I’ve been with UWSD and Doctor Shirley for several years now and I’m really happy overall with my experience there. I recently opted for invisible braces treatment because of misalignment with my teeth and I’m very satisfied with the results since I can now comfortably and happily chew on both sides of my mouth. Would definitely recommend coming here for dental care.
Very efficient and kind staff. Dr. Shirley is professional and knowledgeable, honestly one of the best dentists Ive ever had.Solid amenities and comfortable environment, even when undergoing uncomfortable dental procedures because of my personal lack of self control when it comes to sugar.10/10 going here for all my dental needs from now on.
I’m an anxious person when it comes to the dentist, but everyone here was so wonderful! The woman who checked me in, Brianna, was so friendly and explained all the costs to me up front which was unexpected, and and appreciated! The assistant, I believe her name was Elle, was also so reassuring during the X-rays, and was helpful after the visit too. The doctor was friendly, informative, and I was way more relaxed during the cleaning then I thought I would be.They are a great team, who obviously work well together, so I feel very confident in going back for follow ups.If you’re someone who feels anxious, this is a great place to go! Dr. Shirley is by far one of the best dentists I have seen! All of his staff are kind and professional. Upon arrival there is little wait time to see Dr. Shirley, and once you are in the exam room you may select music of your choice. I was also offered water or tea. Overall, all of my visits to Dr. Shirley’s office have been pleasant and there is nothing to complain about! He and his staff make sure you are always comfortable before, during and after your procedure. If you are uncomfortable for any reason, they will work to address the issue. The only thing I would advise new patients is to (if need be) cancel your appointment 48 hours in advance to avoid being charged a late fee. Dr. Shirley’s staff actually send you text messages and phone calls about three days before your appointment to confirm it, so there won’t be any issues regarding the cancellation fee. Other than that be prepared for excellent dental and customer service!
Edit 1: In response to that cold reply insinuating that I am just boo-hooing over bad news -- thats false. I am upset at this Dentists condescending behavior.At the end of my procedure Dr. Shirley explained an unexpected issue and showed me using an incredibly bright light close-up to my face. I gasped and said Howd I not notice that before?! -- Which is a rhetorical expression of surprise. But Dr. Shirley didnt miss a beat and said, Because you dont look at your teeth. I was beside myself!! In order to see this issue you need to shine a white-white light directly onto the problem area, which doesnt hurt or feel different.As if he hadnt already done enough to lay me low, he straight-up diagnosed me with Anxiety right in front of the technician. Is he licensed to diagnose mental health? If I had more time on my hands I would absolutely have contacted the NYSDOH about that particular comment. Disgusting, Dr. Shirley needs to take some therapy himself to learn patience and empathy.Edit 2: Checking in to say that because of Dr. Shirleys verbal abuse, I am scared to return to the dentist. I was never afraid of dentists before.Original Review: I am surprised to see the reviews about how kind Dr. Shirley is, as with me he had zero bedside manner. I went in for an emergency cosmetic procedure and he did a fine job on my teeth; he is also surrounded by kind staff. However, Dr. Shirley is the most condescending medical practitioner I have ever had the displeasure of seeing. I actually left in tears, he was so rude to me. I cancelled my scheduled appointment for December and I will be spreading the word about what an unecessaruly awful experience this was.
