UNIQLO in other cities:
Me and my sister was being watched up to a point, yet there was a white woman stealing. When she was saw us, she packed up everything and went the register to ask a cover question like she was wondering if they had a type of shirt she had. She probably got away with stealing something anyway while they all watched black people that made a purchase...smdh
I found there to be an unusual surplus of XS, and S sizes. I could be wrong but I understand this brand to originate in Japan. I happen to know that their clothes are generally much smaller than ours here in the US. Is it all possible that when ordering stock be mindful of the size of folks you are selling to? If you are that low in stock of Med, Large and XL sizes, then clearly that is the demand. Otherwise the quality and style of the clothes are very good.
This is the worst UNIQLO location in NY. It was 92 degrees today in NY but they didnt bother turn on the AC and it was sweltering hot. the staff was agitated and not friendly (granted, working in these conditions), and this location is the only only in NY that hasnt opened their fitting rooms yet (post pandemic), even though they have no problem with unmasked customers so clearly this is not a safety issue, but more of a we couldnt be bothered kind of issue. Theyve also refused to take a return from an online purchase (new policy), and Ive also been told today that I can only return items bought there in the same location (another new policy) - thanks UNIQLO for trying to make your customers miserable, but your clothes are so not worth it. Thats it for me.
Customer service could be better. Met at the entrance by employees that seemed annoyed you came to shop so from the start it sets the precedence for whats to come. I asked about heattech leggings and the girl just said go straight to the back I asked for more info and she repeated again straight to the back. I think it would provide a better experience if the staff would have a positive approach with the people who enter the store.
0 stars if I could. 0 selection and the most important note is that the security was so rude to my mother who just wanted to sit by a chair in the corner. They told her she couldnt because it was for the handicap. Sure, totally understand and she noted she would get up right away, but there was no one there. She also has a horrible hip so that was very disappointing that she couldn’t rest. Horrible.
UPDATE: went here on a Saturday evening. Big mistake. Line all the way to the other end of the store and extremely slow. Had to give up and leave.I love this store for having well-designed basics, modern, often minimalist clothing, and an overall modern style that is trendy without being disposable. Also love that they have a real childrens department here, including baby clothes. Prices have gone up since they first landed stateside, but are still reasonable, especially if you keep an eye on their promotions. I have found the quality is very good, although I do think they have subtly downgraded the material on some of their basic items (especially their tees). This location is smaller but still features a good selection although childrens is minimal here. It sometimes feels a bit claustrophobic in this smaller format store, especially in comparison to their larger locations which are airy, modern, and light. The lines are sometimes long here, even on a weekday morning.
Arrived on a Monday morning at 11:30. There was only one regisyer open and there were 10 people on line waiting for service. After a 12 minute wait, I left the store, but not before mentioning the fact that there should be an additional register open. I mean - geesch. Either be ready to provide good service, or do not open until you are ready.
They dont accept returns for online orders but accept exchanges for online purchases which makes NO SENSE.The funny thing is that when I tried to do the exchange for my 2nd item (literally after 10mins), they said that cant do it.Very unprofessional and they change the policies as they want. The register’s name is JASON.PLEASE DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING ONLINE. Because it will cost you money for shipping if you want to return it. I never had a bad experience like this with Uniqlo before. Bad customer service.
Wow, what Id like to do if I could get what I need for me and my wife when it comes to buying good clothes. I think there are great innovative ideas for clothes that I have never seen before from a unique point of view compared to the usual off-the-rack type of clothes that one usually sees. I would like to see more of these stores. I would also like to see more innovative ideas for other products that can be done to reach out to the general public as well.
Too few employees for a store of this size. Likeliness to not to have most common American sizes. Not the stores fault but poor system for ordering sizes that are not in stock; customer must order online for in-store pickup, no assistance. Service however IS good if you can get a hold of somebody. Prices, quality and selection are good (for fast fashion).
Im 6 , 225 lbs. so I didnt find much in the store that fit me. My wife is petite and she loves this store for its value and modern styled clothes. It can get a little crazy on weekends and holidays with lines that can run nearly the length of the store to checkout. I suggest going on a weekday afternoon if at all possible,
Store is nice and clean but this location to me is a bit small. I found what I need and the checkout process was not painful. They had 3 registers going so it kept moving the line moving. What I did not like was paying 2 dollars for a gift box but that is my only grievance.
Uniqlo is a nice store... prices are decent...when they have a sale... they have a sale! Mostly casual attire with some prints. I just bought my first pair of jeans and was surprised they fit so well. I also like their linen collection. The Associates are usually pleasant and helpful.
