I had foot surgery by Dr Dixon at the Everett Rd Surgical Center. This place is phenomenal. The staff is so accommodating and professional. From my first contact with Keri the scheduler, to the receptionist, all the nurses and aides (shout out to Stacey and Colleen), Dr Hadad, Dr Dixon, Sean Ceci, I was so well cared for.The building is clean, the atmosphere is calming. Great experience.
Doctors and staff very unprofessional unconcerned. They refused to call an ambulance on a patient that they told may have a life-threatening blood clots. This facility is run poorly by on concerned employees that need to be fired and report it to the board. I don’t advise that anybody go to ortho New York seek other care.
Excellent care was provided to me. I went in with shoulder pain only to find out it was torn rotator cuff. Justina Mueller suggest I do a MRI. She made the appointment then called me because I was dragging my feet. WOW!MRI confirmed Justina stated to me. My surgery was scheduled shortly after. Dr Alfandre who did my surgery did an outstanding job. I feel like a new person. They are a great team. Very understanding about any concerns. I truly appreciate them.
I have had so many orthopedic surgeons and doctors in my life. Its unfortunate for me. I must say that the bedside manner of the doctor that Ive had appointments with was incredible. The staff were all professional and friendly. Im the type of patient that gives the most honest review. The wait time was normal. Not long at all. This is the Clifton Park location by the way. Xrays was a little wait. Still not long. Overall, I would recommend these team of professionals.
My husband and I was so disappointed in the service that was provided. My husband went because he had severe pain in the lower back he walks in the back to be seen and out within three mins no meds just a refer saying bad posture never seriously checked his lower back pain.
This review is NOT for the urgent call and NOT about their doctors. The doctors I have seen, especially Dr. Abraham, have all been wonderful. My hip replacement surgery with Dr. Abraham was amazingly successful. My issue with OrthoNY is their scheduling department for appointments. It is a complete joke. On average, when arriving for an appointment, I have waited 30-70 minutes before being called in to see the Dr. Then you wait another 15-30 minutes in the examination room. Today, 4/2/2021, I had a 9am appointment which was scheduled over a year ago, and specifically to get the first appointment of the day. This, in their brand new facility in Clifton Park. Unfortunately, they havent improved any of their scheduling problems. They only had 2 receptionist handling arrivals, long lines. I sat until 9:50 and finally asked when do they expect Dr. Abraham will see me. I was informed there were still people in front of me. Again, I dont blame the doctors. OrthnoNY management folks who are responsible for scheduling need to get their act together.
Took my husband for surgery to remove a mass from inside his hand. I was in awe at how clean and bright this place was compared to the local emergency rooms. The place was immaculate and all of the staff where kind, caring, sweet and professional. Arrival to discharge was under 4 hours. Just left so don’t yet know the full outcome of surgery for a couple days.
Literally the worst experience, from phone, to making an appointment, down to the doctor. If you have expectations of being seen in a timely manner and treated properly, don’t even bother calling here. 27 minutes on hold, to make an appointment and couldn’t secure anything with any doctor at any convenient time. At the first appointment, we waited over an hour in the waiting room.... then 20 minutes in dr room. Doctor came in for a total of 3 minutes. Wasn’t pleasant to deal with. Attempted to make a follow up appointment to get clearance, completely impossible. We’ll be looking for another orthopedist. So discouraging!
I don’t understand the negative reviews because I had a great experience. I unfortunately fractured and then displaced my ankle while in RI and the ER there took X-rays and put a splint on me. They said I’d likely need surgery and could have it done there as I have a second home with my SO there but I chose to come home to NY for the remainder of my care. I went to the OrthoNY urgent care which was pretty busy but they still got me in fairly quickly and handled things as safely as possibly regarding Covid. I was then x-rayed and seen by Dr. Alfandre within a short period of time. He took a good look at my X-rays and ankle and also determined I’d need surgery. He explained he couldn’t do it right away because of the swelling but that he’d like to have it done ASAP. He was extremely nice and professional and made me feel confident in having surgery by him. They re-splinted me and scheduled me for surgery the following week as soon as the swelling went down and it was possible to do properly. Dr. Alfandre and his team handled my surgery so well. I was nervous because it was my first surgery but they made me feel calm and safe in their hands. My aftercare has been with Justina Mueller, the PA, and she is awesome. She’s so nice and explains everything so I can understand it as I have no experience in the medical field. Each staff member has made what would otherwise be a very miserable, painful experience as smooth and painless as possible. I now have my cast off and am on the mend and healing very well thanks to them. I couldn’t be more grateful.
