The worst stuff in my life. I am a regular Ulta customer and have made a large order of many things. In the store, the consultants did not help and spoke rudely at the checkout. At home, I saw that I can’t find my serum. I bought, but they did not put it in the bag. Terrible careless attitude towards clients.
They didnt remove the security alarm from the peosuct I bought. So I was walking around Kings Plaza as if I were a third. When I came back to the store by myself, the staff told me thank you as if I stole it and came back to return it. They took my item and I had to show them the receipt that I actually bought the product. Horrible store.
Going to update my review! Nothing wrong with previous one! I just want to highlight Tiffany my hairstylist in Ulta! Shes a wonderful woman and has made my hair beautiful! I get asked constantly about my hair and my highlights! She did and does a wonderful job maintaining my hair! Kudos to her and all the staff at Ulta! Tha k you!Lizbeth
Hit or miss. I regular shop here, however I always do pick up orders for a reason. Some days the wait is minimal, other times Ive had to speak up. The clerks are usually very pleasant but it seems only managers can handle pick up orders. Makes no sense to me if the clerks have to go search for the manager each time. I havent been inconvenienced too much yet for me to rethink my shopping here but Id like a more seamless experience consistently.
I wont go into details; but I will say this, do not order anything online for store pickup. I will never return to this location. NEVER! Theres one young lady that was nice, & tried to be helpful, I think her name was Sophia, she was a manager. I went there on 11/12/20 around noon. She was the ONLY one who tried to make my experience there better. I had the worst experience at this location. The order I placed was buy one, get one 40% off. I didnt k ow the second part of my order wasnt available, until I went to the store to pick up my order. They used all the points I had, plus charged my card. Im waiting for my points to be returned to my account. Lets see how long that takes.
I had a great experience at this Ulta! The new manager Analise is amazing ! When I normally come to this location the service isn’t so great and the staff doesn’t offer to find an alternative product that is out of stock or even ask if you want to order it online . I never knew that Ulta provided such services ... The new manager is amazing and she is what kings plaza ulta needed !
I got pretty good customer service here for coming in late to closing. Someone asked me if I needed help and the woman checking me out was super patient when a gift card I had was being difficult. I usually order from Ulta online and have great service and most Ultas I’ve been too are organized and clean. But I had to come in to this location nearest to me to use the gift card. I had a short list of things I needed and I couldn’t find any of it and I just felt rushed from the closing intercom along with the store being so messy. I picked something close to what I came in for and the packaging (it was like a gift set) did seem sorta like it was opened but I examined everything when I got home and it was all sealed. But I noticed that the whole box was nearly 3 months expired (November 2020 and now it’s January 2021.) I just feel super disappointed because I still spent my money on this and the store didn’t throw it away, the person at checkout didn’t notice, or at the least no one moved it to clearance. If someone could recommend how to get this settled that would be amazing.
When I asked google retailers for a product, this beauty chain came up as carrier of such article, big disappointing surprise when visited the kings plaza location and they are not distributors, although is not their responsibility I was there following googles guidelines but didnt get anything. Thats why is only a 4 ⭐
I did an order online with store pick up if I sent my husband there would have been trouble. They only had 2 out of 4 items for my pick up which was weird. If I sent someone else for my pick up they wouldnt have noticed. I like their customer service no problem there and the store was neat. Pick up was fast.
Doesn’t stock items weekly or really at all. The security guard is rude and follows you through the store. Although I know he sees me purchase my items! Its very hard to find help from the associates because none of them are in the floor. Although there was this one lady that is so sweet and tries to make sure the customers get want they want. She has bleach blonde hair, I didn’t get her name but will update this post when I do!
Met my friend at Kings Plaza. Were both working professionals, homeowners... we stopped at Ulta in Kings Plaza so we can check out some lashes and makeup. I had a couple pairs of lashes in my hand and a large bottle of bubble bath and the security guard began following us around the store. He always remained within a few feet of us, trying to intimidate us and there were plenty other people shopping. I told the cashier and she waved it off saying he was new.
It seems as though they barely stock up the shelves. I went in last week to pick up something and they didnt have the shade I was looking for. I go back again this week and the selections were even more scarce than last time like they didnt even touch it (and ik this because it was the same shades I saw last time). I love this store and the staff is really friendly but I just wish theyd be more consistent with restocking their items.
I originally came to this location because I was searching for a cleansing product which I found. Thanks to the great associate Tia for assisting me I ended up purchasing a different product. I am in love with the deep cleanser so far; the wipes not so sure about. I gave three stars because the store is constantly out of products, its not organized, and they dont have enough associates to assist customers. I was waiting patiently to get help which I eventually did, but I waited about 10 to 15 minutes before receiving help from Tia.
