The shroomtown is good, but I think I would have liked the plain or classica margarita more. The first few bites of each slice was mainly mushrooms and I didn’t get to taste much of the marinara sauce until at the very end of the slice. The salads are really big, the house salad had a lot of olives. The pizza is worth coming back for.
The food is great!! Pizza amazing!!HOWEVER:The music was soo loud and horrible! The crowd is not looking for a dance venue. Most clients are over 35/40 and stopping in for a bit during work. The manager, when I asked her if she could lower it or even change the station to a chiller vibe, came to the table and basically said NO! It has to be on during lunch, turned her back as she said thank you in a dismissive way and walked away. Turned it UP and now listening to Madonna Lucky Star. Absurd. SO RUDE! Fire this manager and get someone who can read a room. (the waiter was a doll)
Limp, soggy, flavorless pizza. Delivered in 10 minutes but it came cold. Asked for parmigiana and red peppers, the restaurant disregarded the simple request. Not worthy for anywhere much less NYC..!!Great neighborhood no-frills NYC style pizza joint . Exceptional crust and fresh toppings. My favorite is their spinach and artichoke slice which is rich, creamy salty and very satiating. I dont miss the meat on it.!!!👍💯
The pizza is good - Christina - who seemed to be in charge - is rude. The music was blaring and the radio station was awful, static, and way too loud. We asked her to lower the music or change the station - and she said she would lower it. She lowered it for 5 minutes and then turned it up to a very loud volume again - despite the fact that all the patrons in the restaurant preferred to have a conversation and have low background music if any. Why is it that restaurants these days feel that the music has to be blaring and that we all want a loud party atmosphere when we are doing?! We don’t! Our waiter was a very nice guy and a very good waiter but he was not in charge so he couldn’t do anything about it.
If you are looking for a cozy and quiet dinner and sit inside not the place for you. Very lively atmosphere and diverse crowd. Lots of regulars. The waitstaff had to shout and then they couldnt hear our reply.I ordered a rootbeer never received it. My son ordered main course salad and we were all eating our meals and we had to ask where his food was. However the pizza is the best thin crust I have ever eaten! Very scrumptious! I would return just to get it ... but would opt for take out.
This restaurant is absolutely amazing!Very friendly and quick staff. The pasta carbonara is freshly made and just far out delicious. The pizzas are amazing too. To top it off, they offer some delicious looking (and tasting) desserts for reasonable prices. The restaurant was quite busy with some people waiting in the entrance, but they seem to keep everything under control.
Truly wafer thin crust, great choice of toppings. Still great pizza but not my fav anymore bc maybe I hate to say, Im used to 2 Italian mom and pop places in SF for Sicilian style pizza and central/northern style pizzas bc of their thin and CHEWY crusts that are more juicy slightly soggy. This crust is just a little dry but understandable bc it still holds the toppings very well without becoming soggy. Definitely come here if you are watching your carbs but still want a good pizza! Nice that they have an organic crust option. Good tre colori salad. No gluten free or dairy free cheese. We got the big pineapple adding more pineapple and also the classic adding roasted garlic and roasted peppers. Ive had better roasted red peppers that are sweeter and more mushy however at grimaldis and other pizzerias.
Thin crust pizza thats what i ordered and i received thin crust burned pizza with smell all over it.I called them right away and they offered me refund but I cannot let any food go waste no matter how bad 😔 , hence refused.I usually like their combination of drinks and pizza but after this failure I need to search for others that actually feel proud of making pizza and do it by heart.Tonight I am sleeping with bitter taste in mouth. Thanks to their drinks it made it much bearable. However fact remains : Utter disappointment
Cool spot, super friendly staff, perfect music playing in the background to fit the mood, and tasty food. As NY pizza goes, its not the best Ive ever had, BUT it was super thin, crispy, and the toppings were great. I would definitely go back :-) Must get the tomato and mozzerella salad--holy moley!! So fresh and tasty!
