I don’t like writing reviews but had to give warning about this place. This place is a complete joke, do not waste your time coming here if you’re a healthcare worker and expect them to honor priority testing. As a nurse I at least expected to honor testing priority but not only do they not honor it, they couldn’t even test me even though I waited in line because they were closing soon.
I have been a patient at this urgent care for more than five years. They have always been extremely caring, efficient, and reasonable. I have seen them handle many things from absolutely crazy patients to regular visitors and now Covid cases. I have referred multiple friends to this location and they have all have good experiences. I will keep going here because they have only treated me like I was a family member. Keep up the good work.
They charge for the rapid test when insurance should cover. In addition, the rapid test wasn’t properly administered. They barley put into your noise. It took two hours to get the results . I had to call three time . I believe it to be a money scam. The pcr test also wasn’t done correctly. The girl once again barley put into my noise and pulled it out quickly .. didn’t wait a second . I took enough test to know it was not done properly. Failure to administer properly can cost the lives of many people. This place should be under investigation. It was once a good place . Now it became a money scam.
I went there to test for a flight this week. They charge $120 for fast antigen test. They were not upfront about the cost of it when I called. They said that it was free even if you dont have insurance but when I got there, they were charging people without insurance a hefty price. Theyre privately owned so make sure you have a decent insurance otherwise you will have to pay after waiting on the line to take the test.
I got cold last Saturdays so I went to this Urgent care place to get tested. I took both Rapid and PCR test. The rapid test came back in about 40 minutes which is very good. However, until now I still have not get the PCR test result which is over 7 days but a lot other place can have the result in about 24 hours. If anyone do need a test, you should go somewhere else.
Flu season is back so of course I got sick. I came here for the first time and the receptionists Kristin and Ashley were so friendly. They were kind to give me thorough explanations and help me with any questions I had. I also recommended my dad to come here. Thankfully, Kristin and Ashley were bilingual and helped him. I will definitely be coming here from now on!
Went to UMD NORTHERN URGENT CARE for a Covid test for a friend in order to make a flight the very next day. Location was fairly convenient; along with their office hours. Daniel answered the phone prior to my arrival confirming their services and answering my questions on pricing/insurance information. The office is clean, well maintained and has friendly and knowledgeable staff. I would recommend.
IRRESPONSIBLE. I came in for a Covid PCR Test 8 days ago. They still have not provided me with the result. When I checked with them several times, they kept telling me that they had no control of it and blamed it on the lab. They did not offer to take responsibility to trace for the report. It is very irresponsible and frustrating. I went in for another PCR test at a different place 2 days after I took this test. I got my result in 2 days. But UMD Northern Urgent Care, WHERE IS MY LAB REPORT?
MAKE SURE TO BE CAREFUL WITH THIS FRAUD PLACE IF YOU DONT HAVE INSURANCE!!!!I heard a lot of my friends or my relatives told me that they charged too much especially for COVID test. I would say all these prices matters comes from an owner who is a middle aged korean guy but does not speak or little understanding of korean language, is having an certain problems toward money with patients. NOT just covid test prices, but seen with other medical issues to make money out of patients especially who does not have insurance. I heard most of koreans including my relative and friend who does not really give me a good feedbeck about this place but keep heard about overcharging.
Rating is solely from my experience with covid exams where they make things relatively straightforward and the waiting time is not too long. convenient place to get Covid exams, less of a wait than CityMD. PCR exams are free , rapid tests cost $20.for reference, if you are looking for your PCR results, go to bioreference.com which is where they record lab results
UPDATE 08/24/2021: My mom got retested (same RT-PCR test) at a local pharmacy because she had absolutely no symptoms and we felt uneasy about the previous sample sitting in the lab for 5 days before it was run. We got the results within 24 hours the second time around and it turned out negative. If youre looking to get tested for travel, Id advise you to avoid this place and just stop by your local pharmacy. If youre in the same area and it helps, we went to MJ88 Pharmacy and the sample was sent to ProPhase Diagnostics.08/23/2021 PSA: There are plenty of other pharmacies and facilities offering COVID PCR testing that do not take extra money to have your results in within 2 days. This place offers rapid PCR testing with results available in an hour, but it costs $200 with insurance and $300 without. OK, so theyre offering people who need results quickly with an option to spend $$ on what they need. Whats wrong with that?? They are compromising the timeline of all other patients who arent paying the extra money for their results. My parents were told that just with insurance, they would get their results in 2 to up 4 days because their facility is busy. Did we get our result in the 4 days? No. We got them 6 days later and the difference in date of collection to date of report was 5 days, meaning the sample sat in the BioReference lab for 5 days before it was tested. THEN my mom turns out to be positive, and the attitude of the doctor who called... HE sounded so frustrated with US. He did not waste one breath for questions and hung up on me after telling us to quarantine. Not a single question about how shes feeling.Shouldnt you redirect these patients to other urgent cares or pharmacies where they could have gotten their results faster? If I had heard one apologetic sentence about the situation, I would not be posting this.
