Lunch for 6 adults, great draft beer & specialty cocktails selection, vegan option, awesome sandwiches, quesadillas. Fun atmosphere, loud & raucous. Highly recommended!
Nice place with great service and a unique menu. The reason for the 3 stars was the mistakes on my order, one is okay but two on the same order is no good. I asked for no BBQ sauce and when I received my order it had no cheese and lots of BBQ sauce. When I told the waitress she brought me back an overcooked burger with no cheese and no pickle. I’m assuming it was recycled from my original order.

Have nothing bad to say about it, food was excellant, burger cooked perfect (3 stooges sliders) the homemade chips, giant pretzel, garden salad, roasted veggie pannini and the service where all great, will def be back

Spicy Chicken Gyro was very bland with no flavor. Grilled chicken has a dry Cajun seasoning , the taziki sauce is not enough flavor for the wrap. Very disappointing tastes like air. Fries are bland and undercooked , very overpriced. The food is overpriced and they no longer honor their loyalty discount. Very disappointing will not be loyal customer anymore.
Went to have wings and a beer with a friend around 6.30 on a Wednesday night. Service was under par this day. The restaurant was not packed due to snow, yet we still waited 15-20 mins for drinks, both of which were draft beers, and one of the glasses having multiple lipstick marks around edge. The waitress attention was with a male companion at the bar, which we felt was not professional at place of employment. The wings were good, however the service was unacceptable.
First time down at the pub.. Myself and my 3 boys (7,12,16) headed down to watch the NYCFC match and have some food. We ate like Kings, I had a few beers and we watched the entire game.. They put match on multiple TVs so we can all see from every angle. The apps were on point.. Wings, Chessey fries with gravy, the pretzel was awesome.. Then we ordered food. Boys all had burgers and I got the Shrimp Po Boy.I am looking forward to coming back to watch some of our teams away games!Thanks to staff for letting us take ups table for 90+ min.
Two appetizers (fried pickles & teriyaki wings) both were bland. Our burgers were also bland & overcooked and the fries that came with them were frozen fries that werent well cooked. We were so disappointed because wed heard good reviews in the past.
Stopped in for lunch , food was great . Service was great also , very friendly and attentive. Definitely worth visiting.
Went to Oakdale location this evening for dinner, with my wife and daughter. Walked into pub, found it was poker night. Waited by door for 5 minutes, and no one came to seat us. Finally I asked a waiter if we could seat ourselves, he said yes. We sat, waited 15 minutes, and no one came over to table to offer a drink or menus. Finally walked to rear, and asked waiter, if someone could help us. Said he would be right over. Another 5 minutes, waited, no one came and we finally walked out. Too busy with degenerate gamblers, to worry about dinner patrons. Dont think we will ever be back. Poor service.
A great bar with a friendly atmosphere and a large beer selection and some excellent and unique bar food. They also have an outside seating section. You will love it
Love the staff here, the bartenders are friendly and fun to be around. Always a good crowd on the weekends. The food is awesome and hits the spot, typical bar food with a twist. The spinach dip bread bowl is fantastic.
Surprisingly good pub food with amazing good music (GO KYLE!). Great price for great service. The Cajun Shrimp wrap is delicious.... also, their fried jalapenos are wonderful. Highly recommend
Love this place. Food is way above pub fare and Caitlin the bartender is spot on.... this is who you want serving you when youre looking to get out for a drink and a bite to eat. Your glass is never empty and she is always making sure is stays that way. 5 out of 5
The Service was alright, not the best but we would go back. The food was good. A little too noisy after 6pm if youre looking for a place to have a relaxed conversation. Prices are reasonable.
The staff is amazing, but the food was mediocre. Went for breakfast and it kind of felt like they dont know how to do breakfast there. Or if they do they are trying to cut corners. We had to ask for butter for pancakes and waffles. The pancakes came on a square plate so the syrup runoff made a mess. Otherwise its a nice atmosphere. Its hard to give a place like this an ok review thats based only on breakfast. Im sure they are great as a bar that just happens to serve breakfast as a side thing.
Most disgusting salad I have ever had in my life ,ordered the Bistro salad ,I don’t know what the hell I got,I almost threw up ,my wife’s salad was the same ,the cheese was spoiled , I had to stop for pizza to get the disgusting taste out of my mouth ,it had nothing of what it said on the menu ,
Love the food...ordered 2x now for delivery. The first time food showed up almost an hour late. This time I put the order in over an 1 1/2 for delivery and they lost my order ticket. No manager on today and my food will be over 45min late.
I enjoy there food! There selection of taps always changing is a plus for me because I like to try different beers. So I like that they have many taps and that there tap system always produces a good cold beer just how it should be! Some times its a little loud in there but overall good place
Oyster Bay Pumpkin beer on tap with cinnamon sugar rim was perfect. Reuben sandwich delicious as were the crab cakes. The fish and chips chips were way over cooked. Atmosphere is very loud, at least 10 TVs in a small room, thats cool, but then they have a football game cranking through the stereo speakers on ceiling, to the point you have to yell conversation with friends. Way to loud. Did I mention it was very loud there? If it werent so loud, Id rate it 5 stars
Ive been here in the past. I was surprised by how great their brunch was. Excellent food options with drinks to pair. The prices were reasonable as well. Will definitely be back for brunch

