Dont know what these post delivery people think that people dont have apps that track theyre packages. The app shows u a picture of your packages and mail. And theres other apps too. Ive had package taken out of its packaging to get pushed in like why even remove the outer plastic of the package? Oh yes to see if item fitted you come on. Theyre hiring thefts at this location. Never had any issues EVER before till our postal man retired and now packages are going missing and they give you no help with it like theyre helping the person steal from heard working people. Not everyone who lives in the projects is on welfare and those who are on welfare are people who cant afford to just take a loss. God dont like ugly.
Horrible experience at this post office, they always deliver the wrong mail and out of curtesy I take the mail back to the post office, any time that I bring back mail that does t belong to the agency I work for I never have an issue. This time around the lady behind the glass gave me extreme attitude for no apparent reason when I asked her what was the attitude for she started yelling at me so I said what I had to say and she called me out of my name. I don’t expect this type of treatment when all I’m trying to do is return mail that they FAIL TO DELIVER TO THE CORRECT ADDRESS LISTED. I don’t know her name but I will be going back and asking for it because I will make a report on her. It’s not hard to quit a job you hate and find something that speaks to your soul in a positive way. This post office is disgusting and everyone is extremely rude.
If you go, be sure to bring a lawn chair or something else to sit on because you will almost certainly be waiting in line for at least 45 minutes. There are no self-service kiosks because why would USPS ever use time-saving technology in one of Americas most densely populated neighborhoods. Staff is nice enough, but they really need to have more than 1 person seeing customers at a time. They also have a tendency to lose packages or wait several months to deliver them.
Horrible customer service. Workers always talk to you with a demeaning tone when asking questions. I recommend just going to FedEx. I’m surprised this location is not closed just based on the rating and service complaints. I also had packages and checks go missing from here also.
Some worker are nice and pleasant to do business with unfortunately, I have to agree with the other customers whom leave comments. Very bad service!!!!! The women workers have bad attitudes towards their job duties, rude and the tone of voice speaks volume. Yet not high volume but the tone is with agression and unpleasant. I usually let people go ahead of me if i get a particular woman to service me. Never again will i allow that postal worker talk to me in such a negative manner. If I were you I would seek to go some where else. Unfortunately, I have no choice.
When I first walked in I knew that I needed packaging tape for my package says it was opening up And the lady at the window was very nasty and told me she was not excepting that until I pay for the tape and then another worker by the name of Gloria came up to me and said don’t worry honey I got you and she was absolutely wonderful we need more people like her working in this world And especially at these post offices
There is a woman there named CARLA. Who tries to be passive aggressive with you. Like a person who is being nasty but trying to play like they’re nice when they’re not. Very rude. Very dismissive. Doesn’t deserve a job. And I think after there has visibly been complaints the post office would do something about it!
If I had to rate the postal office itself, Id say yeah, its not amazing but definitely not terrible either. The staff are usually helpful. If the line is short, Im out of the post office with my package pretty quickly. But why is it that I always need to go to the post office to pick up my package after a so called failed delivery? So yeah, when rating the delivering itself, I dont think Ive ever had a decent experience. Most of the time, if not all, Im getting a notication saying that they failed to deliver my package even though Im home... Today I happened to see the USPS truck out my window, got the notification that they failed to deliver when Im sitting in the kitchen by the door without hearing a single knock, and yeah the truck is gone. Wonderful.If my review on how USPS delivers packages is out of place here, then sorry. I am only grateful that the post office at this location is decent and isnt making my overall experience with USPs worse.
Deliverers are too lazy to deliver packages. Ordered a package for delivery on Saturday. The package was out for delivery that Saturday while Im home with my family. No one even attempted to ring my doorbell and USPS claims they tried to deliver it but missed me. This has happened not only to me, but to other people in my household as well. UPS and FedEx deliver on time no problems. This place is a joke and so are the employees. Avoid at all costs.
Someone at this postal office is stealing my checks.. they always deliver my mail pieces but once it’s a check, they steal it and it never gets delivered to my mailbox, I have the informed delivery app to track what mail will be delivered & 03/26/2021 , their was 2 Stimilus checks that was never delivered in my mailbox, Me and my sister did a payment trace and it said Juan Carlos Rey Santiago cashed our Stimilus checks, On 07/07/21 & 07/21/2021 informed delivery shows that my job sent me Two checks, but once again when I check my mailbox the checks are never there, I hope this person get caught and do jail time, I filed multiple complaints and now 10035 is under investigation, but this person is still stealing my checks, It’s been 6 months and this guy cashed 3 checks of mine.. it makes no sense that I have to get my checks delivered somewhere else & nobody has a mailbox key but me, so it was this thief…
