We love this place! I took my 2 yo with several cavities - he needed a root canal, an extraction, two fillings!! All the dentists weve worked with have been great.. most recently with Dr Amanda & Dr Marn. My kids dont dread the dentist and Im very pleased with the care and attention they get.
Warm engaging frontdesk staff and the dentist is amazing, she takes time to walk you through whats happening and checks in with the patient to make sure they are comfortable. My son was calm and happy. Great dentist!
My daughter has been coming here for the last two years and she loves it! Dr Amanda is so sweet and nice! She’s always gentle with my daughter and makes sure she always feels comfortable. Would recommend 10/10
I really value Dr Marn’s expertise, passion and genuine care for the children she sees. We go out of our way to keep taking our children to her, despite probably having alternatives that are closer, because I feel really confident in the quality of dental care we get from her.

I highly recommend Urban Pediatric Dental! We have been bringing our two boys to Dr. Jessica Loo Marn for 10+ years and we cannot say enough positive things about Dr. Marn and all of her colleagues. They are gentle and fun with the kids, to the point where they actually look forward to their appointments! I love eavesdropping on their conversations — my boys are clearly relaxed and happy chit-chatting, like they are catching up with old friends. Dr. Marn, and all of the dentists and staff exude warmth and caring. I appreciate, too, how the front office is always so on top of everything, reminding us of our appointments, flexible with scheduling, and just so friendly. Needless to say, the office is super well-kept and the kids get excellent care. I am grateful that they communicate clearly about the work they are about to do. When my younger child had to have cavities filled, the doctor who took care of him did it in such a way that he really didnt feel pain or stress at all. They talk to the kids throughout their process, reassuring and distracting them.Our insurance actually covers dental (in another network), but we continue to see Dr. Marn and pay out of pocket, because we cant imagine going anywhere else. We recently signed up for their new subscription program, where you pay a reasonable annual fee, which covers the twice-yearly check-ups, X-rays, and emergencies. We would have paid a bit more anyway, out of pocket, so the subscription is a good deal. Highly recommended!

I highly recommend Urban Pediatric Dental for your child! I took my 18 month old son here for his first dental appointment. The ladies in the front desk were very nice and attentive. They were very knowledgeable about my insurance inquiries. After getting called in, everything was neat and clean. My child saw Dr. Bair, she was very sweet and very knowledgeable. She was very straightforward. We did the knee to knee method. She gave me a bunch of tips, since I struggle brushing his teeth and especially because he is a biter.Overall a smooth experience, loved the doctor, and I can’t wait to bring my son back in 6 months.Would highly recommend this place for your child’s dental needs!
I needed a dentist office on the weekend since my son was jumping and busted his mouth that effected his two front teeth. They were VERY gentle with him with the process of getting him X-rays of his teeth and I’m very happy about that because he is only two years old. Very lovely staff also very helpful and informative. Will be making this our primary dentist for my son.
Dr. Jessica is the best! My daughter has been under her care for two years and always feels extremely comfortable and warm with her. I would recommend Dr. Jessica to anyone!
They did a very good job during this pandemic to make sure patients are safe. Survey was sent days prior to visit and confirm again at the time of visit. Control well and make sure only serving one patient at a time, they called to the notify you the previous patient has been left before having you to come for next appointment. And lastly, staffs are nice and attentive. My child loves Dr. Alina!
The staff was great. They were welcoming and friendly. We were a little late for our appointment so when we walked in we had our temperature checked and then went right into the exam room. The doctor was very gentle with my 8 year old son and kept asking him if he was ok. She even gave him a mirror so he could see into his mouth. I think that eased his anxiety a lot.
My kids loves to go to the UPD and they like the dentists they receive cares from. Friendly supporting staffs and have not experience any issues. Unfortunately, we have new dentist almost every year (Dr. Fatina, Dr. Bair, Dr.OBrian, Dr. Amanda, Dr Marn...and more). Other than that, we are happy with the dental care.
Dr. Marn and her staff are great! The office is clean and patients are well spaced out due to covid. My kids have been going to Dr. Marn for over 10 years and they enjoy their visits. Dr. Marn is caring and engages with the kids all the time, which makes them more at ease.
Weve scoured NYC for the perfect dentist for our ADD/ADHD/high anxiety kids and Urban Pediatric dental is it! My children used to be afraid of the dental office and they are no longer. My youngest has a strong gag reflex and it was impossible for other dental offices to obtain a clear, successful X-ray. This office managed to get my son to complete clear and meaningful x-rays. They also minimize their anxiety and do only whats necessary. With the ongoing pandemic, they are doing all they can to safeguard patients during their appointments, including seeing one patient/famiily at a time and disinfecting pre- and post-visit. Weve been seeing Dr. Marn for over 5 years and we feel so at home with her and her staff. Theyre the best!
Came here for my 18 month first check up and it was a great experience, the dentist really are kids friendly and knows how to calm the little ones down and make them feel at ease. Clean environment as far as the work stations. The staff are very helpful and patients with both kids and parents, I will definately stick with Urban pediatric dental.
My two daughters come to this dental clinic. I have nothing but good things to say about this clinic. The staffs are very nice and accommodating, the clinic is clean, and dentists are very knowledgeable. My girls had a bad experience with their last dentist from another clinic and so going to their appointment was always difficult for them. But since coming to this place, my girls are always calm, relax, and not afraid. Coming to their appointments are always easy now.
This was our first time, we were transferring from a different practice. I forgot to get the dentist’s name they saw us last week but she was amazing with my daughter- she had this incredible singing voice and she kept her happy for the whole appointment. Since we got home she had been playing dentist all week. Thank you so much, we will be returning.
The doctors, are very good with my 2 daughters, at 5 and 3 years old. was able to get them to sit well and let them work on the cleaning and SDF for my daughters cavities. i also had some child filling done and the doctor was able to do it without too much effort.
Both my kids go there. The dentist takes the time to explain to the kids what is being done so there is no stress and unknowns. The nurses are also very good with the kids. It makes going to the dentist very easy. My son especially loves the movies that play on a screen over every dental chair.
We are very happy we found Urban Pediatric for my now 2.5 year old. Dr. Marn is just great. She is through, caring and clearly very experienced working with toddlers.
Dr. Jessica Marn is one of the most thorough and compassionate dentists that I have met with excellent bedside manner. My daughter had a dental procedure done on Tuesday and she received top notch service. Dr. Richard Marn was also fantastic in walking us through the entire sedation process making us feel more at ease. The staff (Cici and Leanne) as well as the nurses are very professional and warm. I highly recommend this practice to anyone with toddlers as their experience would be a positive one.