Love the second location in Oakdale! Weve needed a cool go-to pub to watch games and hang for awhile. Wing night is awesome and I love the craft beer selection. Had a killer breakfast last month. Loaded bloody Mary = perfection
Always great food and atmosphere. Friendly lady bartender at Oakdale location today. I usually sit at the table. One of the very few good chain restaurants.
If you ate here between Oct.29th and Nov.2nd you should get tested for Covid19 as soon as possible you may have been exposed to an outbreak. If positive your advised to self quarantine for 14 days.
Good food but I will only do take out. Atmosphere is cramped and loud. Tables and patrons on top of one another. Band I right on top of you. Outdoor area is nice.

Had service that took 20 minutes after each drink order and the manager was extremely rude when our original waitress incorrectly placed every single drink order. Use to go once a week and will never go again. Thank god for the second waitress who was actually good
Do not compare this place to there place in patchogue. The village idiot in patchogue is superb. This new one in Oakdale not so much. The waitress was absent n uninvolved. My burger that I ordered well done was burnt. It took 15 min to get our drinks. The pretzel bun was flat n lifeless. All in all the good n service was poor. Next time Ill jus go to the original village idiot on main st in patchogue.
Been going with a large group every thur. Place is trending down. Filet mignon sandwich now sliced instead of whole piece . Charged extra 75 for salad dressing that shouldve been on in the first place. Then the killer for me was .75 for mayonnaise on a BLT. Last I knew that was a condiment! Will advise on Patchogue locations....But great beer selection ...that changes often. Chrystal had been our server and is the best theyve ever had
Awww this place is awesome especially on weekends and some nights they have a live band and live dj poker night bingo night trivia night and different genres you will always have fun with so much different things to do at this place the food is amazing and the drinks from the bar impeccable I recommend this place highly

Came here on a Saturday for lunch with my uncle and two nephews, 8 and 6. The staff was great, came over with crayons and kids menus for the boys. I plan to come back when friends for drinks soon.

Had a great time at village idiot. Would have given 5 stars but played otb for the horses and when we tried to cash out our ticket was told to go to boheima to get our money. They didnt have any money to do so. Why offer the service if you cant pay the the ticket out.
Its a bit on the pricey side given the portions, but they have a decent selection of beer on tap. The music is always way too loud at nights
They are rude and every working musician on LI knows they hire a religious cult to place musicians. I know a s load of people who got burned by them. Go check out the FB li music forum if you dont believe me. The cult is being looked at recently for not paying taxes.
I went with my boyfriend, he wanted to order a beer and I didn’t drink alcohol because I was taking medication and the bartender charged in our check the water for 4 dolars for real! I will never go there again!
Very cool local pub/tavern good selection of beers and wide selection of appetizer s,laid back atmosphere with occasionally having live music I give the place a thumbs up had a group of friends meet up here for a school reunion all went well a thumbs up on this one.

Literally every time I order from here they never give me the extra sauce I ask for and sometimes they give me the wrong sauce completely like it’s not hard to give a person ranch!

Good solid town pub. Went there for a charity event and had a decent crowd for a Thursday. Music was just a bit loud to hear people nearby. Maybe I just cant hear.

