Was really looking forward to this place but it truly disappointed. Hot & sour soup was bland. Dumplings were too doughy and overcooked. The rice roll had hair in it. And beyond all of this, the weirded thing was that they overfill the tea pots and pour the extra tea on the floor when serving. Disappointed to have a meal here when I know there are much better places nearby.
My friend and I ordered from the dim sum menu. Everything was good, you can tell they make everything from scratch and its fresh. The dumpling skins were soft, chewy yet melt in your mouth. Portion sizes are large and I believe we each paid around 12 to 15 dollars each and still had leftovers for lunch the next day. I especially liked the fried radish cakes, vegan versions are so hard to find.
The appetizers are not that fresh, I saw last they sit in trays by the front window. We tried duck and steak cubes. Also ordered a bunch of dim sum. The imitation shark fin yellow dumpings are good, I thought it tasted like pork. The shu mai was good. The shrimp stuff were decent imitation. The dim sum was good as imitation meats go, but so so as dim sum go.
I’ve been coming here every time I come to NY since the early 2000s. This place used to make me so happy with their food. I went back this time and unfortunately the food was not as good. I don’t care about the plastic plates like others did on the reviews. But the fact that I couldn’t finish any of the dishes I received was a disappointment.I really hope they do a better job in the kitchen. Unfortunately I don’t think I’ll be going back. It’s bittersweet as I’ve been going to this restaurant since I was a teenager.
Im sad to say that this has to be the worst restaurant Ive ever been to. The fried noodles were so hard I wondered if they had even touched water. We got raw dough, slimy who-knows-what and tasteless crab cakes. The cherry on top was when we ordered mango milkshake and got mango juice. When we asked about the milkshake she took our juice, ADDED MILK, put it in a blender and SHOOK IT. She then gave it back and we watched as the juice and milk slowly separated. Milk-shake indeed.I have never gagged at a restaurant before this place, and I hope to save others from the same experience. The good news was that since we barely ate anything, we had room for dessert. Turns out the Chinatown Ice Cream Factory is right around the corner, it saved our night.
Where to start? We came here because the higher rated vegetarian dim sum place around the corner from here The Original Buddha Bodai vegetarian dim sum house closed at 4. Ive been wanting to try that place for months but with busy schedule have a hard time making it to this part of town from Queens. Today I finally could but as aforementioned their dim sum closed at 4.So we were bummed, but I googled and found this place and was delighted we could get vegetarian dim sum after coming all this way. I noticed the rating was lower but thought hey we already came all this way.The moment we entered the place we could see why this was less popular almost immediately. From the smell, which totally smelled like they smoke cigarettes in the back of the restaurant, maybe even inside when theyre closing. The atmosphere was rough to say the least. But I thought hey lets judge the food, NYC is expensive not everyone can afford a nice looking and apparently smelling restaurant. The food....About that, the food was horrible! It was so bland that you had to drench everything in soy sauce to find relief. Id never tasted such aggressively bland food before. I kept eating it expecting it to get better but the flavor never came.I didnt enjoy anything but the soup. The service was alright, untill the end where we were accosted to give them a 15% tip which is advertised no where of course.Anyways if you like a bad smelling restaurant with bland food and an enforced tip this is the perfect place for you.
The best part of being called for jury service is getting to come here for lunch!! Their buns are delicious and plentiful. Dont come here for fancy seating, the places hasnt been updated in years, but I personally find those fancy places are overpriced and not as tasty as VDP
Everything here is fresh, delicious, and worth coming back to again and again. We love the spinach dumplings, although the name is deceiving bc the filling doesnt have any spinach, yet the dough is made with spinach and is green. We also order the curries, and love their sauces and the freshness of their vegetables.Unfortunately, service is never good, so thats the only reason a star is taken off. If you can get over that, we can, its worth it, bc the chefs back there know what they are doing.
