I love my table. It took 7 months which was disappointing but not there fault. Then when it came and was slightly damaged but the delivery guy immediately took photos. I too took photos and sent them. Hopefully I will enjoy my table for 20 plus years like my previous Value City Table.
We had a great experience! Myron was extremely helpful. He understood exactly what we were looking for, and let us shop without pressure. When we had decided on our TV console, Myron went above and beyond to get us the best price. He helped us secure a teacher discount, and we were able to save 15 % on our entire purchase. We will definitely come back to Value City Greece.
I had a great experience today at VCF. When I walked in I was greeted right away by one of their employees Myron. He asked what I was looking for and asked if I wanted him to walk around with me or look myself and then come back to him. I was happy with that because I don’t like feeling persuaded or pushed towards anything. After I found what I wanted he made sure to let me know how long it might take to come in just to make sure it was what I still wanted. He was friendly and very informative. I didn’t feel like I was being persuaded to buy anything and he answered all the questions I had with transparency. Overall I was happy with my purchase as well as experience today.Update to this…. My delivery was also a great experience. They notified me two days ahead around what time my delivery would be. I got a call that day telling me They would be to my apartment in 10 minutes and they were right on time. I didn’t get the name of the drivers but they were fast and considerate when walking through my apartment to deliver the furniture.
My friend Garon Galiotti works at the Greece location.He is a very wonderful person. He is kind,patient, caring and understanding he has helped me get great deals on furniture 👍. I also have a wonderful relationship with all the other employees that work at the Greece and Henrietta Store. We visited here couple of times before finally deciding to buy a Rio couch! The staff was very warm, welcoming and helpful. We were mainly served by Tom. He was very thorough and explained the products well. As we had visited there a couple of times, Myron and Tim also helped us. All of them were extremely professional, detailed and most importantly were patient with us and let us take our time to decide. We would definitely recommend here to anyone.
Came in today to purchase a matteress,and I was greeted by Myron who listened to what I was looking for and showed me exactly what mattresses will best fit me. He was curtious,and let me take my time to see if I was comfortable. He went beyond to get us the best suitable one for my needs,and gave us the best deal He could. Also, he was very knowledgeable about the Matteress I chose. I loved his customer service professionalism!
Went in looking for a shelving unit, was directed to to back clearance section. Found something we thought would do and because it was clearance, took it home that day.While putting it together ourselves isnt always an option, I kind of felt that it should have been offered at least. We managed to get it home in one piece ourselves same day we bought it so we didnt have to wait and schedule delivery.
Shopping experience was going great until K.G. botched up my purchase. Was led to believe that my very much needed purchase of electronically powered furniture set along w/$380 protection plan would be delivered next week only to learn from her that delivery wont occur until November. So I was allowed to leave with lowered expectations and had to settle for the manual version. Furthermore, had to turn around and go back in to cancel the Protection Plan on my own in the absence of perceived professionalism.
Miyron was AMAZING! He was such a kind man and had the sweetest heart. He helped me and my friend find a couch with the BEST prices, he also helped me explore great payment options that’ll build my credit. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Great customer service means going above and beyond and that’s exactly what he did.
I wanted to take the time to write a very special thank you to Value City Furniture in Greece, NY along with their team players, John, Ashley and Tim.I ordered furniture from another company back in May. The furniture was to be a gift for my son as he was moving into his 1st place. This store was quick to close the sale but failed to communicate the delay in shipment due to Covid. When the scheduled delivery time was about a week away, I called the store to make sure that delivery was all set for the coming weekend. They informed me that my order had been delayed due to the pandemic and they can not deliver for another month. I asked them why they did not contact me before I had to reach out to them. They could not give me an answer. I asked if there was a way that I could purchase off of their sales floor. They said no. My furniture continued to be delayed for 5 months. My son is still without furniture but this company did nothing to assist me and every time there was another delay, I was not notified until I reached out to them.I called Value City Furniture and the Store Manager, John answered. I told him my situation. He told me to come into the store and he and a team member would do what they could to help me.I was amazed at the care and compassion that Value City Furniture gave to me. They LISTENED to what I needed and they took the time to meet my needs.Tim literally worked up a sweat for ME!!! It was excellent customer care.I am happy to report that my son will have his furniture on next Tuesday. Thank you Value City Furniture! I will not stray away from you again. :)09/09/20- Update: My son got his new furniture yesterday and it is BEAUTIFUL! The delivery team was prompt and professional. The set up was quick and when they left, they took all of their garbage with them. I am so satisfied with Value City Furniture! You all were excellent from start to finish.
My experience at Value City was the best ever. I went to purchase a bedroom set on Sunday. Hence, all I wanted to do was rest that day i was not in a great space but knew I needed to take care of this.I was greeted by a guy who asked me to come get him should I need anything. I agreed and went searching, when I seen something of interest I immediately went to find him but he was speaking with a lady. Another sales associate appeared and helped me out. She introduced herself as Veronica. She took her time and helped me out with affordable pricing and deals. She explained the quality and the details of the furniture selected. The time she took meant a lot to me. She made my experience a great one and I appreciate it. This what customer service is all about. Thank you Veronica!!!!