Dr. Marn and her staff were great! My daughter was nervous about her first dentist visit but Dr Marn made it fun and welcoming and we left being excited about our next visit. Highly recommend!
Came here with my 4 year old for his first dental check up and cleaning. It went well and I thought the practitioner was very nice and professional and put my son at ease.The office is a bit cramped and shares a building with a lot of Chinese doctors offices presumably primarily serving Chinatown. However the practice is clean, and has a nice atmosphere. I would recommend.
Both my kids go here. We have been with her for one year. Her service is amazing.They just recently moved into a new office. It is gorgeous. Her dental practice will now even be able to service more kids. If you havent found a dentist yet. I highly recommend: Dr. Jessica Marn.
Dr. Marn was highly recommend to me by one of my professional colleagues when my son needed extensive dental work at the age of 4 and I couldn’t be any happier. I live in Brooklyn and Dr. Marn’s office is in NYC - I would travel any distance to have my children seen by her. My children absolutely love her! She is Asian (as well as the majority of the staff) and I am African American. I always feel at home when I visit the office. If your looking an office where professionalism is a top priority and the dental care is extraordinary UPD is where you’ll find it!
This is the top pediatric dental practice around. I manage an ortho practice nearby and refer all our kids to Dr. Marn and her team of wonderful doctors at Urban Pediatric Dental. We have been working with them for many years and have consistently received great feedback from all the parents and kids that go there. The dental staff is always professional, really friendly, and very patient when dealing with nervous kids. They have a beautiful modern office that is centrally located in downtown Manhattan and easily accessible by all subway trains. An added plus is that they are open on both Saturdays and Sundays - a major convenience for busy NYC parents.
My son has been going to Urban Pediatric Dental for the past year, and were really happy with their service. We had a couple of bad, and very expensive, dental experiences in recent years, so were relieved that these guys are professional, efficient, thorough and child-friendly. Dr Marn has the right personality for the job!
I wish I could give 10 starts to Urban Pediatric Dental!! My son had cavities and they got infected. We went to see several pediatric dentists in NYC, but no doctor was as thorough, professional and caring as Dr. Marn at the Urban Pediatric Dental. My child was only 3 at that time, and we were so nervous to put him through the oral procedures but she explained every step and process very clearly and thoroughly, showing pictures of similar cases. After the surgery and all procedures were done, I couldnt be more impressed what an outstanding job she did with his teeth!! Dr. Marn is a rock start to me!!! In addition, their office staff are all extremely helpful, kind, and knowledgeable with insurance process. My child is actually excited about going there for check ups.
Had an wonderful experience with Both Dr. Marn. We had an baby root canal done under IV-sedation when she was 4 years old. She’s very comfortable with Dr. Marn and had an very nice experiences. And the staff’s member are very nice especially Leanne. Highly recommended

