Verizon in other cities:
I came across this verizon store after going to multiple locations and not getting the help I needed. The gentleman Omar who helped us was truly amazing along with his manager Davny. I got all the answers I needed plus more, I was able to make multiple purchases without any hassle or issues. It was the best experienced customer service I have ever received. Now anytime I need anything this is where I go. Thank you.
The service here was amazing! We came in without an appointment and they took us anyway and fit us in where someone canceled. Moose was very attentive and helpful and met all our needs while Aquil provided us with excellent customer service support! Would definitely recommend this Verizon store for any customer needs!!
I am a business owner right here in Massapequa NY. We are very busy and last week when my iphone 10 was completely destroyed at work, I found myself in the verizon store at 5:30 pm to get a new phone before business resumed the next day as my now damaged phone was unusable. First thing I noticed since my last visit was the store itself had a complete makeover . It was much more inviting and gave it a way better feel then previous . As I patiently waited to get helped . I met David Rosenberg the verizon business specialist in this location. He got me started with Omar Figueroa on getting me set up with a new phone . Because I opted to switch my long term personal cell phone over to my business we ran into a little trouble completing my purchase. Well let me tell you both David and Omar stayed with me until 8:30 pm to ensure I would be up and running without losing any important info or time when the next business day started. We spoke and joked while waiting on hold numerous times as they called verizon support to see my purchase through and get me back in business. THESE TWO gentlemen are $$$ for sure . Their customer service was outstanding. They went above and beyond and they helped renew my belief that Verizon Wireless is the best cell service available to consumers. Thank you both for your hard work and dedication to your work. It is my sincere hope that your store manager sees this review and commends you for your outstanding customer service . See you guys soon. - Matthew Anderson
This place is a JOKE!! The front door was unlocked and I walked in looking for help since I have mutiple lines with mutiple accounts both business and personal. It was almost closing time, but instead of acting like you have some sense and are a professional establishment representing a top teir tele communications company, you rush me at the door, walking right up to my face ( covid-19 ) with your hands sliding acrross your throat in gesture that your closed like we are savages in a fleamarket all because you dont want to do your job. If you were closed maybe you should have locked the door. If you did not want to help me at least approach me with respect and professionalism and not BULLY ME OUT OF THE STORE. This place is a joke. AVOID THIS MIS-MANAGED GROUP OF UNEDUCTAED RUDE SERVICE WORKERS WHO JUST SO HAPPEN TO BE WEARING VERIZON STAFF OUTFITS. HALF-STAR....
Try to avoid this store at all costs. The manager, apparently, allows for regular employees like, solution “specialist” Dave, to claim that he is one of the “managers” in order to avoid having to resolve issues themselves... not only was I refused a real manager, but was treated in a condescending and disrespectful fashion by this employee whom claimed to be one...I was advised by customer service to come to this store for a smooth transition to switch over from my previous carrier. All that I needed was a sim-card that I was, in fact, authorized and entitled to receive. However, there was a discrepancy in their system that was easily rectified; especially, when the discrepancy had been acknowledged by this “manager”. When I asked, after initially having spent an hour in their parking lot, waiting for customer service to resolve, they were also baffled by what I was asking of them; furthermore, have never experienced this issue ever before. They had even suggested that I go to the Merrick Store instead (which I will do from now on) and were willing to reach out to them for assistance. After having asked to speak to a real manager, again, I was then advised that it would be “over an hour” for the wait, expressed in a very condescending tone. Not once, have I ever been treated with such disregard, by any wireless store in my entire life. Not only was he unwilling, condescending and disrespectful, it seemed like, because I was all “greased up” after having worked on my project car, that I wasn’t welcomed there or that I’m just “too dirty” to be treated with respect. “One should never judge a book by its cover.”Finally after 2 hours, of being on the phone with customer service, while waiting in front, in the cold, one of the other reps finally came to assist and provide me with the lousy sim-card for activation — it should not take your entire day to get this resolved, let alone be disrespected by a mediocre employee that claimed to be a “manager” when he doesn’t even wield the skills to resolve a minor discrepancy in your system nor keep himself from disrespecting customers — what a joke.
