Jeff Rich is incredibly knowledgeable, warm, and funny. I had been to about 3 people before him who all seem confounded as to how to help me with my chronic foot issues. Jeff diagnosed it right away and made me orthotics that are super comfortable and are helping my foot so much!
Had a mysterious bout of arthritis in one foot last summer aggravated by walking and cycling. Jeff made some custom orthotics and good recommendations on walking sneakers, and the problem is almost 100% gone.

Working with Jeff Rich at US Orthotic was a great experience. Jeff came highly recommended by a physical therapist at the Hospital for Special Surgery. I went to Jeff Rich at US Orthotic Center in search of custom orthotics that could help support the healing of a sesamoid injury in my foot. Dr. Rich came as personal referral from friends living on the Upper East, I feel that I found a secret jewel in Dr. Rich. The inserts are amazing. I can already feel that my posture is more balanced and engaged, rather than sitting back on my heels. I run about 5/10 miles per day. I am already regretting taking my molds home as Im ready to order another pair of inserts for my causal shoes too! THANK YOU.
Dr. Jeffrey Rich is simply amazing - knowledgeable, generous with his time, exceptionally thorough, and an absolute genius in creating the perfect orthotic. I first went to him 5 years ago, and he was the first doctor of many I have been to who took the time to get every measurement and angle of my feet and was able to solve the issues and pain I was experiencing while improving my mobility and gait. I have had flat feet all my life and have needed custom-made insoles for walking. I have been to a few places over the years, but US Orthotics tops all. They not only can make great insoles, but can make adjustments to them, which other places cannot usually do. Jeff is very passionate about what he does and has a long history in sports. I have been coming here now for over 3 years and would definitely recommend it.
I am very happy with my experience with Jeff. I had a pair of orthotics made a few months back at the recommendation of my Orthopedic. Jeff took the time to explain what my issues were and how he would address them with orthotics. The orthotics were ready when promised and he made a few adjustments to them based on my wearing habits. The fit and comfort of the orthotics has given me back the ability to walk without pain. As a competitive tennis player, I suffered with plantar fasciitis for many years, often taking steroid injections each season. After using the orthotics provided by Jeff Rich for a couple of months the pain is gone without any medications. I wear the orthotics in dress and tennis shoes. Really amazing!

Jeff was great to work with. He consistently worked on adjustments to my orthotics, as I was having multiple issues with my feet. He subsequently suggested I return to the doctor as my issue may be more involved. As it turned out I needed minor surgery. Post surgery I wear my orthotics daily, and I am feeling much better. I cant say enough good things about Jeff. I was referred to him a number of years ago by a Foot & Ankle specialist at NYU. He sends all of his patients to Jeff. I hadnt had orthotics that were made like this before. But, I can tell you, I have become a loyal customer because they have really helped with my foot and hip issues. They are custom made for your feet and Jeff really works with you to adjust them for your issues. He is such a wonderful person to deal with on top of being amazing at his craft!
Jeff is an expert in the best sense of the term - and perfectly suited to fitting orthotics. Fitting orthotics definitely is not an easy task - someone has to figure out what is going on inside your shoes, without really being able to see how your feet fit into the space (someday technology will change that). Jeff is a terrific listener and he has the 10,000 hours of experience - meaning that over many years he has seen and addressed virtually every type of foot condition. So once my foot issue was described to him, he knew exactly what needed to be done. It took a couple of adjustments, but the final result was fantastic. I am a very satisfied customer.
Jeff is awesome. Hes a bit quirky but super passionate about his work and takes pride in getting the orthotics to ultimately work. Id been to numerous podiatrists and had at least 5 pairs of custom orthotics made before going to jeff, so had a good idea of what i was looking for - and Jeff was able to make the best possible orthotics for my needs. All of the others had compromises or flat it didnt work for me. The turnaround time on changes to it is really what makes it work, Ive gone back 4 times to get adjustments to get it perfectly integrated to my running shoes - he does them immediately, and when my shoes changed, went back to get it to fit to a narrower pair. Theyre a bit pricey, but recommend him to anyone and Ive gone back to get orthotics for casual shoes and will be getting others.
Jeff has been working wonders for my feet for over 15 years. I first came in to him with significant pain in a couple of my toes and the ball of those toes -- especially when I jogged. The minute I put on the orthotics he made me, the pain disappeared and hasnt returned. He willingly adjusted the orthotics over the years and just made me new ones which he has patiently adjusted for me to create the perfect feel for me. I cant recommend him more highly