This review is specifically for the urgent care. They were AMAZING and I cannot brag about them enough. My poor little one fractured her leg so we brought her in to be checked out. They got her right in, didnt even wait a full 5 minutes. I made it very clear that other than my daughters pediatrician, who is a very private small practice, shes never been to a big medical facility and was obviously a bit nervous. The nurses came right in and tended to her in a very friendly and caring manner. The xray tech was very gentle and patient despite my girl being terrified. The gentleman who applied her cast was funny and made the experience a positive one. We were in and out in an hour. I will absolutely recommend these guys.
If i could give 0 stars i would have. the services are so bad and the wait between them is long ... I went there in February they told me that I have to take an XRAY that they will call me, they only do 1 month more late. after the XRAY the technician told me that my doctor will receive my results in 3-4 days and then he will call me so that I can talk to him. again I waited 5 weeks. be seeing no sign I call their office and all they have was to apologize and want to make me believe that it is the secretary of the other doctor who did not send my results then give me an appointment. technically it took me over two months to see a doctor.
I went here due to my lower back pain. My primary care said ortho will order an MRI. I seen the worst doctor ever. He did not order anything told me MRI machines can only take 20 patients a day and half the MRI machines are understaff. Then pulled up an Xray from February mind you i just got an Xray done 2 weeks ago. Then told me my insurance company (MVP) will not cover an MRI for Sciatica. Which how do you diagnose me with something if you have no physical evidence of whats wrong. So pretty much referred me to PT. Not even knowing what is the problem. So after leaving the office i called my insurance company and they stated an MRI is covered i just need a doctors order. So hoping i can have primary just do it. I am a nurse so i am not drug seeking i just want answers for my PAIN!! This place is a JOKE!!!! STAY AWAY!!!
Ill start off by saying the urgent care part was great, efficient, and used good COVID protocols and cleaning from what I experienced. Now the follow up care in the main part of the building was horrendous!!! They pretend to have COVID policys and take temps at the entrance to the building but that is it! There are no floor distance markings, so people are just standing super close waiting in lines to check in or out and to figure out what area they need to be in. That is due to overcrowding! There were so many people waiting for appointments! They just kept stacking people in!! There is no proper spacing in the tiny waiting rooms that they pack in or hallways. At best they do have every other seat blocked off with a piece of paper. Since the seats themselves have no spacing, that puts you within 2 ft of the next person. Since they do not enforce mask policy, that is super great! But its ok since you can easily wait 30 min to an hour, inside, without proper spacing, the A/C unit blasting while sitting right next to mask-less people! The staff do not have to wear masks either. A few only had on face shields while walking around, interacting and taking care of people. That was even more amazing was when I watched one put her hand right under the face shield to cough directly into her hand, and then proceed to touch everything like computers and door knobs with out washing or at the very least using hand sanitizer!!! This is the most disgusting, unsanitary Dr.s office I have ever been to. The whole time I was there I also never saw anyone clean anything except for one computer! I will not be back. Went home, took a shower and debated burning my clothes I was wearing. I hope maybe that someone for Ortho NY will see this and maybe try and improve their policys to better protect their staff and their patients.
Wow. Talk about the most useless visit of my entire life.$424 for a doctor (mr Pavel Voronko) who was totally rude and barely spent any moments understanding my issue or reviewing my case. I came in with elbow issues that happened only when doing specific movements, he racked me up for xrays and then sent me home with an rx for extra strength ibprofin. No rehab or rehabilitation exercises, explanation for how the injury can occur and how to mitigate it. Useless. On top of that, this happened in 2018 and ive been having issues with the billing department for 3 years while they try to process the whole useless visit.Cannot recommend enough to steer clear of this doctor. Useless.
