We were pleased with how efficient the pick-up crew was and then happy to see Steve and his crew arrive at our new home with everything that had been in storage for several weeks.Delivery was terrific, boxes in garage and furniture in appropriate places. And, nothing was damaged or broken!We had a great moving experience with Verity and would highly recommend them.
Quick, thorough and super friendly movers. Everyone was awesome, from Jen in the office to Jason, Chris, Tim and James. They took care with our furniture and took the time to place things where we wanted. Definitely glad we went with Verity, they made it seems so easy.

Verity Van Lines did an absolutely amazing job for me and my Aunt. They were totally professional from the estimate to the packaging, then to loading and unloading. I was quite anxious to move for the first time in 23 years!! Andrew was so professional and was in charge of my move in NY and SC. His crew worked well with him and everything was packed and delivered perfectly!! There were no horrible additional charges either… the price was pretty close to the estimate from Sal. I would use this company again and highly recommend them as well!!

I cant even describe the words of the professionalism and courtesy that Mike and Kyle had this morning while moving my full house of furniture onto the truck. From the first estimate with Sal this entire company has showed me nothing but decency and respect which is longed for in a lot of companies today. Thanks to Verity for doing a great job with our move! Rob in the office was very easy to deal with in setting up the logistics such as inventory , dates and time. The movers Frank, Jerry and Kevin also did a fantastic job of moving our belongings with efficiency and without damage. All were very respectful and polite.

Our move from Glen Cove to Tennessee required two stages: the first to move part of our furniture and household goods into storage to allow for some improvements prior to listing the house, and the second to move our remaining possessions to our new home in TN. The first stage took place in July and was very orderly and smooth, because we were organized and unrushed. The second stage was more frantic, as it was right after Christmas, and we were not as well prepared. Joe realized early on that we were not ready to move, so he called in reinforcements and everything was on the truck and off the property by about 5:00.Joe and his crew arrived at our TN house nine days later and started unloading. It was a herculean effort, but everything made it off the truck by sundown. The only things that I have found broken were packed by us, not by the Verity team. Here we are, two weeks later, most of the boxes have been emptied, and were settling in.Sal explained the moving process very well initially, gave me good advice when I decided to transport my car rather than drive alone, and was accomodating when I learned we had to move two days after Christmas. Joe and his team did a great job getting our belongings out of our Glen Cove house and into our TN house intact and on time.Sal, Joe, and the entire Verity team were professional and responsive. I would endorse this company to anyone who is planning a move, especially an 800-mile one such as we just had.

We recently relocated to Georgia and used Verity for the move. We had a great experience planning and scheduling the move with Sal. Sam and his team were great from beginning to end. We hired Verity for an out of state move, NY to NC. Price was great, receptionist is nasty, our driver/mover Andrew was fantastic, poor communication with company throughout the process and Sal who did our estimate told us a few things that were untrue, he just said what we wanted to hear. Our delivery did not fall within our guaranteed delivery window. One of our couches was damaged. Things happen, but putting in a claim is near impossible, as it is done entirely by mail, requires a notary and appears to be an extremely lengthy process. Seems to be a way to disuade people from filing them.
We recently move to a different state, this company was great all the way through. Estimate was almost the same as final price, the people that helped us move were fantastic. Everything came intact and on time. Would recommend 110%.
Rob and Joe were wonderful . They were true professionals and handled our move wonderfully. From the pick up to the delivery they showed up on time and were in contact with us. I highly recommend them and would not hesitate to use them again!!!
EXCELLENT- we are very pleased with Verity Van Lines - from the first visit for an Estimate with Sal P. - who gave us an Estimate that was almost exact for the actual cost - Andrew ( the driver ) & his crew picked up ON scheduled TIME- and were courteous, efficient & careful- our scheduled delivery date had to be changed & They were so helpful & accommodating! We would highly recommend them - especially to our friends & family!
From start to finish Verity was there for us. They answered all of our questions, were careful and professional with our belongings and even got them to us in Florida quicker than expected. Overall they did an outstanding job!
We’re moved from NYC to Florida, I don’t know why recommended this company to my husband anyway I’m the person who’s did pack all stuff we belong to the boxes and I remember which boxes is because I wrote what inside put on top of a boxes. When the company delivered boxes to new house I tried to open every boxes on next day and I very sure that we lost a boxes of canned food. It’s not in company box that’s why I remember. I tried to contact them back, leave a message to the guy who’s driving a truck even call to the company but they never got back to us. Almost a month that we moved but they never contact us back !!!** very low responsibility **** unprofessional **** don’t used this moving company **
From our consult to our moving day, Verity Van Lines was nothing but amazing! They responded to emails in a timely manner and were punctual the day of our move. I was shocked that they were able to move us from one location to the next in 5 hours! This included packing the van with all of our furniture and unpacking and removing furniture in our new home. Rob, Anthony, and the Gorilla were professional, safe, and careful while moving all of our possessions. My husband and I didn’t have to lift a finger. We will gladly recommend Verity Van Lines to all who need moving services.
Sal booked our trip and was very informative about what to expect from the move--he itemized things that were going and explained the costs to us. Ours was a sudden move and Sal was able to get us moved in a timely manner--which was a big relief to us. He really came though for us. Gino was our driver and he was great. He had a terrific personality and was very efficient in helping us move. He helped us with what was a stressful move in Amityville. He was helpful and his team assisted me in packing several things. Furniture was wrapped and packed appropriately. Gino arrived ahead of scheduled time in Charlotte and once again he and his team unpack everything in an efficient and proficient manner. He told us to contact him if we needed any type of help moving things around the house. I would highly recommend the Verity Van moving company.
Moving is stressful, and these guys took away all that stress! There was a minor speed bump over the charges which were quickly resolved. Other than that, the crew that was sent was extremely helpful, asking questions all the way about what we wanted. The were neat and respectful of our property. This is our second move with Verity and definitely are happy with our choice. We thought that the price was reasonable for the level of service that we received.

