Very clean and great views, this is the perfect place for a jog or a casual walk with a coffee ☕
Starting place to cross the Hudson River pedestrian bridge from the west side. We clocked 3 miles for the round trip on the bridge itself. There is a rail trail from both sides of the bridge extending at least 13 miles on the eastern trail and about 7 miles on the western side. Great for bicyclists. There is a great view down and up the Hudson River from the bridge.
We parked here for the elevator entrance to the Walkway over the Hudson. Need better signage!!! Hard to figure out where to go. Nice area though by the river and great views from up on the walkway.
Looks like an interesting place showing some of the commercial heritage of Poughkeepsie. Shame it was raining so couldnt explore more.
Great waterfront park with loads of information on the area on many placards and wall paintings. It is located under the Walkway over the Hudson. Skateboard park for the youthful. Fisherman enjoy the fishing. Public boat launch. Unfortunately the Ice House restaurant is closed. Nice playground for the tykes. Public restrooms are porta-potties but very clean and with hand sanitizer.

2021-09-19Incredibly clean and serene park by the Hudson. The elevator up to the walkway was clean and well maintained. Its great for accessability patrons. A wonderful park to take a stroll and watch the boats.

2022-06-14Beautiful spot. Probably the cleanest spot in Poughkeepsie. I love coming here to clear my mind and walk around. Great place for watching birds too. Plus if you wanna take a trip on the walkway you can take an elevator when its available.

2022-05-03First time momma planning her baby shower and this is the area I chose because it’s beautiful, able to be 6 feet apart in the open, lots of room and beautiful beautiful park!! I’m just curious though, are there any fees I’d have to pay to use this area for a few hours?

2020-11-11Small but nice park with some foliage in the fall early November. Scenic with views of the river and the bridge. Not too crowded even in on a weekend. Went before sunset and was able to take pictures before and after. Easy easy from the Poughkeepsie station.

2022-07-02Love walking here for the movies! Not sure why it has a separate name because to me its an expanded part of waryas. They have movies under the walkway here in the summer

2017-11-21When we visited the place we were lucky to catch some live music - some sort of smooth jazz. Since the audience was well prepared to that performance with folding chairs and umbrellas, I assume that the kind of events that we witnessed are happening on a regular basis over there. Its nice to have such cultural events where you live. The longest (and highest?) walking bridge in the world adds up to the amusement as well.

2017-08-22LOVE this spot in the Poughkeepsie Waterfront. And, Im glad it has a closing time and that its gated, so that people dont ruin it. Beautiful place!

2018-08-14Very beautiful park. Nice and small and always clean. It is by the hudson river. There are plenty of trees and benches so you can sit in the shade when it is really sunny/hot. Pet friendly. Occasionally there will be events held here like Movies Under the Walkway.

2019-09-05A nice place to take a Walk !!Plus you can learn a little about the area back to the mid 1800s , quite a bit of Shipping took please around Here ??Plus you can catch the elevator to the walk way !!The old train bridge ,that burned , probably sparked by the old trains Brakes !?!??You can read for your self , the information is posted along the river walk way !!!