I was really happy with my experience at Ortho NY! I saw PA Cody and he was very professional and really did his best to help me. I was always seen in a timely manner and left with confidence.I am giving this a 4 start because unfortunately, the Urgent Care at Ortho NY is just a 1 star. Their staff is horrific. Left a very bad impression on me but I heard great things about Cody Meisner, PA, so I saw him for a follow up.I advise not going to their urgent care, but going to their main office instead.
I hadn’t read any reviews prior to my visit. I was sent here because I was in so much pain and my GP didn’t have an appointment available. Because it’s Urgent Care I expected a long wait. I stood waiting to speak to the receptionist for about 10 minutes. When it was my turn she was very friendly and empathetic, it put me at ease right away. I filled out the necessary paperwork and before I completed it I was called in. The nurse was friendly and had an air of concern. I had to have X-rays and the tech was also friendly and laughed when I made a joke about the paper shorts. A few minutes later a P.A. Named Eileen came in and worked her magic. There was nothing about this visit or the care that I received that could be perceived as negative. When you go to an urgent care office you should be prepared for a wait. It’s disappointing to read patients say they were not seen quick enough. To that I say “you know where you’re going so be prepared”. Let’s be real people, this isn’t fast food. Chill.
Had Dr. BOLER he is the best he did both my wrists for carpal tunnel and one hand for trigger finger no pain at all even day they were done would go to him again very very good went to Clifton Park for one and ellis for the other due to covid restrictions would take Clifton Park anytime in and out was great. Wish I had done the surgery long ago and you cant even see the scars was done in March and April. Thank you so much Dr Boler
Fell and dislocated my shoulder shoveling snow in Jan 2021. Urgent Car-OrthoNY checked me in and I was immediately seen by the staff and Megan Killeen PA who ordered x-rays to diagnose the problem. Megan called Dr Suslak who put my shoulder back in place. I was extremely happy with the speed, quality of care and professionalism which I received during my visit by all the staff. All my questions and concerns were answered and I never felt rushed while I was there. I would recommend Megan PA and Dr Suslak from my experience.
I can’t believe with all the choices in healthcare that there are doctors that still think their time is priceless and the patient’s time is worthless. I had an appointment scheduled for Dr. Abraham today at 11:00am. I waited around until about 11:30 and after speaking with another “waiter” who had an appointment for 10:40 I went to the receptionist. Her response was, didn’t they tell you when they made the appointment Dr. Abraham runs behind schedule. I immediately said “cancel my appointment , Dr. Abraham may be important, but he’s not that important” and promptly left. This doctor could be a very good doctor but this is one patient that will never see him.
These are my people! Friendly, kind and so smart. They are amazing with my 2 teens with special needs and have managed everything from a sprained finger to broken bones. Follow up scheduling is prompt and excellent. They care about pain management and take time to listen. It’s urgent care. Come prepared to wait patiently. They will get to you and get you patched up much faster and better than the er who is only going to send you to Ortho anyway.
Arrived at 10:10 for a 10:20 am appointment. 11:44 and still waiting. Would leave but I live an hour away and would only have to come back another day. Speaki g to other patients in waiti g room and have been told this is standard. Not very happy. Would give less than one star if I could.
Even though Im sure no one there will read this or even care, but Im going to anyway in hopes of deterring people from going there. The two doctors I worked with. Great. The staff at the counters to check you in on both the first floor and second floor in the pain management part are rude, and unbelievably incompetent. Go to 3 different pods to be told incorrect info each time. Finally make my way upstairs to the correct place. Upon leaving, I check out and have my scripts sent out to be filled. The genius that checked me out decided to change my pharmacy without telling me, so needless to say, Im without my script. So heres my warning. If you can. Go somewhere else. Its not worth the headache of dealing with them.
My husband went for severe knee pain and a visual knot on the side of his knee, first they made him pay for the visit up front second they did and X-ray and saw nothing so they came back in and looked at his knee and said hmmm came back in and told him he needed an mri and an X-ray of his eyes? So for $100 he paid for two scripts one for the mri , one for the X-ray,no answers and still in excruciating pain. So sad that medical care is all about the money and not the patients well being, very disappointed!
