I was searching like crazy for the perfect nail salon. I’ve had so many bad experiences I really needed to find a good one. Then I came across the Venetian nail spa and wow I had a great experience! Probably one of the best. The minute you walk through the door you are greeted and everyone was friendly. My nail lady was amazing and extremely thorough. Heads up if you go here make an appointment because most likely if you come in as a walk in they will be booked.
I went to this place for the first time about a month ago. Very nice but even with an appointment I had to wait almost a half hour for my pedicure. Pedicure was fine and I really needed my nails done so I made an appointment to go in the next day. Waited about 20 minutes this time but my nails came out great and they even did my daughters nails for 5 bucks. So I decided to go back to get my nails done again. Went in a week ago and they squeezed me in towards the end of the night. The woman they gave me was very nice but you could tell she had never done ANC before. My nails actually didn’t look bad when I left though so I was fairly satisfied. Fast forward to one week later and the ANC is peeling off of my nails. That has never happened before with any place I have ever been to. I paid $40.00 and a $5.00 tip and my nails barely lasted a week. Totally unacceptable. Very unhappy with the last service
You get QUALITY work when you come here for a reasonable price. I am from NYC and had a hard time finding a good nail salon my whole college career, so sad I didnt discover this salon sooner. Place is usually packed as soon as they open so I do recommend making an appointment. They have a wide range of ANC colors to choose from. They only reason I dont give them 5 stars is because they treat their usual customers with a friendlier/ more cheerful attitude (and everyone should receive that cheerfulness when they walk in the door). Not that theyre rude, however everyone spending money should receive the same cheerful attitude.
I struggle to find nail technicians that don’t make my nails bumpy, uneven or thick but Lynn did amazing. She’s hilarious and looks out for the health of your nails not just making the bill add up quickly. I 100% recommend Venetian Nails. A lot of horrible accusations have been said but i highly disagree
Great pedicure! I am really picky about where I get my toes done. More that half the time I am felt like I could have done a better job myself, FOR FREE. Not this guys! Reasonable prices, super clean salon and a wide range of colors. Nothing to complain about!!
I have stopped into the nail salon on several occasions and only had excellent service and nails. This time was much different. Coco, did my nails and although she did a good job, she did not follow the nail DESIGN I wanted and just painted my nails as she saw fit. 😡😠 Her response to me wad next time I can do that for you. Sorry Coco, but you will not be doing my nails especially IF I come back.Not happy with todays service. ALSO, prices are not posted, I paid $30 for what I thought was gel with a design and it was done wrong and they still charge me $30. What the heck!!! Dont go here or dont get Coco.
My experience was excellent. I had a pedicure/callus remover and today my feet feel as good as they did when I left the Salon. My nail cuticles are clean! I didnt have any polish put on because it is winter and I like to have my nails breathe. Dominique was great! Thank you!!
I went and got my nails done here the other day and had a bad experience with the staff and overall nail work. My nails are all crooked, pointed to the side, misshapen, and/or overly flat. I paid $43 for this and have very little time to do nice fun things for myself so I’m incredibly disappointed at the level of work done for what I paid. Further the staff didn’t really seem interested in listening to me as I explained, at least 7 times, that I wanted a two tone ANC, with the tips being a different color. They charged me extra for this, which is fine, but didn’t actually do it. I stopped the nail tech several times to explain I thought there was an issue and he continued working saying he knew what I wanted. After he finished my nails a second nail tech came over and asked why I didn’t tell him about the tips during the ANC process. I told her I did tell him; and she told me to calm down. I was not being overly aggressive, and think I was pretty reasonable with them. To “fix” the situation she painted silver tips on to my nails. These tips are all again uneven and look horrible. At this point I was just ready to leave so I accepted it paid and left. I will not ever go back again.
Paid $36 for a pedicure...nails were cut crooked and the polish job is horrible. Some nails are not completely covered in polish and some needed an extra coat because you can still see the nail. They seemed put out by any requests so couldnt even bring it up at the time due to the poor attitude even though I still tipped well. Ive been to nail salons here that are much less fancy but at least they do an immaculate job on your nails and for cheaper...this wasnt worth it at all. Disappointed because its really hard to find time to do anything for myself and this was a total waste of time and money.
I have been in customer service for over 30 years. I also was a business owner and to me taking pride in what you do says a lot. I was beyond disgusted and baffled at how the owner Dan handled me when I called and complained that I didn’t like my nails. The girl who did my nails is Lynn and I was going overseas to visit my husband. All I wanted was my nails to match my toes and look natural. I was so disappointed in how thick and hideous they turned out not to mention she makes the appointment and is always an hour late. She charges for everything she does honestly I’m happy to pay for a good job but that it wasn’t and she charged to take off my anc she charged to shape the nails and she chargers extra if there long. She decided to mix some powders so they could match my toes and needless to say mission was not accomplished. I paid and I don’t like to complain but damn it why shouldn’t I if they looked like thick Chicken nails? So I call Lynn the next day and told her how I felt and she told me to return so she could make them look better. Well when I did she sends her boss Dan the owner who employees people who don’t even speak English to tell me I will be charged again because he’s wasting products. Then he switches his story and says after I refused to pay since I just paid the day before he says she doesn’t want you to come back! I laughed and told him he never had to worry about me ever coming back. I also wanted a refund and got a partial refund. I was disgusted with there lack of care and concern. May karma come back for you And you lose more customers when they too realize to them your just a number and you could give a damn about making a customer feel like they matter. ✌🏽 Your pedicure sucked I felt like a 4 year old tickled me and his Elvis hair style and look needs to hire people who you can communicate with and make them understand what you would like done. Never again will I go to that hole in the wall. Trust me word of mouth is your best advertisement and I promise you I will tell everyone how horrible you treat people. I’m putting this on any and all reviews for your salon.
My favorite nail salon in Albany! I spent years looking for the best place to get ANC in the Capital Region and Venetian Nails are friendly, professional, and my nails always turn out how I want them to!
I read the reviews and was excited to stop in. I took my best friend with me and we will both never go back. I went in for ANC and my friend for a manicure - WHAT A MESS. I was helped by three different women, all of which seemed to hate their job. The last girl who attempted to do my nails filed the nop on my nails so low, that today, exactly 3 weeks later, my finger nails are still purple. I was in tons of pain from the filing and simply ended up getting a regular manicure because I couldnt take it any longer. The gentlemen there seemed to know what they were doing but the women were just terrible! I do NOT recommend.

