United States Postal Service in other cities:
DO NOT COME HERE FOR A PASSPORT APPOINTMENT. After making an appointment a month in advance and preparing documents for our daughter, we were turned away because the staff member who processes passports was suddenly away and not available with no notice to us, or help with rescheduling. No staff could/would assist us whatsoever. Weve come to find out many others have had this exact same experience at this location. Our entire family took work and school off for the appointment. This location should not be permitted to offer passport services. This place is a mess.
Im just going to join everyone else and say that this is the worst USPS I have ever been to. You can make an appointment for passport application, but you cannot take a picture there. Obviously there is no warning on the website or anywhere else. They lied to me that they gave me a call prior, but they never did. It was actually my second appointment, the first one was cancelled without any explanation. I just got an email same morning. So yeah... Waste of time, never going back.
Came in on a Monday around 4:30pm (half an hour before closing), expecting the worst, bc of all the reviews. Was pleasantly surprised by how painless and easy it was!I was in and out with my package in 5 minutes.Thank you CJ! He was great and helped me with my package.
They called me the morning of my passport appointment (while I was at work) to tell me that their camera was broken so I would have to get a photo beforehand. If you have any alternatives to using this USPS I would suggest going that route. By the looks of other comments, it had been broken for weeks and they only decided to tell me the morning of.
USPS online shows that a package has been at this location for 3 days. After walking 2 miles, and waiting 30 minutes, staff cannot find the package, just say come back and try another day... maybe its still on the truck (3 days later). Laughable. Do they only serve customers who literally have nothing to do aside from spending hours each day traveling to and waiting in their location to speak with ineffectual staff? FEDEX, DHL, etc are all far superior.
I thought something was wrong with my hearing because many times (over 6) my packages would say delivered but no one knocked on my door. I own a business this is unacceptable. They are not delivering packages and they are lying about the amount of delivery attempts. USPS truly is the worst! FedEx and UPS hardly disappoints.
If I could give zero stars I would. Woman in the second window EXTREMELY rude, she didn’t hear what I said and told me it was my fault that she put the wrong Zip code. While I was looking for the zip code on my phone she started giving me attitude saying I’ve had 20 seconds to find it or otherwise she would cal the next person. They don’t allow you to use pens and there’s none in the post office, I had to cross the street at a deli to be able to write down the address I wanted to. Don’t go here, they don’t care about you and will give you attitude.
Consistently losing packages - marked as attempted delivery on website but they never tried to deliver - were always home during business hours and check for packages often, so we know for sure they didnt try to deliver. Also, weve never been left an attempted delivery note. This has happened multiple times, including packages from overseas for which we paid high shipping fees. Requested redelivery also never works - once a package ends up at this PO, you can be sure it will never be delivered. Also, they NEVER answer the listed phone number, so you have no one to talk to. Bottom line - this is the worst USPS location Ive ever encountered - do your best to avoid USPS if youre serviced by this PO.
The young lady behind the window on 4/14/21 Not sure what her name was because I can’t see a tag.Her attitude and customer service skills sucks and she really shouldn’t be dealing with anyone at the window. Her colleague however was very helpful and has a wonderful attitude. Fire this woman. She sucks!
I tried to call the office about a delivery issue on my package a few times recently and no one answers the phone. Also, I call during the work hours posted on the USPS website. I give them one star because the staff working at the office were okay and the interior of this looks the best in the area when I went there in person. Talking more about the staff, the lady who took my packages in asked an invasive question about the content inside. You just send the packages, girl, youre not my recipient.
The sad story is that I live in this area and USPS is the carrier of Amazon. When my package is missing, no doubt that this USPS is not delivering the package. Ask Amazon for a refund is the best outcome because this USPS is poorly organized and the employees are disrespectful. No wonder why USPS has no more money to maintain business. UPS and FedEx are the best.
Due to COVID-19 they don’t take passport photos. I hope I’ve saved somebody a trip. Luckily there is a Duane Reade nearby or a Walgreens.Update;Just got my passport application done here. I had no issues. Just do your research about what you need to get it done ✅ before you come.Good luck!
The two clerks working today were the kindest and most helpful women in the world. I was in a panic trying to mail my tax returns late and they stopped me from overpaying, helped me correct a billion mistakes, waited for me when I had to run home to get my wallet (without making me stand in line again) and were just encouraging and supportive the whole time. Oh, and they were super fast - the line was long but the wait time wasnt.
Small Post Office, with limited staff. An employee told me that there is no supervisor at that site, and that is why things were so chaotic. I’m not sure if that’s still the case, but two of the three workers there always seem to be annoyed that they are at work. Look I get it, working in customer service can be stressful, but everyday? At the end of the day, I usually get done what I came for, but I can not say the experience was ever pleasant.