From the first meeting with Mike to the very last box delivered to our new house, Verity Van lines made our move the best it could be. Mikes wisdom about packing things up, plus his true empathy about the emotional difficulty this move meant to us, combined to make the very best of the situation. And his employees obviously feel respected as each one of them worked tirelessly...and with humor!...during really hot weather in New York and then in Raleigh, North Carolina.They delivered everything in perfect condition. Nice.During the months of planning and the actual moving, Mike was always readily available to answer any and all questions as we went into uncharted waters for us. A company is only as good as its associates. Everyone at Verity has been a pleasure to work with, including Sal and Theresa.Paul and his WONDERFUL team moved us out of our home back in March and our furniture and belongings were stored for us until our new home was ready for move in. We were so nervous since this is the first time weve moved in over 40 years. We were in great hands. Paul and his team ensured everything went smoothly. Fast forward to August and Paul and his team once again delivered an experience that was second to none. Everything came out of storage exactly the way it went in. Paul and his team, again, delivered a perfect experience. They moved larger pieces of furniture up staircases and through narrow doorways. No damage to furniture, walls or doorways. Miraculous! More importantly, Paul and his team were friendly, caring, reassuring and true gentlemen. They made a very stressful move very easy for us. The best!
Verity Van lines did a wonderful job in moving me from my home on Long Island, NY to my new home in West Chester, PA. From my initial contact with Sal to my move with Frank and his crew I felt I was in capable hands. My move went smoothly throughout. I was very pleased with all aspects and would highly recommend Verity. I am so happy I chose them.
All phone correspondence was met with professionalism and friendly reassurance. The move went flawlessly. The three gentlemen who handled the physical move were polite, fun, and certainly qualified. I was at ease the moment they arrived and everything went quite well in a timely fashion. I’m very appreciative as I’ve moved many times in the past and never had as good an experience as I did with Verity.
Very quick/painless move. Had the house packed in 3 hours and unpacked in about the same (4 bed/2bath). Maintained safe floor protocols to protect the new wood floor. Suggestion would be to have your move consultant and head mover evaluate your property together to ensure everyone is on the same page regarding large items. Also be prepared to buy lunch (even if you planned on it already) for the crew as they will ask you for it. All and all a smooth move and would recommend them.
Sal was excellent at giving a Higher estimate of the job which is good so that you really know the maximum cost. He also answered all questions for someone who hasnt moved for 50 years.The team led by Steve, with Eric was superb. I cannot say enough GOOd things about them. They are professionals re the job. They are great communicators and try to honor your requests re the time of delivery. They accommodate requests on moving and placing things and allow you to unpack the wardrobes so that they can remove them.Steve is an excellent driver of a 78ft truck. He was able to back it down a windy street that is .2 of a mile.
We just moved from Long Island, NY to Florida. We used Verity and are extremely happy that we did. They weren’t the cheapest, or most expensive, we went with the company that has a great reputation. Great experience with Verity. Andrew was in charge of the move, and he and his partner took care in packing my stuff on the truck. They were in communication and available if needed. They also did great delivering my stuff down to North Carolina and unpacking it, and putting items where they went. Everyone I had contact with at Verity was friendly and professional.

Just wanted to compliment everyone at Verity Movers for the great job they did moving us from Long Island to Charlotte North Carolina. The owner Michael met with us and explained everything from prices to packing options. The packers did a great job with our mirrors, paintings and furniture. The moving crew was also a fantastic team of young men who worked all day loading and then unloading on a hot summer week. The never complained once about the job and were very gentle with our stuff. Cant recommend them enough to anyone needing a moving company!
First dealing with Sal to organize my move was a fabulous experience. He was very helpful and pleasant. Then for my move Dennis and the team were excellent. I had a great experience with Verity Van Lines and Rob and Mike. Rob always responded when I had questions prior to moving and Mike was awesome with the actual move. When they said a time, they meant it. Everything went smoothly. The ONLY reason for the 4 stars is that one of my boxes must have gotten wet somewhere along the way and the contents were transferred to another box. It had in it some sentimental childhood things that were ruined, but it could have been worse and I still highly recommend them. I know things can happen with a long move. I guess I wish I was told about the situation before finding out on my own. I would still use them again and highly recommend them.
Our move was happily uneventful with no glitches. They were extremely careful wrapping and moving delicate furniture.

