AMAZING EXPERIENCE! From when I first entered until departing everyone was so pleasant. I petitioned for my mom from Italy and received a notice for a fingerprinting date which was not possible. I walked in and the Officer actually spoke to us in Italian making us feel so welcomed. Grazie!
I had an appointment for my biometric data here, I arrived about 5 minutes before the scheduled time, you can not take laptops or recording devices, nor is it recommended to bring a cell phone, if you take it you must be completely turned off, the staff is very helpful and friendly and they do their work very quickly. In total I was there for about 25 minutes.

2022-04-25The woman doing the fingerprints is very impatient, and yelling and screaming the whole time. She is mentally unstable and unqualified to hold any job, let alone being a government employee.

2019-11-07Ive been here twice for biometrics and both times were very easy. The staff are friendly and efficient. First appointment I went at my scheduled time (3pm) and there was almost nobody there. I was in and out in 15 mins. Second appointment was scheduled for 9am, but mornings are harder for me because of work so I decided to try going a few days early during the afternoon again (3pm again). I told the security guard that I was a few days early and asked if that was alright. He said it was fine as long as there werent too many people waiting, it would only have been a problem if they were busy. Only 3 people in line ahead of me. In and out in 20 mins.BTW, the appointment letter makes it sounds like you cant bring phones into the office with you, but this is NYC and the staff are sensible and know we dont have cars parked nearby to keep things in. Just turn your phone off before you go in and it will be fine.

2021-02-05Please note that this office used to allow walk-ins (earlier than scheduled time) for biometrics but I recently went and they strictly follow protocols to stick with originally scheduled time due to COVID. It’s good that they are strict about this to protect their employees but too bad I had to go in again. :(

2019-03-18We reached at 8am and it will slightly crowded. The security check took sometime as the queues were long but quite understandable.Once inside the center, the biometrics took around 20 mins to get completed.Plenty of seating available, the staff was very helpful with folks having queries.Everyone right from the entrance document checking staff to the person taking the biometrics was quick and deserves a thumbs up.

2019-06-04Wow, what a pleasant surprise. Everyone is super nice here. I had a biometrics appointment coming up in my home state and wasn’t able to make it. I walked into the Manhattan USCIS office with no appointment at 1pm on a Tuesday and there was nobody in front of me at the security check point or in the office itself. I was able to get my biometrics done with no issues whatsoever All within 15 minutes. this saved me a last minute flight across the country. This place is an oasis of customer service in the otherwise CS-desolate NYC.

2018-04-07Came on a Thursday to 8 am appointment. They schedule several people for the same time frame . We arrived 7:45 and there was already a line in front of us in security. Nevertheless security only opens at 8. We were able to go in the 1st elevator and we were second to arrived to the office were we had to fill a form and wait for our turn. We were done around 8:45.No priority for pregnant or people with babies ...

2016-10-19The Immigration service has beaten me down. They lost my wifes file then her case was denied for never being fingerprinted; even though I had submitted an adreess change a year prior which I proved. Finnally another notice to be fingerprinted arrived at my new addresses of over 2 years to an office in the West Village. I couldnt believe once there that she forgot the appointment slip at home. But to my surprise the place was very organized and efficient. They notified who I think was an official and he went back into an office and with-in a few minuts returned with a copy of her notice with a smile. Did I say with a smile. He also answerd some question about why this step was necessary. Since Maria only speaks Spanish a tall thin gentlemen fingerprinted her and communicated fluently in her language. We were out of there with-in 30 minutes.