US Orthotic Center is conveniently located in midtown Manhattan, just a few blocks from my office. The office staff is friendly and Jeff is one of the best in his profession. I had pain with my shin a couple of years ago and Jeff was able to quickly diagnose the root cause and prescribe the solution. The pain has gone away and I am able to run again. Im looking forward to getting new ski boots custom fitted with orthotics from Jeff. I cant wait.I strongly recommend Jeff and US Orthotic Center.
US Orthotic Center is a great place to go to help get ones feet back in shape. Jeff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable about his craft. Hes patient and really works with you to get the orthotics fitting properly. I highly recommend Jeff if you have ailing feet or ankle issues. And, if youre lucky (or not), he may even have a joke or two for you. Overall, a great experience.

Ive been a patient of Jeffrey Rich for over 10 years now, and I can honestly say that hes saved my active life. I originally came to him after a torn plantar fascia. Though my surgeon recommended surgery, Jeffrey was able to get me properly fitted into my shoes for the first time ever and I was able to rehab my foot with PT. Since then Ive since run several marathons, and have gone on many multi-day hikes. I have Jeffreys orthotics in all of my shoes and couldnt be happier. Jeffrey is full of energy and freely dispenses advice on anything that may help alleviate pain. Highly recommended. US Orthotic Center does not accept insurance, so save up those flex $$$ and give them a call.
Jeff Rich created orthotics that made a major different in my walking comfort--and quality of life. The orthotics stabilized my feet so that I am able to walk long distances pain-free. Jeff and the Orthotics he makes are outstanding. The benefits from them have exceeded my expectations and I will never choose to go back to a different orthotic/ no orthotic. Yes, they are more money than you could find elsewhere, but its absolutely worth the dough.I suffered from a chronic posterior tibial tendonitis that resulted from marathon training. Two years later the issue had not resolved itself despite trying other custom orthotics from a podiatrist, months of PT, and of course, the aircast. One orthopedic doc told me to find a different hobby. I could walk around okay but not return to running. Fortunately I gave Custom Orthotics a try, mostly due to the positive reviews.After adjusting to the orthotics I now can go run loops around the park pain free. Usually I go through my day without thinking about my foot anymore. I even ordered another pair for my rollerblades/ some sport boots which have been excellent as well.Thanks Jeff!
Jeff has been helping me for the last six months. His knowledge and patience is incredible. I workout daily and the orthotics have really helped relieve my foot pain. Hi:I was referred to Jeff and US Orthotic by my foot Specialist. I was a bit hesitant at first since for my whole life I never had any foot issues. But as you age things change and I was having ankle and foot pain from all the walking and exercise that I did. Slowly the pain and discomfort has been reduced by using the Orthotics that were produced by Jeff. I still have to cut back on the walking/exercise since my feet are now getting Used to the Orthotics. Hopefully in the future I will be back to normal. I have known Jeff for a long time thru working with him in the ski industry, I have personally recommended Jeff to many people, So when I needed orthotics for my golf and work shoes there was only 1 person I was going to trust. My first 2 sets of orthotics kept me out of surgery and in work, skiing, hiking--and that was over 10 years ago! Jeff has a way with making these inserts and they are very durable. Excellent staff, good service and value. Just got some new ones and I feel 20 years younger. Thanks Jeff!!
The orthotics that Jeff Rich made for me are fantastic!! I moved from Southern California to Manhattan and wasn’t really used to walking on concrete as much as I currently do. I developed plantar fasciitis in my right foot which made walking pain-free difficult. It was really depressing since I walk everywhere in NYC and am extremely active. While wearing the orthotics that Jeff made, I am able to walk all over Manhattan with no limitations. I now have Happy Feet! Thanks Jeff!
I have been a client/patient of the US Orthotic Center for 12 years. I have plantar fasciitis, hallux rigidus, and post tibial tendonitis. Jeff Richs orthotics and rockered sneakers with the graphite plate are the only ones that I can wear. Jeffs knowledge and experience are extensive. I would think very carefully about leaving New York because doing so would mean that I would not be able to draw upon Jeffs expertise. When anyone who asks me about orthotics or orthopedic shoes, I strongly recommend the US Orthotic Center and Jeff Rich.
Jeff Rich has been a amazing miracle worker!! His orthotics have been the ONLY ones that have relieved my pain due to a Liz Franc Fracture that I suffered after a car ran over my foot and I developed a neuroma. Jeff is patient, empathetic and is a wonderful listener who adapts the orthotic to any complaints I may have, because its so difficult to find a perfect fit for my specific needs. Since coming to US Orthotic Center, my life has been so much better and I can’t thank him enough. For years after the accident I couldnt walk without a cane, now I walk without a cane and I can walk for miles! I met with Jeff last week about an issue I was having with my feet in Ski Boots. He looked at my feet, gave me great advice and referred me to someone who would be able to fix my problem WITHOUT having me get an expensive custom orthotic - and he charged me nothing for this consultation. Its pretty clear from just walking into his office that you are in great hands; everything is very professional and clean. He has worked with lots of serious professional athletes of all kinds, and I felt he took my issues as seriously as he must treat theirs. Cant thank him enough for his expert help, and recommend him to anyone having foot pain!
I recently broke my big toe and had to wear a pair of vans sneakers that were not the most comfortable.A friend and patient of Dr. Jeff suggested I go and make an appointment to see what could be done.Great office, conveniently located. Dr Jeff was amazing with over thirty years of experience dealing with foot problems and the issues some people have, he took some casts and some measurements and created a one of a kind orthotic for me.Awesome. Jeff is fantastic. Im a weekend warrior and often have foot issues and Jeff has made several pairs of fantastic orthotics for a number of types of shoes. He has a good understanding of various types of injuries/conditions affecting the feet and how to deal with them through custom orthotics. Ive had orthotics from others, but he is far and away the best Ive had, and he does adjustments as needed when my conditions change. Cant beat that!

