Workers were extremely unhelpful. Store is understocked. Rather then seeing I was frustrated from the their store and my day and accommodating they just piled on. Sent me to another store that was “stocked” which wasn’t and they failed to explain my options to me that would’ve gotten me to purchase at their store and saved me 2 hours of my life. Don’t go to this store unless you’re desperate
A few employees at this store can learn a thing OR two from Chris (very charismatic and knowledgeable employee)! I spent an hour in this store for the simplest issue with adjusting the display on my screen and no one could help me or even seem like they cared to. After a few conversations with a few different employees they all started to basically ignore me, roll their eyes and EVEN suggest that maybe I should just get a new phone and pay the restock fee (mind you I had just got the phone that same day)! Chris came into work just as I was about to hopelessly leave and fixed the issue within two minutes! Its mind-boggling to me that the other employees suggested I needed a completely new phone for such a simple issue. They shrugged off a very clear issue between the screen display on my old phone looking better than the new one! Proper training on all devices will do these folks a great good in that department BUT the i dont wanna be at work/nonchalant attitude is going to need some help from HR!
This place needs to be shut down. My elderly parents went in to pay a 400+ verizon bill and got scammed by the staff in this location. No billed was payed and the literally stole there cash and claims there bill was paid, but there was no receipt to prove it, leaving my parents out of $400+ in cash. They then received a new verizon bill at $600+. I, including them, Contacted the store, verizon store managers / staff, even spoke to verizon over phone, nothing done, they still got charged 600+.. so 400+ magically disappeared. Thats $1000 that had to be shelled out due to these crooks during a pandemic. Do not go into this place. There up to no good.
Kirk greeted me at the door as soon as I walked in and assisted me right away. He was able to quickly help me with my needs. I was switching from Sprint to Verizon and he was a great first example of the customer service Verizon provides. He was very helpful the whole time and never made me feel like I was taking up his time but instead made me feel welcome and appreciated as a customer. I highly recommend this Verizon store and Kirk.
I will never go to this Verizon again.the lady who was working the door on Sunday October 25th at11:00 a.m. was very rude to me. When we got there she informed us we could not go into the store because they were a one-to-one store.??? I said what does that mean? She said they couldnt have any more than 18 people including employees at the store I said ok. So they took my sons phone number and said they would text us when they were ready. In about 10 minutes we received a text and went to the front door. I was then informed by the same lady that that text was not the text to come inside that was just the text that we were next in line?????? Ok?????? Not really sure why I needed that text. So my son and I decided just to stand by the door and wait since we were next. Then she came back out seemed to be very unhappy and asked us if we needed something or if we were just going to stand there and look in??? I said forget it and we left! I have five lines through Verizon and Spend over $300 a month would like a little more respect. but this afternoon we will go to the store on 168th and center they have always been very nice and helpful there.
Martell is the most amazing rep Ive ever experienced. I used to deal with her at the Grand Central store a while back and was upset she transferred. I appreciate her so much I come all the way to Harlem to work with her. She makes my experiences there worthwhile and she is always willing to go above and beyond. The store is a little hectic but it might because of the area.
Worst customer service ever! My teen son and I came to this location to upgrade his phone, and it seemed they did not want to be bothered. The first thing they asked was for state photo ID which has never happened to me in the 20 years I have been a Verizon customer. I had mistakenly placed my expired drivers liscense in my bag which they rejected even though my name was identical to bank and other cards I had and I looked basically the same as photo. When telling the manager my concerns, he cut me off while I was talking. Immediately, my son and I went to Verizon on 101st and Broadway which was frustrating because it took more time away from my day. In about an hour, we walked out with my sons new phone. No one demanded to see a photo state ID; to verify my account they asked for my phone number and account pin as was my previous experience at Verizon stores. They even offered to transfer my sons data to his new phone which never happened for past upgrades at the 125th street location. Unless you want to feel like you are going through airport security, do not use this location.
Went to store to purchase phones and resolve on going issues . Store or corporate office would not help me because I ordered a phone online and until it arrives they froze everything including my p passwords. So store wanted me to buy another phone. The overnight express shipping I paid extra for didnt arrive until after 4 days later messing up my work communications
