These guys are awesome, I literally tried everything to get the volume back on my 2014 Lexus IS250, until I sent my amp to get repaired at UR. Unfortunately I had water damage to my amp; so the price for the repair did increase. But it was still cheaper to have UR repair my amp then it was to but a brand new one. Thanks to everyone at United radio for helping me get my music back!
These folks are phenomenal! Their services and prices are outstanding and if I could give them 10 stars I would. I want to recognize an individual in particular by the name of Bill Regan - he handle the repair in a very timely and professional manner, ensuring we received it back as quickly as possible. Mind you, these folks are capable of working on automotive electronic equipment that is not even manufactured anymore - thanks to their services, our 99 Prowler is up and going again!Thank you Bill and team for going far and beyond and for your excellence!
Sent United Radio my Sony High-Resolution Audio HDD player for repair work covered under warranty. Absolutely flawless from start to finish, this is how repair work should be! They called the moment FedEx dropped off my unit to confirm what was wrong and that it would be covered. That was on a Thursday morning and by Monday morning I had the unit back in my hands! Everything was packaged perfectly and clean of fingerprints. If the serial numbers didnt match, Id swear they had just sent me a brand new one. The unit works just a great as the day it was new and I couldnt be happier with this turn around. Ill definitely be keeping United Radio in mind for any future repairs on my gear. Thanks for the awesome service!!
I was referred to United Radio from a local shop owner for my broken Lexus nav/touchscreen. For a very fair price, my nav unit was fixed perfectly in about 2 weeks. I hope I dont need their services again, but if I do, they will get it. Top notch work. Could not be more pleased. My old car is 100% functional once again. Thank you!!
My Yamaha AV receiver still under warranty was shutting down. Yamaha recommended United Radio (Syracuse, NY). I sent the receiver (Yamaha RX-V681) via UPS (Yamaha supplied the prepaid shipping label). United emailed me receipt of the unit one day after it arrived there. Thereafter, they emailed me their diagnosis, then when they ordered the part (transformer). They said most repair part orders arrive in 7-10 days, but three days later I got an email that the repair was done. Next day, they sent me the UPS tracking number. All told— and this was around New Years day— unit arrived 7 days after I sent it to them.So far, the receiver is fully operational. I could not expect or ask for better communication and service.
I sent my Marantz AV Receiver to United Radio for repair. I received it back in 20 days including shipping both ways and them needing to order a part. I consider that very good service. The receiver was cleaned up and nicely repackaged. They provided constant updates in regards to the status of the repair. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY sent my Sony radio in for software update. Customer service said the circuit board was cracked and needed $250 to repair. Got the unit sent back and updated software myself for $12 for a memory stick. BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY. Seen your reply and talked with Sony customer support they said this is not their solution for a failed software update , also you told me your engineer assessed the unit and their diagnostics was the board was cracked and needed to be replaced, nothing about software updated. I also asked for the engineers report when shipping unit, did not receive. PLEASE DONT LIE ***BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY***
Worst costumer service ever. I called Sony about my a/v receiver not working that i just purchased. Sony said that it was under warranty and gave me a shipping label to send it to United Radio. United radio claims that the product is not under warranty even after Sony told me that it was. They are telling me that if i do not pay them to repair it, then they are going to charge my card without my permission to ship it back to me. The last time i checked it is illegal to charge someones card without their consent, but United Radio doesnt seem to care. Their customer service have been nothing but hostile towards me. If Sony continues to use them as a repair center, I will probably never buy a Sony receiver again.
These procrastinators and poor communicators are the reason I have been without my car for two months. What should have been less than a week of repairs turned into an entire car-less summer because they have not repaired my cars faulty Starlink Infotainment system they manufactured (poorly, if its going bad after 4 years). They have sat on the repairs, then they didnt ship it out when they were supposed to, then they gave my dealership the run around. As of today, which is the date the radio relay is supposed to arrive at the dealership (the third delay), I still do not have my car back. I am utterly unimpressed by this company.
Sent my a/v receiver in for service. while in transit to united radio there was some shipping damage. United radio called me to let me know. they also took some pictures for me to show me the damage. Jeanette was the person to contact me and she was able to help me out with everything and get my situation handled. she even got me in touch with her manager Angie who then helped me out even further. the customer service has been excellent. the quoted me a great price to get my unit fixed. later on in the afternoon i called back to get the pictures of the damage and spoke to a woman named Erin. she was very helpful and sent me everything i needed in a timely manner. i recommend anyone and everyone to use this company for repairs. they are amazing and their customer service is impeccable. Thank you Jeanette, Angie and Erin for everything yinz have done during the process.
My experience with United Radio in Syracuse, NY has been tremendous. My Alpine radio in my 2001 Jaguar XJR stopped working after the battery was disconnected at a dealership during a replacement of a fuel pump. I later discovered that someone at the dealership spilled a coffee into the radio and that caused the malfunction. The radio was asking for a code to reset however after obtaining the code from the dealership I received a please wait message that never went away and the radio would not work. After weeks of back and forth with the dealership, Jaguar International and Alpine, I was referred to United Radio who handles all radio issues for Jaguar. I was connected to Thomas Cole who immediately did some research regarding the code issue. Thomas asked me to send him the radio, which I did and in less that a week the radio was repaired and all functionality (radio, cassette, CD player and phone) is restored and working perfectly. This company and this gentleman are top notch! Thomas Cole is professional, competent, thorough, caring and a great communicator and I give him and his company my highest recommendation.Gary Titus
I shipped in Two projectors for repair AFTER calling and discussing the Make and Model and that they were both out of warranty/production. The person answering the phone said yes, we will see if its possible to fix, send them in. The projectors were received and I got a very nice phone call saying as much and that they would be on the repair bench shortly. That was good, I had high hopes that they were in good hands. A few weeks later and a few phone calls later about the continuing status of repair I received a message and was told the projectors could not be fixed and they wanted to see what I wanted to do. So I called in after receiving the message. The lady that took my call looked up my repair number and asked if I wanted them to dispose of my projectors or charge me to have them shipped back to me. Dispose of, I asked?? Yes, they are not repairable and parts are no longer available as the projectors are out of production was the statement I was told. I said we already knew that they were out of production and one of the projectors (it was working until it overheated) just needed a fan connection soldered back onto the mother board...did you even read the repair requests ? I then asked what parts are not available and was told they did not have that information. WHAT ?? They could not even tell me what parts were needed to repair them and could not find out from the technician that supposedly looked a the projectors?? All in all it was a complete waste of $60 each way for shipping and am now out $120 total. I am very disappointed to say the least and incredibly unhappy with United Radio and will NEVER hire them again to fix anything I need done. They are just untrustworthy of my hard earned money. There are MANY other places to ship electronics in for repair, do yourself a favor and try somewhere else.
