If you’re looking for the ultimate spa experience without the spa prices than this is your jam !! Great ambiance, great customer service, great quality products before and after the floating vessel. On top that the owner is really a genuine guy and knows his stuff. At the end the experience you get cute « the labo » hygiene products. 5/5 Recommend it to any of my stressed new yorkers out there
I loved my experience with Vessel Floats. I told the friend who gifted me the session that it was of all my floats, it was the best and I was not just trying to make him feel good. Its absolutely true. The room and tub are appropriately calming, private and comfortable, but the effort put into the environment inside and outside the room really set this place apart from other locations. I loved sitting on the yellow couch in the lobby, drinking my pre-float tea and admiring the afternoon sun on the building across the street. I really appreciated the effort invested in allowing me to curate aspects of my experience—my mood and the sonic accompaniment (theres an option to listen to a Mary Lattimore/Jonsi collaboration), the delicious, warming beverage provided after, like a lil piece of my experience, I took with me when I departed. Those details make Vessel feel more adaptable, more as though the space conforms to you, rather than you entirely to it (in that way quite unlike a vessel, now that I think about it), which means theres less float time wasted trying to adapt your mind to the experience of floating. It was lovely.
They dont have the pods, they have the room tanks which is great for people afraid of being enclosed in a pod. The place was clean and organized, friendly staff. The soaps, conditioners, and lotions for after smells really good. Now for the float itself, it was amazing. Im usually good at telling how much time has passed without needing a clock but whoa, I really lost myself in the moment. You have the option to leave the lights, stars, and sound on. I didnt want sound or the lights but left the stars on, after a while I took them off, I prefer complete deprivation. It was amazing, Im feeling great and highly recommend the experience to EVERYONE who just needs a break. Something happens in that tank where my chatty brain quiets down for a moment and Im gifted the gift of silence and tranquility for the moment. Living in this vibrant, always going city, its nice to take a break and treat ourselves to quiet.I say, try it, you wont regret it.
The vessels is literally the best place i ever been for floating , place is extremely clean, high quality toiletries products, you really don’t need to bring anything they will take care of you. The floating experience is really relaxing I felt energized and renovated after my floating, right after I could take care of my hair with all the high qualities products and hair dryer they have for you, and I could enjoy a delicious relaxing drink at the end of my experience. I’m totally amazed and will came back for sure! However I would be even better if disposable shoes were available bc I don’t like walking barefoot. But it is a small details the place is , happy customer I highly recommend .
Had an amazing experience here. A beautiful and relaxing space. the owner did a great job of talking us through the process, the post-float drinks were delicious, and the mini El Labo products provided (shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion) were really luxurious.
I live like 5 minutes from this place but for a couple hours I felt like I was on vacation. Super cool, super clean, definitely am zenned out afterwards. Some sort of projection/visuals in the tank beyond the star lights (which are great) would be so awesome. Would do again. Also I smell great from the shower amenities
I have been to a handful of similar float spas in the NYC area, and Vessel Floats is my favorite. Spacious tanks and very soothing, relaxing environment. Impeccable cleanliness any time I have visited. I love the pre and post float services. Every staff person I have encountered is so helpful and lovely! Would highly recommend for both first time floaters and seasoned vets.
Vessel floats was a great experience. Every detail of the space is well designed, the owner clearly thought through the details here. I did the sensory deprivation float, my eyes were open but all i saw was darkness, it was honestly really great to get a chance to just be present in the moment with nothing else going on around me. A great and rare feeling for any new yorker.
Wow this was incredible. I was honestly a bit anxious to try it. It took me a few minutes to settle in and once I surrendered it was truly magical. You felt like you were floating on a cloud - such a wild feeling. Feeling lighter and will probably have to make this part of my weekly routine. The staff was very friendly and informative. The lounge area is very cozy (can’t stay and drink your coffee for obvious pandemic reasons). They have a vanity if you need some extra time to spruce yourself up before you head out which was nice. Overall, great experience and would highly recommend (even if you’re a bit apprehensive or hesitant like I was).
Beautiful experience. Was actually quite nervous to float but the cool decor and friendly staff put me at ease quickly. The place is gorgeous and super clean, the flotation was so much more relaxing than I expected. The showers were heavenly and the bath products were on point. I also enjoyed a DELICIOUS drink post-float. Literally leaving this review as I book my second appointment!
So happy our friend told us about vessel! I have done a handful of float tanks throughout the city and country and let me tell you vessel is by far the best! From the digital menu with your different elixirs to the awesome hair and body products the moment we stepped in I knew it was going to be a great experience.Imagine doing a sensory deprivation session in midtown trying to disconnect from the world yet you can hear sirens and horns and everything else. You can hear people walking above you. Well at vessel you leave reality and hear nothing besides your own breathing.Christian was great! Very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. My wife hadn’t floated before but he made sure she was comfortable. I can’t wait to come back id love to join the monthly membership program. The decor is beautiful I love the rooms , the tank is also amazing! It’s big but not too big where you feel like you’re spinning into out space it’s just right! Def go give these guys a try! They go over the top for their guests.
Love this place. As someone who loves a great space with amenities and vibe, this place for sure does it for me. The floating experience is unlike anything I’ve ever done before. Anyone who’s looking to regroup from the every day life of NYC and slow your mind and body this experience is what you need. You have to experience the float a few times before fully understanding how it can work for you. The physical benefits of the warm salt bath is almost immediate. The mental, like anything else, takes a little practice. Do yourself a favor and get a membership — fresh socks and Le Labo products + self care ❤️