2021-10-30Another tasty review coming your way.I had the luck of going to the Oakdale location of T.V.I., Ive been to the other locations, and was glad I did. This was after we were intending on thing to another pub in the area. They were full, when I searched the area for a place to eat, I saw T.V.I. pub was right up the road (I wasnt aware of this before), that was where we headed.I went into the pub to see if there was an open table and to my luck, there was 1 in the back. (After the fact, I saw an outside area that we edited through, which I will say was warm)We were 3 and a baby, the staff were very accommodating. Our waitress Liz came over and I could see we hit the jackpot with Liz. She was on fire and in total control of the table and her area!Liz got us our beers fast, 2 pumpkins and an IPA! Start the fun! We started with the Bavarian pretzel, which was hot, soft, buttery and delicious. Also some mustard and Bang over the top! We also had the grilled quesadias which was overstuffed with chicken.....youza, and the ultimately delicious, 8 wings with the Parmigiano garlic......oh boy, kiss me now! And of course, the yum yum eat em up Mac-N-Cheese! 🧀For dinner, we ordered the Ahi tuna tacos, 3 stuffed with tuna and cabbage for some crunch! Since they were out of ribs :( ☹ I ordered something different. I got the grilled cheese with fries. :)😃! And Liz (wei was on fire now!), suggested adding some bacon 🥓 😃 🙂 😺! Unbelievable, the grilled cheese was OUT OF THIS WORLD!! We also ordered a turkey provolone and arugula pannini, which was a special.Sum it up, T.V.I. but the mark in every area and Liz was the conductor of this amazing masterpiece, and of course, kudos to the kitchen for their masterpieces as well.You rock Liz!

2021-09-12This is a very nice little Irish pub. I ordered a reuben sandwich which is my go to when I cant decide what I want. The sandwich was one of the best Ive ever had. It was made with real think sliced corned beef. The fries were also really good and crispy.

2022-05-22I was surprised to see the place so empty on a Saturday at dinner time. When I ordered my meal I requested my fries be well done. When they came both of our fries were barely cooked. The waitress noticed and apologized, she brought us more fries....cooked but still not well done. I really hate the amount of fries that went to waste because of this. My sandwich was very good, my husbands bread was burnt but the meat was good. Not her fault, fault of the kitchen but on top of that service (for drinks) was very slow. Now I know why they were empty. 😔

2022-05-02We went for brunch on a Sunday, the only person staffed was the bartender and barback. Took forever to get food. It definitely wasnt her fault because she was just overwhelmed but the place needs a dedicated waitress for the tables. I got the breakfast quesadilla and the sause was kinda gross.

2022-01-01OMG the food here is absolutely out of this world! The sh*t sandwich is the sh*t the flavor and size of this sandwich is amazing! The Cajon chicken gyro is to die for! The Irish balls appetizer is a Ruben sandwich in a ball that has great flavors! Huge servings and great atmosphere!

2021-08-23I always liked this place BUT lately it has gone downhill! Went tonight for a burger and some drinks and the music was soooooo LOUD we could NOT hear ourselves think! Someone from our party went to the bartenders and asked if the music could be lowered and a heavy set young girl in her 20s just kind of shrugged off the request. Not only did the music NOT get lowered Im reasonably certain it was made even louder! I felt like I was in nightclub and it was only 4:30pm in the afternoon. A party sitting next to us with three children were obviously experiencing the same discomfort because ALL THREE children had their hands covering their ears. We quickly ate what we ordered and left. Couldnt risk hearing lose for additional drinks. The food wasnt as good as in the past either. Whom ever is running things in the Oakdale location is NOT concerned for the comfort of the customers. Looked to me like the bartenders were having their own private party at the expense of the paying customer.***In response to the owners answer...it was NOT the patrons that were over-bearingly LOUD it was the music being played in the establishment at 4:30pm in the afternoon. Most of the clientele at the time were 40s plus YET it was very, VERY LOUD RAP music being played and NO ONE looked like they were enjoying it except the two 20 something bartenders. AGAIN...it was an atmosphere more fitting for a nightclub at 1AM than for families or couples getting a bite to eat and a drink or two on a Sunday afternoon. We usually go there on a Sunday afternoon and only experienced this in the last few weeks. I think it SHOULD be delt with or it will end up a nightclub atmoshere with a less savory clientele.

2021-05-12Elise our bartender and server was great!The lunch special burger, fries and a beer was less expensive than lunch at a Wendys and it was a great post golf round lunch! Looking forward to returning!