I share the sentiments of the majority of the reviewers. In my experience with this post office, the employees were not pleasant. They have a defensive approach from the second you walk up to the counter. I always greet people with a good morning, afternoon, evening and ask them how they are doing first. Its disregarded. They seem upset like they are unhappy with their lives, their job, or both. I do feel bad for them because no one should have that spirit all the time. But in regards to package deliveries, they make alot of errors. They have been dishonest about delivering items when they didnt. Even forged a signature. They lost packages.Theyve said they made attempts when they didnt. I know we all make mistakes. And I would even give them the benefit of the doubt. No one is perfect. And I dont know how management treat staff when an error is made. But theres no humility or empathy whenthete is an error and THAT is what makes the difference. Most (because I do not know every last person) are not customer service oriented. They act like they do not care about the error they made and how their error impacts you. They are more concerned about covering themselves rather than honestly help you correct the issue. I truly wish they would find the job that brings out the best in them, because dealing with the public is not many of their strengths. I know some customers are challenging but thats expected when working in this industry, not that its an excuse for customers to be rude to them. But with customer service positions, you have to have the emotional and mental capacity to handle all customers and have the professionalism to remain calm and be helpful. You cannot internalize your experiences and then treat every person rudely with the expectation that they will be rude first. In doing so, you create the negative experience you want to avoid and would only have yourself to blame for the outcome. I hope one day, they will do a deep self evaluation of themselves to find out the root of why they come off angry and then change their behavior. It will benefit everyone...them and the customers.
This post office is the worst they lost my check that I send for the rent, the bank penalized me, and then I send a priority mail package to get to the destination in 3 days, already a week past bye they havent received the package, they not giving me any information saying that continue in transit. This not right because we pay for the package to get there in 3 days.
As per usual, completely dismal experience. Went to website to figure out how to ship a small package to Canada. Site said to print a custom form and bring it to an office. Done. Get to this office, and apparently they cant use that form. This is a USPS, no? You cant use your own form? So Im directed to fill one out at the office. But theyre not lending out pens at this time due to the virus. All the info is on the USPS customs form I brought with me to this USPS, is it not? Why cant anyone here be helpful in anyway?
It is a shame to see that there are more negative reviews than positive about this location.Customer service is the worst here.No good morning, welcome or have a nice day greeting.Went to drop a pkg. at the window and the overweight postal lady was eating and having a bad attitude about it.First of all eat before you come in to work and greet customers who are greeting you.It is called professional customer service. This is what they are trained for.If you do not like your job, leave it for someone else who really needs it and can give a better service. The Manager at this location needs to do a purge, hire new and better people, then there would not be so many negative comments.
Ghetto crossed eye lady REFUSED to accept my package that I needed to drop off for my business saying It’s too many packages. Then said she would take them but won’t give a receipt. I’ve never hear anything like this. I drop packages off at the post office forMy business all the time. I asked for a manager she told me no, I asked what’s her name she refused to give it to me. She then laughed at me & called me a B word with her co-workers. I HATE NYC POSTAL WORKERS SO DAMN MISERABLE & NASTY
It doesnt get more pathetic than this post office. They constantly lie about attempted deliveries, I had someone throw a package at my door the other day without even knocking, and they do not even pick up or leave missed delivery slips. Probably because they are marking it as attempted from the delivery truck and driving away. We need to finally let them go out of business bc the business they are in (delivering packages) is not happening. I dont pay for shipping to have to come wait in line to pick it up myself.
The WORST USPS office I have ever experienced. Like many that have already written reviews, Id rather not spend an hour detailing all of the horribly experiences Ive had with staff and management. Trying to contact higher ups at USPS to see what can be done because when you go through the normal channels to complain, guess what, the complaint just goes to them to address!
First of all you cant call them, good luck trying to get on the phone with them. They just announced cash only and no credit or debit. Only one cashier open with line of ppl . Whether its because they dont have competition in this area or something else, since day one I always had something negative happen in this place. I had So many bad stories about this place I wont even start. This mean attitude that I experienced was racism and not professional. They have anger issues. We plane people do not work there and are not suppose to know everything that they know as actually working there. Instead of informing with attitude inform with a smile. Looks like the staff were raised up on a different planet where animals and humans were bred together.
The lightskin lady that be in the second window towards the left that be having the headphones in her ear got a nasty attitude and customer service sucks. If you don’t like your job, don’t work here. Stop trying to put your negative energy on other people! Ya need to hire new people.
This post office is HORRIBLE - the workers are lazy and refuse to do their job. Again, I repeat - DO YOUR JOB. You know, what we (Tax Dollars + Pension) pay you to do. The workers here dont answer the phone, have a horrible attitude, and ZERO work ethic. Your packages will 100% arrive late or just never arrive at all (most likely because theyre just stealing them or tossing them randomly). This place is a complete joke and its laughable when they argue they need a pay increase. LAUGHABLE. Raise for what? They cant even handle their current workload, why would ANYONE in their right mind want to pay them to do more for literally doing nothing at all. Just - I wish the USPS/GOV would close down this location and offload the work to another site. Id rather have a further post office thats reliable versus this AWFUL place thats a couple blocks away that you cant even trust to handle your packages. Just - dont visit and dont use. Youve been warned!
