Urban Outfitters in other cities:
I came to buy the north face jacket because the seller who stands near the door approached me and said it was very expensive for me, I don’t remember the name, but I was a black girl, the ambassador started yelling at me and I wished her good night and left. I do not recommend this store to anyone it was generally tough and insulting
Im pretty biased to this place because they sell very good vinyls and the music choice is amazing compared to other retailers. I remember walking in and being greeted by Tyler The Creators Boredom and singing along while I shopped! This Urban is probably one of the better ones when it comes to variety for both men and women, sure its pricey however the selection is definitely worth it in my opinion! I see myself coming here every week or two to see styles change. The staff is always on point too I always see them hard at work!
This is my first time writing a review, but I feel like I have to for this employee. Crystal was absolutely amazing. She helped me in the fitting room with a smile, told me about these gia pants that I LOVE, then convinced me to buy them in every color online. She’s amazing. I wish every employee at retail stores are as friendly/opening as she is.
Great Urban Outfitters location with good sale section and lots of inventory to browse. They always have the newest clothing styles, cool apartment decor, and an impressive vinyl selection. Prices on clothing here are a little high at times, but not bad compared to other stores in the city.
I was looking around to see this nice clothes they had and some skin care stuff and a person that worked there was very weird, the person was staring me very hard and I got so uncomfortable that I had to leave. Before I had good experience with this shop but I have no idea why Im treated like a weirdo when Im just shopping like an other normal person. 😐
I am pleased with the cosmetics section. Lots of interesting new and indie brands, testers available ( keep them cleaner, please!), and even some stuff on sale. Sign up coupon of 10% when you download the app is a bonus, so plan your shopping for that special desire or sale sweep!
Pretty clothes, price is a lil on the expensive side compared to the quality of materials that are used. I would go shop here 2years ago. Some of employees here are very very nice and kind to help, some are not so friendly. Actually that customer service is one of the reason I stopped going this company.Wish everyone works here is as good as some super nice one.
In order for me to decide what to get buy from UO, it took me a long time so I had to visit it twice. The second time around I got one pair of pants @29 plus as part of their 70 per cent sale.It is a store for the youth so the rating is not objective being a senior citizen. In the 2 occasions I was there I was the elderly among the customers.Still, it is good to have a store for the young and vibrant.
Big and chic and similar in ambiance to larger Urban Outfitters stores. Remarkably clean for a city store - most things are on the rack and in the right place! Wow! The staff is also friendly and laid back. Fun to wander around in if you just want a break. Small clearance area. Otherwise prices are reasonable, or a little bit high.
Its one of the better Urbans. Great space with a thought out floor plan makes it fun to shop and explore products. Employees are alittle hard to find when you need help but once you do, theyre happy to help you. Their cafe is run really smoothly and offers some tasty food at a little bit of a high price.
This review is for the Hair Salon only ...Came into this awesome store and while my wife was shopping thought I might as well get my hair and beard trimmed.Went in and saw a few hair dressers just sitting and playing on their phones. Asked about getting my hair done and the lady just rolled her eyes at me and said ... “we don’t do that here and don’t use shavers”.As I walked out, saw a guy at the far end of the salon getting his beard shaved.Taking my business elsewhere
Huge store that takes up the whole block and has three floors! Great selection of beauty products for skin, hair, etc. Also, the store has a space for bedding and pillows upstairs that patrons casually sit on. Their shoe selection is better at this location than the others that Ive visited. The space is really beautiful and open.
This review is solely for two employees at the 34th street herald square location, Richard (manager) and Chris (working in the men’s section downstairs). They went above and beyond to help me. If i left this review up to just the shipping and receiving team for online orders, they’d get zero stars.I had SO much trouble with picking up an online order in store. I’d been going back and forth trying to pick it up, the order wasn’t found in the system and the receiving department hadn’t even processed it for almost two days. Someone over the phone told me they pulled the items and to come pick them up. I ran into Chris first who was working the fitting room. He tried calling someone over and no one came so he had someone cover the fitting rooms and came to help Me himself. Initially the items weren’t “picked” yet so I couldn’t pick up the order despite an associate telling me to come down there to pick it up, even after specifically asking if they’re sure that would work. Then Richard, the manager, happened to be working behind the same counter downstairs a few minutes later, and him and Chris picked the items for me by scanning them, to get the order processed. They apologized and were really nice about it and saved me from wasting more time. These are the first incredibly helpful employees I’ve come across, and they were incredibly respectful.
