Love the place the best ice-cream in nyc
The biggest most delicious icecream ever! They have awesome unique flavors. Im a chocolate lover and my cone was delicious. They have a cute seating area for eating in. The staff is friendly and the place is clean. Definitely stop in.

I ordered via Uber Eats and wouldn’t recommend this approach. By the time the ice cream arrived it was very soft and almost melted. The ice cream was very sweet but the thing I like about this place is that they cater to the allergy afflicted whether it’s dairy, gluten or other ingredients. If you’re looking for a good old fashioned scoop of vanilla ice cream (for example), one can probably get better value going somewhere else.
Well now Im getting vegan ice cream twice per week; there goes my wedding diet. But just delicious! Staff is always friendly and helpful.
Van Leeuwen is great. While Im typically not a fan of Vegan ice creams, Van Leeuwen has managed to make them extremely creamy (the piece that I find to be most missing in Vegan ice creams) to the point that i will seek out certain Van Leeuwen ice cream flavors. Ive had many Van Leeuwen pints and cones and I 100% recommend. Earl Grey is unusual and delicious.
Frequent change of flavors forces to to try something new all the time! But so far me favorite is Marionberry cheesecake...

The best taste ice cream I have ever tasted
First time ever we (my daughter and I) where not able to finish our ice-cream. The amount of sugar they put in it makes you feel you are eating sugar without any other flavor. There are better ice-cream options in the area.
The service was great but the ice cream itself was very sweet. I think this place is mostly known for its vegan ice cream, I got a dairy based ice cream. All the people at the register were super friendly.

Okay. I get the hype. This ice cream is BOLD. It’s packed with flavor, and after going once, I’m obsessed.I got the small one scoop for $5.75 which is quite a lot for some ice cream, but IT WAS WORTH IT (as a treat). The honey basil lemon shortbread is a current special, and I always try the special. It was packed with every single flavor. It was so fresh! It had texture and didn’t melt too fast. You can truly taste the difference in organically made ice cream vs everything else. The employee was patient with us trying to decide.It was clean and well kept. I will be returning, but only as a special occasion.
Was looking forward to trying this hot spot but left disappointed. Got strawberry on a homemade cone. Definitely super overpriced and not worth imo. I got the strawberry and it was pretty sour...(the visit left a sour taste in my mouth!) Store bought ice cream would have been more pleasurable and less expensive...
Good ice cream flavors in general but the vegan ones need more work in regards to texture and consistency.
Do not order delivery from this location. I ordered six pints of all different flavors. They came in a generic container with no labeling. When I called the store, they have no idea what they gave me. They exchanged out flavors for ones they didnt have, so I literally have no idea what I have. I called them, and they still werent able to tell me. I like Van leeuwen ice cream, but there are plenty of other locations you can go to. Just expect a very low degree of professionalism of anything you order at this location.
The ice cream was so yummy! We got the make your own Sunday and it was so worth it. It has some vegan options to which I think is great.
I love the ice cream here. But we just left because at 11 pm with a line close to out the door one person was taking orders and then payment, while one cleaned up the space, countertops etc for the evening. I appreciate that employees want to leave when the shop closes at midnight but this is a service business and when there is a line you need to wait on the customers. After waiting for awhile on the slow moving line while watching the repeated cleaning by the second employee, we decided to leave without our ice cream. Hoping the customer service improves because we love this addition to the neighborhood.

The Banana Pudding ice cream was like styrofoam and literally crumbled with no flavor, both the wife and I couldn’t eat it. $6 for a small single scoop is a little ridiculous too. The honeycomb was ok.
Both of the flavors i got today were temperature abused and crystalized, when I pointed this out to the server she replied oh yeah the vegan flavors do that. Seriously??? $8 for inedible crystalized ice cream and thats Ok? Also when I asked for a cup of water, since its 90° she replied We cant do that, but we have the $3 bottled available Will never spend another dime at this location.

2021-08-15Amazing ice cream!I was told this brand was good, and it is 100% correct.The ice creams are delicious. There are quite a few flavours to choose from. The chocolate fudge is my go to but it needs to be balanced with something less sweet.Id love to see more fruity flavours or maybe even sorbets. Im sure this brand would crush it.Service was also fantastic as the 2 ladies behind the counter were super kind and helpful. Definitely deserved the optional tip.Overal, a great ice-cream with a great service.

2021-08-19Taste? Pretty good.Structural integrity? Abysmal.This pistachio ice cream melted at a rate faster than I’ve seen ice cream melt before, and it wasn’t even a hot day! In the 70s (Fahrenheit)!The waffle cone also had a huge hole at the bottom and leaked melted ice cream out the bottom all over everything. It also wasn’t very structurally sound, and the instant it got moist(?) / soggy from the ice cream, it just started breaking apart.Honestly there’s enough good ice cream in the world that I don’t see a point coming back here again. Too traumatic of an experience lol.

2021-07-27An old lady tried to pay with cash. The ice cream place does not accept cash. The employee was so nice and told her to not worry about paying. Then another customer went ahead and pay for the ladies ice cream. Besides the ice cream is really amazing, this place has a nice feeling to it.One warning is that my toddler failed into this Gap showing in the picture, because the gap between the glass and the latch was hard to see.