Dr. Basa was amazing with my son who is usually frightened at dental appointments. She managed to be so sweet and gentle with him which made him relax and trust her. He ended up getting two loose teeth extracted and was so at ease due to Dr. Basa’s charm and was easy peezy! The staff was wonderful and accommodating and wait time was minimal! I highly recommend Urban Pediatric Dental/Dr. Basa for your child’s dental care! ❤️
Clean office, friendly staffs and experienced dentists. I took my 18 mo daughter there for her first dental check up, asked tons of questions about my daughter’s teeth, doctor and staffs were so patient to answer all, and taught me some skills on how to take care of my daughter’s teeth. Highly recommend this office.
Dr. Marn (Urban Pediatric Dental) is THE BEST! She is kind and sweet and my children adore her. My son Marcus has been seeing Dr. Marn since he was 15 month old. Diagnosed with a severe baby tooth decay at the age of one Dr. Jessica Marn and her team went above and beyond to help us when no other dentist would. Dr. Marn always does her best to make my children feel happy and comfortable even in the most stressful situations. She is very professional and understanding and always addresses all of my concerns as a parent. No matter what the issue is, Dr. Marn is always there to help. On many occasions when we have had a dental emergency, Dr. Marn fits us in her busy schedule and even though we live 90 minutes away, it’s well worth the drive! I highly recommend Dr. Marn and my family is truly fortunate to have met the Urban Pediatric Dental Team!
Dr. Marn was our sons savior. She performed emergency surgery the very same day and removed the full mouth infection that the previous pediatric dentist did not take care off and let his teeth rot to the point where the whole mouth was infected.So happy with all she has done and our son respects her.
My son had an emergency and the office was understanding and accommodating by squeezing him in next day. Office is conveniently located (for me) in chinatown on mott st. Office was clean and kid friendly. Disney movies kept kids occupied during the short wait.Dr Loo and Dr Basa were very good with my son and kept him calm during his abnormal check in.After that, his routine cleaning was thorough and painless. I recommend this office to others. If the office is far, it makes for a good day out in ctown after the visit to try out restaurants in area.

Dr Fatina was so wonderful with my child who has special needs and hadnt had a proper dental exam in 3 years. I am rating 4 because the waiting area is so small and loud: there is the office music, the movie playing loudly on the TV and the videos on the kids phones/ iPads... Let alone my child, even I couldnt bear it.

2022-04-04My boys have been coming here for over a decade. Dr Marn and the staff are so kind and sweet. She treats her patients like family. Dr Marn takes the time to explain all the procedures and options. Dr Marn was our first and will be our only dentist! Best ever!!

2021-09-24Not a long wait time. Dental hygienists really sweet and Dr. Wilson was such a delight! Great bedside manners and made my toddler feel at ease! What was really cute was they sent my toddler a picture home in the mail about his first visit with a cute reminder to brush, floss and smile!! That put a smile on my face as well!!! Lastly they are open on Saturday and Sunday which makes it’s really convenient for working parents and kids in school! We’ll be back for sure:)

2021-11-11Our pediatrician recommended us to take our son to see a pediatric dentist for his first year.After some research, I found Urban Pediatric Dental and I’m so glad that I did!We absolutely love Dr. Amanda. She really took her time walking us through our son’s first visit (as first time parents, any doctor visit can be nerve racking) and the secretary and dental assistants were really accommodating and nice.We love Dr. Amanda and the whole UPD team! This office is a gem!

2021-11-23Dr. Jessica Marn took such great care and attention to our daughter during our visit; dare I say she made my daughter look forward to paying her a visit next time around! Dr. Marn was thorough in her explanations of what is to be expected in the early years of child oral development and put our minds at ease. The office is very clean, vibrant, and playful. We left with an awesome goody bag . I highly recommend anyone who is looking for a caring pediatric dentist .

2021-12-05Urban Pediatric Dentistry is a hidden gem in the middle of Chinatown. If you’re looking for a knowledgeable, efficient, cost effective Pediatric dentist that is great with kids, strongly consider them. We have a 4 and 7 year old. We were between dentists for the past year and a half and the kids both got cavities. UPD took them on short notice and gave them treatments on same day. Kids were happy and didn’t complain, despite the need to drill and do fillings. That made me happy. I don’t want my kids dreading dental visits. UPD exceeded my hopes.

2021-09-07We were turn down by many pediatric dentists for filling for my daughter because of her young age. Dr. Marn and Dr. Richard Marn are amazing.They came to the rescue and did a fantastic job. The office staffs are very nice and friendly and office environment is kids friendly and feels comfortable to be in. Highly recommended!

2021-09-07We have been coming to this pediatric dentistry for over 5 years and we hope to come for many more years. The office is kids friendly, the appointments are on time and most of all the doctors and assistances are super good with children. In my experience, they listen to parents and don’t push unnecessary treatments. My child is always happy to get a little goodie bag from the dentist :)

2021-05-29It was my daughters first time at the dentist and she did amazing!!! Everyone was so nice and friendly. We were seen on time, place was clean and welcoming. I loved how Dr. Amanda explained everything before cleaning my baby’s teeth! My daughter was so happy when she received a new toothbrush and some other goodies from Dr. Amanda! Awesome job Urban pediatric dental! See you in six months!!!!!

Highly recommend them for their bedside manner, efficiency, friendliness and for how incredibly ORGANIZED they are around insurance and scheduling. My kids hate doctor appointments, and theyve done as well as we could have ever hoped with Dr. Amanda and Dr. Jessica Marn. A+++ team.

2021-05-17This was absolutely an amazing experience, my three year old is curious, talkative and loud and the office smiled laughed and cheered her on while in the middle of her singing your welcome. The Dr, and staff was so friendly answered every question with a smile. She was very gentle and patient with her. Oh and when I say the timing was amazing I mean no wait time at all and it wasn’t a rush appointment. Love them will see them again in six months.