Second time here. Honestly its one of those few vegan places. The decor is something from 60s and it feels like its stuck in time( not in a bad way). The food was good. But do not expect great presentation etc. This is more like a hole in the wall place which is easy to miss but we noticed a lot of locals visit when we were waiting for food. So its good of sure :)
Went there at 11 and it was pretty dark inside. My company had already sat.. first thing I noticed were the plastic plates and disposable utensils which was the initial turnoff. The dumplings had thick skin and barely anything inside and there was way too much gluten (fake meat) and oil in everything. The one thing I enjoyed was the Buddhas delight veggie dish served with a lot of mushrooms. The food overall was below meteocre and didnt seem fresh. Not worth it :/
I went because a friend recommended it. Found the place after driving around Chinatown in the cold and rain -was happy to grab a cheap umbrella from a gift shop and walk to the entrance. When I found the place, I found it to be modest. I like modest, but asthetic doesnt bother mr as long as the food is great... sadly the food was underwhelming. The items I ordered were mostly starchy dough and the fillings were lacking in complexity of flavor. As a vegan, I love that they cater to my diet, but it wasnt good enough to eat twice. After the meal, they could not accept payment by credit card or plastic. I had to be escorted to an ATM 3 doors down in a hair salon to get cash out and pay my bill. That was wierd. Also, my waitress didnt speak English -but its Chinatown, so I guess that ok?
I really thought I scored a win finding a vegetarian dim sum joint. Turns out this was a terrible choice. I ordered the “Cold Sesame Noodle” with extra vegetables. I agreed to the $3 for the extra veggies. Surprise! The veggie is… shredded lettuce! Not a veggie in sight. Also, they put SOOOO much sesame paste that it felt like I was eating cold spaghetti mixed with an entire jar of peanut butter with some shredded lettuce thrown on top. Even the dim sum was disappointing. I’m normally not a picky eater but this place sucks.
Very authentic Chinese Dim Sum, especially the 腸粉, both Rice Flour Rolls with White Fungus and Golden Mushroom and fried dough versions were so smooth in texture, plus the special soy sauce you get with other regular dim sum places. Staff very helpful, turn on AC for us to dine in when all the other guests wanted to eat al fresco. The complementary fermented rice dessert was also just right and not too sweet.
The Buddha vegetarian dim sum is betterDon’t get me wrong the food here is alright. Maybe even good if you are vegetarian and are used to eating tasteless tree bark.A couple of items were actually good. The buns needed more filling and maybe some extra salt.It was cheap. Ill give them that.
For what this place is - a vegetarian chinese food spot still open on a weeknight during covid - I got more than what I expected. The sweet/sour pork was innovative. The server and other patrons were very friendly. The prices were low, and the tea was hot and, surprisingly, deliciousThere is yet a soul in this troubled city.
I live in Purchase NY and I take a 1 hour commute just to get to this place. It is the best dim sum I have ever had. Everything is vegetarian, so I never have to worry about the menu. The taro treasure balls are my favorite dish to get. Please visit if you are near here!!! Very cheap and amazing food for the prices!!
Never had vegetarian dim sum before. Was pleasantly surprised. Non-stop tea, which was delicious. Pork buns were tasty. Wasnt such a fan of the turnip cakes, but the dumplings were top notch. Didnt feel rushed. Very, very reasonable prices. Will definitely come back. Need more places like this.
My good friend brought me to this location and the food was incredibly good I love vegetarian Chinese restaurants because their recipes are traditional and really fascinating how they create vegan meat. We had a great time in the quiet and family friendly environment the servers were very prompt and responsive to our needs and was very helpful with our menu selections as well. I have a peanut allergy and they were also very respectful and made sure that all of the food was safe for consumption.
Great value, dinner for 2 with lots of leftovers was only $40, tip included. The restaurant its self could use a major update but was pretty clean overall for a hole in the wall in China Town. Nice selection of stuff between the dim sum and normal menu. Staff was super attentive and pretty friendly. Would definitely go back especially with vegetarian friends as decent inexpensive options are sometimes hard to come across in the city.
Had lunch with my friend that thought this place was close down. She was so excited when we saw the restaurant is up and running. They had a few tables for outdoor dining. Ordered a few dim sum and it was so fresh. The fried taro and rice roll with chinese spinach are my favorite.
This is a hole in the wall place but is in no way gross or dingy. Just not updated. We just ordered dim sum so nothing off the big menu. And it was delicious. It was so nice to get a dim sum experience where a vegan can enjoy it. Not fancy or flashy and I Very much recommend. They do ONLY ACCEPT CASH, so just prepare
It has awesome mock chicken, mock pork, mock beef. Sauces are awesome. I had the best fried noodles with tofu today. The food is awesome. The atmosphere could use a little sprucing up and the health inspection grade B is concerning because I worked in a restaurant before and to get an A you get several chances. However, nothing wrong so far.