Updating in June 2019. They are still horrible. I dont want them handling any of my packages..so much for amazon prime snd paying for shipping. Whats the point if the usps is in charge? They suck horribly.lie and say they tried delivering my mail and they did not. Happened a few times. Need to hire new people who will do their job.
Terrible service. One would think a United States Postal Service could easily and efficiently provide the service its name implies.Unfortunately, every step of sending and receiving packages was an obstacle. They do not have any shipping and labeling materials unless you would like to ship priority, not even pens. (Forcing you to use the more expensive but pretty much equivalent Priority Shipping method.)After waiting in line for over 30 minutes, this location would not provide me service until I prepared my package for shipping - which I could not do at this location. They were not able to print a new label or help me seal my package, they expect it to be done before you get in line. Expect to be sent to the back of the line if your package isnt ready to be thrown into a delivery truck. In addition, I once called USPS costumer service to have a package held for pickup. After being placed on a 40 minute hold, my request was confirmed. When I walked over to the center on the confirmed time and date, I was told the package was on the truck and out for delivery. Of course, the package did not even arrive at my house that day via the delivery truck.I go to a center for an even faster and more helpful service than doing it myself from home, this is not the case here. This place is merely a glorified dropoff point, essentially a roadblock between you and your packages destination. One where youll be waiting in line, pondering all the ways our garbage fire of a government is squandering our tax dollars. That said, God bless Candace and Dear Lord, bless her soul.
This is literally the worst experience Ive ever had at a postal office. Clerk #7 a late 20s-early 30s alleged 4th generation postal employee barked at me that my box was addressed incorrectly (though ive mailed hundreds of boxes in my life, addressed as an envelope is) and proceeded to say whatever im not getting into this if it gets there it gets there thats not my problem. Um it is your problem? This is your literal job function? It was UNBELIEVABLE.
Worst post office ever! Ive lived in this neighborhood my entire life and have never experience such bad service like I do with this location in particular. My mail has been left out on top of the radiator in our building, my packages have been delivered to the wrong mail box.....honestly the list goes on and on. Just today I was put on hold for 40 minutes, which is mind blowing! The entire staff needs to be fired!!!!! Now I have to wait 3 days for a call back in regards to my missing package.
WORTHLESS! Throw the whole damn post office away. This is by FAR theee worst post office ever!A. They are allergic to delivering mail! The packages do not arrive when they say delivered. Expect a 3-4 delay! Depending on the weight they wont even attempt to deliver your package.B. Disgusting staff! Im new to the area and have questions. Im sorry my simple question is so annoying to you.C. It is unsafe to drop off outgoing pacakges in an unsecured bin in the lobby of the post office. I dropped something off weeks ago and its JUST being mailed out!!!Ridiculous. Im complaining to Amazon right now! They have to start disclosing the shipping method. If its USPS I will not buy! I cant deal with USPSs BS!.
Terrible delivery service, one helpful person in the actual office. So many times the deliveries dont arrive, and no notice left, even when I was home waiting when they supposedly showed up. Then, when I show up at the post office, they cant find the missing package. HOWEVER, after chasing a package around for five days, one very nice man behind the window took all my information and said he would look into it for me on his break. The package showed up later that same day. Thank you so much for that!
The employee submitting the passports is the worst person i ever met in the world!! She didnt want to accept our application with our ID even though the .gov website writes clearly that it is a good ID and the representatives and supervisor at the national passport agency said that its a good ID. When we asked for her name she refused to give us her name...
I’m out of state trying to call on a very important package that was not delivered st the time I was given on my receipt and no where in system for last 36 hours. I tried to call right when they opened, no answer. Called 15 minutes later, no answer. Called 30 minutes later was put on hold immediately for 45 MINUTES.. After 30 minutes on hold a male picked up the phone said hello and then someone in the facility said something and he placed me right back on hold for another 15 minutes. I tried calling twice from a different line (didn’t want to lose my spot) just to get a busy tone. So basically to me it seems they kept me on hold to avoid the phone from ringing and having to actually assist. I eventually called right back and got asssistance from a woman that gave me no help at all after I paid almost $30 in a priority pckage her resolution was to “wait another day and call again” and then after trying to tell her about my poor experience she just said “I’m sorry hun” twice and hung up. Poorest service ever received. A shame these are the type of employees you have caring for countrywide packaging. If it were their package and their family they’d be disgusted at this type of service.
This is the worst group of individuals that could possibly be employed by the postal service..the manager told me today that there are a lot of packages so your best bet is to come back tomorrow. I asked him what he meant by that and he told me that he wasnt looking for my package. This was the second day Ive attempted to get this package that has been at the post office for 3 days..these people are complete scum.
