Refused to take my PREPAID packages and told me I had to go elsewhere to drop them off without really any explanation.
Pathetic. I am sick and tired of these lousy drivers saying that they delivered my packages when they don’t. They mark it delivered and then come the next day and drop off. Or worse revu label it as an attempt. So then when I come ALL the way down to the post office to see if I can get it, I’m told that they just scan it in the system and reattempt it the next day. They need to get it together. I am going for items to get to me so I can have it in time sensitive matter and these people seriously cause care less about actually doing their job somewhat correct. Just deliver my package when you mark it delivered when it’s supposed to be here. I am freaking out as if someone stole my package which is worth money when the whole time the carrier did not do their job. They need to hire new staff cause this is ridiculous I’m paying money for a service. It should be worth it.
The absolute worst post office! They always have an attitude. I dropped off over 15packages for delivery and after one week they returned all the packages saying failed delivery. They are horrible
This USPS location (Rochdale Village) shouldnt even receive a half-a-star review.1. Poor Customer Service: tellers are rude and show little to no courtesy.2. Can NEVER retrieve my packages with ease.3. Lack of Supervision: tellers are their own supervisors. Have a complaint? Well, save it because it will fall on deaf ears.4. Long Wait Time: prepare to stand in line longer than other postal service locations.5. Why pay for a PO Box at this location? Youll be told that your payment of service DOES NOT ensure youll receive quality service.If possible, avoid since there are better locations.
By far the worst post office Ive ever had to deal with. They open 9am during the week and at 910am with a line extending outside the door there is only one person working at the counter. You are lucky if your package gets delivered much less on time. I have been home waiting on my package only to check online and see delivery attempted and no notice left. If you can do without dealing with this post office please do so. So sorry for the people who have to put up with them.
There is noting more annoying than going to this post office branch to pick a package.Even with tracking service it is an adventure to find your package.Delivery drivers falsely updates tracking info to avoid delivering in order to safe time.Once i were outside in front of my building at 05:38pm speaking with a USPS CSR and while on the phone the delivery driver update the info stating that delivery was attended at that very same time. The driver never came to deliver anything.Pick up was available for the next day. Went to pick my package and BOOM another prank. The package was still in the delivery truck. Management is useless. They tells you they have no control at the fleet facility. How about faxing a damn memo to the fleet managers office and be read by all drivers to improve the service.
This place is VERY unorganized. They barely care about how important your package is. Im pretty sure its the workers because there have been multiple times where they have delivered my packages to the wrong address, or a neighbors house, etc. They definetly need a big improvement. Also, the workers need to reevaluate the standards of the company because this is causing the company to look bad.