Product arrived today over one hour past the window of time provided by company. The survey asked if I was satisfied with the team sent to assemble the product but there was only one guy. Thankfully Mr. Jones was knowledgeable and friendly and allowed me to assist him in assembling the product. I suspect that if Value City Furniture sent any other employee to my home that was not Christopher Jones I would not be able to recommend Value City Furniture.
Myron is the best employee they have. He has an amazing vibe and so self centered, he helped me find everything i need within 30 minutes gave me a great deal on all of my furniture together . I would very much so recommend them to everyone . DONT SECOND GUESS STOP BY AND ASK FOR MYRON ‼️
I just got done calling Value City Furniture as to where our sectional sofa would be. It was due to come on July 6th, but we never received a phone call, email, or text. We purchased the sectional back in May. I was told they sold the sectional and that we now would have to wait until September for another….The lady who took my call had nothing to offer as why our order never got a message sent, and didn’t give us a reason as to why it was resold. She was also more than happy to cancel our order, which we did. She didn’t have great customer service and we are unfortunately going to look elsewhere for a sectional now.
Ordered furniture for my sons bedroom online for the Greece NY location on 11/28, received an email confirmation with my order for a pick up date of Tuesday December 1st. Figured everything was all set so I threw out all furniture in my sons room thinking we would be able to pick up his furniture on Tuesday. Called the store on Tuesday just to make sure all the furniture was there and they said they had no record of it. Called the 1-888 number on my order sat on hold for an hour but the rep was nice and found the order and said she isn’t sure why the store doesn’t have it because my value city card was charged(her words), she said unfortunately the department she needs to talk to is closed but would call me back herself tomorrow at 4pm when they do call backs. Next day no call. So Thursday morning I call back again sit on hold for 2hrs to get a rep that was not helpful couldn’t find the order but said hold on let me try one more thing, at that point she hung up on me. I waited for her to call back but no call back, called back again to sit on hold for 1hr 45 min to get another rep she found the order but said she can’t figure it out either at this point I’ve been on the phone for 4hrs at work, I ask for her supervisor and the supervisor said they couldn’t authenticate my card, I asked if you can’t authenticate it why was my card charged, she had no idea. She said all she can do is cancel the order and I could wait a week to go in the store and re-order furniture because it’s going to take 7-10 days to refund my card! I explained I threw my sons stuff out because I got the confirmation email. She said in that case just use a different credit card to order furniture. I told her what is the purpose of having a value city card if she’s telling me to use a different one?? And furthermore they billed my credit card and now I have to wait a week for them to fix whatever they can’t figure out? Unacceptable! Worst customer service I have ever experienced! No one knows anything but value city was quick to charge my card.
3 weeks ago we bought an adjustable bed frame and mattress for over $1700. After asking sales clerk if they would take old mattress and box springs away. Simply answer yes. Arrival of items purchased the following Thursday. Perfect, except when delivery guys came wouldnt take old set because they werent wrapped which we knew nothing about. So called store and they agreed to give us bags to wrap it in and set up pickup at no charge. Problem solved so we thought. Getting the items which are still sitting in our garage wrapped and ready to be picked up for three weeks now. Today was 3rd date we have been given for pickup between 12:15-3:15. Received phone call at 11:40 starting they would be here in 20 minutes. Well after sitting home all afternoon and no one came. At 4 PM call the service and delivery and they stated I needed to our sales rep. So called store spoke to the manager Ashley who I thought was helpful at first but then never returned phone call to let us know what was going to be done after she said a call had been called into the truck manager to find reason they didnt pick up items. I have since called Ashley twice since first call to her and 2 1/2 hours later no response still. Seriously thinking of taking mattress and bos springs and leave at the stores door. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.
Great customer service by Jessica while we shopped. She was helpful and let us know that our selection was going to take a while to arrive due to COVID. We decided to order anyway for an October 23rd delivery (the first week of August). We did end up calling to get a price adjustment while we waited, as the set went on sale. They were very helpful at helping us (Loretta?). The delivery men were professional and delivered/set up everything without any issues or damage. My only complaints are that we did have to make payments the entire time we waited (we did the store financing) and most places start your promo period upon delivery. We made 3 payments before we got all our furniture even. We had to. I was also unhappy that we didnt get delivery of all pieces at once. Our delivery date was pushed out for our sofa 3 times. I was told there was no guarantee that wed even get it in time for the holidays when I inquired after the 3rd time. We did end up getting our sofa on November 20th (a month after everything else) in time for Thanksgiving entertaining. Apparently the store was supposed to tell us that further delays were to be expected, which was not made clear to us. Overall, we are satisfied and love our new furniture, but would have loved if delivery was on time.
Furniture was delayed two weeks because it was damaged. Then showed up damaged anyways (not delivery peoples fault). Thats the only negative of the experience. Had issues with knowing when my new delivery date would be when calling over the phone but went to the store and the manager solved the issue. I was told that my delivery would be free because of the issue and they honored that. Never have an issue shopping in-store and the sales people are very nice and helpful.
