Verizon in other cities:
Left the store thinking I had great service. Got home and realized they failed to transfer my AppleCare on my iPhone 12. On hold for over 30 minutes although I called right when the store opened. They also said I could trade in my phone but forgot to give me a shipping label. Had to call Verizon myself and now it has to be mailed to me. Not happy with this location. Wouldn’t come here againUpdateI went back to the store and they were very helpful. It was a misunderstanding on my part. I appreciated the professionalism given
My experience last week was positive, considering I was initially disappointed to hear you folks would not be transferring info from the old phone to the new one for me. As it turns out, once I got the phone, it was surprisingly easy to follow the instructions on the screen. In the store, Gerard was very helpful and particularly patient with me during my decision process. Appreciated his calm and pleasant demeanor as well as his efforts to get me the phone I really wanted.
Inept staff who are unwilling to help customer. Paid &39.99 for a screen protector and when I went back three weeks later because it bubbled from their install they refused to make it right. I know need to pay &7.95 for a new item through insurance. Workers walked to the back room and left me out front not to deal with me. Stay far away from this store they have no idea how to treat a customer. Shame on Verizon.
I bought my phone here 3 years ago so I went back yesterday for a new phone. Not only did the sales girl not have knowledge between the new models but she told me to tap on each one wall sample to read the differences myself. Happy to share her name if management wants it.
The representative was extremely helpful, but Verizons operative system is a mess that made it impossible for me to upgrade. The System was constantly crashing we had to start over 5 times. How many ID verification do you need after a sent picture ID, submit multiple verification codes and even reset my password twice cause the system didnt recognize it, even tho the app in the phone did. Sad.
Super friendly and helpful staff. I visited to get new service on a new device and I was in and out in 20 minutes. Felt totally confident that everything I needed was done before I left. (Unlike other places where it seems like they just want you to stop bothering them!)
When I set up a phone line, they were nice and helpful, but then I noticed they mistakenly put the down payment on the wrong phone. When I went back, they tried to charge me a bunch of fees to fix their mistake. They sent a rude, unyielding rep to talk to me and though I waited over 30 minutes as she went back and forth to forward my questions to her manager, she could not do anything for me. As I waited, I watched the employees mock protesters outside the store, who were demanding better wages and benefits at Verizon. Very ironic and disgusting.
Terrible service, had to go back and forth several times till they released the phone I bought online. I had my ID as well as the card I purchased the phone with, but for them it wasnt enough. I had to get creative and fool them in order to get them to release it. And even then they called me back a day later because they forgot to ask for my signature...There are plenty nice Verizon stores out there, I learned the lesson, avoid this one!
Amazing customer service, the staff is very helpful and responsive. Had an issue about a month ago, Dani made sure to note down the details with the floor manager; which solved everything in a jiffy. Highly recommend visiting if you’re looking to switch providers or if you’re looking to purchase
I purchased a phone here. This was the second Verizon official store I went too and the service was not very good at all. They were not very knowledgeable about the phone. I asked about help getting my data transferred over but was told I needed to do it on my own. I asked about getting help with moving my sd card to the new phone and asked for a tool to do so. I was told it might be in the box. The service for Verizon in this community is just too poor to justify their cost. There were several other people in the store that receive very limited and unknowledgeable service.
Picked up my new phone and was told no activation required in store. Upon arriving home I realized that they didn’t put a SIM card in the bag (although it’s listed on the order sheet they gave me). So my phone is a glorified WiFi tablet until I go back to the store tomorrow to get one. Besides that, pleasant staff and nice looking store.
Switched to Verizon about two years ago and could not be happier. Went to this store when I got my phone and they customer service is excellent. The store is clean and well stocked. The sales reps, shout out to Stephen was super friendly and professional. Im not sure why so many poor reviews but the store is great give it a chance you will not be disappointed.
Great service, bought 3 iPhones here and it’s the only Verizon store I go to. The whole team is friendly and knowledgeable. Any questions you have about any phone or service can be answered which is very helpful, we’ve all been to that store where they dance around questions.. This store ain’t it. A+++
Was there a few weeks ago and greeted by a female sales employee coldly. Not helpful when you asked a question. I was not impressed by way she handled herself, like my presence was not wanted there when I told her I would be back to make a decision about purchasing a phone.
This was my first time at Verizon, and I get why this company is recognized for its outstanding care in the customer care category, Cherise and Cami went out of their way to make sure I had the best plans, offerings and found discounts to support me with everything that I needed!
I just got to the store at 7:29. The manager looked at me like I was crazy for trying to come in to exchange something just before they closed. I told him that I actually work for Verizon and he rather unapologetically told me he still couldn’t help me! I’m a Verizon employee and I am giving this store 1 Star. You need to do better!
