What can I say about this location?Well, first off holy cow the prices are crazy, says the person who has never eaten there before. Then you order the Mac and you wait upstairs in a basic grey modern sitting area like every cafe goes for. You eat a strawberry macaroon thinking to yourself, “damn I could’ve gone to another cafe for something like this.” Then your name gets called...bam you’re eating a mayo basil egg sausage sandwich with the freshest mayo and bread you ever tasted. The quality of the food is great and in my opinion worth it. I’d prefer if you got a side with the sandwich instead paying $8.00for a sandwich but I can’t complain, it was delicious and I will continue going there.
Really great spot to stop for lunch when at Eastview. Healthy options; I ordered the BLT with avocado and it was delicious. My mother ordered a salad (which I tried) and it was delicious as well; very tasty dressing and the croutons were beautifully seasoned. I opted for the grilled bread on my sandwich, which was the perfect touch. Cute atmosphere, very rustic. Only con would be to add more indoor seating, but it’s a small space so I’m not sure where that would be. But overall recommend.
Every, single time I order from here they it wrong. Today my salads arrived with no protein…. That’s some pretty over priced lettuce. I called and they made no effort to rectify the problem. I like the food so I’ve given them SO many chances, but I can’t do it anymore! Someone else please open a similar business who can get basic orders right!
I did not know this place existed as I have not been to Eastview Mall in ages. Went to meet friend for Coffee this past Saturday. Got a Carmel Espresso and two of their Macaroons. One Strawberry and one Lemon. Holy Moly were the Macaroons amazing!!! I will go back there again just to get another Macaroon. My friends also got coffee and they got fruit and breakfast sandwiches. We sat outside at a table in the sun. It was a great place to catch up and visit. Coffee prices were what is expected at a place like that with a bakery. I would go back. Staff was also very polite.
I figured I’d give it one more chance, used to live ordering lunch from here. Salad size has shrunk. Used to get a scoop of goat cheese with the farm table salad and at least half a chicken breast when adding it on. Now there are 3 small cubes of chicken and 2 small balls of goat cheese. Paid about $12/13 for a small bowl of lettuce and a few tomatoes. I’m done going there.
Omg I will never forget the strawberry eclair, and I have yet to find one that compares! It was so delicious and reasonably priced. The sandwiches and breakfast are tasty too. The location is technically connected to the mall, but it is its own building so you don’t feel like you are in the mall.
Great food last time I ate here. I always try to eat locally, but today these folks struck out! Panera Bread close by took my order the moment I walked in the door. At the Village Bakery, waited in line for 5 minutes while one employee helped a customer with a large order. The second cash register was unattended. Why have it if you aren’t going to use it? Other employees walked past the counter, but no one stepped up to the second register to take my order. If you have two registers, use them! And train your team to work as a team. The employee behind the counter could have called for help or acknowledged me and I likely would have stayed. You forgot the most important customer who walked in the door for a quick lunch; you have only a minute or two to capture that order during a business lunch.
I just want to say the food is amazing... and one of the employees is amazing and she really made my day on Wednesday. I think her name might of been Alex... she has long black hair and a couple tattoos on her arm. But she was really awesome. Give that girl a raise!!!!
I just love it. I worked here for a few months at the end of 2017, Eastview location. The food is all real and super fresh, not to mention super delicious. Oh and the coffee is superb. All the baked goods and bread come from their bakery in Webster daily. Orange cranberry scone is my favorite and the snickerdoodle bars. The bread is just amazing try the sourdough and sunflower seed flax bread. And did i mention that the whipped cream is real and made on location?? All the milk products come from Pittsford farms dairy. Pay isnt really good but its what youd expect workin in this industry n also the people that work there are great! Same company that owns these places owns TRATA and a couple other places cant remember which off the top of my head.
This location is hit or miss. Just sat through eating the driest sandwich where they got my order wrong, none of my condiments were put on the sandwich and it included bacon which I did not request. Many people do not eat pork. They arent over the top expensive but youd think I could get a decent sandwich for $12.
Lunchtime was very very busy, and there was a wait, but it was worth it. Avocado BLT was amazing! Bread was fantastic, perfectly toasted, served with kettle chips and a dill spear.Strawberry lemonade, would not recommend. Not the greatest flavor. But the sandwich was good worth the visit. I look forward to getting pastries sometime!