This is a pretty good and affordable place to dine in or pick up food if you’re in the Chinatown area and seeking out vegan food!My partner and I split one entree (bean curd and peppers in black bean sauce) and four items (kale rice rolls, pork buns, + two other good items that I’m forgetting, one was taro based and another lotus based) from the dim sum menu and we were stuffed + took home leftovers. I think my favorite dish was the pork buns but everything was good enough that I’d be down to order it again.Service was a bit curt but not rude. I have a mushroom allergy and several of the items I originally wanted contained them, so our server pointed out similar but mushroom-less dishes.
I really wanted to like this place. I tried the dim sum (pan fried dumplings, spinach dumplings, egg roll, fried sesame bun). I’m sad to say, but the dumplings were just way too bready and greasy. I cut off half of the breading on each dumpling. The filling was okay. The amount of grease on everything just really turned me off, but I’m just not used to very greasy foods. The spring roll filling was good, but again, too greasy. Alas, the sesame buns were tasty! Great crispy consistency and nice sesame, sweet filling. I’m sure the other dishes at this place are good, but I just did not enjoy the dumplings. Then again, this place is also pretty cheap for the amount of food you get. So it depends on what matters most to you!
Holy Dim Sum! This place is by far one of my favorite spots to eat in Chinatown. My partner and I stumbled upon this gem by accident when the restaurant a friend recommended was too busy. This place has so many options that we have started going down the menu and trying everything. Every plate has its own unique flavor and presentation. We have yet to be disappointed. The food is always fresh and the wait is never long.
The dim sum and dumplings were just okay... The buns and dumplings were perfectly cooked, but lacked a lot of flavor. the buns were a bit on the sweet side (needed some greens or scallions inside) and the shrimp dumplings were mostly just filled with plain rice. Chili oil was on the basic side. Beware, this place accepts cash only!
Great price and great food. Our waitress was awesome pointing us in the right direction and advising us how many dishes to order (sometimes youre not sure when youre ordering small plates).Pot of tea comes to your table as soon as you sit down.Everything is vegetarian: just veggies or with really convincing mock-meat. Try the pork buns!Great place, would go again.
Finally! A dim sum spot that vegetarians can wantonly explore (pun intended) without being limited by the menu or consuming meat that got lost in translation! It was great to finally have the unbridled joy of randomly checking off creatively named items from the dim sum list without worrying about what poor critters made up the contents. Not that there arent veggie options at other dim sum places but they are few and far between. This was the first place Ive been to where the entire menu is vegetarian friendly. We ordered a soup and 7 items off the dim sum list and it came out to about $35 which was great value. We ordered way more than required but everything looked so good! The servers were really friendly and they make excellent recommendations since a lot of the items have fanciful names that give you no idea as to what they actually are. The 2 best things we orderef actually were the ones recommended by the server. They also bring you a kettle of hot tea as soon as you go in which was a nice touch.Cant recommend this place enough for vegetarians and even if you arent one its still good some great food. Only drawback is its cash only but the food is worth every penny.
Yes!! Kosher, vegetarian restaurant with an amazing dim sum menu. Just make sure you go before 4 pm because the prices of the dim sum increase by $1. Definitely try their steamed buns and fried tarot dumplings. The chicken fried rice is awesome too. Take extra him because it’s even better the next day.
I had the mock shrimp dumplings and sweet and salty dumplings. Both were ok. My husband ordered the rice and black mushrooms and it was ok. The mango pudding we had for dessert was delicious and refreshing on a hot summer day. The staff was not very friendly, but we got our food fairly quick.
I went here recently with a small group of friends for dinner. I would not come here for the ambiance, but if you want good dim sum at a great value, this is a solid option. I would say the portions are average, but the prices are mad cheap--average price was 3.50/item. As someone who eats a lot of vegetarian food, and has veg friends, it was nice to sit down, order, and know that nothing on the menu contains meat. I cant tell you how many times Ive seen pork and vegetarian in the same item descriptions around this area.
The food was low quality, super greasy, and very expensive for what you get. There is cheaper and way better vegan Dim Sum in Chinatown. My gastrointestinal system was not happy the next day and my partner had the same experience. We ate the Sichuan chicken (too greasy), the treasure balls (tater tots that tasted suspiciously like animal fat), fired wontons (greasy cracker with almost no filling), pork bun (not bad, not great), and spring rolls (weird, filled with clear jelly stuff).Save your money and your stomach and go somewhere else.
Consistently great food. Try the veggie pork buns! Something not to be missed. All dumplings are always amazing as well. Service is classic china town style, so dont expect smiles and too much attention. Go for the food, not the ambiance, and you will leave a very happy customer.