This is the most antagonistic experience you will ever have trying to use the US Postal Service. Expect to wait and then be mistreated. The staff is preoccupied, dismissive and rude on the very best of days and downright hostile the rest of time. Cadman Plaza has automated postal machines so you don’t have to feel like you’re being abused for trying to mail something. Literally the worst thing in the neighborhood and I dread having to go there.
I would give this a zero if I can. We made the appointment through the website for this location to renew our kids passports. We even received a reminder email the day before our appointment. We arrived 10 minutes early as suggested, we told the woman that we have 10:30 appointment to renew the passports, she told us that her manager was off and won’t be back until mid August, no one will do the passports and asked all of us including the people behind me to go to other locations. We had to left early from the morning dryland because of the appointment, very unprofessional!
Today I went to the post office and there was only one clerk at the window for the entire station, she was extremely rude and unprofessional. I had certified letters that needed to be registered inside the system and she completely refused to plug my letters in. She stated I am the only person here and that would take too long, if I didnt like it I could go to another post office. The customer service at this station is extremely unprofessional from the majority of the clerks and it seems like they know they can get away with being rude because nothing will happen. I will never attend this post office again and I plan to start a petition to get rid of the clerks at this station. I have never been the type of person to get ppl fired from their jobs but these clerks really need a training course on customer service. I was very embarrassed because of the way the clerk spoke to me in front of a line full of ppl and just in general. This is not the way you treat ppl when servicing them.
I loathe going to this post office. It is a shame because its the only post office within reasonable walking distance from where I live. This week I walked over there at 10AM and there were 5-10 people waiting outside...they hadnt even opened and the writing on the window clearly states they open at 9AM! This is not the first time this has happened. I dont know who is managing this branch, but it is poorly operated. There are a couple of nice personalities in here, but there are also some employees that make it clear through their attitude and level of service that they are not happy working there.
Much improved in the new location. Havent had a bad experience or excessive wait time since the move. My mail gets delivered at home weirdly late (8 or 9PM) every day. Worst thing is that Amazon now uses the USPS as their final delivery, which I think creates an overload. Does Amazon pay for this - whatever the deal is Im pretty sure we (the taxpayer) are getting ripped off...
This is the worse Post Office when it comes to delivering packages that are too large for the letter carrier to handle. Some drivers just throws everything on the top of the steps and dont even bother to notify the person getting the delivery. If they have a reason to speak with you they are unprofessional.I wish there was 1/2 star rating that can be given.
Repeatedly fails to even attempt to deliver my packages. Claims to have attempted delivery but do not even leave a note. Also, USPS is definitely able to access my building, and other times they will leave my package without issue. So I know they are just being lazy af.And good luck if you ever have to actually go into this post office. Be ready for an hour wait if there are even 10 people in front of you.
Possibly the worst post office in the world. Youd think the whole point of pre-paid package you can just drop it off. Nope they want you to wait in line and when they do get to you theyre rude as hell and never a smile on their face. All of them should be fired because theyve clearly had their jobs for wayyy too long that they think customer service can be neglected. If they had some kind of proper productivity monitor theyd all fail. DONT BOTHER GOING THERE TO WASTE YOUR DAY.
Horrible service. Waited for a package to be delivered and never was delivered, except they left the pick up slip in my mailbox. I live in an apt building with elevator, which was in service, and they still refused to deliver my package to my door. I pay for delivery and I have a newborn. Therefore, why do I have to find a way to travel in this cold weather with my baby. Im appalled and disgusted and they need new staff all around.
Service cant get any worse. I received notice that package is available for pickup but after going down to post office and waiting 15 minutes I was told that itll be there tomorrowWhen I went down the next day They took my notice for package pickup and made me wait over 20 minutes and when I asked an other teller to checkup on him I was told that I need to be patient...
Today I go to this post office because on my tracking it said it’s at 11205 not 11206 like my address. To make a small story short I go in and this big lady has the audacity to tell me” I’m not even gonna bother looking for you’re package, we don’t get 06 packages” also “ that I’ve never picked up a package from here before” after I told her there’s been random occasions I had to pick it up from there. “She wrote down the phone number to post office by 47 devirose something like that and I call to find out my package isnt there and that the carrier that had my package wasn’t in so that they will give me a call back either today or Monday and of course Monday because they close at 3pm so why bother right ? . I just feel that at the 05 usps office for her to go back and just check. The store was empty with two people in there. If I could give this post office a zero I wish I could. And next time I pick up a package at 05 I will video record it for that unprofessional rude lady that helped me.
Although this place has a phone number, and presumably a telephone, the employees do not seem to take phone calls. I have been calling for a little over an hour and a half. The first few times I called, the phone rang repeatedly and then I heard silence--as though someone had answered the phone but was choosing not to speak. When I called back later, I got the busy signal. After getting the busy signal, I started calling again in fairly short intervals, only to hear the silence or the busy signal. I am thoroughly unimpressed with USPS (for many reasons) and am now officially a UPS convert!
