United States Postal Service in other cities:
Just had ANOTHER issue with a mail delivery & then dealt with someone who doesnt belong dealing with the public. Today, a Package (containing a book) was delivered during the rain. It was left hanging more than halfway out of the mailbox. We opened the package & the book is so wet, the pages are stuck together. I called the post office & asked for the postmaster, who I was told wasnt in. After much going back & forth, Steve said very rudely that packages delivered in the rain are expected to be wet. He said that they cant tell carriers not to deliver mail when its wet. He was snarky & rude the entire conversation & wouldnt leave a message as I requested for the postmaster. He said he doesnt know when shell be in tomorrow, & if something happens, she may not come in at all. He admitted that it most likely happened while in the carriers bag & then said I should contact the shipper to see what theyll do because the post office wont do anything for me. He even went so far as to say Im sure the shipper didnt dip it in a puddle before putting it in the mail to you.. What a moronic thing to say! During the discussion, He also commented on how they cant be compared to UPS drivers because UPS drivers are always in their trucks & dont get wet. Best part is that it couldve/shouldve been put between the 2 doors or off to the side where there is an overhang. He said I was beingridiculous prior to hanging up on me. Terrible customer service!
Ive used this branch for years (I frequently sell on eBay, Amazon, Etsy, etc.) and while I mainly use the self-service kiosk, the staff has always been very helpful and patient whenever Ive had to use the service desk. The post office is always clean and tidy, and also conveniently located near the turnpike and other mailing services like UPS if Im in a pinch.
Ive had nothing but good service from this post office. They place is clean and usually very fast service. My letter carrier for my home nearby starts here, and is excellent. Very friendly and even went out of his way to introduce himself when he realized we just moved into the house. I am very happy with my service here.
**Dont go here***!!! I am a frequent shipper (eBay seller) and I recommend the one in Hicksville that has respectful employees. Every time I go to this location there is a rude employee. A year ago, I seen an employee treat an elderly woman like a child when she didnt understand what he was talking about. This is consistent every time I go here. Last time I was here the employee spoke to me condescendingly and it was discovered that they opened my package to inspect its contents. I hope this place will close its doors!!
THEY NEED MINUS 5 STARS I AM FILING A FORMAL COMPLAINT WITH POSTMASTER GENERAL IN D.C....LAZY POST MAN DESTROYS MY MAIL PLACES IT IN MY SPRINKLERS TO DAMAGE PACKAGES AND PICTURES SENT THRU THE MAIL......LEVITTOWN POST OFFICE COVERS FOR HIM SO I AM REPRTING THEM AS WELL THEY GUY HAD HIS PANTS DOWN IN THE STREET I AM ALSO CALLING MY LOCAL CONGRESSMAN AND SENATOR
I liked nothing about this place. Awful customer service. The man yelled at me because I was trying to make it in time before they closed and only wrote down the tracking number. Then told me I BETTER go get the slip and come back. Meanwhile they were closing at 5 and I needed the package for a wedding. It was such a difficult process to get the package and he was the rudest post office employee I have ever dealt with in my life!!!!
PO Box reader does not work for 3 weeks now. I spoke with Nick and he cut me off before I can finish my sentence and said they aware of the problem. I said are they going to notify the PO box customers when its fixed and he said no you just keep trying. That is ridiculous. So, I have to waste my time and gas to check my mail which I cannot get. Something needs to be done for the customers. I got my PO box because my landlord withholds my mail and now the post office is withholding my mail. I cant win...
A couple employees are rude and condescending every time I come in to ship and even to the elderly... . Bill another employee is always nice and friendly to everyone especially accommodating to the elderly ... thats why Im giving the store a 3 ... also be prepared for Long waits
I went inside this branch to do my oversea business i really needed someones help so i was help by the suprevisor her name is alicia she was so polite and well business minard she make sure that all and everything with my paper word was good it was a pleasure doing business at that post office thank you
The poster child for whats wrong with the postal service today.....rude obnoxious people staffing the counter, supervisors who dont want to take any responsibility, letter carriers who screw up a simple delivery for even certified mail so that it arrives past the expected date

2022-06-03Came by to drop off a prepaid package. There was a small line that moved very quickly. The associate greeted me warmly and it was an overall pleasant and easy experience.

2022-05-28Meryl is the worst employee there hands down. Has no respect for others and needs to be taught how to talk to customers with even the slightest of decency. She was extremely rude and really needs to be put in her place. It would take me less than a second to fire her. Horrible choice hiring her.

2021-07-08Moved here from NYC and dont know why people are complaining. Maybe its because of the horrific experiences with USPS in the city, but I think this is the nicest post office Ive ever been to. The wait in line is not terrible at all, they are always friendly and efficient. Got my passports done here as well with no problems! Top!!!

2021-08-11This is my favorite post office because it gives me the most peace of mind- after hours (use debit card to get in the door) I can put my skinny sticker packages or bubble envelope packages in the slot instead of the big bin where they’ll possibly get crushed if someone drops a package on them. Massapequa post office on Sunrise only fits skinnier letters/envelopes. And, the kiosk here is great when there’s a long line, usually is, that’s why I gave four stars instead of five. The package bin seems to get emptied a couple times a day- if I drop mine at night in Massapequa it won’t be picked up until 5PM next day and then start tracking the day after that. So, I think this post office gets things out the fastest- I track from Facebook marketplace.

