I went by the other day because my employer made a mistake and sent my paycheck to the wrong PO box. Teresa or Theresa (not sure of the spelling) a lovely Asian woman was very helpful and saved the day by locating both of my paychecks which prevented me from having to stop payment and be delayed recieving my funds. I hope this empoyee will get rewarded for her great attitude and work ethic. Happy Thanksgiving to all.
Two years ago I hate going to his place because I have multiple bad experiences with the windows clerk being rude and loud. Recently I noticed new faces at the windows. I really appreciate how nice and helpful they are especially to the Asian ladies who helped me retrieved my package. You can feel their willingness to help and deliver excellent customer service.Shout out to Mr. Mike for the immediate response regarding my package. Thank you so much for your help!!!
Been living in Woodside for 13 years and the service of this postal office has been declining in the past 10 years. 5 years ago they stopped delivering packages. Would leave a note that there was an attempt made but in fact they would not even bother ringing the bell. Then they started delivering packages but misplacing them in different apt units. Happened 4 times in the past 2 years. Once the mail lady was there when we went to pick up the package and saw it was not in the mailbox. We asked her to check if she misplaced the package, she told us she does not have time and it is not her job to check! So we had to wait for the neighbors to find our package in their mail.
I’ve lived in many neighborhoods in queens. This is by far the most gruesome place in all of queens. That’s still an understatement. I had a package worth over $500 and had to get it redelivered (not that any of the mailmen ring the bells to my building), and asked that the package be sent after 5p because most people with jobs are still working (some of us need to lose our jobs ahem!) and still the deliveryman came at 1:30p. I’m starting to think they do this on purpose.
I second the notion of the other commenter below me. I went there to get my package that was undelivered for two weeks without any notice left at my apartment! When I gave a UPS tracking number, the man who appeared to be Asian did not try to help. He went at the back to look for my package that took 2 minutes!! And came back to tell me he can’t find my package! He said there’s supposed to be a post office tracking number other than the UPS tracking number that I have. I even gave him my full name and address but appeared to just doesn’t care about his job! This is absolutely ridiculous. I hope I can give ZERO STARS! Can a management speak to this man? He is working 8/11 at 4 PM!
A**H***. The worse people work at this postoffice. I laughed so hard at their 1.5 ratting because it should be lower. They are always shoving my packages into my mailbox. A lot of the time they damage the item because of it and they have a tendency to lose packages or leave them at my door so they get stolen. Going to the office is no better. They are very rude and nasty. No one is forcing you to work. You can find another job if you are unhappy but dont be nasty with me. I could list all they things they do wrong and for anyone posting positive things, you obviously work there because I have been living at my address for 17 years and have not had one pleasant experience.-Loose packages-Say they knocked and didnt because everyone was home-Delivery to the wrong address-They stated that I refused a package which i didnt and wouldnt because it was a Christmas gift.-left packages in front of my door-Stated they delivered packages and didnt-Shove packages in the mail box
Ive been living in this neighborhood for over 6 years and until 2016 never really had an issue with USPS. I even knew some of the delivery people and were friendly with them as I was used to seeing them. However, over time and as of 2016, this particular location has become an absolute nightmare and Ive had nothing but problems with them. Consistently, pink slips will be left at my door despite me having taken the day off to receive the package (and was sitting at my desk a few feet from the doorbell). No doorbells rung. At all. As far as I can tell, theyre not even attempting to deliver. I feel like its just a person walking around with a pen and pink slips. And ya know, I wouldnt even be mad if they reverted towards a system where you could only pick up packages, if they werent so rude. If you call the place, all you get is a loud screeching noise. Been that way for months. I dont think they bother to fix it because they know theyre going to get yelled at over the phone for all the undelivered packages. If you go to the location itself, theyll take a glance at your slip and say its not there (without actually checking) as if they somehow had a savant that knew every package in the building. This place officially has the worst service Ive ever encountered. Ive personally spoken to a manager multiple times and nothing has ever been done to fix anything. The lady that mans the pickup window is a rude and grumpy lady and needs some coaching in basic customer service.Am I still going to use USPS? Yup. Why? Because Amazon. And I think they know that, and for that exact reason dont care to improve. Because were gonna keep ordering packages, and Amazon is going to keep using USPS and we have no say in the matter (except for paying for 1 day which comes with LaserShip which is just as bad, if not worse)
The service is horrible. In this year they just not delivered my packages 3 times. One service required signature and they posted that was delivered and someone with initials sign for the package! On top of it nobody in my house has those initials!!. Second one they posted that was delivered in my mail box and it wasnt there. Third one they posted that they couldnt delivery it because no access to the delivery location , after this I called to post office number and somebody answer in a very rude manner, I dont know how they put people in the Customer Service Area when they have not idea how to do it!!!! Another lady came to the phone and explained to her what happened and ask please keep the package and will pick it up next day. My husband went to pick up my pack and they said that the truck driver took it already, how come? I was waiting all day and nobody came. Today, my husband went to post office again and they couldnt find the package, then the manager call the truck driver and said that he has it. What is this? The driver didnt even try to deliver the day before and today Sunday was going to delivery it??? The manager said to my husband that any lost package should file a claim and plus they never apologize. She never said, I will talk to the employees who do delivery for stop doing this, because I have many complaints. The worst service ever! They should go back to the school and receive Customer Service classes because their service is very poor
Status and the person on the phone said that the parcel at post office when try to get package from the post office they informed out for delivery and should get by the 5pm but they didnt deliver the package on that day. IF you dont get your thing on right time which is supposed to deliver to someone on the specific day then it wouldnt make any sense if you received it later. They are providing misinformation. ...I hope in future they will improve their services. .
