Fantastic experience at Verizon store .Harry is Amazing, we were greeted immediately and his customers service is fantastic. Hes knowledgeable, friendly, he was patient explaining everything as he went along. You must work with him if youre ever there. Ive had best experiences at this store then any other cell phone store Ive been too. Professional and helpful finding the right phones and accessories I needed. Love this Verizon store! I recently had an issue with my kid’s device. Tyler R. Spent 2 hours helping me! He had to make many calls to different customer service reps and the Fraud department. He explained the problem 4 separate times and was patient and extremely helpful to me! I never would have been able to find the time to handle this issue on my own and he was able to get all the right answers and solve the issue by the time I left! Thank you thank you thank you! Tyler replaced a bad SIM card in my iPad. While I was in the store I asked about upgrading my iPhone, which I plan to do in the near future. Tyler gave me excellent information about the various promotions and was very thoughtful in his suggestions based on my preferences. I will be back when I decide to upgrade because I felt very comfortable with Tyler.
Always excellent service and always reliable. Whatever problems I’ve had with my I Phone or I Pad have been solved in an amiable and comprehensive way. My iPhone 6 had been working great but it was four years old... I knew the time would come when it would stop working unfortunately it happened on a very busy day for me... Russell cellular was only a few doors down from my office and I walked in and they helped me so quickly and efficiently... they gave me exactly what I wanted in a new phone there was no hassle at all... plus they did the set up perfectly. This was the easiest transition to a new phone that I’ve ever had! Thank you Russell cellular!
I updated my phone and, to my good fortune, Tyler was the representative who assisted me. He was personable, professional, and extraordinarily patient. He ensured that all my data was transfered, never rushing to get it done -- and invited me to return with any follow up questions. In sum, Tyler is an excellent representative for the store and due to him I will refer friends and family there.
Although I am generally not a big fan of most Verizon stores, this was an unexpected pleasure. The staff was really helpful and took a lot of time with me. Once I made a decision, it was carried out quickly without mistakes.Thank you for making what I had expected to be a frustrating experience into an almost pleasurable one.
I went in just to ask questions about possibly getting a new phone I was met by Tyler the assistant manager . He didn’t try to force anything on me told me a couple of options that would be best could not have been more helpful more gracious. I thanked him and left .I spoke with him the next day saying I’m going to come in to get the phone , he was very patient about everything answered all my questions provided outstanding service. Other people came in he was also able to help them , never impatient was always incredibly helpful, everything turned out great!
She was very personable and just all around very helpful. She was able to answer any questions I had and also very helpful with info on switching providers. I’m actually a sprint customer and was just buying a phone case. I hate my service and she pretty much gave me a good reason to switch with every question I had.
Kusam at the Verizon store in New Paltz, NY, spent at least an hour in a complicated new phone set-up for me, including twenty minutes on the phone with customer service. She never displayed an ounce of impatience with my significant knowledge deficits in cell phone use, and helped me load some needed apps, etc. She never pressured me to get a more expensive phone or service, and the customer service representative gave me a discount on my prepay for being a loyal customer, which was a surprise. Kusam seemed to know every possible route in addressing my issues. EXCELLENT experience with her.
Went to bed last night and my phone was fine, woke up and it wouldnt charge or stay on when it was plugged it. Went into this store, only one person working but he helped me upgrade two phones and set them up all while helping all the other people too. He made sure i got all discounts possible. Plus it was open on Sunday when other Verizons are closed. Perfect!
My friend casey got an iphone there a few months ago and they have been really helpful with her. they have even been kind enough to let her charge her phone there when she had left her charger at home. on numerous occasions. shes a technologically challenged girl and since caseys my second sister, i just had to follow her advice to send you a great recommendation. they even help her organize her settings and helped her when she was forgetful of her apple id. they were even kind enough to show her how to block and unblock numbers. I cannot pronounce one of the manager/workers names but his name starts with an h. from what i hear, hes the best. its a good one on one place with patient people. thanks for helping my friend
I do not like getting new phones for the sole reason of switching all of my content to a new phone. So I keep phones for as long as possible. When I came into the New Paltz location with a phone that was no longer working, Kusam worked quickly through the process of letting me know what was wrong and guiding me toward a new device. Transition was quick and painless, the employees are joyful and kind, so this will be my go to Verizon store!
I always have a great experience at this location. I live far just because their customer service in the best. Heider his told me how answer the calls on phone. He was absolutely excellent at his job plus his was very personable and such a good person. Hire more people like him!
Good customer service. Very clean environment. The guy working there was very patient with as I was indecisive. Appreciate the honesty . Very helpful I was frustrated but they fixed everything! I lost my phone off of a boat into the Hudson River and came here on a Friday night with an urgent need for a phone Saturday morning. The phone I wanted had to be ordered, but Haider went the extra distance to loan me a temporary phone till the new one came in. Great service :-).
I’m 79 years old. I received the very best service that I had ever from a Verizon store. Ray is the best. He was very patient and gave me a lot of time. He also showed me how to use my new device and set it up for me. They were very nice to me. Definitely coming back in future.