Mean workers, no regard to customers.I got there 5:02 (2 minutes after they close) and the outside post box was jammed, so when one of the workers let out a customer I asked to take my stamped letter, she didnt want to take it, just said sorry were closed!USPS Needs to become a privately owned company and maybe thats how well ever see customer service with them.
Sometimes good sometimes bad. But they always lazy when handling packages only one guy is good there. One of the female staff was rude to customer just because she was going on her lunch break she just walked away and didnt tell him or us that she wasnt returning just as another female staff was coming in to work.
They leave a slip for you to pick up your package, after they claim they tried to deliver it. Even though I was sitting in my living room waiting for the package and the put the slip in the mailbox without trying to see if Im home. Then when I go to pick it up, its not there! So it takes another week to get the package they claim on the slip that you can pick it up the next day!
So I went to the post office today waited in line had a small box which I had the address on was about 6 inches by 4 inches so nothing too small. It came my turn she called next before I could even get to the window she said again really loud nextttt!! I put My small box package under the glass door thing and handed her my other package in the envelope . She started entering my evelope package then asked me is that box yours too? When obviously she knew it was mine. I said yes she said it’s too small !! I asked what do you mean to small the she said again it’s just too small! Mind you she was being very rude no good day how are you nothing of that sort! She insisted the box was too small which I have never heard off and I always send this size box and have. Never had an issue . Anyways I didn’t want any trouble with her so I asked ok if it’s so small what can I do to send it? She then tossed an envelope at me and said 2 dollars . She said go fill it out and come back. So I left her with My first package and went and filled out the new envelope so that I could transfer what I had in the box that she would not accept. Then I went back to her she The was helping another customer so I Stood there then she finished with customer so I thought I was my turn then she called out next like she didn’t see me standing right in front of her I waited some more she helped the next customer I was standing there in front of her and I was texting my coworker saying I would be late she then shouted out how dare you take a picture of me? I was like huh ? Who me ? She said yeah you took a picture of me . I said I didn’t tAke a picture of you I was texting My coworker explaining that I would be late returning to work . She then accused me of being a liar and ripped up my other package that she was still holding and then said to get out of there and that she would not serve me ! I wanted to ask for a supervisor but she was litterally the only person there working . I called the police and filed a complaint with the Usps and have opened a case against this worker no one should ever be treated like this ! This woman should def not be working in a government job she obviously has deep anger issues and is a threat to society. She was also racist against an Asian couple that was trying to get a money order she was asking them very arrogantly if they speak English when there English was fine .
The post office is a great place to wait in line for 40 minutes then get scolded at by the workers for not knowing exactly what forms/labels etc are needed on each exact form of mail. This place is always understaffed and very crowded. Plus dont leave notices when they try delivering packages/always come at bizarre times which makes getting packages a nightmare.
Theres something seriously wrong with the USPS in NYC. Every other post office location in the country that Ive been to, is pleasant and for the most part efficient. Not here! USPS in NYC is a bastion of feckless, rude, arrogant, children pulling a healthy federal salary and pension. This location is no exception: theyve lost packages (never even had that happen prior to living here), ignored hold mail requests submitted online, taken two weeks to send a letter within Brooklyn (a couple times), left packages at our door that required a signature - without a signature (even though they logged it as signed), lost tax forms, you name it, and this is all within the last year!Just today, the post man dropped our entire buildings mail on the floor - didnt even bother placing it in the mail boxes! On top of that, this location is extremely bicycle unfriendly. Ive seen multiple people try to bring their bike in, and each time they are rudely, and aggressively told to leave it on the sidewalk (where itll most likely get stolen). Theres plenty of space inside the post office, so why the backwards attitude?I cant believe these morons have jobs! What with tens of thousands of veterans out of work, how is it even possible that these useless criminals even have such comfortable, well paying jobs???I avoid using the USPS at ALL costs here in NYC - theyre THAT bad.
Its the USPS... .. but I have a positive story. My package was missing.... On my 2nd time there to inquire, a kind worker-woman took my info and said shed look further at the main distribution center. 2 days later, today, someone called to say they had found it. so thats good! & Fri AM the line is very short.
This post office is always dirty. Whenever I go there, which is always before 9:30 am, the floor is full of trash. Update: management must have seen my review, because there was a significant change the last two times I went to this Post Office. The floor was clean and the garbage was not overflowing.
They refused to give me a receipt when I dropped off a package supposedly because the prepaid label was printed 3 days ago. I drop packages off all the time at my local usps in white plains with prepaid labels that are even a week old and they ALWAYS give me a receipt. They wouldn’t even scan it, just wanted to drop it in a bin, so basically I would have no proof I dropped it off. Wondering how many packages “get lost” this way and the sender has no claim since there’s no proof they dropped it off. They said I could take a picture of the package as proof, which is BS because anyone can take a picture of a package, how does that prove that person actually handed it to someone at the post office? What a waste of time in 6 degree weather...