It is normal for the staff to sometimes be snappy. It is even normal for letters to get crossed in the mail. All of that is normal, but what isnt is my last experience with USPS at the hands of the Rochdale Branch. I ordered something and the mailman claimed to have delivered it at 11:17 AM on June 10, 2019. I looked outside of my window and there was no package. In fact, there wasnt even any mail. I went to the post office the next day and the manager clained that the mailman accidentally delivered it to a business, would go retrieve it, check it back in, and then deliver it to me. Had I known what would ensue the next two weeks, I would have asked for the business address and picked it up myself. To cut this story short, lets just say I opened a dispute case, I called USPS several times, I spoke to the mailman, only to receive an email apologizing for the incompetence and carelessness. I replied that I dont want an apology, but rather I my parcel, and received no response. Now here I am, without the package or a refund, and sent to go on vacation without it. Well done Rochdale Village USPS branch.
I’ve maintained a PO Box at that location for many years and that has served me well. Over 20 years ago there was one worker behind the counter who had a very nasty attitude. Very nasty. However she was either transferred or fired and that was the only time I had problems with customer service. My experience with the current workers is that they are accommodating and retrieve my packages from the back even if they don’t have time to put the notice in my box. They are very kind to my 92 year old mother, especially on those few occasions she goes to retrieve my mail. Regardless of my perceived disposition of their temperament, I always greet the workers with a smile, and ask them how they are that day. Sometimes they return the smile if they’re not “frazzled” from working working with the public. Even if I’m REALLY annoyed or angry about some mail handling issue - I’ve been there - I restrain myself from becoming disorderly. They have worked with me to get things resolved. What people don’t realize is if the postal workers feel threatened they have the ability to get the cops there PRONTO. For me, it’s not worth being restrained and hauled off to the hoosegow for a piece of mail or a package. I don’t think I’ll get my Amazon deliveries any quicker in jail or perhaps not at all. Besides having a PO Box at the location provides convenience for me and is a heck more reliable than getting mail and packages at my residence. Perhaps anyone reading my review will blow it off as a “bunch of Kumbaya crap”, but that’s been my experience at the location. Patience and a smile goes a long way because postal workers have personal problems too.
When I read the other reviews oh, I was a bit nervous to come to this location. I was sending express mail package and was praying that they did not lose my mail. But when I arrived, I was pleasantly surprised. The tellers seemed friendly to me oh, and there was even a worker in the Lobby asking people if they needed help. She was directing people to the right type of envelope, or to use a certain type of label, Etc. The one drawback was the multiple lines for waiting, it is a little confusing. But it was not a big deal because it was not crowded oh, I went during the 10 or 11 hour and there were only a few people ahead of me. The line went quick. There is a separate line for passport transactions.
My mother, son and myself went to post office. My mother was renewing her passport and we had to apply for a new passport for my son. Lynette ( I think that was her name) was so pleasant and helpful. She took her time explaining to my mother what and how she needed to fill out the money order and the envelope for the passport. She processed the paperwork for my son very quickly. You could tell she takes pride in her job and treats people with respect. So many of people that came in she knew by name and asked about their families. I have already told me daughter when she needs to renew my granddaughter’s passport to here.
I was supposed to get my package Saturday... I watched the post man drop mail in everyones mailbox but he didnt have any packages with him. I got my first unable to deliver notification saying they left a notice on my doorstep. I was sitting on my porch. Today they said they attempted to deliver my package again and left another notice, my sister, brother and step father was home and all three of them told me that no one rang the doorbell and that no note was left. Now I have to wait until Saturday to go pick my package up because thats the only day Im able to do so. This isnt the first time this has happened. I honestly cant stand this post office because every time I have a package coming from them theres an issue
My package has been delivered since Monday and to date I cannot get it. My sister has been there 3 times only to be given the supervisors number. A number that isnt anwsered no matter what time of day you call. Ive never seen such incompetence in all my life.
Barely wanted to give one star. Ordered a package that had a confirmed delivery for Sunday, September 11 & it is now Thursday, September 15. Have not received my package to a shipping label error. Im now without my textbook due to the carelessness of this branch. The errors here need to be rectified or this branch deserves to be shut down. Even right now (4:05pm on 9/15), Im calling the branch and repeatedly get hung up on. This is preposterous and ludicrous for a place of business to conduct themselves in such an unprofessional manner. Truly disgusted!
First time application for a passport was sent off from here on Saturday, 10/26/2019. Normally, people say that the process takes between 4 -8 weeks. Thank God, my process took about 1 week and 5 days. I did not use express or expedite service. My passport came back on Thursday, 11/07/2019. To God be the glory, honor and praise. He is the one true God.
The WORST they NEVER answer the phone. Ive had packages go out for delivery and did not receive them and its obvious the carrier didnt even attempt to deliver it and then they want you to come pick it up when no slip was left. Then give you a hard time about picking up the package!
I never leave reviews but the 11434 post office is the worst post ever. they leave a door tag for every signal package I get. Someone can be sitting right on the over side of the door, but they dont have the time to ring the bell. Then you into the post office to get your package and they have someone that comes from the back , just to collect the door tags. PLEASE JUST DELIVER MY PACKAGE!!!!!!
When someone steals/loses your package or claims it was left at your mailbox the post office at Rochdale gives you a number to call. THIS IS A REVIEW OF THAT LOCAL 718 NUMBER. When you get that number, you are screwed. Your package is as good as gone. Rogue office. Im not sure who these people are but they sure act in a cloud of secrecy and their little setup over there clearly indicates that you are about to deal with an adversary. The phone rings. And Rings. AND RINGS, forever, no introduction message, no message for that matter at all and if youre not persistant which I believe theyre hoping for, youll give up and leave them alone. I dont know one reputable government office in 2017 that doesnt have some sort of phone answering system to at least identify who youre calling. When they finally answer you give them tracking info and you hear the Well get back to you line. They said two days. That was a crock. I knew it and they knew it. Never heard from them ever again. They werent rude but they are certainly not helpful. Filed a claim with USPS central office. They said they will contact that office and investigate and will get back to us.Take a guess what happened next.
Reading these reviews tells me alot. Hope everyone knows you can report missing packages, missing mail etc...to the Postal Inspectors. Im also having alot of problems receiving mail that hasnt been opened, retaped closed and damaged. I been complaining for months and the Post Office does nothing about it. Ive never seen anything like the mail Ive received over here, seeing alot of reviews if people missing packages there needs to be an investigation. You can look up the Postal Inspectors online and contact them. This is unacceptable.