Unbelievable thin crust pizza. As good as it gets. Haven’t ventured past the plain cheese yet but will probably try some more variety next time. Probably. Also service is pretty inattentive, you have to flag your server down if you’re in a rush. I knew that before coming in and wasn’t put off by it.
After a couple rounds at happy hour we got the urge for pizza but thin crust so we turned to trusty google. Its a find a seat and someone will come to you type of place with outside seating. The waiter and servers where very cool and tentative which is always awesome. I ordered two personal pies the meat lovers and the milanesa, my wife wasnt hungry lol. That all changed when the food came out. The place was packed but the food came out fairly quickly. Enjoyed every bite. When were back in the city this will definitely be visiting again.
The best thin crust Ive had in NYC. Cheesy packed slice with the perfect crust. Huge menu and great lunch specials. The homemade lemonade is amazing and YOU control the sweetness! The facility is lovely and warm, the staff nice and attentive. Great for solo dining, dates, family. A joyful lunch.
Great food, efficient friendly service. This is a very busy place with good quality produce but with a fast food ambience. A bit loud with bluesy music. If you go off peak it’s probably more relaxed. We weren’t rushed away but I didn’t feel like staying long. Very small tables for 2. But just about enough space. I would definitely go back for a pit stop. Good lunch time deals.
The chef(s) at Vezzo are mastering perfection. The pizza is delicate , but not frail. The topping are covering every centimeter square. The crust is so beautiful, thin: the sound of the crust....A Ratatouille like moment happens with every bite. This is more than a pie.Thank you for this wonderful pizza which ended a perfect summer.
Went here for lunch with a friend and we were both very pleased! We split a lunch special with a full salad and a personal pizza and felt like it was a good portion for us both. I forget which salad we had, but it was delicious (we had a hard time picking since they all sounded great). We also ordered the Shroomtown pizza which was fantastic. The best of all was our server (I think Andi?), who was incredibly enthusiastic, helpful, and answered all of our many questions with abundant patience. Will be coming here often for lunch!
Now this is what NYC pizza should be like! I have been to a dozen places in NYC by far this is the best! Awesome, enough said! My goto place! Excellent comfortable feel with I side and outside seating. Small but good beer selection. Didnt try the salad but the pizza is true thin crispy crust. Nice!
Continuing my search for the best pizza in the city, I decided to try Vezzo after work on my way to a concert. Seeing it has thin crust in the name, I knew I was in for something a little different. And it was a pleasant surprise!Im not a huge thin crust guy, but the crust on this pie was crispy enough to give it some substance. The ingredients were fresh and made for a good pie. The balance was a little off if I wanna get really picky - meat not spread out enough, too much garnish - but all in all it was a great pizza. If youre looking for something more filling, this isnt the place to go. But it was an excellent thin crust pizza and Id absolutely go back.Recommended: Salsiccia Dolce.Pizza Adventures: Destination #27
If you love thin crust Pizza, this is the place to go!I had the pineapple with the shredded chicken and one with spinach and broccoli. Both were excellent and they come in personal size or large. The outdoor seating is what got me here when I observed it a few days prior on my walk to the train station. It is set up well. Service was great along with the weather. I will definitely return!
Ugh I love all of these spots (Spunto, Vezzo, Posto, Groppo… I might be missing a few). Vezzo is our fave though. Food is great. I go between their super thin (disclaimer: not NY style) pizza and their ravioli. I’ve had friends who work for them and I’ve always heard good things about the owners, as well. That’s just a bonus.
Simple and very decent Italian restaurant with very good VFM lunch offering. They set up a very nice and cozy outdoor seating for COVID-19 era and not like many other places its great. Their pizza is amazing and the lasagna and ravioli we had were very generous and good and came with great garlic bread.I wouldnt travel far for this restaurant but if youre around and looking for an Italian food than this is a good choice.