Dont waste your time there. The staff is incompetent, illiterate, and inefficient. They are also very rude and unprofessional. I actually ended up going to 34th Penn Station office, to have my package sent out correctly. On a more positive note. Went back today (8/9/2017) to resolve a matter that happend 2 weeks ago. I encountered a clerk named Jamilah and the branch supervisor Ms. Gerald. They were very helpful and apologetic about my pervious experience. Overall I had a better experience, happy Im ran into them. Please avoid Ms.Jackson by all cost she doesnt know what she is doing.
E-v-e-r-y-t-i-m-e I come to this Post Office there is a huge line almost out the door, and only ever two staff members working. It’s completely ridiculous and extremely frustrating. If it wasn’t for the fact that this is my neighbourhood post office, and that I have to pick up my parcels from here I would most definitely never choose to come here. Expect to lose at least 45-mins of your day if you choose to visit here. Ugh, shoot me now....
Something needs to be done. Theres no way you could possibly have one damn person working on a Saturday and have all these people on the line, especially the elderly. Then on top of that you going to have a nasty attitude. Ppl need to write into their state representatives in regards to this post office, it needs to be closed or revamped with new staff that actually appreciate they have a job!!!!!!
I went to this post office twice within a day of each other and was treated very disrespectfully by two different staff members each time. I was trying to apply for a po box and each time my questions were not acknowledged and practically dismissed. One staff member even left the desk while I was in the middle of talking to them. It was very disheartening to be treated in such a way when it was evident I was trying to get some assistance.
I have a sign on my outside door mentioning for the postal workers to ring the bell for whom you delivering packages to.. Its just no hope.. Some dont care and just leave it outside the door, dont ring the bells., nothing..my mail gets stolen so many times its ashame.. Its not my fault cause Im retired Im always home..I get emails when its about to be delivered. I go down stairs no mail, stolen again.. that just hurts.. Please do something simple (Ring the bell).. It only takes a second.. Thank you.
My mail was attempted for delivery on a Sunday. Recipient wasnt home. Mail has then been taken to Pratt Station, 609 Myrtle Ave, Brooklyn, Ny, 11205; according to notice left. Tuesday, I called that post office Phone number. The Person who answered seem to have a attitude right at the point of answering the phone, before I even said anything - very unpleasant phone manner. Also, person told me my package isnt there, even though the notice I have reads that it is. Since the time my package has arrived there (at the Pratt Station, 609 Myrtle Ave) post office (March 6) there seems to be no new tracking details or any new information about my package. It stopped on March 6. On Google and online there are many complaints about that post office location. I believe packages arent being handled properly or scanned when necessary and that there is an air of negligence there. Now today i read my package has been returned to sender, when it could have been sent to the post office near my house where it suppose to have been sent and would have been sent if it wasnt sitting around collecting dust at the pratt station location. Its a shame. There needs to be better service at some of these post offices and better management of services and personnel! and calls should be recorded or even monitored to ensure that customers are being dealt with in a courteous and respectable manner when they call their local post office. Usps has a lot of improvements they need to do, and those improvements should start with making services better in residential neighborhoods where there is always long lines for packages. Obviously something is wrong and business procedures taking place at such post offices need to be more thoroughly looked into.
I was suppose to get a delivery on January 10th and they said no one was home so they left a note saying my package would be ready by the 11th. I went on the 13th and the lady went to go look for my package, I saw here standing and chatting with another employee for a half hour and then she sent the supervisor to tell me that my package still was not ready and to come back at 4 which I did and guess what it still was no where to be found .
Often understaffed so expect long waits. The staff they do have is rude, unable or unwilling to answer basic questions related to your packages. Ive never written a review on Google, but after a number of frustrating experiences at this post office I thought it might be cathartic to leave them a poor review.
They always have a bad attitude to the customers who walk in to that place as if you bother them,1) Dont bother walking in to the store trying to get any simple answer without having to wait in line.2) if you need any of the supplies of postal that they have at the counter and they are out of it at the counter you will have to wait in line for your chance to get to a rep to give you the box/envelope.3) minimum wait time 15 minutes regardless of how many people in the store.4) if you have already stamped / labeled box or envelope you will still have to wait for them to accept it instead of being able to just drop it and walk out.5) they will not explain or tell you the options when purchasing a label.6) and if you ask them they will be like next time ask that before the label is being started.7) if its important item and you paid for it to be shipped express (Know in advance that it will not go out of the store on time and will not be delivered on time)8) if you are coming in with a lot of boxs already stamped they will yell at you next time not to bring it in into the store and only call for pick up9) bottom line here is some improvement notes.10) Be helpful,11) Positive Attitude,12) Show interest in assisting the customer,13) make sure all items are stocked at the counters14) See what you can do not to have customers waiting for an in and out thing15) Explain to the customer what information and options you have available on your screen when creating a label,16) and ship out the item on time Especialy if its an express box/envelope17) update the tracking information.