Sorry for such a long review but please read the full review so you do not get scammed like I did......Terrible company to deal with all around. I sent in a customers pioneer double din navigation in for repair on the CD player only, it wouldnt eject the disc everything else was in perfect working condition. I called to check status and was told I would have it back shortly they were waiting on a part. Two weeks later I get a call saying that I didnt pack the radio good enough in the box and UPS destroyed it. I was told the heat sync was crushed and the LCD screen got broken and the radio was pretty much useless and there was nothing they could do to fix it. I was told that I have to put a claim in with UPS but there dedicated UPS rep said it was my fault for poor packing so I probably would not get reimbursed. I installed a brand new $700 unit in my customers car to keep them happy since it was not there fault that it got damaged in transit. They then told me they can throw it out for me or I can pay to have them ship it back to me. Something didnt feel right so I paid the 17$ or so to get the unit back to use for parts. About 2 weeks later I finally received the unit back ( whole process roughly 2 months at this point ) and there was a tiny metal flange bent on the radio chassis thats all! ,which I pushed down with my finger and everything thing else was exactly the way I sent to them to begin with. Bottom line is the radio was in perfect working condition and I lost $700 plus labor and had a customer with no radio for very long time for no reason. And now have a 4 year old Navi with a broken cd player that I am stuck with. The only thing I can think of is that they must have needed a part from that unit to fix someone elses unit and lied to me to try to get me to tell them to throw it out so they could use it for parts.Again sorry for the long read , but I really wanted to let people know to be careful before chosing United Radio for anything and only use them if its the only option you have. I cant prove that they lied because they needed a part off it but its the only way I could make sense of why they lied and said the unit was destroyed during shipping. I wish there was a way to add a photo to the review so I can show you how minor the shipping damage was. Be careful, and now after reading other customers reviews Im not at all surprised I had an issue. I wish I read the reviews before I chose them for the repair for my customer
I wish I could give this company 0 stars. I damaged a screen in my car, so I purchased a new one through a dealer. I paid around $800 for the screen and core charge. Then this company had the nerve to try and charge a $1500 penalty to the dealer because a core was not received. They forced the dealer to buy a used one as a core. That is extortion, avoid this company at all costs if you can. They will try and weasel you out of every penny. United Radio you should be ashamed of yourselves.
After way over a month of waiting I finally got my new soundbar, this all could have been avoided had you not had me send my device to United Radio. They are unprofessional and dont seem to know what they are doing. Gave me a very negative experience with sony and was bad enough that it would make me hesitate to buy another sony product. Sony resolved the issue but after all the stress it was not worth it. If it was sent to a competent repair facility it should have been a simple fix and not a $1,000 hit to sony. Im more dumbfounded than mad about the whole thing as to why they couldnt fix one speaker. You guys really need to stop using United Radio. It just makes you look really, really bad using them.
I was told the repair would be 5-7 days from the date they received my repair on warranty from Sony. So far, it has been 8 days and they just now called me, and guess what? The repair still isnt doneNot to mention, the person who called was a total jerk and talked over me several timesI like Sony, but if I am going to get this kind of treatment every time I need a simple repair, Ill probably save money and get Insignia or LG
Sent in my kenwood car unit as requested by crutchfield. Got good customer service and promptly return of unit. I had already given another unit to my customer....mine. so finally had time to put in my car and guess what....same damn problem it had and now is out of warranty and Im out of luck. Brand new unit less than 20 min run time between 2 cars and to the garbage it goes. Ps crutchfield does not cover you for entire warranty they send you here.
Disappointed with the length of time this business has had my radio without repairing. Every time I call to check on the status I hear the same thing we are still waiting on a part, and it should be here any day. It has been over 2 months if you cant get routine replacement parts in nor know when to expect the part from your supplier what are we doing here? This cant be that hard. Order the part from Amazon if you have to, hell eBay if they have it. Let me know what the part is and I will mail it to you myself. Watch I get charged for them to mail it back to me unrepaired.
I have brought in a Yamaha amplifier 4 times over ten years. I tell them the surond sound and the volume knob need to be fixed. The fix never has lasted each time. I had it stored the last time I had it fixed. Just pulled it out to get back at some bad neighbors. Hook it up same issue. I took a look a the volume control and its the original. Has the same short and crackels. I have spent over $300 on this $900 amp. They have a monopoly in Syracuse. They should fix it for free but will not. I miss Gordon music. They were respectable.
Scratched my brand new sound bar trim and claimed fedex did it when i sent it in, did not fix the original issue AFTER holding it for 3 weeks and claiming they changed the main board on it, even though they had a label on it that it was thoroughly Q.C checked. Cust svc is prompt but the repair/qc guys are terrible. Sent it again a 2nd time and again the tech cannot find the fault (which i went over with Sony support and he determined is a fault to issue a repair to send to U.R)
I went to their Automotive Instruments departments with the body control module (BCM) from my vehicle because I needed a new flasher relay soldered on in place of the old one. I brought the components and they did it in under five minutes, totally free of charge. The dealership wanted me to replace the whole BCM ($1,200) but by ordering the relay and going to United Radio the repair only ran me around $10. Thanks!
Had them come out to replace a part a month ago. The part broke again and was making the exact same noise it was making before they replaced it last time. Called to tell them explained what was going on. I knew what needed to be replaced and told them. They said they would order the part so it was ready to be replaced. So they sent a repair guy to tell me yup the refrigerator is broken we need to order the part so we can fix it! So angry I had to take time off of work to be told what I already knew!!!!
I was unable to find anyone in Las Vegas that knew anything about a Lexus ES 350 Mark Levinson Ultra sound system. My local Lexus dealer wanted to replace the entire unit ($4500.00), so I sent the unit to United Radio and within one day, received a call from a tech name Trieu. He said a board was bad and needed to be replaced, and since they didnt have the part in stock it would have to be ordered which would take about 5 days.. I was given a price of $500.00, which I considered to be fair, and told Trieu to proceed. The part was on back-order and took a couple of extra days to come in, but as soon as the part was available, the radio was repair. Since there was a delay due to the back-order, they returned my unit, next day air, morning delivery guaranteed, all for the original price of $500.00. Trieu was a pleasure to work with and bent over backwards to get the unit back as soon as possible. Nothing but positive feedback from me. I would recommend Trieu and United Radio to anyone. A1 service!!!!!
I took a 48 inch tv for repair and had to call them after 2 weeks (was told they would call with diagnosis when done) and was told it would be $249 for repair and when they recieved the payment would order parts and fix it. I called weeks later and was told the parts take 7 to 10 days to come in. It was over that. Again was told they would call when they were in. To make a long, frustrating story shorter, I finally called into the third month and was told the tv was done but it would be another $180 before I could pick it up. When I offered to pay over the phone and have someone pick it up (I am 90 miles away), I was told that I couldnt do that and would have to pay the balance when I picked it up. They were rude, did not ever come through with anything that they told or promised us. I have to wonder if they know what they are doing and will never have any dealings with them again.
I have never ever dealt with this inconvenience It has been sitting with those crooks for the past 3 months I did get a UPS tracking number but when I tracked it it said shipment voided please note 2nd image this is truly an inconvenience to me I will never send my nintendo products to this place ever again. They dont deserve my business. If i need to fix my nintendo product Ill find someone else.
I recently dropped off a 60 TV for a diagnosis. Their time frame was later than anticipated, 8 days rather than 3-5 days. Once I got the diagnosis they gave me a quote of $295 to fix the unit. I ended up taking the unit home and fixing it myself now that I knew the problem. Well this wasnt the end of the story. The diagnosis was COMPLETELY wrong. I had to order 3 different parts and return 2 after they did not work (trial and error). I couldve done this from the get go, but wanted to speed up the process. Not only did I throw away over $40 for a diagnosis but it ended up becoming more of a headache than before bringing the unit here. Although the staff was professional, and tried their best to help, it simply was not good enough for me (especially seeing as this is their specialty).
My experience with United Radio has been extremely poor, and I would recommend against using their services. I utilized their services for a speaker warranty repair and the unit came back damaged.I usually give companies an opportunity to correct issues or mistakes before I write a review and then report on the overall service in a review, however, it has been 7 days and three emails later and I have not received a resolution to my damaged speaker.I would recommend against using this company as an absolute last resort and consider other alternatives such as a return or repair the unit yourself before sending your device to their office.

