I wish I could give this facility 0 stars. I placed an order with a supplier from China which was sent in 2 parts, one day apart. 1 of the packages was routed through here and within 2 days was marked as insufficient address and returned to China!!!! Both packages had the same address on them which I received evidence of from the supplier. And the other package that did not pass through this facility was delivered with no trouble at all. I live in the Caribbean so apart from the inconvenience of not receiving my package I was inconvenienced financially since I placed several calls to USPS trying to resolve. My case is still open two months later, I have received no feedback and consumer relations cannot assist even after I have emailed them proof of the address from the supplier. They requested a picture showing the address on the shipping label on the box that was returned and the supplier was able to provide. I also have to pay additional to the supplier to have my package re shipped. Very poor USPS. I have just seen that the reshipped package has reached your facility again and can only pray that the efficiency at your office has increased!
They definitely steal packages. My package last known place was this postal office and it hasnt been update since a month now. The 1800 number doesnt help at all and no one seems to care that packages are being lost. This is supposed to be a trusted place why would they even hire people that frequently steal. It is illegal to open mail that is not under your name yet people that work there are getting away with this. What a shame, I am so disappointed. These are peoples money and personal items that theyve worked for and used their own money because they have earned it and instead these employees of a trusted postal service find it so easy to open things and keep for themselves. Now my money is gone and my package is gone. There is no way to get a refund and someone out there is happy with a free package. I suggest better monitoring of employees and security check points to make sure they do not leave the facility without anything other than what they entered when they clocked in. This is not the first review of stealing. Something must be done.
Today I had to send express package to IRS. I came to the office around 4:45PM. There was 4 people in front of me, and USPS staff was just chatting with each other and didnt help any clients at the time. They got back to work in around 7-10 minutes. By the time my turn came, it was 5:01PM. Clerk told me that they can accept packages until 5PM ONLY. She also showed me a ton of attitude for no reason. I asked to speak with the manager, his name was Peter Wong, he showed me attitude as well and didnt accept the package. I will never use USPS in my life. I wish I could give them zero stars here!
How has this place not been audited and overhauled or shut down? Like hundreds of other people apparently, I am having a horrible experience with our postal service. I ordered a motorcycle part from Italy on 8/25 and paid $58 for Priority Mail Express International. The part arrived in NY and was transferred to this distribution center on 9/8. Its been sitting there for 10 days now and after numerous calls, emails, cases, and complaints to the USPS (and even a 3rd party inspection agency), I have gotten ZERO help, just a bunch of blame shifting and responsibility avoidance. The 2 times Ive actually heard from someone, I got Sorry, we cant help you. Youll most likely have to wait a couple more weeks. What did I pay for????? All I want is the service that I paid for. Im very disappointed in our postal service and sickened by the utter lack of accountability on all fronts.
Every international package that I have ordered gets STOLEN here. Whether its from Japan or Slovenia, they take it. If your package sits there for a week or so and you still get it..what they do is set it aside to take a peek...if they dont want the item, then you receive your item. It has happened, packages they dont want in the past, comes resealed/repackaged. If your tracking number says: Processed Through Facility, it should only take a day or two before you get another tracking update. If you dont, its still sitting there on the side waiting for a peek. I have filed a claim for my package (everyone should be doing this otherwise thieves wont be stopped)! This facility and the one in Opa Locka, FL needs to be under investigation! They both do this...nothing but thieves.
Not sure how this post office or any other post office is still in business when there are many other companies much more competent at delivering packages. Could not deliver due to a insufficient address which is complete bullsh!t then not allow the person receiving the package to pick it up from the post office. Returned to sender the same day it arrived in this post office? Fishy. Guess what... the sender never re-receives the package. Tracking that can not be tracked...imagine that. Not sure whether the package was stolen but I wouldnt be surprised if this is the case. Hold your workers accountable and be thankful you are a federal entity or you and your jobs would have been well gone...
My package has been sitting here in this place since 2/27 and it was supposed to be delivered on March 3rd. Why is this taking so long. I have 3 order packages coming through this place to to them coming from over seas. This is just plain stupid.You call and the line is busy. What the hell is going on at this office. This is what happens when you let Unions run a business like the postal service.
Deserves no stars at all! The contact number always goes to busy! No other contact number to reach them. Usps treats their customers very carelessly. Have a missing package which was last scanned at this place. They changed he destination address to somewhere in Texas! now they cannot even find the package and there is no one to contact at this place. Very poor service.
My Christmas package for my daughter and family didnt reach them. Everytime I follow up from USPS all they say is that they have no way to track international shipping. So why then do you accept packages for international shipping when you cant track them? If only I can give 0 or negative review I would, for you are very very very poor in service and even your customer representatives are the worst! GIVE ME BACK MY PACKAGE!
My package has been stuck here for days and the USPS website has been saying The item is currently in transit to the destination. for the longest time with no further updates. I tried to call their office during operating hours to see where my package is and their phone is not even connected. So how exactly am i supposed to get a hold of them? This is ridiculous I would give zero stars if i could.
My international package went missing here with inbound into customs message as the last tracking update. I waited for nearly 2 hours just to reach an individual on the phone with no help from them. I reported missing package in USPS website and it did not help either. Very poor service!!!
When I arrived there was two windows open. Customers were at both. I was next in-line. One of the workers serviced a customer and then talked to that same customer for another 10 minutes while I waited to be served. They talked about retiring, social security benefits, grand children and union issues just to name a few. I wish I could have gave a zero.
Horrible I spent money on next day shipping and got everything but that. My package has been sitting for two days at this facility. PEOPLE dont not use this facility they steal or something. These people could care less about the service they are providing mind you this place is government funded . I will be getting my money back on Monday. I will never use USPS through this facility again!!!!! NO STARS
This place is very unprofessional. I tried calling but no one answered. This just shows how people that are hired by the government don’t care. They don’t work for a legit business therefore don’t care for their own customers. Like come on now, this is sad at this point. Please do better. Y’all are grown.
Received my packager hat i put express shipping on FOUR DAYS late because it took forever to get thru customs & once it got thru customs it took them a long time to deliver it out. I wasted money on express shipping & it ruined other plans. you pay money, & are the reason why they get paid but things like this happen & they don’t care.
My international package status shows in transit to destination when I enter the tracking number...since January 8th. I tried calling customer service and filing a claim online. I was told that the sender had to initiate an investigation from his end. The package was not lost on his end, it went missing when it processed through the USPS on 250 N. Boundary Road, in Jamaica, NY. I have tried calling many times, and the phone is always busy. Very poor service, I will be filing a complaint for certain.
Spit Spit On usps this location and all other locations. Passport timing on website says 4pm last time we got there at 3:25pm and inside time is changed with marker pen and says 3:00pm. So unprofessional. Change time in website as well so people dont waste time going there. Customer service is thru the roof as always for usps. I dont understand why all the nasty people works for usps. Is it required for employment? Always unwelcoming unprofessional.
I have been looking at my package sitting here since last damn month. I had two packages there but only one showed up and im thoroughly confused as to why that is because they both arrived on the same day at the same time. Whats the issue? The phone line isnt even connected so I cant talk to anyone. I made an account just to tell yall that youre garbage. Straight trash. I hope yall get shut down.
Single handedly the most painful experience I have had to date. It is apparently impossible for this line to pick up the phone. I managed to get through only twice and I feel lucky they picked up the second time as the first time my call dropped. I have been asking many people to simply trantransfer me to where packages are handled, as mine has been sitting around without an update and honestly, it sounds like the employees are simply too lazy to care. The lady who answered the first time was incredibly short with me and I assume she either gave me the wrong number, or she gave me a number to someone just as equally lazy. Honestly, its pitiful.
Worst service ever, have a package stuck there for over phone calls are not picked up. USPS says they can do nothing and its not trackable even though there is a tracking number! Rubbish service. I paid more money for rapid Access Service and they stil keep my stuff in this office for 15 days now
I would like to give zero star, USPS shame on you! Your staff never picked up phone, it shows my package came on Sep 7th, never gets to my place even just 10 mins away by car, whats the problem with you guys? When you working at USPS, please treat our packages like you treat yourself, would you dont give a damn to yourself?
Extremely poor service . Item sent to USA and should have went to UK priority . Event tickets that will be missed because of their mistake. Try and contact them through their system if your not resident in USA is almost impossible. Your only option is call and if your phone dont make international calls then there is no chance of contacting them.
When ever I have to renew my passport I come here this is one of the post office where you don’t have to make an appointment to apply for a new passport or renew an old passport there customer service is a little slow but look on the bright side at least you didn’t have to make an appointment this place is very easy to get to it’s right of the belt park way get of at rockaway blvd follow signs to 878
Very sad service... The post office should just close down and let other companies do the deliveries, they are a total shame. no one cares and no one wants to care. they are there to collect a paycheck .. a worthless service, pay more and use a reliable service. period.
I had shipped my parcel from edison on the 4/26 and it reached jamaica NY, instead of shipping internationally to UAE they shipped back to kearny NJ, really?. USPS do you have properly trained staff to take care of peoples belongings. its 5/16 today and still my parcel has not reached Dubai. your service in jamaica sucks!!
I sent an autographed poster of a young girls favorite celebrity to her in Canada, and she received the package to find nothing in it. Someone in JFKs Postal Service opened up the package and stole the poster and sent the package to the girl with nothing in it. This needs to be stopped. It is so unfair especially because we pay for these thing to be shipped and people are expecting these to arrive (most of the time very excitedly). These nasty trashy people in the NYC JFK USPS need more background and drug tests done to them because they are THIEVES!! I will be sure to follow this to the TOP. They can count on it. I wish I could give Negative Stars!!!
Had a parcel sent on the 3rd September from colorado... arrived at jamaica ny on the 5th..... then poof.....vanished! Seems that as soon as international mail hits this place.....its gone!! For good! Usps havent responded to any emails Ive sent! Worst experience ever! Avoid avoid avoid!
This is Awful, i am returning a package and it says it been stuck there for 3 WEEKS???!!! This is ridiculous! If the package has left the facility the tracking number has yet to be updated! And after reading a few reviews this is fairly common for this outpost, USPS needs to handle this or something!
Over the years, Ive had over $1,000 in merchandise stolen from these processing facilities in New York. Then arrive in the country by tracking and them nothing. There is no way to contact anyone, and the local post office will not do anything! It these were getting lost, theyd be found eventually and delivered late - but NO! There needs to be a police investigation here!
Sent my item from Howard beach postoffice 11/12/15 and it went to this sorting facility at 5:30 PM......my package was supposed to be delivered Monday 11/16/15. There has been no update since the 12th and it is now 11/18/15 and still nothing....I opened a complaint case with USPS and they looking into it.....going by everyone else this place sucks!
I sent a packaged Priority Mail Express guaranteed next delivert on Dec 1, it Dec 4, and it was sent to JFK instead of where it needed to be. I called JFK and spoke with Peter Wong, who was rude. I explained to him that there were review showing that he was was rude to customers, and he replied that I am rude, so what?