Everything else good except the staff adhere to the policy so strictly that it’s a little annoying. Example, the alteration policy is that for pants above $20 it’s free. I got one priced at $19.90. Was told I needed to pay the $5 fee to shorten the legs. To be clear, staff was only doing the job. But it did made me feel that they cared very little about customers needs.
I downloaded the app as a new user and was trying to get the discount offered for signing up. Instead of assisting and offering assistance, the checkout clerk seemed annoyed and impatient. Not a good attitude to have when dealing with customers. Smile and at least say thank you.
Most of their dress pants are cut to a single length so they require tailoring which they supply. I was assured my tailoring would be done by 3 the following day. I came back at 8:40 the next night and my pants have not been tailored. I was buying them for my grandfathers funeral tomorrow. So now I have to tailor my own pants the night before the funeral. Such a aggravating disappointment. I will never shop here again. I have so many things in my plate and find this time is really difficult.
Here to pick up alterations precisely on time. Was asked to wait half an hour so they could finish them. Mind you, theyve had two days to get to it. I think its very unprofessional to give someone an exact time for pick up and then ask them to wait another half hour. Like, what am I supposed to do? Go home just to turn around and come right back? Not too happy.
Disappointing, this is a large store and the selection is good but I expected better quality and or costomer service. I bought a coat here and the zipper literally fell off ( I think due to a sewing error) after I wore it about three times. The clerk told there was nothing they could due because I wore it more than once. I was hoping for better quality from this brand. I will not be going back.
Ok- I updated my wardrobe for about $400 and all items are great quality. This place is a value shoppers dream come true. Store is a bit of a mess- function of too many people shopping there! But you can touch and feel item in the store and order it online. Thank you UNIQLO!
Oh... If you will be lucky and get a store rep. attention...They will tell you - sorry we didnt have this item you have confirmed over the customer service without even trying to look over. Then they walk away and you will realize the requested item was all this time behind their back. True story.
Love UNIQLO, but hate this store. Nothing but awful experiences trying to exchange or return online purchases. Most recently purchased a shirt online while it was on sale but it was too small. It wasnt in stock at this location so I ordered the correct size online at full price. Brought them back to this store to return and exchange but they refused to refund the full price despite having the original receipts and only 1 week since first purchase.
The Terminal needs a bit more variety in food offerings. Uniqlo must have been giving away stuff that I was unaware of, it was that busy. But the helpfulness of staff sort of ease the buying process. They were pleasant and made the entire customer service experience an A+. That was unique.
Place is okay. Not my favorite store location. I prefer the Uniqlo on 34th Street. I only like certain items from this store. Their pants are cut to fit the Asian shape. They need to change that. There are many body types and shapes in this world. I see that they are not having as much items on sale anymore. Many of their clothing is over priced. Just like the rest of the businesses, they too are greedy for money. This trip to the store, I did not purchase anything because I did not see anything that I liked. Lets see if they will have new things for the Spring. I see that they are still trying to sell the same items they had last year and the year before that. Folks want NEW styles! They better get with the program, or they too will be closing their stores.
Great location but staff is clueless on the product. Its more important to have staff that has product knowledge..... I asked an employee the price of an item and was told I dont know and walked away. I really wanted the 8tem but couldnt find someone to give me info, so I got annoyed and left. Hopefully your experience is different......
The young man who helped me locate a coat for my son was amazing. He helped us find the right size and told us about the app that allows you to use points to unlock discounts. The store was very clean, and modern with decent lighting making it aesthetically pleasing. The customer service at the cash register however was lacking. Two of the three cashiers were nowhere near hiding the fact that they didnt want to be there. There was huffing and puffing as they handled customers and eye rolling. At one point the Male cashier was shouting to another associate about closing out registers in an aggravated tone. When I finally reached the register, I was met with one of the two unhappy cashiers. She seemed bored and when I asked if I could use cash she simply nodded her head. She told me my total which was 70 something or other, then took my cash emphasizing the price to me once again. She looked at me expectantly as if Id say oh no! Thats too much! And end the transaction (which I did not) then proceeded to mark off the 50 i had given her with a marker. She then began checking the 50 for validity in an exaggerated way even asking the other angry cashier if it was real or not. While I understand they must check large bills the manner in which she did it, after exaggerating the price to me made me wonder. When she finally gave me my change, I said loudly to my son if hed like to wear the coat out, which she ignored and thrust the coat into the bag. I took my receipt calmly and politely thanked her before leaving. While I understand the frustration associated with working retail having worked retail in the past, customer service should always be a priority, and respect and courtesy should go along with that.