I had an injury late last year. Went to another local Orthopedic group as OrthoNYs Urgent care was closed at the time. I was less than impressed with the provider. I called OrthyNY first thing on Monday morning to get an appointment with Dr. Flik. I was able to get in the next day. Dr. Flik was very professional and timely and the staff were great. Within minutes he had screened me for the injury and was working on getting insurance approval for an MRI. That came about 20 minutes later and the MRI was scheduled the next day. I have seen various other providers over the years at OrthoNY and have always had a positive experience. I would recommend (and have recommended) this group to anyone needing orthopedic care.
I have been struggling with back pain for the last 1-1/2 years. This guy has been my doctor. My last visit he accused me of being on drugs my last visit. I told him he was 100% wrong and to give me a drug test on the spot. He would not. After leaving my last appointment he canceled my treatments with him. As well as put in his doctor notes that i was on drugs and needed to seek professional help.... Which is absurd because i do not do any drugs what so ever. I have a new born daughter and i am up late with her teething. So i was trying to return to work but my work seen his doctors notes and said that i need to be evaluated by a drug counselor. So it was mandatory that i went asap. So i went and had a drug test asap. The test was negative. As well as they DID NOT recommend any further appointments or treatments... This caused me ALOT off embarrassment and time lost of work to provide for my family. So for the new patients that chooses to see this man please choose a different doctor at this firm. I would recommend going to the bone and joint center. They are a lot more professional. This guy judges people and characterizes them. If you were going to see someone here is would choose doctor Suslac. This guy is a joke.
Staff doesnt seem to know what theyre doing. The doctors are always overbooked, if you have an appointment you might as well show up an hour late because thats when youll actually be seen. Once you are seen, the doctors rush you out of the building as quickly as possible, giving little information, not seeming to care whether patients recover. Patients are nothing but dollar signs to these people.
First time at the Ortho urgent care, it was quiet (around 1:15PM), I had (accidentally) injured my back on Sunday and it was getting worse, so when I called my doctors office they told me I would be better off going here and recommended this urgent care. I saw Megan (the PA) and she was great! Examined me, helped identify the source of pain through a series of stretching and bending, said my X-rays looked good (although she did not go over them with me) and it was determined my injury was muscular. My Rx was called in to the wrong place (Price Chopper vs. CVS) and I have made 2 round trips now (over an hour) to try to obtain my Rx, so this is frustrating. I still dont have the Rx and have called twice now (yesterday and today) to get this corrected. Initial care is great--trying to get the Rx is seemingly more challenging than it should be.
Traveled an hour to get to the office in Albany where they removed my cast (that I got a blood clot in) and put me in a boot. Justina, my PA, is wonderful, but unfortunately, she does not set the bar at Ortho NY. I was rushed through being given a boot in the waiting room, I had a bit of pain trying to set my foot in the boot, so the tech puts it on me as loosely as possible and walks away. I come home with a boot that nobody taught me to use, that is too big, with a week old fracture that is not immobilized in anyway. It slips down my leg and causes unbearable pain every time I try to get to the bathroom, I cannot even use my walker.I’ll be making my second hour long trip to Albany tomorrow to get this boot fixed, and I am truly disappointed that I have to rely on these people to ensure I don’t need surgery.
I have had great experiences with both orthony urgent care and all the drs I’ve dealt with in the practice. 6 yrs ago I had major back surgery, dr Montgomery did the surgery and I came out of it fantastically. 2 yrs ago I had knee replacement on both of my knees which dr Fletcher did and once again, I recovered fantastically. I have no problem with any of the 3 surgeries. At the time I had both my knee surgeries, I had 4 friends that also had knee surgery, but they all had it done at another ortho place and 3 out of the 4 had to go back in for surgery because the 3 had infections in the knees they had done. They have all been very pleasant with me no matter who they were. You have to remember? You don’t know who they dealt with prior to you, so they may have had gotten a hard time from a few patients so no matter what, that may set their modes, All you have to do is talk to them and they will be nice back. Not everyone always has a good day This is just my opinion. I’ve referred orthony to many many people and they’ve all been happy with the results they’ve gotten from the drs.
