Miserable and rude staff. They Literally will yell at you any chance they get. It feels like there is an undercurrent of rage and resentment they are taking out on every customer. I also had an issue with my mail not reaching intended destination. I mailed gift cards that were never received. I understand things can get lost in the mail but I honestly believe it never left the building.
If you want to be yelled at for no particular reason and be humiliated infront of other customers go to this location.What surprises me most that this black hair middle aged woman has been employed there for ages. I have never ever experienced such bad behavior towards customers. USPS you should start hiring nicer people.
I simply needed to ship a package and they said I needed a bigger box, THE BIGGEST, for a small tanktop.... incredibly incompetent, unhelpful, and rude. These people need to be evaluated and fired. I left with a headache and was there for 15 minutes for something that should have taken less than two minutes.

The entire staff here is irate and abusive. Ask for Cynthia. She is the ugly, old overweight woman (I think, she might be a man, not sure yet). Based on her name I would guess female. She is a rage/alcoholic and will scream at you for any reason she can find. If you are female, she is jealous of you. If you are male, she will take out her “personal” frustration on you. Show her some compassion because if she doesn’t get some TLC in her life, either male or female, she will continue to rage on you as you walk in the door. Since she has not been fired yet, we might have to wait until she is old and retired which based on her looks will not be too far out. If you are desperate and cannot find a sewer rat to keep you company, ask her out. I hope that the slightest bit of compassion will help her to be less abusive to those she is exposed to.
The employees here are without a doubt the most disappointing display of human trash. The manager is disgusting, to say the least. Transported in from the J train straight out of Bushwick. Lowlife, poor, uneducated and volatile. It seems that their main goal in life is seek revenge on the formal, educated elite that they are serving. I, unfortunately made the mistake of sending gift cards cards from this location before I read the reviews. Sure enough, the envelopes were delivered, torn and empty.
Arrived at 2:30pm, there was only one person working and she has the nerve to say with an attitude there is no service at this time, come back in an hour. I went during my lunch time and told her I dont have an hour, there should be other agents working here, while the post office is still open Then i cursed her out, spoke my mind and I will never give this place a good rating while those workers are still there. Replace all of them, they dont like there job anyways!!!
The post office sometimes surprises you with being helpful. This is not that post office. They are as rude and unhelpful as you always fear the USPS will be. I tried sending a letter to a bank in London, copying exactly the address on the banks form plus adding UK and buying an international mail stamp. It got sent back to me as insufficient address, which to me says the USPS is not aware of what UK means or how its postal codes work. I went back to this post office to try to fix the error, and the first person I spoke to got mad at me as soon as I said the USPS was wrong in marking it as insufficient address. So I went to the next agent, and they said they couldnt help me, despite my showing them the address on the form and pointing out that I cant make up additional details just to satisfy the USPS when that would make the address incorrect. So I went to the supervisor (whod sold me the stamp in the first place) and she said to just cross out a bunch of the USPS markings and try again, that she would NOT give me another stamp but would add her seal with todays date over the postmarking. So heres hoping it works, but Jesus, there is no accountability, no sense of how to get anything done, and certainly no sense of customer service. I hope the USPS gets liquidated, not even privatized, because this system is so broken you have to start over again. I hope my letter makes it.
I just came back from this post office and have to point out that an employee by the name JOSEPHINE should not be allowed to be working with any customers face-to-face. My line came up and I asked for a small envelope as there were none on display and for that I was literally yelled at. I proceeded to inquire whether she was OK, as a response she started yelling at me some more about sweating due to AC not functioning properly, etc etc. I suggested maybe she could take off. I understand that she may not be comfortable in her work environment, however, none of it is my - the customers fault. In culmination, she yelled at me to go to another person. It is so unacceptable to go pay money for the services and instead receive maltreatment because of someones bad day. Get it together, US Postal Service, what a shame.
This morning I called the Hanover location because DHL told me that my package was there. I called and explained that I was told it would be there. The lady that answered the phone was VERY VERY NASTY and the call only lasted 25 seconds. She said NOPE its not here. I said Oh okay so where is it because DHL told me it was there. She said Well you can come here but there is nothing here VERY NASTY once again. I asked her why would I come there if its not there I was only asking her a simple question and she said Exactly. I didnt raise my voice, I didnt talk back to her and I told her shes very rude to someone who is just looking for HELP. She HUNG UP the phone on me. HORRIBLE customer service, HORRIBLE attitude. I did not get her name since she hung up on me, but Hanover please check your employees, because shes going to do it to the wrong person who will show up there because of her nasty attitude.
Rude and disrespectful staff. If you ask a question, you receive a surly response with a nasty attitude. One guy texts the entire time and feels imposed upon if you ask for service. Another woman, at the other end, treats you with total contempt for expecting her to do her job. Avoid at all cause, use UPS down the street.
They are so incredibly rude and this is now the second time I paid for express shipping and the package was never received. When I go in they say it’s delivered and it’s not and they just say next instead of trying to help me. 2 months later I had the package returned to me so it was NOT delivered like they said. Now it’s happening again hopefully I’ll get that one back at least
Unacceptably Rude and Unprofessional. Lady name Josephine was literally yelling at me. All I asked was a Priority Box - 7 12inx12inx8in. She said if its not at the stand then Ill have to stay in line to get one. So I spent 25mins in line to find out they do not have it. She said she has no idea what the size is of the large box they have and she has no idea what it says on usps web site about Priority Box -7 When I showed her the box I want on my phone she went off at me yelling and stating to get off her face and she called in next person in line.... This person needs an anger management treatment and to stay away from people.... OMG, I would never assume ppl like she is would be allowed in to customers service
I wish there was an option to give these people 0 (zero) star!!! They soaked up my whole positive energy! They are way too rude. It was my first time at a postal service in US and i asked question to make sure not to do something wrong and send my letter properly. What a terrible attitude
I agree with the previous comments. These people treat customers based on their moods, and when you become their target, they gang up on you to provide the most rude and humiliating services: belittling you for asking questions, cutting you off in the middle of your simple request, passing you to the next desk to be yelled at if you keep telling them your specific request.
This stamp vending maching did not dispense a lable after I paid for it. Help was minimal, I ended up paying again to straighten out this mess. The service lady kept complaining shes underpaid, the machine problem was not her fault, bluh, bluh..... What else can I say? 1 star!
Shipper dropped off a package at this location and this post office has been in possession of my package since then. 3 days have passed and the package hasnt left this post office for sorting facility. This proves their careless and irresponsible behavior. I hope they havent lost my package. USPS Tracking still says that this post office is in possession of my package.
They shut the place down 10 mins early and on people trying to get in all they time. USPS need to do a full review of this place or shut it down. Even on tax day they shut it down, empty, and before closing time. Horrible customer service and they need to speak to the extremely rude employee there seems she thinks its okay to shout horrible things to people. Try to avoid this location and seriously USPS needs to do a FULL REVIEW of this location now.