New management is terrible. One of the employees here did an improper tradein on my device that resulted in a bill charge I wasnt expecting, instead of fixing her employees error on the spot in the store like she was suppose to, which she admitted was her employees fault, she refused to fix my account, resulting in a multi day phone conversation with Verizon, where I had to wait for customer service to manually buy out my line. All of customer service, including the supervisors, said the issues couldve been handled in the store. But no, I had to wait almost 2 weeks to get a new phone, because the manager wanted to get into her feelings over a mistake her employee made. Thats not even mentioning when one of the other employees in this store was telling me to hang up my own phone on customer service, because customer service was telling them they had to fix it Im the store and didnt want to. I miss the other people that use to work here. They were more friendly.
Staff is not helpful at all. They told me and maybe 6 other people to wait outside in a line because of covid. That would have been fine if the man that kept coming outside to help us wouldnt have made me wait an hour and a half before looking at my phone then proceeding to say they couldnt fix it. He legit just looked at it and then turned away. unbelievable.
Verizon is flying. they always manage to increase your monthly payment by lying. I have not made an international call, and they charge me false rates and the problem is that they do not help you understand. they are very strong at bullying you to use their product but the prices increase from month to month. Also they defrauded me by taking me $ 1500 as deposit that they were supposed to give me, they never did it and never denied having taken this amount with me that it is crazy. I plan to change the service and advise against their service for these causes and many are complaining about the increase in prices around me and no longer want the service. Zero.
Great experience. Friendly staff and very helpful. I had a difficult technical problem with my phone transferring contacts from a very old phone and the staff handled it very well. They took their time to make sure they did everything they could to help me, which they did successfully and answered all my questions.One staff member was a bit more expert than the others, but they all worked together as a team. Kudos and thank you.
I was profiled at this location and experience some unethical practices while visiting. Verizon states that you should bring a government issued I.D. and the form of payment you used when picking up orders. While stopping by this location as a new customer to pick up my new phones, the assistant store manager halted me with my out of state Texas I.D., telling me that I need to have a NYS I.D. or I cant get my completed order picked up. I already went through fraud prevention the day before and everything was good to go. He ask for a utility bill, I then went to show him the internet cable bill I sent Verizon to verify the day before, he goes It needs to be a con-ed bill, and I didnt have one. He told me I should have just had the order shipped, like I didnt have the freedom of choosing my way of recieving the completed order. He asked if I wanted to cancel my order and re-do it in-store, why would anyone want to cancel, wait for a refund and pay another activation fee to create a new order again?. Frustrated, I left. later that evening, my order had been canceled with out my permission.Everythings situated now, and I got my new lines despite having to go through hoops and fraud prevention again. I choose to SHIP this time as instructed. Never will I ever do business in a Verizon store location again.
I have never been so disrespected by a General Manager until encountering this 125th Street store and its General Manager. My husband purchased gift card from this store as a gift two days ago. The card states on the back that it is refundable within 30 days. The receipt also states that it is refundable within 30 days. The clerk that sold him the gift card said it was refundable. Yet when we go back to the store the General Manager said it is not refundable. I ask how is this so if the receipt and gift card say its refundable. He continues to repeat that the system will not allow him to issue a refund. I tell him that it is dishonest of Verizon to state on the gift card and receipt one thing and go against that. He then states he can try to contact operations but there is not going to be a resolution soon, I told him that is not good enough. That is when he said do you want me to sit here and listen to you lecture on legal stuff in the most disrespectful tone. Ive been a Verizon custumer for over a decade both wireless and Fios. I now would like to cancel both. This store is dishonest and as an extension of Verizon they should be ashamed of themselves specifically an unhelpful aggressive general manager that believes its ok to speak to customer in such a manner.
Store not open despite opening times:Came here on Wednesday, 21-March-2018: Store was supposed to be open until 8pm, I arrived at 7.15pm. The door was locked from outside, and there was one customer inside, looking at phones, and one male employee, playing on his phone. Although he saw me when he looked up, he ignored me and continued playing with his phone. I went on and came back at 7.45, at which time the store was dark and completely closed.
