I loved it here, I got highlights I loved the outcome and a hair cut my hair feels so healthy definitely recommend coming here!
I had not had a proper haircut in quite a while, so my hair was super long and without style. David absolutely transformed my hair! I brought a picture so he could see what I had in mind, and expertly cut it to what I had envisioned. He interpreted the picture so it made sense to my hair, and he gave me styling tips as we went. I was extremely impressed with Davids talent and eye! Highly recommended.
David and Jessy created a truly wonderful experience, I got a wash cut and blow dry and couldn’t be happier. I wanted to keep my hair long and my biggest fear at a new salon is that the hairstylist cuts it too short, but not David! You can tell he knows what he is doing while having genuine conversation. I went on a Sunday and had an appointment, they started me a little early and felt right at home the entire time. I recommend this salon for these services for anyone
I will never return to this salon! The owner David is very disrespectful and treated me badly. He embarrassed me twice in public in front of his clients. He has temper tantrums and literally escorted me out of his salon because I asked him how long the wait would be to get a wash and blowout. His salon is run with poor scheduling. He is ALWAYS behind schedule and you have to sit and wait while he flirts with his clients. He did highlights on my hair which is now overprocessed and I keep losing hair. I was always a generous person to him, but he takes kindness for weakness. I would not recommend this salon to anyone, unless you like abusiveness!
It was very rough haircut. Was not gentle at all. Wont recommend it to anyone. Was one of my worst haircut experiences ever! Dont go here. I asked for layers and recieved a flat cut. There were absolutely no layers and i felt like i got a headwaxing session. It was awful.
David is amazing! He not only has a great VIBE, but he knows what he is doing!! He is professional, friendly, knowledgable and honest. I am new to the area and was in desperate need of color and a haircut. I came from Queens and was use to going to high end NYC and Queens salons. I read his reviews (which are all great) and was able to get an appointment. I love that he listened and gave suggestions--I am a medium brunette with highlights and you would be amazed at how many hairdressers can mess this up! David did my highlights perfectly-thin and natural! He also cut my hair beautifully-better than my last hair dresser! He belongs in the Manhattan, but so happy he is here in Rockland! Since moving here I have been back twice and will continue to go to him. I am really so glad I found a hair dresser I can trust. I would totally recommend him to anyone looking for a hair stylist. Also, the lady who does eyebrows here did a great job.
I went to Vibe two weeks ago and the owner, David, gave me a great haircut. I am from NYC originally and had been going back there for services like highlighting and hair coloring, haircut while Im at it if needed so I was really interested in finding someone closer to home and Vibe came up in my search. David was very pleasant, accommodating (gave me an 8:00am appointment well ahead of the 9:00am opening time!), and gave me an honest opinion on what style would look best on me; I wanted to go a little drastic with my cut but his suggestion was much better and I couldnt be happier. I look forward to coming back for other services in the future--the real test would be highlights because I am VERY picky about how that is done (which I discussed with him too). Thank you, David, for a great experience!
I found this place via local search and decided to give it a try based on the great reviews. I have a short cut where my hair is shorter in the back and longer in the front and it is very hard to find someone that knows how to pull it off. Previously I had to go to a fancy expensive salon to get it done but since this was a holiday and i was short on time and decided to get a cut on a whim I find this place. First of all, the owner is super nice and friendly. He knew exactly what I wanted and made my cut look great. For the first time in a while I didnt have to go home and fix it. I love this place and it will be my new go to for color, cut and style and since it did not cost me an arm and a leg my hubby was super happy too.
David does such a great job, and I feel so confident stepping out agter a haircut by him. I was so relaxed by the shampoo wash by Nancy as well, so the whole experience from beginning to end was great. Respectful and pleasant people here. I only regret just finding this salon a few months ago, otherwise I would have gone previously.
I am absolutely in love with this place. David is a master at his craft, and does such a wonderful job every time I come here. His energy is so upbeat, he makes the experience so enjoyable!The rest of the staff, Carmen, and Vee are also so special. My mother has been going here for eight years, and it’s an amazing thing to watch David do his work.Without a doubt the best place in Rockland County for anything hair related !!!

I got my hair cut and it blow dried by David and he was there by himself and had 3 clients. So when he was doing my hair he was rushing. Then when he was blow drying my hair the phone was ringing so he handed me the blow dryer and told me to keep blow drying my hair. Then 10 minutes later while he was still blow drying my hair he stepped outside to smoke a cigarette as he had 3 clients sitting and waiting. Then proceeded to overcharge me for my basic service meanwhile I had to blow dry my hair while he answered the phone. Very unprofessional and he did a terrible job shaping the front pieces of my hair due to the fact that he was rushing.
David was able to accommodate me last minute and did an amazing job. Some stylists see long hair and dream about the drastic cut- he loved the length and was able to get it looking healthy and fabulous without sacrificing too much length. The shape is exactly what I asked for (provided him a picture for reference). I never felt rushed. I highly recommend David at Vibes.
I made an appointment several days in advance by calling them. The person who took my appointment didnt take my name or anything, after I agreed on a time he just said ok and hung up, which I thought was bizarre. I walked into the salon at my appointment time, and the only employee there was in the middle of coloring someones hair. It looked like he had just got started. I said I had made a 3:30 appointment, and he said ok and continued coloring the womans hair. I figured Id wait and hed get to me soon. Over half an hour later, he was still just continuing to color her hair without giving me any indication of when hed get around to actually cutting my hair, so I decided to just get up and walk out.In short, they dont seem to have any actual booking process so its a total crapshoot if youll actually be able to get your hair cut at the time you scheduled. He was inconsiderate and totally wasted my time.