This post office is a wasteland of service and customer care. Every time I have a problem with a USPS package I cringe at the frustration that I know Im about to experience. There have been multiple times when they left a notice on the door of my building WHILE me and/or my wife were home at the time of delivery. Its like they dont even try.And forget about calling them. In 6 years I have never, not even once, had some one answer the phone there. It just rings and rings until you get a weird endless tone.I think they should fire the entire management team and start over.
Id give them zero stars if I could!!!! The people that work there are the laziest and rudest people Ive ever met! My husband works nights and is home all day, how is it that they cant ring my bell and deliver my packages?? I either have to go to the post office and pick it up or get my packages delivered to my friends house! I mean come on, how inconvenient. This time they left my package near the front door or porch. I have no idea where it is and cant even get in contact with anyone at the post office.Simply put THEY SUCK!
I would give this post office no stars but the minimum is one star in order to submit. horrible customer service; no attempt to really assist; package statuses tracked as no access when there was no attempt to deliver. filed a lost package claim because this post office could not locate the package (lost for one week); status changed that same day to delivered when in fact it was not. Went to the post office and left my contact info three times for manager to call. still waiting. i would say ive tried to speak to someone at least 25 times in the last 4 days but nobody picks up the phone.
This review is on passport application and photo service. We had pleasant experience with our toddlers passport application. It is appointment based during the covid-19. We spent around 30 minutes, and the process was pretty fast. We did have to wait a little even with appointment since the staff is busy, but the staff is very polite and professional with our paperwork and taking photo for my toddler. There should be more signage (or bigger sign) and direction for passport appointments. We were very confused when we walked in, and it seems the only way to check was to line up only to ask if that was the right line and possibly miss your appointment. Gladly, a staff at the window saw my confused face and shout out to wait at window 5 (corner) for online appointment for passport. Their photo booth is inside their counter, so dont worry, they do offer photo service if you didnt see where they would have the photo taken.
They dont do their jobs. If it happens once its whatever but for it to happen multiple time is no acceptation. My mother was home all day waiting for my package. She said there was no knock or nothing but it says that the package was attempted to be delivered. So now I have to go and pick it up. Last time I placed a redelivery, the scheduled day passed, nothing had come. I waited the whole week nothing. I had to go pick it up and the lady was extremely rude. Even to the customers before me. As soon as the left she would say something rude. Update: just as I predicted, I scheduled a re deliver just to see if theyd come. They didnt.
Place was quick and efficient despite the line, it took ~5 mins to get served when there were 4 customers ahead of me, then when I spoke to the lady to send my package she was super -quick. No smile, but who cares? Im at the post office to mail $hit, not get my a$$ kissed. On another occasion a helpful employee, possibly the manager showed me how to use the automated machine to send packages and saved me a wait in line. Great! Now when I go I dont even need to speak to a human.Who the hell *calls* the post office anyway? What is this, 1990?
Needs some better management. Packages are undelivered most times and you’re not always left a note on your door (as they are suppose to each timw). If you dont have a tracking number you’ll probably be out of luck if it’s the Asian man delivering your package. Sad system in place here. Needs improvements on quality assurance to say the least. And even when i am HOME ALL DAY one of the worker’s assigned to my building will not even come bring the package upstairs but will leave a undelivered note INSIDE MY MAILBOX. So dissapointed!! Made a request for redelivery & was given a confirmation number and still no redelivery 2 days later!!