They ALL worked as a team! Nicole was with us in NY. She is very professional, efficient & friendly! They all helped us with some last minute packing. When we forgot 2 boxes, they came back & brought it back to the moving truck.Joe called us when he was on his way to Fl & called us again when he arrived. He assured us everything was safe with him. In preparation for our upcoming move, we asked Verity to remove some pieces of furniture to be held in their storage facility. Victor and Ariel arrived on time and went to work immediately. My husband and I were impressed with their speed and handling of all our items. It was refreshing to watch them move through this initial point in our move. We could not have been more pleased with our experience so far. We hope Victor and Ariel will be available to complete our move in a couple of months.
From start to finish, my experience with Verity Van LInes was excellent. Their salesman, Rob was extremely organized and accurate with my estimate and the movers, especially the driver, Joe were excellent. Joe was arrived exactly on time and everything went very smooth. It was a great experience for my daughter’s first move. We will be using them again at the end of the month for our move.
We had an out-of-state move from New York to Tennessee. From start to finish our moving experience with Verity Van Lines was very professional. We trusted them completely with the move. Our move went smoothly as scheduled and our furniture and possessions were delivered safely as promised near the date agreed. Estimate was very accurate and crew was always on time and courteous.
From the first telephone call to set up the move to the delivery out of state, this was the best experience I have ever had with an organization! Rob Johnson helped me organize this move that was a little complex. There was a delivery of a formal dining room set to another town, pack up furniture and boxes for storage to be moved to Florida later in the year, and the final move to Pennsylvania. Chris was the field manager for the first leg of the trip. Tim, Victor, Sean and Ariel were professional, courteous, and perfect in every respect. While it was the first day of a heatwave, they had their face masks on the entire time. When I mentioned to Chris that I was concerned that the leather sofa “may not” fit through the doorway in PA, right away he disassembled the couch and eased my mind! Chris and Tim were great, and the next day they arrrived in Pennsylvania at 7 am sharp. The furniture was set up and reassembled in each room, and they made sure everything was in working order before they left. I am sure the final trip to Florida will be just as easy with Victor as the field manager, and I have no concerns that my possessions will be handled in the same manner. Thank you ALL for making one part of the move smooth and easy. Kudos to the woman who handled the billing and telephone updates, sorry I didn’t write down your name!
I highly recommend Verity. From meeting Sal for the estimate to having a great team of guys (Frank, Jerry and Al) on move day, things went smoothly and efficiently. The guys were extremely careful with our belongings and went above and beyond to make sure that they didnt scuff up our newly painted walls or hardwood floors. I cannot recommend them enough.
My price was very fair ! My salesman Rob was extremely responsive, i called everyday and he always called me back and always helped out. The movers came early so I was not prepared but they were so patient with me and my family. Nothing broke, every box was handled carefully. They tried their best to put furniture in rooms that they knew it wasn’t going to work just to try and make me happy. They were friendly and worked well together. I would recommend completely!! Thank you Rob, Anthony, Rob and Ariel. I’m never moving again but I will for sure tell my friends and family about Verity.
After having numerous companies coming for estimates I knew right away Verity was the winner. Rob was awesome and made the process a lot less stressful. He was very easy to get in touch with when I had to make any changes. Paul went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and confident that the move was going to go smooth. He was super professional and nice. I was extremely happy with how Paul and his crew did everything. They made my move more enjoyable and more exciting. The entire company showed patience with our move right in the middle of the Corona pandemic. Rob our sales rep was very professional, considerate of our needs and was honest and upfront about all of the details. Dennis, the moving supervisor, was very polite, friendly and professional. My furniture was at a storage facility, which you picked up and was a good experience. We then went to Florida. The crew was very nice, the delivery went well about 3hours. The crew was professional, and I would recommend them to anyone.
Beware! These are not professional movers. They sent me college age kids. They didnt care about my valuables. They stacked all my boxes in the truck from the floor to the roof causing the bottom boxes to crush and break what was in them. If you value your belongings, hire a moving company that has professional movers not kids. After a relative of mine seen my boxes and the way they were loaded, he hired a different company. Be careful.
We recently moved over 300 miles away in NY and I have to tell you just how amazing this company was--from the quote to the move-in. Absolutely flawless, on-time, friendly, responsible, efficient and very fairly priced. Highly recommend Verity. You can trust them and their phenomenal crew to do right by you. I even met the owner while picking up boxes--he helped me load them into my car! You can tell why the company is exceptional.
Steve, Eric and team did an amazing job ---- They were all very professional and they were faster than I could keep up with. Once we arrived in FL Steve and Eric got us into the house and storage with ease. NO DAMAGE to any pieces after I have unpacked most of the stuff. The guys were GREAT and they were fun to be with while i was standing there watching them work! --- Sal was the guy that quoted me and NICOLE is the one that kept our stuff in line and organized! --- GREAT CHOICE IN MOVERS!!!!

I contacted Verity on the recommendation of a friend who worked for them. I spoke and met with Sal at the Seaford Office several times. He was the best! He was totally professional, knew every detail required to move a household, outlined everything and came to our home and did a thorough walk-through itemizing all our possessions. On top of all that, he has a very pleasing personality that lends itself to being extremely likeable and friendly. Theresa in the office contacted us regarding scheduling and was spot-on. On the appointed day, the Verity Van arrived on time. Mike Zanni and Nicole and 2 gentlemen whose names I cant remember, itemized and tagged everything to be moved and systematically loaded it all into the truck. It took them several hours but I was amazed at the efficiency and cooperation shared amongst them and their wonderful and cheerful personalities that made working with them a total pleasure. I very highly recommend Verity Van Lines for all your moving needs. They removed the stress and anxiety inherent in such an undertaking and I cannot praise them highly enough. Rob J. and Joe P. are a great team! Rob was super accommodating in getting our preferred dates and quickly and calmly solved a logistical problem with a too-large moving van that didnt fit in our cul-de-sac. As to the move itself, Joe P. and his team were rock stars in getting all of our furniture packed and out of two story home, with no damage to walls or furniture. When they arrived, Joe went above and beyond in rearranging things for us so that furniture and fixtures were spaced out correctly, and even provided valuable suggestions as to where he thought the furniture looked the best. I would use Verity again in a heartbeat!
Everyone i dealt with from the folks on the phone to the packers and the movers were extremely professional. They were friendly and helpful. Explained everything to me and gave me multiple estimates as the amount we were moving kept changing. The day of they were on time and got everything done in the time they quoted me. All items arrived and were unpacked quickly and there were no issues at all. So pleased.
Paul and his crew moved our belongings twice. On the sale of our old house and again several months later when our new home was ready. The whole crew was very careful ,efficient and very courteous. They all worked very hard. Probably the best thing I can say about Paul and the rest of the guys is that they were like family moving our belongings. It was a good experience at a time when we were very stressed about moving out of state. Our Long Island house was large and they handled it all quickly and professionally. Their arrival time was on target. Dennis is a nice person and easy going. He is the driver of the truck. He has lots of experience and does Florida trips often.