2022-05-12Love this place for a quick bite. Im gluten sensitive however their toast tasting is always worth the discomfort and my favorite item on the menu (comes with butter and homemade strawberry jelly). They serve breakfast all day if still available, have a nice selection of hot and cold drinks including coffee, menu items that do not disappoint and a bakery for those of you with a sweet tooth. Whats not to like?

2021-12-29Good food, poor service. I went around 2:30 pm and there was a decent wait. That’s fine, but they didn’t let people know that they were out of all breads and smoothies until you got to the front. The manager was rude to the employees and wouldn’t help us. There were good bakery options and a gluten free/vegan cookie!

2022-06-11I love the food here, I work in the mall so its nice to have a place like this to get food on break. But I ordered food 2 days in a row and both times something was forgot, first day they forgot my salad I had to go back and get it and the second day they forgot my syrup for my French toast, I work farther away in the mall so its always a pain to have to go all the way back over especially in the morning when I cant use the mall doors to get inside And I did not have time to go all the way back and get that, I feel like they are very rush rush even when its not busy, I feel like they are not very attentive to customers always just chit chatting amongst themselves. But the food is great and I will continue to go but always double check my order before I walk out.

2021-09-27I love Village Bakery, but unfortunately this location very poorly executed our order through grubhub. Both our drinks were disgusting (the smoothie had two whole dates in it and no ice so it was more of a weird juice texture, and an iced coffee with grounds) and they did not follow our instructions for dressing on the sides for both salads, so we had soggy salads to go with it.

2022-07-03This isn’t your typical mid mall food court spot. This is a pretty legit bakery with good sandwiches and smoothies. The bread is fantastic. I highly recommend the sourdough pan loaf. I go grab loaves of this periodically so we can slice it and have it for breakfast. The sandwiches at this place are excellent, but its mostly because of the bread. They could spread trash on this bread and id gobble it up.Anyways, check this place out next time you’re at east view! I’ve heard their location in Pittsford is great too :)

2022-03-02We seemed a bother to cashier today. My friend and I ordered coffees with our masks on (personal choice) and she seemed bothered she couldnt hear us. Coffees came up in two different locations, the coffee was stated so quick no portion of which I could detect it was ours. Later she rudely stated it was ours. Just trying to support VB instead of Starbuck down the hall. Nevermind.

2022-04-05Great food but awful customer service...Im sad to give such a low rating for this Village Bakery location at Eastview Mall but the workers just made the experience so unpleasant. They seemed so annoyed by our presence when we are there to support their business. Its too bad because the food was great, Ill give some stars for the people making the food, theyre definitely doing their job well but the women at the cash register made it hard for us to consider ever spending money here again. Its one thing to be unhappy at your job (thats understandable naturally) but to go out of your way to ruin the customers experience? So sad, I used to love coming here too, it was a better alternative to the malls food court. I hope things improve since the menu here is really nice...

2022-06-07I’ve been here a few times but today will be the last. The cashier was an absolute snot that was just annoyed that she had to put her phone down. Definitely the most miserable person I ran into today.

2022-06-28Very poor customer service. Did not answer phone. My order was not on the pick up shelf, I had to stand in line and ask for it because it was sitting on the back counter. I received the text my order was ready as I was on my way there so it had been sitting there a while. Staff was not friendly. And soggy sandwich.

2020-08-10What a nice little gem of a bakery and coffee shop. I ordered a pastry and a caramel iced latte. I was very pleased with both items. The coffee was deliciously fresh and was made just right. The pastry was also very fresh and delicious. They have a great menu, made to order breakfast sandwiches and plenty of dessert choices. Room for eating indoors or outdoors. The staff were very pleasant and professional. I would certainly come here again