Cant say enough good things about Jeff and the US Orthotics Center. Not only does Jeff know his feet, he is also highly entertaining and gracious. A mere couple of weeks after getting my custom-made orthotics, my plantar-fascitis is on the wane. I played basketball on Sunday and woke up Monday morning without pain in my heel. Thank you, Jeff!....But what Jeff also diagnosed, and I had no idea that was a problem, was a pre-arthritic condition in my left big toe. Jeff helped me think through adjustments I needed to make in my various forms of exercise. Feet are important! And Jeff is a foot whisperer. Dont hesitate. Go see the man!
I have seen Jeff twice in the past year. My most recent visit was to adjust my orthotics (that he made a year ago) due to a recent increase in training for the NYC marathon. Jeff was patient and listened to my concerns. He adjusted my orthotic on the spot and offered advice on what I could do over the next 5 weeks to be in the best place possible. Jeff Rich knows his business !... 35 years had passed since my last Orthotics were made by Jeff for my Ski Boots and after a recent Hip replacement I was told by my surgeon to have my Orthotics adjusted . Jeff did more than adjust them, he fine tuned them like a high preformance race car. BTW, His product last too. 35 years of skiing with no boot pain. As good as day 1.
US Orthotic Center is THE best place to get custom Orthotics in the Tri-State area. I started getting mine here when I lived in NYC, over 15 yrs ago, and continued after I moved to NJ as I still worked in NYC and could swing by on a lunch hour. When I stopped working in NYC a few years back, I tried a couple places near me, but was severely disappointed, and frustrated that I wasted my money. In hindsight I should have known to stay with Jeff who is an expert! Im so happy I went back to US Orthotics!
After having an unsatisfactory experience in buying orthotics at another place, I recently went to the U.S. Orthotics Center which was recommended by a physiatrist at HSS. I was impressed by the way Jeff Rich evaluated my feet and explained the way he makes the orthotics. Besides his expertise, the best part is the orthotics and subsequent adjustments are made on the premises which is a plus factor. I’m happy with my new orthotics and the pain has been going down. Jeff Rich and his front desk staff are highly professional and pleasant to deal with. I highly recommend U. S. Orthotics Center.
I have worn orthotics from Jeffrey Rich for about 7 years now, since having been referred by my orthopedist. Construction, durability, and patient interface and support have been exceptional. Most importantly, my foot pain has been alleviated and I have been able to walk, hike, jog, and work out with proper support for my feet. Caveats: The orthotics are expensive and, at least in my case, required upsized shoe replacements to accommodate the inserts.
The US Orthotic Center has helped me tremendously. I was always in pain after any significant time spent walking, particularly on city streets. In Jeffs expert care, from first measurement, to molds created, to final fitting it has been a revelation of how important it can be to find the right person and place for a health concern. I no longer have any discomfort, let alone pain. The US Orthotic Center has been a wonderful health benefit in my life. I heartily recommend it.
Jeffrey Rich is the best! He’s made me two pairs of orthotics, most recently a couple of months ago. I went to see him today to ask him to adjust the orthotics so that they would fit into more than one pair of my shoes. He did it while I waited and I can now use them in three different pairs—and he didn’t even charge me! I recommend him highly.
The custom orthotics made by Jeff Rich at his US Orthotic Center have helped me more than I could have possibly hoped for. Carefully examining my feet and legs, watching me walk, and taking precision molds of my feet all helped him design custom orthotics for me that helped normalize my gait, reduce the pain I was having, and give me the support I needed in shoes and sneakers so that I didn’t have to wear my heavy hiking boots for support all the time anymore. The orthotics fit in almost all my shoes and sneakers, cradle my foot comfortably, and shift pressure away from the tender areas. His use of flexible carbon fiber in the soles of my sneakers make walking easier and put the spring back in my step. I was amazed at how much these orthotics helped me when I first got them, it was literally a life changing experience. Since then no shoes go on my feet without Jeff’s orthotics. Walking without Jeff’s orthotics would be like walking with jagged rocks nailed into my feet. No other orthotics that I’ve ever used have even come close to giving me the pain relief and improved gait and stance that Jeff’s have. It’s like comparing a Smart Car to a Porsche, basic bare bones conveyance to a finely tuned precision machine that anticipates your every move and lets you reach levels you never thought possible. The many pictures and notes of appreciation lining his walls from sports legends as well as ordinary people attest to the fact that my experience is not unique, it is the norm - the orthotics crafted by Jeff are absolutely amazing. His dedication in crafting the ideal orthotic for your individual needs while putting you at ease with his quirky humor and effervescent personality make it a pleasure to go and see him. Most people give more thought about what they want for lunch than they do to the needs of their feet, even if they have a host of problems with them. Do yourself a favor and give your feet the care they deserve.
Ive had 3 pairs of custom-made orthotics and got nothing but pain when wearing them. But it all changed when I came US Orthotic Center. Jeff at US Orthotic Center is truly your one-of-a-kind doctor. I suffered a complete Lisfranc injury in January 20. Jeff was instrumental in helping me find a terrific surgeon and in developing an orthotics plan for returning to my previously very active lifestyle. In just under 6 months I was able to go kitesurfing oceanside and comfortably ride my motorcycle again. The kiting involved a custom orthotic and carbon fiber plate fitted to a wrestling shoe. Without a creative solution like that, I would not have been able to get back at it. Thanks Jeff!
I was referred here by my foot surgeon and was so glad to have gone. Jeff Rich fitted me with both an orthotic for sneakers and also my everyday shoes! I had previously been unable to wear anything but a clog. Now I am able to walk and do other activities without foot pain! Recommend highly.
Ive been coming to Jeff Rich for the past 5 years and will never go to anybody else. He has such a knowledge of the body and sports that he is able to craft orthotics that are perfectly suited to the task at hand.Hes made me orthotics for everyday shoes, dress shoes, and tennis shoes. Im able to consistently play 10-12 hours of tennis a week and my feet are happy. If you need orthotics this is the man to see.
Great initial service and nice staff. The orthotics themselves are effective. However, the cost of replacement shoe insoles is in my opinion exhorbitant. A single pair of molded materials & filler soles costs $600.00. The original ones lasted less than a year.