Terrible customer service. I was told last patient to be seen must arrive by 8:20. I arrived before 8:20 but Physician Assistant (no doctor present) refused to see my son who had suffered a laceration. Had to find an alternate urgent care. Staff was a bunch of kids. Avoid.
Best urgent care ever Dr Ko is an amazing human being whilst also being a compassionate doctor and so are his coworkers Dr Zhang and Dr Lee despite being in a seemingly never ending pandemic this place has provided nothing but exceptional medical care and beyond :) All the young medical assistants and nurses working there are also very ambitious :)
Went to this urgent care, I was told the wait time was 40mins. Took down all my info and said they will call me when the doctor is ready to see me. I waited in the car and after an hour, no calls nothing so I went in to check and the receptionist says, she called me so many times and when I said nobody called me. My phone did not ring once. Then she went on saying they lost the the paper where they took down my information. They tried to cross check my phone which they had in their system and it was the correct one. When in fact, they never called me yet, they kept saying it must have gone to the spam. Didn’t even apologize. Unprofessional and unreliable. Also, Dr. Jennings has a very bad attitude. My first visit there a couple weeks ago was very pleasant, the Doctor there then was very pleasant unlike Doctor Jennings. He wouldn’t answer all my questions and walked out before he was even done with me. Then I ll had to keep asking the nurse questions and she had to walk out twice to get answers to my questions. This Doctor is definitely not professional in a work place where I assume professionalism is important. Over all, my experience with them was very bad. If I could, I would give 0 stars!
I have to call out the lack of empathy from the doctor at this place. The posted hour of this urgent care is 9 pm close. We drive all the way there at 8:15pm to treat a sudden abdominal pain and was told that they stop accepting patients at 8pm. There is no line and only 2 people in the waiting area. After I told them that this is rather urgent and the patient is in extreme abdominal pain. The doctor refused to check despite being right there. We ended driving another 20 mins to an urgent care in great neck that truly closes at 9pm and turned out to be a kidney stone.I think the refusal the treat patient within posted business hour is being borderline unethical. The patient had to suffer unnecessary pain and the situation could ended up worse.
I can’t write a review about the other regular doctors/staff there but let me tell you about a Dr. Jennings. My friend went in to urgent care well because she needed urgent care. I don’t know what Dr. Jennings ate that day or what he experienced earlier in the day or in his life, but that does not justify his condescending attitude towards patients. NOT everyone has an MD after their name, NOT everyone KNOWS what to do in certain situations BUT patients do HOPE to receive respectable treatment and advice from their DOCTOR.Northern Urgent Care - please train your DOCTORS to have just a little bit more compassion in their care.As for reference to Dr. Jennings, if you’re reading this, here’s a little reminder of the Hippocratic Oath you once said,“I will remember that there is art to medicine as well as science, and that warmth, sympathy, and understanding may outweigh the surgeons knife or the chemists drug... If I do not violate this oath, may I enjoy life and art, respected while I live and remembered with affection thereafter. May I always act so as to preserve the finest traditions of my calling and may I long experience the joy of healing those who seek my help.”You did not give my friend joy during the visit. You gave her anxiety, fear and disrespect. Even kindergarteners know how to soothe a person in pain, please learn.