The new manager Mr. you(sorry if I spelled name wrong never asked formally) was very kind and graceful especially in this pandemic. Some of the other women representatives weren’t so nice, but he made me feel welcome. So hard to find good people in these trying times. So glad he is NOW managing the post office.
There has been so many instances where Ive stayed home expecting a package for delivery to be attempted but no notice is left I find out from the shipper that the package couldnt be delivered. I dread when the post office is delivering parcel over 2lbs because I know it means that I will have to pick up the package at the post office. Delivery is rarely attempted and when you call the post office they are pleasant and tell you to pick it up the next business day. Why lie and say you attempted delivery, just write that you were not able to deliver because its Friday and you want to go home and cant be bothered with providing the service you were paid to do. If I had the option I would not choose USPS but I dont have a choice.
Save your time, energy, and sanity by steering clear of this post office. They mask their incompetence with lies and become hostile when questioned. Attempting to make a quick transaction? No chance. They operate at a snails pace. Trying to retrieve your package without the elusive pink slip? Good luck.
I went in to intercept a package before I traveled because the tracker said that it was at this post office. I go to them and tell them that it is there, and the lady gets angry and annoyed. She still goes to look to see and then tells me that it is out for delivery, but I found it hard to believe because the tracker would have said out for delivery. The package was there, she clearly did not want to be bothered in looking for it because she was about to go on lunch break! I knew deep down she was lying to me but I could do nothing about it. I tried to go in a different line to go and seek further help, they told me that I had to go back to her! I was so agitated that I stormed out. So now I cant get my package because I leave today, and they lied to me knowing it would come in tomorrow! Not only are they slow, they are extremely LAZY and they could care less about helping you get your package even if time is of the essence. Just say youve been warned!
Was just on line to pick up my package. Went to the next available staff and the first thing said me was in the manner of bad attitude and rudeness. There were no technical conflicts to pick up my package. Cant help to think she was racially bias as the next customer after me did not get this bad attitude.
UPS, FedEx not a single problem. USPS is a disaster. Not only they don’t deliver packages on time, they lie and mark shipments as delivered when they are not. Tried to reschedule delivery. Never got the package at all. Tried contacting USPS - they don’t know anything...
This post office SUCKS, they delivered my package ONE time , lied and said noone was home, THEN I schedule the redelivery which NEVER got done . They didnt know where my package even was. When I finally went to see what was going on the lady said they had returned it a week ago and I track the package again & they returned to sender THAT SAME DAY !! NOW my package is on its way back to sender. Unbelievable.
Worst post office ever. My package got lost once, and the second time the company sent it, they told me nothing was at the post office after leaving the pink slip and coming for a second time. After I kept telling them its been a month and nobody is doing anything about my opened case, they checked again in the back for my package, and the manager found it. Now I have my third package, and I went with my slip to the office and THEY DO NOT HAVE IT. Redelivery doesnt do anything either, they NEVER RING THE BUZZER! THEY ARE SO LAZY HERE. They need new workers, new everything. Its horrible here. I wish there was less than one star for this place. This place is sketchy.
It’s inconvenient that they do not have a self service package system so it was a new experience but the workers where able to help me when asked. As for the reason I’m writing this review the person at the window had a appalling attitude, just terrible I would compare her tone to a immanent threat. I did what I had to do but just a terrible experience with the person behind the window
Unprofessional, slow service ,my packagrs are never their when i get the i voice that tells me to go pick it up their. So just a heads up if they say your package is ready for pick up monday. That really means friday of that week bc its on the truck lost for a few days.
They never give me the pink slips anymore and they dont even attempt to deliver. I catch the delivery people and ask them for any packages. They say know and then 5 minutes later I get notified that there was a notice left and nobody was there to pick it up after an attempt. Some things I order have no tracking so that makes it worse. Please fix this situation.
What is happening? i have sent letters here before and it went well. but all of a sudden is not good at all? i had 3 people telling me they recieved nothing from my end and is been way move over a week. please look more into it i cant deal with my lost mail do i have to send everything with tracking?