Great pizza! Went on a Monday evening and the place was pretty busy - make sure to ask for a table away from the entrance as it gets a bit chilly in the winter. I ordered a make your own pizza and garlic bread, both of which were delicious. Good vegan options too (you can select no cheese when building your own pizza).
The most delicious wonderful fantastic pizza restaurant in all of New York. I love their pizza options as well as their versatile appetizers and pasta dish offerings. Delicious food and great service. Disappointed that they don’t take reservations but aside from that, not a single complaint. You pay for culinary excellence and the polite service staff. I’ve been coming here for years. Used to go with my parents, now I go with my husband. Love love love vezzo.
Honestly the best thin crust pizza spot in New York. The dough is so thin and crispy - I usually never eat the crust but it’s so good here. The service is very fast and efficient. If it is your first time here I suggest getting a large pizza and trying 2 different toppings. My favorite topping is the big pineapple (yes I do love it on my pizza I’m weird) and shroomtown. Any mushroom lover must order shroomtown !Their spinach salad is also pretty great it has some roasted pecans and raisins in it too. The price point of this place is also very reasonable,They don’t take reservations and the wait can be up to 2 hours sometime. There are additional seating outside during the summer — so the wait is a little shorter during the summer.
Tried the Milanesa pizza here. It was mind-blowing! The crust was one of the finest and definitely the thinnest that Ive ever had. Further the pizza was so flavorful - me & my wife absolutely loved it. Also, the staff is super courteous and the service quick. Will definitely be back here to try the other items on their menu!
This is a cute small place. But dont let that fool you. My husband and I stumbled upon this place and we loved loved loved their pizza. The thin crust was perfect and the toppings were made to perfection , the pizza is a piece of heaven. We really enjoyed the pizza and salad and the staff were super friendly. I would go back in a heart beat.
This was one of my favorite pizzas in NYC before I had to go gluten free. The pizzas here are fantastic and very original. The crust is very thin, as the name implies, but still a bit of chew when biting. It does get busy, but the staff is great and it is a great atmosphere. I recommend this place as one pizza option to everyone asking where to go when they visit the city.
I have never left a bad review for a pizza place before but I have to for this one. The worst tasting pizza I have ever eaten. We were looking for a veggie pizza with chicken. We ordered the Giardino and the main ingredient seemed to be garlic cloves. We counted at least 11 cloves of garlic which equals a whole garlic bulb; that on a 9-inch pizza. They should have listed it as a garlic lover’s pizza, then we would have avoiding it. We ordered the meat lover’s pizza as well, tiny bits of sausage with weird tasting disks of some pepperoni-like meat. Not enough meat to be considered a meat lover’s pizza. That was probably a good thing since the meat was over salty and not good tasting. Our waitress was unfriendly and gave off a couldn’t-care-less attitude. With so many other pizza restaurants in Midtown, I see no reason why I would ever eat here again.
Ive been getting pizza here since 2008. I love the thin and somewhat crunchy crust. Im not one of those people who likes tons of toppings on the pizza, so maybe thats why I find it to be so good. I usually only get the pepperoni. The sauce is perfect and pepperoni isnt as greasy as Ive experienced at other places.
Really enjoyable pizza, Caesar salad and garlic bread after finding this place close to our hotel. The garlic bread with cheese was really good and was not the usual pizza base style you sometimes get in the states. The large pizza was a good size for 3 to share with accompanying salad whilst my youngest enjoyed the mac and cheese.Didnt have a reservation but ate early evening so no issues. Was certainly getting busier once we left. Good friendly and efficient service and a great tasting pizza.
The people who work there are so nasty. The lady working there was so mean! She was telling me to hurry up and order because the kitchen was closing and threw a menu at my face. I asked the guy if they had a regular pizza and was brought out a margarita pizza instead. I told them I wanted a regular pizza and he said it was too late and the kitchen was closed. The pizza wasn’t bad, it just wasn’t what I ordered!