I scheduled an appointment for formal makeup services at Ulta Beauty at King Plaza. Unlike Sephora where makeup services are free if you purchase $50 worth of products, Ulta Beauty charges a fee of $60 for formal make up services. For the cost, you expect a high level of skill and expertise. The service I received during this visit was amateur. The artist didn’t seem confident and was using the wrong tools to apply the make up. She didn’t know how to apply eyeliner or lashes (which is pretty standard for formal makeup application ). She went looking through the store for a colleague to apply my lashes. The gentleman who applied them also did an amateur job but I was required to pay an additional $10 for him to do it. I must say the woman who did my makeup was very sweet and seem to genuinely want to do a good job. However, I left completely dissatisfied.I think it’s important for Ulta Beauty to provide on-going training for their makeup artists (and maybe even stylists) . Maybe they should practice on each other or offer free services and samples to customer willing to be practiced on. There should be no reason why a paid make up artist does not know how to put lashes on someone or Eyeliner!Book Makeup Appointments At Your Own Risk!!!
First Id like to try and start off on a positive. Your customer service via telephone is the BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE IVE EVER RECEIVED IN MY LIFE! Sooooo polite, friendly, understanding, professional & helpful. A++++++++++++However, my experience in the Kings Plaza Brooklyn location was the complete opposite. I visited tonight 02/15/20 around 8/8:30pm. It was my first time ever in an Ulta & since I experienced such fantastic CS via phone, I was truly excited to shop in store. NEVER NEVER AGAIN! The store is disorganized, messy & a lot of items not in stock. There was NOT ONE peefume tester bottle with a single drop of perfume in it. There was only one young lady WORKING the floor. She had red hair and seemed very pleasent, but she was very busy with a customer. She was the only person doing there job with the exception of the security guard who tried his best to help me with the very little knowledge he had.Therr were 3 people at the register. All were too busy talking to even acknowledge anyone there. Now here is the best part. I saw a worker walking towards the register. My boyfriend told me to ask her for help. So I asked her, I have a question & was wondering if you can help me. She shook her head no and the said rudely I dont work here. I was embarrassed and told her Im so sorry, but then watched her walk behind the register & cackle with her other co-workers. Do you have any idea how embarrassed I was???So I could not test any of the perfumes, so I just chose one. When I was at the register I asked if there was another tester bottle. I used to work at Sephora & we would take out a new one whenever it was empty. The girl said no, thats a management thing. So I just went through with the purchase because the idea of coming back made me sick.I had a return that I wanted to apply and she said no because the return by date is 2/11. I took back my invoice and showed her the purchase date was 2/11 & the return by date is 4/11. If I didnt point that out she wouldve let me leave thinking that. She put it through & I paid the difference. Once I got home, I tested it & it stinks & im stuck with it because I never want to go back.I really hope someone speaks to the employees there because with the horrendous condition of the store, rude employees, lack of stock...this location will never stay in business.Sent from my Verizon, Samsung Galaxy smartphone
This review is not about the store but about the company in general - I got a credit card from Ulta hoping to start shopping there last year instead of Sephora and I bought $30 worth of merchandise and made a payment on time and they’ve been charging me every single month $35 dollars for late payments after paying in full - is a REAL SCAM - DO NOT OPEN A CREDIT CARD WITH ULTA THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY EVERY MONTH - THEY ARE A SCAM - the CC doesn’t have good customer service and they willKeep you waiting on the line and keep charging your card - everyone should be aware of it - HUGE MISTAKE TO SHOP IN ULTA - worst company - better shop in SEPHORA at the very least you get something for your money -
It’s horrible in there. I mean they carry good brands but the floor assistance is near impossible. I went in there to purchase to juvias palettes as well as a foundation and needed help finding my shade. I asked 3 separate staff members for help and they all said “hold on” I waited near 15 mins and walked out eventually. Poor management and unwilling staff. Get it together and treat your customers better!!
Great layout of selection of productsCustomer service is great, welcoming, and hilarious !!They lose a star for some products not being organized.But this visit was much better than my first visit when I wasnt acknowledged and I left immediately because I felt no one wanted to help me.
I wouldn’t frequent here. They didn’t have Julia’s Place, the brand I was looking for, which they do online. I was watched intensely by the security guard, and acknowledge by none of the not-so-busy associates...After taking my finale walk through to make sure I didn’t miss any sections, the security then approaches me and ask if I’m doing okay...Which is basically loss prevention speak for “are you stealing?” Cuz he didn’t say one word to me the entire time until I was about to leave...AND HE’S SECURITY, not even an associate. They did have some nice makeup, but I really wasn’t feeling the vibe. I’ll stick to NYX and online shopping.
Been there 3 times,kings plaza Ulta,each time we went,no floor service when you need help. I had to look for a manager and let her know how long we have been looking for a floor sales person to help us with questions but not one was in sight. She seemed uninterested. We let her know,if the manager is not on top of her sales people,the place will fail in business. She seemed totally unconcerned nor cared what we had to say. We went back twice after a month and still not a sales person on sight to help us. The third time we finally got someone and she was horribly rude. Thats it! Three strikes and we are out of there! Never, ever,ever again will we go there again! Back to our comfort zone fav,Saphorah.