Jeff is a professional and excellent at what he does. There is a difference in where you get your orthotics made and how they are made and how much the person making them knows about orthotics, shoes, sports, feet, etc...The first thing I need to point out is that Jeff listens to your requirements. He does not just read the prescription and make the orthotics. Jeff makes what you need and will even help you understand what you need and why. I thought I had a unique situation and suspected I would always have pain in my feet when I run, bike, hike or just plain walk. He took the prescription and made the molds of my feet and then discussed with me the many options for orthotics. There are many different sizes, shapes, materials, thicknesses, etc... for orthotics to address many different situations.We decided that for the first set I would get one pair for my running shoes and one for my cycling shoes. Jeff was extremely knowledgeable of the style and material to be used for each pair. I noticed immediate relief when I ran or biked. When I came back to him he made a few additional tweaks to the orthotics they were even better. Biking and running are no longer painful. As an athlete himself he understood where, when and how the pain was being caused and even recommended different types of running shoes to help even more.Now that I was using the perfect running and biking shoes and was able to run or bike without pain, this only amplified the pain I was feeling when I wore my other shoes (without the orthotics). My feet were adjusted with the orthotics when I ran or biked but that made it worse for when I wore shoes that did not have the orthotics in them. Two weeks ago I picked up my order for three additional pairs of orthotics (for my dress shoes for work when I wear a suit, for my hiking boots and another pair for my running shoes so I would not have to swap them out when I rotated between the shoes. Wearing my dress shoes to work with the orthotics in them was an incredible feeling. Before the orthotics, by the end of the day my feet and ankles would usually hurt but not any moreMy advice to anyone needing orthotics is to visit the US Orthotics center. My second piece of advice is to expect to speak with Jeff about your requirements and listen to what he has to say. He is a wealth of knowledge about different type of orthotics, different materials, different shapes, etc...
Jeff has been taking care of my feet for the last 25 years. Even before my back surgery from a ski accident, have I been wearing his orthotics. Skiing, skating, running, all sports, even a pair for my high heels. I dont leave home without them. They dont call him the Foot Doctor for nothing. I wouldnt consider going to anyone else. My feet are happy.
ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!I have orthotics which needed to be refurbished. I called half a dozen of places and they simply refused. Dr Jeff said no problem. Bring them in. He told me a week and called 2 days later to tell me I can collect them!! They are like new ones. They are PERFECT! Liara was so, so very nice. I was blown away by how much these orthotics helped. My visit with Jeff Rich was by far the most successful medical visit I have ever had. Before I get into the actual visit it was great that he was on time. That is rare in the medical profession. He did not rush me, he listened to my explanation of my issues, then explained to me several things even my doctored had not about orthotics and why I needed them. He was so informative I was actually skeptical. Then I wore the Orthotics. WOW. After 10 months of pain my ankle felt better in 3 hours. I couldnt believe it. He told me it would work almost immediately but frankly I didnt believe it but he was correct. He was also very willing to make small adjustments to make the Orthotics more comfortable to wear which was great. Do not hesitate to come here you will be happy you did.-Chris
I was born with high arches and have had problems with my feet for the past 28 years: chronic plantar fasciitis, plantar fibromas, Mortons Neuromas and Hammertoes. After several surgeries and treatments for these issues, one of my Orthopedic Surgeons referred me to Jeffrey R. Rich at the US Orthotic Center. I was Skeptical. I am a very active woman and over the years I have had several pairs of orthotics custom made, but none brought the relief that I so badly wanted and needed. That was UNTIL I MET JEFFREY RICH. Right from my first appointment he was welcoming, personable, professional and a great listener! He asked a lot of questions about the activities I was involved and the type of pain I experienced, to assess what was going on with my feet. He examined my feet and looked at how I walked. He then made plaster molds of my feet and got to work crafting orthotics. The finished products were the best pair of orthotics I have ever worn. On top of that, he offered free adjustments for a period of time after giving them to me. I definitely took him up on that. I am happy to say that I remain active and have much less foot pain than I have ever had! Furthermore I know where to go if I have a problem in the future.
My experience has been amazing. I tried one of those online custom fitted orthotic places at first. It just doesn’t make sense. My orthotics needed special attention and special fitting. I was referred to Jeffrey Rich by my orthopedic surgeon. From introduction-on, Dr. Rich was excellent. Careful examination, explanation of the problem, how he felt an orthotic could help, changes in foot care and shoe use I should make, etc. His orthotics are the most comfortable I have ever had, and I have tried over-the-counter and email brands, and another orthotic maker. And most important, they are working - comfortably standing/walking for many long days (Im a surgeon) and able to play hours and hours of tennis again. I have referred several friends to him, and will continue to return myself.
Ive been a client of US Orthotics and Jeff Rich for 4 or 5 years now. Hes a foot saver, or should I say life saver. He knows how to manufacture and refine orthotics to meet your unique needs, and, man, I got some unique foot issues. You feel comfortable telling him what your overall issue is and asking him to tweak the orthotic to get it right. Hes very experienced and insightful in helping you assess what youve heard from various doctors and orthotic shoe makers, and in helping you prepare a suitable action plan that fits your needs and budget. Jeff, simply, is a great human being, an orthotic artist that would make Da Vinci proud, and a consummate professional.
Dr. Rich is amazing! I have been suffering with foot pain for years. After meeting with him and describing the pain I was dealing with, Dr. Rich created orthotics for me that have alleviated my pain in its entirety. I couldnt be more grateful to him. In addition to all of that, he is absolutely delightful! Very friendly every visit and funny as well. Also, I never have to wait more than a couple of minutes to meet with him. I cannot more highly recommend him and his office.