2022-06-24This will be the third time within two years that I’ve had to send my amplifier back to get fixed to keeps doing the same thing and they just can’t get it right. This is for a Mark Levinson Lexus amplifier. But Missy in the customer service is really nice so they didn’t get one star. But I would definitely be where the first time it went in it had a year warranty just before the warranty was up it failed again. Then I sent it in they said they would not cover it the third time that there is no more warranties and no more guarantees this will be the third time and it failed eight months after they fixed it under warranty. So all in all three times there and I still have to pay another $500

2022-02-09Excellent, speedy service. I sent my Sony WF-1000XM3 earbuds to this company as they were shown as the authorized repair shop by Sony and Im so glad I did. I didnt want to upgrade or toss these earbuds just because of what seemed like a simple sync/hardware fix. I followed the instructions on the website to fill out a repair form and here I am 2-3 weeks later with my earbuds back and theyre working flawlessly. Incredibly well priced repair, especially for these earbuds and I cant thank the people at UR enough for extending the life of this device.Excellent, prompt and professional service, the unit was also shipped back well protected with no possibility for damage. It looks like they even went over the entire unit (case and earbuds) and cleaned it for me.If you have any devices like this that need to be repaired, they offer EXTREMELY good prices for repair. You could probably buy some broken units off of eBay and get them repaired by UR at a fraction of what youd pay to buy even a used or refurbished pair online.Thanks again to the team at UR for getting these back to me in excellent working condition. Big thank you to the customer service team who followed up with me at every step of the way -- Alexis and Jack and obviously thank you to the tech who brought these back to life for me.