They never leave my packages at home, even though our lobby has cameras. I tried everything. Signing up to the USPS website service to give them permission to leave the packages in the lobby, signing the actual paper notifications - you name it. They just refuse to deliver packages.In one occasion the mailman buzzed my intercom, I buzzed him in. By the time I made it to the door because I didnt hear him come in (less than 30 seconds) the mailman was walking back to the truck with my package.My last package was returned because they didnt even bother leaving the notification in my mailbox.Very poor service. No wonder why our postal service is broke. Theyre inept, refuse to embrace technology & actually perform their work. Our tax dollars at work!
This post office has consistent issues with package delivery and pick up. The latest in many issues Ive had of course came right before Christmas. Two packages that were to have arrived I knew through tracking were still to be delivered. I check my mailbox every day. And didnt receive any missed delivery notices till yesterday... Both were BACKDATED by two days. Not possible to miss a package delivery when you dont try to deliver it! ... 3 days before Christmas and the office doesnt have extended hours for package pick up. 5:15 pm and the door is locked tight. So this morning I go to pick up (again they dont open till 8:30am during the busiest time of year and folks have jobs to get to) . There is a line 8 people long in front of me. I dont see an employee helping at package pickup for 5 min. She proceeds to tell the entire line (now there are 5 more behind me) they have to get in the main counter line where there is one person taking packages and only one other employee who is only taking letter mail and stamp purchases. The entire line grumbles and shifts. Not 2 min later she comes out the side door and says next customer . This has truly upset the entire line now at least 12 people long. Only after another 15 min did the office have 2 more people appear from the back and start taking package pickup slips. Low and behold the line starts to move.Very disappointing that in the 4 years Ive lived here the management and frankly customer service (two associates especially were not at all friendly or understanding of everyones frustrations) has not improved at all if anything its gotten worse.I realize its the holidays and a busy time but I truly believe with better management skills this office would perform better.
They arbitrarily change the rules about passport hours, pick ups of packages, etc and then are rude to you when you try to ask questions about the new rules. Never pick up the phone. Is pretty much the worst place ever.Example: asked an employee at the window about the fact that they restricted how many passport applications they will take (only announcing it on a sign in the post office with about 4 misspelled words INCLUDING the word passaport). She told me to go talk to the manager, I wait by the door. No one appears for several minutes. Finally an employee comes out - I ask if she is the manager- she laughs sarcastically and says no without stopping. Apparently the manager is not even there that day! I ask if theres any chance they can do one more passport past their arbitrary cut off that is not stated anywhere and the woman in the back YELLS no no no no and slams the door.This place is hell on earth. America should be ashamed.
The 5 stars are solely for Kisha – she has been such a helpful employee! I haven’t met her before since we were just talking on the phone whenever I would call to ask if there were any mail that came for me and she assisted me like we were friends. She definitely knows what good customer service is. This lady deserves a raise!Some of their employees are so rude and definitely seem like they hate their job (AKA this lady who works for the morning shift). I had my mails put on hold because I moved from Queens to NJ and THEY STILL DELIVERED MY MAIL TO MY OLD APARTMENT! It was frustrating.
The fact that they do not keep any record of shipping, even though I have a copy of the original shipping label, the receipt for postage from my bank, and the precise date and time of their receiving my package, they cannot help me. Their supervisor literally told me they are not sophisticated enough to be able to track packages that way. And since I didnt pay extra for tracking, Im basically SoL Our countries postal service is light years behind UPS and FedEx. Its a joke. With all these comments and reviews, how is the person in charge of this location still allowed to have their job?
I share the same sentiments with others, I received an email from UPS that my package had been delivered by the local post office yet no package arrived. I went to the post office myself and confronted by a rude, ill mannered - caned Asian lady. I was very frustrated because I lost my package. I was told by other employee that the supervisor will attend me, I patiently waited until she told me that their supervisor is very busy, he/she will just contact me, yet no call received from them and when you call their office no one will pick up the phone. What kind of government office is this? What is there primary mission anyway. SLOPPY SERVICE?
I have much respect for postal workers as my mom has been working for the post office for over 20 years. But I would avoid this post office at all costs. Several poor experiences with rude service. All the workers I have spoken with were rude and looked like they hated their job. You don’t have to be nice but just don’t go out of your way to be rude to people.
If it weren’t for the two Asian-American ladies who work there I would go to a different post office. You always feel like you’re bothering the others. One young African-American girl always divides her attention between me and whoever is on the other end of the earphone that’s in one of her ears. I wonder if any higher ups read these comments because it’s been like thus for years and years.