I have a chronic plantar plate ligament issue that was caused by a bunion surgery. I spent 2 years with a lot of pain, saw many doctors and surgeons and no one could help me.Thanks to Jeffrey’s orthotics I can walk again somewhat normally. And I can wear normal shoes and even with a bit of high heels because of the orthotics.

I have tried many many orthotics in my life, and Jeff Rich is by far the most knowledgeable, thoughtful and effective person out there. The orthotics are great and the experience couldn’t be more pleasant. I recently went back and he adjusted 2 pairs of my orthotics that I’ve had for years, no charge. You need to go here, the orthotics will be a game changer.
I had been to a handful of specialized doctors but no one was giving me the treatment I needed. Dr. Rich addressed all the issues I was hoping my other doctors would have said sooner. Many years of working on my feet and knees in all kinds of environments as an electrician have really done a number on my feet. The way I stand and how I walk have changed because my feet hurt so much. It doesn’t matter if its sneakers, work boots, or shoes, the more I’m on my feet the more they hurt. Once I saw Jeff Rich on a friend’s recommendation and got his custom made orthotics that all changed. With Jeff’s orthotics my feet don’t hurt anymore, unless I really overdo it or have to climb up on telescoping ladders with the round ‘steps’. For the heavy jobs I use my work boots with the stiffer orthotics to help secure my foot and keep it from stretching the wrong way. Otherwise I use the regular orthotics in my sneakers and shoes, these give a little and make it easier to walk without pain. It may be easier and cheaper to just go to your local pharmacy and pick up some insoles, but you may be doing more harm than good, like getting someone off the corner to do your electrical work rather than a licensed electrician. Get the right tool for the job, see Jeff for your orthotics.
Dr. Rich practically saved my life, and my career. I work in an industry where I am constantly on my feet, going back and forth throughout the property and building. First my ankles hurt, then my knees, then my back, so on and so forth. Dr Rich created custom orthotics for me for my casual wear, and my work dress shoes, and now pain is an item from the past. Dr. Rich does more then create what his patients need, he cares for their positive well being and health just as they are one of his own family members.