2020-05-28I love getting my mail at 5:30pm. I love saying hello and getting no response. I love when for some strange reason my Amazon packages get sent there only to stay there for two days. I love the tremendous people at the counter tell me I can’t take a picture of my mail because I’m in a Government building. Not only did I take the picture but there was no repercussion, you have no power here Karen. Oh and please continue to walk on my lawn even when the signs say please keep off lawn.

2020-07-20I’ve never had a bad experience here. The employees are never rude...in fact they’re always quite friendly and helpful! Only time I’ve experienced long lines was during the holiday season so that was expected! My mailman is the absolute best, friendly, organized and he’s like clockwork...mail is delivered a few minutes after 11am every day...Mr. Mike please don’t ever change your delivery route 😊

2021-03-11This post office is the worse place to get passport services. I had a 1:30pm and arrived much earlier. They told me I was missing a document and I ran next to UPS to get it printed out and was back at 1:35 and he said he could not see me anymore which is ridiculous. I took the day off to come in and he said I was going to back him up. There really inconsiderate.

2015-05-22Very nice service. I appreciate every extra help I receive from this post office branch. Monique is very helpful and took her time in helping me over the phone when I didnt attach my tracking postage to my mail. One of the employees actually went to the bin, looked for my mail, verified over the phone that it was my mail then they generated a new tracking number so that I can track my mail. That was excellent beyond expectation customer service. They know how to fix my error and are willing to fix it for me from their end. Thank you. Thank you. Excellent.

2019-05-15I don’t know if I a going to the same USP Office that the other reviewers are but this place in my opinion stinks. I have a Letter Carrier Mike that is excellent but that is outside of this brick and mortar building. This place has no parking. What parking it does have is terrible. You take your life in your hands whether you Park on the North or South Side of the street and the parking lot that is for ALL of the stores in the shopping center only has a couple of Handicapped spots that you then have to walk in my Disabled condition farther than is necessary if only they somehow could add safe spots. While the inside of the lobby is large and usually stocked well with what you may need I don’t think in the 21 yrs. I have been a resident of Levittown that I have come here and not been met up with a line if not almost to the door but sometimes out the door. Years ago they would process the Passports in the lobby to the side where there was a special window with times for such things to be handled. But seems like no matter what day or time i go it is always a USPS rep. Being taken away from the windows to help with passports. I do have to say over the years I have felt that even though it seems like they didn’t do well with keeping on an efficient Post Master, some that I did have contact with that were filling in such as Mike and Anthony were in my opinion wonderful at their job. But with that being said the front desk help on a whole are absolutely the worst there is. I am probably friendly to a fault because i feel it is so much harder to be unhappy and as with others down right mean but i have never had any rapport with not one of these workers. I am treated as coldly now 21yrs later as I was when I first started to visit this location. I have known some of these workers since their first days on the job and they are the most unfriendly bunch to the point that now my husband and I are choosing to go to Bethpage which also has a parking issue BUT the difference are the workers and the amount of space you are afforded. I am shocked with some of what these employees, these government workers are allowed to get away with at the Levittown location. Almost at times being nasty and i have even witnessed fighting with customers and belittling. Thankfully i personally have never had that experience but there was a time or two where the customer was right and all of us on line overheard this heated argument and the USPS employee was telling them I have told you already how to fill this out now you go do it again and things to that effect. One time this woman was so upset she was shaking and i got off the line and had them call out the supervisor who thankfully was wonderful got this woman in the office gave her water then thanked me, had the clerk come off the window and into the office meanwhile got someone from the back to help out. That was one good experience i can think of . Other than that these clerks are the worst.

2020-03-01Issue #1Every time I Mail a (birthday/holiday) card with either lotto scratch off or a gift card from the Levittown post office, it never reaches it final destination, which leads me to believe that someone working at the post office is stealing them. The only common denominator is the Levittown post office, as they are mailed to addresses in different city’s. I have also received cards with slits cut in the sides.Issue#2I often get the wrong mail, and it’s not just from a couple of houses or blocks away, it’s mail from different towns, it’s so random that its clear they are just grabbing anyones mail and sticking it in anyone’s mailbox just to get rid of it, which probably means someone else is getting my mail, good thing I pay my bills online.I always get my Neighbors mail from across the street, and they get mine, so at least 3 times a week, I have to go swap them out.Issue#3I’ve watched the mailman drop off the mail and leave a delivery notice in my mailbox saying they knocked but No one answered the door to get a signature for a package, I was literally watching him from the front window, never knocked.I’ve also received delivery notifications from a store saying my package was delivered, and i guess he was to tired to walk the package to my door because I don’t get it till the next day, occasionally I won’t receive it for 2days.Issue#4Don’t even get me started on how rude the employees are at the post office, and how long it takes because they usually only have 1 person working, if they do happen to have more then 1, if there’s a line, they’ll just walk away, maybe it’s break time, who knows. I try to avoid going into the post office. Not worth the aggravation.