So happy with my purchase and delivery!! My salesperson, Tim, was knowledgeable and friendly which made the purchase a positive experience. I found out that the furniture could be delivered earlier than expected, and I received several communications to confirm the delivery. On the day of delivery I received a call saying they would be here within 30 minutes...and they were! The delivery team was professional and efficient. I would definitely recommend VCF for furniture purchases and deliveries!
Tom was awesome! Kindly greeted us at the door. Told him what we were looking for, and he directed us to the area of the store. Gave us some time to look around. We found a beautiful table at a awesome price! Returned back to the store later that day to buy couches at a awesome price. Staff is super friendly and the furniture we bought is no only beautiful but at a great price point! Very happy with Value City and will definitely recommend others and return back for any furniture I need in the future!
I went today for a bedroom set for my daughter and the Sales Respresentative Belinda was very helpful, and friendly!! She went through prices accurately and made sure we were completely satisfied with our purchase!! The Sales Manager Rob was also great as well! He went beyond to find the furniture my daughter really wanted! Come to Value City in Greece for exceptional service!! You won’t be disappointed!!
Purchased a large leather sectional, within a little over a year the leather like material began to peel off in sheets, extended warranty that was purchased will not cover this!! Couch is garbage, spend your money on better furniture or at least be aware what the extended warranty does and does not cover.... The people at this location are wonderful, and tried to be helpful, its the company and the furniture that needs work.. update 8/19 received a message that they wanted to help me after I left negative feedback, then two days later they tell me the pealing isn’t part of the warranty, they also admitted this was a problem with this couch so they discontinued it!!!!! so you buy a couch with an extended warranty, the salesman doesn’t tell you they had problems and then when it fails in less than 2 years with barely any use, they don’t stand behind it!!! Clearly they know their furniture is garbage if their extended warranty doesn’t cover poor materials or manufacturing defects…
Went Into the Greece location and was assisted by meyrin and this man was the best. Showed me all the deals, best for me , and listened to what I needed from him and added his own spin to it. He had personality, he was accommodating and very knowledgeable . He helped me without asking. They need to give Meyrin a raise !
What a wonderful experience!Our sales person Myron Chomiak and manager John provided us with excellent customer service. Myron was attentive, patient and kind. His ability to answered our questions with honesty assisted greatly in us choosing the right furniture for our family. The way the manager John treated us made me feel that their goal is on customer satisfaction. I will definitely buy my furniture at this location from now on.
I was there a long time purchasing a bedroom furniture and tables, lamps and a swivel chair and $5,400.00 later I found everything that I wanted. My saleswoman was really good and very patient with me and the girl that checked me out was very sweet and professional! All and all everything went well, now I hope it continues for the delivery because that is a separate entity.
I was greeted when I entered. Great customer service by Jessica. However 2 star is for a delay in delivery without a call. Found out on the day of delivery by me calling to ask about the delivery time. I cant afford to take random days off. Extremely irresponsible on their part. We cleared out the room for this. Now my daughter still has no bedroom furniture. Thank you for no communication. I call that terrible customer service. Im paying for furniture that 5 months to get delivered. Myron was superb today. As soon as we walked in, he was immediately attentive and gave us the basic info to start our journey. He was always available when we had questions, but he didn’t follow us around and hover over us, which is usually what happens in a sales place. If you’re coming to value city furniture, ask for Myron!! He knows what he’s talking about, and he does an AMAZING job!
The two young men that came to deliver our dining room set on August 10th, 2019, were very polite, nice and prompt. They were on time and set up our table and hutch quickly. Great service!! I love this set as well. Thank you!!Also, Katie was our sales person and was very professional and knowledgeable. I’m glad we were able to work with her. Lots of great stuff in there. We will be back!
Our experience with Myron Chomiak was amazing and more than we could have imagined! He helped us find the perfect couch for our new home ! There was no pressure and he let us take as much time as we wanted along with having great customer service! We will be back for sure and highly recommend him and value city !
I ordered a bed set and a sofa set in May. The bed set was delivered on time and in perfect condition, however I did not receive the sofa set it till October. Almost 6 months later! There where two separate occasions where they gave me a delivery date on the sofa set and even called me the day before to confirm the delivery but they never showed up. Both times I took of work with out pay to be home for the sofa delivery and they never came nor did I get a call explaining why they never came. I had to call the store my self and figure out what was going on. I end up calling the corporate offices in Ohio and complained and within a week my furniture was delivered.
I paid for a living room set over 8 months ago now, the ottoman sank in the next day it was delivered, they came out two months later and tried to repair it which I knew wouldn’t work, well I was told to wait until august 10th for a new one and guess what it’s not avail now until oct 26th, Never again!!!! And management offered nothing for the inconvenience
We love this store! Have been going here for all of our furniture needs for the past 6 years. Everyone is always wonderful! This most recent trip was amazing as always. Our sales person Tim is always so helpful. Have had him multiple times! Very knowledgeable about everything. The manager Rob helped us tremendously with the current discounts and getting them applied. Linda checked us out and was such a joy!!! Everyone is always wonderful! Highly recommend!!!