So happy to find this place for lunch. Awesome pizza if you like a cracker-thin crust, and available by the slice too. Sauce was very balanced, and toppings didn’t overwhelm the crust. Perfect pizza physics! Also has a very nice house salad with frisée and mixed greens. Service was polite and fast. A good, solid choice for midtown.
Ive been here twice, and my average eating time has been roughly 8.5 minutes across those two visits. The food is that good. They not lying about the thin crust either, those slices are suuuuper thin. But that makes it easy to eat a lot, which is something I truly appreciate. The servers are kind and the restaurant itself is really nice. Ill be back for sure.
Really good thin crust pizza the Murray Hill area near little India. Had the thin crust pizza. It is the thinnest crust Ive ever had. Cooked very nicely. Sauce is good and cheese is very good. Service was fast and friendly. Very authentic decor. If you like very thin crispy pizza highly recommend!
This place was referred to me by my friend when i asked them for a good new York pizza. I had two slices here which i found to be pretty good. But i need to try more of their menu in order to say that this is really it. But for now i will say thats its one of the best places if not the best , to get a pizza. You can also get a slice as well. They do have wine menu as well.
There were no complaints at our table from anyone regarding the food, wine and service; in fact the service was excellent. Even though it was busy time we didnt feel rushed and thats important when youre sitting down to talk with friends you havent seen for a while and trying to have a nice meal. The prices are typical for that part of Manhattan with a variety of menu items from Pizza to light Italian fare and seafood too. Overall, an enjoyable experience and a good meal.

Delicious salads here and great personal size mushroom pizza. Vezzos is the only thin crust I really like. Years ago this place was excellent and not as crowded. Now it is always packed. They recently expanded. Out of 3 times, one time the pizza was just not good. The other 2 times excellent!
My favorite lunch time. We go there all the time order the lunch specials. Pizza and salad. Both are the most delicious we have ever tried. The dressing that they put on the salads are to die for. Thank you vezzo for always being a great lunch spot. Waitress could be nicer sometimes. :)
Although this restaurant is not a chain, its owner always has the same menu and same recipe at all his places. Its a pretty standard generic Italian pizza and sandwich place, but while generic it has its price point and taste at the right place.I recommend the pepperoni slices, they use nice and wide slices.Price: 1.5 $Quality: B+
The food is great, but the staff is horrible! If I ever come back to New York Id think twice about coming here now (this used to be my favorite pizza place). I ran out of napkins and my drink, and not once did the waiter come to ask if we needed anything. No customer service whatsoever. The employees cleaning up and bringing out the food are a lot more friendlier and attentive. If Im paying $100+ here I expect better service than this.
Highly recommend their pizzas! The place is quite popular so expect a wait during peak times. Table for 2 is kind of small if you order a few items with the pizza but manageable. They have outdoor seat which might be a good choice when the weather is nice cause it gets quite noisy inside.
The food here is fresh. I got an Italian sausage Thin Crust, and it changed how I feel about pizza in general. The down only downside is that the pizza was too thin, saltine cracker thin. I expected a doughy pizza with a thin small crust. Despite that the taste of the pizza is enough to give this joint a four stars.
The pizza is legit amazing and normally the service is good as well. Not this time. I sent my in-laws with their grandkid and they were pretty much ignored after they received their pizza. No how is it or do you want a refill. When they finally got their check no one came to pick it up. My mother in law had to stand up and ask someone to run the card. Then, she had to ask for her card back and the person she handed it to shrugged his shoulders. Again, the pizza is amazing but this terrible service may turn me off from ever returning.
Great pizza probably one of my favourite. But if you are ordering over the phone, be prepared. Despite ordering great pizza there for 11 years once a month, order food over the phone has been systematically rude and inappropriate. I wish there was a way not to talk to the staff on the phone. It is systematically a nightmare and an unpleasant conversation.