Well first let me say that I have lived in Seaford for 36 years. We have used Verity Van Lines in the past, but just for shipping minor things to Florida. This time we enlisted them to move our entire home to Florida. Their salesperson, Sal is wonderful to deal with. Very knowledgeable and super friendly. When moving day came, Chris and his crew showed up exactly on-time. What a great group of guys!!! They seamlessly orchestrated our move. We were AMAZED at this co-ordination and quickness. Care was their #1 priority and boy did we get that. I was so moved by their work, that as soon as they departed, I was compelled to call the office and express by gratitude to these young men. What a great experience. I would (as in the past) NOT hesitate to recommend Verity for your move. A+++++++++++++!!!

Re: Verity Van LinesMy wife and I moved in June 2015 from Long Island, New York to The Villages, Florida. The experience we received from Verity Van Lines was very professional and exceptional. We chose Verity because of a recommendation from a friend.We contacted Robert Johnson and he came over to our house and we discussed the moving experience at length and in great detail. There was no pressure at all to sign up and we felt very comfortable with him. So one week later we chose them as our mover.The main movers were Steve and Erick, who not only packed the truck but actually stayed with the truck through the entire move from New York to Florida. The packing team that they had were very careful and very pleasant. I asked them to move some heavy things to the curb for sanitation pickup and all it took was to say please. When we arrived in Florida they were very helpful and accommodating as to the placement of the furniture. Nothing was ever a problem for them. They were very courteous, helpful and very professional.I would recommend Verity Van lines to anyone who plans to make a move.
Dennis, Kyle, and Matt were some of the best movers I’ve ever had. They made the impossible happen on multiple occasions. They fit all of our stuff in a truck I was sure would not fit everything and they fit a couch, treadmill, and huge media unit through our tiny basement door. It took multiple attempts but they managed to do it and I am so grateful! Even though that complication happened, they still finished the move so quickly and seamlessly. The way these guys work together is pretty incredible to watch. You can tell they have a system and that they’ve been working together for over a decade. On top of all that, they are really nice guys. I’m grateful we found them because I don’t know how we would have gotten through this move without them. Thanks guys!
Sal was super spot on with his quote and was very professional. There were no hidden costs. They need communication with arrival date of the truck.
I knew about the company from moving my parents about 40 ears ago. I called and made an appointment for a quote. Sal came to the house he was very professional and Honest with us he said they were booked but would get us moved all he needed was a closing date which at that time could not give him. When we finally got one we called and he got us moved on time. The day they came to move us Joe P showed up with his crew they protected the furniture etc. They told us he would meet us at our new location 2 days later and he was there. they unloaded in 2 hours there was no damage loading or unloading i see why they are around as long as they have been. I WOULD HIGHLY RECCOMEND THEM TO DO YOUR MOVE.
From Sal to Dennis and his crew they were very professional handle all our stuff as if was their own. We left on a Wednesday got our things by the next Tuesday highly recommended them.
Everyone involved in this company is extremely professional and honest. Starting with Sal, our coordinator, the office staff (Theresa!), Mike Z. and his crews at both ends, all terrific. We never even considered using anyone else for our long distance move, especially after hearing nightmare stories about other movers. We were NOT disappointed. I highly recommend this company.
Moving is very demanding but Verity made it easier for us. Sal met with us and gave us an estimate that was right on target as for the boxes and wardrobes we would need. Amazing! He always returned our calls and answered all our questions prior to the moving day. We moved on one of the hottest days of the summer though it was already Sept. 6th. The humidity was in the high 90%. The movers, Dennis (driver), Andrew(driver), Raff, Matt, Brett and Dom worked almost non -stop. They were efficient, professional, and courteous throughout. When it came to unloading, they knew where to place the furniture so it would be centered properly. When asked to make a change, they did not hesitate. A supervisor came to check things out during the move-out and Sal came to the new place to do the same. Everyone was as pleasant as could be. We have already recommended Verity to a relative and to friends who will be moving soon. If you are moving, you should not hesitate to hire Verity.

From the moment we met Sal, we knew we were in good hands. The team packed our entire house in less than a day, and by the end of the next day everything was safely loaded onto the truck and it was on its way. We had to stay on Long Island for an extra week, so they even made sure delivery would not be made before we got to our new home. At the final destination, it was great to see some of the same team unload the moving van. And now for the story that proves Verity goes above and beyond. We never thought of asking for advice, so we arranged for another company to transport our car. Of course, they never showed up, and they never contacted us. The next day I called Sal hoping he could offer some advice, since we were getting on a plane in 24 hours. He called a company he knew, and because of his relationship with them, he let us leave the car at the Verity location, they picked up the car the next day, and delivered it, as promised, to our final destination. So many types of industries depend on repeat business from their customers. But even though this could be the one and only time you use Verity, rest assured they will treat you like you are the most important customer they have ever had.

