Marco was very helpful and had the solution to my worries. It took some work to get it accomplished because apparently there was a temporary glitch with some of Verizons systems, but Marco worked it all out and all is well. Very pleased to have both unlimited data AND a reduction in my monthly payment! Recommended. Im pleased.
I got my new phone today at Verizon in penn yan. I was nervous about it but the guy I talked with was so great. Robert helped me with a lot of questions, I felt sorry for the poor guy. He answered all of my questions, with a smile I might add. I wish he could help me all the time lol. Overall a great experience.
Andrew is so great to work with! He made adding lines incredibly easy and upgrading a year later even easier. Andrew really works for his customers, not himself. He doesn’t whatever he can to make sure you get the best deals; unlike sales guys who do whatever they can to get you to spend the most money. 10/10 would recommend!
I worked with Andrew, and I couldnt be happier with my experience. He went out of his way to get me the phone I wanted and the data plan I wanted! He was very straight forward and I felt all my needs and answers were met. If you find yourself in need of an upgrade, or you wanna make sure that your friends and family are taken care of properly, tell them to go see Andrew! Thank you Andrew, Im loving new note 10+ !!!
Sad what this place has become. Poor management, even poorer upper management. Reps that they have, including the manager, only care about making money and will do anything, including making up fake promos, just to get a sale. Its unfortunate that the good reps that used to be here are gone. But now I can see why, no one would want to be poorly managed by these guys. When you have a company that cares little about the customer, you get what you have in this store. A bunch of kids looking to make a quick buck while doing anything that management permits them to do to do so. I would not recommend this store to anyone. Yes, it may be convenient if you live in the direct area, but take your business elsewhere, even if it means you have to tack on an extra 20 minutes of travel.
I tried switching my plan to a different one and it didn’t work so I got a call from Marco from the wireless store in Penn Yan saying in a voice message the exact thing I was trying to do. So I went into the store and he helped me get what I was looking for. He called customer service and wouldn’t take no for an answer until I got what I needed. He was fantastic and I greatly appreciated what he did for me!!! If I have any issues in the future I will definitely go to him!!
I stopped in today 4/13/19 around 2 in desperate need of help in gathering my phone log and text log for a harassment issue that had been going on. Marco was so helpful and kind, during this scary time. I am so glad that there are individuals who work in these places who are able and willing to handle situations like this. I came in anxious and scared and I actually left in a more calm state of mind. There was another male worker there who I didn’t catch his name but was supportive as well. I am thankful for both of them for their customers service skills. Thanks again.
Bought a blue tooth charger from them for almost $80, worked for about 2/3 hours and than nothing. Because of circumstances I couldn’t get back to them for almost a month to exchange it . They told me their warranty period is for a couple of weeks and I went beyond that time period. I could try to send it back to Samsung. Good luck with that one. I think they should rethink their policy on exchanges for an amount of money that size and back their products better. Bad customer service
My phones screen had stopped working to the point where it was impossible to tell exactly what was on the phone. But within 30 minutes Alex had helped me not only get another phone that was right for me, but without my contacts or pictures saved to the cloud or backed up he managed to send them through Bluetooth. Awesome experience, very helpful and friendly guy.
Worst retail experience we have ever had! Drive by this place to find a Verizon store that cares anything about its customers. They sold us a cellular kit for home phone for my mom who was in isolation, and this was her only means of communication. There was no antenna in the box, and the cellular box didnt get signal without it. Then when we asked for the antenna, they said it wasnt their problem, to call Verizon. After purchasing an antenna, the box still didnt work, and they still wouldnt help us! For an elderly lady in isolation in a nursing home! They did not care at all! We finally got everything credited through the main Verizon support. Please dont do business with these people. Drive to the next store!
My family in NY is in the middle of a health crisis and my dad is staying at a nursing home for rehab in Penn Yan, over a half hour away from home. In the middle of one of the worst days weve all had since this started, his old phone crashed and he lost all contacts.While dad was in therapy, his wife went to the Verizon store in PY and Austin, a sales associate helped her. My dad did not need the latest phone or a fancy phone. And Austin did not oversell, nor was he pushy. He sold my dads wife an iPhone 7s, which is exactly what he needed. His wife was able to get the phone up and running basically and they called me in Ohio.I turned on facetime and was able to see my dad and have him see me for the first time since all this started!Thank you for treating seniors with respect and not taking advantage of them by selling them pricy phones and accessories that they do not need. Years ago when my dad got his former cell phone, another Verizon location completely took advantage of my dads lack of tech knowledge and sold him an expensive phone, with technology he never used and was ridiculously complicated to use. I am pleased to hear that there are good people and good branches of Verizon offering customers help and service.Weve been through a lot in a week. It was great to be treated well. Thanks, Austin!
Transferred my Husbands phone that I didn’t buy at this location as was in town at our summer cottage. Andrew helped me out and got everything restored and assisted me in downloading a Google app that stores my photos. Even bought a Bluetooth speaker to listen to music. Andrew was so very helpful and pleasant.
My Verizon experience in the Penn Yan store was incredible !! Tim Gee was extremely patient, knowledgable, understanding, and personable !! He made my decision about upgrading to a new phone very comfortable and informed on my ability to manage the change. Tim went above and beyond to assist with all of the necessary support issues!! A positive plus experience!
Previous management was great. The new management at this location is laughable. I’ve spent thousands over the last couple years and always have been treated well. This new manager messed up the items I bought and when I asked him to take care of the problem he laughed it off as a joke and said he’s not responsible for errors. I hope his tenure is short.
The service here is excepional! I came in to get a new line of service for my daughter. I was helped by Pete and he was very kind. The manager was going from station to station and asking if he could help. Very impressed. I will definitely go there for all my needs. If the associates are struggling it is clear their manager will be there to help.
I came here today very frustrated with my phone. I went to Danville and bath and no one can help me. I knew Ishould have come to Penn yah groom the beginningMarco was shop friendly and helpful. He made me feel like it was the phone that didnt work right not me. From now on when I need any thing I WILL COME TO THIS VERIZON.
Beware , we traded a phone in and kept waiting for the credit to show on our account and after months of not seeing a credit we contacted the store and the assistant manager Marco said after checking the phone credit was accidentally put on someone else’s account and it was being fixed and we would see the credit in a few weeks so we waited again with no results and contacted the store again and now the assistant manager Marco said he never told us anything and that we are lying and never traded the phone in , we have contacted corporate Verizon and they are launching a full investigation into the store .
The gentleman I dealt with on the phone was wonderful. The man I dealt with in person, was not. Pete at this store treated me like absolute garbage. I came in to get a new SIM card for my phone and the way he spoke and acted was down right disrespectful. Shouldnt treat customers like they are beneath you. On top of, I asked him if he could help me and he said no. Didnt even bother to see if I had authorized clearance on my phone account. Wish I dealt with the gentleman on the phone!
This place was an ABSOLUTE SCAM! Evidently there are corporate Verizon stores, and non-corporate stores ( such as this one). The non-corporate stores create their own prices and gouge the customer in a very dishonest way.To make a long story short, I was charged $560 for a phone (iPhone 6s) thats sold at corporate stores for $450. The store in Penn Yan also tacked on setup fees and then charged me a $70 restock fee when I returned the phone.What was even more aggravating was the salesmans denial when confronted about the high prices. He refused to admit that they raise their prices, and although the phone is clearly for sale on Verizons website for $450, he was adamant that all stores sell the phones for the same prices. Even when I came in with the receipt showing I got the same thing at a corporate store for $450 (out the door without any ridiculous fees) the salesman was baffled as to how I got the phone at that price. This is either a case of extreme ignorance or dishonesty, neither of which would surprise me after such an unprofessional experience.Even without the sneaky price hikes, the salesmen were very slow and seemingly incompetent (calling HQ to figure out how to activate and deactivate a phone). He also failed to let me know that my phone had arrived.This was by far my worst customer experience in recent memory. I should have shopped around more before coming here. Now Im out $70 and 3 hours of my life listening to their drivel.
Not very honest! I dealt with a rep (his name starts with J I was looking for a certain accessory. He told me they didnt carry it and it would cost over $50 through Apple. He then promptly tried to sell me something else. All seemed OK until he started to bash another Verizon store that I normally deal with. I shrugged that off as I am pretty loyal to them. I then found out the accessory I need was only $7.99 through Apple. It was then I realized he is a liar and cannot be trusted. Why do these kids act like this? Honesty and integrity goes a long way!
Picture this scene: 85 year old man with old I-phone (5 or 6) with new case and shield protector comes in - asks for help to replace cover and screen protector that a relative sent to him. Employee happy to help but manager stops her - tells elderly man the phone will be obsolete in 2 weeks and that they cannot help him and sends him on his way. WOW - DO YOU WANT TO GIVE THIS GRINCH YOUR BUSINESS????? Cant even help an old guy who just wants help updating the look of his old phone which he uses for phone calls only - will never be obsolete for that!! Pathetic customer service and pathetic way to treat others. Sad testament to the world we live in.
I am actually not a Verizon customer and I cant afford a Verizon plan right now. I was having an issue with my Virgin Mobile phone and one of the employees helped me even so. This incredible experience makes me feel much more likely to switch to Verizon some time in the future when I am able to budget for it. I will recommend this store and Verizon to friends and coworkers. Thanks again for the help!UPDATE: I decided to go ahead and switch to Verizon since the Virgin Mobile service is literally none out here. I recommend coming in with something to do because sometimes all the agents are tied up and you have to wait a bit. Charles Wise helped me get set up. He was patient and went through every part of the process with me. Another good experience at the Penn Yan Verizon store!