Really worst post office! Missing one package last year. They leave the pink note when I went to post office I got nothing! The reason is package still not in the office. I got the pink note 3 days ago and that is not the first time. Today I meet same issue!! This is second times. Fell really bad this is the only post office near my house. It take me half hour to walk over there.
This post office is terrible! Postal Delivery person leaves a pink notice but does NOT even ring the door bell...I know this because any ring goes directly to my phone and no record at all. Furthermore sometimes they dont even leave notes. The post office looses packages, currently dealing with the same issue once again.
Horrible customer service. The people in this post office do not talk, they yell. Both face to face and through the phone. Is truely disrespectful. Simple solution to this problem. If working with people is not your calling get a new job where you dont have to deal with people.
Most horrible service Ive ever received in my life. This past Saturday I went to pick up a package and a employee locked the door 5 mins before the store was closing so I knocked on the door, the employee then opened up the door to tell me they open back up in a half a hour as if she/they were going to take a lunch break. I came back 30 mins later to find that they were closed already and that she had most definitely lied to my face.
Worst customer service of all one. One incredibly make nasty postal worker who is just downright rude. Last time I went, the post office which was supposed to be open at 9am did not open until 10am and there was barely an apology for keeping a line of people outside waiting for an hour in the rain. They simply do not care, nor does customer service come first.
Service is horrible, employees are rude, lines most always out the door, with only one to two workers and office is filthy. The post man will never actually bring my package to my door which results in me having to go to the office at least twice a week. This also is a problem, because this office is nowhere near my apt. I dread having to go to this place. #uspsyouhavetodobetter.
This is the most unfriendly and unhelpful staff I have ever had the displeasure of interacting with. They treat every customer with anger, frustration and condescension as if anyone WANTS to be in such a disgusting facility trying to send and receive mail. A one-star review is far too kind but negative stars wasnt an option.
Lost an expensive package and 4 days later it says delayed package after it said it was already out for delivery. Two more packages were out for delivery and the guy did not even knock or leave a note. He just left. Maybe he doesnt want to leave them because he knows he will be asked what happened to the first package.
I went to pick up my package which was not direct sign and the lady at the window refused to give it to me. I showed all my ID. Driver license I even showed her where I ordered it from with my PayPal account which was on the package. THEYRE TERRIBLE !!!!! Ill never use them or go back again.
I couldnt find a single pen in the post office to write the address on the box I was sending, so I asked the woman working at the counter if she had one I could borrow. She said she did not, and that I had to look harder for one. I had to leave without sending my package. No wonder usps is going out of business with these rude and miserable employees working for them.
Worst post office. That will lose your package. They will say their delivered your package but in reality they didnt. They will send your package to a different location or worst send it back. They will never deliver your package on time. Everyone at this post office should be fired.
Once again, this post office has lost another package of mine, saying it has been delivered. I am loosing alot of business cause of these huge mishaps. 1800 ASK USPS doesnt help, nor walking in or contacting this post office doesnt help either! What the hell am I supposed to do. Soooooo mad!
Horrible service. Horrible workers. I wished they’d just close this location down and start from scratch. Need to get rid of the whole staff. And if this is the service people get - NO WONDER USPS is going under. They don’t care about your mail, your business, or the neighborhood they serve. Hope they go bankrupt.
If I I could give them a (-) negative star, I would. It is the worst PO I have ever encountered. They loose mail. They lie and say that they delivered packages and left a note, and they have not made any attempted delivery. I was waiting for papers I needed to leave the country, had it sent priority mail and five days later no package, and they dont know where it is!!!
Really not sure why everyone who works here is rude from the start? Watched about 4 different people in line ahead of me (of about 10) get attitude and then proceeded to get attitude myself for asking a pretty innocuous question. I really hate that this is my local post office. If you have a choice, don’t come here- you’ll wait in line for close to an hour and then get snapped at.
Make a appointment for passport and when came even 2 minutes before the time she said the person went on lunch. Could you believe this and anther guy in front of also she send awayDO NOT COME TO THIS POSTAL SERVICE ITS THE UGLIEST SERVICE EVER TRUST ME I AM NOT THE GUY WHO WRITES ON REVIEWS.
I would rate ZERO if I could, they don’t want to serve anybody, avoid if possible, they are looking for ways to not serve you with excuses even if the office is empty and there is no customers waiting in line. Headquarters should investigate what’s going on in this office.
Too bad I have to give one star!!!! As I walked past the post office ON 5-23-18 a spanish speaking woman with a stroller asked me to please go in with her to help her translate. As soon as we got to the window the worker sitting next to the person helping us yelled She was here yesterday and I already told her what to do to which I responded, I am here to help translate because she does not speak english. The worker became irate and began yelling she was already here, we already told her what to do to which again I responded that the lady does not speak english and I am there to help her translate. The worker spoke over us the entire time we were at the window. In addition, as we walked out she yelled YEAH THATS RIGHT GET OUT OF HERE!!!