Working with the Team of Paul, Rob and Johnny was an absolute pleasure. The trio arrived on time and were so professional about inspecting my possessions and organizing a plan to empty my home. They took care to wrap all pieces that could scratch and were super careful about not hitting walls, etc. On the other end of the move, they were helpful in assessing the best ways to get big pieces upstairs and around corners. They also helped repair something that was damaged waaaaay before the move but discovered moving day.I would recommend requesting this crew. They were friendly, efficient and polite. Oh, and did I mention how fast the move went? These gentlemen are strong and know their stuff. Verity is a very good company to work with on a move.
Verity recently packed and moved us from Nassau County to southern Florida. We appreciated that the owner provided our estimate, and that they charged a flat fee for all the supplies we needed. This turned out to be 175 boxes, and several large pack of paper. The entire process of packing (thanks, Nicole) and loading (Thanks, Mike) was very well coordinated and executed, and all arrived at our Fl home as expected, with minimal damage.We were advised that the company packed items would be unpacked at the destination, however no personnel other than those unloading were available to do this, and were were somewhat unsure about where the items needed to go, since we couldnt move furniture into the rooms until the flooring was replaced.I believe that Verity would do well to have a single point of contact to better keep customers in the loop before and during the job. While they certainly did what was expected, no one from the office contacted us at any time during the job, and no one has bothered to reach out to see if we were fully satisfied with the work performed. The scope of our unpacking work should have been fully discussed, and additional staff allocated to ensure that the work was completed as pitched
From beginning to end ... everyone at Verity did a tremendous job. The crew had a plan, they communicated well, they worked great as a team. Its was like watching the New England Patriots...100% efficiency!!!My move was out of state and thankfully the move itself was the smoothest thing during this very difficult and tricky transitional period. Absolutely the best service any mover could provide. Nothing was damaged, and everything arrived in a timely manner considering we made a long distance move. Our crew, Dennis, Kyle and Matt were awesome. They were extremely courteous, friendly and easy to talk to. I would not hesitate to use Verity Van Lines again. We recently moved from Seaford to northern Va. We had lived in our house for over 30 years & moved to a much larger home so we brought everything. We filled the huge truck, including lots of large outdoor pots and 2 Harleys. We can’t say enough good things about the entire Verity team. Sal was fantastic as our salesperson & liaison. Very patient & always available & a great guy! Joe P & his team were unbelievable when it came to moving day. They packed almost everything on a Wednesday, finished the next morning & were unloading Friday morning at 730. We had virtually no damage & they were so expert & professional - it was really a positive experience! And I was shocked at the cost; I had been prepared for it to cost twice what it did. We even got a refund! Moving? Call Verity!!

From start to finish this was the best move and easiest move I have endured. Starting with Mike our Rep who went over prices and stayed in constant contact with us, and went above and beyond on the call of duty when we were trying to find a place to donate our piano. Down to the Movers who unloaded the Truck: Dennis, Matthew, Rafael, They were so helpful, patient , curitious and just plain fun! A most remarkable moving experience.We had the pleasure of using Verity Van Lines to move from Long Island,N.Y. to the state of Delaware.Even though its only 220 miles the day we were scheduled to load was also the day a hurricane came to Long Island.The crew was totally prepared, and despite rain and 70 MPH winds got all our possessions loaded and ready to go.The next day they were at our door as if it was business as usual.They put every item where we needed them to be placed, and were on their way just afternoon.Despite all that have could have gone wrong they kept a positive and professional attitude to what had to be done.It was a pleasure from the estimate, to the move.Could not be happier with the service we received!

Throughout our move, my husband and I frequently commented on how impressed we were with our moving team.The first person we met was Robert who came to give an estimate. We were impressed with the accuracy of the on-site estimate, the ease of getting a printout, and the fact that he came back two days before the move to confirm that the estimate was still accurate.Early on the morning of January 17, 2014 we met Dennis, Kyle, and Joey. They arrived on time and got right to work. Joey immediately started loading our boxes while Dennis and Kyle began to wrap up our furniture. We couldn’t believe how quickly they got everything loaded into the truck, we had envisioned it taking hours longer than it actually did. Nobody likes to move -- I personally hate it. I went into our move from Long Island to the Tampa, FL area in April of 2017 with just about as much fear, anxiety, suspicion and skepticism as anyone possibly could. I would have given almost anything to have been able to somehow do it all myself and not have to trust ANY moving company to not try to rip me off or, worse, damage any of my belongings. Do you remember Richard Pryors movie Moving? Ive had that experience a couple times in the past.Ill sum it up this way: if I ever have to move again, which I pray never happens, I will call ONLY ONE company, and that is Verity Van Lines. I know they do a lot of moves down here, and Im sure I can get on a truck headed out of Florida if it ever becomes necessary (which I hope never happens - my family loves it here).They exceeded our expectations in every way, in every aspect of the move. Totally competitive price (I got 5 quotes), perfectly timely service, and not one belonging so much as even SCRATCHED -- how is that even possible?! Our sale of our home in New York and moving To North Carolina was difficult at times. Choosing the right moving company was extremely important. When we first met with Rob we knew we made the right choice.His knowledge and understanding of our concerns made the move seamless. Men worked hard but were very careless - not taking their time in moving our personal items - we had breakage - that cant be replaced on some of our favorite items. Broken glass unique cocktail table - broke the leg off and caused internal damage to our sofa bed that cost more than I got back on the claim. They pay you by the lb. not what the item is worth unless you take their insurance. We took a big loss. Beware.
Andrew and his partner were super friendly, professional and helpful. They took their time and made sure that we were completely satisfied. They made us laugh the whole time and they really seemed to sincerely love their job. It was an overall great experience and we would definitely use them again.
Since 2009 I have had the pleasure of using Verity Van Lines several times. Most recently to my move out-of-state. There were two crews involved - one in New York, and one in North Carolina. Both crews were led by Larry M. The move in NY was on a very hot day, and required a hike up and down from the 3rd floor. The guys were fantastic!! They were professional, friendly, quick, and very careful to not damage my items or the walls within the building. (Repeat the last two sentences!!) Larry arrived two days later with a new crew. Again, a very hot day!! Again, a fantastic crew! And, again I cannot say enough about the professionalism, friendliness, and care given. This is a great company!! Obviously, since I used their services prior to this move, those experiences were equally great! When you find the best, you stay with them! Thank you Larry and crews!

