Service was fantastic. Food not so much. I had lasagna. Its texture was like it had been thawed then left under a heat lamp. Hard, rubbery and dried in spots. I didnt complain simply because the waitstaff was so nice, and attentive. Im hoping it was just a bad day, we all have them.
I love this place so much!! Its an amazing place to have a date or chill with family members. This used to be my grandmas favorite spot to eat but she rarely was able to eat here. The people were so nice. They always are. The food was absolutely amazing! I hope this place never changes. 😊
ASK FOR JORDAN!!!!! This place is hands down the best!! The service is spot on, Jordan is SO fun and friendly....the ABSOLUTE BEST server we have ever had!!! He gave suggestions that were perfect and we loved our dinner. The food is fresh and the best Italian food!!!! They were all all super friendly and Jordan made sure my small service dog left with a full belly and treated him like a king!!!! Dont pass up this hidden gem!!!!!
Went there for Mothers Day with my son and his girlfriends family. My first time there and it wont be my last. Food was excellent and our server was top notch. I had never heard of this place so on Saturday I did a dry run to find it. The outside is is ok but when you step inside its very pretty. Looking forward to being repeat customer.I forgot to add I had one of the best Reubens ever.
Being Thursday my husband was determined to try the special of Ozark Ribs. Totally sold out last week. He loved them. Im not a rib eater so I enjoyed the Bistro spaghetti..it too was packed full of sausage, meatballs and mushrooms. Both meals are worth the trip. Our waiter was a very pleasant young man who went over and above for us. We both has Swiss broccoli soup so there was absolutely no room for dessert and I dont have to cook dinner tomorrow. Great meal!
To begin with,, the food is always delicious. Ive eaten there a few times and have been delighted with my food choices. But our waiter was an entertainer to us. He was kind, attentive and funny. He has had a lot of experimental as a server and made us smile and laugh each time he checked on our party. We really enjoyed our evening.
Came to visit a friend in Lockport, we had take out from this so called Italian place! I ordered the stuffed manicotti! The noodles were hard as if sitting under heat lamp all day, disgusting The sauce taste like a can of Hunts u use to start out making sauce! The Italian wedding soup had 2 meatballs. Zucchini in wedding doesnt belong! For the prices you charge, u should put a lot more effort into your food
First thing to note is this place should be rated $$$ not $$, there is a portion of the menu that is more affordable that offers sandwiches, sub, and burgers. Most of the dinners were in $20 range for their pasta offerings and entrees. With that said, the food was delicious and prepared perfectly. Our waitress was attentive and performed her job flawlessly. We really enjoyed our stop here after a trip to Niagara Falls, we randomly selected this restaurant and were were very pleased. The owner was attentive as well, and so welcoming. Portion sizes were large and worth the $ spent.
It really is just okay. I had the shrimp Alfredo. Shrimo was good, Alfredo was not. It lacked flavor. Very bland. Pizza was decent, cup and char Pepperoni is always good. Cheese garlic bread was ok. Was pretty hard. First time going there, have heard nothing but good things, but I wont be going back. I dont think its worth it. The quality for the price just isnt there.
Alway love going to the Village Eatery great food and great service!! Last night was no different the food was outstanding, but the service was the best ,starting with the manager or maybe the owner Im not for sure a young lady tall with blonde hair. She waited on use while we were waiting on a table. She got our drinks and a appetizer. Then there was Rachelle our waitress this young lady was outstanding her service and personality were impeccable !! Thank you Village Eatery for a great night this was our 46 wedding anniversary dinner. And a big thank you to Rachelle your the best!!! 12-12-2020 Bill and Karen Jordan..
Went for dinner, husband got pork special, it was terrible, meat was hard and tough, had very little flavor. When we told the waitress, she said she would talk to someone, came back and said that they didnt think anything was wrong with it, so he left most of his 19.00 dinner there. We go there all the time, never had anything bad, but this was extremely disappointing.
First time there. Had a wonderful waiter. Brought 2 young children and they supplied bendable stick s for them to play with. The kids didnt have a chance to get anxious because the food kept coming. Great experience and the food was delicious as well. Love their bread and sauce.
One of our favorite restaurants- its not unusual for us to drive 40 minutes for dinner or to celebrate our family milestones. Great food, atmosphere, and service. The homemade bread and sauce is out of this world. The chicken parmesan is hand-breaded and prepared fresh and my sons love their steak subs.
It was our first time going tonight. It was an excellent experience, very nice and informative staff. A very active management to make sure everyone was having a great meal and a great atmosphere. The food was excellent and above expectations and fairly priced. The pacing between appetizers and main courses was also very good. Overall this was a great dining experience and cant wait to go back for more.
I tried this place a week ago because the pizza place I usually go to has just gotten average and this place came suggested. Meant to do the review then because the pizza was great but just wanted to wait and try some other things on the menu. Just went tonight and got 2 subs and 2 pasta dishes and all 4 were amazing. Highly recommend
I only order pizza/wings from here, so understand that is the limit of this review. Its good. Far better than the pizza shop right next door (Lockport City Pizza). I still dont think VE is the best in Lockport though. I think Molinaros is better, BUT theyve been going downhill, becoming arrogant, so VE might be the new champ soon!
Food was excellent, waitresses were very attentive and quick. They serve you fresh homemade bread with their pasta sauce, a very good treat.Meals were served attractively and ample. Desserts were offered but we declined.Parking is ample, and restaurant was easy to find. Restaurant has two rooms with tables. We didnt have to wait on a Sunday night.
Stopped with relatives. We were seated right away and brought drinks. I had the special that day, cajun shrimp salad. It was absolutely fantastic! A little spicy, I had to eat my garlic toast that came with it to cool my mouth down a bit. So flavorfull and delicious. Great food, service, and the prices were good too. I have had their shrimp scampi before and loved it also, its lemon and garlic wine flavor were superb! I have eaten here many times over the years from when my cousin was working here years ago to put herself through college to today. I have always had a terrific eating experience here and recommend it if you are in the area. Also if you like martinis, they serve really good specialty ones....enjoy!
Its been a few years since we have been here, its 30 minutes away from us. We should have not waited this long. I had prime rib and my wife had linguine with clam sauce. Both were very good. Warm bread and sauce is giving to you. The red sauce is sweet and delicious? We took home a peace of creamsicle cake and peanut butter chocolate tort. We were to full to eat dessert at the restaurant. We will be back sooner than later.
We ordered pick up to bring food home to eat. The order taker was rude and impolite. The server at the counter was just as rude and impolite as the order taker. We asked for a side of green beans and we got 5 of them and paid a lot of money for them. The food was good but not worth what we paid for it. It would be great if they had politer counter service people. We won’t waste our money there again.
