I am so thankful for this post office. The staff is always friendly and helpful. I go there at least once a week and my experience has always been a pleasant one. Even during this difficult times with Covid-19.
Best post office in NYC. Short lines, never had an issue with any of our packages.

Had a great pleasure working with Ms. Solange Henry today, she was very polite and friendly, greeted us the second we walked in through the front door. She helped us found our package even though we didnt bring a notice and we were able to pick it up within a few minutes. Very satisfied as a customer and I have regain my hope for USPS.thank you Ms. Henry
Have only had poor experiences with this post office. Even if Im not having a problem theres usually someone in a shouting match with the manager anytime Im there.But today was the worst experience yet. I got a text message saying my packages were delivered. No one bothered to ring the doorbell, and not only were the packages left in the rain, they were blocking our storm door!! We couldnt push the door open to get it open to get the package.When I called and spoke to the supervisor she argued with me and never took responsibility for the poor service. Unbelievable.
My regular carrier is wonderful, no complaints whatsoever. Every time there is a problem it is because he was off that day and someone else took his route. I have been home all day with the flu. Regular mail was delivered at 7:30 pm. I was expecting a package today. When I checked the tracking number, the information I got was that a notice was left and there was no secure location. I have seen them throw packages on the porch from the truck recently. I called to ask that they at least ring the bell if they are leaving packages. Today, I have no package, nobody rang my bell, and I also have no notice that they say was left. Maybe they were upset when I asked them to ring the bell. Delivering mail or attempting to deliver mail is their job, especially if I am home. Not the first time this has happened. Disappointed. I ordered something through Amazon I had no idea they would ship it through the post office I checked my order on Amazon it says your package was delivered today@1:51 pm left on your front porch or driveway I went outside to get it only to find out it wasnt there. I checked with Amazon they tell me it was delivered via your local post office I chatted with Amazon they checked and said yes the post office has it down as delivered. It was never delivered I checked with neighbors they dont have it. This post office here should be shut down its by far the worse I have gotten mail for on the other side of juniper so many times If you go there to the post office you get nothing but rude workers and yet our government has no problem with this place.
This post office should be shut down. In the past month my family has lost 3 packages. We get a notification that there is no access to the facility to deliver the packages. Yet, we get mail and usually other people’s mail too. How can there be no access??? We call up and they tell you it’s on the truck for delivery. Finally we call up to find out the order was shipped from the place the order was placed. Then we wait until they credit our credit cards. I hope to see this place SHUT DOWN!!!!!
Oops missing package, went there to ask if my package was miraculously there since tracking history showed delivered but I never got it.Customer service clueless rolled eyes gave me phone number to investigators to file a claim and thats was it. I spend two hours calling and trying to speak to someone but calling system is set up that you will never speak to anyone. At one point I was on hold for one and half hour.Moreover my tracking history showed google maps with the address where the package was actually scanned and left guess what not my house but they used as my address .So when sending package via USPS you must hope and pray it will get to honest people, lesson learned.
Most of these NY post offices are run by the laziest damn people. The mail carrier does not attempt to ring the bell to leave a package. They just put the work off onto someone else. On top of that, if theyre going to be so lazy, extend your hours. Their 9-5 hours are just as bad. These overpaid scumbag mail carriers were not raised right, and do not deserve our respect.That being said, I have had dealt with the counter employees, and they are pretty decent. Some are top notch sweet. Its a shame the mail carriers ruin that grading on the post office.
This has to be the worst post office I’ve ever seen. A package was dropped off 8 days ago to be sent to Pennsylvania only 2 hours away and it’s still sitting at the middle village location. They have no explanation as to why and trying to get someone on the phone is impossible. Do not drop anything off at this post office