I told Jason and Mousse what I needed and they were so amazingly helpful. They took the time to explain everything, answer my questions and find me a product that fit what I needed! No B.S., and it didn’t take long at all. Great customer service- they make you feel like the most important customer!
Ive been a customer of Verizon for a very long time and Ive come to this location many times. Like any corporate store youre treated better than a non-corporate store. Nevertheless sales people will always be sales people no matter what. Promise more than they can commit to and then have to deal with customer service on the phone later on. Not all sales people are created equal..... there are some awesome people Ive dealt with and still remain with the company and Ive seen through many different locations and they are the ones that make the company look great.
I had issues with my phone yesterday on 12-2-16. After a lengthy wait I was helped by an associate by the name of David. He went through a series of resetting my phone. I also, had another phone added to a current line. While waiting for the new phone activation I noticed that my phone still wasnt working properly. After 2 attempts David decided that my phone was damaged. He stated that I was due for an upgrade which I was going to do but he also informed me that I had insurance on the phone and that I could get a replacement today 12-3-16. I figured why purchase another phone if I would have another with the insurance in 24 hours. I explained to him that I need my phone but it shouldnt be too bad to be without one for 24 hours. As time passed by today without a replacement phone from FedEx I called the store and told an associate that I still havent received my phone from FedEx. He asked me did I pay an additional fee to have the phone delivered today since it was on a Saturday. I told him no because David didnt mention it and he assured me that I would have it today. I drove to the store to possibly buy a phone because I have a daughter in the military overseas and a son in college out of state. I also wanted to make a complaint on the false assurances that David had given me. I couldnt purchase another phone because the insured phone is in transit so Ill have to wait until Monday for a phone after all. If I knew that I couldnt get a phone until Monday I would of just purchased a phone yesterday. If it werent for an very helpful associate named Tara I would definitely have a totally negative review. To top things off David saw me in the store and knew what my issues were and he never came to offer an apology. Thats poor customer service!!
First time I have been there since they got a new machine you can pay your bill with.....have to say I dont like it . The old machine was a lot faster ..... you would put your phone number in and then it would scan your check and you were done . now ... phone number. then routing number and account number twice... definitely takes a lot longer 👎
I live 2 blocks from it. It is on sunrise hwy but I just started frequenting the one in Levitown, since Im in that area more. Since it was snowing heavily, and w the pandemic, all customers had to wait in their cars until called. But it was very organized and there was a gentleman opening the door for each customer. I wasnt waiting long, and was assisted by a polite gentleman who was very patient w me, as I am not literate in technology. It was a simple problem, I finished in minutes.
Absoulutey a terrible customer service experience at this location, which I had to share with my family and friends. All the bad reviews that this location received is true. The salesperson was very rude and made me feel like an idiot. It seems to me all they want to do is to sell you a ver expensive phone or an upgrade on the phone you have. I have never been so frustrated in my life with such bad customer service. When I signed in I was told there would be a 15 minute wait and I said Oh thats not bad at all he then replied, I meant 15 hours and laughed I did not go to Verizon for a comedy act but for good customer service which I did not receive!!! A few days later, when I recovered from this bad experience I went to another Verizon location (Sunrise Hwy in Merrick) and received outstanding customer experience!!
