Wish I Could Give 0 Stars, Have Been Waiting On The Phone For Over An Hour, Got A Text Saying That My Package Arrived At 3:28pm Went To Check As Soon As I Got The Message, Nothing Was There. After 5 Minutes The Truck Arrived And When He Was Putting The Mail Inside The Mail Box I Saw That There Was No Big Package, The Mail Man Went To The Next House And I Went To Go Check But Nothing Was There. I’ve Never Had A Problem With USPS Especially With The Mail Man As I See Him All The Time.
This is honestly my favorite post office out of all probably 20 locations I’ve been to. The staff are all pleasant, especially the supervisor there. They always scan my packages unlike other locations that just tell me to drop it off at a window that is unattended and unsupervised (where anyone can just grab a package from). They always give me a receipt and I have never had an issue with this post office !
I wasnt thrilled about waiting on line three times! The service was okay. One of the Postal service employees loaned me a pen . I thought that was really nice! The USPS doesnt exchange stamps! If you dont have the correct amount, you have to just put on whatever stamps that you do have. Sixteen or seventeen stamps on a priority envelope does look a little odd! Thats the USPS!
The nicest people work there! They have improved 1000% percent in the last 4-5 years...relatively fast and extremely helpful..they simply could not be nicer! Tap the smile on the feedback box on your way out..they deserve it. I have no affliation, use them often and am generally a detailed, critical (when appropriate) person. ..or dont use them and help us keep the lines short..ha, ha...
Rude and so incompetent. I have returned to this post office twice because of the inefficient employees that fail to check that all paperwork has been filled out correctly. I had applied for a passport and go away for school. I needed my passport by a certain time. At the window I asked several times if everything was done and complete and signed because I would not be able to come back. The woman was in a rush to leave and said yes. 4 weeks later I received a letter stating that they could not process my application because there was a required signature for me to have completed in front of the person taking my application. Upon returned I was rudely scolded by another employee who said I was blocking the window yet wherever I moved was an issue. Incompetent and rude is all I have to say.
I did not receive the package from one of my favorite stores. I was at home whole day. Nobody rang the bell and nobody left any package at the door step. Although they indicated that the package was delivered. I never had such experience before. I am expecting more packages and I am trying to contact the local post office to let me know when the package will be delivered. Hope reps from the post office will be polite and cooperative and this time the packages will be delivered to me.
WHAT EVERYONE IS SAYING ABOUT THIS POST OFFICE IS TRUEThey lost my package and their answer is, “Packages get lost sometimes, there’s really nothing we can do since it was only sent first class.”So you’re telling me, just because my package was sent the cheapest way that means no one really cares if it gets delivered to me.They do a terrible job in this post office and there’s no repurcussions. People in other careers make mistakes and they get fired, but in the post office, you can make as many mistakes as you want and NOTHING happens. Who monitors the USPS and why is nothing being done about this terrible branch?
The Managers Donna & Carla here are incompetent! This Post Office lost my $450.00 item. It supposedly arrived here on the 22nd, but they stated that they needed a signature. I was not home and they did not notify me or at least attempt to leave it with a neighbor. I made several calls and went to PO several times. Giving me the run around stating its at the New Dorp PO Station, yet I go there and they say it is out for delivery, that was on the 25th. Now its the 27th and I went down to New Dorp PO Station and they cannot locate it, telling me that they will contact me when they find out more information. Meanwhile! If I do not CLAIM IT ... They will send it back to Sender. Unbelievable!I just got back from New Dorp PO and spoke to Donna the Supervisor. I told her that this is insane that you cannot locate the package with the Tracking #. She told me that I should have gotten it. I asked her who signed for it? So you can track it that way. She admitted that there was a new guy that messed up and left it without getting the Signature. This is totally on them!I spoke to a Carla who is another supervisor at the New Dorp PO and she told me that she did not find it, but she will call me either way when she confronts all her Couriers to see if there was a box left behind. It has been three days and she has not called me back.I filed a Claim from USPS on Saturday, the 2nd. I get a call today on the Monday, the 4th , they said they can Not locate it and that they are sorry... Its out of our hands. WHAT? How convenient for them, given the time frame of ONE DAY! From Saturday to Monday they decided to close the case! They Get an F+ for FAILURE! Be sure you insure your package for the full amount of worth.... Or you will Lose your Money as well as your Package! You are better off using Fed Ex.
Spoke to Denis about a misplaced package. I came in very irritated and he was a gentleman and professional. Very good civil service worker and I didnt have a long line. That said the post office did misplace my package and misinform me. It means a lot to not be treated like trash nonetheless. Thanks