DO NOT GO HERE! I paid for a factory-sealed iPhone 8 in January 2018 and was given a pre-owned phone that was missing the apple charger. The store denied that it was a used phone and would not give me the new phone that I paid for. In settings, the iPhone says it was activated in JULY 2017, meanwhile I purchased the brand new phone in JANUARY 2018. Complete scammers and total scumbags run this place. STAY AWAY. Go to ANY other Verizon store but this one.
Catherine m, ChanDu and Ronnie v were so helpful in my new purchase. I came in knowing very little and they were very patient and understanding of my little knowledge of new technology. I would highly recommend going to this Verizon store and will be returning for any future problems I might have.
Ahmin was very helpful. He was able to help me with my contract and work with corporate in order for me to get a new phone today. He was also able to trade in my old phone while being patient and kind, as was Sam. I really appreciate the time (2 hours) they took to resolve my issue and make me a happy customer. Plus the location is easily accessible, right on Main St. I highly recommend this store!
Sam, the store manager, has always been a very good manager. She has helped me out tremendously with all of my phone issues. She also got my phone bill lowered a lot, as well. I highly recommend her for anyone who comes into the store and has any issues with their phone. The other employee, Catherine, has been especially helpful, as well! If you ever have any issues, they will always be glad to help you out!
I wish I could give this zero stars. Accepts no responsibility. Plays the we are the middle man card. Smile to your face while doing nothing for you customer service. These people this store are not Verizon wireless they dont represent Verizon. Avoid at all costs. Deal with an actual Verizon store not a representative.
Without a doubt, I highly recommend Verizon in New Paltz. Staff go above and beyond to assist customers with fantastic service and have incredible patience. I have to say, Ronnie is my favorite! I will go back just to say hello. Thank you Verizon and Ronnie for helping me with everything!

