I like this shop! Niagara Falls blvd location, very polite, informative about your vehicle plus good work and reasonably fast completing the work, took two different cars there, changed wheel bearings ,brake pads and very polite not ignorant like most goofy mechanics!if you wanna spend some money to fix yo car take it there! 💯
DO NOT I repeat DO NOT take your car here. I went for a simple ny inspection and they tried to tell me my rear break was bad and they were going to fail me unless they fixed it. Mind you I just got them done last year and they showed me some bs brakes and rusted roter (I have drums so that was a lie) to try to get me to fix it. I told them to fail me and I took it my regular mechanics Mr. Tire on Miller sport hwy same day and 20 mins later said I was good to go and my car passed inspection. I knew from jump when Valu Muffler showed me that bs that they was crooked. DO NOT GO HERE
Went 2 this place 8/16/19 with no issues and NO check engine light on. Because I gotten everything fixed to get and pass an NYS inspection. They claimed to done their own inspection b4 running machine. Not sure if they put on machine because while 1 said it was running on the machine, the other was backing my car up out of shop. Which now has check engine light on and 10 codes that was never their. And stated 2 me they cant fix it and its my battery. Im very upset... due to me spending money and time getting my car fixed and ready for inspection taking it to them and they gave me 10 problems I didnt have on top of I cant get my car inspected due to the 10codes they caused to now appear.
Should have read the reviews. Rude and unprofessional. Waited an hour and a half. My car never made it into the garage. I was told about an hour. I couldnt wait any longer. Mechanic found my key and threw it in good of my car instead of handing it to me. Will never go back.
We were used and abused here. Worst job on spark plugs, they just fell off while driving and the damaged the vehicle test driving it. After they did the damage and refused to pay for it, they then repaired it without permission. THEY USED ZIP TIES! PLASTIC ZIP TIES on the brake lines! The brake line that they put in was to large and was bowed so far down that it was scraping against the ground. It was also up in the wheel well. Did I mention it was fastened to the gas line as well??? They were good until new management took over. We will never again use this location or deal with these people. It got to the point where we had to involve the police.
I spent hundreds of dollars for them to fix my car. Multiple times they claimed to know what the problem was, conducted an expensive repair to no effect. At one point the manager tried to leave the car at another Valu location, who refused to work on it. He said he would follow me back to this location in case it stopped running on the way. It stopped running and he drove off leaving me stranded in the snow on a busy road.I dont care if they seem cheap, I beg you: Please take your business literally anywhere else.
GO ANYWHERE ELSE! I was a manager there and witnessed and experienced a lot. The owner only cares about money not making sure your vehicle leaves in proper working order. Not ASE certified either. Etc etc. And check out the fake reviews. Its ironic Michelle gralton has a review for ever location. So she has gone to all 3 sounds like bull