Worst service ever and if I can, Ill never ever like to have a business association with Verizon (FiOS). Wish, there was an option to give negative ratings on this page and I would have gladly done so.Edward (known by Ed) is FiOS representative in this store. When I moved to NYC from West coast he sold me an internet+cable plan telling all the benefits and promising a $400 VISA card as a promotional offer if I sign-up the same day. Not knowing that this is a sham in making I went ahead, signed up, paid necessary fees and waited for 3 months after which I was supposed to get my VISA card delivered. Guess what? Nothing came in mail, and I decided to pay a visit to store again and talk with him. He recognized me and said, let me check, went behind the counter and said, seems like something went wrong, and Ive fixed it, youll get card in next 15 days. And, you got it right, nothing happened again. I went back, this time he says, my supervisor is here, lets talk to him. I sat in store for 30 mins and there was no supervisor. Ed tells me that seems like he is taking longer than expected and why dont you go back & Ill request him to call you back. the day, passes and so does the week, no one calls. I mustve made 10 visits after that and everytime I was told, let me say him to call you back but I never heard back from anyone. One fine day, I stormed into the store and asked for supervisors #. Ed gave me his # I called him up. Guy on the other side of phone says, Im sorry sir, let me investigate this and Ill get back to you by EOD today. This was a sigh of relief! However, he is Eds supervisor so what can you expect? He never calls back too and to make it worse he stopped answering my calls. I called him from my home # this time and he answers and makes lame excuses that I was about to call you, I tried calling you, but didnt leave a VM etc. etc.. Nevertheless, I asked him that, where is my $400 card and he says that, do youve any written evidence that it was promised and what can I say, all I could say was that I trust Verizon rep. (Ed in this case) as you trust your customer and No, I dont have any written evidences for this. This guy now, says, let me take an exceptional approval, and get it facilitated for you. Days, became weeks and weeks became months but I havent heard back from him at all.Its not a matter of $400 anymore now, its more about how Verizon fools its customers, train its sales associates to throw scams around to get a wider customer base, and how less they care about a customer once sale has been made.Worst telecom service providers service ever !!
Verizon charges you a $30 Upgrade Fee to buy a new phone. They charge you this on top of the cost of the new phone and also regardless if you have owned the older phone for two years and are simply getting a replacement. The phone I bought was a less expensive phone than the one I was replacing, yet they still called it an Upgrade Fee. I asked the sales person if I was to go online and buy the phone for less money and then bring it in, would he charge me this fee. He said no, there would be no charge. I recommend buying your phone from the manufacturer or from Amazon, then bring in your new phone to Verizon to activate. This way you get the phone for less than Verizon charges and you dont need to pay the upgrade fee.
Total Plan Protection offered by Verizon and Asurion is bogus. Do not purchase this service. It took 66 days and $2500 in total costs to regain service for a $900 phone. Total Plan Protection is a sham for international cases and the service is so poorly implemented that it costs consumers more than the retail value of the phone, while simultaneously denying mobile service to the end user. Neither company cares about its consumers whatsoever, who I contacted a dozen times, with every representative providing contradictory misinformation. I have left Verizon and Asurion for good.Total Plan Protection was added to my plan without my consent, but I kept it since I was traveling abroad. When my phone was stolen abroad, I submitted a claim and it was shipped to my US address since there was no option for international delivery. No prior notification that there would be a $200 shipping charge. No document or status updates at any point during the claims process. Verizon said it could be activated abroad, so I paid $300 in shipping plus $1000 in import taxes to have it forwarded. When I finally received it, I called Asurion to activate it, who forwarded me to Verizon, who said it couldnt be activated outside the US. So I paid $1500 to have a dead phone delivered, at Verizons direction, which was useless to me for 9 weeks until I returned to the US to have it activated. Terrible communication with Asurion and Verizon during this process, which has made for a miserable experience.
Yesterday I purchased an iPhone 8 plus from this store. I made it very very very clear to the Sales representative that I have metropcs, and that I was not looking to switch services, I was just looking to purchase the phone. He told me that it would not be a problem because the phone is unlocked, and I could go into metropcs to have my phone number transferred to this new phone. However, he said the only way that I can sell you this phone is along with a prepaid number but you can have your number from metro transferred. Yeah riiiight it was a nightmare..... I was on the phone with Verizon and went into metropcs twice in which the rep told me no the phone is locked. I was able to bring the phone back to the Co or city Verizon store. The rep there understood my frustration (Thank God) and assisted me in getting a full refund.
I was un able to pay my first month so i went to this store to pay with my passport they said that that wasnt enough and the manager demanded my social security and i did not provided it. Then they wanted more info and in said my passport was enough they blocked my account and placed my account on identify theft !
I went during off peak, no line, and this tech guy with Korean accent helped me and he was rude. He said, So then, do it..that is what you chose to do, so.. He really did not want to help. Was annoyed with every question I asked. He made me so uncomfortable that I was not able to ask all the questions I wanted.
To Verizon, I’m a veteran And is still in the United States Marine Corps. If this is the way Verizon doesn’t business and treats veterans they are wrong. I have service with Verizon for several years, giving back to a United States Product. No one wants to be responsible for servicing this pole behind my house. I notified PSE&G that it was a electrical pole behind my house in elmont that was cracked and broken. The pole has both electrical and cable wires attached. PSE&G stated that it’s a verizon pole, Verizon also stated that it’s PSE&G Pole. Who is responsible for this pole. This pole also caused damages to my house.
Got a telemarketing robo call for this garbage business. After 1 minute of un-interruptible blather, the thing said press any key for a call back. Or dial 416*****003 or something to be placed on the do not call list. Verizon, thanks for sucking so much. You win the suckternet.

