provider because of the great relationship I had with my previous NP. However, since I started seeing Catie, Ive felt very supported and listened to every time Im in the office. Whenever I need to come in for a visit or adjust an appointment the front staff is very helpful and good at getting me in as soon as theyre able. And I always feel like the intake personnel really want to make sure they know everything thats happening so I can get the most out of my visit. I have recommend several peers to this office and I am happy that I chose UHS.
Told me the swollen vein on my temple could possibly be GCA which can cause permanent blindness and even aortic dissection. Did blood work and said they were going to call me back with results and to schedule a biopsy because of the urgency of the potential situation. Never called me, so I called them. Provider was out someone else would get in touch with me. They still havent gotten back. Way to make the patient feel cared for! Do they even care that I could go blind or die? I guess not.
UHS Is one of the top best. Very warm and welcoming and causes one to feel theyre genuinely cared for. Thank you so much, UHS, because this year 2020 alone has been a long rough and tough year for everyone and you certainly make your patients and visitors feel like they are important. Thank You! Please keep up the good wood work.Best Regards,Happy 2021
Dont think the issues with my legs were addressed properly. Doctor was nice and straight forward, which I enjoy. However since my visit, my wounds have drastically become worse and some of my scars were left ignored in both my follow up visit and hospital stay, despite me constantly asking for nurses and Drs to please look at them when addressing my let wounds. Was told to give a day to hear back about home wound care visits then call office if no one called. Tried calling office after said wait time and was told someone would call back from office and never received a return call. Now I have no more dressings or any thing to treat wounds at home and still have 0 answer as to the at home visits.
Being only my second time going, I don’t have an assigned primary care doctor. The last time I went in just for a check up on my PHYSICAL health and my anxiety nothing other than that, the not so smart resident decided to say that even after seeing my health records detailing my mental health. She proceeded to tell me that after 8 years, that my diagnosis is wrong for my depression and said “You’re NOT depressed, you just have a little anxiety” and then goes to get another doctor just for them to prescribe me old anti-depressants that didn’t work the first time around.
I was told Id be seen at 10:30AM for vaccinations and the nurse was exactly on time. My appt said Id be there ten minutes and I was finished at 10:40AM. These people are very efficient with everything. Their online portal is top notch...user friendly. I had bloodwork done and the results were online within one and a half hours. I switched from Lourdes and am very happy I did.
I couldn’t be happier to have Scott Rosman as my primary care provider. He is knowledgeable, listened to everything I had a concern over and had several ways to help me feel better. If he wasn’t sure what exactly was wrong, he was willing to try different solutions to pin point the problem. I would recommend him to anyone.
Never a wait. Our primary care NP gives us ample quality time. We never feel rushed. All of our questions are answered and more. All needs met. Support staff is friendly and helpful beyond expectations. Pharmacy laison is also a gem. Scott Rosman and Meghan Adams are TOPS. Very glad we chose UHS Primary Care Binghamton.
I love my doc!! Hes always attentive! And never fails me! Everyone in that office is friendly and courteous! And eager to help or find the right help the patients need! I think Ive been with my physician over there for about 7 years now! And hope to heaven he never leaves!! Thank you wonderful doctors at Uhs!
Could not be more satisfied with the Care I receive at UHS PC.I have seen one doctor or an other every 4 -6 weeks for the last 20 years.I was Hesitant to change or replace any of The 3 Doctors that I have entrusted with my healthcare all those years while living in NJ.During the last 10 plus years while visiting or vacationing in Upstate NY I would always drive the 180 miles back to NJ when feeling Ill or for Dr Appointments.I am now planing a permanent move to NY with the confidence that I have found the right place to give the guidance needed for my multiple health issues. UHS Primary Care in Binghamton and the head of my new Medical team Scott Roman. Thanks Scott
I had a telephone appt with my GP. It went very well - I voiced my few concerns and he responded to them. He set up a blood work order and said I should make an appt for the end of 2020. We also talked about the effects of COVID and precautions that Im taking.I have a good relationship with my Dr and will hate it when he decides to retire!
First Time - Primary Doctor Visit with Thomas Gense - Attentive - Addressing the query of heart, vision, GI, healthcare plans and pain management discussion. Plenty of great vision on the health care team issues with attention to schedule referral to GI follow-up - answered with a scheduler at my arrival home. Fine Staff and very kind and user friendly help with UHS MyChart to expedite our review times today. Welcoming Family Setting with plenty of C19 concerns - grateful for the NECESSARY change from competitors wanting my dollars over my desires for wellness. Highly Recommend the Binghamton General Campus Teams! Five Stars!
I saw a resident at first and he was more interested in clicking boxes on a computer screen than listening to me evidenced by when he asked a question I tried to respond he cut me off and then listed the options I had to answer instead of listening and picking the appropriate choice himself. My primary reason to visit was a new problem to me though I’ve been dealing with it for 4 weeks prior to coming into this office. I did however see a different kind of dr who was kind enough to give me a game plan of basic self care to do at home so when I saw this primary care we wouldn’t have to start at square one. But when the resident started with options to move forward he negated everything the other doctor said and instead of starting at square one he wanted to back further than that and go back to the wait and see square zero. If you would like help with any issues that might take you to the doctor don’t go here. You won’t get help, you’ll only get frustration.
I was very pleased with Erica Hills office visit. She is very pleasant and was easy to talk to. Im not one to go to the Drs, but as im getting older I should have a good relationship with one. Looking forward to getting through my tests and starting a healthy life style.
I was seen with C/O hypertension. I’m already on four medications for hypertension. I felt very anxious. I worried the Doctor could not help. To my relief my doctor gave me a different medication that normalize my high blood pressure. I received prompt medical attention.
Difficult to get an appointment. When I got in I got an intern who clearly had no experience. I came in for a virus and was told that maybe you have started getting migraines and your first is lasting for two weeks. They eventually got a doctor and when he learned I had traveled foreign four months prior he said maybe you have malaria. It was a 4:00PM appointment and they said they couldnt run any tests because their lab was already closed but I could come back another day. After some debate they wrote an order for me to get a blood test across town that night where an infection was confirmed. Days later I received a call from the intern asking if I was better. When I said no he replied that he would have to consult with the Doctor and call me back. I never heard from them again. I would strongly urge people to avoid this location
Whoever answers your phones should be fired. You dont leave a patient on hold for over 10 minutes. You just dont. And when the patient hangs up and calls back agitated, you dont try to place them on hold again. You dont take a tone with them either. Or tell them what to do. Horrible customer service.
The NPs/MDs at this location are very knowledgeable and the office staff are accommodating. Im very thankful to have been able to stay with this office for the last 12 years. The established NPs are especially talented and personable. Im fortunate to have a Provider that I can say I feel genuinely cares about me as a patient and person.
My experience was good but secretary at desk was not nice she claims my appointment was for 9 am it wasnt it was 1120 am and here other problem no calls you to remind you of your appointment but Dr gennese was fantastic no problems with him he gets 5 stars rest of staff was generous giving three to should get none total desrespect for myself
I got on time to my appointment, but from the time I got in the room until I waited for the doctor I had to wait 43 minutes , the AC wasnt on , so I was pretty much cooking myself , it was after the resident Dr went for the Dr who finally turn the AC on,almost an hour after, I just wonder what would had happened if I was 43 minutes late?