I went to the ortho urgent care here. I can’t stand the Bone and Joint Center for many reasons so I figured if this went well, maybe I could go to this place regularly. In a word, I would describe the experience as “brusque.” From reception to the X-ray tech to the PA, it was extremely fast(I guess if you look at it positively, you could say “efficient.”I *was* in and out in 15 minutes flat.) I barely had time to answer 2 questions on the paperwork before I was hustled to the next room. I was told my X-rays looked fairly good, but they weren’t reviewed with me. I felt the interactions were just rapid-fire and flat, not a hint of bedside manner or customer service anywhere. I’m a healthcare professional myself and don’t expect luxury hotel treatment but wow. The diagnostics and exam were fine, recommendations were run through extremely quickly with no handout or anything. I left feeling...rushed through a very impersonal machine.
My experience was not bad. The tech was nice but didnt seem like she cared to be there or wanted to be doing her job. The desk people were awesome. (Beyond Awesome) I register patients for a living and the waiting room was packed out the door. They were very very quick but also personable. However i had handed then my license and they still got my first name incorrect.I do wish however that the cost of my medical equiptment had been disclosed. I had to ask how much it was and to that the snotty tech asked me,...you got insurance? I said, yes, I do. She asked, well what kind?.( I told her) she replied, Oh, probably like $30.00. I asked, How much is this boot without insurance? She replied, $340.00. If you ask me this should be a part of bedside manor/healthcare services. Properly disclosing the cost of medical equiptment before the put it on you. I will return in 3 weeks and Im Hoping to have a better experience.
Terrible Customer Service. Every time I send a client to that facility they complain that they are scheduled for an 8AM appointment and instead are seen at 8:45 - 9:00 AM because the therapist needs to have her breakfast and coffee. In addition they are always screaming and being rough with the patients. Lastly when reaching out to their office via phone, to discuss the issues, they stated that they couldnt speak with you until they speak with their CEO. I will make sure to never send a client to that facility ever again. I have never dealt with a physical therapy office that has the worst customer service until I have dealt with OrthoNY.
Check in/ check out process is chaotic - needs better organization. The doctor I saw for ongoing knee issues flexed my knee for less than 15 secs, then told me I had Jumpers Knee and you can Google it and see how to treat it. Boom - done in 5 mins. They took x-rays but dont recall whether I was told they were reviewed as part of this. Thanks for the lack of care...
I have gone to the Schenectady office three time .. this was my last time because of how I was treated . the doctor was rushed he didnt care to hear my questions just rush me out the door .. HELL NO I WONT LET THEM DO SURGERY ON ME . the office was dirty the corners have built up dirt in them .. spider webs as well..
Ive been in to see Dr. Bowman multiple times, and Im always amazes at his depth of knowledge and skill. He always knows what to do to help me while avoiding surgery every time. Recently, I had an issue with a finger that required Dr. Bowman to put a shot of Cortizone in a very specific place in my hand, and he nailed it (maybe nail is the wrong metaphor), he hit the target perfectly. Two days later, Im pain free and have full range of motion back. Dr. Bowman is the BEST!
I read all these negative posts about OrthoNY and they probably did too and stepped up their game. Not only was there a 2 hour delay. Because of their new system which probably didnt help any but I never felt so cared for. I had at least 4 different people help me and make sure I wasnt in pain. It made it that much easier to be there. I figured if I can wait in line for 2 hours in a line at an amusement park I can wait here to have my knee looked at that was in excruciating pain. They put me in a wheelchair and gave me ice. I will always go back to them. Hopefully I dont have too...lol
Had an x ray to find out if my toe was broken.. it was. They gave me a boot and said theyd call an antiinflammatory in, which they did, but I could not get it because of insurance issues the pharmacy did nothing to correct. Ive sat for 2 days with NOTHING. Whole foot is swollen and black and blue. Im a diabetic. Something for pain would have been nice, it didnt have to be opiods, but SOMETHING. I canceled my appt and am not going back for the second x ray. Since they did nothing, Ill know its healed when it stops hurting.
So many people here are complaining about the wait or customer service. When I go to an urgent care, my only concern is the medical treatment I receive. I expect a wait when Im going to a walk-in clinic. Anywhere you go youre bound to find someone who has poor customer service skills. I dont know about you, but I just want to feel better.