I had orthotics made for both feet at the US Orthotic Center. I have hallux limitus/rigidus. In other words my big toes are not flexible. The orthotics work great and my feet basically have stopped hurting me. This is a friendly place with a very competent orthotics expert. He measured my feet and made the orthotics. He told me what shoes (off the shelf running shoes) to buy. He even told me what size to get. The shoes and the orthotics together mean I can now walk in New York on pavement! without pain!
I write to share the news about a uniquely gifted Orthodics designer, Jeffry Rich of the US Orthodics Center. I was a difficult case. I am in recovery from foot and ankle reconstruction on my left side. So Jeff was confronted with two very different feet. One with a hammer toes, extreme cavus arch and weak ankle. The other with a fused ankle, lowered arch and all sorts of other corrections. My goals were to stabilize the right foot and possibly avoid future surgery and the other to support the recovery of the “corrected” foot. I have been through many pairs of orthodics and all but this one failed to address my issues in the service of making badly damaged feet comfortable. Understand that accommodating the poor architecture of my feet by molding a caste and repeating the pattern of a deformed foot is of little to no use. Jeff met these challenges on the first try to an amazing level. A follow up appointment refined the work and I am hopeful that this pair of orthodics will extend the time or possibly avoid the need for subsequent surgery. Amazing!IG July 3, 2018 Hampton Bays NY
Jeff is Amazing,. I walked in to his office with a pain level at about a 10, in my right foot due to bad Arthritis.After he made me my orthotics I am pain free and able to walk and play golf again with no issues. Words can not express my gratitude for giving me back the ability to be pain free.