Lets see.....how about NO SENSE OF URGENCY!!!!! When Im in line, I feel like I start aging before I finally get to the window. When I get to the window, the clerk is so slow and not friendly at all. Whatever happened to customer service? Can they at least say Hello or Good morning or a simple smile would be nice. How about pretending that you care.... I have been to other post offices and they at least try to move faster.
Terrible!! Theyll deliver your package wherever they see fit and not bother to tell you where either. They wont ring your bell to make actual deliver attempts before they do so either. At the actual office, the lines are often ridiculous and the service very slow. If you have another option in the area they service, use it -- Fedex, DHL, Santas sleigh are all preferable.
This place has some of the worst, most rude customer service that Ive ever encountered. Every time I call up, Im kind/friendly/respectful and they ALWAYS give sarcastic remarks and/or hang up on me mid sentence. It never fails. This happens all the time with my family as well. If I could give them a 0 Star rating or less, I would. They need to find new jobs.
This is the second time that the mail man for my area has skipped delivering mail. Don’t know why, but regardless, shouldn’t there be somebody in place of him if he does not deliver the mail? This is extremely unprofessional - I was waiting on something important and the fact that the mail never arrived and this is NOT the first time this was done, makes me very displeased and extremely frustrated with the way the mail service operates. Would give 0 stars if I could.
Worst customer service ever!!! Why do you hire incompetent people that are incapable of delivering packages when THAT IS THEIR JOB!!! saying they left a notice meanwhile there was no notice at my building, oh yes must be invisible. Why do I have to pay extra fee to get 2 day delivery but my package doesnt get to me until a week later due to this dumb post office..I really wish I could not be zoned to this zip code! Terrible customer service, second time my package is no where to be found. Seriously how hard is it to deliver a package!!!! I try to avoid this post office as much as I can and try to change delivery location but sometimes it wont allow me and unfortunately I have to come here and hear same stupid manager give me oh i dont what happened?!? This is probably the worst US Post Office Station in America. The window personnel are rude, uninformed about USPS business policies and systems, and do what they can to shirk their job duties at the window. In past years, I have had to bring my payroll checks to another station because some of they were continually lost in the mail. When I used the Forest Hills or any other Station, they all miraculously arrived at their intended destinations.The management is non-responsive, highly inaccessible and completely ineffective in addressing complaints. Go elsewhere if you can. They will either insult you, treat you poorly, or simply lose your mail.
Have never had a problem with this Post Office. Staff has always been pleasant and accommodating. There have been long lines at times, but this is to be expected.
This is a dingey Post Office located on Metropolitan Avenue in Middle Village. The outside is very unkempt, with overgrown bushes and dirty windows. There are frequently lines that move at a moderate pace. The staff used to be very unfriendly, and even a bit nasty, and less than accommodating. (It seems to have gotten a tad better). For the very few times that I actually utilize snail mail, this will have to suffice.
Always good service, if theres a line sometimes you need to be patient and wait a bit.
Post office Sucks. They always say they delivered your package and they never do. They are rude and told me to go find the package myself to get a map. Who does that. Poor customer service. They need to hire new people who actually want to work and not be lazy or rude!! Every time I call the phone is busy no one ever picks up.
Anna at the service counter is one of the rudest, most disrespectful people ive had the mispleasure of deaing with. I don’t understand how people like this can keep a job, a federal job nonetheless. I rather get my teeth pulled with no novacaine than have to deal with anna from the middle village post office!
Always get my stuff. Never had a problem. Wish they had more boxes and supplies for packing a delivery (ex. they dont have padded envelopes).
The worse post office around this area, not sure of what her name is but she’s the colored lady with very short hair kinda like a crew cut. very nasty and rude. Makes me wonder if they even interview these nasty people that they have working there. People like that don’t even deserved a job
I have to say that the service has improved. The people at the counter have a much better attitude and are pleasant to deal with.
The new year would be made if this location shut down and was replaced with something else, anything else.The staff is beyond rude and management does not care a lick. Service is terrible(theres a few good ones) and slow, its in a bad location with no parking and nowhere to pull over making it NOT handicap accessible.If you want one less annoyance to deal with, go elsewhere -- this location will probably thank you.
Visited once during a week around 1p.m. Its a small place but cannot complain.Although there were few people, everything went smooth.Wouldnt hurt, if a post office was open until 6p.m.
This place never opens on time. Theyre supposed to open at 9 am but they wait til theres multiple people. Plus everyone of them gives attitude and on numerous occasions they lost my package . This place needs to be shut down immediately
Ive never had any problems at this particular location. The staff is helpful, polite and resourceful. They get things done in a timely and professional manner. Lines usually arent too long and the waiting time is reasonable.
Can not stand how rude these people are. They are constantly rude, and often hang up on me when they get frustrated because THEY made a mistake. I have been kind/friendly/understanding each time BUT Im truly tired of them. That place needs a big change.
These people dont even know the meaning of Customer service. They need to change the entire staff, they suck. Im sure there are people that would Love to have there position. I have tried to call to complain instead of writing it here, but they make it almost impossible.