Love shopping here for the clothing sometimes. I usually do most of it online. They got way for stuff online. Folks get surprised when I tell them they sold furniture online. I say shop online first, then if youre not sure see if you could check it out at a store second.
Im going to have to downgrade this place due to the lack of customer service. For some reason everytime I shop in this place, I always be followed by loss prevention personals. And this past Saturday, I asked one of the store associates about a bag at the self check out, she was very rude. Like all that attitude for a lousy bag. This happened around 1:30pm. Like wow. And this store lacks inventory. This store lacks customer service skills.
One of the better Urbans. Great space with a thought out floor plan makes it fun to shop and explore products. Employees are alittle hard to find when you need help but once you do, theyre happy to help you. Their cafe is run really smoothly and offers some tasty food at a little bit of a high price.
Ive been to a lot of there stores, but this one seems to have the friendliest staff! And a ton of variety. One thing: It can get super crowded so be aware of that, but also they have a huge lack of variety for certain sizes such as XL and L. 4/5, would return of they had more sizes available
Typical urban outfitters of ironic t-shirts and nostalgic knock knacks. Clean place with good curated clothes if your into overpriced hyped alt hipster Street wear. Ill be honest I saw a shirt in there selling for 35 that was 10 in another store. Use it to get ideas to be totally honest.
This is my Fav UP in the city, they have a large selection and three floors! Not to mention a cafe that serves pretty unique meals by weight. Everything is nice and tasty. So far I have found the best selections of facial products, sunglasses, clothes etc here. Great vibe too.
The company in general has overpriced their clothing for materials that damage very quickly. Whether it be from washing (even gently washing) or just from a couple of uses. The cafe was great but again also over priced. The store is huge and customer service is good, but not the best place to shop for quality.
I havent been here for a few months and the self check out was is new thing to me. Ive done self check out at target but not at a clothing store. To be honest, I felt that the self check out is very time consuming and inefficient. If you are looking to avoid human contact by opting for a self checkout then you are gonna be disappointed. You will still have to go through a sale associate to remove the security tags on the clothes before you can check yourself out. Hence the inefficiency. In the time that they finish taking the tags off and me scanning the clothes myself and packing them I wouldve already been done and out if I was paying at the cashier.
So I went here on a whim while waiting for my train and I was surprised at what was in store for me. Mens apparel is downstairs so I had to navigate through womens amidst the unkindly stares and disapproving looks (from the mannequins. Or customers, they all looked the same anyways) maybe the experience would have been better had the pretentiousness not prevailed. Shouldve kept a register open downstairs too, but I digress
I’ve always loved Urban Outfitters but have since gained some weight. These things happen. However I went to the Urban Outfitters at Herald Square in Manhattan and was so disappointed in their selection of clothes for larger people. I have never felt so fat shamed by a store in my entire life. Not a single XL piece of clothing in the entire store (and yes... I asked). I am by no means “fat” and they had zero pieces of clothing for me. Truly disappointed.
I called this location to see if they had a particular sale item but I did not have the SKU number. Obviously its a sale item so it wouldnt be that hard to locate within the store but the associate did not want to go into the sale section, instead he told me he could not help me unless I had the SKU number. That really pissed me off because Ive been to the store before and the sale section is very small and not too far from wherever he picked up the phone. This is so frustrating and Ive worked in retail for many years and I know how I should be treated just like everyone else should be treated with as much help as possible and whoever this associate was, he chose not to do anything about it instead he was lazy. Im already losing interest in the Urban Outfitters store and this is not the first time I received bad customer service. Imma just take my butt to Zara from now on.
I know its supposed to be cool that the space looks like a rummage sale - something thrown together overnight so vagrants could make a lil coin to live off the next week... a crude pop-up on Avenue B...But look, look at the prices! An Ashley Simpson vinyl for $29?Wake up people. Nobody looks hot in mom jeans. Irreverent is Sooooo over-played.
How can this place be so big and so amply staffed and still have less of a selection than other mens departments and have no one around to help you out. Jammed with tourists and the staff seem to know that people will buy no matter what so there is no regard paid to locals and regulars. If you want a mens urban outfitters experience, take that BDFM train down to the one in Soho. A million times better.
Enjoyed the UO Home section on the 3rd floor. Winter sale was kinda weak, imo - Ive seen more extensive sale sections at other UOs. Vintage section that I was looking forward to was pretty limited, too. Cosmetics section was extensive. They had a poke bar and hair salon inside, which was cool.