Very tasty pizza, large portions (I had to take the last 2 slices to go!). Service just ok but front of house very friendly and seated us quickly despite not having a reservation and then being busy. We had the meatball pizza and rocket and parmsan pizza. Both very nice, as was the Greek salad we had alongside. Very reasonable prices too
I have never experienced a place like this. I never had to ask for anything other than ordering my pizza. Three different people came by to check on me or refill my drink without missing a beat. Wonderful experience and wonderful thin crust pizza.Definitely will be a repeat customer.
Best pizza!! its very reasonably priced, the service is good, and the food is amazing! this pizza is good if you dont want something too heavy--two people can definitely share a large pie. the only bad thing about this place is that theres usually a wait, but its worth it.
The best Pizza in NYC.If you are someone like me who loves to have hot food this is THE place.Beautiful thin crust and crispy pizzas. You can either go for custom one or go with the ones on menu. Dont forget to ask for the home made Jalapeno Sauce.Must go if u like thin crust, cheesy, flavoured and hot yummy pizzas

Disappointing. Pizza disintegrated when touched, far too much sauce, crust was largely burnt, taste was average. While we love thin crust, this crust was too thin to support the weight of the sauce and 6 oversized meatballs. Delivered along with a salad without utensils or napkins. Don’t plan on eating with your hands unless you own stock in a paper mill rolling out paper towels.
Im a fan of thin crust pizzas - their Tres Fuegos with spicy marinara sauce and shrimp is my fave.Unfortunately, their coffee is pretty bad, it is bland and has no depth to the flavor (its clearly from a machine and not barista-made). Its quite disappointing for an Italian place when their espresso isnt good for digestif.
When in NYC Im always searching for great pizza. This is one of them. Amazing thin crust pizza. I got the cheese and it was actually my fav of the others I tried of friends. Delish salad. And the lunch price with drink was $6! Great location with outdoor seating. Service was good as well. Staff were very friendly.
This is by far my favorite thin crust in the city. These guys are a mini-chain and they have different places with different names throughout the Burroughs, but that’s ok—they’re all good. The pizza and bottle of wine deal is solid if you get there at the right time. Clay is the best bartender here. And really, you can’t go wrong with a cheese personal pizza.
My family loves Vezzo as they can eat pizza there. I was half-crushed to find that they dont offer gluten free pizza / didnt want pasta, which they offer GF. Thats life with a food allergy. The hummus looked good, but then it had pieces of bread stuck right into the hummus, and was covered with strong-flavored olives - to each his own.
We had some time to kill on a Saturday afternoon and happened across Vezzo. The kids love pizza and it was convenient so in we went. Seated promptly, were brought water, and our order taken. Pizza came out fast, and it was GOOD. Very reasonably priced. Super thin with just enough sauce. What was as impressive as the service and the pie, had to be the cleanliness. Tables, floors, restrooms, everything was spotless. Kudos to Vezzo for making that a priority.
The salad and the salad dressing were off the charts good, but the Pizza tastes like the frozen Celentano pizza my mom would make me on a half day in grade school. I loved it then, but not exactly what I want now. Its good for families if your kids arent fussy about the quality of the Pizza. The service is hit or miss. Its mostly hipster millennials or slightly older hipsters who arent good with people skills, not necessarily bad, just not great like at Marta or Patrizias or basically any other pizza joint
A friend and I randomly came across this place in our Google-search for good thin-crust pizza. We shared a full sized half plain -half shroomtown mushroom pizza. It was excellent. The service was great as well.I then ordered a single scoop of chocolate gelato which was ample. It tasted as if someone had turned good hot cocoa into an ice cream which I loved. Would definitely recommend this place for #thincrust lovers!
We only found out about this place a couple of days before heading home during a 5 day break in NYC. Wish we would have found out about it sooner - pizzas were always fresh and of exceptional quality. Nice choice of wines and beers and all at a very reasonable price. Highly recommended.