Absolute trash and liars. If they tell you Oh it will be a month wait multiply that by 4. Everyone I know is MONTHS overdue for their deliveries. They do absolutely nothing to compensate. Never getting anything from them again. Covid is not an excuse for the lack of customer service and honesty.
Katie was great.I normally order online because I dread the sales environment. I rather just be left alone, lol so I went to the counter and told the managers I already knew what I wanted and looking for someone special and nice so they sent us Katie. Katie just has a naturally genuine and great personality. Id recommend her to anyone. She did a great job making me feel comfortable and like she wasnt selling the products.Thanks again for the experience Katie. 😊 My new furniture BFF.
We are in the process of renovating some rooms in the house and as such need new furniture. I originally went to Value City Furniture in Henrietta with my mother but my experience there was not very good as the salesman was overzealous in his attempts to sell us a bedroom set. After refusing to put up with his pushy tactics we went to the Value City in Greece where we met Katie. We explained to Katie what we were looking for in a bedroom set and she was very happy to help us. She had great customer service skills, and found us a nice Full Bedroom set and mattress with no hassle. We also deeply appreciate how she did not pressure us to make a decision, she gave us time to decide if we liked the furniture or not. Many Sales representatives should take a page from Katies book in terms of politeness, helpfulness and kindness. I have enjoyed the piece of furniture i purchased Value City Furniture and will definitely come back to Katie in the future when i begin to furnish the rest of my home. :)
My husband and I have always had an amazing experience at Value City in Greece. I recently went shopping for a new living room couch. After some time of decision making I decided on a couch that I loved! Katie, our sales rep, and John, the General Manager were extremely kind and patient with me as I made my decision. They both took the time to make sure I was completely satisfied before making the purchase. I will always send my family and friends to this location.
Myron Chomiak is absolutely amazing! He made our couch shopping experience fun, affordable and easy. We ended up needing to bring one couch back as it was a little too big for our living room (our fault) and as a result needed to buy the reclining chair instead. I purchased a entire Queen mattress set almost three years ago unfortunately do to a manufactured defect the mattress failed to support as it was designed to any longer. Value city claims department to the technician and the sales rep Tom Ives honored the warranty without any issues and I was re credited. Everything was quickly resolved within 1 days and I was able to meet Tom Ives from sales to pick out another mattress of equal value if not better then what I previously had. Joe who finished out the claim was professional and positive to deal with. Tom was very informative of his products and easygoing without pressure. Tom made the selection very quick & easy. I would recommend seeing Tom Ives for your next purchase.
The worst service ever. My delivery date was June 5th if I wouldnt have called them at 5pm to see where my furniture was I would have never known it got pushed out to June 19th. I got a confirmation for me delivery on Friday to find out only 2 pieces where getting delivered. Called the store because once again no one called me to let me know only to find out my 3rd piece is on back order to August. So I go to Greece for a refund because in not waiting that long because I have been waiting since March. To get the nasty manager at Acceptance Now. She tells me I cant get a refund on my 3rd piece i have to cancel the whole order. So I said fine cancel my whole order and give me my refund. This has been paid since March. For her to tell me since I have paid it off I have to wait 6 weeks for a refund back on my card because there is nothing she can do since I paid it off. What since does that make. So once again I am on hold with Acceptance Now going on 2 hours waiting to speak with someone about my money. I WILL NEVER SPEND MONEY THERE AGAIN

Our sales associate Tom has helped us out twice now. First when we bought our couch and love seat, and again today when we bought our mattress. Both times were a great experience. He answered all of our questions and helped us get the most bang for our buck. Overall great experiences!
I just want to say this location has top notch customer service. I had the pleasure of working with Dylan R. At this location and he was AMAZING. Not only did he help me find the perfect kitchen island, he delt with all my crazy questions and, mine and my mothers bantering! He even helped me pick the perfect couch for my new home and told me about the delivery service since I had no way to transport it! He was kind, patient, funny, efficient and professional! Even when we went to check out, Joe was just as pleasant and helpful! I will forever come back to this store as long as Dylan and Joe are there! Thank you guys for your dedication in helping this mama make her house a home!!!
Store environment was comfortable, well-lit and tastefully decorated for Halloween. Customer service was excellent - consultants were attentive and reasonable with suggestions. Prices were a bit out of our range, but worth the quality of the furniture, and had optional financing plans as well as insurance coverage. Overall, a pleasant experience, and not as expensive as stores like Ashley.
The sales associates and manager were very helpful in ensuring that the warranty coverage for a bed that I purchased in another state went through. It has been a long and tedious process but the sales team was very reassuring and pleasant. Thank you Tim, Kyle and rest of the team.
We found a few things we like online (Sectional and a queen size bed for our daughter), but a December delivery date online wouldn’t work for us. So we drove from Brockport, to the store in Greece to see if we could find what we were looking for, in hopes to be able to pick it up today. So we walked to the counter, asked if we could talk to someone. They said it would be a few minutes, but they would have someone to us soon. 45 minutes had gone by and I asked if anyone was available to help us yet, they didn’t even have to walk us around, we already had things picked out. The young lady behind the desk knew we had been waiting for a long time, and tried to find someone to help us, but the guy she was asking, didn’t even have a clue who was still on shift ( I heard the young lady tell him someone had already left for the day), people on breaks, had two sales people working the floor for the whole store. The guy (not sure if he was a supervisor or not) said soon as he can find someone to help us out, he would bring them to us. After another 10-15 minutes, my family and I walked out. Very disappointed with my first, and probably the last visit at Value City. Thanks to the Young Lady behind the desk, I know you tried to help out and in my eyes, you knew more going on in the store at the time then they guy walking in and out of the office.