Ive heard nothing but amazing things about this place so I went. I got a fill and they did a good job but they charge you based on what they think you can pay. The girl next to me had a fill just like me and they charged her $25 while they charged me $35. Also, one of my nails was crooked so it wasnt worth $35. Every other nail place Ive been to has prices on the wall and a fill is no more than $20. As soon as I walked in I noticed the only prices they had were for pedicures and not nails. So I knew something was up. Its not fair and its a shame that they charge you based on what they think you can pay. Probably wont be back.
Keke is one of the worst artist at the salon. My tips were not blended, and she cut off half the length I asked for. The shapes are all completely different, and are all crooked and lean. The ANC is thin, the only thing i enjoy about my new set is the color. I will not be returning to this salon. $45 for the worst set i’ve had in over 2+ years. Do not ask for Keke.

Linh is amazing! I never really write reviews but I felt I had to. Usually with any nail place I can point out something wrong with my nails. But here I don’t need to. Everyone here is nice and listens to what you want!💅🏼
My daughter went here to get her prom nails done they day before prom. We had 115 appt for pedicure and anc nails . Didnt leave there u til 4 pm . The pedicure she didnt do anything but soak her feet and paint them and did a design my daughter said she didnt like . When you tried to tell the employee she didnt like it ,she keep saying oh its fine its fine shell be fine. My daughter didnt want to argue with so she let it go . NOW the nails! We literally spent 2 hrs on the shortest and thinnest anc nails Ive ever seen (explains why one broke when we left not even 2hrs after getting them done ) French white lines are not straight. I asked for a refund and the receptionist was so rude saying they dont give refunds WERE disgusting. I ask to speak to a manager and he left . So Ive been trying for a week to get a hold of the manager and they keep saying hes not in ! What great customer service ! If this wasnt for her prom I would have said forget it and left. BUT THIS WAS HER PROM AND SHE WAS NOT HAPPY AND HAD TO GO WITH ONE MISSING NAIL !HORRIBLE JOBHORRIBLE HORRIBLEEEEE CUSTOMER SERVICE
I have gone to Venetian for about 3 years and they never fail to impress! Every artist I’ve gotten has been amazing, especially KiKi and Henry!
The cleanest place I have ever been to! The last person to do my eyebrows, completely messed up & I was so upset. I was scared to try a new place because of that reason but I’m so glad I gave them a chance! She TRANSFORMED my eyebrows. I have to let one of my eyebrows grow out still because of how messed up it was but I’m definitely coming here for now on. I left her a $10 tip & the look on her face just showed she doesn’t get tipped that well which is disappointing because of how good she is! I’m so impressed!
The only nail salon i go to. soooo amazing. if i go anywhere else it never compares to venetian. ive been going here for probably 2 1/2 years now and it so beautifully decorated and so clean. everyone is so nice and does an amazing job. they dont stop until you’re nails are perfect (i get anc w tips)
My nails turned out inconsistent and patchy but last time I went, whoever did my nails did a good job. I’m not recommending this place anymore. They take too long and charge too much for the quality.
I have visited MANY nail salons in the Capital District area. The only one I have ever recommended is Venetian. Amazing staff and service is top notch. Go with a relaxing pedicure and then ANC. You wont be sorry!
I agree with the prices changing and not on the wall . I went there a few months ago and was charged 25 for ANC went last night and was charged 40. I have always had men and the service was great I had a women last night and she was rude and seemed to hate her job. Makes me think of the Orange is the new Black episode where they asked the women if she was being held against her will lol. Also the women seem to speak amongst them selves in Vietnamese while the men speak English which makes it for a much better experience not impressed at all at my last visit. Will consider some place else for next time.
I’ve been to many different salons and am often disappointed. I am always extremely happy with my nails here, especially when done by Linh. Salon is clean and friendly.

