United States Postal Service in other cities:
Would give zero star if I could. They have no control over the customers and dont care if the customers just randomly cut the line. The customer service is terrible and the staff is extremely rude. They scream at you to make you get in line and they never answer the damn phone. They lost several of my packages and the postman is so lazy he doesnt ship anything larger than a piece of mail. Never had such terrible service in my whole life.
Individuals receive the packages from USPS is the worst experience.System shows my package was attempted delivery and left with notice. However; I checked my door and lobby within 10mins, notice slip was never found. Went to postal office and told me to come back at 5pm for pick up. I showed up at 5pm but I was told to come back again after 7pm. The staff I was talking to she said who told me to come back at 5pm is substitute.Very professional usps staff :(
Terrible experience, I remember her name was ‘Sukyoung’. I just waited in the line and she called me,I went to her and asked about how to return a item. But she said she didn’t know and that’s my decision even thought she works at there! So, I said “Miss, I’m asking you how I can return a item” then she kept saying and yelling me she didn’t know and that’s my decision. What the ....if she doesn’t know how to do, then why she works at there?
I Cant speak for all of the staff but Nelson was God sent! Nelson was so helpful. I dont ever go to the post office and he helped me with all my questions regarding my passport renewal. He advised me the best way to ship it and he even made sure the form was filled out correctly (and in black ink, had to do it over again). He was friendly and so helpful. I never ship things so I walked in there so lost and had no idea what steps I needed to take. I was nervous because of the reviews for this post office but I guess I got lucky. There was a very long line that wrapped around the po boxes to the back and only three windows available, but this post office is open until 8pm today so that probably explains why.
Horrible service might as well replace the employees at the desks with robots who are actually willing to help! The dark skin Indian lady was a nightmare! Cant believe I have to trust such incompetent people with mailing my legal documents! Its very disturbing to see how our taxes are being spent! Our country doesnt need more taxes what it needs is competent people! I highly recommend you look elsewhere for all other services like UPS . All the one star reviews of this place are legit!
The postal service sent an email saying our package was delivered.. we thought someone stole our package until we looked back at the camera. the postal lady never delivered it however USPS sent an email saying it was delivered.. insider stealing, Im shocked that postal workers are stealing peoples packages..this might have been the problem with usps this is why they wanted to shut down...Amazon, DHL, many more delivery companies to use..the governments own delivery service, stealing from the people they are delivering to. everyone is in on it thats why it continues to happen.
In the evening I went to mail large envelopes and I was greeted by a black lady at the window. She was toxic and extraordinary rude to me for no reason. She intimidated me and forced me to use priority mail and told me that was the cheapest way. She lied! I could mail with first-class to save money. She spoke to me in a condescending way and treated me like an idiot who does not know anything about mailing. I felt humilitated. My mistakes. Next time, AVOID HER AT ALL COST!
Went there only once and service was not as that bad as the average rating 1.7. In fact it was not bad at all. While waiting online on a weekend afternoon near closing time, 3 windows were open and a black staff guided people to right session in order to get the line moving faster. He was nice and professional and did help me out fast enough so I had no complaints. Keep in mind that outside parking on the street is always not available so do not take the risk of leaving your car in bus land or under no standing sign, if you drive. 4 stars I would say for my own personal experience.
This place is a civil lawsuit waiting to happen. I understand that when Im picking up a package my name and address have to match my ID. And it does, the package has both my legal name and my preferred anglosaxon name, as most first and second generation immigrants do. The lady behind the counter acted like she was doing me a favor by giving me my package. And then proceeded to tell me to not use the name Ive had for 30 years, that my friends and family know me by, and that my professional name is under. Didnt know the post office could limit my rights as a citizen. Stay in your lane, just match the name and address and give me my package. This post office services an immigrant community, there will always be English preferred names and legal names posted together. Maybe if the mailman did his job and actually rang the doorbell instead of being lazy and dropping a missed you notice, I wouldnt have had to make a trip in and this could have been avoided altogether.
Something good:The info desk lady is patient and efficient, but she was the only staff to serve the endless of customers.Something need improvement/ or as customer you need to be prepared of:1. You need to prepare your flat rate box or envelopes if you have more than 2 goods to ship. They only provide no more than two of those supplies. —when I ask 8 of them I got 1 and need to order the rest online.2. This USPS needs more well-qualified staff to avoid long waiting time and abusive language towards customers. It happened to me when I spend 5 seconds to tape my box at the service window and the only reason I didn’t close the box beforehand is because I first time at the service window the staff said my boxes does not conform to the standard of flat rate shipping; so I get to the line again after put everything into the new box and wrote the address— so only need tape the box and it’s ready to go. the second time it was a different service window, the staff said it works and ask me to tape it and get to the back of the line again. I said “I only need to tape the top” and started doing it. Immediately, she started language attack but luckily I only need 5 seconds to finish the tape and she stopped abusive language when she felt better.
This post office is great for dropping off prepaid labeled packages. They have two package drop boxes in the lobby for customers to use. Just go in and drop your parcels there. Quick and easy. If you need a receipt, you can wait in line for a window clerk and theyll scan it and give you that.
This review is strictly for picking up missed packages.Today I stopped by to pick up a package that I had missed because it required a signature.Keep in mind that the pick up center is on the right side of the office, past the PO Boxes.I believe the clerk working today was a lady named Diane. She had a sweet smile, greeted everyone with a friendly smile and didn’t lose her professionalism even with the long lines. She was so sweet, and at the same time very quick and efficient. I have never experience such a pleasant visit to a USPS office.I can’t vouch for the rest of the office but I can surely tell you everyone picking up their package today left in a good mood thanks to Diane.