Melanie was by far the biggest help and had the best customer service I’ve ever seen. I returned three times and every single time she was willing to help me. She helped me make numerous decisions and discussed all options with me, I am so happy I had the opportunity to work with her I will be back!
Loyal Customer LOST!My experience with the Greece location Value City store is heartbreaking to people in Customer Service who truly care for their customers. (Having worked in Sales, and Customer Service Myself) All I received was Im SorryIt should have been, Let me see what I can do to help!It started 3 weeks ago, I saw this door buster item on Sale online. I went to the Greece store because my past experiences with them were usual Awesome. (They have since switched management- A sales rep complained to me about)I had decided to pick up my item, because I was moving and it was convenient for me at the time. I went and the gentleman name Nick (who appeared overworked and underpaid) - was very helpful and picked out the items. He assisted with us getting it on the truck.I bought the item home and did not open it until a few days later due to my busy schedule. When I did open it- I found out that they gave me one correct piece and one incorrect color piece for my 2-piece sectional. I called the next day.The rep who answer the phone (from the Greece store) was very rude and did not help with arranging a way to get the wrong item picked up and the proper item redelivered. She pointed out that I would have to bring the incorrect item back and pick up the correct item. (Even though, this was not my fault?) I called back the next day to speak with a manager- she assisted me- we set up the delivery date for 9/19. (A week and 3 days later)AWESOME RIGHT?!?!No... Delivery came about an hour later than the scheduled time. That was a HUGE inconvenience- I had to leave work early and rush home because the person who was at my house had to leave for work.They were ready to switch the item and in checking things- realize that there was a hole in the couch (image below).I am not able to get my item until 9/26 (So they say...)I am not able to get a discount due to my inconvenience.I had to cancel my party that was this Saturday 9/21.Im making up an hour of work.They said the only thing they can offer me was free delivery. At this point, I can honestly get the item myself!They are blaming me for all of this as if this was my fault. They are making it out as if I should of paid for delivery services (A sales rep said to me) like that would have solved any of this?Kal-the Ops manager was not helpful to me at all. I will no longer return to this store ever again. Dan from Corporate CARE was also not helpful for me as he agreed with the notes that was in the system.(Usually in retail they all side with whatever a manager says- They are all a team) Unfortunate truth!*Although frustrated, I did not yell or cuss anyone out during our conversations* Maybe I should have!Value City Team-Dont bother posting about how sorry you are that this has occurred unless you can fix this issue!Sincerely,An EX-Loyal customer
Delivery guys were great professional and fast . The guy who sold me the couch was professional and great to Work with. However everything else with this experience was horrible . Ordered the couch in the beginning of September , got it COVID.. wouldn’t be available till October 22. No worries every storeIs like this right now . Then October 22 comes and no one delivered my couch . No one calls to say they aren’t coming . I call VCF and they say that someone called and emailed saying their was a delay .. but that was a lie . Then they tell me it will be delivered by November 8th . Then call back automated a week later to say it won’t be available till December. Then I call back to speak to someone who then tells me now it’s available for November 20th . I called 3 days ago to confirm they were still delivering and the guy who answered the phone couldn’t find my order at all now . Next call I get was then saying the couch would be delivered on the 20th again now. I understand it’s weird times for delivery right now . But I bought the couch 2 months ago and this back and forth with delivery was ridiculous.
I have just purchased another living room set!! I have never written a review. But this store is awesome. I have bought furniture from Value City Greece NY store for years. I have had one issue in all that time and they fixed it for me. I live close buy and pop into look at the new styles. (Great selection)The sales reps, customer service and store manager are always friendly and helpful!
Just received delivery of the new furniture for man cave and I was impressed with the delivery team of this purchase. The location of the furniture was not a easy access for the Mike and Frank but they didnt flinch at the challenge. They figured out a way to maneuver around one obstacle and got the furniture in fully in-tact without any damage to the goods! They set everything up and took all the packaging with them. Polite and professional all the way; HIGHLY recommend this team and Value City Greece location for all your furniture needs!!!

Terrible customer service! I understand the need to wait a month for a delivery due to Covid. But, you call me once to confirm delivery (finally) and call me twice to give me a time range for said delivery. Took day off from work, time goes by- and I decide to call to check I’m after My delivery time. Spoke to a lady WHO COULD CARE LESS and continued to argue that I did not receive any confirmation calls AND she left me a VM stating they couldn’t deliver for another month. Liars! Complete liars. I cancelled my order, because, frankly, who wants to do business with people like that....and she had no problem cancelling my order. No apology, no “here’s what we can do”, nada. Just a “I’ll send you an email receipt”. NEVER AGAIN! Such a shame! Lesson learned- you get what you pay for.