The staff at the New Paltz store is excellent!! I have been a Verizon Customer for over 20 years and have never been in a store like this one. From the moment I walked in the door, the staff was kind, courteous and professional. I was fully informed on all questions and they were very patient with my parents as they chose their items. They earned my trust though the entire experience. I highly recommend that if you are in the area, you should definitely stop by.
The employee I worked with was shady and lied to get me to get a phone. He also asked me for my personal my Verizon password used my personal account to change things. The customer service center did an investigation and did honor what I was told and gave me a credit after 4 calls for it to be fixed
Nice atmosphere. Can get help quickly if its not busy otherwise there can be a long wait so be prepared. SAM is the best. Manger and stuff fully understand what the customers service. I called ahead of time to speak with a rep before stopping by and the gentleman I spoke to was able to look up my account, outline all my options, and make a reasonable suggestion right on the spot. Saved me gas, time, and the headache of dealing with typical sales people. Ive never had such a pleasurable, simple and informing conversation with a cell phone customer service rep. Props to these guys.
2 for 2 bad experience. Today I entered the store looking to purchase an older model iphone, needing the smaller physical size. Upon walking in the door I was pounced upon by the salesman. I asked to have a few minutes to look around on my own and that I would find him when I was ready. I was told no, but that he could assist me instead. I thought this a little rude, but figured he was just trying to be accommodating.When I told him what I was looking for (SE) he said, why? Thats an artifact. Ill sell you the 8. The salesman was very pushy and refused to entertain the reason I came in the store. He also said the SE phones are only made prepaid. If he didnt have any to sell he simply should have said so instead of trying to make me feel like my business was not wanted.I walked out of the store without purchasing the phone or any accessories that I had intended. I called the Verizon store in Middletown, who has the phone in stock and I will be picking up shortly. So much for trying to do business more local.I returned to this store today hoping the last visit was just catching the salesman on a bad day. Todays service was equally as bad and I will not be recommending this store to anyone.
I have been a long-time Verizon customer and Jocelyn is the best representative I have ever worked with. She is extremely friendly, knowledgeable, resourceful and efficient. She helped me diagnose my phone issue quickly and provided insightful solutions. I think she is a great asset to Verizon and all of their customers. If I owned a company I would hire her as CEO! Pre-ordered and picked up the new iPhone 7+ from this store. All staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. I cannot recommend them highly enough! This morning I walked into this store extremely upset with my phone situation. I was greeted with a smile and treated with patience and respect. Cat spent a long time with me working on various solutions and finally helped me get a very reasonable deal on an excellent phone. Steven helped me find my data online, and Jocelyn put my screensaver on and showed me how to work my new phone protector. I walked out of the store a VERY happy customer. I have rarely been treated so professionally and courteously at a service store like this one. I highly recommend everyone to take you phone woes to Wireless Icon Verizon!