I could not be more grateful to Dr. Shirley and his fabulous team at Upper West Side Dental. I have been a satisfied patient at the dental clinic for a little over a year now. On Monday morning, I called before business hours in a panic because I had lost a filling overnight. The lovely Brianna immediately called me back and scheduled me for an emergency appointment on Thursday. In the emergency consultation, Dr. Shirley graciously decided to schedule me for a filling after his last appointment of the day. Despite the longer working day, Dr. Shirley was his reassuring, thorough, professional and happy self. If you want to experience the highest standard in dental care, I suggest you try Upper West Side Dental.
I’ve been seeing Dr. Shirley for several years and there are various good reasons why I keep returning. The office has a lot of flexibility with appointment schedules and notify you in advance of an upcoming appointment, the staff are warm and inviting, the office is clean with options to listen to music, and Dr. Shirley is professional, detailed, thorough, and knowledgeable. He explains your dental cleaning and work in detail and walks you through any issue he finds. I really appreciate the work they do in keeping me comfortable through the whole process.
Root canals beware!! I really liked this office and had a great experience at the time I was a patient, but I got a root canal by Dr. Shirley (I didn’t know you were supposed to see a specialist/endodontist for this,) and just a couple years later I’m being told it failed, that it’s unfixable and I have to now have the tooth extracted. Dr Shirley is great for regular dentistry but it’s irresponsible of him to have performed my root canal, it’s costing me thousands. Save your money and see a specialist!
Great very clean. The dentist explained everything to me, didn’t try to convince me to do unnecessary work. Prices were typical. The doctor was punctual. I didn’t have to wait long, even though the waiting room was full. I appreciate making an appointment and my time is recognised as important. Great dentist DDS. I would highly recommend, I had a very pleasant experience. I would highly recommend upper west side Dental 🦷
I have been going to UWS Dental for the last few years and they always make me feel great. They are prompt and courteous and I know my teeth are in good hands when I walk through the door. UWS always provides quality dental work and I will continue to trust them with my smile.
Yesterday, I visited Dr. Benjamin Shirleys office for the first time. My dental visit was the absolute best that I have ever experienced, and I have been to many dentists. Dr. Shirley and his staff--Brianna and Elle, were extremely kind and accommodating. Dr. Shirley is an extremely knowledgeable practitioner. His knowledge, equipment and procedures are up-to-date. I was beginning to really hate dentists, after being ripped off for inferior work. However, Shirley has restored my belief in dentistry. I will return to Upper West Side Dental, to his dental chair today if it were necessary. I actually look forward to returning to Upper West Side Dental. I was in so much pain and was seen the same day. I has some teeth pulled and cavities taken care of by Dr. Shirley, he did and amazing job and was so kind. He even stayed a little late for me. I was so nervous because my cavities were big ones. No pain and everything feels fine now. After those visits I went back for a cleaning which was comfortable because I had nitrous. The front desk was so nice and always told me what I was paying before doing any treatments. Highly reccommend Dr. Shirley!
Dr. Shirley is very careful, understanding and precise. He made sure I was comfortable while I got procedures I had never done before and explained things thoroughly. He made sure I have preventative treatment and am staying healthy. The whole family felt this way including my teenage daughter.
Dr. Shirley is friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. You can tell he cares about his patients and providing them the best care possible. Great bedside manner. The rest of the staff are stellar as well. Everyone is friendly, they call you by your name, and they make you feel at home and comfortable in an environment that often elicits anxiety. I would recommend Upper West Side Dental to everyone.
Literally everyone in this office is AMAZING! All the staff is so warm and kind and Dr. Shirley makes sure you always feel comfortable and does great work! Brianna made getting my teeth done so so easy and stress free, she’s a rockstar! Great office!