On July 5, 2018, I took the 2010 Chevy Traverse to Valu Muffler Brake Auto Care for servicing. At the time, the 2010 Chevy Traverse was not running and also had rear end damage. Valu Muffler Brake Auto Care Completed the collision work and removal and replacement of timing chains totaling $5,304. The 2010 Chevy Traverse was returned to me on July 24, 2018.On February 18, 2019, I took the 2010 Chevy Traverse to West Herr Chevrolet for servicing. At the time, the 2010 Chevy would not start. West Herr Chevrolet diagnosed the engine as having no compression and advised that I take the 2010 Chevy Traverse back to Valu Muffler Brake Auto Care where the timing chain job was completed. Valu Muffler Brake Auto Care found that the intake valves were collapsed and needed to replace the entire engine. A used engine was installed totaling $6,960. The 2010 Chevy Traverse was returned to me on March 8, 2019.On May 19, 2019, the 2010 Chevy Traverse stopped working and towed to 311 Auto Repair and Collision. Upon diagnosis 311 Auto Repair found an issue with the engine work and recommended the car be returned to Valu Muffler Brake Auto Care. The 2010 Chevy Traverse was towed to Valu Muffler Brake Auto Care on May 21, 2019.As a direct result of Valu Auto’s negligent engine repair, I am now without a car.
I know people who work there and they are told to fix things that are not even wrong with your car so diff get a sec opinon. You can always go to the DMV and file a complaint if they get enough of them maybe we can gwt this place shut down the are thiefs and crimanals they should be wearing masks when they give you your est.. THEY ARE NOT TO BE TRUSTED TRUST ME I KNOW MACHANICS THAT SAID IF THEY DONT MEET THEYRE QUOTA THEN THEY WILL BE FIRED AND THEY P[RAY ION OLD PEOPLE ESPECAILLY OLD LADIES I FELL BAD FOR THESE PEOPEL THEIR GETTING RIPPED OFF AND THEY DONT EVEN NO IT
IM sorry but the reviews Im reading here are not consistent with my experience having my car serviced here Ive been going to this shop for the last 15 years with 4 different vehicles and have all ways been treated kindly went yesterday for an oil change and they went over my 7 year old chev Malibu and were very nice ... recommended that I rotate my tires which I did and was very happy to find out there was no extra charge to do this they did it for free, I will always recommend this place to anyone I know..
VERY UNPROFESSIONAL, MONEY MAKING BUSINESS. MAKE YOU SIGN UP FOR A CREDIT CAR WITH NOT ENOUGH EXPLANATION. MAKE YOU SPEND MONEY ON THINGS THAT SHOULD HAVE BEING ALREADY FIXED THE FIRST TIME YOU BROUGHT YOUR CAR IN. THE MANAGER IS LAZY, STAY RUDE AND ARROGANT. HE DOES NOT KEEP UP WITH THE APPOINTMENTS. HIS ANSWER IS i DONT HAVE A MECHANIC AT THIS MOMENT WHEN YOU BRING BACK YOUR CAR AFTER THEY STATED THAT THEY FIXED IT. ONLY FEW OF THE MECHANICS ARE EASY TO TALK TO.
This place should not even be open. You can get better just about any place. I made the mistake of getting a major job done at this place. I had to get the job re done. I also live near by to this place. Its dirty all around it and there are constantly people under there own car hoods. do your self go any place besides here.
DO NOT USE THE MAIN STREET LOCATION. LAST FEW VISITS WAS A DISASTER. FIRST BATTERY WAS HAMMERED TO CONNECT. SECOND CASE WAS TO REPLACE TRANSMISSION SHIFT CABLE. TRUCK STAYED THERE FOR 4 DAYS. PICKED TRUCK UP AND JOB WAS NOT COMPLETED. I WAS TOLD TO TAKE TO TRANSMISSION SHOP FOR BRACKET, DISCOVERED THAT ARM WAS WELDED AND CABLE NO PUT ON CORRECT. MANGER AT VALUE MENTIONED THAT HE WAS GOING TO TAKE PART OFF ANOTHER TRUCK TO REPAIR MINE. STAY CLEAR. POOR SERVICE.