I never use to have a problem but now theres a new postal worker and that person doesnt come to the door they just leave a notice in the mailbox while Im in my apt. I got the text message alert about the package so I ran downstairs and but they pulled Tried calling the post office and they dont answer the phone. Today is a Saturday at 10 am.
The place is horrible! The worst post office in the whole country! Even when there’s only 3 people there the waiting time in line is for hours! No pens, no clean tables, the floor is disgustingly dirty. The stuff is unprofessional and rude. What else... you can’t ask a question...if you want to feel ignored and insignificant go to that post office... otherwise stay away! You’ve been warned!
The mailman that delivers to my home is a horror, hes very spiteful, I moved my mailbox which is now inside of my gate and he got mad because he had to come in the gate, so We put in a complaint because he refused to close the gate after delivering, now he leaves my mailbox opened and my mail gets soaking wet when it rains. Time to put in another complaint about him, hes an Asian guy if anyone else has him.
Usually they will let me skip the line to drop off my pre-paid and labeled packages. (When the drop box is full). However now they are requiring people to wait in line to just drop off packages pre-purchase and am just dropping off the package. They were rude about it and non apologetic.
You might as well forget service here. No one knows any real postal regulation, management makes it up as they go along, and god forbid if they ever lost something even insured because youre screwed ... management doesnt care and theyll lie to National and regional management to keep their lousy operation up. The reason it goes like this is because you cant open up and operate a competitive location like UPS or Fedex or else and they know this and abuse their monopoly based on it..
Always long lines, service is very slow and they never answer the phone. This place needs to be whipped into shape because nothing there works right.One person who was helpful was the delivery supervisor, he was very professional and he seems to do his job right, not everyone there is bad, but theres only a select few who really care about the customer.
To the morons who gave this post office four and five stars without anything meaningful to contribute I hope your comments get removed. This post office is the least effective their known to hold first class mail for days before releasing, take up to 3-4 days to process incoming priority mail on their slow days .. yes I said 3-4 days to process not even to ship, this station has held some of the worse service and most unfriendliness & argumentative employees on record. I almost feel like I need a therapy session every time I come out of there. Someone needs to tell everyone from the management on down who that they work for the customer and not the other way around. As for the unknown user who called two people on here wise asses and gave this five stars.. youre probably one of the uneducated and abusive employees who works here. Oh and by the way dont think it slipped past me that the nicer friendlier employees always seem to work the crappier jobs. By definition they must be beating the courtesy out of these employees.
Worst ever for Halloween they had my babies first costume for 3 days I had to go pick my package up after paying shipping because I wouldnt have got it till the day after halloween. Today yet again for 3 days they have my package and still didnt deliver to my house this place needs to be investigated besides the fact the stupid delivery ppl will shove a 8 by 10 photo into a mail box
Tried to charge me more for shopping then I should pay . first class mail that was marked at 13 oz but was actually 15 oz according to the women work . I know that first class mail goes up to a pound but suggest that it does not . Basically forced l me to use priority Mail and pay extra
I live @ 87 Corona Avenue Staten Island 10306 some one nocked my mailbox over and broke it on Tuesday April 26th when I seen the mailman yesterday I asked him to leave my mail by the door until I call have a new mailbox put in he told me no that if he did it for me he would have to do it for others. First off Im disabled Im on oxygen 24/7 for me to meet him on the street I have to go down a full flight of stairs get the mail then go back upstairs for me thats a hardship. When I do go down stairs I am usually going to the doctors and do not have to go upstairs for a few hours and I use a potable oxygen tank. I thought mail persons were to deliver the mail weather its at the door or on the curb were you can put a standing mailbox? He told me it was a long run and he doesnt deliver to any door. Please get back to me. I dont want to have take this an further. My father worked for the post office for 25 years and my sister just retired last year after 25 years they both worked in Arlington Virginia .Sincerely,Wendy Killen- Quevedo
UNDERSTAFFED. NEVER ANSWER THE PHONES - I BET THEY TAKE THEM OFF THE CRADLE SO IT IS ALWAYS BUZY AFTER 4. LOCK THE DOOR 5 MINUTES BEFORE CLOSING - IF THE DMV CANT DO THAT THEY SHOULDNT DO IT EITHER. I FILLED OUT MAIL FORWARDING TO MY PO BOX AND NOT ALL THE MAIL MAKES IT TO THE PO - THEY SAID IT WAS BECASE THE MAIL WAS MISSING THE ZIP OR HAD THE WRONG ZIP - BUT THAT WAS NOT TRUE AND WHEN I SHOWED THEM THE CORRECT ZIP WAS THERE AND ASKED THEM WHY AGAIN THEY HAD NO ANSWER. THEY NEVER DO - AND IT HAS HAPPENED OFTEN.