The clerk I didn’t get her name the Asian women was so rude and caught an attitude when she brought over an shipping envelope. Then I asked her for a smaller one. Told me she didn’t care if I wanted another that the envelope I was given is the one I gotta buy she wasn’t going back for another. I took offense to that and just left. Usually I have a great experience with the post office. Great people but her. I get it’s a Saturday at 11 am but all I needed was an envelope.
One of the worst post offices I visited. Common sight to see uniformed postal workers yelling at patrons in the line. Personally, even when I have all my packages pre-paid and properly packaged, I was harassed by a clerk with a nasty attitude who refused to scan in my packages.Seems like there is no oversight from supervisors at this branch and it is unfortunate that there are no alternative post offices nearby that are open afrer work hours (5PM).
I was scheduled for a passport appointment at 11:15. They didnt take care of me until 11:40. There was another person in front of me which took forever. Im not sure if they took my turn or they really took long. There was only one lady taking care of passport applications and all she said was that their case was special and required a lot of time! Really!? I dont know if all post offices are like this but definitely avoid this one or make sure you have a lot of spare time.
Um...the white staff(old lady, white hair) refused to tell me how to renew a passport because I wasn’t 18, I was literally 3 days off and said she would only talk to my parent, and I couldn’t be in the presence???? And another time, passport staff wrote a message and signed it saying that on this certain day, I could comeback without making an appointment, I took precautions in asking her if this was ok and approved by the office, she said yes (very nice and lovely person) but this wasn’t accepted by a different passport staff who refused to help and denied the message written.
The line today June 26, 2020 was well over an hour long. Whoever was working window 2 (older Asian woman) around 10:45 am was extremely rude calling me nasty for simply being dissatisfied for waiting in line for such a long time. No one is adhering to the social distancing rule with many elderly and pregnant people being around I feel unsafe to even go to the post office at this time.
Even with an appointment, they make me wait for more than an hour. The customer before me was taking 45 minutes to fill the application form. Then I asked them if they could help me in the meantime, but the lady was so rude and kept on repeating my appointment time which was in 15 minutes wait. Although there were no other customers to serve, the lady didnt help me and kept me waiting. Apparently, the customer had received the wrong form to fill from the lady who was helping them. Because I have to wait unnecessarily I missed another appointment at the bank.
I had no issue in purchasing stamps from the clerk. She was fine. Got my stamps, no problem. Asked if I can mail out my letters with her. She told me to go outside to mail it. So I did.My issue is with the employee whom I simply asked where to mail out my letters. She was in the lobby working on packages. She had the audacity to tell me to please read, and asked if I can read? When asked to speak to her supervisor and waiting. She also had the nerve to ask me if I was Korean. What does that even matter?Very unacceptable behavior. You need to provide training for this employee.I did speak to Annabelle, who says she’s the supervisor. She suggests I make a complaint on the website or the 1800 number. I will do so, you better believe it. Have a great day!
I bought a money order today.I accidentally paid more and I found it 2 hours later.I went back to the post office and told the woman who gave me the money order, but she said she didnt know. She knows that she got more money.Of course, this is my mistake of not checking properly. But I was very disappointed with the post office worker who was not honest.
I am a native from Flushing, then I moved to Oakland Gardens, and now I live in Long Island. So, I can tell you that the main Branch of the Post office in Flushing, gives you a decent good service compared with the other two towns that I had go to their post office. The post office in Flushing is sometimes crowded for the amount of people that live in the neighborhood that are immigrants, and constantly send packages to their country; but compare with the other two post offices that I mentioned before; I like better the Flushing Branch where they treat you better then in other two post Offices that I have visited. At the end of the story they are a government agencies, and they can not provide you with a private company services. So Be realistic to those who are so negative with your comments about the Flushing Post Office Branchs service that is beautiful and Historical for Queens. Nothing is perfect in life!
Terrible terrible service.I love Usps don’t get me wrong, but there were couple of people who work here are just horrible. They have attitudes, they will tell you to leave if you hold up the line with reasonable questions.Don’t go there, avoid it at all cost. I would take my stuffs to the other one or the one near my work to do business with Usps.Staffs there are not competent & unprofessional. They are horrible!!!One more thing I’d like to mention is that one of my Package got lost after I handed it to one of their clerks.Be aware this scam place full of terrible clerks.
I went to send in my passport application on a Tuesday at 11:30. There are a few people in front of me but I had only waited for about 10 minutes. The lady was nice and all and showed me to another room to file my application after confirming that I had all my materials. The only slight problem is that if you dont speak English, please bring a translator with you. There was an old lady in front of me who didnt speak English and asked me to translate for her. The lady at the desk said Tell her to stop talking, I will only say this once and you have to translate to her, I will only say this once!. The lady then went over the documents very specifically and answered the questions the old lady asked me to ask her. So I guess you might want to bring a translator so you dont hinder your application process and waste time. Another little thing I was slightly upset about was that the other lady who actually did my application didnt smile when I did. But it is a small thing and I guess some people just arent used to smiling...? But my overall experience was pleasant and not as scary as I thought after reading the reviews.