Ive gotten my hair done by David for years and hes the best hair stylist in 2 states. I drive over an hour just to get my hair done by him. Easily as good if not better than the expensive salons in NYC. Highly recommend Vibe!

One star was too much to give not only the establishment, but the owner as well. First and DEFINITELY the last time ever. 10am appt waited on the owner while he went to the bank!!!! I had a picture of what I wanted done (see below), proceeded to tell me, Im not good with this kind of haircut are you kidding me!!! What professional and talented hair stylist has no idea how to cut a simple pixie cut!!!! Rude disposition for a first time what could have been a returning client!!!! NEVER!!!!

After passing by Vibe Salon for years, I decided to call and schedule an appointment. The owner, David, talked me out of getting a drastic cut, and in turn gave me exactly what I was looking for. Best haircut I’ve gotten in years! My face is framed wonderfully, the length is cute and manageable, and it looks great with minimal styling. I think I’ve found my new salon!
If you are looking for an outstanding colorist, look no further! Andrea, at Hair by Andrea, is the one! I came to her looking for help with my over processed hair that needed a whole makeover. She did an amazing job of restoring my locks to exactly what I was looking for. Aside from her skill of being able to assess and merge what was there with what I hoped to achieve, she did it with a dedication to quality like no other stylist I’ve known. In addition, she truly cares about her work as much as I cared about my hair. She invited me to come back in a few days if I found the color needed any adjustment. Thank you, Andrea!
David took the time to ask me how I was doing and how I wanted my hair to look. He is very patient and was able to set up an appointment within a few hours of calling. I was very happy with the results. I would recommend checking out this salon.
I stumbled across Vibe Salon by chance after another stylist in a nearby salon turned me away since my hair was too messy. David was very accommodating and an absolute delight to chat with.Make sure you bring cash if you go there though, since the ATM in the area wasnt able to read my card.
Ask for David to do bod long and he cut super short ! I am very upset 😔 now I know he don’t have no idea about bod long style. But easy he can say I don’t know but they just want you money my hair is long for long time now is near to my ear. I am so upset 😔 I never back to this place. So be careful with this guy when you cut you hair. Is no professional and poor quality.

David is an amazing stylist. I have gotten Keratin treatments, highlights and color with him for the last 6 years. My color and keratin always comes out awesome! He’s someone who will be honest and truthful about what you need and when you need it for your hair. I’ve even seen him turn down business because he didn’t feel it would be healthy for someone’s hair, which goes to show how ethical and honest he is.
My hair is very fine, soft layers with bangs, and i have been to a LOT of salons in search of a stylist that could get it right. And David absolutely nailed it!! It was like he read my mind, knew exactly what i wanted, and gave me the best haircut i have ever had. He exceeded my expectations and i will definitely be returning!

I came in for a perm with the anticipation that it would come out great based on the reviews I read here on Google. I was looking for a perm that would give me beautiful stylish big curls - what did I get? Frizz and dry damaged hair - but no curls nor even a wave. I am beyond upset and frustrated. I have never chemically treated my hair before. Client beware. If you like this place and come here over - thats great! If youre like me that trusted a stylist that was supposed to be great and my expectations met as they were clearly stated - I would have rather have him tell me that a perm wont work on my hair rather than ruin my my hair and look. :-(:-(:-(UPDATE: 9/16/2019 - Pam was very concerned that I was upset, she did everything possible to try to make matters better. I had a wedding to attend, Pam coordinated with Andrea to do an complimentary updo for me with extensions. I looked marvelous and beautiful, a princess! I truly appreciate all of Pams and Andreas efforts - these ladies are awesome!! Thank you!
The salon is bright and airy. I’ve never had a better shampoo experience. Andrea is a fantastic hairdresser and takes the time to talk over what you want done and makes suggestions to make you look and feel your best!! I’ve found my new salon !!

Found my new salon! I moved to Rockland about a year ago and have been putting off getting my hair cut. I decided to try Vibe since there were so many great reviews online, and now I know why! I had no idea what I wanted when I walked in, but I knew I was sick of my long hair - David helped me decide and gave me an amazing medium-length cut. Love it!!
Had my hair done by Irene today and she is the absolute best. She was not only super nice but she is very professional making sure I got the color and hairstyle I told her I had wanted. Also the staff is very friendly! Overall great experience!