2022-04-12I will never come here again. I cant believe Car Max is associated with them. I dropped my car for a brake change and heater motor repair. The next day, they didnt touch my car the whole time and gave an imbecilic answer by saying they dont know if car max will pay for the warrantee protection even though they had no idea or even call car max or the Nissan dealer. All they had to do was to at least work on fixing the brakes since they knew I was going to pay for that... Nope, they didnt even bother. They didnt call me as well. I only found out after I got a ride back to their place and probably enjoyed that my day was wasted.

2022-06-03I was completely satisfied with this shop. Got me in quick and inspected my brakes and gave me a estimate on the repairs I needed. I will return in the future to have some other work done on my car.

2022-02-20Probably one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had with an auto shop. I have an after-market warranty that covers the actuators for my doors locks, which I was going there for (both in the rear). First, the repairman takes it upon himself to go and purchase the parts without getting consent from my warranty company. Second, he got over-priced parts from NAPA when they should’ve been purchased from Autozone, which the warranty company covers. So I was responsible for the difference. On top of that, he charged me sales tax, saying he always charges tax. Well I’ve had warranty work done at dealerships and they never charged me sales tax, or if anything it was like $8 for my $100 deductible, but I don’t even believe I paid that. I think a big reason for that is bc dealerships get real money, and they aren’t looking for every extra penny they can come up with. I ended up paying roughly an extra $130 on top of what I normally pay for warranty work ($230), about $60-sales tax and $70-parts. Don’t think they’ll EVER see me again!

2021-06-14I am very unhappy with the way my business was handled. I took my car for an inspection renew and the mechanic decided without asking me to take my car for a joyride to drive my car around. I have never seen this done before and when I approached the manager, he told me that was a custom thing to do. For an inspection, every time I go to different places, they take my car to the shop, take out the tires, check the rotors and bakes and put the machine for any issues, this guy decided to take my Mustang and I want to make sure that if you value your car as much as I do mine, do not conduct ANY business in this place. Upon arriving after the joyride, the mechanic had the audacity to tell me that I do have a nice car, the nerve….

2021-08-14I would give 5 stars on service, but Ralf on price.. Now we know why no one can beating their price.. I dont know much about mechanic issues. but when i told my co-workers that i paid $1,306 to get my brake fixed. they laugh on me.. just the front brakes.. Looking at the receipt and judged yourselves... One thing for sure, they will never see me back in the shop again..

2021-08-17This place used to be good!! Now they’re horrible. The manager is not helpful at all. This year I went there twice. First time, they work on the resonator where problem was in the muffler. They charged me twice, and did not apologize. Again went there for inspection, charged almost $1499, and still did not pass inspection. And gave me a estimation to fix something which was 3x times more than other. Prices are skyrocket and not loyal customer service at all. Not going there anymore.

2021-01-29I went to this place for a simple inspection on my 2018 vehicle. After taking the vehicle in, the owner came and told me I would need new rotors and front brakes on the front and it would cost $289. I asked to see the rotors and he took me back to see them. I do a lot of mechanic work myself, and after inspecting them myself there was nothing wrong with the rotors. I continued to tell him this and he still refused to inspect the car. I told him to forget it and I’ll take the car back. He took my old inspection sticker off of the window and returned the car back to me because I refused to have work done to my car that was not needed. I literally pulled out of their parking lot into and into the next mechanics shop and asked them to look at my car to see if my rotors needed replaced. They took it right in and checked it out and 3 mechanics working there told me that there was absolutely nothing wrong with my rotors and inspected my car right there on the spot. Idunno if this guy at Value was scamming me or truly isn’t knowledgeable enough to be working on vehicles, But I would not recommend taking anything with an engine to this place to be worked on.

2021-04-26Horrible experience! Beware! My 10:30am appointment for an inspection ended up finishing at 4pm. When I came at 2pm, my car was still sitting in the lot waiting. I should have taken it and left. But no, they said they were pulling me in now, so I left it. I get a call saying I needed front and back brakes for $300. Wanting to end this I said ok. This was on a Saturday. They closed by 4:30 so I hurry back and take it home. My brakes loudly squeaked all Sunday! I was embarrassed to drive it. I called and told Carlos on Monday he said drive it for a week if it doesnt stop bring it back . Well it never stopped. When I did bring it back Carlos told me I needed rotors! I couldnt believe he didnt tell me ghis BEFORE putting new brakes on. He also said it would be $300 more. I took my car and left. Thank God I took it to an experienced mechanic who fixed it all, new BRAKES and rotors were now needed. Its like I threw away $300 by dealing with Carlos at Valu Brakes and Mufflers. Not a valu after all. I should have taken them to court for bad advise and horrible service, but Im 60 years old and dont have time to waste on them. Ill never go back there again. And I hope someone reads this and avoids a bad experience and wasted money with them.