I had some orthotics made by you about 6 years ago by Jeff. They are my most prized possession! I really can’t do any activity without them. While they are still in phenomenal shape despite the heavy use they have undergone, I probably should start thinking about getting new ones in case they get damaged or lost. I contacted Jeff 6 years ago through my orthopedic surgeon who really wanted to do a total ankle reconstruction on me to correct Posterior Tibialis Tendonitis associated with severe flatfoot. The tendons on both of my ankles were really stretched out, very painful and irritated at the time. The pain was unbearable and interfering with my ability to work. I was 48 years old at the time. I ski hard. I hike. I work on ladders all day long. I am not a runner but I love to ride long distances on my bike. I went to my appointment and Jeff made casts of my feet from plaster of paris. Two weeks later I picked up my orthotics and followed his instructions. I am pain free and have been since breaking in those little life savers.I have two pairs of orthotics, one original and one other pair, they are durable, cleanable and way more fun than surgery. I came to the us orthotics centre a few years ago when looking for ski boot orthotics. Theyve been marvellous (transformed my skiing), as have the ones for work and sport shoes. Jeff and his staff are brilliant and really lovely. The orthotics have helped a lot.
The office staff was lovely and helpful. I was seen right on time and the doctor took his time explaining things to me. Unfortunately about 50% what he explained was generic diet advice, even after I told him I was not interested in talking about my diet. He is not body positive and does not practice person centered care. I definitely would not recommend him for anyone with a history of disordered eating. He did seem genuinely sorry when I told him I wasnt interested in continuing to work with him, and he didnt charge me for the visit. He seems like a good doctor for thin people.
I’ve had many orthotics made but Jeff Rich is the only one who’s been able to help me. I was told I needed surgery but these new orthotics he made for me have completely alleviated my pain.I can’t say enough good about Jeff.Really incredible.
I came in to get my ski boots fitted. Jeff diagnosed that the problem was not the insoles of the boots but the size of the boots. He gave me advice on exactly which size and type of boots I needed, as well as a lot of advice on buying boots in general. Even though he spent the hour with me he did not charge me, full well knowing that if the boots fit I may not be back at all. What a nice guy.
Love this place! Have been coming for 15 years. Have had 5 orthotics made over the year. Saved my knees. Have run pain free all these years. I have Jeff to thank for that! He is very knowledgeable and attentive.
I went in for help on a ski boot purchase an the doc spent about a half hour looking at my feet and asking questions about my skiing before giving me to different boot suggestions as well as some stretching exercises to loosen my calves.All really great information but the most impressive part was when he asked what I was currently skiing in. When I explained that it was about 14 years old and had red buckles he not only guessed the model but also the size due to the pain I was describing. I was blown away when I got home and looked my old boots. He was dead on.