The absolute best Chinese food Ive had. The meals were cheap and the waitress didnt really know English, so we thought the meals are tasters and ordered 5 meals. They were huge! But it all tasted so good that we almost managed to finish it. The noodle soup and spinach dim sum were the best
Worst restaurant Ive been to in New York.. they provide fruit milk shakes and juices which is just water and a little bit of fruit essence. No air-conditioning as well. We were literally sweating and felt suffocated. Food is not that great as well.. the pork buns are alright. But other than that none of the items we ordered were good. Never going there ever again.
Disclaimer: Im not a vegetarian and I AM a picky eater!I ordered the pan-fried dumplings and spinach dumplings. The pan fried dumplings had huge chunks of Chinese eggplant, strips of onion and what I think is mock pork, since, surprise, its all vegetarian. It took me a few bits through thick, chewy dough to even get to the inside, but because the menu didnt list ingredients, I didnt finish my dish as it wasnt to my liking. The spinach dumplings were filled with gluten. As for service, so not friendly or helpful. We only ordered four items and twice we were asked, is that all? Then, since it was later, the staffers spent more time counting the money than paying attention to our table. The tea was piping hot and I enjoyed that as it wasnt as flavorful as other teas Ive had in Chinese establishments but I dont enjoy tea that much to return.CASH ONLY!
I love that it was vegetarian, no risk ordering anything and accidentally getting meat! My wife is vegetarian so she really appreciated that. Also the portions are huge, one person really only needs 2 plates or two can share 3 plates. Most plates are around $4 too making this very cheap. Also they are CASH ONLY so make sure to stop by the ATM first.
Excellent food!!! We go there once a year with friends for our annual get-together. Dim sum is amazing - love the sticky rice. There is always so much food for all of us and we get full. Family style is the best way to do this. The prices are quite reasonable and the company is great. You can also go there by yourself and the food is worth the trek. Even if you dont know Chinese, you can always point to the pictures. Definitely check it out!
Staff is friendly and very attentive. However the dim sum isnt so good- undercooked and rushed. The soup and rice selections are tasty though. CASH ONLY! Remember this, at least 3 patrons didnt have cash and one even tried to pay with a check 😂 Theres a sign that tells you as soon as you step in
I only ordered the dim sum. Im not a vegetarian but do eat lots of vegetables. In the past when Ive visited Chinese vegetarian places, I found that the dishes were heavily seasoned with MSG which made me very thirsty and gave me pounding headaches. Ive learned to taste when there is added MSG. I was happy that the dim sum I ordered did not have any and found the food to still be very tasty without flavor enhancement from MSG. The place is a small cozy hole in the wall type establishment. Its not fancy. The service was also prompt and courteous. I will update my review when I return to try the other dishes.
Terrible service. Unfriendly wait staff, forgot a dish and made us wait 30 minutes for it. Didnt say before that they are cash only, we had to go to an ATM. Food was very bland, oily, and unappealing. When we left a 10% tip (because of the subpar service) they wouldnt let us leave and said there is a mandatory 15% minimum. Very unpleasant experience, will never go back. There are other vegetarian Chinese restaurants very close by, which are much better.
Among my favorite restaurants for many years. While the name may emphasize their excellent dim sum, they in fact have a full menu besides. Those with dietary sensitivities and restrictions can be reassured to know that the substitutes for meats used here include a wide range as developed by Chinese vegetarians over centuries, so that there are delicious options for most people.
This place was totally gross. Grody dated decor, giant water stains across the ceilings and walls, carpet that is older than I am. The menu is littered with mock meat, which is unappetizing at best. Several dishes boast shark fin, which is both illegal and horrifying. Dumplings are heavy and full of gluten. Be prepared to leave too full yet dissatisfied. The service is downright rude and unhelpful. Ive been to dozens of holes in the wall with excellent food; I dont need an Americanized environment to feel safe. Nonetheless this place is foul.
This is my favorite vegetarian restaurant in Manhattan. I have been eating here for decades. The food is delicious and the service is excellent. The owner, Chung, is a great guy whom Ive known all these many years. He is a remarkable person: to ensure the restaurants ongoing high quality, he puts in 15 hour days, 7 days a week. If I had his stamina, Id consider running for President of the United States. It has become obvious, after all, that no qualifications of merit, other than stamina, are required. On second thought, the ability to lie with a straight face is another required qualification, so I have to admit I am unqualified.