Received a number of notifications prior to my appointment as well as health questions. The office takes lots of precautions during your visit and keeps patients separated. I don’t know anywhere else that takes this many precautions (this is a good thing!). Dr. Shirley and his team run a tight ship and the dental care is very comprehensive and top quality.
Dr. Shirley, Brianna, and Anna are fantastic. By far the most pleasant, fast, and attentive dentist visits I’ve ever had, and in the perfect location. They’re super thorough with insurance and payment info, and they make sure that everything gets addressed. Personal, professional, excellent all around!

I am so lucky to have found Dr. Shirley! He is gentle, professional, and really takes the time to listen and help you feel comfortable. In fact, I just got a cavity filled with zero pain. I was very nervous to have this done, but the doctor made the whole process just as easy as a normal cleaning. The office has been pristine and incredibly conscientious during COVID and I felt absolutely safe. Bonus: they have a delightful outdoor waiting area to minimize exposure in the office even more. I HIGHLY recommend this practice!
As soon as I stepped foot in the door, I felt welcome and relaxed. There is no waiting to begin your appointment and I feel that everyone respects each others time. I came in for my first and second visit for fillings and a cleaning. Ana at the front desk is very attentive, and will answer all your questions without you feeling rushed. The hygienist Carol was gentle and thorough in my cleaning and made sure I knew how to take better care of my teeth. Ive never had such a distinct experience as with Dr. Shirley who is patient and kind and ensures you are comfortable throughout the appointment. The office provides sunglasses for the bright lights in the room and headphones and even let you choose the music. Dr. Shirley explained everything before and then had a chat after to make sure I was satisfied. The entire office staff are friendly and helpful and I will definitely come back and recommend others here!
Done two wisdom tooth extractions here. Dr. Shirley is a fantastic dentist and made the whole experience very comfortable and pain free. Ana and Brianna are super friendly, helpful and informative. Booking was very easy, they gave me all the information up front. and COVID precautions made me few safe. I even watched The Last Airbender during my procedure.
If I could give this place 0 stars I would. The problem isnt the dentist. The problem is that nasty skanky receptionist. She catches an attitude for anything. Wanted me to pay extra money because of a missed appointment. Mind you, I called to let them know I wouldnt be able to make it. Still she is a professional at making people feel like dirt. Shame on you Dr Shirley for having that woman working there.
It is great being a patient at Upper West Side Dental! Dr Shirley and Ana make their patients feel at ease and help them understand the treatment. I had a filling and was comfortable and relaxed throughout the whole process. Definitely recommend trying for yourself!
Went for my first cleaning in over 2 years and it was the most pleasant experience!!! dr shirley and his staff made me feel comfortable and explained everything in detail. they also have a really cute ‘bubble’ seating area out front while i waited for my appointment. they are safe and respectful in terms of COVID- precautions. definitely coming back for future visits!! would recommend to anyone looking for a new dentist
Had a wonderful experience with Upper West Side Dental. Ana and the hygienists were friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. Dr. Shirley was timely, thorough, and attentive. Their philosophy is to treat their patients the way they would want to be treated - and they are walking the walk. Going to UWS Dental was one of the most positive experiences Ive had with a dentist. And they let you pick your own Pandora station to play during your visit! Highly recommend to everyone!
I was procrastinating on making a dentist appt after moving to the city a year ago and I absolutely loved this office and Dr. Shirley was amazing! Everything was super super clean and I felt extremely safe given the situation with COVID-19. Definitely will recommend to anyone who needs a great routine dentist!
I came in for a routine check up and cleaning. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. They were able to work with me to find the ideal appointments that didnt conflict with my work schedule. The cleaning process was also very comfortable. Dr. Shirley was great at communicating what steps need to be taken going forward to improve my smile. I would definitely recommend this place.