The Clerk Lee was phenomenal. I had an appointment today at 11:30am and I arrived at 11:15am, so she kindly asked me to have a seat and I would be called shortly. Around 11:30am she called my name and I handed her my passport application (already filled out completely beforehand; I had a passport that was expired from when I was a kid, so it was an application for 1st Time/New Application) with my supporting documents. (Original Birth Certificate, Old Passport, Driver’s License, Proof of Address Bills, Social Security Card as well as photo copies of each document. She reviewed my application and asked me questions to further assist me such as “Will I be traveling soon?” (As to potentially expedite my application) I paid with my Debit Card and then she returned my supporting documents (except Birth Certificate and Old Passport, they will be mailed back to you) and gave me a receipt as well.Overall, I was very happy with my experience here at the Post Office today. I don’t know why there are so many bad reviews, but I found everything seamless. Many times we are quick to complain if something is bad, but not quick to praise if something is good. If you don’t speak English, please bring someone who does: it’s not guaranteed that someone here will speak your language.
If I could give 0 stars, I would. The Flushing USPS employs a rude and unprofessional Clerk Supervisor, and they operate in a manner that comes across almost as a scam to make more money off of their customers. An hour ago earlier today, while on line, the supervisor of the clerks asked those on line what they needed (which was good). When I stated that I needed a metered stamp (which is the way I send my letters just to have a receipt that shows where my letter is going), she told me that USPS policy was to not allow metered stamps unless tracking was purchased. I was confused by this because all other USPS offices that Ive visited explained to me that there was no difference between a metered stamp and a regular stamp, and that I could request either one. When I told her this, she abruptly cut me off and stated that placing a metered stamp took time, that my local USPS was wrong and was maybe trying to take the time to track the number of customers (implying that her USPS received more customers than other places and had no time for my request.. not sure about this because the line was rather short here).Well, as the discussion continued, the supervisor raised her tone in a rude manner and I could not comprehend anymore what she was saying (the voices echo in this USPS). The whole time, she came up with excuse after excuse, with not one explanation sounding concrete or factual. The funny thing is, when I stepped up to the #1 clerk on this day, the clerk initially OKed a metered stamp and told me nothing was wrong with it, only to excuse herself momentarily because the supervisor came rushing toward her in the back, apparently advising her not to allow it.Then, when I asked for an explanation, the clerk began to raise her tone herself and rudely interrupted me several times. Haha I wish I had a video recorded because not once did I raise my tone of voice or speak in a rude manner. The staff sitting across from the clerks was at least understanding of my situation. Unfortunately, she could not do much.I just stopped by the Bay Terrace USPS and they allowed it. They themselves were confused by my story and apologized for the mishap.
Today, The Post Office is crowded, and few of customers are applying for passport and renewal, but the CSR(Customer Service Repsertive) was very rude and stating If you can not speak English why are you here? Why are you apply for Passport?. Arent these Customer associates have to be patient and have respect with others. At a final point, the lobby sales associate who was on shift at 10:30 AM is rude and discrimination of the customer who needs help.
The mailman stole my package because they marked it as delivered in my mailbox, I open the mailbox the next day and nothing was in my mailbox, I called the post office and they told me “we don’t have your package and you don’t have your package so we can’t do anything about it” so you guys had my package and lost or stole it? Unbelievable, I had to contact my credit card company to get my money back, this post office is full of theifs
Simply said: horrible service. I went to complete my address change form. The lady who said her name was Olivia gave me a hard time. She initially told me the process took around 10 days, I didn’t believe her. She didn’t explain much and constantly gave me a hard time along with a bad attitude. She said she was the supervisor yet didn’t help at all. I said alright, I wanted to go to another post office and she wouldn’t give my documents back. She said she wanted to hold onto the documents, I’ve never heard such buzz are things before. I asked her to shred or destroy my information so she simply torn them into a couple pieces and tossed it out. I told her I wanted them destroyed more throughly but she verbally threatened me to keep away and didn’t want me to destroy my OWN information. I’m thinking she possibly wanted to steal customers’ personal information. In the end, not only did I not get to change my address but I also wasted so much valuable time as she continued to bicker and argue with me. I really couldn’t stand the terrible service and attitude. Will never come again. Beware, come at your own risk. Watch out please.
As for Oct 18th, 2017, this postal office has gotten a 1.5 star review. What a joke! The wait is always long. By meaning long, I mean hours long! If one can get his business done in half hour, it would be a miracle from the God himself! Why there must be some many closed windows? What takes them so long to check with the supervisor? Oh, the supervisor is even more hopelessly useless; he doesnt even know the USPS system work!No wonder the USPS has got a bad name and losing money, this post office is the answer!
The biggest post office in Flushing, very busy all day. There are always long lines and you have to wait long time that is the biggest problem at this place. There are not enough teller to take care the customers. The PO Boxes section tellers are not helpful and rude had to wait so long. I ask to see post Master had to wait so long. She didnt talk to me just walk away. She wasnt helpful at all.
This post office regularly LOSES our mail and packages that were marked delivered. Had supervisors who were left messages and never returned our calls. On many instances they would finally admit that the packages were LOST somewhere at their post office OR possibly accidentally shipped to another local post office and that they could not do anything about it.Package deliverer doesnt deliver if its not on the ground floor. We caught her tossing upsome fragile health products up the steps and continued to do so 3 TIMES - she would let thefragile small boxes tumble hard down the staircase. These are products that need to be administered to patients and cannot be handled in this unprofessional and crude manner. When we inquired about this and why she doesnt hand them to us,her response was Im not climbing up no stairs!. We asked for her name - her answer was loud and harsh I dont need you to give you no name!! Since that incident - we havent received subsequent packages even though they were marked as already delivered via tracking numbers. Tried to call the postal office. Goes straight to voicemail. They never return the messages.