How is it that there are not one but two telephone numbers listed for the Woodside Post Office but to get assistance you need to show up in person? Furthermore they dont follow up when there is a problem with your mail service either. I spoke with a representative yesterday who assured me shed call my place of business today as we have not received mail in a week!! Way to go Sandy I really appreciate the follow up. Forgive me if Im not heartbroken when youre eventually out of a job due to technology and more efficient carrier services!
One star is too much for this Post Office. I have never received such bad customer service in my life. I cannot express my displeasure enough. Both the people and the service are absolutely atrocious. This community would be better off without them. I would love to see them close and a private company come in. They are rude, unhelpful, unobliging, slothful, impatient, lazy, disagreeable, and complete gatekeepers of ineptitude. I recoil ever time I know I have to deal with them. Know that your community despises you and only puts up with your terrible service because youre still a necessary, albeit wasteful and outdated service. Terrible.
This is the 2nd time they simply have decided to not deliver my package and trying to get a hold of them is impossible. They didnt even buzz while we were home, just left a note that said the reason they could not deliver the package because their receptacle was full. I paid to have it delivered by today. They didnt even try. Last time this happened, it was with my medication. Terrible.
Ordered electronics from Best Buy. Package was lost! Mailman noted delivered and left notice 15 min. later, none of which happened. I called to file a complaint with USPS, and scheduled a redelivery as recommended. I also went in person to speak to manager, who claims shell follow up. After 2 days i recieve my package which supossedly was already delivered 2 days prior. Manager calls same day and says she still can not locate my package ( LAUGHABLE ). Ironically she defends her job and says this is my fault for not requesting insurance, and at this point nothing she can do. This post office is careless, non apologetic, and does not follow up!
Workers cant answer questions. Spent over 30 minutes trying to get my passport done. At the end was told that I have to go online for that. They cant even help you make an appointment at the office. Application wasnt working online. Last spoke to Michelle West, she was rude and mentioned the phone number that I can call and then didnt give it to me. Manager wasnt at work. So I had to go home and feel hopeless to get my passport. I guess that is their job
Completely terrible. 2 day priority packaged arrived to them on the fifth after sending on the third. They held it two days. I called them 23 times before I got an answer. Upon answer they told me the package could not be delivered as it was marked with a po box. 2 days later it was mysteriously delivered so I have no idea what package the person was talking about but it definitely wasnt mine. Very rude on the phone. Good luck if your package is going through this post office.
I think I got a package from them--maybe once. Usually, its a pink slip, which makes no sense because I work from home. Delivery attempted? Like, you walked up to the apartment building, and figured it was less work to fill out all the info on the slip than to ring my doorbell? Nonsense.At least the line moves reasonably fast when you go to complete your delivery for them.
The most unhelpful, rude & unfriendly post office ever! The guy “Sai” at the packaging area couldn’t help me locate my package nor bothered trying he told me it was delivered & didn’t bother helping me locate it. I told him that I wanted to know where the package was left or scanned & he just kept saying it was at my home. He then told me to move to the side because I was holding up the line. My package has been misplaced & they don’t even bother helping you or give you any kind of relief. If I could give less than 1 star I would.
I have lived all over the United States and I can honestly say that I have never had as many problems with packages as I have had with the Woodside post office.I had a package sent to me with two day shipping. It should have arrived on a Saturday, but it is now Thursday and there is still no package for me. Everyone in Woodside knows that drivers will randomly decide to leave pink slips and not even make an attempt to deliver the package.At first, they said that there was an attempted delivery at 7 in the morning on a Saturday. Well guess who was awake and would have gotten that package?Then, I requested a redelivery by calling the USPS (not the branch since they never answer their phone). I came home to find that there was no package and also no pink slip.I dont know why the people who work here are so incompetent.
I had a package sent by UPS SurePost, which right from the start, I knew would be a nightmare. The only reason I found out anything was because I checked UPS tracking number. It said delivered by the Post Office on the 14th. Oh really? They didnt leave my package and they didnt give me one of those little orange papers. I went to the office in the hope theyd have it but the guy said Id have to call UPS to get a USPS tracking number, so basically I have to do the work the Post Office should have done in the first place. And it was only a vinyl record--12 x 12 and a 1/4 thick, not big or heavy!