The food is delicious. But as the previous post pointed out- the service is horrible. We were rushed. We asked for serving forks as we were all sharing salads that were never given to us until we asked again. Our pizza wasn’t cut and given to us. We dropped close to $200 and felt they were upset we were staying longer than 1/2 hour for dinner. Yes- we were that rushed. Wish I had sent back the check and told them to remove the automatic 20% tip and only given 15%.
Visited this place day before yesterday for dinner. 9/4/17.We were hungry and it was already 10:15 PM, We asked few suggestions to make our order, but the staff was so rude that he said make your own selection & place your order and left our table, as we went with our friends & their family & it was already late we didnt leave the place. We waited for our order & got the pizza. Its not thing crust pizza, its most thinnest pizza! Not absolutely worth the price. Just the base costs $17 for a large pizza and the toppings cost $3/EACH for a large pizza and cheese $4/EACH for a large pizza.Just for a pizza and a garlic bread we paid $58I asked for lemonade and they suddenly ran out of lemonade!Ill never visit this place again!
This is the best pizza ever. I dream about this pizza. We got this pizza when staying on Lexington a year ago and we talk about it all the time. Went back in April and had it again and it was better than we remembered. The crust is so perfect and thin. The toppings are fresh and tasty. The meat lovers is on another level! My girlfriend loves the shroomtown. Theyll do a 1/2 and 1/2 pizza for you which is awesome. Honestly, do yourself a favour and go to vezzo if youre in NYC!!
The food was good, the pizza seems to be better at posto, interesting because they own both. Not that vezzo was bad, I just have had better food at posto. It was a Monday night and the girl waitressing and working the counter was doing her best, she was extremely friendly and polite despite having to run around attempting to take care of everyone as far as I could tell. She honestly handled everything fantastic but 1 person can only do so much. Maybe they only had 1 person in the kitchen too?
My standard go to place for pizza in the city. Definitely get the garlic bread with cheese there as appetizer. Its pretty busy during lunch and dinner times during the weekend and they dont take reservations. However, if you go during of peak times, you will not be disappointed.
By far the best pizza in NYC! My family and I have been here over 5 times throughout our stay and loved it every single time. Definitely try the formaggio pizza with the arugula topping. If I could give six stars, I wouldnt think about it twice. Very thin-crust, extra cheese (every time!!!), and a wide variety of toppings so that you can adjust your pizza to the way you like it
There are certain foods your body does not like. Your sense of sight, smell and taste might, but internally you feel queasy after. That is my relationship with pizza and my once a month must have habit in spite of the general unease is down to once a year. I got tired of the battles with my intestines. After my last visit to Vezzo this may become a once in a five year trip to any pizza establishment. If ever. If I am to put my stomach through turmoil there has to be a payoff. Maybe I am particular but having a spicy pizza with sweet undertones does nothing for me. Those combination of flavors on a pizza is well, sacrilegious. And both pizzas (even though quite different on the menu) that I shared with a companion suffered from the same malady. A pizza should have no sugary sweet after taste. Vezzo really has no atmosphere to speak of, the service is passable. Whats the point really? However the Pinot Noir was a stand out. But my primary purpose and focus at a restaurant is the food and I no longer feel inclined to have a couple shot glasses of Swedish Bitters after a meal to calm a roiling stomach.