Went in to replace my broken phone and upgrade my plan. I knew that I wanted to get a screen protector and phone case as well.If they say that they have a rebate code for you to complete, DONT DO IT. The code they gave me was expired and they sold me on some extra accessories and certain things because of that code and then verizon wont honor it. Useless sales reps just trying to make money and dont care about being honest
While I was able to speak with someone right away, the service in general is very slow. It seems as if they are typing on their computers/ipads forever without much customer interaction.I had an issue with a phone and they were able to do NOTHING to assist me for a Verizon purchased phone, still under warranty, that had failed to receive a software update properly via Verizons own utility and was effectively turned into a paperweight. The best they could do was ship me a new one in 2 days.I has asked why they didnt have any replacement phones in stock like they had in the past. They noted that no Verizon Wireless store does that any more. I asked what the point of the store was since they were completely unable to assist me in a timely fashion. I got a response of there are other reasons, but they didnt seem willing or able to elaborate on those other reasons. I suspect that they are more than willing to take your $$$$ if you wanted to buy a new phone, but thats about it.The worst part about all of it was no one in the store seemed to care at all.
All they wanted to do was sell me an iPhone. As soon as I said I didnt want any apple products it was like I didnt exist. No desire to help me with my current phone issues, talked to me like I was stupid, the insurance for repairs is beyond convoluted. I almost cancelled my Verizon account then and there. Wound up going to Best Buy.Never going to this Verizon store ever again, or any others if I can help it.
I had a great experience here it was nice to walk into a phone store and be made to feel welcome instead of being made to feel as though I should be thankful for them having turn the lights on. I cannot wait to become a member of the Verizon family. I cant wait to tell Sprint to kiss my ass
This is only a retail location. All they care about is sales, if something happens to your phone you have to go through an automated system now for a replacement... Save yourself time and trouble, purchase your cell phones through Best buy where there is onsite tech support and replacement!!! I have been without a phone for 5 days now, and last time my phone broke, 2 weeks without a phone with their online/off-site tech support.
I have been a Verizion customer for a long time... I left At&t to go back to Verizion. I was approached by a sales person by the name of max that was nasty,And only wanted a sale not an exchange...if he would have looked and seen that I just spent a lot of money there... sooo Johnny the manager got involved and said I’m going to do you this favor but you will never exchange it here again for free... so I gave him the charger back and called Verizion.. guess what I got my charger anyway. (Stay away from that store)Thank you to Verizion worker John his amazing. This worker was on the Verizion phone call until I received my charger from a different store...Now that’s customer service Above and beyond.I see that my comment has been noticed. And I also noticed all the other negative comments have been answered. If you were going to fix this problem this would have never happened again.
I have been a Verizon customer for 16 years and I am completely shocked by your corporate customer service supervisor and your store manager Louis. Recently I have noticed a phone being charged on my account that should have been given as a buy one get one Father’s Day promotion. However because I didn’t turn on my 10 year old sons phone. Verizon voided the promotion and charged me for the phone. At no time did anybody at the store explain this to us. The phone was turned on a couple of week after it was brought home and in use since August. Your corporate customer service department declined my dispute and said that I will have to pay for the phone. Your store manager Louis has is going me the run around. I am shocked by the level of disrespect I have received from your company.
Dealt with a very professional sales associate, Kathleen. Called prior to discuss available data plans and made an appointment over the phone, which I highly advise. She kept to the appointment time, so very little wait, and kept to the price she quoted with no attempt to upsell. She displayed many ancillary products (case, screen protector, etc.) but did not hard sell. The store is overrun with salespeople so a little intimidating when you first walk in, which is why I suggest making an appointment.
UPDATE: my latest bill from Verizon is over $300!!!! I look at the charges and I have a $160 cancellation fee for this “FREE” jet pack that was given to me. That customer service apologized for and credited me to 2 months of the monthly charges for it.I would avoid this store at all costs!!!! Their salesmen are scam artists!!! I went there in Jan to upgrade and was given a “FREE” jet pack, that I never wanted or asked for. In fact, to this day I have never used it. Don’t even know what it is for. Well they convinced me to switch to paperless billing to save $10 a month. That was my mistake because I never really looked at the bill because it was the same amount every month. Until I recently went online to look for an upgraded phone and saw that I had a 3rd device on my acct that was charging me $20 a month!!!! Finally come to find out that it is the free jet pack that I was given. So I chatted with a rep online and I could only be reimbursed the past 2 months. So the “FREE” jet pack only cost me $180!!!!!