2022-07-20I want to thank Austin for his phenomenal customer service. He was vigilant in helping me to get my phone number switched from my previous carrier. It was a process about an hour and a half due to a block from my old provider. I offered to come back earlier the next day as it was past closing time. Austin wanted to get the process completed so I could walk out with my new phone. He was very patient courteous and did everything he could to assist me. I left with my new phone and same number. I couldnt be more grateful

2022-03-16Everyone at the store is very helpful, but Austin in particular stands out. He was very knowledgeable and genuinely concerned for our best interest. My husband and I were at the Verizon store to fix an issue (that wasnt really an issue) with his phone and Austin ended up upgrading my phone too.... for an amazing deal! (Bought my phone for roughly $200 a few years ago and he gave me $700 towards a trade in). While he was working with us there was a caller requesting to speak with him and he was very nonchalant when having a coworker sit with us while he helped a customer over the phone, then came right back to us to finish what he had started. His customer service is excellent and his IT knowledge is superb 👌. Thanks for all your help Austin!

2022-02-21Needed to replace the screen protector on my new phone. Eric was very helpful and I opted for the liquid glass protection. He carefully explained what I needed to do following the application. The end result is excellent.

2021-12-09I typically dread ever going to Verizon. For anything. Ever. But...I broke my phone and I needed a new one. RJ was awesome. The most pleasant Verizon experience Ive had. He was the only employee in attendance, but he balanced the 3-4 customers well, including an elderly lady with stereotypical issues. Serious retail skills. He also helped me select the best phone for me, not the biggest commission. Thanks RJ!

2021-09-14I stopped in this store on a road trip when my chargers got damaged. You wouldnt think youd say a stop to spend unexpected money would be fun.....but it was. Very helpful young men who answered other questions as well. Very pleasant atmosphere with prompt and friendly staff.