Ive never had such a bad experience in a shop. The sales representative was watching the NFL while activating my Sim, therefore I had to repeat the questions because he didnt pay attention. They sold me a Sim card that was supposed to work on a European galaxy s9. The Sim never worked. The woman manager, Akila Shakes, didnt want me to be reimbursed and she didnt know what to do. When I told her that I was coming from another corporate shop (where they told me that Verizon network does not work with my phone and to go back to the shop to have a reimbursement), she faked a call to the other corporate store on the back of the shop. She argued that the Sim card was eventually going to work, so I asked her to try another Verizon Sim card in my phone to prove that the network would have worked. Off course the new Sim didnt work, so this akila left me there alone saying nothing. Lost 50 dollars, I suggest you to dont go here as they steal money.
On 7/7/2015 my friend and I visited this location to possibly get a replacement phone or to have it repaired. As usual the customer service was horrible. From the idiot at the front door to the idiots behind the front counter to the idiots on the floor and lets not forget the idiots in the back of the store behind the counter.On this particular visit we inquired about getting a replacement phone. As usual the attitude given is as if your asking for some personal sacrifice and should be grateful. Long story short this idiot we encountered first said cutting us off mid sentence with you have to go through insurance. Okay no problem how about a quick repair if doable since the upgrade is in 2 weeks and we really dont want to spend $100 bucks for a old modle phone. Immediately this idiot says we dont do repairs. I have been a customer of Verizon wireless since 1997. Although they keep changing and hiking up prices and added BS over charges I know for a fact that at one point or another they did do repairs. Not according to this idiot whom stated with an indignant tone Ive been working for Verizon for 15 years I should know. Really 15 years at the door? Anyway I reiterated how I was a customer since 97 and all of a sudden she then says we havent repaired the screens at least for 5 years. Oh so now we go from no repairs to we havent done screens for about 5 yeras. Now lets see who sounds more logical the idiot whos been at the same company for 15 years not as a doorman or upper echelon but a grinch that greets at the door or loyal customer 18 years plus that has gone through quite a few phones, policies, contracts, rewards etc.I wrote this long review/rating partially due to frustration but also to notify anyone considering visiting this location rconsider. In all my visits to this location I have had only two pleasant trips. Its a sad reality that this is not only this location. It seems to be the atmosphere throughout a lot of Verizon Wireless locations Ive noticed.Verizon itself needs to do a major sweep of quite a few of their stores and the customer service rep that they employ. Ive experienced this on more than one occation form different locations throughout the city. Disgusting. I call them idiots from the distasteful and disrespectful way Ive recieved. I went into the verizon store at 166 West 125th to inqure and eventually get a new cell service with the company. I went to the sales rep and asked her about getting a new service thats when it went downhill. Her attitude and her expressions in her response was telling me she was not interested. After that she asked me what do I want again in a very nasty way. It was on the border of antagonistic.I told her I was already a verizon customer and have a home line. she went through the plans and said $20 is deducted from the home svc. if I get a wireless service. Her sales associate who was so timid began to give me examples of the fees for the different packages. she interrupted him and said I would qualify for $10 if I had a home phone but he showed some confidence and corrected her contradiction of her own words and told me yes I would get the $20 discount.Her whole energy was stank i just didnt want to start on a New service with negative engery coming from this person. I just walked out.Dont bother with this location. If you canAvoid it.
Do not go to this store. They will to to sell you something that you did not ask for or try to trick you so they can steal money from you. I had the worst experience buying something in my life. Make an effort and go downtown Manhattan Verizon. These people are very unprofessional.
I would not say that they are the best but I have been there around 10x and I can say that I have never heard any of the staff say inappropriate things or use bad language. They are slow in regards to get customers out at times but never unprofessional. Some reviews are nonsense and bias.
This store is so unprofessional horrible customer service . My mom and sister went to the store for the first time being a member for Verizon , they got their phones ok good then my phone was supposed to be shipped to me in p.a & they ended up sending it to Texas , so now I’m on my 4th day with no cellphone yet . All I keep hearing from them in unfortunately back and forth . Highly don’t recommend this store !
I went to Verizon to purchase a security cameras and a cell phone with a coalition of ripping me off the person that Ive been paying my bill to that she was still in the money Veronica she been stealing the money and Verizon have not got that situation taken care of and it still harassing me over a bill that I have paid for and I show them proof and they refuse to correct it
In this verizon the workers are very insufficient, you do not help the staff when they have to do but when they read please today I had more than 59 minutes he went down I am outside and only one client inside and 4 workers without doing anything for god take matters in this store like one has a good reputation that employees make what they read appear to the person who is reading read them