Awful. Just awful. Spent more time in waiting room than with the actual doctor. Doctor Kavanaugh was dismissive and uninterested. He was more interested in getting me out of there as quickly as possible. Changing providers as we speak but not only they wont mail the release forms to you, there is a charge for the notes of my visit. No X rays done. They are charging for the notes, which I doubt will be any.
Just wanted to say after reading these reviews in addition to Dr. Whalens reviews elsewhere I dodged a bullet when referred to him by Dr. Buttaci. Dr. Tang in Latham could have been entirely avoided as well; he was rude, sexist, and refused to give me the botox injections Dr. Buttaci recommended and I lost a days pay. Today I have new symptoms which sent me home from work in tears and all I have are flexeril and Motrin. I have not found a dr I completely trust to do all they can for me while I am on workers comp here or anywhere else, and this is still better than Bone and Joint. Sad. I have been suffering since January and no relief is in sight. Pain management under the care of this practice is a joke and my dr is always late and in a rush to get out.
Dr Lee Kaback was terrific from the first meeting when he informed me my rotator was torn to shreds. He couldn’t promise me it could be fixed.Well, Dr K. and his exceptional team did what all the kings horses and all the kings men couldn’t do.They put me rite back together again with a shoulder that feels and works like new.I could not imagine a better experience. You can trust this guy, he knows shoulders.
If I could give 0 stars I would. I saw two doctors here for horrible knee pain, it would get dislocated, give out suddenly while walking and pop painful if I turned directions or stood up. The first doctor refused to do an xray or mri and just told me to do 8 weeks PT because my insurence wont cover scans before PT. I of course after talking to my insurence company(empire plan) found that was total BS I called and demanded the scans. Went back to have the mri readings explained, all he said at first was my patella track seemed weaker...I pushed a bit and he finally, After about 15 minutes mind you, Told me I also had a tear in my meniscus, but it wasnt too big so he didnt think it was worth mentioning...after a year anad the pain getting way worse I went to the bone and joint center for a third opinion and the tear was bad, I had bone spurs and a weak tendon...they got me in for surgery right away because of how bad it was and how much damage it was causing my other knee for compensating my walking from the pain. Never again will I go to orthony for anything!
Ortho NY to me is the epitome of the decline of healthcare. The office is like an assembly line and to them youre just another paycheck. I saw Dr. Whalen in 2013 and he did a second fusion on my low back after the first I had done elsewhere failed. I was surprised that they got approval from Comp as quickly as they did but then I found out it was being billed to Medicare so I had to tell them it was Workmans Comp. (I think they billed it correctly after I informed them of the mistake.) I also informed them and reminded them before and after the surgery I wanted the old hardware but I never got it. First Dr. Whalen told me I wasnt allowed to get it but after informing him of others who got theirs I was given excuse after excuse for why I couldnt get my old hardware. After my surgery while Im recovering in my hospital room I get yelled at by a nurse who doesnt introduce or identify herself for being out of bed and not wearing a hospital gown. I told her I was comfortable in my cotton shorts and sitting up but apparently my comfort does not count. She left and called Dr. Whalen who in turn called me in my room and told me to stop giving the nurse a hard time. When she returned I told her to get out and I requested a new nurse from the nurse manager. (I found out the next day other patients had problems with her too.) I dont even recall Dr. Whalen ever seeing me in the hospital after surgery only his assistant. After several months my last visit with him he told me that I was structurally sound but when I told him I was still in pain and that the whole reason for me having the second surgery was to eliminate the pain his answer was surgery doesnt always take away the pain. I guess he thought he did his job and thats that. I still live in pain and continue to have problems but I will never go back to Ortho NY or recommend this practice or Dr. Whalen to anyone!
I’ve never been so insulted in my life until I came to this establishment. ADAM SUSLAK , which is a good name for him because he definitely LACKS the integrity of a licensed doctor said to my face he didn’t want to “go over another doctors work “ and he didn’t feel like “dealing with my arm because it’s been broken too long” after I’ve been going to the bone and joint center for a broken humerus that they are telling me will heal in 6-8 weeks but it’s been broken since March 27,2019 until this current day. I am a young 21 year woman and Im not a smoker, so what’s the issue? I came to ortho ny hoping they would have better results and different healing techniques but they didn’t want to “deal with me “. These are the only two Places in Albany that help with this stuff and they both have not shown any interest in healing this patient.