Perhaps if youre staff is trained re customer service, sales would increase at this location. Too much merch on the sales floor. Cashier tells me that I HAVE to take the plastic hanger & film plastic. No, I dont. If we choose not to buy a platic bag, then retailers should gladly recycle the packaging. I dont like snappy sales staff who at age, 18 are adamant about what customers should accept as the norm. Worked at BR Flagship so know a little bit...
First off, the nicest people work at this Uniqlo. They are always helpful and welcoming no matter if the stores a madhouse or not. This store tends to run out of sizes and color options for the clothes I like but there is always something worth it and seasonal on sale which keeps me coming back to Uniqlo-a-go-go.
The only reason why I love this place is because they have so many womens light weight jacket to choose from. The one in Broadway is one, very crowed and two, the things I wanted are all gone leaving XL and L which no one in my family or I cant even fit. Every time there is a sale, its worst in Broadway. There are way too many people and all the good stuff were all gone, but if you come to this one the next day, thank goodness, I found every single item Ive been looking for and I bought more because of the wide varieties to choose from. Love this store!
The selection at this location is so so. I went looking for a hoodie which they supposedly had in stock but once there I had no luck. I feel as though this location has less options than the location in Soho where I normally go. The customer service is good though. The staff here are helpful as best they can be.
The store just opened and the lines were tremendous. Not as big as the Manhattan stores and it seems that the selection was not the same.Lots of staff and good service. They were fully stocked and had plenty of specials. Bright colors and I love the comic t-shirts with the Japanese flair. You cant open packages to try on certain items but they have samples to try. They also follow the custom to greet you as you walk in. Long lines at check out and if someone isnt shopping --send them to the line!
UNIQLO is a great affordable brand particularly for basics, highlighted by the collaborations they have with different artists. This review is more about this particular location as there are a few in the city already. Although its not as large as the ones in Manhattan, its a good addition to the mall but dont expect to find too much stock of the limited edition collaborations. My only qualm with this location is that the lines tend to be quite long so expect a wait during checkout.
I like the store, but prefer the West Broadway store in Manhattan better. I still shop there when Im in the mall. I saw some limited designer items in Paris last year. But thought, I could buy them in NYC store, no! Next time see it buy it, not always available back home.
I love UNIQLO, and I shop there a lot.Atlantic terminal is a melancholy mall, at best, and sadly the UNIQLO there follows suit. They were quite heavily short-stocked when I went, even missing some of their core range like some of their men’s underwear and their socks. The UNIQLO in soho is fantastic, go there instead.
Great service, they tried to find the right size for me, when they couldnt find it they told me which store did have it, however by the time I got there it was sold out. I found this stores service to be better than the fifth avenue store and my experience has shown that the stores usually have the similar stock if its a popular item but the service is what makes the difference.
WOW!!! Incredible shopping experience. I just love their clothes, coats, jackets, socks, women Tights and leggings. Their children department is small but cute. They have the cutest little girls and boys coats, clothes and other accessories. The sales attendants are friendly, patience and very knowledgeable of the company and their products. The fitting rooms are well lit and secured. Uniqlo at Atlantic Terminal Barclays Center is 🔥HOT🌡🔥right now. So, go there and catch the sale. I did🧡👊🤙👍✌🤗🤩😎😜🎅🤶🌲🌲🎄🎁🎁
Will never return to this store. Awful experience with the manager Kerry.20 seconds into my first interaction with him he started yelling at his employee who was standing with him at the door (and was just trying to help me). He was aggressive and kept this almost threatening tone the entire conversation. Made me feel very unwelcome, and thats an understatement. He didnt wanna help me with an exchange for a pair of pants (to one size up. Same color and product) that I had purchased last week and didnt have the receipt, but never used and could show my credit card charge from literally a week ago.I wouldnt have asked had I not have a similar issue (change of size, same color/product, no tag/receipt but clearly never used) in another UNIQLO in the city a couple of months ago, and they helped me with no problem, so I know he could if he wanted to help, and as my credit card shows- i shop often at uniqlo. Never had an experience like this. Avoid this store.
First UNIQLO store that I physically visited, and it made a very good impression - - and I say this as someone who does most of their shopping online, and thus tends to be uncomfortable (at best) visiting stores in person. Displays were inviting, employees made me feel welcome.
I like that I can buy clothes that are staples like tees or underwear or down jackets for reasonable prices with lots of color choices. I rarely like the more fashion focused clothes they make because they are geared to a younger buyer, but they do well with the necessities.