Best dentist I’ve ever been too! Would recommend to anyone who needs a dentist. Has great hours, very attentive and makes your feel comfortable in the chair! The receptionist is amazing. I am pleased with my visit to Upper West Side Dental. Dr. Shirley was great in assessing my teeth, providing detailed consultation and with answering all my questions regarding treatment. Carol the hygienist was awesome. I was a bit uncomfortable with the cleaning and she was great with comforting me and moving around the areas that hurt or were uncomfortable all the while still cleaning the area. Ana the office manager was sweet and really helped with my details regarding my dental. Explained my insurance coverage and out of pocket costs. I will coming back and making Dr.Shirley my permanent dentist. I highly recommend this office, not only is clean and well maintained the patient care is awesome.
After several visits to this dental office what stands out is theyre always consistent with professional customer service, cleanliness and upfront about the work youll need with no hidden surprises. Dr. Shirley does a great job with keeping teeth looking as natural as possible. For example I cant remember which tooth he did a filling for a cavity in the past because it matches & fits so well to this day. Ambiance is relaxing. As a repeat customer I recommend this dental office worth trying if youre unsure where to go. Plus they have great hours!
Edited review after visiting this office more times in the future. Not the most thorough dental visits I’ve had. Dental assistant lacked bedside manner and getting my teeth cleaned was always a messier job than I’d ever experienced. Dr. Shirley is nice but the office could do a better job of returning money they owe you for over billing.
WARNING! Dr Shirley made such a mess of my fillings that I had to go to my former dentist to have them repaired. He drilled out so much of my tooth for a basic cavity my professional dentist feared I would need a root canal but thankfully he was able to repair the damage. Im a medical professional so I have a pretty good amount of knowledge regarding dental anatomy and physiology. I hate to have to leave such a negative review of a colleague but this is warranted.
On October 20th I received an appointment with Dr. Shirley . On that day I received a cleaning and review on my teeth. I was scheduled another appointment for my wisdom tooth removal for November 20th at 1pm . I received a call from Brianna the receptionist stating that I need to see Dr. Shirley again to review my tooth ( I was confused because he already examed my tooth and scheduled me for a tooth removal). MY appointment was scheduled for 11/13 at 5:50pm, after showing up a few minutes late (10 minutes to be exact)apologizing for my lateness and requesting another appointment if possible (she told me that he was seeing another patient after me being 10 minutes late 🤷🏾♀️) Brianna stated that Dr. Shirley can no longer do the wisdom tooth removal. She later handed me a refferal from Dr. Shirley to a dentist in New Jersey..smh. Mind you the receptionist would not let me in the the office ( she was blocking the door) and she made feel very unwanted. I never felt so hamulated in my life. Just because I was a few minutes late Dr. Shirley refused his services according to the receptionist and referred me to someone else without my consent or my knowledge. The way this team treated me was poor customer service and lack of empathy for others.
The service here is amazing and tailored to each patient. Dr. Shirley and his staff are extremely professional and offer later business hours, which works for me since I have a hard time leaving the office for appointments. The icing on the cake is the ability to choose your own music in the patients room. Helps ease my anxiety about dentist visits. I highly recommend UWS.
I absolutely love this office! It was my first time here and the whole process was great. The front desk, Nastasha, was very friendly and helpful. I met the office manager who was also helpful when it came to explaining my insurance and co-pay. Everyone is so professional and friendly! The cleaning was so comfortable and Dr. Shirley was so nice, I had a cavity and he filled it a few days ago. No needle needed and no pain after he was done! I hate going to the dentist but I will be coming here every 6 months! I highly recommend this office also because of the late hours, I didnt have to miss work for a dental appointment.
Doctor Shirley and team are great! I’m a Brit (and the stories about British people’s teeth are kinda true!), so I needed A LOT of work, but the team here were super professional, kind and put me at ease. I had to have a wisdom tooth extracted(!) which I was stressed about, but Doctor Shirley was very patient with me, and the whole experience was actually okay. There was also no pain post extraction and everything healed up really nicely, and team also called to make sure I was alright a few days later!I would definitely recommend Upper West Side dental to anyone looking for a dentist!
The moment I get someone on the line to ask a question and possibly book an appointment, does not mean they should hang up the phone. Even a “Hello? Hello?” Would be nice to let me know they cannot hear me, if that was the case.Instead, I was immediately silenced, the moment they heard me speak.