This place is terrible.Ive been going there forever.First they told me I needed surgery and my discs were slipped and my back needed to beinfused once they found out I was on Suboxone everything was better healed. Ok well why are my legs numb and I cant clean my house for more then ten min without having to sit down not fair.I just cant believe they use ur past against thats what u get for being honest.
This place is very cold. the phone system is attached to their myriad other locations and is an exercise in patience and recordings. i have never been seen on the time of my appointment, so be prepared to wait a while before youre quickly looked over and rushed out the doorif you need surgery, this is definitely the place to go, but you will never see that dr again
Worst customer service of any doctors office Ive visited. Dont go here and expect specific service for your pain or discomfort. They make you wait to get in and rush you out the second you see the doctor. The only thing they care about is performing as many x-rays and appointments as they can to increase their billings. Highly un-recommended.
I have been to most all of the Dr.s in this practice as well as some other people I know personally. Only a few good dr.s who are doing their work properly. First if you are looking for an Orthopedic or Spinal surgeon I know of two. If you are already seeing Dr. Whalen then you need to seek a second opinion asap from a competent Dr. such as Dr. Montgomery. .Do not go to Dr. Butacci for pain management. He might be able to give you a shot in spine but he is not a very good Dr. in my opinion. Also Dr. Whalen misdiagnosed me and Dr. Butacci gave me a spinal shot which should not have been done without more testing. I have seen most of the dr.s in this practice and only a few who really take time to listen to you. Dr. Quade or Dr. Montgomery are recommended orthopedic/spine surgeons who care and listen to their patients. Dr. Montgomery is your surgeon if you need spinal surgery. He also cares and listens to you and does testing that Whalen doesnt want to take the time to do, because of his lack of empathy and always hurry to get to his next patient.. He also doesnt care about you or your level of pain He is always in a mad rush as well as Dr. Buttacci...They are quick to worry about themselves getting sued and will even share that info.with you. If you need pain meds go to the ER or a family medical practice somewhere because none of these Doctors prescribe pain meds until after surgery.. Use Dr. Quade for knee, shoulder, Hip, joints, etc surgery.. Use Dr.Montgomery for spinal fusions or disk replacement surgery.First step. Go to ER. for pain. Second go to either Dr. Quade or Dr. Montgomery for MRIs and X-rays only then to a good dr. that can help you with your pain if you need it while you treat with the orthopedics..Dont use their recommendation to see Buttacci, He is completely unprofessional. He cant make his own decisions. He gets his info. from little man Whalen. He is quite immature and shows no compassion for his patients. You will be in his office a whole 59 sec. if that.. Go to a women family medical group somewhere. They are more caring and will listen and if you need pain management while treating with the ortho facility you will be on the right track. My opinion, if you let Dr. Whalen operate on you, then you have not done your homework. If he cant diagnose you correctly He certainly cant fix you. As the saying goes - You cant fix stupid.. Two years for me and still not fixed because of little man Whalen. He misdiagnosed my friend also. If you have him now, run forrest run! Call Dr. Quade, Dr. Montgomery. or Dr. Herzog in Saratoga. if you need surgery. Best Wishes on your Journey. I hope its not one through hell like mine.
Dr. Aronowitz mended my rotator cuff tear. That was two months ago and the recovery is normalI was prescribed good pain medication before the surgery and it did the job nicely in the first week after..I havent had much time with Aronowitz but his PA, Melissa, is good.My P.T. recommended Aronowitz, and I have to concur.
I dont think my doctor cared about me at all. he left the door open when i was talking about my medical issues, always seemed to be in a rush and barely listened to what i had to say, did not solve the issue i went to see him for AT ALL, and made me feel like i was small and weak for experiencing the pain i was in.
I have taken a few of the people that I assist in their homes to this location as well as a few family members that have attended this group however everyone I know has had a very poor experience their interpersonal skills are nothing to be desired and the way the receptionist look at you and treat you as a person is horrendous even the doctors have no bedside manner whatsoever I have never seen a doctors office be so insulet rude and disrespectful to their clients essentially the people who make their jobs available for them the people that they take an oath to take care of protect and look after and maintain their well-being and then they give them a mental and emotional beating when they come to their office I would never recommend this group to anyone!!!!!!