2022-06-03Quick check in and fast service although when i was first called i had to step on the scale as does everyone else when you first go in to see the doctor and the scale is listed in kilograms and not pounds. i asked what is my weight in pounds and was told by the nurse checking me in that she really does not know? That made my mood rather sultry right off the bat. how hard is it to tell someone what they weigh in pounds when asked? i had to google it and figure it out for myself. although not a huge deal i do not get why i could not just be told what my weight is in pounds?

2021-01-13Well I made a review a month ago and now I take it all back. I had an appt today at 2pm. Showed up at 1. Waited 20 mins to get checked in and im still waiting and its 2:17. People are coming and going. They were coughing, not covering their mouth and mask not on properly. The staff were rude and insensitive to the fact that I dont want Covid. Why am I still waiting if 2 of the doctor thats seeing me patients didnt show up?? Wow terrible service. Im definitely looking into to going somewhere else for service cuz clearly mines dont matter. 2:19 pm still no doctor.

2022-05-17Dr. Jimenez has a wonderful “bed-side” manner and is very knowledgeable. He also knew my medical history before he walked into the examination room. He is a wonderful, skilled physician.

2022-03-16Good job overall by everyone involved. My only concern is my inability to schedule my next appointment 6 months out.i assume this is because there is little chance that my Dr. will still be there. Im trying to avoid having a different Dr. every year and that tends to be a trend. Its the very reason I stopped going to the Veterans Administration.

2022-01-21I was not happy with UHS Binghamton. I was hooked up with them after my Doctor retired. You dont see a doctor per se, you see residents and you wont see the same one at each visit. That does not sound like the Primary doctor I want to have. I would want the same doctor each time, being my Primary.