Vegetarian Dim sum and dumplings. We liked the dumplings quite a bit. Many of the Dim sum dishes were deep fried. I would stay away from those. Outside of that, this place is cash only, old and tired looking. Also the servers do not understand a whole lot of English or can even speak English very well so communication may be a bit challenging for non Chinese speakers.
Wide variety of choices, specially compared to simular dim sum locations. my order with noodle, the noodle was very dry, I really didnt enjoy it. I have to try a few other dishes and I need to go there with someone who can explain me the dishes. The fork they gave me was bent, it was annoying to eat with it.Green tea was Ok.Overall I didnt have a good experience there.
Best Chinese food in Chinatown...pure vegetarian that is. Get the following and your non-veg friend will be happy too: Deep fried crescents, Vegetarian duck, Pan-fried noodles with sang Ken and peppers. Oh, the Hot n Sour soup is amazing!Cash only, but prices are very low. Share, share, share!Mmmmmmm, I’m getting hungry thinking about it.
The interior is somewhat bland, like the rec room in someones basement. But the vegetarian dim sum is good, filling and economical.I recommend sticking to the menu items on the small cards you check off with little wooden pencils, like a Putt Putt golf game gone restaurant. If you dont know what youre ordering, preview the menu online to get an idea, go with previous guests, or ask a neighboring table whats good. Most people will offer a recommendation. The dumpling exteriors are doughy, but the fillings are good and vegetarian. I recommend the mock pork, sesame paste, spinach and watercress buns. Adventure from there. The lotus is good, the mock shark fin odd but tasty, and the mock duck is more like thin transparent strips than chunks of seitan you might find in a Thai restaurant. The dim sum tends to be served in three portions, so go in groups of three to make dividing pieces easier. You can order a little for starters, and order more later as you find your way through the menu, so dont feel like you have to order everything at once.Service may not be overly friendly, but is quick and the food delivered as its prepared, so dig in when it comes to your table and dont wait.
The restaurant is depressing, with out-of-date decor, vile bathrooms and the climate control was a disaster... we were freezing for our entire meal. In addition, the staff can only be described as ‘surly’ as they didn’t welcome us upon arrival or say thank you upon our departure. The food itself was fine but forgettable. To the owners: please renovate the place, get the climate control right and train your staff in the art of customer service!
I had their hot and sour soup with spinach dumplings. Both were delicious. I unfortunately didn’t realize that they only accept cash. Thankfully I had enough to cover my meal but felt really bad since I didn’t have enough for a tip. I was going to find an ATM but after my server blatantly told staff members in her language that I was not giving a tip, went to the front to handle the transaction and passed by me with the stare of death on her face with nothing to say to me...yep I’m just going to get up and go. Too bad..food was good..service was not.
We went late on a Wednesday but the staff made it seem like we were inconveniencing them by being there, even though there were several tables just starting their meal. We grabbed spinach dumplings and friend dumplings along with fruit juice, though the juice was the only good part. I had the kiwi juice which was super fresh and tart, but the dumplings had unidentifiable fillings and were kind of bland.
Lots of vegetarian dishes. Came to order a bbq mock pork with brown rice, and dim sum dish of rice sheets with mock ham. Dim sum was great. But the bbq pork is just fried gluten with a sauce on it. The sauce is tasty but the gluten is very bland. In total costs $15, on the expensive side for what I got. Would come again for vegetarian dim sum tho.
Vegetarian but your tastebuds wont be sorry if you are a carnivore. Large menu of classic Chinese dishes like lemon mock chicken made with yam, orgreens or gluten andand assorted dim sum menu with great yam cakes. This place is so good I have seen many times buddhist monks eating here. Small and cozy and great prices and you will end up sharing your dishes and leave with a comforted tummy.
Disgusting food. The fried dumplings arrived ice cold inside and after complaining they just put them in the microwave - the whole thing was a soggy mess. The fried wonton and spring rolls have probably been fried in very old oil since they were greasy and gross. On top of this, very rude service.
Decor was basic but what stood out for me that i would not come back is the food. Dumplings just seemed very doughy to me and the vegetarian dishes were just bland with no flavor and very gummy. Especially the stir fried dishes. The knife skills for the ingredients as well was way off either super huge chunks or no filling at all that didnt suit my palate.