I bought 2 of the same package one went througt the place in 1 hour the other is still there and it has been 5 days. I called and they said that its another post offices fault for not scanning it yet, if that were the case you think they would say it departed they office first. Terrible post office
I cant believe this postal location is allowed to remain open to the public for business. Theyre LAZY!!To avoid having to ring the door bell, they just throw my packages on the side of my house. They are also rude, ghetto and really, They just need to do away with this location and staff all together!!!!
Its the one fat african American lady thats the worst , she never searches for your package only tries to make you leave so she can continue sitting, worst costumer service, on the other hand there are 2 workers there who do love their job and they give great customer service so thats why this isnt 1 star
Very and I mean VERY VERY POOR customer service. Its unthinkable that this insultave ride lady is able to keep this job interacting with the general public... Terrible TERRIBLE service... if you want to see slow slack really bad customer service ....come here anytime.
Terrible supposedly left notice behind where !?! Tell me where ! This doesnt even deserve a star!! Freaking kidding me, I just went there ! How lazy can one person be !??! Youre getting paid to sit, its a college textbook to the teller who wanted to get punched right in the face today
Worst post office ever I had to request for my package to be redelivered about 4 different times even spoke to the manager who seemed like he did really care but he said it would be out for delivery the next day still no package over two weeks later been on hold for about 30 mins trying find out why are they not delivering my package (update the hung up the phone after putting me on hold and now are not answering the phone)

2021-08-28Service is not that great but compared to other USPS locations in NYC, it’s pretty standard. I give it a decent rating since I didn’t have to wait in a long line. I came in at 10am on a Saturday and there were 3 people working the counter so I was pleased with that.

2022-05-28The clerks basically treat you like a prisoner, I don’t know what’s with the attitude. In all fairness, this location is better than Debevoise though.USPS prices are very reasonable, so that’s a plus. I didn’t have to wait in line for very long, so that’s also really nice.EDIT : My media mail packages arrived in 2 days from NYC to across the country. I’m super impressed.

2022-06-22It seems to be alot of problems getting mail. They will mark packages as delivered that were never delivered to me, then you make a complaint and most times no one gets back to you and if anyone does nothing is done about it. Your mail, your lost. Funny how its a crime if anyone tampers with someones mail except when its the post office. I have had mail packages delivered ripped open and empty. Wow thanks for the empty box or bag, would of been nice to receive the inner contents of it. Also what is the point of being able to reschedule a redelivery if theyre not going to redeliver much less inform you about it. Youll get a confirmation for redelivery and wait for it to never happen.

2022-03-09Both people working here that I’ve dealt with for mailing or dropping off packages have been nice and efficient. Often a line, but it moves quickly and they do their best to keep it going. Sometimes a place to drop prepaid packages, sometimes have to wait in line

2022-06-01Cant mail anything; printer not working - judging by the messages taped to the windows, the printer hasnt been working for a while. There was only one staff person present working on multiple tasks. Mailing supplies just sitting in boxes on the floor. No writing utensils.

2022-04-22So, I ignored all the bad reviews & 1.5 star rating & still booked my daughter for a passport appt. Literally TODAY on the day of her appt, less than an hour before, they called me from an unknown number to say “something is wrong with the camera” & I need to go to Walgreens nearby for the pictures. Y’all couldn’t call early in the week or how about when I actually booked the appt a month ago? Let people know ahead of time that the camera is STILL not working ? These reviews are from months ago why isn’t the camera fixed yet or better yet why when you call the automated system tells you YOU CAN TAKE PHOTOS ON SITE. I’m over it! & because of this I unable to keep the appt.

2022-02-03I am so upset and do not recommend this post office. They put the wrong postage on my wedding card invitations and no one got them. No one will pick up the phone. I don’t understand how they can be so neglectful and careless.

2022-06-16I endured 4 years of disability discrimination , ADA rights violations and constitutional rights violations at this post office before calling an attorney and filing a report with the Dept of Justice .I will leave it at that .

2022-03-20Usps of this business serving this community should be a shame of themselves with this much complaints it shows that they have no care in the world about the situations going on here. Please someone needs to rectify the problem the community board needs to get together.John 3:16 ❤️

2021-10-21I would give 0 stars if I could. I am a doctor and because of work have been unable to get to a post office until a couple of days after an item was purchased from my Poshmark. I have never had an issue in any other post office, but the guy working at this location refused to scan my item because the person purchased it days before. He claimed I printed the label days before, but that date signified the purchase date. So needless to say now after a 10 hour shift I have to drive to the only post office open until 8 pm, which is out of my way to get this package sent out. Good job guy for ruining a good person’s day.