Yesterday, I spoke on the phone with Sharie, a wonderful representative from Verizon, who was ready to help me get my note 9. I told her I would prefer to go to my local store and get it. She found the massapequa location for me and gave all the information I needed. Just an hour ago, I went in and there was a man in the front lost in his phone and I assumed he was a customer until when I almost passed him, he stopped me to check in and looking closer at him his name tag said store manager. So I checked in and he told I was free to look around until Im called. He went right back to his phone to be absent from the world again. So about 3 minutes or so a young man came up to me very pleasantly and introduced himself. I told him I wanted to upgrade my phone and explained to him what Sharie and I discussed. He took my I.d and checked my account. He then said she gave me wrong information and Id have to buy out the phone to trade it in and told me the trade in value. I told him Id call again and try to get the phone that way. So I call Verizon again and spoke with Austin. He listened and searched and realized that I had my s8 before Samsung changed the upgrade process. Suffice to say, my note 9 is on the way. I did not have to buy out my phone like the young man told me at the store. That would mean I own the phone and have all right to keep it ,which would not be an upgrade. All I paid was the taxes and upgrade fee. It only takes a few seconds to ask questions, which the guy at the massapequa store didnt do. All though Austin said he was not all wrong, I would have appreciated him looking further or even calling the manager or Verizon. He kept saying No, well you were given wrong information and Im not sure why she told you that three times, while now Im confused and disappointed as I was hoping to walk out with a phone. He didnt even take my phone to inspect it or give it to the person who does that. I saw in his body language that he was ready to move on to a new customer, so I left. Just a bit of initiative goes a long way!!!
Came here several weeks ago to replace my lost phone. The guy I dealt with insisted that I also take this “Hum Jet Pack”, - a gadget that tracks and evaluates every move you make while driving. He kept telling me lie after lie how it would be a “better deal” if I took all these extra Bells and Whistles. But he refused to show me a layout of my future monthly bill on his Tablet. Instead he kept scribbling numbers on a pad, that he insisted were better than my previous numbers, because it was a Promotion. But one favor he did tell me was that I could return all the Bells and Whistles within 30 days if I chose. Based on this knowledge, I decided to take a chance and took the whole package.Sure enough, when I later called their Hot Line, I found out I was being billed for 2 extra Phone Lines in order to carry all this stuff! So I went back to the store to try and return it, and of course I ended up dealing with the same guy who sold it to me in the first place. Somehow, he convinced me that if I dropped my Insurance on the new phone, that my total bill, would only be $10.00 more than before. I accepted that, as I have Double the Storage on my new phone.Still feeling uneasy after this 2nd encounter, I knew that my next chance to see what was really happening was to wait for the Bill Cycle to renew, and when that happened, I was shocked. The Bill was over $50 more than what I was previously paying. So I had to find a different “Verizon Corporate Store” in order to return all the Bells and Whistles. And to not have to deal with that same Con Man.Austin over at the East Northport Store was great. He took all the extras back, no questions asked, and now, with a bigger better Phone, my Bill is $25 LESS than before, rather than $50 more. But I have to wonder though: Is Verizon failing, and getting desperate by doing business like this? Or are these just solely the actions of a rogue Con Man in their store?
Was dealing with Jason Davidson and the STORE MANGER Johnny... They spent 2 hours trying to setup a business plan for me with transferring my existing number and adding 2nd phone (new number) to the “new plan”. After 2 hours they decide to tell me they are un able to transfer the loan of my current phone over to my new plan.. which would lead me to buy my outdating phone by buying it out. Just to start a new plan.. never was I told about this from the start and you would think the sales speacialist and the STORE MANGER would be aware before wasting 2 hours of my time! They need a training course to brush up on how Verizon works.. very disappointed. If I had looked at the reviews on yelp I would have never walked in here.