I usually go to the Auburndale CityMD for COVID-19 testing. I went there today at 10:30am thinking it was a good time... the before work people would have already went and the after work people would not have arrived yet. I was SO wrong... when I arrived at 10:30am, they told me that they stopped accepting people in line at 9:45am!!! He told me the best bet was to come back at 6am to start waiting in line for them to open. I dont have time for all that as I had already taken a half day of work today to get this test. I have to go visit my family on Thursday and was desperate for a rapid COVID-19 test. I remembered passing by UMD Northern Urgent Care many times, but never considered it as an option because I was just comfortable with my regular CityMD. I decided to give it a try and waited in line for about 1.5 hours (not bad, considering the CityMD line was 2.5 hours before Thanksgiving). I was a little upset that the rapid test was $50, although the cost of the visit itself was covered by my insurance (the regular test is free there, FYI...but I needed the results ASAP) . The rapid test at CityMD is free - but it seems to be unattainable, unless you have all day to sit and wait in line. They gave me both a rapid test and a regular test. I will say I was SO IMPRESSED by the staff here. They were overly accommodating and SO friendly, it made me not mind the $50 cost for the rapid test. The place was also very clean. I was called about an hour later with my results. I will keep this place in mind in the future when CityMD decides to ruin my life again.
THEY CHARGE YOU $20 FOR PCR EVEN IF YOU HAVE INSURANCE. THEY GIVE YOU FALSE POSITIVES EVEN ON YOUR PCR. THEY ARE THE BIGGEST SCHEEEEMERS. DO NOT. GO. HERE. WAIT 2 HOURS IN LINE AT AN ACTUAL URGENT CARE. THEY ALSO HAVE THE WORST CARE. COULDNT ANSWER ANY OF MY QUESTIONS. HAD TO GO TO ANOTHER URGENT CARE TO GET RETESTED AND GET INFORMATION. WASTED MY TIME.
This was my second visit here, this time around I needed sutures removed as my primary was not working in the office this week. There was virtually no wait time, the facility was very clean and the entire staff was very friendly including Betty who made sure I was in good condition before I left! Thank you guys for your help and keep up the excellent work!
DR. KO IS THE BEST. DOCTOR. EVER. I have been going to this urgent care for a few years now because I wanted to see Dr. Ko and I cannot say enough about what a great doctor he is. He first treated me at the Williamsburg office when I needed to get stitches (unfortunate Thanksgiving avocado incident) and was so calm kind and informative during the process that by the time I was actually getting the stitches I was calm and even making a few jokes with the nurse after being a hysterical wreck just moments before. Since then I have also brought my husband and children to be seen and have visited the Flushing office a few times as well. The doctor is not always the same but it seems like all their staff is incredibly fast and efficient. This review is mainly for my elderly mother though who I was able to convince to go see Dr. Ko even though she never goes to doctors because she does not speak English. We went to see him for recurring joint pain but during the visit he noticed a small mark on my mothers wrist which she had been dismissing as another age spot. He emphasized that while it may be nothing he highly recommended we see a specialist and even went so far as to find my mother several specialists he knew and who could also speak Korean. THANK YOU SO MUCH DR. KO FOR MAKING US GO because the spot turned out to be the earliest form of skin cancer that even our specialists kept saying would have been very easy to miss. Because Dr. Ko caught it so early though I am overjoyed to say that as of last week my mother is well and completely cancer free!!!!!!! (Also thank you Dr. Ko for continuing to follow up with us during my mothers treatment.) I am forever thankful for my stitches now for leading me and my family to the best doctor in the world.
I came here scared because I was experiencing shortness of breath and my heart was pounding. I was told I can wait if Id like but I was reminded theyre closing in 20 minutes. I chose to wait because my chest hurts and I was scared, less than two minutes later I was told to go to the ER for shortness of breath. I wasnt asked any questions. I havent been exposed to COVID as this was the first time Ive left home only out of desperation. I also suffer from anxiety/panic attacks so I wasnt sure if it was just that but they wouldnt know that because they asked zero questions. I was turned away and was not even seen. I was just turned away to leave without any care or concern at all. This is a medical facility and Its just unacceptable. The receptionist was nice about it but thats not a good way to treat patients. I wasnt even given the time of day. Its horrible to just send someone away that came for help, most likely because its 20 minutes away from closing time.To be perfectly clear. It wasnt being turned away and sent to the ER that earned this review. It was the lack of care and concern prior to being dismissed and sent away.