One star is giving this post office to much credit! I can promise you if your package is to be delivered on a Sunday you will never get it. This has got to be the worst post office and they are stealing my packages. My office is opened 24hrs 7days a week, they know this, but since they started delivering on Sundays we leave a note on the door stating we are open but it never fails they continue to lie and say there was a attempt to deliver, but heres were it gets better there is no second attempt (not that there was a first), but heres where it gets real interesting, Amazon has to send me out another package because i never receive the original package. Where are all my packages that i still have not received and Amazon never gets back? I spoke to someone from Amazon today and they are filing a claim and i will also file a separate one myself.It doesnt end there. There has been a couple of times in the past 2 months the regular carrier was off, i caught the new carrier stuffing the whole building mail in one box! I chased miss clueless down the block made her come back to the building and put the mail in its rightful boxes. On another occasion another new carrier left a pile of mail in our hallway that did not belong to anyone in the building, a woman in the building found the mail and returned it. The sad part is, they can get away with this because they are protected by the union and it is almost impossible to get fired, so they can continue stealing my packages and losing people important mail.
I visited this office to apply for a new passport. I arrived at 10:30 am, thirty minutes after the passport window opened. I was given ticket #15 and instructed to wait across the building in the post office box room. There were no seats available and the room was very warm. The line moved very slowly, and by 12:15 pm they were on #13 after a few people left and were not called. Clearly they would benefit from having more than one employee processing passports. There were minimal lines all morning for other mail services, but the passport line just kept getting longer. Overall it was a very exhausting and lengthy process.It seemed like many people were not prepared when they approached the window. If someone was in the lobby helping everyone complete their forms the wait time might also decrease.
Worst post office ever! There needs to be some sort of accountability for this type of horrible service and customer service--especially the customer service. Rudest people I have ever spoken to. There are some good ones in there, but the rude ones leave the worst taste in your mouth. Id try to avoid this one if you can. In fact, I will go out of my way to make sure I dont go to this one ever again. This location for years now has been in dire need of re-management.
What a horrible place. Full of PARCEL post employees who dont even leave the building on sunday but who magically attempt a delivery to your home. Oh and of course you werent home to receive that package..why would you be? Its not like you were expecting it or have the ability to track the damn thing? Best part? You get the yellow missed delivery slip 2 days later, delivered by a letter carrier who is none the damn wiser and cant be bothered to go the extra mile and bring the package back instead of the freaking SLIP. What a damn joke. The sad part is Amazon has some sort of deal with them to make these deliveries and they can give two craps whether they do or not.
This place is a testament to the failure of bureaucracy. No idea why theyre still open because every review is terrible. They will never deliver your package, they just mark it as delivery attempted as soon as it gets to their office. Then they send a carrier the next day to leave a pink slip. Cant believe theyre still keeping this place open. I just filed a report with USPS because this nonsense has gotten out of hand.
I would give it a zero for service if I could. We went to go to renew my brothers passport, we went to the place at 8:30 am as instructed, and to this we see people who were waiting from 6 am! I am disgusted and to see everyone elses reaction which was frustration. I have been here many times and so have other people I know and not once did we have a decent experience. I am sorry and Im no troll but this is a nice place but it is run by people with terrible attitudes.
🖓🖓1 star is too much if you ask me. This place is a -5 star in my book. And having family/husband that works for the USPS i have a great deal of respect for them. But this woodside location is S*** the clerks are very rude and unfriendly. The phone line is always busy and even with a pink slip tape to my mail box for days no mail carrier ever picked it up. So i go online and request for redilvey of my package and F**king nothing happens . I have to go in and deal with nasty worker to finally get my package. And honestly this isnt my 1st rodeo with them ether. Crazy that we have to put up with them.
Absolute worst post office. The supervisor informed me that unless you purchase your shipping from an agent and he scans the package for you, your stuff is up for grabs for the employees to jack. Several of my packages have been lost which is only code for stolen and selling on eBay. Ive watched as the truck stops on my street and just goes around leaving notes on doors or in mailboxes They dont even bother to ring the bell. My carrier is nice enough, but as a whole operation, they are the worst. They should be investigated and shut down.