We waited at the bar on a Friday night for a table to become available. When the time ran over from what they told us they apologized and brought us complimentary garlic bread. A very nice customer service touch. I didnt partake in any cocktails or beer but, they had a great selection and the bartender was quick. The ambiance reminded me of an old school Italian restaurant with bistro tables and chairs but, with upgraded and modern touches. Our table was at the front and the person on the bit end was a little wobbly because of the floor being on an incline. Be careful when moving your chair if you are sitting here. The portion sizes of the salads are big enough to share between two people and the pizzas are easily shared between 3 or 4 people (16 inch pie). We decided to share a ceaser salad and as a table we ordered the shroomtown pizza and the salsiccia dolce. The ceaser salad was a classic take with just parmesan cheese, croutons, romaine and dressing. The flavors were simple and straight to the point. The shroomtown pizza covered in three different types of mushrooms and drizzled with white truffle oil was a cheesy dream. Somehow the delicate seasoning of the sauce, white truffle oil and all the other ingredients each stood out and not one ingredient overpowered another. The salsiccia dole pizza also had a hearty amount of ingredients topping it; italian sausage, caramelized onions and fresh basil. I cant say I have every had caramelized onions on a pizza but, I am a huge fan of this now and especially with the fresh basil. I was surprised the pizza wasnt watery from the cooked onions but, apparently they know how to drain toppings properly before placing them atop the pizza! I know it sounds like a given but, this happens to me all the time at other pizza places. The thin crust was crispy with the little burnt bits on the bottom of the outer edges which is just the way I like it.Tip: Friday nights are buy a bottle of wine and get a free pizza night!
They dont put enough sauce under their small custom 9 grain personal thin crust pizza pie. Its like eating white pizza with just cheese on it. The sauce is what gives it flavor. As simple as this is to do they still dont do it. Its not rocket science. Also lately, in past year, the personal pie brings one or two slices that are mostly brown, just dough- no cheese & sauce on it. Its happen too many times. The manager, sam, thinks you the customer are supposed to just accept that after paying close to $10. instead of solving the problem and finding a solution. He’s anti-customer and doesnt hold workers responsible.
Visited NYC from FL and randomly walked in and found awesome service, staff that all seemed like friends and great food. Staff was engaging, attentive and even gave tips for me and my friends on things to see and do. Good sampling of local brews and the staff was quick to recommend specials. I will be back again any time I come to Manhattan. True New York hospitality. Thanks folks!
I got a personal Parma pizza to go. When they say thin crust, they do mean THIN crust! I was a bit surprised to find ingredients like apple and crispy bacon that are not usually found on Italian pizza (I know I could have read the menu better). However, I had a bite and it was excellent to the point that I forgot to take a pic! The size is somewhat small for someone that crushes carbs like nothing.
I avoid NYC whenever possible, but when Im here I make it my business to hit this spot...the meat lovers pizza is great for your culinary carnivore. The crust on every pie they make is the truth...get a little indulgent and go for the bacon cheeseburger thin crust if you dont mind feeling guilty.
A bit tight but the food is worth it...Service is alright but again the food makes for every other negative point. The salads are fresh and well balanced..my friend doesnt usually eat arugula-based salad but she loved it because the salad (greek or Mediterranean) had fresh pears for the sweetness and walnuts...the pizza was out of this world😋
We have been regulars at Vezzo for years. We had noticed the quality of service delicing, however after this incident - we will not be going back to Vezzo. On Monday, 8/19 we arrived with an out of town guest for pizza. A part of 3 adults and 2 kids (1 a toddler). There was a wait time, and we were waiting outside. In the heat, our toddler who is very familiar with the place wanted to go in. The staff seating people told us that our child couldnt go in and out - fine. My husband sat on a stool with her inside. Long story short - the staff decided to delay our seating and when my husband asked why? There were empty tables ... next thing you know ... the guy seating people had a real attitude. I went in and asked my husband that we need to leave. When asking for the manager, we were told he wasnt available. My husband was cordial and warm as we always have been with the staff (this guy we had never seen before). At one point this place was our once a week stop (if not more).Watch out - if you want to be discriminated against and treated poorly ... visit Vezzo. The food doesnt make up for that.
Having eaten pizza all my life, I never realized - Id never eaten pizza until I ate here. The classica pizza is by far the better of the half and half thin crust personal pizza I had with the other half being the Chickpotle (which was still very good). Im from LA and texted my wife that I was eating a pizza that made me want to move to New York!