I broke my wrist almost 4 weeks ago went to Schenectady first time then went to Malta office seen dr farreria the 2 nd time I went he took my cast off gave me a brace said he was healing good so next day went back to Schenectady office the dr put my cast back on for 2 more weeks he said it wasnt healing right it wasnt straight out ask if I need surgery he I shouldnt but not going have all my mobility back cause didnt heal right so going to another dr would never go back ro Malta office again
From sitting on hold just waiting to speak to a operator for over 30 minutes,or having to leave messages for anyone you need to speak to and no return calls in any time frame anyone with a normal life can respond to. These are the worst most angry rude people Ive ever had the misfortune to deal with
Went to Urgent Care in a sleet storm and they were closed The answering service couldnt tell me if they had closed due to weather, so we drove 10 miles to find it closed. It would have been nice if they had notified the answering service that they closed early to save us from a treacherous drive for nothing!
First timer needed help with my leg putting pressure on left leg while lying down on it hurt came here staff was very friendly and pleasant and the doctor knew exactly what it was that was causing the problem gave me a shot it got better I suffer from a rare sickness and she knew, all about it thats a plus I would recommend my family and friends
Courtney Halsdorf, thank you for your help while Dr.OConner was away and the Dr. who was to perform a nuropathy test was a ...... decided that I should travel to Boston to get it done, oh he did his residence under him who I had to see to have my 26th op done because N.Y. wont do them. I had to go on social services because of all the expences.Since just a Dr. who feels comfortable just giving blocking shots, like most pain Drs which most N.Y. Drs do. This Dr. didnt put a hand on me. wonder if he will bill medicare. This is pieces of what went down but I did want to thank you for you caring and effort and as for the other DR. he put it all on hie ethics which he might practice spelling !!!!!

2022-04-02I just want to thank Dr. Lee Kaback andPavel Voronko ,RPA-C for my shoulder surgeries.Dr. Kaback went above and beyond to make sure his patients are well taken care of.All of the employees at OrthoNY, Albany have been so wonderful to me. They are all so professional and friendly. In honor of RPA-C Voronko and Dr. Kaback who did the most amazing job of fixing my shoulders.I have donated money monthly to provide food to the Ukrainian people who are fighting for their freedom.Valerie Nesenoff

2022-01-11I was so happy with the care I received tonight at OrthoNY Urgent Care. Even though it was crowded, things moved along at a good pace and when I was called to the room, my issue was very thoroughly handled. Everyone was very friendly and competent. A visit like the one tonight restores a persons faith in our health care system! Special thanks to Chelsea!

2022-07-11I was a little nervous with the amount of people in the waiting room, but pleasantly surprised with how quickly things went. We only spent about 25/30 mins from check in to being seen and when we were in a room things went so quickly! Very impressed! Hopefully we don’t need to come here again, but in the event that we might have a broken bone this would be my first choice. Very nice staff and office.

2022-06-12Dr. Donovan refused to address me the patient. I was accompanied by an aide from a rehab facility. Dr.Donavan was fixed on the aide it wasnt like I was there.i never got to see the x rays. Dr.Donovan must have learned his decorum from Dr.Aronowitz...if you are young and pretty you get attention

2022-04-26Had a 2:10 appointment. Have to work because of the length of appointments. 15 people came in after me then left after me never saw my doctor also had to return to work plus travel time. If you dont make your appointment they charge you $50.00 but if you wait 1hr after your appointment no compassion for your time

2021-12-31Complete waste of time going here. Will never use again. Was seen not by. Physician, but a physician’s assistant. She did not give me a diagnosis, she did not recommend at home follow up care, probably couldn’t order a prescription for pain, BUT she did refer me to see an orthopedic surgeon, at OrthoNY, and also referred me for physical therapy at OrthoNY. I think I have a muscle sprain/ strain but still don’t have a clue after a visit here. Going to contact The department of health about the horrible care received as well as my insurance company, as the did nothing for me. Left there still in a lot of pain , no diagnosis, and a referral for services I dontvknow if I need.