Great products and prices but terrible customer service. We tried to bring back a jacket with all the tags on it in the original bag and because we did not have a receipt, no Store credit or refund even with with original card. The manager said that is their “policy” (to screw the customer). Last time we buy there...
Newly opened and not as large as other locations, but had all of the basic Ive come to love from Uniqlo as well as some of the limited edition collection items. Great place to stop to pick up a quick gift (or gift card) and the lines move super quick which is a major bonus..
I love the uniqlo brand but Ive had nothing but problems at this store. I came here for an alteration after an online order because it was geographically closer to me but the promised time was nothing more than a pipe dream. I was quoted that the pants would be ready by 6 and it took them one full hour to complete my order. I suspect that they didnt begin the alteration until I showed up. Definitely going out of my way to Soho next time.
This is Uniqlos fourth store in NYC, and probably the smallest one by far. The store is still decent sized, but their collection isnt as comprehensive as the other three multi-story shops. That said, the staffs here are very welcoming and helpful; the shelves are frequently restocked; and despite the long queue, the checkout counters churn along very quickly. Its good to finally have an efficient store to shop in at the Atlantic Terminal!
Not as good as other locations in that the selection and layout are blah. Keep traditional/classic merchandise in stock (heat tech legging/thermals; jeggings, jeans; heat tech coats; bottom down shirts) which is a plus. Mangers are very nice, professional and accomadating as well as most of the staff. Conveniently located in the mall. Eventhough when I go most times they dont have the specific item Im looking for, I can always find smething on sale and receive great customer service.
I like Uniqlo because they have the size that fits me well. I also like that this branch is not too big or too small. It is usually not too crowded. The store is divided in three sections: men, women and kids. However, the display is sometimes a bit confusing. The same piece of clothing or the similar style of tops with different materials can be seen in different areas and you might get confused.
Layout is a bit confusing now /maze like. I was in a rush and couldnt find what I was looking for. At the time, the employees seemed like they were running away from me (?) So I didnt even feel comfortable running one of them down to help me. I left immediately as I felt so uncomfortable.
You would be expecting the same range and customer service as the Manhattan ones but you would be disappointed. However, they do have the basics and if you are having a lucky day, you will get what you want right here in Brooklyn. I wonder why the step-motherly treatment to Brooklyn locations continues- even yellow cabs have no problem crossing the bridge any more!
Uniqlo is a Japanese minimalist, clothing store. They are best known for their colorful basics like t-shirts, turtlenecks, sweaters, and the heat tech line for winter. Its very convenient to have a Uniqlo at Atlantic Terminal. Prices are very fair for the quality, but the sizing is generally smaller so try before you buy.
I love this mall ! . My grandmother lives close by and it is the perfect place to shop , eat and explore . Their are many things to do . For that back to school shopping there is a target right there along with a Mandees although I do prefer the one on 12th street and 5th avenue better and many other stores . For eating out with the family their is an Applebees , a Mcdonalds and a cold stones plus more . For entertaining those children upstairs there is a Chucky Cheese . There is something for everyone . I love this mall and I hope you will get to love it to .

2022-06-07I really hate to write this but also I’m pretty angry—I’m not sure when the last time this store swept their floors was but I went in and had a bunch of clothes ready to try on including a maxi dress. I guess it was accidentally sweeping all the dust on the floor and it got on my khaki dickies which as you can see got them dirty. I didn’t notice until I’d already gone into the fitting the room (which Took me a second to pick a room because all of them were filthy). It’s incredibly annoying to walk into a chain like Uniqlo and walk out with the clothes you have on dirty…without even taking any of those clothes off. Please sweep your floors. As someone who worked in retail and CS for a long time—absolutely no reason for this store to be this level of filthy.

2018-07-28The store has some unique clothes that others stores dont have. They have thermal t-shirts that help retain your body heat in cold weather and airism shirts that help keep your body cool in hot weather. The staff is very helpful and the lines move fairly fast. The store itself is neat and organized.

2021-06-11My favorite clothing brand. However, the selections are somewhat outdated, poor at restocking the products, and feels very unorganized. Often times the clothes are not folded or on the shelves like how I put my clothes in my laundry bag. Check out line does get very long during rush hours. One positive side is the staffs are friendly.

2022-01-30I didn’t move to New York to visit a mall with an Applebees, a Chuck E. Cheese, and a Starbucks. But at least they have a Uniqlo. This location had some things they were out of over in Soho and the staff was friendlier. Minus 1 star only because it’s located in the sort of place that shouldn’t exist in the city.