STAY AWAY FROM THIS STORE!!!! They will scam you while coming across as very nice people.Theyre very good at making you think youre getting a deal but beware. They are robbing you blind.Their phone prices are way above list price so make sure you do your homework if you dare take one step into this den of iniquity. They pose as authorized Verizon dealers but are not regulated by Verizonand Verizon will give you no support if these guys steal from you. Also, dont believe the other positive reviews of this store on Google. Theyre left by friends and family of the employees. BEWARE!!!!!!
Wonderful, the girl Catherine was fantastic, super positive, not a bad vibe, shes gunna take care of you, save you money, she was very happy. We had a bust phone and she managed to bring down the main line to almost nothing... got us a new phone and better deal. Go there, the past reviews are from staff that are gone. If you dont believe go yourself, this is no fake review. The personal service is 6 stars. Couldnt complain a cent.
Be very careful with this store. About a week ago I had the worst experience with Verizon. I usually dont share my experience online.I run a business my self and hate to leave a bad review. This guy named Hary (I doubt its his real name) talked me into buying a new phone that I didnt need. Half of the time I couldnt understand what he was saying. He lied to me that, he was going to transfer all my information. He couldnt transfer my information. This guy couldnt finish one full sentence with proper English. It was very clear to me that, he probably never finished high school. I love the Verizon network. But, I cant believe Verizon associate them self with these people. The owner should hire more American instead of his own family. The guy who took care of me, I have a good feeling he might not even be a legal resident. I think the IRS and ICE should look into this authorized retailer. Guys next time go to a corporate store. Save your self from some headache.
BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN YOU GO TO THIS store. The name of the store is Wireless Icon Verizon not Verizon so based on what I was told, while they are affiliated with Verizon, they arent held to the same standards as other verizon stores. In our situation, this meant the ability to bundle and hide charges that are not typical things that Verizon stores do, based on the conversation we had with the Verizon Customer Service and the lady from customer service accusing them of not following Verizon protocol. Heres what happened:My wife went to get her new phone and told me that she was being offered a free tablet. Free tablet? Too good to be true I said - so I drove to the store to find out more. We went back and forth for 15 minutes with the 2 salesman, asking if it was 100% free, asking if there were any additional charges, saying nothing in this world is free. They just kept insisting that we were not charged anything extra and it was completely free. My wife even tried multiple times to say that we didnt want it and we both let them know we had no intentions to use it. They just said thats fine, make sure you dont cancel in two years and it wont affect us at all. Reluctantly we left with the tablet.1 month later, there is a new line charge on our account. $10 a month. a total of $240 by the time we are finished had we not caught it. Plus, a $30 activation fee....another charge we didnt want. They ended up bundling that charge in with her phone line. The Verizon customer service rep was so frustrated by what my wife told her, that she called the store, set-up a 3 way call and demanded a $30 refund and for us to be able to take back the tablet and not be charged the $175 early termination fee. Initally the manager balked and said she had to check - the customer service rep said she had 48 hours to do so. She also said she was reporting the store to Verizon for bundling charges - This is not a typical verizon practice.It gets better - when I returned the tablet, Ronnie deflected and denied any wrongdoing, when he wasnt even the one involved in selling me and my wife the tablet. They accused us of not understanding the deal and insisted they were trying to help us out. He insisted that it didnt make sense for them to do that because all the money goes to Verizon anyway....Hmm, its a store that needs sales. As the corporate office told me, anytime they get a new line activation (Which they got with the tablet) it is a benefit to the store. So another lie and deflecting from the salesman at this store.Sam, the manager, standing right by his side, did little to calm the situation and just said she wasnt here when it happened and said they dont lie to customers. I tried to explain multiple times - they took no accountability at all. They did take the return and said we would be refunded, so I appreciated that, but when I explained my frustration in how they tricked us and how they handled the situation so poorly (Ronnie, while dealing with a customer mocked me calling them liars to the customer he was dealing with, right in front of me, when he handed out his business card -classy), and I explained how I would write several negative reviews and call corporate, Sam simply stated that she didnt care, Im only one customer and that they have great relationships with many people in the area. I was shocked, but looking back, I guess I shouldnt have been.I ended up calling corporate and we are currently figuring out the next step. I then decided to let a few co-workers know and you wont believe it....they did the same thing to my co-worker!!! He immediately called and found out he had the same $10 charge per month that hes been paying without knowing it. And he doesnt even use the tablet!!I will admit that I bought my phone there last year and I wasnt ripped off. But I do my research, know the phone I want, know the cost and I dont look for anything more. For people that go in without any plan, they will take advantage of you, and they will try to trick you. Be VERY CAREFUL
They set me up with a new contract my phone broke within 2 months of having my new contract and they refused to help me with getting a new phone of the same or so i dont spend alot of money therefore i had to add a new line to my contract to get a new phone... theyre very rude and tried telling me i couldnt swap numbers to the new phone or that i cant change my broke phone to a tablet without dishing out a ton of money... i suggest buying online or going to a different store or even ordering over the phone from the 1800 number much more helpful then this store...