People in the store are good but your TV Verizon customer service are horrible on hold for 3 hours and then they hang up I have a work order Im just trying to get an appointment but another two hours and another hang up you should think about fire them Im going to ask for a call back tomorrow if they dont call Ill take my service elsewhere but again people that are trying to order customer service is horrible
I have been a loyal Verizon customer since 1993, then when Verizon fios came into our area. Which was the first area in Nassau county I signed up. I have had my share of mishaps and changes that I wasnt always happy with over the years, but we always worked it out. But recently we were unable to view most of our stations, on any of our televisions. It took Verizon a week to determine it was the main set top box causing the problem. And then it took Verizon another week for them to ship me a new box. They provided us with a UPS label so that we could ship them back the NON working box. Which we did, now three months later they tell us they cannot locate that box. And they are looking to charge us $375.00 for a box that doesnt even work. So I asked Verizon to provide me with the UPS # so that we can track it. They said they didnt have that information, but they said they pinged the old box and can tell that nobody is using it. But that I am still responsible for it. I guess when a company gets so big it cant even get out of its own way. And when something like this happens to a customer, which has been loyal for 25 years. And the best they can say is that they are sorry, its time to move on. And its nice to know that I can also save some big money by switching to optimum. So now I also need to find a reliable cellphone plan elsewhere as well. And the next change will be my business account, good luck to you Verizon in 2019 with your poor business practices.
Worst location I have ever experienced. Taking the drive to Smithtown is totally worth it. We worked with David or I should say attempted to.We were looking for a new Phone for my mother. Since she is on a shared plan, the employee David wasnt able to speak to us without the account manager present. Over the past 6 years this has never been an issue even when weve upgraded her phone at Best Buy once over the above time frame. When asked David to explain what type of options she may have, David wouldnt attempt to explain what the different phone plans were and when we asked what her hypothetical options would be, he replied, and I quote it would take to long to explain.Since David was clearly unwilling to provide an ounce of customer service to my mother. I asked if he was willing to assisting with a far more remedial task of moving an iPad off of my girl friends account to mine. This he was willing to do as a task such as this was very easy to complete. Before being able to though, my Girl friend had to go out to the car to provide her ID. As she ran out to the car, instead of David attempting to make small talk, David stood in front of us and started going through facebook ( I was standing next to him and could see his phone screen). He didnt say a word till she returned. After reviewing her ID he completed the switch and we left.I would not recommend this location, but if this is the closest location for you, deff avoid David as he was short, rude, and unwilling to explain any type of option to our Family.
I went in there to have my cracked otter box replaced (which is under warranty ) and the service rep Marc was rude and dismissive. He unwilling to help other then telling me I could buy another otterbox from their online store. Verizion is always willing to help when I need it.Dear Marc Let me know how that work ethic works out for you when looking to climb the corporate ladder. You should take pride in your work.
There are other Verizon stores. Find one. After getting a new phone from this store I started getting spam texts, despite my number being on the Federal Do Not Call Registry for years and never getting a spam text before. Did the Verizon store sell my phone number to advertisers? Yep. Then the store itself sent me texts trying to get me come back in to buy ridiculously overpriced accessories. If you value your privacy, go elsewhere.
I’m just finishing up with my transactions at Verizon in Massapequa Store when I came here I was very frustrated, with mi new I phone 11My I Pad my Hum account , he is the sharpestmost experienced service employee I haveWorked with, he straightened everything outand explained all to me I also purchased more items from Verizon, because I trust OmarYour lucky to have someone like OmarWorking for VerizonSincerely Alex A Struzzieri
I went to return cable tv equipment. I wasnt sure if this location takes the router . They said no. They gave a list of locations . Kind of far so I asked about the copiague ny location . He refused to look on the computer or call .the salesman did nothing to help me . Instead he ignored me like I wasnt there and went to another customer in my time of needing help. I am so angry at the cold shoulder I got when I needed help. This massapequa location is terrible
Stalin is the WORST! After 40 minutes of waiting to discuss a fee that was added to my Verizon Bill, Stalin kept blaming a change of phone service charge on the Apple store.Stalin said I could waive this fee but am choosing not to because you bought your iPhone from the Apple store. He kept saying he could fix my problem but was choosing not to. He gave me a list of phone numbers to call that hang up on me immediately after calling.More to say. Did I mention I waited 40 minutes sitting by the window sill for Stalin to say more than once I could fix this but am not because the apple store made the fee happen.