Overall, I liked this. It was an interesting experience and I’ll bet the vibe will be even better post-COVID. If you’re going to do this, I’d say:1. Accept that you might have a hard time getting fully into it your first time and just allow yourself to go with the flow.2. Bring your own deodorant, the stuff they have here stung my skin like crazy.
I am currently in the lobby enjoying my post float beverage. Dont hesitate to come by! This was my first experience floating! It was amazing. Everything is top notch and the staff is amazing. This place is a bubble of calm, rejuvenating energy down to every detail :) make sure to get to know the buttons because they can be confusing. This is an experience that is unlike anything I have gone through before. Even the ice was great here in my lemonade. Amazing! Coming back and going to purchase a membership. I strongly encourage you to do so as well :)
My husband and I have made two day trips to Vessel Floats. Overall, the experiences were calming. On our second visit, however, my tank had chunky debris at the bottom (pictured), which was off-putting. It was concentrated by the filtration system, so I could face the other direction to avoid touching it for the most part, but was a little anxiety-provoking about the cleanliness/filtration of the tank, especially in the era of Covid-19.The team is very polite and the experience otherwise was highly relaxing. I would return, but I would suggest checking the state of the tank before you start the shower part so that you check for any remnants from the last float and let the staff know before you’ve started the timed experience.
Ive been coming to Vessel for many months now and dont plan to stop. Theyre amazingly hospitable, the facility is top notch and absolutely love my experiences each time. Pheobe, Alex and Christian are all the best, answer all questions and love talking about the experience of floating. If youre on the fence about floating, know that I was, too. Its a large tank, super clean and beyond relaxing to disconnect. Thanks, Vessel!
Taking baths has been my new quarantine activity but this is a major step up! Would highly recommend for a 4 star spa like experience complete with all the nourishing physical and mental benefits. Felt super COVID safe as you’re in your own isolated room and the lobby is massive to space out with receptionist and 1 or 2 other people who may be there. I’m usually claustrophobic but didn’t feel that way in the tank and there are a couple lighting options so don’t be nervous ;)
Great experience, and genuinely a great value.I’ve been to a different float place (in cobble hill), and the workers there were super unengaged, and the space felt a little dated. This definitely isn’t the case here - the staff was friendly, attentive, and professional. The service was all around not unlike what you get at a 5 star hotel. Lots of attention to detail. The space itself is incredibly new, modern, and comfortable, kinda throwing off “the house from ex machina” vibes, minus the inevitable robot murder.I was super pleasantly surprised to be presented my unused bath amenities on the way out, in a cute box. This box of 4 decently-sized le labo products would’ve been 30 bucks at retail. Will definitely go again, can’t think of a nicer pick-me-up spa-like experience during winter.
What a rejuvenating and blissful experience! My sister, my fiancé and I visited Vessel Floats on Saturday for a birthday celebration. The entire experience was streamlined and elegant, from the warm welcome drink and cozy socks, all the way through the unwinding post-float drink and Le Labo complimentary toiletries. The tanks are large and comfortable, creating a serene experience from start to finish. I cannot recommend this place more highly, and will certainly be back for another float session in the near future!
Vessel is hands down the best place to do sensory deprivation in NYC, and honestly I wouldnt be surprised if it was one of the nicest (if not *the* nicest) float therapy studios on the planet.Every aspect of the experience is meticulously and artfully curated from beginning to end. From the elixir doses pre-float, beautiful vessel socks (that you get to keep!), the incredible float tanks and rooms, the sizable bottles of Le Labo shower products (that you also get to keep!!), the complementary post-float adaptogenic drinks, and the meditative spaces for reintegrating after your float, every touch is optimized to have an incredibly mindful, unique, and luxurious experience.I cant stress enough how impressed I was with this place relative to other float studios in the city, and Im really shocked that the prices are the same or lower than their competitors, especially since you get so much more. Vessel also has a selection of guided meditations and sound bath audio options to play during the float, so I was able to have different experiences both times I went. This place is an absolute must, for both experienced and new meditators alike!
Dont go there, they rope you into signing up for a yearly plan without being clear about it. I signed up but then forgot to cancel (human) they customer service would not cancel my subscription without extorting me for paying for the entire year. The customer service reps are extremely condescending and throw millions of fine print at you to extort you for hundreds of dollars. Its completely scammy.
Super excited about having a float place close to me in Greenpoint, and this one is divine. There are so many small touches that make this a super special healing experience, including teas, smells, and great hospitality. I also love that its got these huge glass windows with all the natural light. I think its also one of the better float spots in the city.
This is what you call a 5 star luxury experience. Opened during a pandemic, I feel completely safe here that excellent sanitation is being done as well as other best practices. The float tank is awesome and of course that is why I am there but the little extras like the mini Le Labo toiletries to take home and the complimentary before and after drinks ordered on QR code menu make this place next level. Super nice staff. Welcome to the neighborhood!
Ive done a few floats at various places. As someone with both PTSD and TBI, the experience is like a reset button for my overtaxed nervous system. Vessel Floats is a lovely, calming environment, with excellent customer service. Of all the places Ive floated, this is hands down my favorite and I will be going again for sure.
Came in for my first float experience ever and was amazed by the attention to detail — from the check-in beverage to the Le Labo bath products, everything was so thought-out and luxe. My friends and I felt so calm and refreshed after the float. This will definitely be an addition to my wellness routine!