First time going to a dentist here since moving to New York and it was a good experience at UWS Dental. Normally my cleanings are painful but my visit here was actually pleasant and no pain. Carol did a great job cleaning and explaining what was going on with my teeth from the X-ray and Dr. Shirley is very friendly. Look forward to my future visits!
Ive been with Upper West Side Dental for about a year now, and Ive never had a better experience going to the dentist! Ill actually go the recommended twice a year instead of constantly dodging it. Dr. Shirley is friendly, skilled, and professional, and Carol (a dental hygienist) did a wonderful job. Def recommend!
I am saddened to report that I did not have a good experience with Benjamin Shirley. I went in for a six-month checkup with him. I recently moved to New York and was wanting to find a regular dentist here.Benjamin Shirley made me feel awful about my teeth. He basically told me that if I didnt complete over a thousand dollars worth of procedures that my teeth would fare badly. I had some hesitation about his diagnosis considering that I have faithfully gone to the dentist for 20+ years and have never been told what he was telling me. I decided to seek a second opinion. However, prior to leaving the office, I had to sign a document that I was refusing his recommended treatment. I found that troubling. I returned home for the Holidays and sought the advice of my long-time previous dentist. He told me that I had nothing to worry about and that the work that had been suggested was unnecessary. Thus, I am very disappointed with my experience with Benjamin Shirley and cannot recommend that others seek treatment with him.
I love this office!!! I’ve been a patient for a few years and I can tell you that there’s no other experience like his one. Ana and Dr. Shirley are AMAZING!! Dr. Shirley is gentle, professional, and fun extremely knowledgable. The customer service is unmatched! I recommend all of my friends and family every chance I get.
Upper West Side Dental is fantastic! Dr. Shirley is caring and meticulous. He is also very focused and knowledgeable. The dental care you get is better than I am accustomed to since it is very obvious that he places a high priority on preventive care. Additionally his office is very clean and inviting and his staff is very friendly and professional. He is a great asset to our community.
Dr Shirley is the bomb! Super friendly and informative and a great knowledge of Aaliyah’s music to boot. Talked me through my options with my wisdom teeth and everyone in the office has a friendly attitude. No rudeness here!
I waited way too long (12 years!) to have a check up but Dr. Shirley and the staff here were so wonderful it made the experience very easy! They are taking great precautions in these covid days and I’m very grateful. But from booking to reminders to the appointments themselves, the whole process is quick and painless! Thanks UWS Dental!
My appointment was great! I didn’t feel anything when the doctor had to use the shot to numb my mouth, and I only found out about it afterwards. It was simple and easy, and as always the staff went out of their way to be very kind.
Nice customer services and relaxing environment: the dental assistants and front desk did provide enthusiasm and hospitality customer service to their customers. Dr. Shirley is very helpful and patient every time I visited his office. So overall great experience!
The way they treated my friend was unacceptable. Brianna the receptionist made her feel horrible all because she was 10 minutes late, had the nerve to give her a referral to another dentist in New Jersey (my friends lives in Harlem 🤷🏽♀️) and block the door way.... smh. Most real dental offices reschedule you not dismiss you and make you feel unwanted. Shame on the upper west side dental staff. Dr. Shirely need to check the people that work for him
Super friendly and thorough! Great atmosphere and they even let you choose a pandora station during your appointment. Open late so very convenient as well! The office is very professional and sleek and very comfortable. Carol the hygienist is very friendly and she let me wear headphones during the teeth cleaning. Nastasha and Dr. Shirley oversaw my exam and they were friendly and thorough!
Felt very safe with COVID precautions during my visit with Dr. Shirley and given a thorough exam and cleaning. Will definitely be back! I also appreciate that he has some weekend availability.
Best dental experience ever! they are unlike any clinic/ dental office I have ever been to in that they are perfectly transparent about what you will be billed prior to receiving a service, and making sure you are ok with it before you go through with it. And they get you in short notice! I have gotten in twice with only a couple days notice! and they have the whole Netflix option- really good reliable spot! Totally recommend it!