2020-09-17Angelo at United Radio did a fabulous job refurbishing the OEM factory radio in my 1987 Cadillac Brougham dElegance. He took the time to call me and explain what the issue was and said that he will spend time going through the entire unit. Radio sounds BETTER than it was before! Fast turnaround, decent pricing and expert packaging. United Radio is fantastic!!

2021-10-25United Radio were outstanding with the repair process of my Denon receiver. Becky and Alexis customer service was very friendly and helpful. The best part my receiver was repaired and returned in three days. I hope I never have to use United Radio again - But at least there is peace of mind knowing they are professional and care about their customers.

2021-10-25These guys are pretty awesome. Alexis was very helpful and communicative throughout the entire process. Needed parts, but received within 4 days. Repair cost was moderate, but all fees were explained up front. Item came back in discreet box with receipt and breakdown of charges/work done. Also included a 12 month warranty on the work. Radio works flawlessly now, zero issues. Absolutely would recommend for repairs of this nature

2021-08-05My Denon x3700 receiver needed warranty work done. United Radio did a fantastic job from start to finish. I was called to let me know theyd received my unit. They verified my contact and address information. After that I got an email letting me know parts were ready. Then an email with a tracking number for the repaired unit to be shipped out. The process was professional, organized, thorough and timely. My unit was safely packaged and functions as new. Thank you United Radio.

2021-03-08I sent Marantz receiver for diagnostics and repair two weeks ago. When sent, I wrote a detailed letter with description of the issues. Upon receipt, they called almost daily to let me know that equipment was being reviewed by a technician, yet, they kept asking for description of the problem (obviously no one read the letter). Today, I called for status and was informed that it was shipped back to me because they could not find a problem. Received the receiver. So, after spending $130 to ship the receiver to them, $78 on “bench” fees I have a piece of equipment that doesn’t work. Regret sending the receiver to them and spending the money. As per owners response, I called to discuss and was pretty much told that I was wrong and unit is working. This after I explained to them that I took receiver to my audio equipment supplier and they tested and still didnt work. What a waste of money and time. Do not trust these people.