2017-08-25Had no problem at this location sending certified mail. Poeple are helpful and fast in service. Also there are few self-service points if you do not want to interact with staff. One even is located on the back enter so you would not see anyone from the staff at all.Postcards, gift cards and examples are all in place as usual.

2021-08-02The workers are super helpful and friendly. I needed a medium flat rate box and the first one I picked up needed to be taped shut. When I went to the window to buy some tape, the lady told me that the other medium flat rate box had adhesive built in and wouldnt need to pay for tape. She also helped me with the flat rate vs priority shipping.

2020-12-24One of the most efficient post offices Ive been to. I dont expect them to package my items for me like ups because thats not their job to do but hands down I love the usps shipping rates. Most of the problems Ive seen at the counters could have been fixed with common sense on the customers part.

2020-10-08The new-hire was very kind while her instructor is so pushy towards everyone including customers. She really dont have to treat everyone like we know nothing and have to finish everything in10 seconds! I think 30 seconds is a fair value and there really shouldnt be so much tension between people.Treat others respectfully like how other people respect you!

2019-06-10This is my 3rd time going to this location. Each time, I have witnessed customers wrongfully get disrespected and talked down to in such a condescending way. If they dont want to work or answer questions, then quit and find another job! Why be condescending and disrespectful? One lady had the nerve to say they dont understand why so many people are asking questions. People ask questions because they are unclear about your signs or something????? It is also your job to help!!!!! Duh!!!!! One worker looked so sloppy and forgot to glue down her braided wig, but had the audacity to be rude to customers. She needs to go.Also, it seems like theres no window service every damn day!