Minorities sit at the door. With many seats available in the restaurant, my colleague and I were relegated to a seat nearest to the front door so not only was there continuous foot traffic but gusts of wind would blow in with each patron that entered and left. Uncomfortable with the frigid air, I requested a change of seat. After a momentary hesitation, we were escorted through a door, to a rear area that looked like a VIP section. This area was much more comfortable, roomy and warm. Question: why didnt you bring us here to begin with. Waiters were great and food as well. Upon leaving, we noticed a woman sitting at that front door seat that we were initially seated at. A black woman.........................................

2022-03-27Great thin crust pizza with generous toppings but it is quite small, making a filling meal more pricey. They have a nice wine collection and is an upscale pizza place. They additionally sell pasta, desserts, sandwiches etc. The base despite being thin had a nice chew and was not too crisp. You will need to get at least 50% more slices than you would regularly, making you pay around that much more. Slices are around ($4-$5).

2022-07-04Checked out Vezzo for lunch during our first day in the city. We enjoyed the pizza and also had breadsticks to go with the meal. For our pizza, we got half pepperoni and half “shroomtown”. Staff was also very friendly and helpful!

2022-02-23Ok neighborhood pizzeria. Was there for a quick evening meal while in NYC on business. Initial impression was poor. Blase’. The pluses: the personal 9” pizza was delicious! Food came to the table hot. Cons: poor service, maybe a little unfriendly. Long wait. Cost (IMO) was high for the area.

2021-08-30Glad that this place has re-opened post covid. Their thin crust pizza is one of the best in New York city. I know many non pizza lovers also fell in love with their crispy pizzas.Would have given 5 stars if the service wasnt as slow as it was during my visit yesterday and there werent some minor misses (getting red pepper in place of sub dried tomate as pizza topping) to my customized pizza order

2022-06-01When I went there for the first time with one of my best friends, the server which we had was really friendly to us. We had cheese garlic bread with marinara sauce on the side as our appetizer before having the 16 inch flat crust meat lovers pizza as our main course. I felt full like crazy, I had to take the last two pizza slices home with me, especially the homemade chocolate chip cookie. Overall, my best friend and I both rely had a good time eating over there!

2021-09-25I had the personal pizza. I liked the crust however the cheese was kind of processed cheese. It wasnt pure mozzarella and the tomato sauce was little bit bland. Staff was nice but for $10 a personal very thin crust I think its not a good deal. I can get better pizza for the same price

2021-07-23Came here on a Friday night for dinner and it was decently packed. They have a good amount of seating inside although a bit cramped from what I saw. They have the side of the street for outdoor seating which is pretty nice. If it werent for the humid weather, it wouldve been a great night to be sitting outside. I have to say their outdoor seating area is one of the better ones Ive seen for the city.I have a stronger preference for thin crust than thicker crust pizza so I was excited to try their pizzas here. Everything else seemed pretty reasonably priced too. For food we got the bruschetta, quinoa and avocado salad, and chickpotle pizza (personal size). The bruschetta was alright. Nothing to special but had a decent amount of tomatoes on top. Not too much flavor though. The salad was huge so it was perfect for 2 (perhaps perfect to split for up to a party of 4). There was too much cheese for my liking, but the flavor was good and really enjoyed the huge slices of avocado that were on the perimeter of the plate. The chickpotle pizza was pretty good. I would say its a bit pricey for a personal pie and it was kinda small as well. Curious to see how big their large size is for double the price. Not pictured here, we also got the lemonade which came unsweetened but they give you a bottle of simple syrup on the side so you can make it to your preferred sweetness. Pretty great since lemonade can sometimes be too sweet or too sour so you can make it how you like. And you can definitely tell its not store-bought since you end up making it yourself. All in all, its a pretty decent pizza place and service was really quick. The outdoor seating was really nice. Would definitely come back if I am ever in the area again.

2022-03-09Great place for really good pizza! The restaurant itself is small, but man the pizza hits the spot!If you like thin crust pizza you will love this place. I dined in, so not sure about the takeout but lots of takeout orders were being made so I imagine the pizza is always fresh.Definitely A nice spot for some good NYC pizza, higher quality than most.