From start to finish, Verity was very professional and easy to work with. My family has used them throughout the years for in town moves and interstate moves. It was our first major move from one home to another. Although moving is overwhelming, they were always available to answer any questions. Crew was on-time and extremely accomodating. Paul R. and his crew of Rob, Jodi and Bobby did an excellent job on a difficult local move. Some of the furniture was dusty and dirty and the boxes were very heavy. The move-out consisted of many long walks back and forth to the elevator, plus much of the furniture was oversized.. They were very patient and cheerful in spite of the difficult conditions. Moving coordinator Sal P. always does an excellent job. His estimate was 99.5 percent accurate. He has helped me on two jobs over the past 7 months. Also, John and Tom are excellent packers. Everything arrievd in excellent shape.
Nelson, and everyone else we dealt with at Verity, were incredibly helpful, courteous, and efficient. We couldnt be any happier with how our move was handled! Perfect Paul delivered a seamless move. Johnny, Jodi, Rob, and Mel “The Gorilla” handled my imported leather sofa, and 400lb Pilates machine with ease, even up a switchback staircase. Going above and beyond, they pushed my 2000lb smoker from one house to the next (2 blocks) because it was too heavy to get in the truck. They even helped me move about 70 cartons and bins into the crawl space saving me a days worth of work.Verity priced the job up front and kept to the contract price which is not always the case with movers. No wonder the company has been around over 100 years.

As you likely know, the weather on moving day turned unexpectedly icy, making the footing very difficult. But the crew took extra care with both themselves & our items.Some of our office furniture was a little too large to maneuver thru the doorway & staircase. The movers carefully disassembled our furniture where necessary & carefully re-assembled at the new office.When moving into the new offices, your staff took time to set up the furniture & were patient when we asked them to re-position items. When completed, they did not rush out the door but rather checked around to make sure everything looked good & that we were 100% satisfied.The moving staff you sent were “Exceptionally” professional. They listened, they were very careful, and they used their head. Great group of guys. You just don’t see service like that anymore. Starting with Sal who estimated our move our experience with Verity could not have been better. He was friendly and most professional as he estimated our job. His suggestion to have our fine porcelains, artwork, sculptures ,lamps, fine bone china, tvs and mirrors packed beforehand was wonderful. Ours was a huge job with precious objectsdart and the packers came twice. They were amazing with the care they took their concern and their speed. As Tom packed fine pieces in paper and bubble wrap, JB built crates for the largePieces. The measurements that Sal took during his estimate were perfect which gave JB the information he needed to construct the crates. On the day of the move Paul and his crew of four moved swiftly and carefully wrapping furniture mattresses, in plastic first and then clean padding carefully stacking everything on two huge vans. The entire crew was professional, Friendly and extremely accomodating. This was a pleasant experience in light of the emotional and stressful ordeal of a move of this size. I cannot say enough about how wonderful they handled our move. We had interviewed four companies before Sal from Verity and we know now we chose the best one . Their price was competitive and fair. He was also available by phone to answer questions beforehand and even showed up on the day of packing as well as on the moving day. 5 STARS PLUS!!
Wasnt able to get all my items packed up because I was in the hospital the weekend before so they brought boxes to get it all done for me. They were also super efficient in doing so - the whole move really took no more than a few hours. Would recommend 100%!
We used Verity Van Lines to move my sons furniture from a one bedroom apartment in Forest Hills to Long Island. It was a smooth operation from start to finish. The moving crew (Johnny, Nick and Jordy) were friendly, efficient and professional. Despite moving from the 21st floor of a high rise, they wrapped and moved the furniture out quickly. On Long Island the crew reassembled several pieces of furniture and set everything up where we asked. Johnny knew exactly what to do in order to manuever a love seat down our basement stairs. The price was exactly as estimated, no surprise extra costs, (thank you Mike). We also needed a certificate of insurance for the high rise which proved to be no problem. Theresa in the office sent the required certificate to the buildings management. I would highly recommend this moving company and the crew who moved us.
Franks crew was professional from start to finish. We were not the neatest packers, but they took care of everything, and were very polite and caring about our stuff. We moved from Long Beach to Florida. The New York crew was great and so was the Florida crew. Everything arrived in good shape. I would recommend them to anyone.
We had a great experience with Verity on a small move of a few pieces of furniture. Scheduling was easy with clear communication from the office, and the movers themselves were friendly, professional, and very efficient.