A doctor recommended these orthotics for my plantar fasciitis, and I’ve found them excellent. Expensive but, if you’re a disabled runner, so worth it!

Jeff is the only choice when it comes to orthotics. I couldn’t run but once I put on his custom made orthotics, my pain completely disappeared.

I waited for a month to write a review to see what adjustment might be necessary but he got it right the first time. 2022-07-22Worth traveling to NY just to get an appointment at US Orthotic Center!My husband suffers from chronic back pain and, in the recent time, increasing impairment to walk for pain has extended to his feet. We tried several doctors and pedorthists with no success. This is why I searched on the web as we were to travel to NY and found Jeffrey Rich Orthotic Center. It took me a while to convince my husband since he was really hopeless.We cant describe our amazement when Jeffrey related all symptoms to their causes and explained to us how to treat my husbands back and foot pain. Jeffrey recommended him also exercises and shoes. Thanks to his insoles (we bought two pairs), that he adjusted up to the tiniest detail so that they fit perfectly, my husband walks now for long hours with no pain whatsoever.Were really grateful!

2022-04-14I saw Jeff when I was experiencing some discomfort due to a tailors bunion. During my first visit with Jeff, he noted that my shoes were a full size smaller than what they should be-- that alone was transformational for me! Then, within 2 weeks Jeff made custom orthotics which fit perfectly and have resulted in zero discomfort even as I run long distances training for half and full marathons. Im so grateful to Jeff, thank you!

2022-07-06Im from Los Angeles and have been looking for orthotics for quite some time. My folly is that no one actually walks in LA. So when I was in my hotel in New York City it hit me like a taxi the amount of people walked here! After a brief, Google search I found myself at the US Orthotics Center. I had a brief window as I was on tour with Steel Pulse and leaving them to meet with Earth Wind and Fire Experience. He expedited his standard timing to accommodate my demanding schedule. His process utilized the cutting edge of the industry with the old school knowledge to create an insole so fine that I have more energy to walk, perform and exercise. I went to this artificial surfing place and fell off the board and hit my knee enough to require a limp. If not for Jeffs work I would not have healed so quickly. Now if he can do something about mosquitoes, I would be set! But well just have to take it step by step. I highly recommend this man to all but forgive him if he has to bump your appointment for mine! Thats a little joke...

And could not walk a mile without pain Even though I had Orthopedics made by 2 other institutions.Jeffry Rich from US Orthopedic just by looking at my old Orthopedic identified what the issue was and created such fine Orthopedics that the next day I walked 10 miles without pain.

2022-07-09Mr. Rich is excellent. He produces his orthotics with great care and adjusts them until the fit is just right. He handles problem feet and produces the orthotic so that it is tailored to address the specific foot issues. The right and left orthotics are made individually to addresses issues with one foot that do not apply to the other.Mr. Rich also provides prompt service and his staff is very accommodating.Make an appointment if you are in need of orthotics.Update as of 7/2022: Mr. Rich again produced a pair of orthotics that meet my unique needs. I will return for his good service and talent.

2022-02-23Have been going to Jeff for over 5 years. now and am extremely happy with my orthodics. Initially came to Jeff suffering from plantar fasciitis. With therapy and Orthotics from US Orthotic Center I have been pain free for years now - wouldnt think about walking around NYC without them!

2021-10-07I am so happy that I found Jeff Rich and the US Orthotic Center. I have a completely collapsed arch in one foot and have been using his orthotics for both my ski boots and my running shoes for about 20 years, They have improved my skiing by 100%, and enabled me to run more efficiently and without pain. If you think you need orthotics, do yourself a favor: forget about the over-the-counter junk that you can buy online or at the drugstore, and go get yourself a pair of custom orthotics at the US Orthotic Center.

2018-06-28The shoe companies dont have your back but Jeff does. I went to see Jeff for a consultation for hip pain, back pain and general discomfort. After taking measurements and talking about my exercise habits he explained why my shoes and inserts are adding to that pain. I ended up ordering a set of orthotics and have noticed reduced pain and discomfort. You can see in the photo the difference between what my insert should look like for my body and whats provided by the shoe company. Im glad I made the effort and investment.