Food was good. Service was way to slow, after waiting 45 minutes, then having to ask where our food was, had them box the sandwiches we ordered to take them home to eat. It should not have taken that long for what we ordered. Waitress did give us 20% off, thank you. Just not happy with the wait.
We recently moved to the Lockport area. Have been trying local restaurants. Village Eatery is by far the best!! Our waitress, Catherine, was awesome. Was extremely informative on all menu items. The Reuben was delicious! Homemade bread was superb. We will definitely be back many more times in the future.
My wife has celiac disease so we were looking for a place in lockport area. The village eatery showed up and there was only a 10 minute wait on a Friday night. They had a large GF menu of items. My wife enjoyed her stuffed raviolis. My seafood platter was very large and delicious. I highly recommend the village eatery. We plan on going back many times more. If you go say hi to Jordan. He was our waiter and a lot of fun.
Wow! Not once, but twice. Been there twice in the last 3 weeks. Friday nights, no reservations, sat down both times within 30 min. Place was very busy both nights. Partner had beer battered fish fry each time. Consistently good...crispy on the outside, done perfectly on the inside and full of flavor. I enjoyed 2 different specials each time.First was the Bistro Cod. Very generous sized Cod fillet in a white clam sauce on a bed of pasta (not sure of the name). Just a taste monster... everything about it was mouthwateringly delicious.Next was a Salmon special. Shredded Salmon in a tasty Diavolo sauce over pasta. My only complaint on this was that there was more artichokes than Salmon in my serving. But, the flavor kinda made up for the lack of fish.Cant wait to go back and see what seafood specials they have again. The servers were both great each time and they have a nice selection of beers and wines. Clean place, decor hasnt changed in awhile...who cares! With food this good they could put me at a picnic table.
Ive only been here on Friday night for their fish. I can says its always busy, usually takes a while to be seated. The staff can sometimes be slow. I have waited an hour for my food when someone seated after me has had their food out before me. I have even order to go and had to wait for that food.
Where quality and service has not been forgotten. Enjoy both dining in and take out. A special Thank you to Emma who always greets with a smile and knows her customers. I appreciate the great service as it is becoming a lost art. We look forward to our next visit. Regards, Chuck
Food at the village is always tasty and high quality. The staff is always attentive and friendly. The only boo is the price a bit expensive. Maybe you pay for what you get. And this is why its a bit pricey.Would I recommend the eatery the answer absolutely a yes. just keep in mind you are paying for the complete experience.
I love Italian food, so finding this spot was a wonderful feeling.... until I ate their food. My burger was the size of a golf ball, and entirely pink when I said NO pink. I had also ordered meatballs and spaghetti with sauce on side. There was ONE meatball and barely an sauce. This isn’t my first encounter with having disgusting food here but it definitely was my last. Haven’t been back since to waste my hard earnedmoney!
Have to say the food is standard and when I went to do a pick up order over the phone they asked if I wanted to have it delivered. I thought I could save the all of 3 minute trip so said ok to delivery and without it being on their website or telling me it was a 4$ delivery charge. Come on....although it doesnt seem like a crazy amount most places only charge 1-2$ extra. I seriously only lived about a mile away. If I wouldve known I wouldve just picked up like I had planned to and saved the charge and tip I gave and had hot food vs. warm.
First let me say that I have been to the Village Eatery several times and it has always been good. However, I ordered two meals for take out yesterday, ( the chicken marsala and the chicken capri,) and I can not even explain how TASTELESS they were!! Absolutely AWFUL, I was so disappointed! I called the restaurant and asked to speak to a manager and I was put on the phone with a gentleman who told me he is the one who cooked the meals. I expressed my displeasure and got the feeling this man was not very happy with me. He offered to remake the meals.......ummmm no thank you! Wish he would have offered me a refund, total bill for 2 meals that went in the garbage...42$ Pretty sure I will be steering clear of the Village Eatery for a while!!!!
Nice place. They accommodated our large group with short notice. We were traveling with a youth baseball team and werr afraid we would be too loud. The staff was very nice and patient with us. The food wasnt spectalcular but it had a wide range for all tastes and likings.
Less than impressed. Very average French Onion Soup. My companions salad was dried out. The fish on their fish fry is previously frozen... the waitress told me it was fresh and never frozen when I inquired. My friend had the manicotti, the filling was like ricotta soup with such an overpowering garlic taste I spit it in my napkin after he asked me to try it and see of it was just him or what did I think. The manicotti shells were literally gummy and underdone.I hadnt been to the Village Eatery in a few years but had always really enjoyed their food previously when I lived in the area. I was upset I suggested this place to my friend out of at least 7 other great places in Lockport.***Oh, and on top of it our waitress was passing by our table while we were having our meal and literally crop dusted us.... if you dont know what that means google it. Trust me, it wasnt pleasant and was the icing on the cake. Another $50 totally wasted.
This place sucks. Ive been in here and ive ordered take out. im never a picky person but when an order is messed up EVERY SINGLE TIME ITS RIDICULOUS. THE PRICES ARE DISGUSTINGLY OVER PRICED. not only to find hair in my food once, and a green twist tie in my burger.... i gave this place one last chance and ordered a simple chicken parm. Chicken was raw in the middle and my pasta was cold and undercooked.. WHAT A TERRIBLE SCAM OF A COMPANY.
Im soo over this place.. My husband and I were going every Saturday night because he just loved the prime rib. I would get some soup and a steak and hope for the best. Now if he wants prime rib hes beat.. I refuse to continue to pay for crappy food.. My dinner has never been cooked correctly.Ive found hair..Ive had plastic wrap stuck to the plate from the microwave. They forgot to heat up my soup. Ps Italian wedding soup is canned. They brought be a steak that wasnt even put on the grill it was completely raw. .Burnt red sauce.. Soo nasty..And then come out and be like ok well heres the bill $85.00 pleaseUmm no..
I get take out all the time and iys almost always very delicious but i just left there and got a pasta con vodka and chicken supreme and its awdul. I spent almost $50 and its complete trash the sauce on both is literally soup . Worst experience ever if i spend that much money i should get the same thing everytime this is the second time its been likenthis i guess it dependsnon the cook whos working which should never be the case need some consistency. But usually there pretty good .
Food is awesome! Portions are huge, I have never finished my meal completly and always take home something. They serve homemade italian bread while you wait for your meal and have a very nice wine list. Try the ozark ribs on thursdays, there are no words to describe how good they really are!
The older woman who was the waitress gave me and my grandmother attitude when i looked at the pre selected menu and said is this all there is to eat she says yes (its a lunch after a family members funeral) she says they were pre selected and payed for i said ok well can i order from the regular menue and pay for it she says no with an attitude and just walked away from my grandmother and me. Terrible service not to mention the restrooms are not handicapped accessible