I have been growing my hair since losing it allFrom chemotherapy.... Sadly, Upon a 3 years I was mentally prepared...I brought photosFor the simple fact I really like the cut I had prior. He was polite and nice as were most of the staff. I was very nervous and clear stating I wanted a graduated bob. After two hours in the chair I began getting curious asking for a Mirror. I left the salon in tears having one request of waiting ten months. After noticing it was all one similar length I textedDavid immediately who at first wasWilling to fix it. After three weeks of going there and 4 appointments I hadDecided beating cancer with no hair was way easier. But David isAwesomeAnd kind he jus needs someExtra directions that all. Great experience! I love the hair washing stations, it is so comfortable. I absolutely adore my color Irene-Nicole is the best; red is so hard to keep up but youd never know I wasnt a natural.
David books all appointments, but he doesn’t pay attention to the time or who is first, etc... This is now the second time he gave me an appointed time, I arrived according to when he told me to, but he was working on two other people at the same time... He sends me to get my hair washed , tells me to sit and wait 5 minutes, then someone else walks in who wants a full head of highlights and he takes her before me!!! All I wanted was a 10 minute hair trim... So disrespectful of client’s time. Very rude, made me wait for more than one hour with wet hair while he did this lady’s highlights, meanwhile I was there first, and on time for what he said was my appointment!!!! He needs a receptionist at the very least, but he also needs to learn to respect the people who are walking in to the salon to give him business, he has definitely lost my business and I am telling everyone I know to stay away if you don’t want to waste your time. I left that place feeling like I didn’t matter at all, how rude, how disrespectful, stay away from this place if your time is important to you!!!!

I took a chance on Vibe after searching for a hair salon in Rockland. Ive been going to another salon in Westchester for a while but needed something more conveniently located to home without compromising results. OMG!!!! From the moment I met David I knew I had found my new salon. He was busy cutting someones hair but engaged me in conversation about my needs. He somehow was able to give attention to everyone and everything going on at the same time. He was not only attentive but I felt at home in such a friendly environment that the chat with other customers became what seemed like a get together with old friends. Then I sat in the chair and he looked at me from every angle to see what would be best for me. He asked me what I wanted, I showed him a picture and he agreed but the result what better then I imagined. He took his time to perfect the look he wanted me to have....I went in for a simple haircut and left feeling like a GODDESS LOL. Going in for color and highlights soon...I cant wait to see his work and vision grow

David, the owner double books appointments. He took a customer without an appointment before me who had an appointment and then spoke VERY angrily with me when I became frustrated after waiting for a half hour. He has fired someone in front of me previously and is very unprofessional. I do not recommend this location due to customer service.

I made an appointment late in the day for a quick trim and David was super gracious about it, even though it was close to closing time and the salon was still full. After seeing how vibrant his hair cutting and styling looked on eveyone who walked out, I decided to go for that styling in addition to the trim. Christina was very gentle and did a great job and ,To say the least, I was not disappointed with that last touch of David’s unique professional flare. And the pricing was quite reasonable too.Thank you David for a job well done! Definitely found my new go to place!!

2022-02-11I was amazed at how wonderful they were! I did a Keratin treatment, and the results are unbelievable. I really didn’t imagine that my frizz could totally disappear like that.The customer service is next level, I asked for a late appointment and they stayed open hours after closing to accommodate me! I have definitely found my salon, and will be recommending them to everyone I know.

2022-07-11This is a week after the appointment I called the salon and was told they had an opening later in the day. I arrived a little early and observed there were two people in the salon, including one in the chair. I told myself I was early anyway and waited a bit until my appointment time. I went in and still had to wait. Eventually, I was shampooed. David told me to wait again because someone who had an earlier appointment came in. I was annoyed but said no problem. He told me I was next. I thought it was finally my turn, and a SECOND person came in! And he told me to wait again. When it was finally my turn, he kept taking breaks. All in all, the hair cut took seven minutes, but I spent an hour and thirty minutes sitting around waiting (an hour with wet hair). This isn’t even the first or second time David has done this to me. It truly is disappointing, but he really does not value his customers’ time or patience. My plans for the day were derailed, even after I made an appointment! At the end of this experience, I realized my haircut was also uneven in the back! I couldn’t believe it! After one week of grow out, my hair still looked bad. Very disappointing experience, and I don’t think I’ll be coming here again.

David is a warm and welcoming person and is excellent at his craft. His assistant, Carmen, is lovely. I plan to return for my next haircut, lowlights,and blowout.

2022-07-01I did keratin treatment for my hair today. I had a very good experience with David and Christina. Eventhough they close at 8:00 pm they stayed until 8:30 pm to finish the work. David did a very good job. I will definitely go back to them.

2020-08-14I went into Vibe Hair Salon to get my hair highlighted for the first time ever. I was extremely nervous because I have never colored my hair but David made me feel very comfortable right away. I showed him a picture of what I thought would look good for my hair color and he talked me through what he thought was going to look best. In the end I was thrilled and relieved to find out that the highlights I got from David looked amazing. I love it so much. It fits my personality and I feel like a brand new person.