Ive been going to UWS Dental for a few years now, and they take great care of me! I went in for a cleaning last week, and was impressed by all the additional infection control precautions they have taken due to the coronavirus pandemic. A safe and clean office as always.

I had an impacted #17 tooth. It was laying in my gums like superman. I was relieved to learn that I was able to find Dentist Shirley because at that point I could no longer close my mouth. With his knowledge and a little laughing gas I could smile again. Thank you

I just moved back to NY and was anxious about finding a dentist. I lucked out when I got an appointment with Dr. Shirley. He was very professional, courteous, and had excellent bedside manners as a dentist. A special thanks to Ana for getting me an evening appointment and I would strongly recommend coming here.You won’t be disappointed.
Its my first year coming to UWS Dental because its a local business in my neighborhood, later business hours and positive reviews on many platforms. A couple of weeks ago, Dr. Shirley removed two of my wisdom teeth and am happy that he did it. I had no pain during the procedure and very little discomfort afterwards. Other co-workers, who gave me horror stories, did not have. Very happy!
I do not recommend this business. My bathroom was flooded, so I had to cancel. The cancellation fee starts at $100. They wanted to charge me $300! They require that you cancel 48 hours in advance. The receptionist didnt want to hear my excuse for cancelling and the dentist wouldnt let me talk to him. This policy is entirely unfair to patients. You cant predict lifes calamities 48 hours in advance.
I have never felt so humiliated and disrespected all my life. The way the receptionist Brianna treated me was CRAZY. Yes I was 10 minutes late and yes I requested an appointment change ( because she got it wrong the first time) , but that does not give anyone the right to give poor customer service. When I arrived 10 minutes not 15 minutes after my appointment ( after recieving several text and phone calls every 2 minutes) I asked to be rescheduled, I was told no and then was told that Dr. shirely will not service me moving forward and gave me a referral to a dentist in New Jersey during COVID ( I live in Harlem.. smh) Treat people bad your business will not grow.

Used to be great, but now SUBPAR, since expanding their office. Dr. Shirley was great, hence the 2 stars, but be wary of the office staff. They are disorganized, unprofessional, and lack accountability. I had been a patient for years, my insurance switched and they CANCELED without any notice. They left messages asking about my new insurance, I tried to return their call, but their phones rang without an answer. They even said in a message that my appointment was confirmed. When I showed up because I could not get through, they made me wait 15 minutes before they told me they canceled my appointment. They have a strict cancellation policy, but dont respect a customers time. They blamed their phones, but that doesnt mean that they made it right with me, and tried to shift the blame to me. OK, I should have updated my insurance, but if I cant even get through on the phone, how is that supposed to happen? At least TELL SOMEONE that their appointment has been canceled.
To respond to “Dr.Shirley” I had two appointments, one was Friday November 6th and another appointment for Friday November 20th to get my tooth removed, therefore you had time in your schedule bc I was already on the schedule before your vacation. Let’s be clear, you dismissed me as a client all because I was 10 minutes LATE . WARNING: please don’t be a minute late to this office or Brianna the receptionist is going to give you another referral to another dentist and tell you don’t come back anymore. That’s exactly what they did to me. You try to support a black owned business and this is the POOR customer service you will receive. YOUVE BEEN WARNED
The best dental experience Ive ever had...! Karal and Anna are provided excellent service... I am so recommending all all of my family and friends... They actually ask what type of music you would like listening to while youre being treated.... totally awesome... it took me 20 years and Ive finally found the perfect dentist...

I love this place. Dr.Shirley did a fabulous job, on my tooth i am really happy with my results. He has magically fingers I didnt even notice he inject my gums. Very thorough dental exam and cleaning, Carol (hygienist) was super helpful in explaining everything as she went along and Dr. Shirley listened to all of my concerns. The music and sunglasses during the cleaning are also a nice touch.

Dr. Shirley’s office was friendly, thorough, and most importantly, efficient. I arrived ten minutes early and left exactly one hour later, which was the time I was told it would take for the exam. They were very informative and helpful too!

I had a great experience at Upper West Side Dental. From the moment I walked in I was warmly greeted and heard the sound of ocean waves from the tv which helped calm my nerves. I was even asked if I had a pandora playlist that helps me relax during my treatment! These details made my experience much better than most dental experiences I’ve had. I won’t be afraid to come back here!