Everytime i go there is always a greeter, I typically spend less than 10 minutes there. The employees are very nice.
Dont come here if youre in a hurry! Stay away from here by all if youre looking to do things fast, Line is always long and will take you awhile to get to a person if that window is open actually.

2022-06-20Although this is not my home post office, I usually come to Middle Village as Ive never had a problem with a delivery when I used them for my now closed Ebay business or personal endeavors.I have known Anna for many years and I can safely say she is one of the warmest persons you will come across. Today, I came to her with an unconventional problem that I exacerbated by having a bad Internet connection that was not at all her fault. She could not have been nicer in going out of her way to help me. Anybody else would have given up but her outreach was inspirational. I clearly have a lot to learn from her as I confess I do not have much patience with people at times. Anna treats everybody with respect, dignity and transparency. There are persons who seem to become galvanized when they realize they can make somebodys day. The only reason United States Postal is still around is because of the dedication, discipline and generosity of kindness that is the embodiment of Annas graceful personality. This interpersonal magic comes but once in a lifetime.Thank you again Anna.

But the people inside the building terrible yelled at, punching and throwing your items, throwing your receipt at you and, denying service! Their is only one person at the registers that is the sweetest person you will ever meet but besides her if you wanna feel small and disrespected you go to this post office!!

2022-03-24Told me they left a notice, no notice at all only when i checked my phone to track it. Then when i came to try and pick it up they got mad at me for not bringing a slip and looked at me like i was some insane person even though i wasnt given a single slip and when i tried to show her she closed the door on me.

2021-05-22This is literally the best post office I’ve ever been to. The staff are friendly and helpful. It’s small, but the line usually moves fast. Ingrid is so sweet... whenever I come in with my two daughters she always gives them a little surprise. She also is always there to take the prepaid packages and pickup slips so that you don’t have to wait on line.

2020-12-04Our usual delivery guy is wonderful and friendly, but sometime if someone took his shift, thing goes from good to hell. Today I stay by the door for my package from 10 am to 7 pm. Plus I am not the only person at home. Well, no one ring the bell nor knock. There is no mail left and no package at all. I checked online and display Notice Left (No Authorized Recipient Available). There is no notice. I think I am talking about the same guy another review has mentioned. I hope they find out and fire that guy...or at least never let him takes the shift of our usual guy. These have happened a few time and it is always no package + no mail + no notice I am starting to suspect he just not doing his job.Update 12/27/2019I am giving them one more star because they are being very good this year. Picking up package became much faster and easier.Update 12/4/2020After almost one year from my last update, I am going to give them the 5 stars. Today my parents were busy at the other end of the house and missed the doorbell, assuming the package would be left on the porch. They opened to check later and see no package or paper left, the mail carrier lady was faraway at this point.BUT GUESS WHAT, she actually went back to the truck to wrap the package in plastic wrap so it can stay on the porch with protection from the rain! (Our neighborhood is very safe so it is perfectly fine to leave package on the porch).I have never seen such a wonderful carrier service in my entire life, this is amazing, fascinating! This carrier lady is god-send! Bless you, your family, and your co-workers.I attached a photo of the said-package, to prove I am not making it up.Thank you for your service.

2021-04-02This is my neighborhood post office & has honestly been my lifeline to family & friends during Covid. I may not be seeing people but I am mailing cards & packages. The staff here are always professional & friendly. Thanks for all the hard work!

2020-02-14The delivery person now is insane. He/she never delivered my package this Monday and the tracking said delivered on Monday. So I lost my package and missing another one today again. I was home and no one came from USPS then the tracking says it was delivered today and left in the mail box. No and No . No one rang the bell and nothing left in the mail box. And I found a bunch of letter mails for the wrong addresses. Letter from 3 different addresses and The addresses are totally off.Even took a picture of them now. Are you kidding me?