This post office has the worst service ever!! avoid unless you want to waste. Your time.Went there for passport service. Although the website said they accept passport applicants from 9am to 1pm, you have to be present between 7:30am to 8:30 just to GET THE TICKET, then have to come back to the post office by 9am to GET INTO THE WAITING ROOM which puts all the applicants together, then in the room, the post office personnel would tell you that the application service would begin at 9:30pm. There is usually a line to get the ticket so if you arrive by 8am or later, there is chance that you would not get the ticket since they accept only 30 applicants per day.Once you are in the waiting room, there is only one clerk that handles the service. The waiting time is approximately 20-30minutes per person so lets say if you got your ticket at 10th estimated waiting time is 2 hours. Good luck!
I have to renew my passport. The staff told the time for people to come back. After that, she said theyre late even they came exactly the right time. She didnt explain things clearly. Also, the people behind the window are very rude. They never say please or thank you. They just say move, if youre not here for something, let the person behind you come.
Worst post office. The staff is rude and cant even do their jobs right. The supervisor is even worse. Terrible place. Dont go in for your passport. They are lazy and only take 25 people a day who waits in line before they open like its for a concert or something. Very unprofessional. I had to go all the way by rosevelt field mall to east garden city post office. You just walk in and pay. I left within 5 min. Life could all be so simple without the idiot ppl in it.
Horrible. Ive never visited such a horrible US Post Office like here. The clerk was yelling at every customers. She looks like she doesnt know how to say like a normal person. So many people were on the line, but the lights of each window that indicates which window is available were broken. Many people who were in the line seemed confused, and its hard to know which window was available unless people keep watching every windows like an eagle. The clerk yelled at people about it. She kept yelling like Number 6!!! 6!!! like that. She seemed very irritated.Plus, the delivery service is silly. I got a packaged which was supposed to be delivered next STREET. I live in 146th PL. They delivered to me a package that was supposed to be delivered to146TH ST. I had to DELIVERY the package to the right person instead.
Ive been going here for awhile now and yes its always croweded. There are people who have a fit about the long lines but if you can get past that then I feel its okie. The people at the counters help me get my packages registered fast and give me my exact change with receipt always. They are friendly and theres always a person to asst if you need help or want to buy stamps so you dont have to wait on the long lines.
The worst post office near me. I tried to renew my passport at 11:30am today and they told me that lines are waiting starting at 6:30am and I couldnt be helped. The website doesnt tell you this, it tells you that service stops at 3:00pm. Thats so ridiculous, plus I only seen approximately 5 people waiting at 11am!! I work all the time, so hours and service should be more friendly and helpful. Instead I went to the post office on 78-02 37th avenue and I was helped with no problems at all. You guys in Main Street are the worst
Even when I lived in NYC 10+ years ago, this post office was pretty swank. Its a huge building that most wouldnt even think of as a post office, but indeed it is. Youll likely not spend more than 5-10 minutes in there.. depending on what time you go. If you avoid rush times, then I found all employees to be quite helpful and actually quite friendly.
I never had a problem with the main counters tellers themselves. They are very sweet, courteous, and if something about your package is off, they will work patiently with you. The service is amazing.Cant say nice things about everything else here. Theres only one clerk at the pickup side of the post office, and the wait in that line is usually an hour for me. Language barriers are the biggest reason for the slowdown, Ive noticed. The line is much longer at the regular counters, but they go by as quickly as a busy post office can muster. Then theres actual package handling, as I have lost two packages thanks to these guys. This post office and the Union Street PO use the same delivery people. One of my packages was sent to this one back when I lived in another part of Flushing. I called the main customer support number ten times, each of them telling me my package was tracked to THIS post office, but the staff here would look at my pink slip/tracking number, and just say, no, its not here. go to the Union Street one. They dont look in the back or check their computers or anything. I went to Union Street and they told me Main Street was lying. I go back to Main Street and they said Union Street was lying. THREE MONTHS LATER, I go to the Union PO to pick up another package, and the clerk found an extra package with my name on it. The one I was supposed to receive three months ago. It was a package of home-made goods from my relatives in Canada. Of course, it was all spoiled by now. Thanks a ton!Another package was being sent to me from Europe. It got to this Main Street post office (now that i live in this area), but instead of being delivered to my house, it got sent to Maspeth, then Long Island, then back to Flushing, then back to Long Island, and then it was sent back to Europe.Sending mail is sort of tolerable. if you live in this neighborhood and receive packages, go get a PO box in College Point or something. You will only experience drama here.Dont really know the point of leaving a review for a post office. Its not like we can choose which one our mail gets sent to...
I absolutely hate this post office. Worst service ever. They allowed a thief to change my moms address and we ended up with a debt of $46k and the thief went back to ask where their mail went and we supposedly had an alert for my address. But then nothing happened. They let the thief just walk out. And the workers at the desks are just about the rudest damn racist people on the planet. The delivery service is no better. I recently purchased a speaker from Amazon and this delivery man doesnt bother coming up to the house to drop off one box. Instead, he throws it from the sidewalk up onto my staircase where it hit my door and landed.