Shirley (the dentist at this office). I was curious about it, so I googled it. It turns out this is a certificate that is awarded to any recipient who has PAID for it. This particular award and organization that the award is supposedly given by has been debunked by Forbes back in the early 2010s when Dr. Shirley was supposedly given this award. Any google search will do for the article involving the Consumers Research Council of America.Ive also included pictures of this dentists award, as well as a simple google search that shows the award givers address is a P.O. box from D.C. that isnt even active anymore (proving this is not a real/prestigious award).______________________________________________Edit: It seems that the owner has responded. Ill respond to the points in order.For the point about insurance, I dont find it amusing that a doctor will put up a funny story award that could be misleading to a new, young patient, especially since that is the award that directly faces me during the appointment.Yes, I sat through the appointment because I felt threatened that the receptionist would call security and/or force my hand at paying anyway. Im a student at Columbia, so Im very familiar with the area and other services offered around; Im not exaggerating when I say this experience was out of the ordinary. This does not violate actual privacy & confidentiality through HIPAA Administrative Security Rule because no names were disclosed, but I really had to double-check the exact laws.As it is a matter of my personal well-being, the status of my relationship between my family members and who (if I did) put on a phone call and the fact that I even did so that is, I personally see this action questionable (which is why I looked it up) when regarding client confidentiality on a public forum. Again, no formal identifiers were stated, but Im still upset at even the level of information that was shared, without my disclosure (which was then deleted as if it never happened).
Doctor Ben Shirley is great a very calming. It helps that he plays great music! Also, if you care about supporting Black American doctors, he is superb!!!

State of the art technology, friendly staff and great hours.They qued up mmy favotire show on Hulu to watch during my teeth cleaning. Those are never fun but they try hard to make it tolerable, and the equipment ensured a speedy cleaning.Takes all insurance. Really dug the place.

Although initially the staff and the doctor are gentle, friendly, and they go out of their way to communicate clearly each step theyre taking, when it comes time for them to tell you what other services they are recommending or the cost for what theyve already done, they are defensive and patronizing.

I would give Dr. Shirley and his colleagues more stars if I could. I was truly terrified, paralyzed by anxiety about coming to the dentist - I hadn’t been in 6 years. I was immediately out at ease, everyone who helped me including and especially the doctor, took every possible action to make me comfortable, and to my astonishment (or my anxiety’s, I guess), I was comfortable throughout. Thank you all so much!

2022-02-22I’m so happy to find this place. Dr. Shirley is incredible. Other dentists I went try to add unessessary procedure but Dr.Shirley is being honest and tell me what I can and cannot do. The staffs are great, they are nice and calm and provide you with any information you need. I love that they still check temperature because that is still needed. Overall, i finally found the perfect dentist in the bud apple.

2022-07-13I just went here for the first time and was pleasantly surprised by how nice the staff was and how efficiently they ran the place. They really seem to use technology to their advantage here. Some of the examinations the dentist did were much more thorough than what I’ve received at previous dental offices and I credit that to high tech devices and proper training. All around great experience.

2022-07-23I went in to get a couple teeth pulled, and although the extraction went smoothly, I was given hardly no post-op instructions. They told me they would call to follow up in a couple weeks, and after several weeks of not hearing from them I started to notice some painful swelling so I called them. I was able to get an appointment relatively quickly and when I asked if it was possibly a piece of tooth fragment, Dr. Shirley told me that was impossible and that it was my jaw bone readjusting and they may need to shave it down if it still hurt in 3 weeks, and that they would call me. The next week a piece of tooth fragment came out and the swelling immediately went down, proving Dr. Shirley wrong, and now several months later I have not received a single phone call from them like they promised.

2022-03-29I recently visited the office myself and I was very pleased with Dr.Shirley. I decided to bring my little boys ages 3 1/2 and 5 years old. My boys absolutely loved DrShirley, he was super patient and gentle with them. Safe to say we have found our family dentist.

2022-07-28I recently changed dentists and am so happy I found UWS Dental. The staff is incredibly friendly, clear, knowledgeable, and communicative. Dr. Shirley and the dental assistant kept me informed of the procedures along the way and took time to answer all my questions. Additionally, took time during the check-in and check-out process to explain and answer all questions. They even let you pick music to be played in the exam room! I highly recommend UWS Dental.