Not gonna recomend to anyone the passport application office people are very unprofessional i was there for my passport employe name ‘Ken’ was keep chatting with someone on phone while working on my passport application im sure he will do some spelling mistakes on the application who will be responsible for that?? If manager read this comment please take notice of this guy, this is unacceptable you guys are paying him for chating on his phone while on duty 👎🏼
Went there a month ago and got a passport renewal form.checked the sign on the wall that stated passport hours including (Saturday open-12pm) filled out the form at home and returned a month later on a Saturday at 10:30am only to be told by the only rep working that they do not have Saturday hours nor did they ever have any to begin with.thats a lie.my mom saw the same sign at the same time.pleAse tell me we’re both unable to read a simple message.i didn’t argue with the woman.i just bought the money order for the application, went to a photo studio and took out the pictures then went to another post office to mail the application package.upon arriving at the 195street linden Blvd location the employees were helpful.they pointed out that I have been misinformed and the application I filled out expired December 2016,stating that if I did send the application it wouldn’t be processed properly.i then had to re buy a money order and refill another application.im thankful the woman at the counter was plesant and helpful.this is my 4th time going to the jfk express center and the passport center employee is not helpful or even plesant to begin with.if you ask a question she answers it with an attitude.very unprofessional.im paying for a service and she’s getting paid to do her job.that facility in the whole needs proper management starting with staffing and general application maintenance since they are handing out forms that expired 2+ years ago.what a disaster and waste of a day.i hope they get their act together and start giving people the service they’re paying for.i would give “0” stars but that’s not an option !!!