GOOGLE!!! MAKE A SPECIAL OPTION WITH M I N U S S T A R S for these facility!!!!!!!!!!!Losing my nerves, my time and money&&&&&&&&&!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Package delivery service NIGHTMARE!!! Even I was home at the time of delivery and made a note within my address: Deliver to apartment door please NOBODY EVEN RING THE BELL !!!!! and left package unattended SO IT DISAPPEARED or simply stolen the package !!!!!Seller pushed me to wait over a month to let USPS finish the investigation, then the results were : PACKAGE WAS DELIVERED WOW really impressive conclusion after 40 days !!! Did they hire Sherlock Holmes or WHAT ??? So NO PACKAGE---NO MONEY &&&&&&&&&&Another package ...they didnt reach me so redelivery was scheduled next day, but EVEN THOUGH I STAY HOME A WHOLE DAY WAITING... I didnt get my package ( or WAS STOLEN AGAIN) amazon called them...I talked in person to Post Offices manager NO HELP!!!! NOBODY TO TALK TO!!!!!Im wandering what U S P S shortcut means???? For real??? Maybe Unpredictable Scum of Package Service or something similar and more non formal!!!You cant call their customer service if you dont have at least 30 min time to waste...You cant call local Post Office because nobody pick up (at least in Woodside)....You cant email them because their website sucks and reload every 30sec....And many more... they really customer service specialists!!!!So now the only solution for me is to rent PO Box in one of the Post Office locations and spend my money because of their LACK OF PROFESSIONALISM!!!!And to be honest with you Im a little scared because its probably gonna generate a new problems...But I guess I have no choice.... I been calling since 930 to find put what happened to a packaged. That they said could not be delivered cause of reasons. No note to even tell me that had happened, when I order a reschedule they told me Saturday they would do so. But never did. Called the office no answer called FEDEX main office told me to call a number that would just ring. Or busy tone.
A super helpful clerk, Kisha, provided me with all the information and forms that I needed in order to obtain a new passport, including how to obtain it quickly. This included passport photos , which was convenient, but I later discovered that I paid more that I would have at a number of local shops that offer this service.
The worst. Id give them zero stars if I could. They consistently lose my mail, theyve delivered packages to me that are addressed to buildings three blocks away, and theyre completely unhelpful when you try to get the mail/package that theyve lost. They tell you theyve delivered things that have never been delivered -- at least not to the correct address. I really think theyre all brain-dead illiterates -- and they get away with it! AWFUL.
I live on 4705 45th ST... it s in sunnyside neighborhood, but the zipcode is in Woodside, pain in the ass that we always miss our mails, and we had to go pick up at Woodside post office almost all the time..Last happened (08/04/15) we tried to make them redelivery couple times because I am always home but they never ring the bell, but they only leave the us notice to pick up by ourself ... i figured it out later that they never ring our bells apartment.Today (08/21/15) I was waiting since 9am to hear they ring the bell, i couldnt know what exactly time they would come.. but at 2.30pm i went to check my mail box!! there we go again, No bell ringing BUT the notice again, so i check online that the case is closed because they cant reach us in person while the notice is signed to leave package at the apartments door. I Check my Mail box every single day and night.....NOTE: the notice said TODAYS DATE 08/19 ... and available for pick up after 08/20 ...HOW is that possible???? today is 08/21... how did they leave the note from 08/19 on the date of 08/21??? and said the case is closed????I woke up since 9 am waiting to hear them come just to ring the bell and give us the thing!!!!Why there was no bell ringing but just a notice from 2 days ago and you drop it today???Disappointed!! i hope i can chose the post office to be in sunnyside so we can just walk there a block away to pick up everything by ourselves.I wish ...1. when we order online we could chose the post office branch ...2. Went to get my passport. I got there at 9 am, got a number and waited. At 10am they told us there was a delay and that the person would come in at 11am . I come back at 11am and wait and then the person has to go on break at 12pm, she wont be back for an hour.what kind of service is this. They come late take a few people and make people wait more. Its ridiculous how they work. And they wonder why the post office is going out of business. They have long lines and povide no good service.
I dont usually care to waste my time writing reviews, but this post office certainly deserves the 1 star rating that it received. I would have given it a negative value if it were possible. For a governmental agency, these individuals are a bunch of irresponsible lazy rude employees. I dont know how they screen the individuals prior to hiring but it looks like a bunch of monkeys can do a better job. They must have been handing out postal jobs at Walmart. These fools are constantly loosing my packages, and mishandling them by delivering the items to the wrong place. Not to mention sometimes they just leave your item outside your house so anyone walking by can steal them. Pathetic to see how the government uses our tax money to pay and hires there under qualified rejects of society.
This post office has bunch of low life, uneducated, unethical employees! They think theyre Government employee! Guess what! you are an independent agency of the federal government! The federal is paying you to do your job and to serve! A bunch of useless human beings! I will research this certain location and file a complaint! I will even put it on facebook!
Worst service ever. Not helpful and very rude. Doesnt ever answer the phone, just get rid of it. They dont ever ring our bell to deliver packages, but lazily leave a slip and expect us to go to the post office to pick it up. They claimed my address wasnt correctly posted, so then howd you know to leave a lip for me? They even shipped my package back to the shipper. they never answer when i call, do they expect me to leave work just to pick up a package? Like who can i talk to to complain??!!