I went to Ulta with my girlfriend. She ask if I would like a cologne, so I said sure. I walk over to the mens cologne section. I mean immediately after the security guard was so close to me as if we were together and just stood there. As I moved she moved. She asked me what Im look for, clearly Im in the cologne section so what do you think. It just made me feel classified as a thief or something. I really didnt appreciate it. I didnt even want to purchase anything after that. I just wanted to leave the store.
Average rating and here’s why.The staff there is very nice however they are sort of clueless as to what things are where. I called about an hour before to ask if they had something I wanted in stock (one lady said no and when I asked if she was sure, she transferred me and the other lady said they had 11). Then when I went to the store they only had one left and didn’t offer to look in the back. I took the last one even though the packaging was damaged. Small store which is probably why they don’t have a lot of things but since it’s a mall I feel they should have more stock.
Called 2 weeks in advance to get makeup done for a wedding! Got a text to confirm I confirmed my appointments and the day of an HOUR before we were supposed to be there I get a call that they have to cancel.. very unreliable 🤷🏻♀️👎🏼 Leaving the two people I made the appointment for rushing to find someone available last minute
Hey guys🖐 I like to go there because the staff is very nice .Except today! I had a very bad experience with the security women ! I was smelling some perfume for my grandma and the security women was looking at me And following me!... I was with my mom and sister. Was very uncomfortable 😣.. l understand thats her job but she was following us everywhere and i dont like that .. bad experience! that happend today August 3 2019 morning time !
Gorgeous layout. Easy to find things and downright awesome customer service. Very cordial, friendly and honest. They truly make the experience from a clients perspective enjoyable and intriguing. Will definitely look forward to the time that I have to head back in there to find something. Thank you for all your help!
I rarely shop here and was highly upset that I wasted my time driving to this store for a pick-up just to be greeted with closed doors and two employees shaking their head while indicating that they were closed. So why not update the store hours online? Is that so much of a task and a challenge to have customers drive all the way out to see a piece of paper on the window with the new store hours? If you close at 7 pm from Monday through Saturday and 6 pm on Sunday instead of 9:30 pm, display it on the website and on Google!I understand that it’s Due to Covid, but take into consideration that your customers should be informed of the changes if they can’t view the update in person. Just saying. It’s called communication and should be presented on all platforms, not just the store front window.As you can see, this is the only Ulta store that shows as being open still.
So, I purchased this cream for wrinkles at forehead. I waited one of the employee for 15 minutes. She helped me about choosing and she showed me this is the strongest one that they had so I got it from her hand. But I didn’t give much attention to it so I purchased but when I went to my home. I open the pack and when I saw it the box was opened before and it didn’t sealed. I think they gave me one of the model of example one at the shop. I am disappointed because They gave me the used one. Because I checked unboxing in YouTube and new one is totally different. It has a caps and box is sealed in new one. So be careful while you purchasing something from there. Check the box if it’s opened or not.
I came in to get a lipstick that I couldnt find elsewhere and wound up also getting eyelashes applied for my birthday. While there were tons of salespeople, it was hard to get someone to commit to doing my eyelashes for about 15 minutes which was bizarre as they seemed to be playing not it. I was pleased with the eventual lash application.
Went to Ulta to get new items for a upcoming vacation. I was in the store trying to find my correct foundation color. No staff to help! the security guard came over pretending to fix products and kept watching me. I felt so uncomfortable, I left a few mins later. Ordered online from Sephora.
I like Ulta stores but this one is terrible. You can hardly find anyone to get some help or ask a question. Many things are in mess. They have five cashiers but only one works. There were three people in line including me and it took the stuff ages to serve them cause instead of serving their customers, they talked and had some jokes
Bad service they not helpful at all and the security guard very rude . They need better service and need to keep the nail polish section neat because its always a mess when i go there and there never nothing i want in stock when the instore availability says in stock.
Always so amazing..got most of the known professional brands. But If ulta dont got a certain brand makeup product..u can run to sephora inside the jc penny and they will take care of the rest. yes,ur welcome! But overall..ulta is my go to spot for getting anything makeup related and I love going back to this place to have ME TIME. Not only u can get makeup related things,but hair ,nails,skin related everything can be bought here as well.. love this place..highly recommended .do visit..and u wont be disappointed💕💕
I got a full head of highlights $150 I was told from the secretary that she was a master colorist it turned out I was lied to from the secretary. My hair is a disaster they literally had no idea what they were doing ,found out she had only done it one time .I was planning to go out tomorrow for my birthday but my hair is so bad now I dont even want to go now.NEVER Again will I trust someone
Wow this hair salon is a joke ! I just wanted my hair to be all one color but instead I got blonde , black and brown all over my hair I dont even know how the hell that happened and I paid 150$ with a discount ! Please hire ppl who are very trained ! Do not go here for color jobs