The doctors and staff here are always very helpful and friendly. I’ve been in to this clinic a handful of times and always have been properly diagnosed, informed and given all options for treatment. Definitely a good place to go if you’re in need of urgent or walk-in care.
First time at any Urgent Care center and this one was a good choice. Clean, comfortable and very professional. The wait time was minimal. Front desk staff was very helpful. Nurse and doctor were both very good. I was in and out in less then an hour. Prescription was sent electronically to pharmacy so as soon as I left to get it is was ready. Would definitely recommend. Did not know they had to level under ground parking behind building this time but will use if I need to go back. Highly recommnend.
I waited in that long line outside for a rapid covid test for over 2 hours. I had a fever so I was freezing cold and I could barely feel my legs. I get inside and they had a friend walk in and immediately took him first. When I got my covid test, I explained to the nurse that it hurt me very badly before I got the swab and he swabbed it for an unimaginably long time in which I could not breathe afterward. Horrible experience overall.
This is my usual go to spot when I’m not feeling 100%. It’s really quick and usually no wait. Absolutely great service and I love that they speak Korean! My entire family lives all around queens and Long Island and still make an effort to come here also because of that.
WARNING!!! They do NOT take all insurance! My mom is 75 years old and has been throwing up for 4 days so I took her here, when they said I have to pay full price for visit and anything else they do what can I do? I had to stay! They also want the money upfront so no installment payments. My mom means the wold to me so I had to stay. The nurse saw us right away but the doctor didnt come in until an hour after the nurse. Then she belittle my mother for coming in JUST for throwing up. She wasnt going to examine her but FINALLY when my mom said something she just checked her back poked her belly and said she can give IV but that would be another $125. We said no and she gave us a prescription for something insurance doesnt cover. They probably treat you better if your Asian. If youre not Asian dont come here, go somewhere else! Dont say I didnt warn you!
Worst place I just called them ask if they took X ray they said yes I ask can I come no said yes. I got there with in five minutes at 7:30 they close at 9:00 when I got there they said that they are not taking anymore people I said I just called and they said to me to come they said yeah the Doctor said so if I could give 0 star I would
Very good people, from the front reception desk to the Doctors. They are all friendly since then until now. The first visit was when my husband got poison ivy, which we had no idea what was it. Dr. Kho is really very expert. After this, we started to bring every member of my family whenever we get sick. Very short wait and they answered all your questions. They have new Doctors now but they are all good. The place is also very clean. I recommend this place. Also, there is a pharmacy right next door, so we pick up our medication right after we have seen the Doctor. Very convenient too!
The experience was somewhat decent, but it was the follow up call that made me write this review. Whoever I just spoke to was extremely condescending when I was telling them that the medicine I was prescribed was giving me awful side effects. They said that Tamiflu doesn’t give any side effects, but a simple google search proves them wrong. If they don’t know something as simple as this, doesn’t give me confidence in anything else they can provide. So, if you ask me if I’m ever coming back here, it’ll be a simple “no.”
I was in and out in literally 35 min! It was such an amazing experience. Had a piece of glass stuck in the bottom of my foot. Doctor removed it and it was PAINLESS. Everyone was soooo kind. The office is really clean and nice as well. There was NO wait. I was literally the only one there.
I was very sick and were keep coughing on and on with losing voice for a month. Before I go to urgent care I called my doctor to see if I could see her first but the receptionist told me to go emergency room.I decided to go to northern urgent care after hearing from a friend that this place you dont need to make an appointment and just walk in.The receptionist was very helpful and everything but the doctor I seen that day was named DR. ZhangI been to this location 3 times! And all that three time I went was because I was keep having the same symptoms which it got worser!First of all I dont have any problem breathing! But they prescribed me an inhaler! Allergy medicine. They prescribed me all these medicine.I asked my doctor if I needed to take these medicine which they gave me from urgent care and she was like if you dont have asthma dont need to take the inhaler. She said stop taking all the medicine that they prescribed me.The doctor zhang I dont think he knows whats hes doing. Very disappointment with that doctor! I would not recommend this place to anyone nor stop by again due to bad experience with them.