Was home whole day tracking & waiting for a package.All of sudden the tracking status says Delivery attempted, Notice Left (No Secure Location Available)No one came nor any notice has been left.Tomorrow the regular mailman will slide in that missed delivery slip as they usually do but not the package. And this is not the first time.

This place is horrible. My package tracking states that is has been in the neighborhood for 3 days now. The status changed from out for delivery to ready for pickup. I go to this location and they tell me they havent received it and that its in the truck and i should see it later. Its been 3 days! The truck passes by so i asked him and he said he has nothing. These people literally NEVER pick up the phone. Ive never dealt with customer service so unhelpful.

THE WORST - still getting pink notices to pick up articles that are supposed to left in our building post office parcel room as INSTRUCTIONS for Virtual Doorman explain.Tried calling. NO ANSWER. Experience at this post office is horrible! Was here since 8:15 and had to pick up a package,9 am and there still was nobody at the window for pick up.Not to mention I rescheduled the pick up for Monday to be shipped again at my home and they never showed up.Incompetent people,Nasty attitudes!
Very rude and unhelpful staff.This post office only offers passport services by appointment only. Go to their website and make your appointment online.Or you can go to the Post Office in Jamaica. They take walk-ins for passport services but be prepared for a 2 hour wait.
Never delivers! Home all day, no buzz, and no pink slip until 1-2 days later! They dont even bother to attempt a redelivery when you schedule it. Why do I even have to deal with this place when I live two blocks from the sunnyside PO?!I loved my old PO, this one is the worst I have ever had.
This is by far the worst US Post Office I have ever been to. I rather go to the Sunnyside branch. They are very disorganized and EXTREMELY RUDE to their customers even senior citizens. It is also dirty. I believe it is time for a shake up here and transfer them to different locations.

My mail is always missing. They even lost my passport at this post office!!!! Everyone at this site meets to be fired especially the carriers, i always get other address mail to my home and my mail ends up to other address even when the address is printed correctly on the top. Very unprofessional employees, I went there for my passport application and the line was very long. I understand that the location is small but the employee kept moving us to different area where is was crampy and made other customers uncomfortable who come to receive their mail there. Overall bad customer service.
They never actually attempted to deliver to my door, they just claim they do. I end up having to pick up ALL of my packages. When I call they just give me a pointless attitude, Im just calling to make sure my package is still there so I can pick it up since you guys are too lazy to do your jobs.
Weve lived here in Woodside for one year now and both of my husband and I work from home. Over 60% of times we do not get the delivery. They either leave the pink sheet without ringing the bell, or dont even bother to leave the pink sheet (online it says its delivered, yet no pink sheet in mailbox till the next day)If request for second delivery, same thing happen, or simply just nothing happens.We used to live in Elmhurst for two years (which is right next to Woodside) and it wasnt as bad. At least the things get delivered. At least they do ring the bell.Of course 40% of times, it does work as what it should be, but seriously, I do wish they can improve it as a stander business with some more adult responsibilities.

This place is like the post office of the apocalypse. Im pretty sure they have an aged and cantankerous Kevin Costner out back waiting with a decrepit old horse to courageously hand deliver your mail across the barren wastelands. Will he make it? Probably not. Will you ever see your mail or be reunited with your packages? Probably not.
Ugh - dread coming here whenever they dont make an effort to get inside my building. Maybe, el presidente is right and the Post Office should be audited. Theyre just awful when it comes to service. At least privatize it so they have real investors to account for rather than have taxpayers subsidize their poor service.

After dealing with the usps main automated # (no cust svc at 1pm on a Wed). the woman i talked to at woodside usps, picked up on the third ring, was very nice and gave me as much info that was on her computer. she then speculated as to what probably happened (pkg mis-sorted) and what will most likley happen with my missing pkg. (del later today) will update when issue is resolved
This Asian woman called Danielle has an attitude. You can tell by her annoying face that shes already so tired of her job and seeing ppl picking up the package. I usually wouldnt bother with any customer service person in any post office location but this woman is a typical one. Too bad if you have to visit this location you would find it so hard to find a temporary parking on the street.