Dillon was a great salesman and really helped us find the best couch for the best price and even helped us get financed without a credit check and only $49 down. Go to this store and ask for Dillon, or Wally as I mistakenly referred to him because all I could remember at first was the letter L repeated twice in his name. It kinda stuck as an inside joke during our entire visit with him last night. I highly recommend seeing for yourself how great the experience of buying furniture can be
My experience with value city (In Henrietta) has been an awesome one! Brent has great customer service skills and is always ready to help. He’s definitely an asset to the team! On the other hand “Rob” the person who helps with getting approved was VERY unprofessional. He spoke negatively about other employees & mentioned names & titles. I was extremely offended by that. He needs to work on his Professionalism. That’s not a good look for the company. But thanks again BRENT , Well be back just for you!
Could not be happier with service, selection, and value. Ordered on line and chair was at the store in three days. Even warehouse man was courteous and helpful. Especially terrific salesperson, Katie Gotham!!! Knowledgeable, friendly and not at all pushy. Highly recommend. Watch for sales too.
Ordered two sofas and two love seats,(mario and magnus) both were delivered on time but one sofa has a missing pad in the bottom of the cup holder and the bolts and nuts that were removed in my driveway from packaging were left in my driveway to drive over. Some nuts have made it into the house. Hopefully one of the four cars in my driveway wont get a flat.
We were greeted at the door and guided to the area to look for a bed. While browsing we were given the time to look with pressure from staff. While making decisions Myron was helpful and answered our questions. When we made our final decision Myron took our order and helped us secure financing. We had a good experience.
Furniture was a good value with a nice look. Our salesman Myron? Was great not pushy at all like the sales people at Ashley. I will tell you the service after sales leave a lot to be desired.Our chair broke, the warranty company never responded to our request... Because its covered under MFG warranty. Ok so I didnt know this, no one told me.... I paid for a warranty did what I was told and they did nothing. Called the store the manager was helpful, but basically ended up having to wait over a week (still waiting) for repairs. If the chair cant be repaired I have to bring it in to exchange it for a new one????? Hmmmm I am in a cast (and I mentioned that) so this should be fun!. The repair area calls me 4 days before the repair to tell me they will call me the next day with a 2 hour window.... Never received that call, I had to call them. So now I wait to see how this all plays out.... Very discouraging though, I thought about purchasing more furniture from them in the future but if this is how the service after sales are I will look else where.
Working with Gerald Kaplan on our recent Value City purchase was a wonderful experience. He was very knowledgeable with what Value City has to offer. He showed us some great deals and never pressured us. We purchased the Lennon Bedroom Collection and just LOVE IT! The two Fellas that delivered the bedroom set were also very friendly, clean, neat, and very efficient in delivering and setting up everything. Nick in the stockroom was willing to give up a bed he had set aside for himself for my family because mine was on backorder and, due to the current economic situation and stores closing, will be unable to get. This is second time my boyfriend and I shopped and bought big items ( couch and bed) at this Value City, and both were great experiences! Both times Tom had helped us. He made our shopping quick and easy! We had been to many places for couches and finally stopped at this location and found the perfect one! So when we went to go shopping for a new bed we knew the right place to go and we were happy to see Tom was there again to help us! We were very indecisive with the bed, and Tom used his personal experience to help us narrow it down! Alls we told him was what we wanted and what we didnt want and found the perfect one! I have been buying from vcf for over 20 years. This last experience was the worst. My salesperson was great but delivery service was terrible. Showed up almost 3hrs late. Spoke to store manager who was great. One piece was damaged and after they sent someone to look at it I had to call store 9 days later to find when new one would be delivered. It was set ip for today 230 to 430. At 310 was notified it was damaged. Didnt they see it when loading on truck. Im done
Greece location Value City is one of my favorite furniture stores. They have exclusive sets that you cant find anywhere else for a decent price. Upon shopping at this store I was assisted by the coolest, most down to earth, knowledgeable and genuine person Dylan R. Id highly recommend shopping here and having him assist you in hopes that youll have the same amazing experiences as I have!!!

My wife and I had another great experience here at value city. Whenever we are in the market for furniture this is always our go to. Tim we have worked with a few times and we come back bc he is an honest sales guy. Tonight we left the store to think about a couch, but within a short ride down the street we turned around and bought the couch and a table not just bc we loved it, but bc we knew nowhere else would give us the same price and value and experience.
Just had an excellent shopping experience with Aaron! We had everything wrapped up in one hour. He answered all our questions and move us through checkout process with no pressure. Would highly recommend him and this location to anyone for their furniture needs. Thank you Aaron.
Aaron Lewis was incredibly helpful and fun to work with while I picked out my kitchen dining set and living room sectional. Value City followed up Aaron’s lead, delivering my furniture earlier than my delivery window and furniture all carefully wrapped. Everyone made this a fast, fun, and happy experience!