2022-08-10This store is ridiculous. Definitely the worst customer service I have ever received. I went to the store yesterday just to quit the family plan and change to a new plan for my line. The staffs were unprofessional and rude. They never reach out to customer activity, and it seemed that themselves were not familiar with carrier services. The staff just gave me a number and let me made a phone call for 1 hour. The craziest thing was that after 1 hour, they said I must have a cell phone purchased in the US to switch plans. WHAT A RIDICULOUS STORE. Then I went to T-Mobile nearby, they helped me solve everything in just 10 minutes. The only thing I wanna tell you is that this Verizon store is just insane.

2022-03-26While the in-person customer service I received today was exceptional, I am beyond frustrated that several hours later I no longer have phone service. I purchased a new phone that is being shipped to me and I was repeatedly assured that my plan would change only once I received and activated my new phone. I am a mother of a small child and have no phone service late on a Friday night, even though my previous plan was paid and I paid additional fees today. And of course it’s too late to reach anyone at Verizon. Unacceptable.Additionally I had verbalized that I wanted to opt out of the protection plan and of course I was charged for that as well. Hopefully everything can be sorted tomorrow but that may look like walking away from Verizon.

2022-07-21The staff are polite and professional. They are very knowledgeable and help resolve your cellphone problems...connection, setup, etc. They take time to answer your questions. The Verizon store is spacious and clean and during the week the wait is not long.

2022-05-25Awful customer service. Store representatives are misleading. I was sold a higher plan in order to guarantee offer for trade in and after speaking to customer service they acknowledged that the higher plan wasn’t needed for the trade in. Additionally, I traded in my phone on December 2021 and I still haven’t received the credit for the trade in (6 months later).

2022-01-06Today I had the pleasure of being helped by Crystal. Amazing customer service !!!! I was truly shouting of excitement. She was truly helpful and very caring. She made sure the problem with my phone was resolved in a timely manner. My father was truly impressed speaking with her over the phone as well. There should be more representatives like her & she should be a Trainer 😂 . Whoever trained her may God bless their soul. Amazing experience !!!!!!!

2021-12-04Took forever and wasnt even that crowded. Lots of employees doing little to nothing. The first time I went in they all stared at me, like they didnt know what I was doing there and ended up having to go somewhere else to get what I needed done. Today however, I dealt with a different employee. Although there was a wait, he helped me with my quick/simple fix. I wish I got his name because he was fantastic and very friendly and helpful.

2021-05-24I was warned about this VerizonI went into this Verizon on Mothers Day to upgrade my phone and watch. I was greeted by Sharif who took great care of my needs and concerns. However, when transferring my files from the old phone to the new one it took and usually long time and Im still not sure all my files transferred. I was unaware that the store closed at 5:00 the manager whose nameI did not get let it be known that we close at 5:00.I have been a Verizon customer for over 10 years and I never experienced this kind of treatment. He keep checking to see how far the process was. All the while Sharif was trying as hard as possible to get everything done.The manager did something to the phone and assured me that everything was there and showed me where to download my apps. I left the store with my new phone and watch which I was told I could call Verizon to activate, never have I had to go home and activate any items I purchased, it was all done in the store.The Manager was eager to close that I didnt realize that my new phone was not activated. I have never been rushed out of a store just because it was closing time. By the time I crossed the street the gates were already down.Thank goodness for customer service to help me activate my phone and watch.Never again will I go in this location.