This post office is very inefficient. The people working there are very unhelpful and rude. They do not provide an acceptable level of customer service. There are two parcel bins there, one was broken and the other was overflowing with packages. There are no pens so you cant fill out any of the information they ask you to fill out. It should have taken at the most 20 minutes to send my packages today and it took nearly 50. Avoid this post office unless you have some kind of postal emergency!!
I would give a NO stars if I can for this post office. Service is too rediculously slow. There were almost 10 people line up waiting for money order/stamps and only 1 window is open. The guy working behind the window was taking his sweet time. Which at one time he left the window for like 5 minutes and customers were just left waiting. Been here since 9:57am and still waiting for my turn with 6 ppl ahead of me. WTHell!!!!! Why is it so slow?!?!?!?!
Very sarcastic clerks in the package pick up line. Is already difficult to find words when speaking a second language. The USPS manager was consulted about the rude behavior of this employ (Maggie). No efforts from the manager to solve my issue or to understand me but to get rid of me. Seems this is the new era of This Goverment, don’t expect tolerance, acceptance and diversity
Terrible service ever, I had an appointment today at 2:45 for passport service for my little one who is 18 months old, I arrived there at 2:10 and waited for 1 hour, during this 1 hour, the window only served 2 people. At 3:10 ONE HOUR after my arrival, the lady told me your appointment was 2:45, the person 2:30 needed to go first, but those people were late, they came at 3:00. She insist on letting them go first, what the hell of this service, they came half hour late, and she still wanted them go first. Then why you need appointment for this service, USPS flushing. The worst service ever.
All I asked to be added onto my First Class mail was a tracking number, which costs $1.05 (I have done it many times in the past at other USPS locations before). The lady at the counter has no clue what she was doing and made me pay $3.30 for certified mail. I told her thats not what I want, and she said shes not going to send it if I dont get it certified. The person I dealt with has no clue what she was doing; if you speak English, dont go to the Chinese lady there.
This is USPS, i dont know what is the people expectation when they arrive to any USPS location, people just think it is gonna be a quick visit, 1 or 2 hours at USPS is not big deal, 6 hours at DMV is a big deal, so far any time the i came here there is always some employee willing to help the people in the line to get their boxes or letters mailed faster in the machines, for me it is a 5 stars because of that. Thanks USPS, if you could add a free coffee and donnuts machine people will still complaining. (Not me, lol)
One of the worst post offices in Flushing! Staffs are so rude and unprofessional; They are not negotiable and many staffs are not capable of solving problems when customer asks. What makes it funny is the staffs, who lack of the work experiences and communication skills are still qualified for the position. Overall, giving one star because there is no option for zero star!
So, an old lady who is incharge told us to come at 6:30 am. So, in the morning freezing cold, 37 f temperature and people are standing in a long line and one small kid was even sleeping on cold marble stairs with a thin woolen sheet on her. We stood there for 1 hour and 30 min, our toes were getting numb because of the wind. So finally she opens the door and let people in. At that time only she is available for questions. If you were not in line and got there early just to get a form then forget about it. You cannot because she only takes people who were in line. Then we have to get a ticket and come back again to do our passport work. When you get there on your given time you have to wait again. My father did whole process in 1 hour in manhattan.
Very, very busy here as expected if you are familiar with Flushing, Queens. The majority of people here are doing Passport applications/renewals but, the regular service window...yes window as in one makes this a nightmare to wait in line. There are a few automated kiosks and usually a USPS employee to assist at least.
*办护照请读*A white old ‘lady’ refused to provide passport service even though we had appointments and all required documents, twice, because we are Chinese. She is terribly unprofessional, rude, racist, impatient and without manner. All the time she was trying to push us out without providing reasons or related regulations. If you are about to apply for passport, please go to queens county clerk in Jamaica, their staff are a lot more better.
Worst post office ever. I got my passport here and even though I was one of the first ones to wait in line it took me over 6 hours of waiting to get my passport.I live a block away so I thought this would be easy but nope. It would have been faster if I travelled an hour away to manhattan and back than going to this place.
Very disappointed with stuff and service. I moved to another area and post office refused to give me my mail , in fact my passport was not delivered on time and I lost all my trip. Supervisor promised to transfer my mail to my new address. I have waited two weeks and turned out they returned all my mail to senders. Spoke to 3-4 employees and no answered were given. Sadly , I will never again use this post office.
If i can give zero star, I would. This USPS location has a bunch of thieves. Dropped off a package with prepaid label from T-mobile on it. They never scanned it and claims they do not scan it until the package get to the sorting facility. Now the package is lost somewhere, obviously someone there stole it. Requesting surveillance video since they have bunch of cameras, which they yet to comply. Guess next step is lawsuit.
This women(rudely) told us to come at 7am the next day for passport renewal. Waited till 10:30 am, 3.5 HOURS!! And it didn’t even open yet, so everyone—about 15ish people—all left. Like cmon seriously don’t tell 15 people to come so early in the morning when you don’t even open. Wasted so much time not worth it AT ALL. Please go to another post office.
If I could give 0 stars I would, I went to do a passport at this location. No one speaks english, its like youre in a foreign country. on the website and according to the US passport agency, their passport hours are 9:30 and on, but this is a lie. When you get there at 9:25 they will tell you that they are already done for the day, before they even began. The service here is garbage and the fact that they post the wrong information to waste peoples valuable time is beyond ridiculous. DO NOT GO TO THIS POST OFFICE!