So I finally get a chance to go shopping for my wifes Christmas gift, we walk in the door and there to recieve us is the salesman named Jerry. He tells us about their deals, and he tells us if we spend 1500. we get 100.00 off, and 300.00 off if we spend 3k no matter how drastically reduced in price the items were. So we got 3800.00 worth of stuff, and when it came time for that discount to come off, he says it wont let him do it. I asked what was wrong and he says he forgot to tell me, that any item that was already discounted didnt count and that I could get 300. in free items. So naturally I was upset and told him thats not what was promised and they needed to make things right. All I was offered was free delivery, which I really dont need, so long story short they lost a customer for life because they were deceitful and unwillng to do the right thing when they clearly were in the wrong to begin with.
Still waiting for my Pub Table and ottoman to be refunded to me after a month, it never came back in stock. I purchased a large order a few days before presidents day sale and was told by my salesmen I could get a credit on account if my items were on sale. This came out to be 500-700 in savings and now Im starting to think I was tricked or something. Not a great experience. Hopefully they can make it right.
Absolutely horrible experience. My husband and I bought our couch from the Greece, NY store. On the day of delivery we discovered that our salesman, Tom, ordered us the wrong facing sectional, which the order should have been pretty fool proof considering we ordered the exact couch we were sitting on when he helped us.When the couch arrived I immediately told the delivery men to take it back because it was wrong. The lead delivery man told me that he had been doing this for 10 years and if we sent the couch back it would be considered a completed order and would take at minimum another month to get the correct couch. However, if we kept the couch, despite it not fitting in our living room, we would be guaranteed a new couch within a week.Later that evening I received a call from Loretta, in customer service, informing me that it will be at least a month before we will be receiving the correct couch and 3 weeks before they will be picking up the incorrect couch that the delivery men did not want to take back.After being incredibly upset that we were blatantly lied to by their delivery men and were ordered the wrong couch by an incompetent salesman, they agreed to pick up the incorrect couch within a week, but still refuse to bring us our correct couch any earlier than a month and would not compensate us at all for the awful experience we received.We will never buy from Value City again!
I went to look and ended up buying a sofa, tv stand and mattress. Melanie Nieves was very welcoming, knowledgeable and friendly. I had her give me a quote on 2 sofas then walked around and changed my mind to another sofa then added the tv table from clearance and then the mattress that Ive been putting off buying. I wish the delivery charge was less. Thats why I added on the mattress and table. Ill go back again and ask for Melanie.
I bought Samantha Twin Upholstered Daybed - Black SKU: 1885243. When I was unpacking it several of the jewels were already off and in the bottom of the box. I have had the bed assembled for 10 days now and more of these jewels fall off every day. For the cost of this product I did not expect it to be coming apart. I called the location I bought it from and get contently disconnected when I am put on hold. I have emailed in the contact us with no response. I have posted on FB page and told to send PM. No contact after PM. I do not recommend this company. Way to make a little kid that picked this out as a birthday present cry every night when she looks at her new bed!!
During my recent visit I had received outstanding customer service. I acreddit my successful trip to the gentleman Aaron who had unparalleled knowledge of all the items available. He guided me step by step to ensure I understood all policies with a payment plan and even went as far to ensure the items I selected matched! My experience here has been nothing but positive and I will be visiting in the near future. (Linda was outstanding as well!)
I love the sales staff but the customers service staff needs more training. Called to find out how to pay my bill, but I got the run around. They took all my information, then could not tell me my balance? After 15 mins they told me that I just would have to come in store. Why couldnt they just tell me that instead of wasting my time. Very frustrating experience.
This value city is above all the rest! We walked in after having a terrible experience at Raymour and flannigan. Tim, Rob and Jessica were more than helpful on getting us furniture within 3 days!!! Ruby Gordon was booking out for 6 weeks! And Raymour wouldn’t help us out at all . They all have this same couch and Value City’s price was most reasonable and helpful with every step of the way ! My husband and I had the best experience at the Greece location over shopping all around Rochester every retail store !! Ask for any of these three peeps !!!! You will not be disappointed!
Mr. Myron Chomiak helped us save a few $$$ on our purchase of a whole new Bedroom and mattress set. At 1st I wasnt to sure about him but when What we wanted wasnt in stock he personally went out his way with speaking to his Manager and was able to pull some strings for us and we walked out with a better quality of things for the same price I walked in wanting to spend. Attempted to pick up my bed for the SECOND time at the Greece NY store. I got there at 4:02 on Saturday and their pick up closes at 4. Kyle (operations manager) said due to the weight I couldnt pick it up since he needed another guy to help him load it. Another employee offered to help load it but Kyle declined and I was unable to get my merchandise. I cancelled the order. I then tried calling the store manager to express my complaint, left a message with no call back. Terrible customer service and will not be back.
I have purchased all of the furniture in my house from value city. I made my first purchase in May and still have not recieved 2 of my dining room table chairs! It is now September and it has been delayed for the 4th time to be delivered on December 17th! I am beyond frustrated and the employees seem to think this is no big deal!!!
Just wanted to comment on the delivery men that delivered to my resident today at 50 Chestnut Plaza. The men were very, very patient and understanding while waiting for our freight elevator to be evaluated as safe for use and also with handling and putting together the residents bed frame. Went to complete my purchase and was stuck for delivery date. Kyle the Operations Manager got busy and went above and beyond and was able to meet my needs for delivery. From my initial walk in to close of sale and delivery was outstanding and i reccomend buying here.