I went in to upgrade two phones. The wait was long. We were helped by Eric who was excellent. Very patient and helpful. There were a few errors / delays throughout the process that were out of his control but he did great helping us work around them and in the end he made the experience much smoother than it should have been!

2022-05-31I called for help with transferring phone data. My phone screen broke and I needed to transfer one phones data to another. I kept the worker on the phone for forever because the screen of one was broken and the other phone was dying and wouldnt charge due to water in the port. He waited with me for the phone to stop bugging and for the phone to charge. The workers name was George. He was totally patient, totally polite, and spoke clearly so I understood everything he needed. He answered all of my questions. I havent had many experiences with this Verizon but this experience was amazing. I got exactly what I needed and more.

2022-06-23Deceptive sales practices. Sells maintenance contract but doesnt mention huge deductibles. Cant return defective accessories at the store, must mail to manufacturer at own expense and wait 2 weeks for replacement to arrive. Inexperienced sales people; know little about the products they sell. Doesnt offer to install screen protectors. Arrogant Manager. On and on...Go to the Verizon store in Hicksville on Old Country Road. Good honest people, in contrast to this den of thieves.

2022-05-10I had an appointment to update my phone, which I had made days before and received multiple confirmations. When I arrived at the store, I was told that it was impossible that I had an appointment because they do not make appointments at that time. The employee was rude and unapologetic and treated me as if I was in the wrong even though I showed him the confirmation. I have been a customer for many years and have always shopped there. Never again.

2022-06-08Took a friend there with her iphone that had a problem. Even though they could not fix it they took the time to tell her to take it to the Apple Store. They did try.

2021-12-31We were there a few days ago to update our phones. It was a long wait. With only two people ahead of us we waited for about 45 minutes. This was the third time we were there and they were not helpful to us again, being a waste of our time. We were with this company for about 10 years and they dont care to offer any promotions, unless you get the unlimited data plan that costs a lot more money. I also saved our monthly rewards for last two years and accumulated $105 that I tried to buy phone accessories online, as they claimed to be valid for and just wasted another hour. Their chat representative said afterwards that you cant use them unless you upgrade for unlimited plan. Verizon doesnt care about old clients and thats a shame. Im glad we left them and we found T Mobile with much better prices and services.

2021-11-21We can’t thank Ryan enough. My husband and I wanted to purchase new phones before the holidays. We weren’t looking forward to it because we’ve had bad experiences in the past. However, Ryan helped us tremendously and made the process smooth and actually enjoyable. He was able to answer all of our questions and then some. When it was time to activate our phones, we made sure to go back and make an appointment to work with him again. If you are trying to get any kind of money for your current phone, go to UbreakIfix before you go to Verizon. Make sure your screen isn’t cracked and everything is in perfect condition. You can file a claim as long as you have insurance for your current phone and it won’t be very expensive to fix your phone.

2021-10-19Great, friendly service. I got a new phone today, and Frank helped me. He was great, and things went smoothly. About a month ago, I got my daughters phone upgraded, and Moe helped us. Moe was outstanding as well. There were some issues with my daughters phone, and the transfer to the new phone was challenging. Moe made the best of a tough situation, and helped navigate the technical difficulties. Been going here for years and will continue to do so.

2021-07-12This was my first time going to this store. When I got there, I was told there would be an hour and a half wait. The manager heard this and although they were very busy, he helped me with my issue and was able to do what I needed done. He was very professional and answered all of my questions. This was a great experience and I will definitely return for any future Verizon stuff!

2022-05-13Thus store is a nightmare . They have 3 people helping customers on a Friday afternoon and that iss insane