I have been living in Flushing for over 48 years and this is the worst post office staff since 1968!!They never leave packages, they refuse to give your package to designated person to pick up. If I dont hear door bell, I am screwed as I HAVE TO FIND SOMEONE TO PICK UP PACKAGE FOR ME. YOU DONT HAVE HANDICAP PARKING AND THE POST OFFICE IS TOO FAR FROM MY HOUSE TO WALK. WHAT IS SOMEONE LIKE ME SUPPOSE TO DO?I am a disabled senior citizen, and they treat me like dirt!!
It was bad before, but it seems to have gotten worse over the years. Though this year, there is less bad, though also less of everything. Less tellers available, less activity (people are probably going elsewhere to avoid going here.) I used to absolutely hate coming here. Hateful atmosphere. Hostile environment. Rude employees. Super super long lines with only a few tellers or just one teller. But this year, its just bland; some tellers have actually been helpful. Which is an improvement from hostile and apathetic! One of the worst and most illustrative experiences Ive had here was a couple of yrs ago, around Christmas holidays. I was at the post office to mail gifts to friends. For some reason I got very sick to my stomach, and was dizzy. I actually started to feel faint and like I will pass out. I had to sit on the floor for a few mins. Some people around me showed care and concern for my situation. I then got very sick and vomited. A post office worker came up to me and yelled at me to clean it up. She was yelling that there are no genitors and no one would be there to clean it up, so I should go get a mop and clean it up myself. Way to go with that Christmas spirit! She didnt show any care or concern about my health. What if I was dying, or pregnant, or needed immediate medical treatment. (It wasnt any of those things, but what if...) She didnt ask me if I was ok or if she should call the doctor or ambulance. This is what I mean about hostile environment. I was shocked. But because it was a challenge just to stand, I simply told her that vigorous activity such as mopping the floor would likely make me more sick, and would make me vomit again, and that its better that I just mail my packages and get home asap. She walked away and slammed the door behind her, loudly. Wow. Selfish, arrogant, and ignorant person. She made me feel like I was in a 3rd world country, ruled by a fascists, not the US in the 21st century.
This is the worst post office I ever came across in flushing main street. The mail carries deliver the wrong mail to my home and they always mix up mail. I have family packages and friend packages delievering to my home and never revieve them. and packages from online delivering to my home and i never recieved it even know it says it got delievered to the post office. I went to the post office and they said that i was not home even though i was and were making exuses. They always have long lines and are rude at the booth. They really need to fix their post office and get it together because this is horrible.
Worst Post Office so far. Would give the DMV a run for its money for its wait times. There are only two open windows at the moment, which makes the wait to at least 30 minutes just to drop off a package. With such a busy post office one would think that the USPS would hire more people.
If I could give this office 0 stars thats what I would do. TERRIBLE SERVICE¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡ Called in advance to know the requirements for passports renewal, got all the info needed but when I arrived there they said I have to be there at 7 30am and get 1 ticket to come back later and do the process. Came back the day after at 7 30 and now a mean old lady said I had to be there at 6am? When this same lady told the day before to a there from 7 30am to 8 30am... even a sign is posted there with this hours.Bad customer service, if people have no patience or too old to work please go home and take a rest but dont treat bad people and dont give wrong information DONT WASTE OTHER PEOPLES TIME.NEVER COMING BACK TO THIS OFFICE OF NIGHTMARE.....
I ordered a package from China recently, estimated arrival date 2 weeks. Totally understandable time to travel half way around the world. It reached Flushing, NY in 3 days FROM CHINA, shipped out directly to me 10 minutes after it arrived in Flushing. A week and a half later, guess who still hasnt gotten their package? Dont worry guys, its not like I live five hours away in Michigan or anything. Even worse, if you try to call this hellish excuse for a post office, you will not reach a person. They do not have an answering machine and USPSs hotline cant tell me what the hell is going on either. Seriously just a ridiculous system of sorry sir, all it says on my computer is that it left Flushing, NY a week and a half ago nobody can tell me where this thing is. If I had known it would be this much hassle, I would have just driven to New York to pick the damn thing up myself.
Sent some expensive items to my friend who lives in NY, Im in Oregon and got the tracking number and sent it express. Well checked tracking as he said it hadnt come when it said it was supposed to be there, we kept checking tracker then when he checks 4 hours after its supposed to arrive the tracker says that it was delivered before noon and to his mailbox and he was there all day. Nope that package never got there and I cant reach anyone. Worse USPS experience I have ever had. Using US or FedEx from now on.
This is a worst Post Office i been in my life. 6 or 7 people walking around and only one window open. If you need to ask anything, they wont talk to you at all, they just look the other way. Unbelievable!!!Unprofessional workers with attitude, who it looks like hate them self, work they do, and the whole world.Disappointed and disgusted !!!
-MUST COME IF YOU WANT THE WORST POST OFFICE EXPERIENCE IN YOUR LIFE.-WORST POST OFFICE IN NYC THAT I HAD TO WRITE MY FIRST REVIEW ONLINE EVER.-IF I CAN GIVE IF NO STARS I WOULD.1.) Incompetent employees. Slow af2.) You have to wait on line JUST TO GET A BOX.3.) 3 MAYBE 4 Tellers to a line of 30 people at all times.4.) God forbid you forget your pens, theyre too cheap to chain one to the table.5.) Dont even forget Tape. They wont even give you sticky labels for your envelope.
The worst post office ever. No one speaks English at the counters, and not to mention there delivery is ridiculous. Ive been waiting for a 3 day priority package that has been sitting at this office for 5 days now. Tracking has not updated. My package took 2 days to get from Texas to this post office and has now been sitting here for 5. Fire every employee in this office, and start over.