Nothing but great things to say about this place. I was put off by the negative reviews but everyone was helpful. There was a greeter helping in line. Fast service and I quickly was able to talk to a supervisor about slow mail since my address change. I will come back here
All the staff very courteous and knowledgeable , a real life saver uptown because God help you if you have to go the Manhattanville Post Office on 125th the WORST in the nation . Wish that it could have remained in the old location because it was so quaint and 1970s but just thankful its still here with us. highly recommend.
Worst post office ever! Lost and stolen packages are a daily occurrence. Ive had 3 missing packages in 6 months and what makes it so bad they mark it as delivered only to deliver it 6 weeks later after ive opened up several investigations. Ive even had packages left in front of my door. Horrible workers!!! And please dont forget to insure your packages!!!!!
The most disgusting display of flagrant misinformation and false tracking updates are given by these workers. I was not able to get my package because some extremely unprofessional person gave wrong information on its status and said they would inform the driver to deliver it that day (3.5.15) that was NEVER done and today (3/9/15) I am being told to wait for it to be returned to sender or reach out to the sender. I was also told today that there is no way to contact a driver during deliveries. So who should I believe???? WHY LIE?!?!?? I am 100% disgusted with the entire USPS system from its customer service members on the 800-ASK-USPS to its local office workers, pure bitter, angry people spreading misery along their way.
Every time I order from Amazon Prime, they ship sometimes through UPS or USPS. I am paying for the services for Free 2day shipping. But yet, whenever I wait for my package at the door on the delivery day, no one knocks. I checked my tracking details and it says Delivery Attempted. Notice Left! NO ITS WASNT! So now I have to get dressed and go to the post office without a notice the deliveryman supposedly left and make my customer pick up experience even that more dreadful.
I am supposed to get a game informer every month and every month I never receive it. When I go and ask them about it they tell me to call the company. But every month come on. This isnt the first time I am supposed to get mail and it never comes. They are rude and loud they talk amongst them selves instead of tending To people on the long lines they be having on.
I want to reiterate the sentiments of one of the other commenters. An actual package delivery is rarely attempted. Instead, a pink slip is placed in your mail box informing you to pick up your package in a day or two.Why should they bother delivering your packages, when they can have you pick it up at the post office instead?If thats the way they want to shape their business plan, thats fine. But, please dont leave me a pink slip in my mail box that states Sorry we missed you! Its a lie. I was home, and you never intended on actually delivering my package.
They do not wanna give me my mail cause my mailbox is broken Have ID to prove that live at the address but holding my mail they do not wanna give it to me my mother or brothers mail brother got hit by car broken leg but the want to come there Supervisor at Post Office told me to tell them to get fixed the mailbox and hell put the mail in the mailbox but I can pick it up dont make no sense any buy doesnt comments thank you
This post office gives the usps a bad name. rude & angry postal workers. perfect example of why theyre losing to fedex. lost packages. delivery attempt never actually happens, often without leaving a sticky note. customer service seems to want you to just leave them alone & not bother coming to this location. if you call they dont listen to anything you try to say, they just holler something & put you on hold to never pick up again. theyve made things sent to and from here simply disappear & are of no help trying to find them. pretty heartbreaking sometimes. AVOID THIS PLACE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE TREATED LIKE A FOOL!
They do not deserve one star. I have not choice, so WTH. They dont know what services they have. They ask you personal information but they dont even give you their name. They call you names, but if you complain, they think its normal. Listen, not everyone is like you. Dont call me sweetie when you dont know the services you offer---its not appropriate way to address a customer. Dont take my name and personal information if you are not going to do anything to help me. When I address their behavior, they hung up on you. They say that Im not being respectful? Please, they discriminate people who speak with an accent, except Ebonics. If you want to be insulted for nothing, go there.
The woman who rang me up was on her cell phone the whole time. When I asked her when the package would arrive out of concern that it would not arrive by Christmas she responded in a rude manner and acted as though I was interrupting her. 2022-05-18Bad customer service the phone they dont answer and in person unprofessional always haves a attitude not very careful with my package. They lost my package to the wrong location. Very unsatisfied and very bad location. I would like a better careful consideration of packages service its not good.