Terrible service. Visited this location three times for the same symptoms. After the first visit, I went to this location complaining of the same issues. The doctor insisted it was allergies although I had taken a full allergy test which showed I was not allergic to anything. I explained this to the doctor which he did not listen and still proscribed me claritin. Upon leaving and paying for my visit I asked the front desk if my symptoms did not clear up and I needed a third visit if I would be charged. They insisted that if I came back within a week with the same issues the visit would be free. After 1 week and no change at all, I returned only to be referred to an ENT specialist instead. As I was leaving I was told I had to pay. I then explained the situation and after looking at the records they waived my visit. That is until I got a bill in the mail for the visit.I called their billing department which claims they dont really care about the situation and that essentially instead of waiving the charge the staff commented that I refused to pay which is 100% untrue. The bill amount was not the issue, the issue is the doctors in this location did not do their job and the staff was highly unprofessional. I would not trust this location and suggest anyone in the area to go to another Urgent care.
I was pleased to go to this urgent care center. I had an HMO out of state which would only cover urgent care center and ER visits, so I was skeptical, expecting to wait hours on end to see a mediocre doctor. This was very much to the contrary, however. Dr. Ko and his staff were very professional and treated me with the utmost respect. I was not just another number, to an office that is more akin to a deli and a doctor that is more like a butcher. Dr. Ko dispelled all of my fears, as I was having chest pains when I ate or drank anything. He ran tests and showed me that there were no obstructions. I felt confident that I was going to be okay when I left, and after only 4 days of prescribed medicine I feel great. I recommend this urgent care center and Dr. Ko and his staff.
Terrible. First, they would not allow my husband in the exam room after I stated twice we were married and I wanted him there.Second, their communication is the absolute worst Ive ever received from a medical professional in my life.I had an infection of some sort in two areas of my body, which occurred simultaneously. They flat-out told me they were unrelated before testing. Also, I say some sort, because to this day I have no idea what they were. The only information I got was that the tests were negative. What did they test for? The person who called doesnt have that information. Whats wrong, then? Nothings wrong, the tests are negative.I had the most painful rash of my life, and they told me I was healthy and nothing was wrong! They wouldnt even tell me what they were testing for!I think they got it in their head I had an STI and only bothered to test for those.
The doctor checked my foot saying it’s ok but I should take meds. After getting to the pharmacy and waiting for half an hour there was nothing and so they contacted the doctor and the UMC said they needed the doctor to sign.I waited Another hour and I called the doctor saying I was waiting for too long, then the doctor said I didn’t need any medsThis is a time wasting doctor and I don’t want to contact this doctor ever again
This place is not really where you want to go.. they test people for covid with test that aren’t actual test. Three people called with 3 different results. Go to City MD.. when I tried talking to the manger they just kept putting me on hold.. I am calling 311 and reporting them..
HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!! Ran a bunch of unnecessary test which didnt have anything to due with my reason to visit. I WAITED 1 and HALF WEEKS FOR RESULTS AND NOTHING. I CALLED AND LEFT A MESSAGE INFORMING THE CLINIC THAT AFTER VISITING, even while taking the pills prescribed, which by the way I wasnt properly explained what this pill was for, I WAS FEELING WORSE. 3 days passed and I received no call back.Other than that, staff is very friendly and site is very clean.
The worst went there when my husband as sick and he needed a prescription. They said to go across the street to rite aide and it will be there well it never was> I waited an hr but in the meantime I went back to them and ofcourse they were closed. They never sent in the perscription
In all honesty I liked going here because they always took care of my symptoms or whatever pain I had I haven’t been here in 2 years but now they are just really bad also the receptionist was very rude with a bad attitude instead of talking to me like a regular person he rather stare at the computer screen the doctor only assumed my symptoms and said all I need is cough syrup which didn’t do much only made my symptoms worse so I actually went to my primary care doctor who gave me anti biotics and now I feel better but I don’t think I’ll be going back here again I’m really disappointed with the doctor that I saw (also I called the pharmacy they told me they never received anything from them so I couldn’t get the cough syrup even if i wanted to)
I waited over 2 hours on a cold day to get a Covid19 test. Of course, I thought it would be free, but here you have to pay $100 for each test if you dont have insurance, and about $20 if you dont fully cover it. On the other hand, in CITY MD, everything is free, so choose where you want to go at your own discretion. If you want to know exactly how much your insurance card covers, we recommend that you call ahead of time.