SCAMMERS. Do not go here. Phone had an issue and he told me I would only have to pay sales tax if his “temporary fix” didn’t work. It didn’t and when I came back he once again gave the sales tax spheel and then tried to charge me full price for the phone even though the issue was with them and not at any fault of my own.Go to poughkeepsie, they fixed my issue at no cost of my own in less than 10 minutes.
Very misleading. The owner sold me my phone - assured me that there was no monthly fee in addition to the initial cost of the phone. But there is. Turns out Im pay over 300 in total for this phone. Bald faced lies. On the New Paltz group page on facebook, several people had bad things to say- I dont believe the good reviews here.
Terrible location. They talked me into getting a new phone when I was there just for my wifes new phone under the false pretense that with a special they had going on it would only raise my bill $10 a month. Well come to find out it was actually $30/month more and once you are setup Verizon tells you to shove it and wont honor what I was told for a price. (I also DID ask multiple times if the new price they quoted me included taxes and fees and they said Yes). I was given the run-around so they could make a sale. This place is very dishonest and I will never step foot in here again. Avoid like the plague.
BEWARE! These guys are sharks and they will RIP YOU OFF!I recently bought a new phone and service plan at an apparentlygreat price and was told it came with a free tablet. One monthlater, I was hit with exorbitant fees that I was never told about,including new line an other insane charges for the free tabletthat I was told I would not have to pay. This is an independentlyowned business, and is NOT Verizon. These shops are the modernversion of used car lots. Stay Away. I was able to finally get the feesreversed after hours on the phone with Verizon, who really came through.Stay Away!!! I would give a negative rating if that was an option
This is NOT an official verizon store. They are an authorized dealer, basically disgusting posers that are trying to rip people off. I cant believe Verizon actually associates themselves with these people.Ive been to this location twice. Horrible experience both times. Today I went in to activate a used phone I just bought, which all it takes is switching the SIM card from my old phone. The Verizon guy does this while asking me how much I paid for the phone. Then, how strange, the SIM card isnt working with my new phone. Both guys at the desk say my phone is bad, that I should return it, it probably has a bad SIM card slot. So, I go back to my seller, who I trust, The Computer Hut, and tell them the situation. The guys at Computer Hut, take out my SIM card, and simply put it back in the phone and it works, no problem... SO, I think the scumbags at Verizon intentionally sat my SIM card incorrectly so that it wouldnt work, so that Id come back and buy a phone from them. At best, they are so pathetic that they cant even swap a SIM card properly. I will never return to this location. The Kingston VZW Store is a legit location and always very helpful, this NP location is a nightmare.
Great when you first go in, wonderful people...when you are spending a lot of money. Try to get them to help you in the same manner afterward, not so much. With so many other plans out there offering better service at a cheaper price why would you use Verizon. I had AT&T for 4 years loved them but the service in New Paltz was iffy in some places. I changed to Verizon because it seemed that my Verizon friends had more complete coverage, that changed. I have the same dead areas right in the town of New Paltz I did on Verizon now. Overall a complete disappointment I cant wait for the 2 years to be up. In my opinion if you HAVE to use Verizon, use a COMPANY STORE, not a retailer. Prices were VERY high. Look at a price in there and compare it online.UPDATE!!: I believe the review that said that family are leaving positive reviews are correct! Stay away from this store!!!
Representative Patrick T has excellent people skills and served me in a very efficient manner while I had very limited time to do my business with Verizon.He was knowledgeable and pleasant to work with. After some not very good interactions some had with the Highland Verizon store and posted on Facebook, I wanted to give a public shout out to the long time manager SAM and tech person Patrick at the New Paltz Verizon store. They both helped my wife and me (both of us senior citizens) purchase, then exchange, and then set up our two new phones. A very good business experience.

My cousin, Alice, bought me an iPhone 7 as a gift. She paid in cash (Brazilians dont deal much with credit cards. Brazilian stores dont like to accept them.) This Verizon store, knowing we would not read the fine print, asked me to sign the contract. What the contract said was that I had made a small downpayment and would be paying off the price off the phone on a monthly basis. When I discovered they had done this I complained to Verizon by writing to the CEO. He had someone in his office write to me to say they were sorry, but they had no power over the store because Verizon stores are a franchise, not owned by Verizon.

Amaan Kate Harry were the reason I switched back to Verizon. I was at another location and I didnt switch because the employee at that store wasnt engaged. The team was honest and upfront about all charges and were very knowledge about special products and offers. Ive been with all carriers and Verizon is definitely works the best in the Hudson Valley i have worked all over doing UBER so I know this for a fact. Least amount of coverage issues and dropped calls.
I have always found Sam to be helpful, personable, and a pleasure to deal with. Yesterday I had a problem and Amin spent a great deal of time with me. He was patient, knowledgeable, and was able to finally solve my problem. His name tag also says “solution specialist”, and after my experience with him I agree that his title is a perfect fit ! Upgraded 3 of 4 family phones today in New Paltz. Wow! That was a great visit. Sales Associate Ronnie helped with account details saving us some $ and getting us GREAT new Samsung Edge 6+ phones.3 half generations involved 28/53/67 and he managed to inform and entertain all 3 levels of smart phone capability.We were unable to purchase screen protectors at the store, but when we found elsewhere he helped install....with a smile.Ive had good experiences in this store before and think the management in New Paltz must be excellent. Everybody there is not only tech savvy but really NICE. Thanks!Please note:I have worked in New Paltz area 25+ years. I know a lot of people in the area. Go somewhere else --- drive to a Verizon Store (not an authorized dealer as is this store). They overcharged my son over $100 for a phone -- only after we called Verizon to complain did we find out that Wireless Icon is only an authorized dealer and not an official Verizon Store -- but luckily for us even as an authorized store they are supposed to charge Verizons retail price -- we were refunded the overcharge after we complained. Spread the word and make sure everyone you know realize they overcharge for the phone and services, They also did not honor the $100 upgrade Verizon was offering but again luckily for us when we called Verizon Customer Support they credited our account.Spread the word it may be to someones advantage to drive a bit more to find an offcial Verizon Store.

