This is one of those reviews where I would undoubtedly give 0 stars if I could. A few days ago I was in Staten Island for the day with a friend and saw this Verizon store conveniently located by where we were so I decided to stop by and see if they could assist in getting my legal name change updated in their system. I had all the documentation possibly necessary for that with me as prior to coming in I had previously spoken to customer service on the phone and they had assured me this could be done at a store regarded I bring the documents, those being a certified copy of the Court Name Change Order as well as new Government issued picture IDs with the new name. So I walk in and first off there’s no one in the store to greet us, so after calling out for someone this middle aged blondish man comes from what I assumed was a break room, as he came out still eating, and half-a**edly greets me and my friend. I go on to tell him I need help getting my legal name change updated in his system and in a rude tone he immediately shuts me down saying he cannot do that at the store. So I inform him I had spoken to customer service and they had instructed me to go into a store and bring all my documents supporting my name change, which he didn’t even bother asking to see. He continued to be dismissive and repeating it is not something he can do at the store, so I ask him, well then if not you then who can? Because if customer service told me they can’t and you’re saying you can’t, then who else is there? As he was not even an ounce helpful, I left the store extremely upset with his lack of professionalism and my friend and I make our way off the island. The next day, I go to the Verizon store at Queens Center Mall - about 30 minutes from where I live - and I explain the situation. To start with, the employees at this store are so much more welcoming, professional, and polite. Not only that, but they were INDEED able to get my name change updated in their system once I presented them with all the documentation necessary to do so. Now isn’t that funny how the guy from this Verizon store location said he could not do something and yet the representative from the Queens Center Mall Verizon store could? That is extremely bad brand representation on his end, as to me it is pretty clear he simply refused to do his job. Perhaps to continue munching on that sandwich of his.

Ivana did a great job getting us in and out in a timely manor, which we appreciated very much. She was very informative, patient and eager to assist, even though we came at closing time. Ivana was understanding and personable, making our experience calm and quick.

OMG Ivana was amazing!I went into the store just to inquire about options for my cracked screen, and left with a brand new phone! She was very knowledgeable and made sure I understood everything about what I could do, and what I was deciding to do. It really felt like we were just hanging out, with how comfortable she made me in the store. They have a gem with Ivana there. 10/10 WOULD RECOMMEND!

Please be aware that this is a Verizon AUTHORIZED RETAILER. It’s misleading to just be labeled as Verizon on Google Maps! The staff are uninformative and poorly knowledgeable when it comes to Verizon account issues. Save yourself some time and avoid being suspected and disrespectfully treated as a scammer - please go to a direct Verizon store at 2791 Richmond Ave or 8524 5th Ave for professional customer support.

They are really bad at their business, wasting a lot of customers time and not being able to help. Their service attitude is full of impatience and disgust. If you want a perfect experience, please dont come here！

The best-kept secret on Staten Island: no wait, knowledgeable staff (especially Jeremy), and good stock on hand. What a delight.