They have really good deals here if you go all the way to back left -- youll find a room of discounted furniture. The salespeople here are pretty laid back and informative, happy to help you find what youre looking for and ready to answer questions about ordering and picking up. We purchased a sectional couch from these guys in the Fall and it was a great experience!
Beware of value city Uniters warranty. We had damage to our couch and recliner. When we put a claim in they could not repair them due to them being discontinue there for could only offer us credit. Well the warranty only credits on the each piece. So because it’s discontinued you cannot match the set and we are forced to buy a whole new set. ( which we will not but there ever again). They wound not cover the chair at all because the tech that looked at it said it was fading and not accidental. A perfect round circle is fading? After I told them the kids spilled something on it? Even after disputing the claim they still would not stand behind it. Makes no sense to buy the warranty. Buyer beware it is Just a waste of money.SincerelyUnhappy customer Greece NY
I purchased a sectional from VCF and I had an ok experience. I ordered a sectional and the date of delivery was told differently to me than the date on the reciept. I was very upset and tried to contact the manager to work something out. It did take a minute to get a hold of him, but he did a good job working things out. I was a very upset member, and John did calm me down. The reason I gave 3 stars was because I had plans of having it delivered and now I have to get a uhaul and do it myself. But the reason I didnt give them less than three was because they did what they could to get me the couch the same day I was origionally told.
Got the merchandise damaged from Rochester NY Greece location. Gave me a run around for two months about delivering and replacing my damaged furniture, that i had EXTRA insurance for. Finally, i had enough and told them to pick it up and cancel it all. They are having me pay $110 for the haul of their DAMAGED merchandise from my house. Sooo... Now im out of the furniture and out $110. So basically, a trip to value city cost me $110. I just couldnt deal with the lies anymore and Id rather pay $110 than to be treated like an idiot by numerous people including their manager John Giglioti . You can have your stuff back AND the extra money youre having me pay for your mistakes. Youre right! I am an idiot. An idiot for thinking that i could have a better experience with this company after they treated me poorly the first time around. Never again. So disappointed. So, incredibly disappointed and frustrated.

Horrible customer service after you have purchased furniture from them. Purchased a memory foam microgel series mattress set, which is sinking on one side and it is covered under warranty; of course they denied to cover it. It is a big difference which causes discomfort, but they claim its not. I will be taking my business elsewhere because they do not value the customer nor back their product.
AWFUL, Crappy , CHEAP Furniture !!!! My 20 yr old daughter bought a 5 drawer Dresser on sale for 599.00 . You would think at that price , it would be good solid furniture. No . In the 3 months she has had it , it has been replaced twice for broken drawers , and now , 2 weeks after getting the 2nd one , it is broken AGAIN !!!! She opens the drawer ( tshirts by the way , so NOT HEAVY ) and the rollers fall right off. JUNK !!! DO NOT waste your time or money on Value City !!!

2022-06-25We spent hours here. Very nice selection of furniture. Dominic was our sales person and he was just great. Was there when we had questions but not overbearing. We did end up buying furniture. We were called 2 days before delivery to let us know that everything is confirmed and we were given a three-hour window for the day of delivery. On the day of delivery, we received an automated call saying that our furniture would be delivered in approximately 20 minutes and it was exactly 20 minutes later that the truck pulled up. The two gentlemen that delivered the furniture were very courteous and nice to deal with. An all-around excellent experience.

2022-05-25Needed a few pieces of furniture for a short period of time and didnt want to spend a lot. Stopped in and found a sofa that fits our needs. We thought it was a good price and didnt need to compromise between a piece of furniture wed keep for a few years vs having everything we wanted. Could say just got lucky being in the right place at the right time by finding basically what we were looking for. Right color scheme and features. They do offer a military discount (10%).

2022-06-16The quality is lacking. I purchased my child a bed frame and within one week a leg on the bed cracked and the bed tipped over. Its a shame for a 500$ bed to break so fast.Update- their answer to this problem is to repair the bed. A brand new bed that broke immediately. To add insult to injury the manager wont get in touch with me to schedule the repair. This is unacceptable and I wont be purchasing anything here again. I will contact the bbb about this.

2022-01-13Every time I see something nice in the clearance department there’s always an issue purchasing because associates and managers are ALWAYS holding things for themselves or friends for so long. It’s like how hard is it to come up with 300 or 400 dollars especially since it’s always weeks out. I am so fed up with this location. I love Tim and Dominic tho. Tim has been a good salesperson for more than 15 years for me. I will either start going to Henrietta or just not going to Value City at all. I’m so tired of calling corporate.

2021-11-06My husband and I went to a few places to look for a sofa set. We found a really nice sectional on sale at Value City and honestly what really sold us on it besides the price and easy financing was the customer service. Tim Case was outstanding, friendly, and helpful and also not pushy. You don’t see a lot of great customer service anymore and he is excellent! Definitely would recommend!