How do you deliver so many packages that never make it to the recipient. THE WORST POST OFFICE EVER!!! I rather drive, take a plane, bus, or boat to a post office over dealing with so much theft and UN-professionalism. USPS please close or get new staff for this office my federal dollars are wasted on this place.
For 2 days I have been waiting outside for deliveries to come and NOTHING oh but today I took a picture YES the mail lady had the balls to double park next to my house and then without getting out the truck just drove off!!!! Im standing right there looking at her drive by without delivering anything?? Wth and yet I have tracking numbers saying my package is out for delivery? To where? By far worst customer service I had in my life. The 2 Asian tellers I spoke with acted like they didnt even want to give me information about obtaining a new passport and when I asked a question they looked at me as if I was supposed to know gave me attitude and just kept shaking their head. Then when I come back with the documents they told me to bring they told me they stood doing passports at 3 and have to come back Monday even tho they didnt tell me that prior to , cause if they did I most certainly could have made it in time . I got there at 310 and thats only because I was talking to a friend. Worse Post Office to visit in the area. Always a long wait and slow service. I go there often since I have a Post Office Box there for my business and often times I need stamps, etc. Always have to expect to wait longer than it should take.
Whoever Lynette is should not be working with customers. Her passive attitude is disgusting!! If you have to go to this location, DO NOT waste your time at the first window with Lynette. I have never experienced such horrible customer service until I had to deal with a person like her. She is extremely rude !
They will mark you’re package as delivered and never even attempt to knock on the door or even put it in the mailbox they steal it, beware if you don’t have insurance on you’re item I’m learning the hard way😡
Disgusting. Packages are left in the hallways of building 12 knowing full well cameras are there and working. Packages aren’t delivered when the tracking says they will be. Many of the workers hang out in the quadrant with security BS’ing then update the status of packages to “unable to deliver, meanwhile they’ve never stepped foot in the building. Retrieving packages from the staff is like pulling teeth or something. They’re a damn disgrace. Each and every worker in this office is a DISGRACE. NASTY, UNPROFESSIONAL, RUDE and any and everything below.

I have been missing my packages! This has been the 3rd package that hasn’t been delivered, I called but no one ever seem to pick up the damn phone! Horrible place! Horrible workers! And no, my packages were never delivered as I would have seen it on the camera!!!!!

I am calling to find out about my box. It rings and rings. Then they put the busy signal. Then they put the fax machine on in order for the calls do not go through. They are the worst. Don’t bother calling they never pick up. I know the delivery time is an estimate but it’s way off and you can’t even call to ask if it’s backed up...Or even talk with a person for conformation.

My return package has been sitting at this post office for over a month now. Ive been given the run-around 3 times when calling corporate saying theyd get my package where it needs to be and yet it sits in this excuse of a post office. Somebody really needs to get help.
God awful. No access on two deliveries despite my wide open, non gated community house (on all my other mail coming fine). You then have to come their crowded post office to sort things out (if you ever do). Has made Amazon Prime and/or any kind rush shipping pointless.