I stay at 42- 31 64th street woodside 11377 and was mailed me from uscis and when I checked online it was written undeliverable and returned, we stay in flat with roomates and the maill box is from house owner registered, and we all people get mails easilly, but why returned back my mail...? I had sent a package to the same country with the same details for $14.95 a couple of days before, also I doublechecked it online and the cost should have been $14.47. ((First Class Mail Intl. I have a very bad experience with this PO...They lost my priority express time sensitive documents and dont know or can’t track the documents at all ....It was a nightmare...I would never recommend their service very unreliable and cannot / will not consider their services from now on.... 2022-06-05A couple weeks ago I went to send a birthday present to a friend when I walked in on a customer reading the clerk at the far end the riot act for not sending her package. Later as this clerk (note the description; dark hair, glasses, short, older and light skin allegedly goes by the name Theresa ) was “helping” me the same customer forewarned me this clerk steals packages and I reasoned it away that she was just venting. I should have listened to this customer and walked right out with that package as she was going out of her way in helping me repack it so she could help herself. My birthday present to my friend never made it and stealing mail is federal offense especially if you are a federal employee. And this just so happened on the same day an Amazon order I had delivered to my house was stollen from my stoop.

2022-06-06I was waiting on line for 15 minutes on passport window to ask about an issue with passport exactly today’s date and time and when I had my turn the lady with a nasty face looked at me and ask, you have appointment? I said no I just have one quick question and she without telling anything else made signs with his hand calling the person behind me and kicking me out of line just like that, this kind of people isn’t not what we expect when visiting customer service at post office, it made me feel humiliated and lost of interest about this place at all. That’s not how you suppose to treat people.

2022-07-07On July 1st, my family and I went to renew my son’s passport. We had waited for more than an hour to get our service even though we had an appointment. Unfortunately, I couldn’t renew my son’s passport because my ex-wife wasn’t present. One of your employees named Cynthia said we can come on July 6th at 9:00 A.M. I double checked with her trying to make sure she put us on the schedule. She said it would be fine. So, we went home and waited until the 6th. We woke up earlier than usual just to get there. This time my ex-wife was there. When we spoke to the Asian woman at the desk, she said that our appointment wasn’t on schedule and Cynthia wasn’t there. Luckily, there’s another younger Asian woman took care of us. That lady Cynthia is so inexperienced and irresponsible. She took 1 whole hour just to finish taking care of one customer and told us to come back early without telling her colleagues about our appointment.

2021-11-05There was absolutely no line and the lady in the booth refused to take me. I felt like I was bothering her while she was having her coffee. Bottom line she refused to take my package and forced me to us the self check out machine. I always make the line when it comes to my fragile or large packages because I feel better handing it to them then tossing it down a hole. Then the manager got involved and told me the same thing that it has always been like that meaning they cant take my package at the counter that I have to self check out with machine. Mind you half the time the machine isnt working. It is upsetting because I have a small business and I spend over $200 monthly in mailing out packages! The worse part they had huge attitude and were yelling at me the whole time. No wonder machines are replacing humans nowadays!

2022-06-17I went into this post office today on 6/17/22 & the first window it’s a Chinese lady very nasty & un helpful she didn’t help me wit anything she told me I had to pay $4 dollars for a piece of tape so I can return my package she then told me I couldn’t return my package here I got back on line & was help at window #4 very nice brownskin lady she helped me with everything my package was able to return thanks to the help of window #4 Black Lives Matter 🤟🏼💯

2022-01-03Waited in line for twenty minutes just to make sure the package i was dropping off - with postage already on it - was scanned into the USPS system. Only for the woman behind the counter to tell me ~they dont do that anymore~ and I should wait on line for the machine where i can do it myself (even though it doesnt result in the same thing - it still wont show that its in the USPS system, only that you scanned it at a kiosk) In any case, i realize the USPS doesnt NEED to actually care about providing decent customer service but this was just rude. Miserable people exhausting what little authority they have in their day to day lives. I miss my old post office 😔

2021-10-05I went there to get my daughters passport done and I was very happy with the postal worker that helped me, Theressa. She was very polite, friendly, and professional.. She took passport photos of my daughter, did all the paperwork fast and without any waiting. Explained everything to us and even gave us photocopies of her birth certificate. Our appointment was on time and not delayed. Entire process didnt take more than 15 minutes. Post office looked clean and organized as well. 5 stars all the way!

2021-11-10Ive been going 2 this post office for a very long time & all of the employees are very friendly, helpful & maybe somewhat patient. The money orders & stamps has been going up since Ive been there. And all of my VERY most important packages & always get 2 the addresses on time, & they even have these postal stamp machines which makes it easier 2 avoid the longest lines & last but not least, they too also follow the CDCS rules very carefully. I also love the fact that the Post Office is right in my neighborhood which makes it so extremely convenient!🙂👍