After waiting for 4 hours, the whole family got a Covid test. Its been a week now. No contact, no phone calls. All the money is covered by insurance. Only people who write good reviews leave comments. Many people are still waiting. What do you do when you check ? It doesnt even tell you the result...
Three days ago, it was stinging under my eyes and I thought it was dust or hair. The next day, there were two marks on the cheekbones under the eyes like mosquito bites. But the next day, one way from behind the eyes and ears to the bottom of the neck? I came here early in the morning thinking something was wrong with my lymph nodes.I thought I would have to wait a long time because of the covid, but I went in right away and was able to meet the doctor. Diagnosis was shingles… He gave me a prescription and told me that I had to go to the ophthalmologist as an emergency. Because shingles came into my eyes and I didn’t see it quickly to an ophthalmologist, I would have a problem with my eyesight. Usually ophthalmologists are booked, so he introduced me to an ophthalmologist who received Walkin and wrote a referral. Thanks to you, I went to the ophthalmologist to check my eyesight, get a prescription, and now I am taking medicine and resting.
A few weeks ago, my family did a fast antigen test here to fly to Europe two days later. They didn’t tell them the use at the time, only that they were referred by the doctor. The result was positive. The family had booked a flight ticket and hotel, and could not sleep all night as soon as the result was received. I went to City MD for a test the next morning, and the result was negative. During his stay in Europe, his family members kept receiving phone calls asking him to test, and some people sent letters to the door for the family to test. The family came back ten days later and had an antibody test. The antibody was very strong. Is this test result credible? Also leaked the patients information, it was terrible 😱
I smelled from my nose and my migraine head came to the hospital, and a young Chinese doctor said it was the early days of herpes zoster, and gave me a prescription. There was no progress in taking the medicine, so I could not sleep for 2 weeks. I went to a different hospital, but I felt like sinusitis. I took a shot and I took it with Ringer, and I went to the hospital for a recommendation of otolaryngology. Stay straight!
Never go here. Aunt at the reception diagnoses the patient and the PA signs the prescription. So its over. So, the employee complained, saying that the lady is there... Go to the doctor at the reception Do you go to get a diagnosis? If you were in a hospital in the building, you felt like you would have surgery haha And yesterday care didnt have both MD and DO on Tuesday. There was only PA. Why do I have to go to Agenda Care? Amazing

2022-01-10$20 rapid testing and free PCR if you have insurance. But I dont recommend going this urgent care to get tested. No social distancing and you couldve caught Covid just standing there on line. Yesterday there were two parents and 3 kids coughing right next to us with no masks. I said something and left because they could’ve got us sick. I went back today and waited an hour before we finally got in. Once you get in there are 6 people limit inside but there is no order of who got in first so everyone fights to sign the sheet. Needs to be more organized especially when everyone is trying to test to see if they have Covid.

2021-12-22The staffs were nice, but….I went to get my PCR test on 12/17. They told me the result will come back in 2 to 4 days. I signed in to my patient portal everyday to find out the test result, and it shows nothing. On the fourth day I finally called the lab (Bioreference) to ask if there’s something wrong with my account, because I can’t seem to find my test result. Then the rep told me they just received my sample that day (12/20), which means it takes almost a week for me to get my PCR result, NOT 2-4 days!!!!!! I would have gotten covid in that seven days of waiting period. Coming here was completely a waste of time.My friends who went to GoHealth got their free PCR test result next day. Go there, not UMD.