Chris and Tim arrived at our house 300 miles away exactly at the time they said they would. Extremely efficient and neat in addition to being personable. Placed runners throughout the house and more importantly followed my wifes instructions. Placed items where requested with minimal amount of supervision. Verity Van Lines helped us move from NY to MA. Paul, came into our house in Massapequa, NY, took inventory of every single item (down to the paint brushes i wanted to pack!!) and was meticulous. He was in COMPLETE CONTROL of the entire situation and every single one of his workers. Paul and the Verity crew are incredible....we should have used them from the start. We originally rented PODS thinking it would save us money, but in the end, it wouldve cost the same with much LESS aggravation. PODS = HORRIBLE experience. VERITY/PAUL= Amazing PROFESSIONAL Experience. You 100% get what you pay for. Moving is not cheap...but these guys make you feel like its money well spent because if you do it the WRONG WAY, i can assure you, it can turn into a nightmare. Do yourself a favor, use a professional and use Verity and ask for PAUL to be your lead. He is the man!! His sons work with him too and are equally respectful and incredibly good humans. I have heard great things about Verity Van Lines for 20 years! I could not get them for my last move, 17 years ago,and it was a disaster. This time I made sure that they movedmy husband and I from Long Island to Florida. The experience was wonderful. They were professional, knowledgeable, and very kind. I cant thank Steven S. and Eric enough for making a tense situation so much better. Eric even brought me some of his homemade sauce which was wonderful.
UNSURPASSED SERVICEFrom beginning to end, Frank and his crew were excellent. I was promised a window of delivery from 5/9 to 5/13. They arrived on 5/11. Frank kept me posted as to my delivery schedule. They arrived 8:57 for a 9:00 am delivery. They were friendly, courteous, professional and extremely well organized. It was so easy to work with the teams in NY and FL. I had notified the neighbors that the truck was coming because I knew a couple of driveways were going to be blocked. One forgot and returned home from shopping with a trunk full of groceries. When Bob, Carl and Lance saw this, they jumped to the rescue and unloaded all the bags from their car. FANTASTIC!! - Moving is so stressful, Larry and Baby Face - were so kind, helpful and reassuring!! I have moved many times, this is the first that the people were professional, kind, and HELPFUL!! I had A LOT of stuff, and it took them maybe an hour to pack up - When they arrived in my new home in FL - they delivered my stuff as well as my moms - i think it took an hour - Larry and Baby Face were so considerate and made sure the boxes were put in the correct rooms! Before they left, they said if you need us to move boxes to other rooms let us know - How nice is that!! They left my house mom and I gave them huge hugs! These are not just movers, they are friends and family for life!!!
From the beginning stage of packing straight through to the actual move, these guys were superlative. What could have been a very stressful move was made organized with wonderful good natured movers. I would highly recommend them for any move. You really cant find a more professional group.

I cant say enough good things about this company. From the moment Rob went to my house, until moving day, I never thought this companys moving philosophy was to make your transition smooth and stress-free. Packing was awesome and then when Joe showed up on moving day I knew my belongings were safe. But not only that, it was a familiar touch, it was a personal and caring touch. Joe knew how to deal with me, as sensitive as I was, and he assured me that everything was going to be ok. Today Joe got to my new house, and what can I say. He is such a professional. And it was not only joe, his crew in New York was exceptional, and his two guys here in Florida were more than great. But Joe is one of those people that you feel sad you will never see again. And let me add the fact that everything, and when I say everything I mean TVs, bedroom, gym, dining room, kitchen, and probably 100 boxes, got here in exceptional condition. What they did to our possessions was disgraceful. They opened wardrobe boxes from the bottom and stuffed bins, furniture and anything that would fit. They broke furniture damaged steel Cookware and we still dont know what else. I wouldnt let them move rocks for me.

We used Verity for our move from Stamford, CT to Sedona AZ. We could not have been more pleased. Joe P, our driver and move manager, was fantastic. The team in Stamford did a great job packing up our things. The team in Sedona was efficient and careful. We were able to spend the first night in our new home. My mother also moved from Stamford to Sedona and was very pleased with their service. We used Verity 3 years ago when we moved from Oyster Bay, NY to Stamford, CT and they were great then as well. Chris and crew moved my father and i from Mt. Sinai to Farmingdale and i couldnt of asked for better service. Everything was padded starting from the dining room furniture down to every single chair. Frank was the driver and supervised the team of workers, Frank does his job very well. The crew in new york and the delivery crew in florida, were professional. The issue we had was that the packing date was 4 days prior to the moving date ,and the delivery date was 2 days after the window we were given. Nothing was broken and everything was accounted for. This is the worst moving company you could ever use. Trust me & do not use them. They damaged everything we had: Furniture, Boxes, Pictures etc. They change their prices drastically after you agree to use them at the last minute. Even though they ruin all the contents they moved for you, They demand to be paid in full. Then of course they blow you off, even though you have insurance with them.I have never dealt with such a dishonest, unprofessional & unconcerned company ever. They deserve no money at all for the move they did for us, let alone the fortune they ripped us off with.They cracked wall unit glass, ruined beautiful furniture sets, destroyed everything in every box, even damaged our bedroom set & cracked huge mirrors & promised to replace it, but never did 3 months later, they never will!They damaged loads of things right in front of me & still never took care of any of it.They also use movers that are unqualified & drop everything, as they cant lift, so in desperation, you wind up moving everything you possibly can yourself. Sensational! Paul & his team of guys—Johnny, Mel (aka Gorilla), Rob, Jodi, and Anthony—recently helped my older parents move out of the home theyd lived in for fifty years and into their new apartment (over 200 boxes and a ton of furniture, not to mention house plants the size of trees). Needless to say, my parents were apprehensive about moving, but the guys were not only terrifically efficient, but truly warm caring individuals as well. They understood how tough the move was for my parents and they were endlessly patient and accommodating. When they made sure to bring chairs up to the new apartment (on the very first trip up) so my parents could sit down, I could have cried with gratitude. Their good cheer actually brought smiles to my parents faces—and, consequently, to mine as well. I cant remember ever hugging movers good bye. If there werent only five stars, Id have given them more. Thanks to all of you!
We moved from Nassau County in NY to Southern NH at the end of June 2016. The crew was respectful, careful and so fast. They all seemed to enjoy working together and worked as a team well. Delivery was next day in NH and they were on time and once again careful, respectful and worked well together. Would recommend.