2022-01-22The floor staff is really the most helpful and knowledgeable and so sweet, but the cashiers not so much. I went in, got help getting some stuff and after I paid I forgot them at the register, I called and they said they dont see my things they didnt even check the cameras. I called my other stop that day, they said come down and check the cameras, I went and check, nothing was amiss, so I rushed back to Ulta but they were closing. The security was giving me attitude and they did nothing to help. Went back the next day to get the stuff back and asked for help finding them again and ended up telling the woman about the previous day and she went and checked the cameras and saw that I did leave them at the register and the cashier left them and someone else took them up and put them back in the shelf 😕. Thank goodness for that sweet woman who did me the courtesy of simply checking the cameras, the other sweetheart who helped me get the right products the day before.

2022-04-29I am giving this Ulta Beauty location five stars for beauty service and sometimes I would get help on days I would go into the location. On this day, Friday, April 29, 2022, I purchase two items and looked inside my bag to see if I had two items purchased except the one that was $28.00.So, answer this when a cashier exaggerates you misplace the purchased item. Its hilarious 😏 😆.

2022-04-21I needed eyeliner and decided to get some here. Big mistake. The sealed product was completely dried out and missing its cap. Obviously someone switched it out. At least I can return with no problem, however if the employees actually cleaned up all the make up and kept it clean and tidy with actual product on the shelves (they never have) this wouldnt be an issue. On the plus side the employees were friendly.

2019-09-28Nice layout of the store but I was very disappointed with the assistance I did not recieve. As I entered the store there was about 6 employees in the front, 2 makeup artists (Im assuming) to the left, 2 other employees in smocks standing in the center of the entrance, 1 at the register doing a checkout and 1 at the end of the cashier desk. I wasnt greeted by anyone but I did get to enjoy the pumping music that was playing, I asked a makeup artist did they sell a hair product line and was immediately told no. She then retracted and I was told today ask another makeup artist. I approached, asked and was told no again, then was told to ask another employee at the register with more knowledge. I turned, approached asked again and was told no, uhm maybeand was directed to a 4th employee at the end of the register desk. Still unsure she directed me to the back of the store to hair products where I was left to roam and find it myself. Stumbling upon a 5th employee, a stylist. I was directed to the second isle of textured hair care where the shelves did have the product line but not what I previously found on the internet of their website.Dear Ulta,You need to have a more knowledgable staff whos people friendly, that greets, assist and smile. Just a thought.SincerelyA Disappointed Stylist 😞OMG! I read several reviews and they say the staff is unknowledgeable, unprofessional unhelpful and so much more...

2022-03-14TRASH!! The absolute worst Ulta that I’ve ever been to. Every now and again when I’m in kp I go into this store (on a whim), and I’m disappointed EVERY-TIME. Idk why I keep going. It’s clear that I haven’t learned my lesson yet.Let me also shed light on the fact that they NEVER restock their products. This franchise is always dirty, disorganized, and EMPTY!! Do better!

2020-03-14Berlynda was AMAZING!!! I was in desperate need of makeup assistance and she came thru like a champ! She walked me thru every product and had excellent knowledge about makeup application (why wouldnt she seeing as shes a MUA). I was at a total loss going in but she made me totally at ease and was beyond pstient with all my questions. Ulta better keep her around! Thank you Berlynda!!!

2022-01-02WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. I love shopping at Ulta but this store specifically have the worst customer service ever. They do not welcome the customers and cashier was extremely rude and had attitude. Security guard was nice tho, I didn’t ask but he asked if I needed any help and helped anyways