2022-02-12Terrible! I went to get my kids passports renewed and the lady was rude! I didn’t have my application ready but I filled it out quickly! She took her next appointment during my appointment time and I had to wait for them to finish! On top of that she lied to me! She said that the passport place closed at 11:35 and it doesn’t close until 12:00. She didn’t even give us a chance to get my kids birth certificates (2min). She wanted an easy day which in turn caused my kids to be upset 😢

2022-06-09Extremely unprofessional staff. They canceled my passport appointment and when I called they couldn’t provide and explanation to why, instead sent me on a run-around to call the main USPS line. Save your time and patience and go somewhere else.

2022-06-20Very bad customer serviceI took appointment to do passport for my two kids and they only accept to make passport for one of themThey waste my time as I made appointment few weeks before and I have to wait many weeks again to get passport for my second kidI am really upset and doesn’t wanna go over there anymore

2021-10-26I just came in for some stamps, because buying online is overpriced. And Stamps.com does not offer the very stylish stamp good for mailings/invitations. It was a fast in and out and the woman who helped me was friendly.

2020-12-01I am surprised this USPS location has so many bad reviews. Ive always had a pleasant experience here with all staff members.However, the experience I had today was exceptional, so I wanted to take my time and write a good review with the hopes that Mark, the representative that helped me today, will be recognized.He was welcoming, knowledgable, clear and very patient with the long list of items I had to ship internationally. I wish other USPS locations had employees like him.

2021-07-21Contonese women was rude, but she got the job done. Had an attitude, but answered my questions clearly. She didnt really make a good impression the first time I went to this post office. I had very complex questions, but she answer it all. The other employees working there were great and helpful.

2021-06-30Worst post office ever! Never answered my calls and opened 3 escalation tickets to get a box delivered. They never showed up in the last 10 days and customer care kept responding to the ticket with “your package will be delivered today or tomorrow”. I cannot believe these horrible people and their lies!

2022-02-09HOURS NEED TO BE EXTENDED AS SOMEONE WHO WORKS 9-5 HAS NO TIME! THIS POST OFFICE IS UNDER STAFFED! IT TAKES FOREVER TO GET THINGS DONE AND NOTHING IS EVER IN STOCK.

2019-05-17This post office is the most super convenient for us because I live by the Berry Houses. I walk up right by the Colonnade Diner on Jefferson Ave. I took the S78 bus and it was right across the street on Hylan Blvd and Rose Ave. They took care of me today giving me that package from EBAY right on the spot and I thank her for that. Without Victor the mailman we would be in trouble that’s what happened to my dad that the new mailman didn’t use the intercom for my father to go downstairs to get that package. So I had to get that package by myself and I had to take a day off from school to go get it. Took me less than 5 minutes to receive that package from Minnesota by ordering that item on EBAY. I had to walk out of that post office very happy after I receive that package and that 3 day wait is over. That packing slip came from the mailbox that it was attempted and my dad stayed in his apartment all day and it was crazy and he didn’t go outside in a few days.