2022-03-21The Village Eatery is my “go to” local restaurant! The food is great, the atmosphere is beautiful and I always feel comfortable bringing my toddler because the staff is so kind and attentive. I love that they have “call ahead” seating and even when there is a wait for a table, the drinks and service at the bar are top notch. And their desserts…AMAZING!

2022-03-16Love the atmosphere for date night or with friends & family. Have been here many times and Italian dishes are top notch. Fresh baked bread with sauce is a delight. Due to lent chose fish. Would’ve liked a vegetable option but just left behind cole slaw and potato so paid for not much to eat. Added a salad for bulk as the fish was small. Pizza was not something my hubby would get again. Had no flavor and poor cheese quality. More garlic and seasonings too maybe!

2019-07-29The village is a nice restaurant for dates and to gather socially. I have been coming here for years and love their Medium wings and pizza subs. The pizza is also good but you need to order it with the spicy pepperoni. Sometimes the service can be slow but over all I feel its worth a visit.

2022-06-24While the food portions were huge, I ordered a chicken and pasta dish. I hardly found any chicken, but an overload of cheese. The melted cheese on top was so thick I was able to cut it with a knife.

2022-06-12Everything was delicious as usual! One of the owners was going around right along with the rest of the staff taking plates, getting drinks talking with guests etc. Very nice to see.

2021-12-05Usually they are decent… food is good, if you plan to dine there.. but some of the staff have an attitude.I tried to order for delivery and was told they only deliver a four mile distance and that we were 4.8 miles away. Google Maps has them listed as 3.6 miles. So they lost a sale tonight and probably a loyal customer.