2022-07-06Whenever I call to speak to someone to question why we do not get our mail even though they send us the pictures through email, they hung up the phone on us. However we found out that the mail person has knee problems and does not climb the 6 steps to get to the box. We do not know what else to do

2022-06-26The postman that comes to our building on East 119 street is rude and nasty. He also constantly puts the wrong mail in the wrong box. If you dont like your job and interacting with the public, then get a new job.

2021-11-14There is an app that shows what mail you will get that day before it even goes in your mail box. I have had three check go missing and when you go to the post office they give you attitude and refuse to give you their supervisor or name. At one point some one that I was not even talking to interrupted me and invited me to wait for them to handle to outside after work. Today I get a mailing that is a bill that was sent back to me from an insurance company and they sent it in an envelope and put the original one inside. First it was open perfectly and it had a window with my address print on it correctly. So it is obvious that someone looked into it to see if there was a check and when they saw it was a bill decides to mark it undeliverable. I will make another complaint and this time make a police report as well. It is obvious that some one in this post office is stealing check and the post master need to do something about it. Because left the way it is make the postmaster as responsible as the person stealing the checks. I have photo but has my address so I will not share at this time.

2022-01-26The staff is generally very helpful and friendly. I receive all my packages at this station and I couldnt be more satisfied with this service. It sometimes gets crowded but with a little patience it works out fine.

2021-12-07If one hates their job, why be there? There is only a couple of nice workers at this post office. The rest of the workers (the window ladies) have such rude & nasty attitudes when asking a simple question or even when not saying anything at all! Some of them need to go back to school for basic 101 customer service skills. Horrible. People warned me about this postoffice & most are avoiding but I gave the benefit of the doubt the past year & Im truly disappointed.soon then maybe the rude workers will understand why they might not have a job if they end up closing this one for being unpopular.

2021-12-21I was treated with great unprofessionalism by one of the women who work here. I wanted to get the cost of how much my item would cost me to ship it. While sighing and rolling her eyes, she didnt even attempt to weigh my item or ask for its destination to give me the exact cost. She just starred at me and said $8-9. When I asked her why would it cost that amount, she didnt tell me. I then asked her how much would the envelope cost, and she replied about $2. Then I asked her, doesnt shipping also require the weight of my item? She said yes. I then tried to hand her my item inside the envelope again, so she can weight it and tell me the actual cost to ship it. She rolled her eyes again and made a louder sigh. She then told me to go use the scale to get the weight, assuming I knew how to use the contraption. Which also, still doesnt answer my question of how much it would exactly cost me to ship my item. I told her I was disgusted of how she was treating me, and that it was highly disrespectful and unprofessional. I walked straight out. This was a terrible experience and I can understand why the USPS is losing money. It is employees like this woman that steers customers away and right into the direction of other shipping providers.

I just can’t understand how this location functions properly with all the infinite lies they provide to their customers.Edit: They retaliated and returned a package without doing a redelivery.