2022-02-07I went couple of times due to other medical reasons than COVID-19. And all those times, the doctors were very quick and kindly answered any questions I had.One thing about this place is that they charge for COVID-19 test. So I went in for other urgent reasons.Everyone is very friendly and nice at the urgent care except for this old lady who has short permed hair. 2 stars off because she catches attitude and quickly becomes hostile when youre asking simple questions. All I asked her was if I have to wait on the same line as COVID-19 test line for something else. Maybe shes experienced some difficult patients, but she sure needs to know how to handle situations better. Everyone visiting there is sick and nobody is there to argue with you lady. Have some patience for your patients.

2022-02-03My family and I are really thankful for Dr. Zhang, Jay, Tae, Grace and another physician assistants help during a late night urgent care visit last week in late January. My father injured his hand severely one night and we arrived shortly before 9pm, before closing. Despite the late hour and the severity of the injury, the entire team stayed late to help him. Dr. Zhang and his team were incredibly patient and caring with my father who is a senior citizen and was probably in a bit of shock that evening. We found out after the visit that although they could have sent him to the ER given the severity and late hour, Dr. Zhang and his team went above and beyond in making sure he was taken care of in that visit even though it delayed their closing by a few hours. Dr. Zhang and his team did a fantastic job in stitching him up (requiring about 18 stitches) and even helped us find a 24 hour pharmacy nearby (CVS) for the medication he needed that same night. We were incredibly thankful because we had no idea how long the ER wait would have been and were concerned with potentially exposing him to COVID risks given his age and his underlying conditions, which I believe Dr. Zhang understood without us even mentioning it.The whole team stayed until well after 11pm to make sure he was taken care of and even had him come back twice (it has been only a week since the initial visit) to make sure things were healing well and to have him take x-rays of his hand. We are so thankful to have found this UMD location and to have come across Dr. Zhang and his team that same evening. It was such a relief to know we were in good hands and it was clear the entire staff genuinely cared and took care of him as if he were their own family member.Thank you again! I recommend this location without any reservations.

2022-07-04They’re a horrible service who scams people for money and their physicians don’t care about your well-being; only want to get your copay. Some of the staff SPECIFICALLY DR. DANIEL ZHANG does NOT KNOW WHAT HES DOING and always sends prescriptions incorrectly because he’s rushing to see another patient to collect their copay$$$. You’d rather wait to another day to go to another urgent care than to support them. SO RUDE. BE WARNED!!!!!!! 🤢🤢 such a disgrace to the medical community.

2022-06-24The front desk staff is extremely rude. I was turned away and denied medical attention. I feel discriminated against. Their only reasoning to turn me away was that it was 3 minutes past 8pm even though they are open until 9pm. Do not go here if you are looking for urgent care. Hopefully I dont have a serious illness...

2022-03-06I had foot pain last week and had to see a doctor immediately which led me to this urgent care. The wait for this urgent care was minimal (about 10 mins) and got to see doctor right away. The staffs and doctor (Dr. Zhan?) I saw was very professional, patience, and willing to teach, unlike other doctors I had seen in past. The urgent care also followed up with me after 3 days to check up on my condition. Great job Northern urgent care.

2022-04-22Staff was really nice and friendly. I did a PCR test and got the results the next day at night. Which is the exact time frame I needed.

2021-12-15We always come here for urgent care, today my kids have sore throat and headache and I called on my way there around 6:30pm, the person who answered said there are mamy people waiting and we need to come and wait online. We waited over 1 hour outside and finally came to check in, they tell me they have no doctor to see them for this, only covid testing , which they will also charge $20 for rapid testing with ny childrens insurance. Its urgent care and cant believe they dont have enough doctors working during opening hours. They close at 9pm and we checked in at 7:45pm and for them to let me know that the cut off time is over for the doctor see two children who are sick and that if they see them they might have to stay overtime thats why there is a cutoff time is ridiculous. Someone should have told me when I called, it just feels like they want to do only covid testing and make quick money. Will pay and do a rapid test for now since we are her from so far but we need to go to a doctor tomorrow for their sore throat and other symptoms

2021-12-07Not like my friend recommended. They will charge you $20.00 for rapid COVID test even you have insurance card. They explained because they are private. Come on, we have took couple of times in the private clinic. No greeting when you enter the lobby. Definitely not come back!