I live on Long Island and sent a package First Class Parcel Service on the 11th of August and was told that it would take about two days to get to the address in Brooklyn. It is now the 19th of August and the package has fallen into a black hole called the Flushing Post Office! No one will answer the phone and I can get no update. Very frustrating!! Whoever is managing that office is either incompetent just doesnt care. This post office has to be one of the worst in the country.
After reading all these reviews, I get the sense there is something really, really rotten going on in the Flushing Post Office. We were expecting a large package of merchandise worth a few hundred dollars to be delivered to us. We got an email message saying it had been delivered. However, the doorbell never rang and no one signed for any package that whole day. When we called the post office, they insisted that the package was left at the door. Now normally Id suspect that someone stole the package from our door, but this was a very, very large and heavy package. My only conclusion after reading all the reviews below is that these lost packages at the Flushing Post Office are being stolen by postal employees.Sadly, there is absolutely nothing we can do about it except for post this on Google, in hopes that others who encountered the same thing can chime in and shed a little light on this potentially criminal behavior by government workers.Heres a hint: if you need to ship a package from or to Flushing, NY, use UPS or FedEx. Unlike the USPS, they do have to answer to their customers.
The stuff there is super rude and useless!Just a simple question where is the mail box. The old lady there just give me the paper and tell me next to the window one . Since I could find it . She was yelling that I have “show” it to you 2-3 times. I think she really need to understand what is showing .”bring the customer to the front of mail box” the stuff working there really need to be educated !
It is a very over crowded United States postal service.. the wait time is very long.. the people have to spend a lot of time here just to get simple things done..They also have an area dedicated to processing the passports also.. but it is the same .. the wait time is usually very long.,,They need to keep more windows open so the line moves quickly...The space is small compared to the number of people that visit this Usps location every day..,,
This is the worst Post Office ever. They always have a long waiting line because only few windows open for general services, they never answer their phones no matter what time you called, it just kept on ringing and the package delivery employee assigned for our building (different than regular mail staff) has a very bad attitude.
I went there at 6:30am on Saturday, I thought Ill the first one, but I was there, there were like almost 200 people in line @@. After waiting 3 hours in line, people was talking about tickets run out.... they only served and given out 165 tickets per day..... for me, the worst thing there is only people given out the ticket and no staff announcing ticket running out.
I just got my packaged opened with some things bended. This is my 3rd package arriving damaged & my other 2 came with some missing Amazon orders & the 1 other with the whole box opened up with again things damaged.I went twice over but im met with thats how we receive it from outside of the state so youll have to contact the seller/company about it so from there Im told its the USPS responsibility of the box from Amazon but Im just screwed. This post office is plain GARBAGE.
Ordered an item since july 31 tracked it august 4 nd it said it reached flushing ny post office after that no new updates and have yet to recieve my stuff. Call the post office since i live in Florida they never pick up no matter how much times u call its been 13 days and have yet to recieve my item , very upset with this operation.
THE VERY WORST OF ALL THE POST OFFICES IVE BEEN TO! I have to always set aside the entire day when I plan to go here, because I know that its a waste of time just to get something done. Last time I went there I waited in line for over 35 minutes, when I was the 3rd person from the front the teller/agent said this window is now closed. I was so mad, the STUPIDVISOR had to intervene and stood by to make sure I was taken care of.
I dropped my return package here to Neiman Marcus, and the Neiman return services office received the stuff inside the package is totally difference from what I sent in the package at that day! I went there asked them, and the employees said that was impossible, and they were not able to check any information about the return package …… I am very very very disappointed with USPS!
I never received my package, when i checked online it says they delivered on feb 7th and no one was home. This is a bullshxx, I was up since 8 in the morning and stayed home the whole day on the 7th, and no one ringed the bell at all. This is not the first time anymore! Also, there is no notes left or anything at all!!!!!!!! USPS pleaseee dont be that lazy!!!!!
I live in Eastern LI and send packages all over the world. For the second time in as many times I sent out items through this PO with tracking, and the delivery status was never updated. It has the item being as being processed at this facility and out for delivery and it ends there. I asked them if they could track who the mail carrier was or look for the package and they looked at me as if I was being rude and just told me to fill out a form, that from other reviews I can see will never be acted upon. Would sooner drive into Queens and hand deliver future items than send them through Flushing.
Im currently waiting 1hour and 40minutes to speak to a representative, they dont pick up the phone on this location, I just drove there and ask them why the ignore customers over the phone and they say that the phone isnt working???? They need to hire new people that are willing to take care of customers
They dont answer the phone and dont have enough windows open and let people wait forever in line and most of the staff are very unfriendly . The carrier in my building most of the time doesnt bring the mail( package) to the door and make me or my 88 yr old elderly dad walk to the post office to pick it up and again stand in line.
The usp system is not the best nor the worst, but some time could upset you.a priority piece going to littelneck from flushing ,it when to Brooklyn instead, travel ing from Milpitas ca 95035 to flushing ny 11351 taking 3 days and today 6 days later is sitting in a post off in Brooklyn ,I cant talk to no one with this automated system ,I think this is a BIG problem. And god only know when is going to come.