A very Typical (lying, sleazy, low class, thieves) Moving Company. BEWARE.I have moved all over the country, Five Times, and have experienced every type of moving company there is. On a scale of 1-10, Id rate Verity Van Lines Inc. from Seaford, NY as a BIG ZERO. Like other sleazy moving companies they quote you one price and then after you sign a contract, the price goes up. My sales representative, is like most. In that when his lips are moving, hes lying. Salvatore Preiato promised me that he has been doing this all of his life and he over estimated the weight of my items so that I will be safe AND even if he was wrong that I would have a 10% price guarantee. He said that after they get my furniture picked up that I would see both before and after weigh bills. Never saw anything. Naturally, the price went up after they took my furniture away. Then they changed the arrival date, so my belongings sat on a truck for two weeks in Seaford, NY. On several occasions they told me that they only carry insurance for $00.60 (60 cents) a pound and that I should increase it at an additional charge.I declined. It wasnt until my furniture arrived (3 weeks later) that I was told that if there is any damage that they were only responsible for what THEY PACKED. I packed everything except 3 items. And I When I found damaged items, I called Sal he never returned my calls until I threatened to write bad reviews. Then he called me and told me to send him photos of the damage and he will take care of it. I never heard from him again. When I called their office I was told that he was on vacation and that I needed to complete a claim form that they would mail me. Im still waiting for that. I also asked, Why would I purchase extra insurance, if they were not responsible for 99% of my shipment? Answer: Its the law. Huh? Its the law to offer me more insurance and not tell me that they are not responsible for anything that they dont pack. In summary, They are lying, sleazy, low class, thieves of a moving company just like many of the others. Learn from my mistake. Read the reviews on their web site, YELP and google them and see for yourself.

2022-01-20We had nothing but a smooth move with Verity Van Lines. The pickup was right before the Christmas holidays and delivery was right after. Rob was very nice and professional when he came to give us an estimate. Of course the day of the move, I was very nervous, but the guys - Dennis and team, did a great job. They were such nice people. Our move was to Florida and again Dennis and team did a great job on that end of the move as well. My husband and I were very satisfied with everything. 2022-05-25Sal was prompt and gave us an in-home estimate. Answered all our questions and scheduled us within our time frame. Very professional and easy to talk to. Listened to all our concerns and gave a fair estimate. Andrew our driver was great! The team in New York worked real hard to get everything loaded onto the truck. We had to separate our things for 2 locations( Apartment and Storage Unit). They worked with us all day to load a household of 33 years. The Tennessee team was just as good and set up our apartment professionally and quickly. Andrew communicated with us throughout our experience and was very good in executing both deliveries and overseeing his team to assure us of a smooth experience.We would highly recommend Verity Van Lines. 2022-02-02Part of this review may have been posted accidentally before it was completed. It can now be deleted after this review is posted. Robert gave us an immediate competitive quote after we showed him what was to be moved. We explained our timeline for our move to Florida and Verity was able to accommodate our plans. Don and Matt arrived on time to pack everything indicated in a very professional manner. Next day Dennis, Justin, and Mathew arrived early to load everything on the truck in a very organized manner. We next saw Dennis and Justin 10 days later at our new home in Kissimmee where they arrived extremely early to beat the rush of construction workers on our street. Everything unloaded promptly and furniture reassembled as needed. Nothing was broken and the final price was less than the original estimate based on the actual weight of the load. Needless to say that we were very pleased with the entire Verity experience and would recommend them highly.

2021-07-13Moving is without a doubt one of the most stressful times possible - we were looking for a good moving company to move from Queens NY to North Carolina for a 3 BR apt on a 3rd floor walk up during the busiest moving week of the year (last wk of June) with less than one months notice - and Verity to our rescue. After being recommended to us by 2 other families, they had our date range available and sent the estimate guy right away to do an in-person inventory of our stuff. He ended up over quoting us (because our driver decided he could fit the entire tractor trailer on our block rather than having to use a shuttle truck as we had originally thought). The 6 movers, Nicole from inventory, and most especially Sean our driver were just simply the BEST - they took all the stress out of the day and the experience in general, on a 100 degree day in NYC. We originally had a pretty long window for delivery to NC, but they were able to tell us succinctly at pick up exactly when drop off would be (and we were also lucky to be the last ones loaded on). They treated our stuff (even the cheap stuff) with care and delivered /set up everything they took apart. I cannot rave enough about what a great experience it was, and will continue to recommend them (word of mouth most of all) as I lure more family to follow us down south!

2022-06-27Verity Van Lines and the crew sent for our move were everything we expected, and more. We were moving to Melville, and storing certain items with Verity. Their pricing is very fair and reasonable. They were extremely professional and amazingly quick in packing the truck, and delivering our items to Melville. They were great in terms of prepping us for the move, and helped us pack efficiently. I would highly recommend Verity for any move.