I love the mock shrimps dumplings here! It looks and tastes like the real dish at other chinese Restaurants!I tend to go to their sister restaurant on mott street but when I want vegetarian dim sum dishes, I come here. I love how they make it fresh bc we check it and then they make it.
This place has been in business for decades, so they must be doing something right. Its very dark and old-fashioned inside. You could be eating in the 60s. I got some take out mixed vegetable lo mein for my mom and it was very mediocre. The menu was confusing because there are three versions of this dish on it.
Went here in october 15. The bao zi were cracked on the top like they had been over microwaved after being frozen and definitely were not handmade. Dough became super hard after a minute. The other dish claimed to be fake ham and veggies wrapped in rice flour and it was a few super super salty slices and a sad lonely strip of cilantro. Disgusting, and I can definitely find better frozen food (and also reheat it better). Maybe if youre not chinese, this is good, but if you are chinese, dont come here.
Food was oily and bland. Service was the worst I’ve ever had (and I’m from England so I’m used to reluctant service)... despite the fact that the place was empty. Trying to order, ask questions or pay was like pulling teeth. I wish the food made up for that but everything was disappointing. Then after paying the server had the nerve to ran out and claim we didn’t tip enough and wouldn’t let us leave until we gave more... funny how all of the sudden the server was awake! I’m an extremely disappointed vegetarian right now
Horrible service. They took my order and after more than an hour it was still not delivered. I called and they told me that there was no delivery that day because the delivery person was not available. I asked why didnt they tell me or text me. They had no answer. skip it.

2022-04-16This place has been hit by the current environment. Its not like it used to be. The dishes look the same but now lack flavor due to the use of some frozen ingredients. They do have a large menu with many dishes. Its all vegetarian plus many items that might appeal to the rest of your group. I ordered some spring rolls, wonton soup, crispy stir fried noodles with curd and eggplant on spicy black bean sauce. Hopefully when things improve they go back to their regular form.

2022-03-26In from out of town and so glad we found this place. I find the bad reviews interesting, as some of them come from ignorance of the cuisine, and some just expecting a five star experience from a hole in the wall dim sum joint. The food was great. Got the pork buns, pan fried dumplings, and sweet and sour. The staff was kind and we left full with leftovers!!

2021-12-14Interesting place with all vegetarian and vegan food. Good food experience overall. Some of the dim sum were a bit on the bland side, the rice and fried noodle dishes on the other hand very good and tasty. The place looks a bit cheap, and uses paper plates and plastic forks. Good prices.

2022-05-30Best vegetarian place in the city!!! Had the most delicious soy chicken curry for a reasonable price (especially for nyc!!!). In addition to being served by the cutest waitress :)Can highly recommend this place!

2022-02-02Worst Chinese restaurant I went. I dont understand the good reviews. Maybe its trendy to eat + $15 tasteless dish in paper plates and plastic forks? We had a taste less hot & sour soup. 2 dumplings but we canceled the one with a big thick hair on top. Not very reinsuring for the global hygiene, even though it match with the restaurant look and floor, especially with the current pandemic. The last dumpling dish had an overcooked super sticky dough, that make an awful texture. The fillings was just OK to eat with soy sauce. The welcoming is not better than the food by the way. Dont go there.

2021-09-19Was really pleased with the quality of the dim sum here. Especially liked the mushroom rice rolls and the bean curd rolls. The bbq pork also does not disappoint! Three stars because they used so many single-use plastic items. Definitely can be more environmentally friendly.

2022-06-11Great food! Loved the Napa Roll though did not expect it to be dried. It’s sauce was perfect for dipping other things since some of the food were on the blander side. Rice flour roll, sweet and salty dumplings were good. Not much description of the dim sum items so prepare to Google search or just be adventurous.

2022-06-14Just ate here, unfortunately. We got the “fake shrimp soup dumplings”, “fake pork buns”, and “mushrooms with bamboo shoots in garlic sauce”. Not making fun of veggie options — this is how it’s written on the menu. The “soup dumplings” were not soup dumplings and were not good. Bland and dry. The buns were not steamed properly and were also bland/tasteless. The mushroom dish was mostly broccoli and the sauce was not very good. After all this, I was ready to walk away thinking that it was just a bad food experience, but then while finishing our drinks, we heard RATS running across the ceiling. Revolting.Absolutely never going again. Avoid this place.

2022-02-24We’ve only ordered two things from this place: the spinach dumplings and the vegetarian deep fried crescents. They are both phenomenal, my family keeps coming back for them. Highly recommend.