2022-03-25This was the fifth time we have updated our phones at the Russell Cellular store over a period of several years. Each year gets better and better. Its often a complicated and lengthy process because of the information transfers from the old phones. But weve always left the store with everything in perfect working order. The personal service is top-notch.

2022-03-19Visited this location to ask for help activating my iPhone 13 pro and Apple Watch, as issues with Verizon the past two days have left me without a phone. The two men working at 3:30PM didn’t bother to help. One of them kept licking his fingers and putting his finger in his mouth to remove food from his teeth. Told me he could reset my watch for $35 and told me it wasn’t a “big deal” that my phone wasn’t registering under my account. Left without service because they simply don’t care. Waste of time. Visit another location.

2022-01-18Honestly, I am not a fan of Verizon. But Sam is so good at her job that Im writing this review for her. Shes direct, candid, personable, patient. I feel like she was the one sane person I spoke with while transferring my familys phone service from Sprint to Verizon. I probably wouldve ditched Verizon, except that Sam made the whole experience bearable.

2022-02-26Really wish I had worked with Sam instead of the dude here. Maybe Verizon would have got a new customer. Switching from another carrier, he didnt actually check if my current phone could be switched over (it definitely could), he just pushed me into getting a new one. He said I could trade my phone in for $800 off a new phone, but they had none in stock (they had NONE of the newest galaxy phone in stock?!? like the only one they sell?!), so he was going to order it to the store and I could come in and get everything switched over, but in the meantime we could switch my fiances phone over. So we did that. All good, right? NO. I had to call him following some strange emails just for him to tell me that my credit score must not be as good as I said because I was denied for getting $800 off my phone. I know for a fact I have a high credit score but why would it matter if I was trading in my current phone for that amount?, so I asked him if there was another reason that would be, and he kept repeating himself over and over again. I wouldnt have switched my fiances phone over if I knew there was a chance I couldnt get the $800 off, he said it was a sure thing. Had to wait on Verizon hold for an hour to get a transfer PIN for my fiances phone, but the guy at Spectrum sat there with me and hung out for it. Now I pay $30/month for unlimited everything and I didnt have to buy a new phone and dont have to deal with Verizon ever again.

2022-04-13There is a very rude woman that works there. I asked about prepaid phones. She shows me the Motorola. I said I was looking for an iPhone 13 pro. She then quoted me the price as if I did not have enough to buy it. I said I know how much they cost. You should not budget the customer! I know what I want to spend. She lost my sale. No social graces or etiquette as this location. Skip it.

2021-11-27Kusam has been helping me to upgrade my phone since 2013. She is a Saint because I am not a usual customer I hate these 2 year changes worrying about what wont transfer to the new phone, forgetting my passwords, trying to navigate all the new stuff and of course figuring out the new monthly bill charges. She patiently explains everything and shows me how to work my new phone and appreciate the new improvements. She makes sure you buy what you need and get the best discounts possible. I would be lost without her. She goes above and beyond in her customer service.

2021-12-14I have called the Verizon corporate number several times trying to get a box and a label to ship my trade-in back to them. They never sent the box. It’s been a terrible experience, but coming to this authorized retailer was amazing. They couldn’t accept my phone, but they provided me with instructions and the packaging to send the phone back. Very helpful when he didn’t need to be. Will be coming here for any future purchases!