2022-04-20Horrible service!!! I got there prepared with my paperwork for my child’s passport. First the clerk tells me that my child’s birthdate is incorrect. I said no please take a look at her birth certificate. Clerk had a attitude Ofcourse! I was correct! Then he doesn’t listen to what I am asking for. Tells me my money order is incorrect. Which Ofcourse I have been prepared with everything completed for my appointment! No apology nothing just a stink unprofessional attitude!

2022-01-16I’m giving 5 stars only because Debra Clerk #31 really went above and beyond to help me figure out what happened to my Missing package that I shipped priority Express to LA, the package apparently never left the Melville facility and there have been no tracking update since the 8th, it’s supposed have been delivered on the 10th. I have my own business and I shipped a custom item to LA and She helped me with a direct number to open and investigation. After experiencing the incompetence at the valley stream location and the nonchalant attitude from the supervisor there, I am super happy I met Debra that day. But I’m not giving up on this I will definitely find out what happened to my package

2021-12-26My package has been there over a month!! Theres no one to pick it up, theres nobody answer any of my calls, and there is nobody wants to help me. There are definitely workers who steal packages. My package hasnt moved at all and Im so discouraged.

2022-01-26THIEVES WORKING HERE. International package got stolen in this facility. Arrived at JFK on October 5th and no updates since. Postal inspector said it was likely stolen with no recourse, package didnt even make it to customs.

2022-02-25Very very rude unprofessional from the Clark to the manager and the security guards…have never been to facility where each and every one is rude unprofessional and disrespectful!!!!! I paid for express mail and it’s not delivered on time and they almost kicked me out of the post office because I requested them to help me out to get my mail picked up form this location!!!!!

2021-04-17I had a passport appointment for my newborn in the month of April and I have no complaints at all. I was in and out, the service I received was very good. The place was clean. The person working there was very friendly and I was 100% happy with my newborns passport photo. I would definitely recommend this place for getting passports done.

2021-07-26The Lady was very nice to me and she was really responsible about customer service... I appreciate this location for serving quickly and proffesonally... One think need to improve that is the Picture.. My picture wasn’t nice because they Dont have lighting system or any studio room..