First, their phone number doesn’t work. Secondly, when messaging, no one responds in a timely manner. Which results in them expecting you to show up in 15 minutes with no fair warning. Im not sure where the disconnect is but professionalism lacks highly here.
Ive gone at time with a few patrons and then times when its packed. Ive had the best care and service, and felt staff were very professional. I like salon its clean and modern.The prices seem reasonable.
30 minute A & C terrible quality. The tech didnt make my nails even. Theres bumps on the polish. Its just bad.
Went as a party of four, Two of the four of us got anc and the nails were left with a bumpy finish and no shine, also within 3 days two of our nails broke and chipped, the other two had gel and did not apply enough coats so the color was transparent instead of solid, workers were pleasant but inexperienced.
Great relaxing environment, everyone is pleasant and my technician does a great job. I had an ANC manicure and gel cucumber pedi.
A guy did my manicure and pedicure. He used a metal grater on my heals and pressed too light to do anything. He didnt remove my cuticles. Overall marginal job in every aspect.

2022-07-03Iris does my nails and I cannot say enough great things about her. I show her a picture and she recreates it perfectly. I get ANC with tips and usually some sort of ombre. She not only does perfect nails but she does it quickly and is always asking if I like them. She cares. Been getting nails done for 20 years. Shes a pro. Never thick or sloppy and always filed to perfection. She also does an awesome pedicure. Thank you Iris|!! I appreciate you!! Keep up the good work.

2021-06-08My mom, sister and I all got anc dip powder manicures for my sisters wedding. All three of us get anc manicures on a consistent basis from other nail spas and it lasts 3-4 weeks before it cracks or chips. After my anc manicure here I had one nail crack the next day and now a week later all three of us have multiple nails cracked and chipped. We are all very disappointed with the quality. We had appointments however it was over booked and service was rushed and the quality shows.

2021-02-08I had MULTIPLE bad experiences here spanning a timeframe from their grand opening to February 5th 2020... if I were to detail everything it would take 10 pages but Ill try to summarize. If I had tips with ANC they popped off after 3 days on numerous occassions. I would make appointments weeks in advance and the nail artists including the owner were always late or I would not get the artist requested. The staff was notoriously uncomfortable to be around and often argued with each other or with the owner. On one specific occassion an employee had yelled at the owner that they had no been paid and when would she get her money. I truly believed the nail artists were talented so I went back more times than deserved in hopes I would get the quality nails so often hyped that come out of this salon. In addition I felt there were no other salons that could deliver what I was looking for --- and I did finally find a great spot on Wolf Rd. Naild It. Venetian may have some latent talent but it is overhyped, overrated, poorly managed, and consistently underdelivers or does not create the nail color or shape requested. If a customer is making appointments weeks in advance and going to you for special occassions and even SPECIFIES in advance what they want then that time should be accomodated. Do not have artists come in hungover either! If any of the staff would like detailed accounts and dates of my individual experiences here I would be more than happy to provide them. I am a huge patron of local business and support multiple lash artists, nail techs, esthitians and makeup artists in the area. And I can genuinely honestly say this is the ONLY bad review I have ever given but I felt it needed to be done. Its amazing after others have shared their negative experiences here that this salon still is decently rated. Hopefully since last February they have made appropriate changes in their managment and in their customer service.

2020-01-22Wow, pleasant man giving me pedicure now. He has very gentle yet strong hands. Most other nail salons in the area hurt me when they clip my cuticle or nails. He is very gentle yet thorough. Great experience. I can see why they get good reviews!

2019-09-03I got my nails done at Venetian for the first time today and was VERY impressed. Jenny did an ANC removal, reapply and a pedicure for me. She was fabulous!!! The shape of the ANC was perfect and they were the perfect thickness (sturdy, but very very natural looking). She also did a great job with my French pedicure. It was easy to make an appointment and they got me in quickly. The inside of the salon was clean and didn’t have a nail polish smell. They had lots of options for colors also. I will definitely return!! I’ve tried a lot of nail salons in the area and this is by far the best place I’ve gone to!! Thank you Jenny for my beautiful nails!!