2022-01-03The best thing I did since moving to New York was take up floating at Vessel. In a city where its nearly impossible to be alone, much less have silence or darkness, practicing sensory deprivation was literally a game changer. Ive been to several float centers around New York (and the country), and this one is by far my favorite. The staff is all friendly and accommodating, tanks are exceptionally clean, and the space itself is gorgeous. I appreciate all the mindful details that go into the experience from start to finish (like the adaptogenic drinks, socks, and le labo shower products). Highly recommend to all New Yorkers that need some quality restoration (also--my go-to gift for friends that already have everything). Bonus-- the tanks are entire big rooms, not the small pods that other centers have.

2022-06-12This was my 2nd time immersing in a sensory deprivation tank, but @vesselfloats (and Mina, their host!) made this experience a whole other vibe. They start you off with a menu of teas for you to select your before and after float drinks. They each provide a different blend to help enhance your experience to your liking. You also have the option to choose a guided meditation, sound bowl audio, or fully sensory deprived during your float. The decor is unlike any other and I loved the calming effect it has from the moment you walk in to the moment you step in your private room. You sit and drink your pre-float tea, they walk you to your room, and float away for an hour. You have your personal shower in room, and Ladies...they even provide you with a vanity room with a Dyson blow dryer! Quality styling tool! My hair girls know! They provide anything you could ever need! I was wowed and definitely recommend and will be back!

2022-05-04*feeling very refreshed* let me start by saying that going into this I was fully terrified. I didnt know what to expect, I thought being in my head for that long was going to be so scary and of course thought I would feel claustrophobic. Leading up to the moment I stepped into the float tank I was anxious. Leaving this experienced was pretty life changing and I can say that I would like to be able to do this once a month. When you arrive you are greeted by a friendly face and a very relaxed atmosphere. Your tea order is taken and you are given the COZIEST socks (to keep). Before your sessions starts you can get a quick little walkthrough about some options for your float experience (music, lights, sounds/no sounds). Given that I was a little nervous about being in complete silence they suggested I do sounds or music. I chose to do no sound because I wanted the full experience but I believe you have the option to turn them off or on during the float.Once you have picked your options, you are taken to your room where there is a place to sit, fresh towels and high end toiletries (shampoo, conditioners, body wash, lotions, earplugs, and a charcoal pre-float body wash). You are asked to shower beforehand obviously and they give you petroleum jelly for any cuts or scrapes. In the tank you go!!! The floating tanks are massive - Im 62 and I could move around comfortably. The lights are on and there is an audio playing to further prepare you for the experience. Once the audio is over the lights will slowly start to dim and once they are off its completely dark, there are no sounds and you are fully floating - like zero gravity floating. It took me a minute to get into the silence but once you break through that it is a truly magical experience. Every thought that came to me was easily acknowledged and/or discarded if it was negative. I have never been able to get refocused during a regular meditation once my mind wonders. Something about this experience opens a door to that ability. It is an hour long which felt too short because by the end of the float I felt like I wanted to stay in for a few hours lol. The lights slowly turn back on to get you re-acclimated and an audio turns back on to walk you through the next steps.Im skipping ahead because because its hard to put the experience in words but I left feeling like I had just taken the longest vacation. So relaxed, so unbothered and so recharged.10/10 would recommend.Pro-tip, do not touch yours eyes during the float and when you sit up lean you head back so water doesnt drip in your eye.

2022-06-20A unique and thoughtful experience. I had never been to a sensory deprivation tank and didn’t know to expect during my session. The staff was very detailed in their explanation of the entire process. There was a brief tour and introduction of the space which allowed me to feel in control of my own session, at my own pace. The pre-float and post-float drinks were delicious. The float itself was relaxing, and the entire experience was calming and worth the money

2022-07-14It was my first experience there with my girlfriend on July 12th and honestly I did not expect it to be such an amazing experience. Staff was super friendly and nice, everything was explained easily and easy to do. Very relaxing experience, definitely made our day much smoother and easy even though it was super hot out! 1000/10 Definitely recommend!