I WAS HOME THE WHOLE DAY, WAITING FOR MY PACKAGE. THESE PEOPLE DIDNT EVEN KNOCK ON MY DOOR THEY LEFT A RECEIPT AND SAID I HAD TO GO PICK IT UP. ON TOP OF THIS I HAD 1ST CLASS PRIORITY MAIL MEANING IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN HERE 2 DAYS AGO. HORRIBLE SERVICE, ABSOLUTE TRASH. I EVEN TRIED CALLING THEM BUT THE PHONE NUMBER DIDNT EVEN WORK
IF I COULD RATE THIS NO STARS I WOULD. MATTER OF FACT RATING IT 1 STAR WOULD STILL BE CONSIDERED GOOD IN THEIR EYES. I AM SICK OF SEEING THIS MESSAGE ONLINE Notice Left I HAVE BEEN HOME ALL DAY, I EVEN HAVE A LOBBY CAMERA AND THERE WAS NEVER ANY ATTEMPT TO RING MY DOORBELL OR LEAVE ANY NOTICE, THIS HAS HAPPENED MORE THAN ONCE MATTER OF FACT WHEN I WENT TO MY LOCAL POST OFFICE TO COMPLAIN TO THE SUPERVISOR IN HER OWN WORDS SHE SAID SOMETIMES THEY ARE JUST LAZY WAIT WHAT??? FLUSHING MAIN ST POST OFFICE IS BY FAR THE WORST POS(T) OFFICE EVER! EXPECT A YOUTUBE VIDEO OF THEIR SO CALLED ATTEMPTS
They dont even deserve the one star Ive given them Ive been waiting on a package that was supposed to be here 11 days ago and it hits flushing ny and nothing no updates no one answers the phone they hang up on me multiple times Im sick of this place why isnt USPS doing something about this sorry excuse for a post office.

2022-01-12Terrible place to come! I used to come here all the time as a kid, when my parents used to send mail (not to mention the service was excellent back then.) Now? ITS TERRIBLE!!! I came for a money order and that line was long!!! Ive never seen something like it! There were so many people working only for 1 person to be doing money orders! Not only that but the manager was very mean. She was an old Asian lady.. When I asked her nicely, if I was in the correct line she answered me in an angry tone. After a while, she said we can take you over here and I looked up since I didnt know who she was pointing at and she looked at me and said NOT YOU! In front of everyone. Even the person behind me said that was rude. She spoke so nicely to her race but to others she was very rude! It took approximately 25 to 30 minutes until I finally got what I wanted! Waste of time and the workers here are terrible. If the workers dont like their job, why work there anyways?

2022-03-11Giving 5 stars to the asian lady with shoulder length hair thats the supervisor that sometimes asks the line whos paying with credit card at the kiosk.Shes helpful and quick with the kiosk. She helped me twice already at the kiosk. But other than this, the line is super long. 7 windows but only 2 windows are open every time I was there. The wait can easily go up to two hours. Last time I was there I tried to use the kiosk but it didnt work so I stayed in line for an hour and half + then the lady at the window refused to help me bc I didnt want to write my return address. So the Asian lady came out and helped me at the kiosk, completed within 3 minutes.. So basically I wasted 2 hours waiting in line and ended up using the kiosk at the end. Not sure how the Asian lady by passed the screen I was stuck on. If I knew the process at the kiosk would be able to get out of there within 10 mins lol smh

2022-06-03Came here at 1pm and employees all went to lunch at same time? They told us to wait but shouldnt they go alternatively? Also staff is so rude. Three people including myself had a question we said one word excuse me, and when she saw us she just walked away. Waste of time.

2022-06-27Every time I visit the post office, I feel bad. I was standing in line. A woman who looked like a manager helped the girl standing in front of me, and then she helped the man behind me. I watched them all. But then she suddenly asked the man to stand in front of me. I asked her why. She said the man was originally in front of me and moved because of her help. I waited there for over 15 minutes. I said the man was behind me and I kept my turn. But she just looked at me strangely and said OK. Of course, she never said sorry to me.

2022-06-30Often understaffed and missing basic packaging materials like flat rate priority envelopes. There are 7 windows in existence and often there are only 1-2 that are open at a time. The degeneration of the postal office is evident over the years.

2022-01-13I hope give them 0 if I could. There is an old white guy at the counter. His attitude is sooooo rude. I just asked could you please borrow a packaging tape for me or sell it to me? He said we dont have packaging tape. OMG, how come!? There is a rule like the counter cant borrow the packaging tape to customers in the USPS? I used to go to the others USPS, the counter was friendly to help you. The USPS which nears by the Main St is so ridiculous. I wont go there anymore. I have lots of chooses. Not the only USPS, we are bringing the money to your company, not owing to you the money. SO DO NOT SHOW US YOUR UGLY FACE TO US. YOU CAN QUIT YOUR JOB IF YOU DONT LIKE TO TALK TO THE CUSTOMER. No one should suffer from your bad mood or rude attitude.

2022-01-27There is a angry, belligerent Asian lady who works here and will most likely ruin your day. Based on what I’ve read from other people, she seems to have held onto her job as it is difficult to fire USPS employees.Avoid this location at all costs. I thought the DMV was awful, but the experience I had here is unforgettably painful.

2022-06-03I needed to fill out a form and they told me I needed a black pen. When I asked if I could borrow one, they made me buy a black pen for one dollar. Like ????? And she told me I needed three proofs of identification for a passport renewal when I had my passport and my birth certificate. This is a Taiwanese lady who is extremely rude and unhelpful.

2018-12-22Dropped off 3 packages in 3 different days and all the package are missing. One of package is not even show up on the system. They USPS post offices employees are stealing customers package.