2022-04-24One of the first customers to order the new home internet… our box dies, and we’ve been without internet for WEEKS. Verizon won’t send a new router, they keep trouble shooting and then making new support tickets through a mythical land of “tier 2”. STEER CLEAR. I’ll leave a 1 star review on every single Verizon store until someone fixes our internet or sends us a new home wifi box. This is beyond ridiculous. I’m tired of spending hours on the phone with customer care to be told, “it will be 7-10 days.” Then another 2 hours, do the same trouble shooting steps, and, oh yeah, we need to make a ticket. It will be more time, and more time, and more time! Go get ATT, Comcast, Xfinity, whatever. Verizon doesn’t have it together yet.

2022-08-15Didnt anticipate that Id feel compelled to write a review for what Id believed would be a straightforward retail transaction. Though Kammy and Alexandria provided such excellent customer service that I needed to share my appreciation.First, they suggested specific ways to set up an LTE account for my Surface that I didnt even know existed. Then they walked me through the full technical process to get it working -- troubleshooting a number of aspects along the way.Not to mention, they answered 100% of my difficult questions about how to set up a business account.Im grateful for the efforts. Thank you!

2022-05-19If I can give this place NO STARS I would. I came into the store to pick up my phone that I have placed and order online. Rachel Charles told me that it wasnt ready, before I came in I spoke with a Verizon staff member and they told me it was ready. I asked how long and they said they are having a problem with the orders going thru. I told her can we maybe cancel it and start a new order IN STORE. She refused. I asked can you maybe call Verizon and see whats taking so long for the order to come thru, She gave me a very unprofessional attitude. Went in the back to CALL her co-worker Dennis Bourne comes over to me and with an very unprofessional tone tells me that Im not understanding and he understands her. I told him you dont need to be so rude he tells me I started it. All I wanted was the phone. I felt like I was attacked in this store. Maybe because i was white they didnt want to help me.

2022-02-16DO NOT COME HERE FOR BUSINESSWould give a 0 if needed.I came in to buy a charger. Ended up going to TMobile where we were treated better and we are Verizon customers. Says alot about business ethics.Everyone was busy so I was looking at phones. Not a min goes by and a staff moves me away from the merchandise when he saw I was not going to buy but needed repair. We were treated like thieves.I saw the staff a woman and a tall bald male just chatting away. When I left I said my lunch hour is over after waiting 25 min. There was 3 other customer in the store. The guy got an attitude and tells me they were waiting and I should have reminded them. Just to clarify it was not the womans fault. The racist guy never told her we were waiting. They were leisurely chatting away with us in plain view waiting. Its not the customers job to predict if a staff is busy or not.

2022-03-28Full bait & switch explained promos and rebate, and then when application and activation complete pretty much denied and lied about it. Gave me $300 less than the original amount.I had confirmed the promo 2x with store manager and once again with assistant manager.

2021-12-13I just wanted to Thank Kevin the store manager at this location. I have been trying to get my situation solved with Verizon for the past 5 days--I finally gave up on the phone and came to the store. The staff at this location was very friendly. Kevin was able to get on the phone with Verizon and solved my issue with a few min. I am very grateful for their service and I will definitely come back with any issues in the near future. To Kevin and his kind staff. Thank you for the excellent customer service.PS> if you dont wanna wear your mask dont come in, they really on it and I appreciate the safety measure they are taking.

2021-12-04Great experience - professional, quick. It was probably mostly due to making an appointment later in the day (5pm) it being a business account (20 lines or so) but I couldnt have had a better experience (at a phone store). Two reps helped us immediately and worked with us for over an hour and were knowledgeable, patient, chill and quick. We had to do a bunch of things and they handled all of them and even solved an issue with an ipad from an employee who left without giving up his password. Was even going to help me turn off my phone from connecting to Verizons trash 5G network but we all forgot. Ill be back for that... if only Verizons 5g network was more like this Verizon branch, maybe I would switch from AT&T.

2021-08-09Pretty terrible experience. I dont know if this all Verizon stores, but if youre looking to buy a $1200 phone it would be great if it had a security wire longer than 6. You can barely hold the thing, you certainly cant take a picture with it, the bulky security device cant give you an idea of what it weighs. Basically anything you would want/need to do to evaluate the phone you cant do. Pretty terrible customer service experience.