I always go to this store when I go shopping with my friends.I like their styles.Whenever I come here, I want to too many stuff. This store is large, and the casher is at the very back of the first floor or at the very end right next to fitting on the second floor so it might be kind of confusing if you first come here.
Went through self check out, my dress had one of those tags that needed to be removed before I left the store. I saw TWO girls standing there talking and asked for their help, they directed me to a woman who was already helping someone and I had to wait. The other girls just continued their personal conversation. Like what are you getting paid for? You just stand there and talk when a customer needs help. Soooo ridiculous and rude. Then received an attitude from the girl taking the tag off. DiD yOu BuY tHis HeRe?? Uhh.. where else would I have bought it from?
First of all, I dont remember ever writing a review for this place ever. Second, this place gets an automatic zero not because of the food or the employees, but because the general manager is a cold hearted egotistical jerk. The baristas are wonderful, the general manager creates a hostile working environment for everyone there. The baristas deserve a 5-star but until the current general manager stops working there Ill never return or even consider giving this place a good review. Hire a real professional to run that place, not an emotionally unstable guy that shouldnt have too much power to begin with.
HORRIBLE customer service. NEVER come here unless you wanna get yelled and pushed away. The manager here is unbelievably and extremely rude. Threatened me to leave and never come back when I did nothing but just asked for my refund for returning. Nice clothes but customer service is nightmare. Wish they pick someone who understands politeness to work here.
This place is yesterdays hipster nirvana - emphasis on yesterday, but not in a necessarily bad way. As any hipster knows, tastes change, but the ethos remains the same. Like any fashion trend, clothing lines drop in and out of vogue, certain shoes are in one day out the next, etc. Stores like Urban Outfitters are fighting the good fight to maintain a hold of the ethos while trying to sustain a business model that isnt exactly in line with hipster values. This store is perched precariously on a super-expensive piece of real estate on the northern perimeter of Herald Square. Yet their prices cant be obscene. Theyre clothes need to have a sufficiently worn look with just the right number of tears. Theyve diversified their products and include a sweet coffee and small knoshing bar to round out the vibe. Overall, a sweet tidy place, filled mostly with tourists - as are most of the heavily trafficked Manhattan hubs - trying mightily to stay afloat and relevant in a cutthroat commercial strip.
I essentially burned through half my lunch break trying to pick up a single item here, because there was one person at cash wrap and a massive line. Also a bad look that multiple other employees kept stopping by cash wrap to chat, but no one opened a second register. I worked in retail for 8 years, I know how it is, but come on. If theres a huge line and youre not going to help, save your cash warp visit.
The worst company they work with carriers that stole the packages I ordered 4 sneakers almost 300 dollars and they didn’t deliver it I called customer service and they didn’t help they want me to go to my bank and do a police report after they made me wait 5 days the worst service ever I spoke with the “supervisor” and she didn’t give me any solution

2022-04-11I love this urban outfitters store. You can always find sales happening. The store is nice, clean, and organized. On the higher level are the home department and lower men. The staff is helpful and knowledgeable about size and inventory. The book section is so cute; many unique finds in this entire store. I love the retro look and the vinyl records / music area; you can find many new artists and some old bands. Its like a time travel to the 1970s.Paying was quick, and customer service was a pleasant experience when having to return a T-shirt.

2021-10-11Rockefeller center is a large area covering several buildings. I Found a tourist map that directed me to all of the points of interest, the beautiful murals and architecture. Ive also been to Top of the Rock observation deck Which has beautiful 360゚ views of Manhattan. Saint Patricks Cathedral is also right across the street.

2022-05-18This whole company is a scam, they steal your money. Worst customer service I have ever dealt with.I ordered a furniture item in February 2022 (wardrobe). Biggest mistake ever. The item was of poor quality and defective, so it could not even be assembled properly. I contacted customer service for a refund, first of all, they made me disassemble it and fit it back into the original box which took me hours but thats fine. Item was picked up within the next several days but to this day I DID NOT RECEIVE MY MONEY BACK. It is May! Its been 3 months.I contacted their customer support through the chat several times and all they can give me is empty promises. They have been withholding my money for months, and I dont even believe theyll refund me.It is not just $10, it is $216. Never again I will buy anything from this place.

2019-07-27Rude! I hate it when youre at the counter and the employees have a conversation as if you arent there. We went to the self-checkout and items were ringing up as $0.10. So we told them, and a skinny girl with braces and black hair was pretty rude about it and charged us way more money than what we thought it should be, then she went back to the other employee so she could finish her conversation. Sorry for interruptiing! I will not be returning.