Mail man with glasses , dark skinned, signed my package for me and left it for someone to grab. This Queens Rochdale Postal Office is, Extremely Horrible! I was suppose to have a package delivered Monday 5-1-17. A message came though to my Cell, saying the package was in my Mailbox. So I went to my Mailbox, no package at all in my Mailbox. I called Amazon they called Rochdale P.O.. A Rochdale P.O. Worker said the package was still here meaning still here at the Rochdale P.O.. The Rochdale P.O. Worker saw the same thing on his Computer screen, that was sent to my Cell. So now Im glad I wasnt going crazy. The Rochdale P.O. Worker asked me if I wanted to pick it up after work or delivered to my house. I said please deliver it, I dont get home in time to pick it up. This was Monday 5-01-17. Here it is Thursday 5-4-17. I finally called Amazon this morning and advise them to refund my money. This is not the first time this has happened to me. ROCHDALE POSTER OFFICE needs to be investigated or shut down. I wish I could give it a 0. 1 star is just to kind.

2022-05-07I had such an unpleasant experience here. I was being assisted by a black lady with blonde dreads. She was so cold and unhelpful. I need to find another post office to do my mailing. Very unpleasant experience. Please hire new people and prioritize customer service!!

2022-06-09If I could give this place a one I would. A black lady with honey blonde dreads was being so rude to me and my mom and she kept asking for photo copies of things and we had to go back to the mall over and over again and the reason I’m mad is because the last time we came she didn’t ask for any of these things last time. And she had a huge problem with us. She honestly just ruined my whole afternoon.

2021-02-21Terrible post office. The workers are extremely lazy. Please if you do not want to delivery mail and packages (the job you are paid to do) find another job. Today (Saturday) I was home all day. I was expecting 4 small packages to be delivered. At about 7:09 PM, I checked my security cameras to see that the mail carrier drove down my block not once but twice and even stopped in front of my house at one point but did not deliver my packages. Then the status was updated to “attempted delivery, no secure location”. Really?! I have everything recorded on my security cameras and I will be filing a report with the Inspector General. This is not the first time this has happened and I’ve had enough. Again, if you don’t like or want to do your job find another one.

2021-04-25Every time UPS or FedEx transfers packages to this post office to be delivered, the package is NEVER delivered, but on the USPS website the package is marked delivered. This is so annoying!! There are times I have been home the WHOLE day and have checked my front door within minutes of receiving the delivery notification just to see the package is not there.

2019-12-21I started delivering my packages to my job which is linked to this office because the office responsible for my home is horrible..this is NOT that much different. 2 days in a row they made an attempt to a open business which you can just walk in from the street saying they had No Access..which means they never even got out of their vehicle . And when you call the office they dont pickup their phones. Why do we pay for certain shipping charges when you never get your mail on time. USPS is an absolute joke. Mail pigeons work better back from the year 1412

2021-08-04Can be slow at times.One of the clerks has personality and try to hide it with a fake smile. She likes to have confrontation with you if dont speak to her. She got problems.No rule or law anywhere that says that I have to speak to you. This is business, not a social event.

2020-06-14Im only now writing a review because I want people to know that the one star reviews that have been written are still occurring today. Despite reviews written three years, nothing has changed. My package is falsely marked as attempted, falsely held at facility and delivered to the wrong address consistently. Unfortunately its not my choice to do business with them as Amazon doesnt give the option of carrier. Its been the same problem for the six years that Ive used this office. The only consolation is that Im not the only one. But its a kick in the privates that so many have this problem and its still not fixed.

2020-12-28USPS is responsible for shipping the most important mail such as medicine, clothes, and non-perishable items to the Global market. I understand it is COVID, but some of your workers at the locations are taking advantage of that by being unprofessional and non-responsive. Our taxes pay for USPSs wages yet theyre some of the most unprofessional and disrespectful people I have ever encountered.
