Tenant Uniteds phone system is horrible. It is designed to only take messages , which then, one gets the feeling they will end up in a Black Hole somewhere in the cosmos. I believe, one does not get the feeling that human communication is important at this alleged office. The machine recorder , with it rapidly spewing out countless categories that few people really understand, leaves one wondering if one is ever going to get real help from a real person. You get the immediate feeling that getting help is an elusive thing here.Today Consumers have to often contend with poorly and sloppy designed software systems and robots. Consumers are getting fed up with this dehumanizing situation.Humanity in the workplace is becoming fast extinct or finished .God help us here on Earth with poorly designed machines taking over all aspects of our lives !

We as tenants need a new small claim courts law rights to taking landlords and owners to small claims court in the town, city, states where they came here from where ever and brought properties. Rights to take landlords to court where their own that properties at.....not where they live in another town, state, county or across the world. Its not right to any tenants.

Tatiana came across very sincere and genuine in wanting to help me and she did. Im very grateful for what they did for me which is why I offered to volunteer if they ever needed any help.

I had tried to ask them for help or advice regarding issues with my landlord. I got a curt and rude run around to which in our email I finally said if they couldnt help me just tell me instead of asking me to reiterate the original question or make me feel bad for having the gall to contact them, they did not reply to that email and that was several weeks ago at this point.

I appreciate the bit of help they tried to give me. I would recommend they do some contract law training here. Leases are contracts and although something may be in a lease, it can still be an illegal contract term. I was hoping to get some assistance with specific pieces of my lease and I was told there was nothing I or they could do. Had I of spoken with someone more familiar with contract law, I think I would have had a better experience. Thank you for at least listening to my issue and giving it a try. Remember not to stereotype everyone who walks through your doors!

Dont go here period, this place is horrible. The lady at the front desk, was very rude and nasty. After I was seen, I came back to the office 2 weeks later because the staff there never followed up on nothing. I had to go back there and the black lady, with the short blond hair, took a hour to find my paper work. and she still never found it, The reason why she couldnt find my paperwork when she interviewed me. Is because she never completed the paperwork on me, regarding my issues in the first place. So I asked to meet, with somebody else, because I didnt want to talk to her again after that. How is it that, I was there first, and 2 other people got seen before me thats wasnt right. After that I then asked to talk to the supervisor after waiting 40 mins and never got seen, They are unprofessional they dont even call folks back for a follow up half the time regarding your case. I then had to go back up there, to again ask to talk to the supervisor. After asking to speak to the supervisor, staff told me she would give me a call, she never did. I waited 2 months still no call from the supervisor. This place gives bad service, that office act like the unprofessional staff there can never do no wrong. I now really believe this place is racist.

The office has recently relocated and changed the way they operate- before you would call and someone would answer and help you or you could leave a message and get a call back shortly after, now you have to call and leave a message first and even if you have an associates direct extension they never answer. Takes more than 24 hours to get a call back even if you just missed their call. This new system is frustrating, especially when you are a tenant waiting to make a move and want to get information regarding your legal rights. When you do talk with an associate they are wonderful, but I have been playing phone tag since Monday and have not talked to anyone yet......****UPDATED 7/5/17*****Just want to update, I STILL have yet to speak to one of these reps (first called Monday June 19th). You leave messages telling them the best time to contact you and they CONSTANTLY call the opposite times IF they even call you back, it is like they are doing it on purpose so they do not have to deal with you. Very disappointing especially as a tenant in crisis.

As a student, it seems to be easier for landlords to take advantage of you, which is what happened in my case. With bare minimum to spend in our defense, we came to UTA for some advice on our landlord-tenant issues. Without a wait, the clerk sat us down and had the landlords lawyer on the phone, working out an agreement. Still in the middle of solving our problems but all the help has been exactly what we needed. This is an amazing service to the community.

When you are at your wits end and no where to turn I guess going to UTA Clinton ave small office is better than nothing, but barely. The phone is ALWAYS busy. If you do happen to get thru, after trying 2 hours for me, the lady I got seemed annoyed and not willing to work on my tenant/landlord problem. She didnt want to call the landlord as Social services suggested, and She put me on hold , i think, but after a very long wait a recorded message come on that said the alloted time has expired. I think I left a message but not sure it went thru. I sent them two emails but I expect no reply. So, You can make these UT of Albany work for their pay but dont expect much.
